Well now I'm sick. Glad it happened now during my vacation so I can rest but also...I would prefer to spend my mini vacation writing and doing things I need to do 😫

Got part of a fic written before the fever hit so I am working on things I promise. Hopefully it burns through quick and I can at least get this fic finished before I go back to work next week.

Alright.

I've got six days off work now and I plan to get a lot of writing done over this mini vacation.

I've got one fic for sure, maybe two that I plan to get posted, and perhaps a bonus or two depending on how much I can get done.

I'm also starting to work on some things for next month as well. So, though things have been a but slower this month, I promise good things are coming.

I can't believe it took me a year to think about putting some pots out in front of the building.

This is my garden. It is tiny but I harvested blueberries off some of the bushes and this year the Aronia berry bush might give me enough to put in a mixed berry pie. I have 12 tomatoes on my big tomato plant and the cherry tomato has already given me a handful.

I am obsessed with these strawberry blond marigolds. When the flowers die back I will harvest seeds from them and the dianthus for next year. When the cherry tomatoes first ripened I saved & fermented the seeds, because it is an F1 hybrid, so the seeds won't breed true, but they will still give me tomatoes and that's what I'm looking for.

When talking to the WONDERRRRRFUL @skrzydlate , I got a WHOLE lot of inspiration AAAND thanks to the convo and Pinja’s very SMORT brain , WE GOT SOME YUMMY HEADCANONS ROUND THESE PARTS‼️‼️‼️

1.) The Lamb’s possible absolutely BOILING grief and anger that we both feel like can be a bit- OVERLOOKED sometimes

2.) The headcanon that rather than controlling the Lamb completely and or being the direct cause of some events in Cotl, the crown not only feeds off of but also ENHANCES emotions that could lead to sinful behaviors (such as resentment, bitterness, envy, lust, greed or wrathfulness. ) — So that when the Lamb finds themselves angry, all that just sorta RISES to the surface. Meaning the crown can never fully be blamed for the Lamb’s actions.

3.) The Fox’s spewings can work to influence one’s mind should the listener be in a state of confliction, confusion, despair, or disarray.

He’s VERY convincing.

I very much want to live in the Pieces verse. It seems like the holidays are more fun than ours and the religion (at least the common version) makes a lot of sense. It reminds me of my family's very specific practices, but more widespread and so more people to have fun with.

I have a question. You have holiday names and it looks like part of a numerical system, do you have a Conlang that goes along with this world?

Either way the world building is, as always, famtastic! I also loved the story about the little black cat so much 💜

its not numerical and theres not a conlang per se, but i do have a process for coming up with Proper Names thats sort of conlang-ish

the basic premise im operating from is that Westrand is an isolationist former territory of an Romance-language-speaking Empire, and their specific area was previously Germanic-language before being conquered. the english they speak is, similar as to our world, a several-hundred years amalgamation of those two branches

So newer proper names will be english or romance (most noble names are based on latin, the country is Westrand from Western-Strand, as it was formerly the westmost coast of the former empire) while older ones will be germanic

So the lower class names for the holidays are Germanic ("Brytel "dhruast" from "drehen herbst" or "turning autumn" and Brytel from " zwei geteilt" meaning "two split") and the more formal names for them are in english, hence Feast of the Parting/Feast of the Turning

so not a full conlang but you can bet im investingat least some of my 33% of a linguistic anthropology degree into this thing as always asjdhakjh

Plans changed for how I wanted to draw this prompt, I know I said Mr Executioner was gonna be slightly in the frame but I went for a different route on this!

I referenced the Perseus With The Medusa Head statue for the drawing! I thought it fit better for this prompt and I wanted to practice lighting again, I know I'm not exactly satisfied with this one but I'm still glad it turned out well!
