Drake vs Kendrick
As we all know these two artists have been duking it out the past 2-3 weeks. Some are still wondering, how did all of this start? It started when Kendrick called out several rappers in his song “Control”.this sparked a response from Drake, in some of his songs. Them basically going back and forth with little messages hidden within their lyrics, Until a couple of weeks ago where Kendrick made it very clear that he had problems with a variety of artists, but especially drake. Kendrick finds Drake to be absolutely repulsive. He leaked in one of his new disses that Drake was not only a pedophile, but also a sex trafficker. Drake's rebuttal was that Kendrick had no evidence of this and he’s just making stuff up. Fans are torn between the two. They don’t know who to side with, or whose on the right. One thing is for sure though. Right now, Kendrick is winning. Kendrick Lamar, is someone who has acted as an inspiration for a lot of people, as he has become considered a modern icon in Black history. Drake also mentioned Metro Boomin by his legal name in “Family Matters,” calling him “lame” and also alleging that he influenced disagreements between Drake and Future. In return Young metro made a song called BBL Drizzy, obviously commenting on Drake constantly getting plastic surgery. Drake then commented on an Instagram post sharing one of Metro Boomin’s tweets about him writing, “you just cheffed a beat about my a-s? But in the eyes of the fans, metro clearly won.
Evolution of Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar Duckworth was raised in Compton, California. When he was growing up in Compton, the city was known for its high rate of crime and gang activity. Born 1987, Lamar saw Compton when it was possibly its most dangerous. Kendrick Lamar was able to stay out of trouble by falling in love with hip hop at a young age. He started writing his own lyrics as a teenager. That early start obviously paid off, since Lamar is one of the top writers in music. The first albums released by Lamar were under the moniker K. Dot. His early mixtapes were impressive, and he would be signed to Top Dawg Entertainment. Kendrick would grow in popularity by appearing on tracks with top names in the industry. His rhymes and delivery instantly connected with fans, critics, and rap royalty. West Coast legends like Game, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre all embraced Kendrick as a rising star. Lamar had the approval and endorsement of seemingly everyone in the industry and associated with it. He was the rare artist that seemed to be universally embraced.
A lot of the music that he has made relates to me on a level that I don’t have with any other artist. It talks about his experiences as a Black man, faith, upbringing and struggles with identity. These are all things that I relate to, but seeing and listening to someone who has similar experiences to me being able to make it by doing something that he loves is truly inspiring. It shows me I can do anything and that I am not alone. One thing that I truly admire about Lamar is his dedication and unwavering commitment to his craft. In an era where commercialism reigns supreme, he has never strayed away from making vulnerable and thought provoking art that still feels true to himself. An example of this is his third studio album entitled “To Pimp A Butterfly.” In my opinion, this is the album that made Lamar an icon. It tackles complex topics like race and inequality, yet still highlights African American culture and provides hope and resilience.
The Evolution of drake
There are times when I see a good album or series of songs, and hang on every word. Nothing meets that requirement so smoothly or sweetly like the rapper Drake. Yet, it’s hard to close your eyes when Drake is around. Between the creative outlook, capturing videos and creative style, his easy switch from rapping to singing, he is hard not to watch. It is no wonder this individual was able to get so far on a couple of mixtapes, and attract the attention of mega-rapper Lil Wayne before he was ever signed to a record company. Like his music, Drake’s fashion sense is smooth, personal, and reflects his high standards for only the best. Let’s take a look at Drake’s wardrobe, and I think we will find there is very little room for improvement. Aubrey “Drake '' Graham started off his career as an actor, starring as one of the primary characters in the Canadian teen hit Degrassi: The Next Generation. He played Jimmy Brooks, a character that is shot and ends up in a wheelchair. Clean cut and conservative, his style was very typical of any other Canadian teenager on television at the time, boring. It wasn’t until Drake began to pursue his career as a rapper that he began to express his true sense of style. Starting in 2006, Drake issued a self-released mixtape called Room for Improvement. The cover of the mixtape showed an introspective, Drake dressed less boring and more interesting . The image hardly signified the typical rapper, and already set Drake apart from the rest with a unique yet impactful presence. It was easy to forget he was only twenty years old. Drake is an icon for this generation and has made a heavy impact on not only the music industry, but the clothing industry as well. What's being said about Kendrick Lamar
Drake is accusing Kendrick Lamar of Hitting his wife and losing custody. Drake also said that Kendrick had previously been sexually assaulted by his cousin, and his mother was too intoxicated to care or believe him. 2022’s “Mother I Sober” is one of the more cutting edge songs on Kendrick Lamar's album that go into , as it narrates the depths of generational trauma. In the song, Kendrick specifically details how his mother didn’t believe him when he denied that his cousin molested him before revealing that she was a victim of abuse herself. Drake later said “either I didn’t really listen to the song or suggests that Kendrick Lamar lied and experienced sexual assault.” This comes with at least a few caveats, as does everything else involved in this beef. Both of these artists are making unverified claims against the other, and misunderstanding a song does not equate to failing to address domestic violence allegations. The difference is that when Drake claims there are no famous pedophiles and that all of these accusations against him are false, he really shot himself in the foot again by minimizing victims’ experiences as petty retribution when he should be combating that narrative on all fronts. He’s having a worst-person-off with Kendrick Lamar, especially when he specifically addresses some things and then leaves other significant points, like accusations against the OVO camp and colonizer claims, unspoken. To make something clear, mocking victims is an especially nasty and diminishing tactic in rap beef, as are allegations of predatory behavior without concrete evidence. Both artists should keep this sort of business to themselves, but let's be honest, it’s very entertaining.
