Daddy’s Girl

Setting

Washington DC. The not-so-distant future.

Character A

Female. Ten years old. Currently enrolled in the fifth grade. Still needs her teddy bear at night. Telekinetic. Faceclaim is Quvenzhané Wallis.

Character B

Male. 43 years old. Secret Service agent for the Mutant Control Agency. Devoted single father. Anti-mutant. Faceclaim is Don Cheadle.

Plot

A is just a normal fifth grade girl, except for one thing. She can move things with her mind.

B is trying his hardest to be a good father to his daughter while protecting her from the mutants who have started to appear.

One day, B catches A moving books around her bedroom with her mind. He knows that her powers are unnatural and that he ought to turn her in, but A is also his daughter. He makes A promise to hide her powers, no matter what. B reluctantly agrees.

However, that is easier said than done, and A’s powers are only growing stronger. One day, at school, she slips up and destroys her classroom. Terrified, she runs home and tells B what she did. It’s too late. The proper authorities have been alerted and are now looking for her.

A and B are forced to go on the run, and nobody knows what will happen to them next.

Status

Open. I would like to play A, but am willing to take either role. I’m also open to other faceclaim suggestions but will not make any promises.
