"Well, if you lights would be so kind as to demonstrate how this works?" Logan offers as he indicates the wall.

Janus looks up at you with curious eyes. "I must say I'm impressed. None of you have asked anny of the obvious questions about me, or Virgil or anything about the past...
Are we that scary?" they tease.

Oh!
Magic memories!
Logan chuckles. "I take that as a yes. Go ahead. Pick one,"

"Oh well we kinda just floated close to it and..."
I say as I float close to it, hoping it will move/make sounds like the last times.
You boop the small figure at the center again, the first thing you inspected that first night. Once again you hear the sounds of a crowd. And a child's voice. One that sounds like Roman. "Great Granny!" he calls out. And once again you hear what sounds like Patton praising him before insisting to look for his brother. Then Virgil's vioce, so much younger than you know him, insisting someone's size makes it unfair. But then there is more. "Come on Patton, we're going to be late!" Janus? "Just a second, you two are so fast!" Patton. They both sound so small. "He cannot help it Janus. His wings are not as suitable for speed as ours," Logan. And then the sounds fade out and you see Logan and Janus stare flabergasted at the wall. "That... Did you see that as well?" Logan wonders.

There is a brief discussion among the lights but eventually the loudest call requests to stick to the teachers. "Well, I was thinking of having some tea," Janus mused. "We can do that in the entrance hall. I am intrigued what the mural might bring forth," Logan mused. "You are all free to join us of course, whenever you have the time. It is quite a fascinating experience," he added, adressing the rest. "Nah, we wouldn't want to impose. You have to deal with us more than enough. Me and the prince were just reading in his room," Virgil explaiend. "Romie realy brought half the royal library's fiction section. That's the only way you two haven't run out of books yet," Remus huffed. "I'm trying to get Claire to learn some tricks! So I probably won't interupt either," Remus cackled. "Oh, um. I was going to get some chores done. But after that i might stop by if that's alright," Patton offered gently. "Of course Patton," Logan assured his old friend. "Please do hurry and join us. It feels like ages since we had a bit of fun with just the three of us," Janus pointed out. Patton smiled and nodded before heading up. The younger fairies all follow his example and so only the mentor fairies are left in the comon space. Logan turns to Janus. "Would you like some assistance?" he offers, holding out his hand. Janus rolls their eyes. "Sweet but not needed," they insist as they float down to the ground floor, followed by Logan and his steadily fluttering wings. Once their feet touch the ground the two fairies look around at the mural.

"I also moved really quickly! Teleportation right?"
Looking at Janus
"How does that work again? Appearing and disappearing? What about if there is something there when you move?"
Janus smirks, sipping their tea. "Prince Roman?"
The prince in question rises as though he were in class.
"When performing teleportation one uses their magic to move something or someone from one place to another. It requires a clear mental image of the target of the spell and the destination.
Difficulty of the spell increases from inanimate object, small creature, large creature and self. Locations you cant see should be very familiar to you or you risk making the target bump into an object. An unfamiliar object and/or a random location are strongly discouraged," he cited.
"Virgil. Why is that?" Janus wondered. Roman sat down and Virgil got up. "Teleportation relies heavily on the castors ability to picture the object in the desired location. Teleporting yourself is harder because getting teleported can feel disorienting. The spell moves the target into a poket dimensiondoor that has an exit in the desired location." Virgil explained.
Janus smirked. "Indeed. I hope that was helpful."

"We can learn magic too!!!" A chorus cheers.
"Logan is a silly little nerd," a small handfull of voices ads, much to the amusement of the other fairies.
Logan straightens his tie with a blush.
"You can get quite giddy when you are learning new things," Janus agrees comfortingly.
Logan clears his throat. "Be that as it may," he states a bit formal even for his standards. "It needs to be said that the potential ability to learn spells the lights have is merely a theory. We, Janus and I that is, thought it might be a good idea for you three to try your hand at teaching the basics. It's a way to revise your lessons that won't be quite as repeptitive as simply rehashing material," Logan offered.
Virgil and the princes exchange some glances and then nod.
"Sure. We can try," Virgil offers.
"Anything else?"Roman wonders.

"That makes sense"
I go on a floating adventure around the room, not really looking for anything specific.
As you float around you notice the firm division in the room between the lab where Janus no doubt experiments with potions and spells when they arent teaching, and Janus' personal space with his bed, and the bookcase filled with books labled with titles that both indicate academic and recreational purposes.
There is a bust and a glass ball and a picture frame.
Not wanting to accidently trigger a memory you float over to the les personal side and pass the ladder Janus used to meet you and Logan at equal height for the higher uup paintings and to retrieve ingredients on the high shelves.
It is a tidy practical room.

I shine brightly.
"So..."
"Why this tower? I understand that your hiding, so why not an underground bunker or behind a waterfall?"
The duo exchanges a look.
"Well, a waterfall would be a little dangerous for creatures small enough to bathe in a single drop dear," Janus explains.
"And I dont think any of us could've made it this far without real sunlight. Roman has to make it to his coronation alive and sane," Logan added.
"The tower is far enough from the canopy to be out of sight even without the protective spells actively hiding it.
It was also already here. We think it's a piece of an old fairy kingdom. Virgil thinks it might be part of a human toy forgotten here. It wasn't hard to change it to suit our needs. A little magic pooling through me with Janus' guidance and we created a home that could sustain us for 5 years," Logan explains, sounding fond of the memory.

"And you promise to say if we overstep any boundaries?"
Fondness returns to Janus' eyes.
"You have our word. You will find that we have gotten good at setting boundaries during our time here. Even Patton has come a long way in that regard." Logan assures you.

*points at one of the memory*
What's this memory
Janus chuckles as Logan helps them down. "Virgil was practising drawing portraits and I offered to model," they recalled.
"It looks like the lights drew out multiple snippets of memory Xi associates with you rather than the memory of when the portrait was drawn," Logan noted.
Janus nodded their agreement as the blue fairy started writing their findings down.
