Op thank you so much for writing this because I had the same thoughts myself. Style and Fadel had such a horrendous first impression of each other. They have every reason to dislike each other. And if as I guess, Style is indeed the type who doesn't believe in casual hookups, there is no way he will properly flirt with a man he obviously dislikes.
Style, in my opinion, is actually a lonely and bored puppy. He is very playful and carefree and just wants to have a good time. The only people in his life seem to be his dad and Kant. And though both of them indulge his playful and ridiculous behavior, neither really engages with him. They don't play along. And after Kant started pursuing Bison, Style must be oh so very bored, with no one to play with. I think that is partly why he agreed to keep Fadel busy for Kant. Not just because Style believes Kant is in love for the first time and wants to help out a friend, not just for the car he has after for who knows how long, but also because Style is just so bored. Might as well help out a friend and get revenge while he's at it.
The masterchef roleplay in the kitchen is such a significant moment for Style's change in mindset. Because in this scene, Fadel doesn't just indulge or acknowledge Style's roleplay and brush it off, like the others may have done. No, Fadel properly plays along with Style. He participates in the roleplay. And that is why Style for the first time wants to properly flirt with Fadel.
When Style enters the sauna he is still very much in a playful mood. Yes, he is actively trying to seduce Fadel but this is all still very much a game to him. It's only when Style starts to caress Fadel's tattoo and Fadel totally fails to hide his reaction that Style finally loses himself in the moment. So it's not just Style who finally breaks through to Fadel in this moment. Fadel also, totally unintentionally, breaks through to Style in this moment. The moment Fadel starts to show his emotions, Style starts wanting Fadel for himself.
The best part here is that although Style knows that he had an effect on Fadel, he has no idea about how big that effect actually was. It will be so much fun to see the FadelStyle dynamics play out next episode.
I thought I was done talking about Style in THK's episode 2, but jokes on me, no I'm not.
I keep thinking about Style and Bison's first interaction and how pure and sweet it was. In the middle of the mess that is this 4-way whirlwind of lies and deception, it felt like a refreshingly honest conversation between two people who are only accidentally lying to each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Style seems incredibly earnest when he tells Bison that Fadel is "down bad" for him. It doesn't feel like Style is 'wingmanning' Kant here; or if he is, it isn't meant to be malicious or to mislead Bison. It feels like someone being friendly with his bff's crush and hoping that they can get along because he thinks this one's going to stick around.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Similarly, when Bison tells Style to go for Fadel for real, it feels very honest and earnest. Setting aside whatever games Bison is playing with Kant, Bison seems to genuinely want someone for his big brother, and not just so he can date who he wants or as a distraction.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's also interesting how Style's protest is that he can't see himself actually gaining feelings for Fadel because in a way there's nothing to recommend Fadel to Style at this point. As far as Style is concerned, Fadel is arrogant and condescending, rude and ungrateful (after all, he did replace a bunch of parts in Fadel's car for free), a stick in the mud about his brother dating, and can't seem to take a joke.
We see the polite, pleasant and reasonable Fadel, but Style doesn't.
Tumblr media
Which is why I've been obsessing over Style's expressions immediately after the conversation with Bison. Bison's parting insight is "He's rough on the outside, and on the inside," and I think he accidentally piqued Style's curiosity with that line. Because why does Bison still want his brother to have a "real" relationship, then? What makes Fadel worth loving, despite (what Style thinks is) nothing to recommend him?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ugh I wish I knew how to make gifs because Dunk goes through a whole sequence of expressions here that suggests a shift happens in the way he's thinking of Fadel. There's a pensive and thoughtful look and then almost like, "Oh what the hell, might as well see where this goes" kind of amusement at the end. And I think the reason he has this shift is because he's realised that Bison clearly loves his brother and that must mean that there's more to Fadel then his initial impression of the man.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's interesting that his next attempt at messing with Fadel actually invites Fadel to play along with it. It's so much tamer and more private than the previous attempts because he isn't actively trying to humiliate Fadel this time. And it works?? Fadel engages in the roleplay, indulges Style's ridiculousness, actually chops faster (whilst the most hysterical series of minute expressions play over Fadel's face <3). Perhaps this was Style testing the waters: can Fadel engage with something playful and not take everything way too seriously? Huh, turns out, he can!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next time Style shows up around Fadel, he's circled back to that playful over-the-top flirting that characterised the garage scene. This is the first time in this episode that Style is actually flirting. Every other time was just to frustrate/humiliate Fadel but notice how he's actively trying to look attractive to Fadel now? He's putting all his best (ahem) assets on display, and poor Fadel has no real protection against this. And, oh, Style is loving this! He's gleefully lapping up every single time Fadel fails to completely hide that he's affected by him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This, though. THIS precisely is the point I think Style decides that he really does want Fadel for himself. There's so much playing out over Style's face: the determination to push things further, the delighted surprise to see Fadel so rattled, the razor sharp focus, and then desire. Style has finally broken through Fadel's "roughness" and he loves it.
