I can hardly begin to explain what this con meant to me. I was so happy to meet people I have been friends with for years (@christyimnotred, @rj-abacura, @demonicsymphony, @rowanwanders, @besina) in person for the first time (I’m sorry if I forgot anyone, I have had very little sleep) and also so grateful to meet people I’ve admired (@anotherwellkeptsecret, @chucksauce, @urbanhymnal, @enerjax, @berlynn-wohl_wohl, to name just a few). I met so many amazing people, babbled about Sherlock Holmes, made new friends, danced and wrote and overall just had such an amazing time. I’m glad people liked my silly bees. I even discovered a new fandom (Thanks Christy for showing me the wonders of Check Please!) I was sad that a few people I was looking forward to meeting (@merindab, @queerzaza and I’m sure others) couldn’t be there.  I really hope I manage to go again next year and hopefully we can meet then.

Oh! and then when I got home two more amazing things happened. A family friend had dropped off The Sherlock Holmes Companion for me and when I was babbling to my parents about how much fun I had and The Great Mouse Detective panel, they were just like, Oh yeah, we knew the author. She was part of the Sherlockian group from when you were growing up. What!!!!??? Baby me knew Eve Titus? Why did I not know this?!

My Moon Phase Garlands ♡

Each one is very special as it takes so much work, so many tiny stitches and it hurts my hands so much to make them. Two of them have yet to be finished, and I think I've only made four total. There are front and back pieces, stuffing with fluff and little crystals; then I started hand sewing stars onto them.. 🙃 I hope I can find the time to revisit them this year, they always turn out so incredible in the end its worth all of the pain and effort.

I was feeling and still have some big inspo from Rules, but I'm also reading through Chainsawman now. 🐶

Which made me seek out one of my first favorite manga's I read as a kid- not because they are similar in any way lmao but because they both are hitting me deep, and Amu always inspired me deeply when it came specifically to clothing design.

Finishing up a granny square project for my friends, got snatched up by the siren, and also starting ALL the fall projects ASAP!!! August 15th is national granny square day 💗

Yeah so I spent quite a scary amount of time being fully addicted to Stardew, and I am still happily running my farm BUT

I am kind of proud of this scrappy halter vest I pumped out themed after the beloved stardrops 🌟

I literally could not figure out how to get all the colors to look right by doing colorwork with yarn ssssooooooo I used eyeshadow? 😅 is that crazy?? Idk I don't think its perfect but it's not too bad either (":

Also hmu if anyone wants to know how I did any of this I didn't think it was a big enough deal to long post it all at this moment but I'm more than happy to share those deets!

I recently fell back into a pit of depression, so while climbing out I thought a great way to feel better would be to make some frog hats for the boys. ♡

I couldn't even get one normal picture, just 20+ of them both giving me the stink eye.

Shoutout to the awesome author of the pattern for this hat because it was so thoroughly well done!! ☆

I am constantly daydreaming about being able to wake up and just go walk through a cute town area that has a fresh bread and coffee shop within walking distance of whatever dreamy loft I wish I lived in as my morning ritual.

all too often I find myself feeling like I would be purely happy and content with spending the rest of my life doing mostly nothing other than crocheting. I feel like I've done this in many life times, and I wonder if I keep coming back to this human existence just to keep crocheting...