What is being said about drake
Drake has denied allegations of having relationships with underage women, and of harboring a secret love child, which were raised in a diss track by his rival Kendrick Lamar. It comes amid an increasingly bitter war of words between the two stars, who have released a flurry of songs attacking each other over the weekend. In Drake's latest offering, The Heart Part 6, he says he "feels disgusted" by Lamar's claims, and suggests he deliberately fed the star incorrect information in the hope he'd use it. Lamar's accusations came in his third attack song of the weekend, called Not Like Us. "Say, Drake, I hear you like 'em young," he raps. "Tryna strike a chord and it's probably A minor." He had previously alluded to the allegation on a separate track, Meet The Grahams, in a verse addressed to Drake's mother, Sandra. "We gotta raise our daughters knowing there's predators like him lurking… I'm looking to shoot through any pervert that lives, to keep the family safe.” Lamar also claimed that Drake had a daughter who he had been keeping secret from the public.he angrily denied the allegations of underage sex, saying: "Drake is not a name that you gonna' see on no sex offender list, easy does it / You mentioning A minor … B sharp and tell the fans: Who was it?” He continued: "I never been with no-one underage … Just for clarity, I feel disgusted, I'm too respected." If the allegations were true, he added, "I promise I'd have been arrested". The rappers' months-long feud started last year with the Drake song First Person Shooter, where Fellow rapper J Cole boasted that he, Drake and Lamar were the "big three" of hip-hop. Lamar responded with a verse on the song Like That, boasting of his superiority and declaring there was no big three, "it's just big me". After the song reached number one in America, Drake responded with two diss tracks, Push Ups and Taylor Made Freestyle, the latter of which featured AI versions of Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg taunting Lamar.
This is for a school project 😔👉👈

with the faith in the future vinyl ✨potentially✨ being available on amazon for preorder/presale right now, i’ve seen a few posts about it & wanted to take a quick second to make my own post to talk about some things to maybe keep in mind. i have a friend who works in pr in the music industry, so i’m considering asking her what she thinks it could be, but either way: i definitely don’t know anything that’s going on (especially behind the scenes lol) by any means. here are just some things that i think it might be good to consider, generally speaking:
1) i wouldn’t trust anything amazon says, personally speaking, especially without proof. i’d only trust statements directly coming from louis or his team. amazon is an incredibly unethical company and i feel bad for any potential backlash the customer service employees will receive for just doing what they’re told to do, if it ends up being not an approved leak.
2) just because louis has has leaked his own music before / is okay with leaking his own music, doesn’t mean he’s okay with other people leaking it. he could have absolutely no problem with it being leaked! but he also might. and i don’t think we should completely dismiss the idea that he wouldn’t necessarily care, just because he’s leaked his own music before.
3) this is a bit besides the point, but: if it’s an actual leak of the album tracks, there’s a track called chicago. as a chicagoan, i can’t wait to blast that shit.