If that uncle hadn't walked in, I'm convinced Fadel would have let Style do anything he wanted, and I think Style knew that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's the first time Style immediately chases after Fadel when he walks away from him, and he's absolutely delighted when Fadel all but chokes him against the lockers because that means he still has Fadel within reach.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The whole conversation about "love at first sight" is breathtaking because it feels like Style is discovering what's going to make Fadel crack as he says it and realising just how much he wants this. And no, I don't think he's in love with Fadel yet (not by a LONG shot), but I think he realises that he wants Fadel to fall in love with him. This is such a shift from what he expressed in the diner to Bison. In the diner, there was no hope, no chance for this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kisses catch Style by surprise too: you can see that he's just reacting, pushing to see where Fadel will finally draw the line. Because Fadel kisses back in the first kiss and actually fails to push Style away for quite some time in the 2nd kiss (the camera purposely lingers on the way Fadel's hands hover over Style's waist without shoving him back). The third kiss is the point Fadel finally starts fighting, and in the immidate aftermath you can see Style watching so carefully again. And Fadel nearly kisses him again, you see the way Fadel's eyes drop to Style's lips, the way they both freeze and linger in the moment for that one second. The way Style registers that moment and it leaves Style shaken himself.
Tumblr media
It's so interesting that this is how we leave Style in this episode (we only see Fadel's fantasy version of Style after this point). I've got two possible interpretations for this line:
Style possibly catches on that Fadel is more dangerous than he seems. Maybe just from vibes, maybe from something in the way Fadel threatened him that kicks off some kind of fearful instinct. This could be what makes Style start questioning if Kant told him the full story and lead to whatever scene it is where Style demands answers in the episode 3 preview.
Alternatively, perhaps Fadel is starting to become real to Style in ways he wasn't before. Fadel was almost a caricature of a man, one which Style didn't like very much before, and that made it easier to fool around with him. But this? This almost tortured man who clearly wants Style but can't seem to give into that desire? Something is going on and Style isn't sure it's worth the game to either of them anymore. Because maybe Style recognises that he's more affected than he should be. And that has implications that Style was not ready for.

Understanding Kant
Kant never let himself fully fall for bison or kindled his initial attraction. He didn't think twice about it at first. He even found bison's little quirks annoying and went overboard with the love bombing so his act doesn't show. His Misson was to protect babe in this dangerous game he was made to play.
Kant first started to see bison as a human the night at his home where he got to see a boy with dreams and not just a beautiful killer. When bison didn't think twice to protect babe when he initial only came to. question Kant's loyalty is where Kant's wall started crumbling. Bison was loyal. Kant tried so hard to act like he didn't fall for bison already , style had to throw Kant's feelings in his face for him to even barely acknowledge it.
Style on the other hand thought he was playing a bet to win a cool car at first, it slowly became a chase when fadel would not fold for his handsome looks or straight up stalking. He's just annoyingly funny and so effortlessly good at wearing one down that even fadel folded
Just as fadel showed his true self and started to drop the guard around him style had no choice but to fall in love with a killer. Fadel being a killer didn't matter to him, he likes the thrill and the way fadel makes him feel when they are together
If Kant's style of approching bison was deception, style's was stalking. Neither of the two are romantic. The only difference is kant came off sleezy and style came off as funny.
they are two different ppl playing in two different fields. If style has only his heart broken kant has a brother to lose and be heartbroken, no wonder he chose to protect his heart too.
