WOWIE!! HAPPY 2012 FROM HOT TOPIC!! X3

So I thought it’d be a fun style experiment to draw Em in a sort of late 2000s- early 2010s scene/alternative cartoon inspired art style :,D I’m not entirely sure how well I pulled it off but I’m definitely happy with the result I think!

I made a MegaSound fanchild (Fanspawn? Fanspark? Fansparkling???)

Meet Kaon!

^ Adult Kaon ^

- Megatron was the one who named him (because of course he would be the one to name his offspring Kaon). Soundwave loved the idea.

- No, that visor is not something he can take off, that is his face. His actual face.

- Kaon is obsessed with scavanger birds. His favorite is a big bearded vulture he named 'Steelclaw' that he raised from egg. His obsession with birds probably originates from Soundwave's bond with Laserbeak. Why scavanger birds specifically? That's still a mystery.

Small concept of Kaon and Steelclaw

The proportions are off, but I really wanted Steelclaw to be visible on Kaon's hand in this sketch. Because in reality, Steelclaw is like a small parrot to adult Kaon.

- As a sparkling, Kaon was very small and slim, with a very fragile looking frame. But growing up he got stronger, resulting that (combined with other factors), as an adult, Kaon is taller than Megatron, very buff and basically a walking tank.

- His alt mode is a AH-64 Apache helicopter.

- Kaon was born (is that the correct term for transformers? Crafted? Created???) with his voice box damaged, making him completly mute. Therefore, Kaon uses radio signals, music and audio/voice clips to communicate.

Some common sounds Kaon uses and their meaning:

- Disco music/Bird chirping: Very happy, excited.

- Animal hisses/Slammed piano keys: Displeased, annoyed, scared, usually when he doesn't like something.

- Air raid sirens/Strings/Screeches/Recordings of actual cries: Terrified, crying, screaming.

- Static/Mix of corrupted noises: In pain, severely stressed.

- Growls/Engine starting noises: Angry, upset.

- Things Kaon loves:

• Cartoons (Megatron watches MLP with him)

• Scavanger birds (Steelclaw is his main bird, but he also takes care of multiple wild vultures and condors)

• Skulls

• Rubber ducks (he likes the noise)

• Music

• Training

• Soft things (plushies, blankets, fur, feathers)

- Things Kaon hates:

• Medical appointments

• Having to stay in the medbay during long periods of time

• Extremely high-pitched noises

● Very bright lights

• "The dark voice that keeps whispering weird things" (wait, the what now–)

• Zombie/vampire movies (Knockout tried)

- Kaon spends more time with Soundwave for safety reasons, but Megatron tries to be with him as much as possible.

- If Kaon doesn't have a normal face, how does he eats?

...Yeah.

Speaking of that, this brings me to another Kaon fact. Well, a few, unfunny, facts:

- Due to Megatron's past use of dark energon, Kaon was born with tons of health issues or body anomalies. A list of the main health problems and things that Kaon has as a result of having dark energon in his entire frame since creation are:

○ Constant headaches

○ Seizures

○ Chronic pain

○ Having a Terrorcon mouth

○ Unnatural amount of strenght

○ Damaged voice box since birth

○ Hearing voices

○ Nightmares and visions of things he hasn't even knowledge of

- Megatron hates himself because of this, since it was his use of dark energon that caused Kaon being born with medical problems. He suffers a lot everytime Kaon has to stay on the medbay due to another complication, when someone looks at Kaon with disgust or horror when he has to drink energon or just all the nights Kaon has woken up crying because he is scared or in pain for an unexplained reason.

- To end this post on a better note, here's a sparkling Kaon I doodled at 2 in the morning because of insomnia:

in the process of making two new fanspawns for thh anyone have any ideas for a talent even remotely related to either edgy detective or ultimate inheritance inheritor

Oh god, this is me with the two fanspawns that have the same blood in their veins as Nervous. One was once a figment of his imagination, and saw a flour sack as said imaginary child. Until there was a potion that made him a real boy. And then the other was a cloning gone wrong, ended up a genetic accident without his knowledge until after. But of course in the Sims 2 you can't make that happen, so I had to make him pregnant through cheats just so they can exist💀

One was even just playing around with genetics. I didn't think about it so I got him pregnant with Lilibet💀💀. I don't know why but I saved a few screenshots of her being born alien baby style