& 4) i’ve seen posts saying that leaked albums can be good for promo and help give an indicator of how many people will actually order a presale / the album. i completely agree with both things! i don’t think either of those things should be used to justify an unapproved leak, but i do think that if there are any benefits to one, those would definitely be it.
ok that’s it. this wasn’t meant to be a malicious or “call out” post at all, so i hope no one takes it that way. everyone is entitled to their opinions and how they feel about leaks and whether or not they think it’s legit and all that. anyway, happy thursday! i hope everyone has or is having a wonderful day ☺️

First Impressions of FitF
The tempo of the album is much slower than I expected.
His accent ruins nearly all the songs.
Angels Cry and Chicago are yet more Oasis karaoke.
Headline is quite catchy.
She is Beauty - massive New Order rip off.
Saturdays has a plodding rhythm.
Lucky Again has interesting guitar parts.
He doesn't moan or whine in Written All Over Your Face so why are Louies saying he does?
#just first impressions on some leaked songs#album not out here yet for another 5 hours#btm is far and away the best song#faith in the future#fitf leak#faith in the future leak#saturdays#angels fly#written all over your face#lucky again

Hi allie 🥺🥺 I hope this is not too much trouble but its hard for me to keep up with everything. do you know which songs from louis' new album we have information about already or the lyrics?? thanks
Hi, anon! We actually have good information about most songs so far, which is very exciting:
1.The Greatest: This song was leaked, here are the lyrics. And that's what he said about the song for Euphoria Magazine:
“That was specifically written as a tour opener, not necessarily an album opener at the time. Musically, it’s interesting. There’s probably not another song like that on the record. It starts the album with a statement of intent, which I think is important. There’s a certain ambitious level to that.” (September 1st 2022)
Also a quote from his interview for BBC:
Faith In The Future is dedicated to his avid fanbase. The propulsive opening track, The Greatest, is a celebration of their relationship. (September 17th 2022)
2. Written All Over Your Face: We have the lyrics here and here's a quote also from Euphoria Magazine:
[The album immediately switches it up and dives straight into “Written All Over Your Face,” an infectious indie floor-filler that we both agree is reminiscent of the first two Arctic Monkeys albums.] “I’m a big fan of that sound, big fan of that energy. I went into the room with these people I’ve done a few sessions with, and I said, let’s try and take this as punk as I can get away with. I suppose that’s where the Arctic Monkeys reference comes from; there are obviously punk elements within what they do.” (September 1st 2022)
3. Bigger Than Me: It's the first single from the album so it's by far the one we have the most information about, I couldn't put together everything he said about the song but here are a few things LTHQ shared:
It was written during summer 2021
It was written in London at Wendyhouse Studios with Robert Harvey, George Tizzard, and Rick Parkhouse
It was produced by Mike Crossey in Los Angeles
And here's a few quotes:
“We did it in London. We wrote that in London. There was a lot of pressure, at least I put a lot of pressure on myself in terms of what i wanted out of this first single. And I knew that I kind of, especially with how well the tour shows have been going on, I wanna keep this momentum going. I knew I had to come out of the blocks with something that feels pretty big inside.” Smallzy (September 5th 2022)
“I was nervous I’m not gonna lie, I’ve done quite a lot of shows this year which have stayed in the same set, so to add something new, and then to add that song - probably the hardest song I’ve had to sing vocally, it’s got that big chorus - I was nervous. But what surprises me everytime, the song has been out no time, and there’s so many people out there that know it already, in the crowd I mean, so naturally that fills you full of confidence.” BBC The One Show (September 7th 2022)
