Oh man, I’m not a pro by any means but I’m trying! I have an acne prone combination skin, it used to lean toward oily but I’m having some dryness right now.

I use salicylic acid and niacinamide from the ordinary am & pm, aha + bha peeling solution weekly (sometimes biweekly), mouisturize (bepanthol), eye cream (pure beauty/nuxe) and just started using rosehip seed oil at night.

I alternate between the neutrogena scrub (hydroboost) and the simple rice scrub for pm and sebamed cleanser for am. I use a foreo cleansing silicone to wash my face. Almost all my complexion products have SPF in them and I also have sunscreens from la roche posay (anthelios series) and heliocare (tinted).

I also recently started on birth control so hopefully that’ll help with the hormonal effect on my skin.

smilla: i would say i have pretty sensitive skin, it’s rarely dry our oily but i get pimpels easily and i’ve struggled with acne before. in the morning i wash my face with a tea tree face wash from the body shop, then i put on some ”oils of life” oil that’s also from the body shop and then lastly i put on some mattifying moisturizer from dermalex.

before i go to bed i remove my makeup using coconut oil for my eyes and a toner for the rest of my face, then i wash my face using my face wash and lastly put on an acne cream from dermalex.

line: my skin is pretty sensitive and also i tend to get veeryyy dry! when washing my face i use a 2-in-1 facewash/mask from neutrogena. to moistureize i use a face oil from a local brand called ”tistel”, and a face cream from nivea for dry skin. i do this every morning and evening. i also love face masks and use different ones like twice a week, i usually start off with a peel off mask and then after that i put on a mouisture mask! i have also started to use a face peel from the body shop which i really love, and makes my skin sooo smooth, that i use twice a week!

primer: i like the smashbox primerizer (even though it looks super inappropriate), the becca first light...and that’s what i have atm 

foundation: physician’s formula healthy skin!!! i LOVE. i like the missha bb cream as well

powder: i go very very light with this and do the milani prep set glow under my eyes and maybelline fit me loose on my face

bronzer/blush/highlight: physician’s formula butter, i use a tarte amazonian i got for my birthday, and the physican’s formula nude strip (i think that’s what it’s called)

setting spray: milani make it last!!!

eyeprimer/shadow: milani eye primer (THE BEST), i like my too faced matte palette, colourpop shadows, and the new emilynoel83 “the wants” (i don’t really wear eyeliner but the nyx epic ink liquid is really good)

mascara: lorael telescopic carbon black and covergirl clump crusher water resistant on lower lashes

My Thoughts on Paragon

Yesterday I shared my experience going to Teater Jakarta in Taman Ismail Marzuki. Today, I want to share my another great experience. After going to Teater Jakarta, I went visiting PT Paragon Technology and Innovation. Many people don’t know this company, but surely know their products: Wardah, Emina, Make Over, and IX. Yes, those comestics are greatly made by Paragon. And I’m so lucky being able to see their company!

I'm not really into cosmetics and make up, but, of course, I’m still using a few of them. I use moisturizer as I have dry-to-normal skin. I also use skin and hair care like shampoo, conditioner, and face mask. Many people are just like me, not really into cosmetics. They try to be natural. But, Mrs. Esti, one of my adorable lecturer, gave this great considerable quote.

“Petroleum may be disappeared, but beauty is eternal.”

So, as a to-be-engineer, I think I will stop thinking about oil&gas industry and start considering cosmetic industry. Paragon may be the good one lol lol lol

Paragon is now a largest national cosmetics manufacturer in Indonesia. They are the second largest mouisturizer manufacturer and the third at manufacturing cleanser. Paragon actually has a really interesting history.

They started when monetary crisis around 1998. That time, a lot of people went being rich because they got the compensations. This fact was proven by the appearance of many new tenants. More Muslims went to a new higher class, trying to be more beautiful, had better appearances. As they were more educated, they were looking for halal products. It made Wardah, their starter product, popular. Isn’t that interesting?

The history proves that Paragon have a different basic of vision compared to old company. Most of old company have their vision talk about themselves, for being a better, even the best company. But Paragon have the vision that talk bout how the company able to give effect to environment.

There is something interesting about Paragon. Most of the workers they have is female! Now, they are challenging themselves to make more-lady-aware work environment. Paragon understand that only 10-15% workers are really talents. However, almost half of them stop working because of family. Paragon do not want to lose them easily. At least, giving better work environment hopefully can make them keep working.

That is an amazing mission! I love how Paragon really aware about woman. I hope more company starts thinking about this. Starting that day, I have bigger ambition for working there lol

First, I must say THANK YOU for sending this at such a convient time. I used this for myself for holiday parties and get togethers but also for my daughter for her holiday choir concert.

Overall I loved just about everything I received so let's tackle this one by one, shall we?

1. Eva·NYC Theraphy Session Hair Mask

So I am pretty picky about my hair care supplies because my hair is a hot mess and any number of things can make my hair brittle and dull so I'll admit trying this was a bit scary. The packaging states you can use as a weekly treatment or daily use so I decides to try it on a weekly basis. It has been 2 weeks now and my hair is pretty soft and silky but I haven't noticed a significant change. This is a good product so far but could be even better if it had frizz control properties.

2. Eva·NYC Kween Glitter Spray

This works for your hair and body and man does this smell amazing. It smells like baby powdered coconut. If you ever used a dry shampoo that is essentially what this is. The glitter is super fine so you can layer this on how you like. I loved this because it didn't weigh down my hair and I felt clean and refreshed with it in my hair. Also the glitter washes out okay, it's not a total nightmare but do be warned I would spray in an area where you don't want glitter to be. This must does kinda get on whatever is in close proximity.

3. Caudalie Vinopure Skin Perfecting Serum

I fell in love with this but not for it's intended use. I don't have very big pores so I never really concern myself with pore care but what I did love about this product is the mouisturizing properties it has. This serum is a silky gel like substance which makes for great easy application and you don't need much to get the job done. I use about a dime sized amount for my whole face. It feels a bit tacky but doesn't leave you feeling sticky. After using this for a few days I notived minimizing of some dry patchy areas I get on my cheeks. For me, this product is a win all the way around.

4. Stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow

This has probably got to be my favorite product in the box this month. I am usually not a fan of cream or liquid eyeshadow because they can be messy, hard to apply, or hard to build on/ blend. I really loved this because it over came ever stigma I had about liquid eyeshadow. This one is great because you can go from a tinted shimmer to a full on pigmented shine. I used this with my powdered eyeshadow and they blended so well together and best of all no mess and no do overs.

5. Kenneth Cole Fragrences

I recieved 3 different scents: Energy, Intensity & Serenity. To make this simple Energy is very strong and full of citrus notes which are not my favorite. That being said I didn't care much for Energy but was absolutely in love with Intensity & Serenity which are more Musky/ Earthy in Fragrence.