The saddest part of it all is bison is the only one among them who wanted love and a life to live without lies and he's being fed lie after lie everyday. He's too smart for this all but also too much in his pink haze to see the truth.
First is doing an incredible job at making us root against kant, at the same time if you look closer he is also delivering Kant's repressed guild and love so well.
I'm so glad we are at the stage where fadel and bison know the truth well into EP6 so we won't be rushing a ep 11 break up

whooo I finished ep 4 and 5 of The Heart Killers
I still don't like Kant, I'm warming up to Bison, still obsessed with FadelStyle, and I want Style carnally.
I'm also really interested in how they're using the music and soundtrack to emphasize the emotions of some scenes.
This post is about to be longer than my usual since it's covering two eps but anyway
Spoilers under the cut !
Me when I overanalyze my BL:
First and foremost, that pat down scene in ep 4 where Fadel maintained eye contact with Kant as he searched him... How do u put that there and expect ppl to not imagine things, Jojo..... 😫 Even the goofy music in the background couldn't dissuade me from thinking they should hate fuck ☝️ but anyway
It's very obvious that while Style isn't fully committed and his feelings for Fadel are just starting to bloom, he definitely wants that man. Atp where we are in ep 4 he's obviously lusting after that man (face economy, body tea). I mean he gave him, apparently, the best sex of his life in a grief meeting storage room. He let the man cut his little crop top off. The lust of it all is so real. But I think now, after the chase, after spending more time with him, especially after hearing how Fadel was asking where he was, he's pursuing Fadel with more sincere intentions and I think he truly wants to know Fadel more. And lord have mercy, that scene in the woods.
That scene in the abandoned warehouse in the woods, aside from the iconic "I don't like that I miss you", is when I first noticed the soundtrack specifically highlighting the emotions. Now, I know soundtracks are meant to do that but I think they're doing it in a really fun way IDK They put a lighthearted cute, and low-key hopeful, little tune over a heated make out and handjob. It felt like it reflected their emotions in that moment really well and how the audience is meant to see the scene. It's not just a hot and heavy make out session because yay official, it's an indicator of a turning page, especially for Fadel. It's a signal that he can get butterflies in his stomach too, even with his enormous walls and stoic mask (defense mechanism), and I'm sticking to that interpretation. I love u my emotionally and sexually repressed little hitman.
And then Kant came in and decided NOW is the perfect time to finally tell his friend that oh yeah ur new bf is a hitman. It's not even that part that actually annoyed me, it's the little quip when Style says gunman instead of hitman. Like I'll kill u with a gun Kant. 😭
I fear I may never truly warm up to him, he is so annoying to me. 😔
Okay so ep 5, I kind of warmed up to Bison. He's cute he's fun, he's totally ignoring his instincts about Kant even tho he knows better. He seems less than helpful in most scenarios though, but whatever
There were two scenes that caught my attention and they were obviously meant to:
1) Kant and Bison post coital cuddles
2) Style and Fadel's intimacy towards the end of the ep
I'm mostly talking about the music again and the intentional use (or absence) of it. During the KantBison scene, when Bison is being so gentle with his kisses and telling Kant tender words, the music reaches a subtle crescendo once Bison says he feels like his life is changing since he met Kant and the camera lands right in Kant's distressed face. It was a great way to signal that Kant is gonna face the music very soon. I found that fun and I had to rewind a couple times just to make sure I wasn't making it up in my head. Could just be a transition sound choice, but I'm reading into it.
The KantBison scene felt like a big contrast next to the FadelStyle scene to me. At this point I think they're both feeling more than they're letting on for each other. Fadel and Style's night is, mostly, quiet. There's no backtrack for the most part. Fadel is splayed out in the bed just watching Style take his shirt off, exposing himself more than Fadel, and caging Fadel in by crawling on top of him. Style is on top of him kissing him, doing what he wants to, and Fadel is letting him. Style is telling Fadel that he wants to be trusted, he wants more from Fadel and he's willing to wait for him to be ready. He means it. And I know there's the component of this all starting for some car and Style now being aware of the reality of the situation but I think that's the point. That's the point of doing this specific scene with the absence of a backtrack until Style starts getting actually frisky. When Style is saying all of this and kissing Fadel's scar, we only listen to his words, their breathing, and their kisses. It's bare bones, but that's the point. To bare it all.
