I am sorry, but what is Harlan doing making a podcast that is darker than malevolent. DARKER?? HOW IS IT DARKER? girl what are you doing, what fuels this. I don't want to know, I am a little curious... but that content warning list. Dear God wtf. I am not strong enough for this. Oh but it sounds good, and horrible and gross and what if, but like no.

I also think that it is funny tat he thanked his wife and posted what seems like a very heavy and disturbing. I don't know he is like I love my wife she is so wonderful and supports me! Look at this podcast I made, and it is really dark so look at the content warning about the show. (please don't take this as a criticism it isn't. I just think it is a bit funny because of the tone change)

HELLO!! THANK YOU SM FOR ASKING!! I will happily share some Shark headcanons I have <33 Hopefully they all make sense I always have a hard time trying to formulate thoughts so !!!!!

- Shark was born a bastard child from the king! he was a year younger then Coral and something the Queen held distain for. She “graciously” (wanted to keep her public appearance) allowed him to stay in the castle but never officiated his title of Prince

- Him & Coral grew up really close! The Queen was often to overlook and mistreat Shark and Coral was quick to his defense. The two remained close throughout childhood and into early adulthood

- When Coral became queen she held a ceremony to officiate his status as Prince and a royal guardsman <3

- Fallowing in his fathers footsteps, Shark held a fascination with weaponry! He wasn’t the most keen on actually using said weapons, instead their construction, history, ex. When the war started he decided to put that knowledge to a higher use, raising the ranks along his good friend Commander Tempest, being her second-in-command due to skill, he became a council member of Defence due to nepotism though, much to his distain

- Despite his focus in the more tedious aspects of weaponry he did go to a training course for soldiers during his youth, there he met Tempest and the two became friends. He was a regular guardsman under Queen-Mother’s rule. The position of Guardsman is how he met Abalone and lived briefly as a semi-normal citizen & struck up romance with Abalone. They are gay married because I say so!!!!

- Due to his training & friendship with Tempest and her brother Gill, Shark is quite the Pacifist! Despite this he starkly believes that pacifism in war achieves nothing while warhawks hold power, resulting in his focus on primarily defense and ties in diplomatic measures. Hes a bit of a hypocrite though as he upholds his sisters rule

- He is deeply and incredibly concerned for his sister lmao. The two grew up very close and he feels he owes her a lot for protecting him during their youth & mentoring his daughter when he was unable to, but since becoming Queen and loosing Orca she’s definitely changed. Shark wants to support his sister but finds it hard as she becomes more like her mother..

- Shark questions Blister’s motives and worries on her influence to Coral. This is paired with the Dragonets of Destiny, fearing they will choose Blister as queen, he holds great distain for them and the power they wield.

- Whenever Blister comes to visit Shark used to try and sit-in on meetings and was known to casually disagree with the princess, he has since been banned from meetings despite being a councilmember due to his outbursts at the Sandwing </3

What are the missionaries for my au? For the most basic way to describe them is that they are the reason the Lamb is able to move between the cults , the missionaries also go around gathering others to join the cult. The missionaries do not have any special abilities but have been given the ability to stay alive as long as they stay in service of he Lamb, so certain members like Gerkiy has been working for its entire life and past that, the latest recruit is Nonor.

one of my special interests is autism (kinda meta, i know) and especially autistic/disabled history which includes a lot of terrible things which i struggle to communicate the gravity of!

i don't engage in this special interest as a happy comforting thing, like i do with wander over yonder, but rather as a necessary dive into history that i need to learn and remember because i don't know who else will if not younger autistic people like me. it's intellectually stimulating, sure, and i do actively seek it out, but it's... it's because i need to know, and because it's a part of me, and it makes me feel all sorts of emotions beautiful and terrible at the same time. i need to connect with these people whose connections were severed, even if i can only do so in retrospect. i need to know what happened so i can speak up for today's children--and for us adults who get excluded from the idea of "autistic!"

i think it's like how you have a different type of relationship with every friend. they're all friendships, but each one serves a slightly different function in your life. special interests/hyperfixations are all the same larger category of thing, but the function they serve in your life varies depending on the context--what they are, what you associate them with, how you engage with them--and it's good to remember that =]

kills me a little bit that hyperfixation has become a primarily fandom term bc even though it is true that most of my hyperfixations historically have been entertainment medias. i worry that the new cultural context around the word would make me sound a little deranged if i regularly referred to my interest in cold war american history as a hyperfixation even though Thats What It Is. i feel like it could sound like im writing cold war rpf when in fact i take it very seriously and a lot of my interest is fueled by how much it continues to impact american foreign and domestic policy to this day, often in ways that go unacknowledged. but like medically speaking i do not control the speed or frequency at which i go on tangents about this in everyday conversations with my family