4. Lucky Again: This one also got leaked in August. Here are the lyrics.
5. Face The Music: It was written in collaboration with Dave Gibson. We also have a quote from BBC:
Coming of age is a theme that surfaces throughout his new album, Faith In The Future. On Face The Music, he philosophises that "good and bad and right and wrong are stories made up when we are young to scare us". (September 17th 2022)
6. Chicago: Jojo Wright said this about the song, here's the transcript:
“We went into the room, had a little chat […] and then he decided to leave the room while we listened to the music. He walks back in and I’m like “Who’s Chicago about? Who’s that?” He didn’t give me a crazy answer, but it’s about a person. […] He just appreciated the fact I had - that all of us were just curious! What is this about […] It’s just a deep track, it got me thinking who is this about, what happened…”
7. Common People: We have this quote from BBC:
Common People (not a cover of the Pulp classic) is about reconnecting with his roots in Doncaster. "When I get lost, I go back to where I started," he sings. "That song's just trying to capture how amazing the people are there. If you're one of us, we'll hold out our arms and we'll embrace you." (September 17th 2022)
8. Out Of My System: We have part of the lyrics here, this one was also written in collaboration with Dave Gibson. And here's a little quote about the song from Alt Press:
That incorporation of dance melodies is something that erupts on “Out of My System,” a pulsating, punk-tinged Arctic Monkeys-inspired track that recalls the heyday of early aughts indie rock. The day Tomlinson made the track, he had been listening to “Teddy Picker” or “Dancing Shoes” (he can’t quite remember), but he knew exactly what kind of music he wanted to make. “I went in and said, ‘Let's try to write a song that is as punk as I can get away with,’” he recalls. And he led with that kind of intensity and energy from early Arctic Monkeys albums to craft the song. (September 6th 2022)
9. Angels Fly: Nothing
10. Saturdays: All we have is the people he worked in the song with, it was registered in June 2022:
11. Silver Tongues:
Plus the quote from Euphoria Magazine:
With that, one particular track that Tomlinson is most pleased with is “Silver Tongues,” a joyful and wholesome moment that honors the little intricacies of his relationship. Once completed, he boldly stated it was the first time Tomlinson had written a song that he could imagine being sung by an artist that he is really fond of. “That song was a great part of the writing process,” he says. “On this record, I tried to write with less professional songwriters and more artists, and ‘Silver Tongues’ is a good example of that. What you get with that is a different level of care and love for what you’re doing, instead of making it about money and trying to get the single.” Another reason Tomlinson credits “Silver Tongues” for being so special is its authenticity. “It’s not trying to be anything that it’s not. We were not trying to write a single, and there’s just a certain level of energy to it,” Tomlinson adds. (September 1st 2022)
12. She is Beauty We Are World Class:
Plus the quote from Euphoria Magazine:
Faith In The Future is bursting with exciting moments. However, what might surprise fans the most is the fact that Tomlinson is delving back into the dance genre sooner than expected on “All This Time” and “She Is Beauty We Are World Class.” (September 1st 2022)
13. All This Time: Same as the above
14. That’s The Way Love Goes: We have two quotes:
After taking on a journey through various sonics, Tomlinson closes Faith In The Future with the melodic and most tender song, “That’s The Way Love Goes.” After playing around with the tracklisting, Tomlinson claims that he “couldn’t get away from that idea,” adding that “you’ve got two options to end the album: you either end with a slap round the face or a little ballad moment.” Detailing a non-sexual love between two best friends, Tomlinson is confident that this is a song fans are going to adore. “I think it’s an interesting story, an interesting visual going through the song. With the way the album is structured, it kind of fits nicely to finish on that message. I wouldn’t have been able to do that on the first album because there weren’t enough peak moments of energy,” he says. Euphoria Magazine (September 1st 2022)
Tomlinson’s focus on intensity doesn’t extend to every song on Faith In The Future — at least not overtly. While he would have left the listener (hopefully) wanting more with “a wall of sound” on a record’s final track, he approached Faith In The Future’s closer “That’s The Way Love Goes” differently. The song, which was his take on the vulnerable simplicity of the Streets’ “Dry Your Eyes,” was the only track he could end the record on — one about a friend encouraging another friend to get over the fact that he’s not in a relationship anymore. “It's not the fact that you're not sympathizing. You're looking after him from afar, but you're not necessarily a shoulder to cry on,” Tomlinson explains. Alt Press (September 6th 2022)
The 4 extra songs: Headline: We have the lyrics here Holding Onto Heartache: Nothing :( Saved By a Stranger (demo): You can listen to the demo here and here are the lyrics. Paradise: Also nothing so far.

28th August, 2022
08/28/2022 or 28/08/2022
Going down in louie history as the the 28th with the most chaotic 28 energy ever, let’s recap;
- Away from Home Festival (since Louis’ set lasted long enough for it to officially be the 28th in Spain)
- New cover (Night Changes) from Louis at AFHF22
- New reel on Louis’ instagram at 00:00 UK time (28th August) … the thumbnail shows Louis standing in front of the Faith in the Future banner from ltwt22 Paris shows
- After party photos of Louis at AFHF22
- Charlie posts photos of Louis and the crowd from AFHF22 on his instagram
- Photos and videos of Louis from the other bands in the line up at AFHF22
- LTHQ finally creates a tiktok account (which then proceeds to get taken down, but then a few hours later it’s back up again)
- Photos of Louis with fans prior to AFHF22 day
- Louis tweets about AFHF22 (three different tweets, one thanking the fans, one thanking the rest of the bands in the line up and the last one expressing his wonder for everything and how he’s already looking forward to next year’s AFHF).