Did I read into that too much? Maybe! but idgaaaaffff. I'm eating this shit up and having fun dissecting things that maybe don't need dissecting. :P
I think it's obvious I'm more invested in FadelStyle than KantBison.... zorry! They put me-targeted drugs in FadelStyle. It's not my fault. 🧍

My thoughts on FadelStyle
(The Heart Killers - Episode 2)
It took time because there was a lot to process. Anyways, I'm here.
This was one of my favorite episodes because when it comes to aesthetics and location, Jojo is a complete genius. Everything look so good.
I love Style. He is completely crazy. I just love how unpredictable he is. It's clear that his feelings are not there yet, he wants that car and he wants to win against Fadel for his ego. Also, he really believes that Bison is just Kant's new fuck only and wants to help. He doesn't suspect at all that his friends could get him in a problem. He literally compliments Bison knowing that it will help making Bison fall harder. I'm seeing a good friend there.
Another thing about Style is that he is fearless. That's why I'm not really worried about how things will turn out. Because I think if anything ever happens to him for goin after Fadel, he will know how to act to make it out alive. Also, he wouldn't get mad easily. It could sound completely nuts but I think Style won't care about who Fadel is, he will follow him anywhere after he falls. It seems like their problems won't be lies or misunderstandings, they will be together like a team and then it's when problems like facing a criminal life will hit them. Even then I see Style getting closer.
Fadel, on the other hand, he had one of the most beautiful scenes in the entire show. The sauna one. Yes, I love NC scenes when they are well played and necessary. This scene wasn't for the aesthetics (even if it's beautiful) and if you skip it maybe you missed a lot about Fadel's character. I loved the fact that he shows clearly how conflicted he is, how much he needed someone to break into his life and get him out of the maze he himself created to never meet or care about anyone else. Style turns on all his alarms but Fadel is willing to explore. This made him look so young and promising. Even if it's everywhere the fact that he is allegedly "heartless" and "bored". Fadel feels things deeply and that's why he wants to protect what he loves.
There's new doors on Fadel's mind now. There's a place where his sexuality is heard. He likes Style, he can't hide it and it's how he gets under his skin, and it can sound superficial but it actually isn't because sexuality for Fadel is no joke. This is not about the couple itself but about Fadel exclusively. Style was allowing him to taste a bit of what he's missing, without Style, Fadel would probably never experience.
WARNING: Do not trust Jojo. How it looks now it can't be very different later. He makes no sense and doesn't read public's needs rightly. So don't hold on this stuff deeply, I don't want you to be sad. Let's pray.

I’ve heard that The Heart Killers is a romcom heavily inspired by the 90s. I love this for FirstKhao who have said they wanted to do a comedy. I think KantBison is going to be a more playful couple than FadelStyle so the looks that they are going for makes sense to me.
Yes. It’s a mixture of action and rom-com. Jojo takes inspiration from “10 Things I Hate About You”, which itself is based on “The Taming of the Shrew.” Jojo also recently mentioned how excited he has been scouting the areas for THK and it reminded him of 3 Will Be Free (and if you haven’t watch this, go do so!!! It has mafia, poly couple and grittiness). Plus, we know he can do comedy quite well (Mama Gogo and Dirty Laundry comes to mind). So I have high hope for this.
Jojo also mentioned the style he is using for the boys - mainly the early 2000-2010 circa. And it’s interesting to see some of pictures he put on Twitter as references (😂 - some of the fashion choice are not to my aesthetics but then again, I have to admire him cause he has clear vision with what he wants for the boys).
I will also agree with you that KantBison will be more colourful & eccentric than FadelStyle (although I suspect we will also see unexpected facet of the latter!).
