Happy birthday to the wonderful @unlikelypersonahideout!

Fairlith, if you’re reading this, I want you to know how much you and your performances have affected me. I look up to you and I have so much respect for you for so many reasons. You’re an absoloute kickass actor, singer and writer, a fantastic role model for women and inspire me so much. You made the portal musical happen, which basically introduced me to fandom, great online friends, and my girlfriend. If I hadn’t saw you in Geekenders, or If I hadn’t been introduced to Geekenders at all, I never would’ve met my girlfriend or had the confidence to start drawing. 

It’s tough being a teenager, especially being a teenage girl. Lack of confidence and self doubt have been a terrible problem for me and I’m glad that Geekenders is a group that sees the beauty in everyone, it doesn’t matter what they look like or what society’s perception of “beauty” is, you have such an amazing and diverse cast of people and it makes me feel better. Like “Hey, I’m a beautiful person in my way.” 

I’m not saying this to suck up or anything, I just want you to know how much joy you and Geekenders have given me during tough times. I hope to pass that kindness and joy onto you and any other person who needs it. 

Anyways, sorry for the long wall of text. I hope you have had a great birthday, you definitely deserve it. <3!

i just heard hannah's voice for the first time and she said "why am i being yelled at" and she somehow sounded, in pitch and intonation, almost exactly like fairlith harvey playing glados in portal 2 the unauthorized musical.

Hi Jed, loved you and your butt in the Portal musical, just wondering, what is Fairlith Harvey like in real life? Is she like a secret reptilian, or more like 300 gerbils in a trench coat? How tall are the gerbils, once assembled? Are you getting enough vitamin C?

Thank you! My butt loved being in the Portal 2 musical, along with the rest of me!

I’m inclined to lean towards “300 gerbils in a trench coat,” although their height would vary depending on the configuration. They could neatly make a pyramid with a base width of 24 gerbils.  If we assume an average gerbil height to be 2.5 inches, that pyramid would be 5 feet tall.  In a more human-like arrangement in a trench coat, the Fairlith Gerbil Conglomerate would be closer to 5′10. Add a geeky t-shirt and some brightly coloured hair, and you’d have a convincing Fairlith.

Or picture Wonder Woman. I feel that may also be a reasonable approximation of Fairlith.

Am I getting enough Vitamin C? Maybe, but I’m not sure. The recent sunshine and good weather is helping me absorb more Vitamin D through my skin, though, so that’s nice.  Maybe I’ll actually go to the beach on a nice day off of work...

That picture has always just struck me as a distinctly GLaDOS-ish picture. I’ve wanted to draw such an appropriately badass picture of Her for ages, and I decided to make it musical!GLaDOS because the incomparable @unlikelypersonahideout’s birthday is this week. Love you, Fairlith~.
