Completely out of nowhere but I can really imagine whizzer and Marvin having a dog, specifically a dachshund

I think there’s two ways the whole whizzvin sausage dog situation begins;

A) one of them really wants this little dog but the other one is adamantly against it, they get the dog and person goes from dog hater to treating it like their new child

Or

B) something that could fit in canon a bit better, either whizzer or Marvin during the 2 years gap somehow acquire the dog and when they start dating again, said dog vehemently hates who ever has started appearing in its life, said hate goes completely unnoticed by the original owner.

Yiddish Falsettos Headcanons

Act 1

Marvin and Trina argue in Yiddish when they don't want Whizzer and Jason to hear what they're saying

The word "פֿייגעלע (feygeleh)" is used a LOT

Whizzer isn't fluent or anything, but he actually understands most of it. He just doesn't let on because Marvin never asked

Mendel uses Yiddish words in like every other sentence, but can't hold or understand a conversation

Trina stops Marvin from arguing in Yiddish once Mendel starts being around all the time because "it's rude" and "it's not healthy" (really it's so that she and Mendel can team up on him)

Act 2

The "isn't he an asshole" bit in Year of the Child is absolutely in Yiddish. They love to shit talk Mendel in Yiddish

That's also what they're doing in everyone hates his parents

Marvin and Dr. Charlotte use hushed Yiddish to discuss Cordelia's... more experimental dishes

Dr. Charlotte calls Jason "באָבעלע (bubbeleh)" and he fake gags at it

Marvin and Whizzer (and sometimes Dr. Charlotte) strategically use Yiddish when they have to talk about something gay in public

Cordelia mispronounces Yiddish words in such funny ways that sometimes the whole family just starts saying them like that as a running bit

Whizzer teasingly calls Marvin "באַשערט (bashert)" and Marvin definitely does NOT tear up

Whenever anyone asks Jason where he learned Yiddish, he always says it was from Whizzer. Marvin and Trina spoke it better, but Whizzer was the one who cared enough to slow down and explain it to him.

Marvin: Rocky road

- bros too chickenshit to order just chocolate ice cream

- he thinks by there being nuts and marshmallows in it he’s more mature

- so for that reason he likely picks out the almonds

Whizzer: mint chip

- I think he likes all ice cream tbh

- but mint chip is just *mwah*

- Marvin probably tells him it tastes like toothpaste. He responds that he just doesn’t have a sophisticated palette

Trina: strawberry

- she doesn’t struck me as a sweets person tbh

- but she does quite like strawberry ice cream

- gets really excited if the ice cream has bits of real strawberries in it

Mendel: Neapolitan

- bro can’t decide so he gets all 3 major flavors

- secretly prefers the vanilla slightly more but he’s been ordering the same thing for so long he refuses to change it up

- Lets Trina have the strawberry part sometimes

Jason: root beer floats

- lil bro wants the extra sugar

- tried to have root beer flavored ice cream but it just wasn’t the same

- tbh I only hc this because it’s MY favorite. Idgaf that it’s technically not a flavor it’s still ice cream

Cordelia: rainbow sherbet

- it’s fun and bright and joyous!

- does admit every time that she knows it’s not technically ice cream

A new brain: Roger’s family are immigrants from Spain and he’s fluent in Spanish and English, and he calls Gordon gordito and he just thinks it’s some weird way of saying his name 😰

Uhh I think I said this before, but Gordon has visual and auditory hallucinations whenever he’s stressed, and it’s usually of Bungee who he see as a cartoon frog when he’s hallucinating him, and at these moments he’s usually to mentally overwhelmed to question why a cartoon frog is talking to him 🤑🤑

Merrily we roll along: Charley used to have a passive hobby in photography, and he, for a short period of time, stayed at Franks place just for a few weeks and he accidentally left a photo book there, and Frank still has it and looks at it OFTEN