- Louis posts photos from AFHF22 on his Instagram
- Photos and videos of Louis with fans outside of his hotel, from the day after AFHF surface
- Louis comments on Joshua’s photos of AFHF22
- We get a new photo of Louis from tour on his YouTube community page, the anagram on the photo doesn’t unscramble to any of the leaked titles… fandom abuzz with speculation regarding a deluxe edition album with additional tracks
- Another photo is posted on Louis’ YouTube Community page; this time the anagram unscrambles to “The Greatest”
- LTHQ continues to upload more tiktoks to their account
- Copy of a Copy of a Copy gets registered at APRA with Louis listed as the sole writer
- LOUIS POSTS A NEW REEL ON HIS INSTAGRAM WITH A SNIPPET FROM A NEW TRACK!!! Along with some cryptic visuals - fandom on fire
- Yet another photo is posted to Louis’ YouTube Community page. The anagram on this one unscrambles to “Silver Tongues”
- Shirtless photos of Louis surface on the internet - fandom dead
- LTHQ tiktok account posts another tiktok with some clues in it
- Looks like Louis is finally leaving for the airport
I think it’s safe to end this now since it’s officially the 29th in the UK and in Spain. So the demonic energies will have subsided for now.

i really really really REALLY don't care if the leak was accidental or intentional bc the blame does not lay with fans in either scenario. what i do care about is the constant dismissal of things that ARE intentional that we pick up on. what does 369 mean? "oh nothing. totally random." whats faith in the future mean? "nothing. you're reading too much into it." it's a matter of this being a pattern where fans pick up on things that 100% mean something and louis dismisses it by saying they don't. why did lthq go to hld this time, even tho louis supposedly doesn't care for them, after fans didn't piece things together at once? you can't constantly tell ppl they're reaching and then still expect them to do all the detective work—even though everything means nothing. i'm sick of seeing fans, larries in particular, being made to feel guilty for EVERYTHING. like enough is enough lmao. the gutted tweet was so unnecessary, regardless of whether the leak was planned or not. if it WAS planned then the whole thing is incredibly manipulative. if it WASNT planned then he shouldnt have deleted the tweet and/or actually should've made it clear it was about the album and articulated his feelings like a grown adult.
#if i were hld i'd have blocked louis himself and turned the page into a harry account but whatever#dont send my anything else abt any of this i dont care <3#anonymous#answered

So I have never really kept up with all the drama regarding Harry and Olivia and decided against my sanity to do so today. I’m reading this article and it sounds like a fucking off brand plot of Grey’s Anatomy. Apparently they started “hooking up” when she was still with her Fiancé of 9 YEARS?! (what in the home-wrecker fuckshit is this) and then she started dating harry after being “single” for two months. AnD TheN I read another article(I hate myself) that they live together with her two kids? Honestly even if I wasn’t a larrie this whole situation sounds like bad PR; and I hope for not only Harry’s sake but for Olivia’s kids sake too that this whole thing will be over atleast by the end of the promo for DWD. I just feel ick because Harry’s been sexualized since he was 16 and put into these relationships that make no sense especially this one.
Also very pissed that louis album got leaked✌️

LOL if it isn't the consequences of your own actions
is this just a general thing or did something happen 👀
Apparently people on tumblr and twitter have received DMCA notices claiming copyright infringement. They think it's because of the use of the sentence Faith in the Future but as I've explained here, that's not possible. It's most likely that the notices are targeting the posts that shared the album cover. The cover is protected under copyright as it is an artistic work (photograph). Normally, the photographer will have signed their rights to the label.
What's interesting in this situation is using the DMCA mecanism as a way to erase the album cover prior to its official release.
The way the DMCA works is that platforms like Twitter, Youtube, Facebook etc are not liable if one of their users infringes copyright - they are simple the medium. They are however required to have a copyright reporting mecanism. If you believe a copyright is infringed (it doesn't have to be yours), you can fill out a form. The platform will then notice the "infringing party" and ask them to remove the infringing work. Sometimes they block the account until the work is deleted. The user has the right to contest the claim - for example if they own the copyright or if the work is free of copyright (in the public domain).
