after reading this post I had to think about who would be the fake prostitute among the FoF team in an AU with LL & AY joining the team for investigative shenanigans.

Ao Yin would be perfect for this, but unfortunately the demon they are looking for is her natural enemy, and would be able to sniff out her shapeshifts.

No one bothers to even look at WX bc they all know that ZYC would slice their fingers off if they so much as pointed at WX. WX is actually quite disappointed - she thinks she would be good at playing the part. (But she decides not to volunteer for it and notes it as something she'd like to try in a roleplay with PSJ.)

PSJ tries on the outfit but she has zero experience with the more elaborate women's dresses or with flirtation or with a way of standing that makes it look less like she'll whip out an arrow and kill you. Everyone immediately nixes the idea.

Bai Jiu is too young and Ying Lei too... Ying Lei. YL tries on the outfit at least but can't help standing with his hands on hips and feet apart, and when he tries to flirt the rest of the team falls over laughing. YL is a little offended.

ZYZ makes ZYC try on the outfit even though he knows ZYC would never be able to act the part. But he says ZYC needs to lead by example. ZYC makes a beautiful girl once WX gets done with him, and does a great impression of blushing shyly when ZYZ flirts with him. But his glare, killing aura, and white knuckled grip on his sword mean that they also decide against sending him in.

As for LL... they look at the dress and look at LL and no one thinks it'll work, but on the idea that he's part of the team now and has to suffer the same humiliation join in on team activities, ZYZ gets him to try. ZYZ has to magic up a dress because LL is way too beefy to fit into anything they have on hand.

LL is completely comfortable wearing the dress - he's possessed people of all genders and has no qualms about wearing a courtesan's outfit. He's also quite good at smiling sexily (if a bit menacingly). The only problem is that he's undeniably huge ~ everywhere ~ and can't make a convincing woman.

They finally turn to ZYZ, who poofs into a gorgeously attired woman with a hand gesture and quiet Word. He's 34,000 years old and adventurous - he's absolutely tried on different genders and appearances out of curiosity. This gremlin's known all along he's the best choice for this but was definitely going to make every other one of the team try on the outfit before he volunteered.

By the end of the investigation ZYZ is the hua kui at the brothel and the madam cries when he leaves.
