Fantas I've tried around the world
Fanta is one of the most prolific soda brands around the world, and of all these different flavours I've tried, 13 different countries are represented.

Tango and Joel??? Cute nicknames???
Does anyone have any context on fanta for tango.
[update from replies: Tango is the name of an orange fizzy drink in the UK, much like the orange fizzy drink Fanta, I declare that adorable.]

she snorts. she thinks he's making an ironic observation. maybe even a statement.
"right. not much in the way of sights around here. people call this part the ass-end of midtown. sure feels like it. are you here for a vacation?"
He scans bottles of liqueurs behind her head: none of them seem to give any indication of their true flavours besides the colour. Neon blue, High-vis Yellow, American Fanta Orange, Vantablack black.
He follows her gesture. His head whips behind and back. "Which one?"
They all look like that.
#corsey#deco & ruth.#i'd be so embarrassed if i was uk fanta orange and i saw what american fanta orange looked like.

should probably make an intro post, i'll make a better version in the future lol
i'm lucas, 19, from the UK, he/him. this is a blog for me to talk about disability and related topics, i'll probably reblog some general stuff too though.
i don't mind sharing my diagnoses etc if asked but don't see any point making an exhaustive list for no reason.
relevant disability stuff:
i have a limb difference (rotational deformity). my body has been visibly disabled since birth, i'm a full-time crutch user since i can't weight bear on my twisty leg. don't call me deformed.
i had a traumatic brain injury recently which resulted in a significant loss of vision; i also have expressive aphasia. i'm still finding my place in the blind/VI community and figuring out which terminology to use - i meet the criteria for legal blindness/partial sight but sometimes use VI too. i use a screenreader and rarely reblog undescribed images.
i have severe ADHD, navigating newly medicated life. also diagnosed PDA profile autistic, dyspraxic, and sensory processing disorder. disability stuff aside, music is probably the most important thing in my life, i spend most of my free time playing guitar and going to concerts, punk/grunge subculture wise but other fav genres are classic rock, emo, metalcore and goth rock. physical media enthusiast, i don't have a smartphone and i love talking about it. i like public transport, nature, smoking weed, supermarkets, mango fanta, psychedelics, illegal activity, cigarettes, talking to strangers and animals. i hate cops and tiktok. i love meeting new people and answering questions (disability related or otherwise), dms and asks are always open. tracking # lucas talks , i don't usually tag content warnings but let me know if you want anything particular tagged. i don't have a dni, just be normal. nice to meet you all and thanks for reading :)

Odd question, but is Ewan drinking Fanta in the BBC clip? Iām not as familiar with UK beverages haha, so Iām not 100% sure. It looked like orange soda though, and as a fellow orange soda enjoyer itās really funny hahahah.
Itās Fruit Twist flavoured Fanta! Fanta is a brand of fizzy drink, the OG flavour is orange, but you can get others like fruit twist, strawberry and lemon. The fruit twist flavour tastes like sugar and not much else, so it makes sense that Ewan would like it lol

okay so I'm a brit by birth. I've lived in the uk my whole life, have never left until 2 weeks ago when I flew to canada, alone, for a 3 month internship. here are some of my observations about canada (specifically toronto, as that's where I'm staying) thus far: -smoking and vaping is not normalised at all here compared to in the uk. the uni campus I'm staying at is completely non-smoking, which is something that would never fly in the uk. this is definitely a good thing btw -people will not hesitate to compliment you if they like your outfit. I've been waiting around where needed and people have just,,, complimented me out of nowhere -I'm not sure whether it's because I'm in a major city, but the amount of homelessness is shocking. as part of that, the homeless community seems to consist of lots of drug addicts. I have the utmost sympathy for them and hope they're okay, but it's a little shocking to see sometimes -the public transport is amazing. again, may be because it's a major city. but all the Canadians I've met have complained about it, and I'm just here in wonder because I can easily get anywhere fairly quickly!!!! -I thought canada would be colder. I know it's summer, but I've been consistently boiling since I got here -groceries are insanely expensive. I can't wait to get back and go to a big Tesco!! -fanta is wrong here. why is it so orange??? why does it taste like that??? I've found a British shop that does proper Fanta, and I need to go stock up -I miss proper chips -I miss regional accents!! I feel like all the Canadian accents I hear are the same -it's also true what they say about Canadians loving the british accent. however, I have a very specific regional accent that people seem to find difficult to understand, so I've found myself schooling myself into a more RP acceptable accent -your banking system is very strange and I don't like it
#canada#uk#british#zia talks#first time traveller#in case yall were wondering I'm doing an internship#I'm working on gender stuff which is very interesting as someone who is genderqueer#I doubt this will get much attention but I'd love to hear the opinions of any Canadians on this

I still canāt fathom that American people are real so hereās my question: whatās your favorite food? Like, the kind of stuff you get at Walmart or sth. Bonus points if it looks like itāll make you glow in the dark and is not allowed in the EU.
- š¦
Howdy š¦ anon! š
š¤£ well honestly, most of the stuff we have here probably wouldnāt cut it overseas (can confirm that a lot of the dyes used in our food are banned at least in the UK - Mountain Dew for example; and plus sugar content is super inflated here!)
And favorite food? š¤ well Iāll give you my fave soft drink thatās literally only available in maybe like two Southern states and thatās Grapico š (image below for example). Itās a grape flavored soft drink thatās like a million percent of your daily sugar intake š¤£ and Iāll fist fight anyone who says that Fanta or Grape Sunkist or even Crush Is better cause itās not š

Did you know this and why is it allowed here in the America?!
Fanta Orange in the US vs. the UK
UK Fanta gets its color from carrots, pumpkins, and orange fruit, while the US version gets it from dyes (red 40 and yellow 6).
Also about 3 times as much sugar in the US version versus the UK version, and the US Fanta has high fructose corn syrup while the UK version has sugar.
Also there's no orange juice in American Fanta. But there is in the UK Fanta.