Jojo and all the boys have made it clear they are diverting far away from their previous characters. Hence the new haircuts and colourful clothes for FirstKhao. FirstKhao frankly say during the recent IVISN event - so that it really separates them from SandRay. Joong also went on record saying he wil be wearing no makeup on set (or bare minimum) cause P’Jojo wants him “rough and raw looking.” - I personally think all the boys look amazing and they seems to be able to carry the aesthetics Jojo has envision for them.
Like you, I’m very much looking forward to The Heart Killers - I have enjoyed all of Jojo’s dramas so far (including Only Friends, which have cause wars 😂 on Twitter/Tumblr) and I suspect THK will be the same!

Thoughts for Today - Ep. 4 of The Heart Killers
Ah yes, the long awaited THK Wednesday has arrived and with it, a new episode. Once again, it delivers a nice a little episode, a more laid back one in comparison to last week’s BDSM scene, FadelStyle NC scene, and so on. I loved the vibes of today’s episode and without further ado, let’s jump right into.
Review:
So I’m still figuring out how I want to format my reviews, just bear with me guys 😭. But anyway, to start off, we finally boyfriend conformation from both sides! I would say congrats if this wasn’t The Heart Killers and we all know how it’s gonna go down. Another praise of the show is I like how messy it’s making everything. It’s clearly showing the audience the messy web that it’s spinning, how everyone is deceiving and lying to one another that makes it feel very so real, unfortunately. It’s miracle how it’s been able to balance campy and uncomfortable realism so well. Like Kant’s character, for example, finds new ways to make me fall in love with him. You understand why he’s doing what he’s doing while also watching him fall deeper in love for Bison that conflicting with his goals. And it makes the audience struggle of which path he should take; if he chooses Bison, he loses his brother and freedom. If he chooses his brother, he loses Bison and what it means to love someone like that. It’s uncomfortable, tense, and I love it.
Same with all the characters. Bison showing more signs he’s not as naive and cutesy as he pretends to be and if that preview for the next episode has anything to say, it’s that were finally going to see more of this cold blooded killer side. We did get to see more of that side today and I like how the show is taking its time with showing that to us. Saw a little bit last week with Bison’s sadistic tendencies in bed and now today with his jealousy and threats to Kant before he switches to his more nicer side. The beginning being hilarious, little side tangent. The little side vigilante mission they went on was also very cute, a close call from Captain, but otherwise a great little scene that helped to deepen their bond. Till they finally made it official as boyfriends. Now, I definitely think Kant likes Bison. Probably more than he should as we can see whenever he’s been genuine through his facial expressions. When he’s apprehensive about something, his face will show it as will whenever he’s being genuine and caring about Bison. Also showing that when he had those flashbacks in the shower. He likes the man and he knows he shouldn’t because now, his goals, his freedom and his brother are at risk. It’s all going to be so awesome to see unravel next week.
The scene between them in the forest, disregarding the kitchen scene and the scenes of him missing Style, were an awesome build up to the scene in the woods. We know very well that he could’ve killed Style anytime he wanted and hell, he’s probably thought about it more than once. That was until he started getting curious about him. Then the infamous self-fun scene in Ep. 2 came out, where his curiosity turned into lust. Then that lust exploding into fruition in last week’s episode where he slept with Style, hoping to get it out of his system when he knew deep down he’d probably want more just as much as Style. The same Style who, show cased as being a playboy and only down for hookups, was legitimately hurt that he was ‘nailed and bailed’ in his words. I like how even though he tries to pass if off, he’s hurt with Fadel treating it like nothing, where now, he’s invested in the man before he was told that he’s an assassin. Before that, he made it clear that he’s cares now about Fadel, wanting to learn more about him and be there with him more, stating these thoughts and emotions in the warehouse in the woods. That scene was so well done. The vulnerability from Fadel, the intent listening from Style. You can see Style a little on edge before Fadel grabs him, then his face and guard falling the more he listens to Fadel rant about his feelings. His face turns from caution to understanding, leaning in to kiss Fadel and confirm his own feelings by saying ‘It’s ok to love.’ (Screamed at this part) And Fadel? Joong never fails to impress. The way he just rants about his feelings, how he hates that Style has made him this way, how he hates that he misses Style. This is first time in the series that I think we get to see that crack in his shell, his mask slipping for a brief second as he lets all this come out and for a second, we see the caring man we was once before his life got in the way and molded him into putting up such high walls. And when Style tells him that, his face soft for the first time ever, he embraces Style not because he has to but because he wants to. There’s no excuse of wanting to let it out or to get Style off his back. He WANTS Style. He WANTS to have him, embrace, to care about him. The NC scene feeling so much more passionate, tender, and real than last week. Both sides giving into each other completely, opening up their walls for each other, even if for a little. I loved it so much, the acting from both sides incredible and the chemistry off the charts that gives KantBison a run for their money.
