Proof of concept for the extremely normal and non-monstery baked goods we want to hand out in our Dungeon Meshi cosplays :)

Here they are before baking, and the salt dough molds I made for them!

Made my very own tiny dungeon meshi dragon plush, that’s based on the version that only appears in the very last chapter for five pages and then is never seen again. I think it turned out pretty well.

I used this pattern to make it with some minor tweaks to the body, tails and legs and then just made some tiny cones for the horns at the end. If anyone would be intersted I might post the alterations and where to apply them but go check out the original pattern! I stuffed it both with acylic stuffing but also some plastic pellets for a bit of extra weight. The eyes are done with french knots.

Going to be adding manga spoilers below the read more with pictures of what I tried to get it to look like.

This is not the wig I’m gonna use, I just threw on an old wig to see if this would be the color I wanted to get, but I’m 100% not lying when I said I’m gonna cosplay chimera Falin, mark my words I will find some way to engineer that

so sorry if you have gotten this question before, please ignore if so. but i am planning to do a couples' cosplay of falin and marcille with my gf and i am utterly BEWITCHED(!!) by your falin. did you make most of the materials yourself, or did you buy it? i am especially curious on how to find her jacket/robe thing. thank you !!

OMG no worries AT ALL! I have not gotten this question before, and I am happy to help any way that I can! :D (also tysm you're so kind ahhh)

I 3D modeled the staff topper myself and then used my 3D printer to print it! I actually put it up on Etsy a little while ago, but that's juuust the digital model. For the pole I used a baluster (hollow rod) that I found at my local Home Depot.

The cosplay itself was the only listing I could find on Aliexpress at the time! (There might be others on there by now.)

Rose City Comic Con was a lot of fun! On Saturday, @tundra-tiger and I got to wear our Dungeon Meshi cosplays, and we met a lot of kind-hearted, delightful people. It was my first time making and wearing liquid latex prosthetics, but thanks to a friend's support, everything turned out alright. I also drew some coin bugs onto chocolate coins to hand out; miraculously, they didn't melt despite the 80+ degree heat.

@tundra-tiger is Senshi; if anyone recognizes the Marcille and Falin cosplayers, please let me know so I can tag them!

How do they get back to living ordinary lives? Those books follow such kids. And it's queer.

I studied German for 14 years.

In casual talk, I make all kinds of silly sounds and weird gestures. I’m a walking sound-and-visual effects machine.

I had surgery on my right knee two years ago and now I get to make up silly stories of how I got those scars when people ask about them.

I have a pretty good musical memory? I can tell a note just from hearing it and sing melodies/play them on the guitar and piano after hearing them just once, recognize and tell different instruments playing from hearing records of songs and orchestra concerts...

Um... I can run pretty fast with high heels on? XD