Obviously, Louis and Syco haven't been going around sending DMCA notices every time someone posted the cover from Walls. Or when UAs post the photos of Louis' merch, etc. You have to consider that when you're sharing stuff online chances are very high that at one point you are infringing copyright. However, it's the way the internet works and everyone just rolls with it. Unless the unauthorized act will affect your brand/your revenues/your reputation, it's unlikely that you'd be going around filling copyright infringement claims left and right (it would be a full time job!). So for this to happen, there needs to be intent.
Now I don't know who's filling the reports so I don't know what's their intention. In any case, it's working because it's getting the picture removed and erasing, as much as it can, the leak.
In another interesting turn of event, it looks like Tumblr uses the Fair Use defense against DMCA claims. Let's recap quickly what that means. For certain purposes (sometimes explicitly written in the Copyright Act of a country, sometimes not), the use and reproduction of a work without the consent of the copyright owner is permitted. The most common examples are for criticism, review and news reporting. Let's say you're making a documentary on an actor, and you want to include footage from one of his movies, you can claim fair use/ fair dealing. It's a viable legal defense should the copyright owner sue you for infringement. Usually there is a legal test and several factors come into play (was your reproduction for commercial purposes, did it impact the market of the original work, etc). Fair dealing in the US is way more permissible than in other countries.
I assume Tumblr, being a platform that sides with its users more than others, and given the type of content that's around here, says the reproduction is legal because it's fair use. However that's not their conclusion to make... Every infringement claim is specific to the reproduction that was made, so here we're walking in the dark. But again I'm sure the DMCA notices were for the album cover - in which case there is no fair use defense. And as Tumblr says, "the complainant may chose to pursue this". We'll have to wait and see...

QUOTES FROM ‘ HYGIENE ’
lines pulled from drug church’s 2022 album, ‘ hygiene ’ feel free to change things as you deem necessary.
“ hope is all you got. ” “ let’s add up your wrongs. ” “ i wish i could help, but i don’t know myself. ” “ i don't put faith in any crooked strangers plans or hands. ” “ behave like you’re owed something. ” “ i learned young that there’s no I in ‘ people. ’ ” “ anything that’s bigger than a band is suspect and can’t be relied on. ” “ no matter how hard you find yourself trying, there’s a hole that’s always leaking in the shape of your fellow man. ” “ the missing piece is anything but misplaced grievance. ” “ those things I do about the way the world works —— i wonder will it amount to anything at all ? ” “ your turn is coming just give it time. ” “ we don’t toss away what we love. ” “ i’m not a part of that cover up. ” “ what happens next is none of their business. ” “ there’s only one side of the street you’re responsible for, and that’s yours. ” “ no one elected you to judge. ” “ that self - hate is persistent. ” “ this one starts and stays ugly. ” “ there are things that you see coming. ” “ there’s no point in changing lanes. ” “ just sit and keep your nose clean. ” “ big nothings what you have in store. ” “ our connection to a thing is as good as any wedding ring. ” “ we’re married by experience to what we love. we'll never lose it. ” “ what can these people do for you ? ” “ i’ll put my energies to other use. ” “ i don’t like feeling powerless. ” “ i’m not one for anthems, slogans, or tricks. ” “ the future’s not looking bright. ” “ that villain you fought, he just reflects who you are. ” “ i’m living between shrinking margins. ”

what if louis puts out like a few different versions of the album (like one for faith in the future, one for 369, etc.) and they all add up to 28 songs? 👀
yes i am putting on my clown makeup as i type this
fully clowning but considering the leaked one had 14 songs, i'd die if he did a 369 second one with another 14. pull a zayn and give us an icarus falls, louis!!!

The discourse around Louis leaking Home has always been strange to me. It wasn’t leaked, it was officially released to Spotify as planned, wasn’t it? What Louis did do was draw attention to Home with his tweets. He made sure the fans would pay attention to that song. But that’s not the same as leaking it. Larries really haven’t helped this discourse and keep using it as justification for wanting more of Louis’ songs to leak. That’s one of the reasons it was sad to hear that Louis, out of frustration and unhappiness with his label at the time 🤬, was actually considering leaking Walls so people could hear it. Maybe that’s why the fans had already heard half the songs when it was released, just to make sure it would be released. What do you think?
The reason that people say Louis leaked it is because fans found the song on Spotify and Louis started posting tweets about it well before the official announcement was made. I don’t know if I still necessarily believe that he directly leaked it himself, but it does seem like he was spreading word about the song before their planned release, which is interesting.