Overall, had fun with this episode like usual. With the way things are going, the slow buildup to eventual catastrophe soon to come will be great to see, well story wise. The acting was fun per usual and we got to see some great character moments despite the more laidback setup of the episode. Love how the plot is still progressing, my only complaint is that I hope we get to see more Mother and Keen moments as I know they are going to be somewhat responsible for the downfall of our characters. That’s all I had for today, give the episode an 8/10. Thanks for reading this far and hope you great rest of your day/night!
Until next time.

I KNEW Fadel takes Style to the woods to kill him. I knew it. It was even more clear after my first rewatch. He did say he wanted to shut him up. Hahaha.
Then he drives him to an abandoned greenhouse. Style thinks it’s their new location for smexy times and is excited. Fadel is here to kill and rolls his eyes. (Fadel told Bison to take care of Kant. Probably meaning he should kill Kant, too. Problem solved for both of them.)
Fadel then stalks off into the dark, leaving Style alone for several long minutes. Style joked twice about Fadel wanting to kill him. His gut instinct is right, after all, there is truth in every joke. 🤣 (Style’s self-preservation instinct is asleep. He did find Fadel shady, why not be more afraid of him in this particular situation? He has seen Fadel fighting three guys.)
What is Fadel doing in the meantime? My guess is that he is looking for a weapon (he has no gun on him). And when he finally has one, he realizes he can’t kill Style. That gets him so worked up that he gives Style his “10 things I hate about you” speech.
I wish we had been given Fadel’s POV here. I want to see him torn about not being able to kill Style.
I love Fadelstyle! They are so interesting! I want to know more about Fadel’s ex. Either he is dead (killed by Mother or one of hers) or he ran off and maybe comes back? But they wouldn’t go that direction with the returning ex twice, right?
For anyone who wants to listen to the whole subbed THK Ep 4 Space Talk on Twitter (X) - a kind fan has subbed it completely
My highlights:
1) Jojo loves the Fadel/Style scene at the creepy farmhouse and for Bison/Kant when they exchange the heart burger pin - cause in both scenes you can see distinct emotions. Fadel overflow outburst with Style’s single line quiet contained. And for the Kant, the guilt as Bison opens up to him. (Fadel also admitted that he brought Style there because he did think to shut him permanently lol… (that’s how I read it anyway)
2) Jojo and Joong are the biggest P’Kant defender 😂. Poor First, the sweetie was keeping quiet cause he knew a lot of fans are not too please with his character (why? First is amazing lol) - and I am now convinced Joong is half in love with First - he keeps saying First is super handsome 🥰 and that First is always correct
3) First on the other hand, is still very much in love with Khaotung 😂 - be it as Bison or in real life
4) Jojo favourite relationship is actually Bison and Fadel (me too!!)
4) And the cut version cut out a lot of scenes that have nothing to do with NC? - like they don’t include the scene between Style and his dad (why???) or even the conversation between Kant/Babe after KantBison confronted the pedophile - no wonder a lot of fans (who may have only watched the cut version) got upset 😅. Plus the cut version doesn’t include Bison wiggling on Fadel in that firemen suits (such travesty!)
Tumblr media
Anyway, we will be getting Dunk’s OST before Ep 5! And episode 5 is where we see not only sweetness but also Kant/Style start doing their mission…
Also, Jojo and Khaotung admitted that when Bison finds out the betrayal he goes bonkers 😅 (can’t wait!)