The faces match the picture too😭

I don't have one with Needles, because I was focusing on making him appear in my game. But since I kept both of them as fankids, I didn't want the reason for them existing because some creature took a shit twice😰

A creature like Nervous can't have biological kids the natural way, they gotta be created instead of being born. Like homunculi

Okay i’ve had them forever and have redone them a thousand times, but I here they are.....the entrapdak fan spawn

Normally i don’t do fanspawn, but for some reason i felt it for Entrapdak the need and i cannot explain why. Had them forever, constantly redesiging them trying to find the right mix of entrapta and hordak. For now here they are.

1. Hadyn (typically youngest and the only one to get moving hair EVER)

2. Estrella (sometimes the middle child sometimes not, white patch in a star shape consistent)

3. Hadar (always the oldest and typically looking the most like his dad)

4. Electra she blips in and out of existence as I struggle with the idea of entrapta and hordak having four kids!

ANYWAYS. This was supposed to be a QUICK style test, but it actually ended up taking almost EXACTLY ten hours to complete 💀💀 The RB style is deceptively simple from a first glance. It Is Not.

Has ‘Em ever interacted with the Autobots? Because I lowkey want to see Megs trash someone for attacking her. Also, unrelated, but who carried her?

I THINK SHE DEFINITELY DOES AT SOME POINT. But I’m having trouble deciding on when and how it would go down, and if it should be shitposty or not. 😭 (I’m open to suggestions!)

Of course, t h i s is very much a possibility that could happen.

Does Em ever witness her parents being lovey-dovey? (Assuming that Megs and Soundy show affection)

PS: Em seems like she would blink one eye at a time LOL

OHOHOHOHO THAT LAST PART HAD ME HOWLING BECAUSE YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.

I think they do show affection around her, but it’s in a more subtle and “classy” sort of way and absolutely not like the OTHER couple onboard the Nemesis’ methods at all. Knockout and Breakdown are definitely that obnoxious PDA couple who are no different than that one high school couple that blocks the lockers or hallway to make out in the middle of passing period. Absolutely insufferable. Yes, those two flirt with each other in the middle of surgery and it makes Starscream want to die as he can’t escape.

Meg and Soundwave though? Theirs usually involves Meg reciting poetry like the theater kid he is, with Soundwave listening intently, fingers intertwined. They DO however, have their insufferable moments every once in a while.

This is kinda a rush job and I still haven’t really figured out how to do things correctly, but I sculpted Em’s holoform :,)

She kinda looks like she has brachycephaly because I made her face too flat uhhhhh-

I also tried sculpting Quantum’s holoform the night prior but I forgot to save and Nomad purged it the moment I went to go share this wip screenshot to my friends 💀💀💀

It did the same to the Meg I was working on :,))

Requiem has some sort of a chronic illness. It’s incurable, and she’s always had it. Having a creator whose spark has been tainted by a substance as toxic to Cybertronian life such as dark energon will tend to do that. When Requiem’s spark was first kindled, it was subsequently tainted by the presence of dark energon during the merge. She has permanent dark energon exposure symptoms that will worsen over time before going back to being virtually undetectable after treatment. Rinse and repeat. Her symptoms include extreme fatigue, disorientation, dizziness, loss of temperature regulation systems, loss of balance, and loss of coordination during the peak of its effects. Since her spark is slightly tainted by dark energon, it slowly affects the rest of her energon supply as the normal energon attempts to neutralize it- which fully isn’t possible due to the nature of her spark. As a result, her energon could be used as an indicator for how close to having an “attack” she is as the higher the level of dark energon exposure, the more purple her blood is.

When an attack occurs, her systems have to be fully flushed by a transfusion of fresh energon while she’s hooked up to machinery to externally regulate her systems. When this happens, she’s quarantined to the medbay until treatment is complete and she shows no symptoms of dark energon exposure. She despises it. This also includes keeping away a certain someone because of how he practically gives off a dark energon signature like an irradiated object- albeit far more subtly to where his presence NORMALLY wouldn’t be too big of an issue.

It’s debilitating when she’s younger, but she adapts and gets more accustomed to dealing with it as she gets older to where it’s just another routine as annoying as it is. Of course some days are worse than others, but she makes do with it.