Regardless of what happened with Home, which we’ll never know, I don’t agree with anyone in the fandom who thinks he’s chosen to leak his demos or songs from Faith In The Future. Louis will release demos if he wants to - he did with Saved By A Stranger, for example. If he hasn’t released it officially, it was not intended to be released. Louis openly admitted that he considered leaking his music ONLY when he was having issues with his label not listening to his wishes about his own music. There’s no reason to believe that he feels that way currently and would choose to leak songs from his upcoming album.
Despite what some in the fandom claim, Louis mentioning that he’s aware of the leaks does NOT mean he approves of them or consented to them. He’s not living under a rock and we know he keeps up with the fandom, so of course he knows what happened and would mention it when leaks come up.
And also, because I’ve seen people trying to claim that the anagrams prove Louis had Amazon leak the tracklist intentionally - first of all, we don’t know that the anagrams were planned ahead of the Amazon issue, and they may have done things differently if that hadn’t happened. But also, that shows a fundamental misunderstanding of anagrams. Most of the time with anagrams, you aren’t given a cheat sheet. There are only so many word combinations that can be formed from a set of letters and the fandom WOULD have figured them out even without knowing the tracklist. It would have been harder, but it was absolutely doable because normal anagrams are doable.

Do you think the leak was on purpose? I'm not sure why everyone is convinced it was just because it's happened in the past. Like mistakes can actually happen. I understand the promo behind getting an album getting leaked but what purpose would it serve to leak the titles, album name, artwork and date. When Harry leaked the album, we talked about it non stop for 2 months before the release. Harry never mentioned it, other than that tweet from Sony to draw attention to it. So lines were drawn and people who were against the leaks didn't listen, the rest of us did. But Louis didn't ignore the leak so that we could continue talking about the info we got. He tweeted he was gutted and immediately everyone stopped posting about it cause they were so upset that Louis was upset. So what would have been the point of it. To get it trending for a day? On top of Amazon's music sale for a day? It's gone now, no trace of it for a random person to stumble upon it on the chart. This just doesn't seem like something Louis would do intentionally. He spent 2 years tweeting about having faith in the future. He flashed it for a second at his festival last year. All that mysterious teasing lead up all that just for the title to be casually dropped? He's so meticulous with merch details like using the checkered print in his posters and then wearing the shirt in his cover art. Everything he did had a purpose. Oh and please is not cause a twarrie decided that 🏁 means bg is ending. The checkered is 28 programme too. This is all designed months and maybe years in advance. I bet he's gonna sing a new song at his festival and normally everyone would be freaking out about LT2 coming and asking when etc. but now everyone knows it'll be here in 3 months. Like ok? And if the leak was intentional, now he's gotta pretend it never happened? That makes no sense. I honestly think either someone on his team or amazon screwed up and he was genuinely gutted by it. He probably had so much planned for the rollout. Announcing the date and album title etc. Remember when the harrys house video announcement dropped? How excited we were? A leak just makes it hard to tease things. And I understand that it takes multiple people to get an album on Amazon set up but it doesn't mean that one person can't screw it up by accidentally releasing it.
Okay. I think a lot of people have really strong opinions on that topic and I’m slightly bored of the entire thing, to be honest. I understand where you’re coming from, and I don’t entirely disagree with you. But I think that’s the kind of situation we will only get the full picture and answers with a little bit of time, I feel like a lot of the assumptions you (and, I mean, all of us) are making are just based on several other “what ifs”.
I don’t think that is impossible that it was a mistake. But I do think that’s very unlikely. In a very practical way, we’re talking about like four or five different scenarios here of what could have happened. And we have no context. So that’s really all I have to say about it, let’s wait and see what’s up next. If it was in fact a “fake leak”, I’m sure it will become very clear in their next marketing move, like it was with Harry’s “leak”. And uh… that may be an unpopular opinion and I feel bad to even feel that way, but I kind of hope it was just a mistake… because I’m tired of everything being staged and fake somehow. Everything is always so fishy when it comes to Louis’ career, and that sucks.

if it was like a month or so before the release date we could consider it being intentional. but i don't think anyone would go as far as leaking the whole track list to promote the album three months before the release date. im sure he had great cryptic mind fuckery planned for promotion and someone wrecked this. he's allowed to feel sad. we're not allowed to feel guilty. im sure he can come up with different cryptic mind fuckery with that genius brain he has. its okay to feel a little sad, but lets have some faith in the future eh?
