Eliana Kapur was born and raised in Huntsville. She had a pretty regular and happy upbringing with her parents and two brothers. She was kind of just an average high schooler, quiet and kind. People knew her but she wasn't by any means part of a popular crowd.

When she was 16 she came out to her parents and they did NOT handle it well. She was kicked out of the house and had to stay with a friend (CLARA). Around this time she started working at the family video as a cashier, in order to make money and help offset the burden she placed on that friend.

Her family were among some of the early deaths after the paradox. She doesn't know how she feels about this, because she never got any sort of closure, though she visits her brothers' graves regularly to talk to them. This is something she's sort of ignored rather than working through, so it will likely resurface at some point.

With no home of her own, and a belief in the sharing system that was set up, Elya moved into the commune. When not working at the video store (now a manager) she can also be found in the woods doing work as a gatherer using her knowledge of plants.

BACKGROUND

Jade was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and loved every moment of it. There was always something to do, museums and art around every corner. She loved the mountains, it gave texture to the world around her and it made her feel comfortable. The only thing missing was beaches, but she wasn’t really into walking into a world she couldn’t see. 

Jade finished high school with honors and went to college in town for english. It gave her the ability to spend all of her time reading and writing, which was her comfort zone. It was like a magic portal that made her get to explore anything and anyplace without any real risky. 

After years of writing different genres, Jade realized she had a knack for horror. She saw everything through the lense of books so she had enough of a detatchment she could write horrific detail without blinking. Her favorite thing to read is who-dun-its. There was something fun and exciting trying to figure out a mystery with the risk of dying at every step. 

Jade lived a sheltered life, nothing all that exciting happened to her. Her nose was in the books and her heads in the clouds. So when she finished school she decided to start exploring. She went from horror landmark to horror landmark before she heard that there were two separate series of murders that both recently took place in a small town right outside of Salem. It was just too exciting to pass up on. 

She just arrived in town last week, right after the cops caught the killer. Books always explain what happens leading up to and during the main event, but there was something about watching the aftermath.

Jade was a sweet and soft spoken woman. She spent more time writing and typing than she did speaking. She doesn’t feel like she has much to say, so she spends most of her time listening. She has always been more book smart than street smart, but that innocence works for her. It keeps things around her exciting and new. She has dated both men and women on and off through out her life but nothing really stuck. She never found anyone who excited her as much as the characters she created in her own brain. She is a great friend, though, loyal and always down to get brunch. Her only job is writing so she has a flexible schedule.

Lalita is a Half Moon native, she was born and raised in the heart of the town. Her mother met her father when they were in high school and instantly fell in love. The two dated until after college and that was when they had Lalita. They were always encouraging and supportive of anything that Lalita wanted to do. Eliana was born in the beautiful coastal city of San Diego, California to two teenagers who were a little on the wild side. Her mother came from a strict upbringing of an ultra conservative, religious family, that didn't believe in abortion, but also didn't believe in having their teenage daughter being known as the the girl who brought a child into the world out of wedlock. When her parents got involved, Eliana's father couldn't marry the woman who was her biological mother knowing what her parents, grandparents, and what would be expected of him. Plus, he was only a teenager himself, he wasn't looking or ready to raise a baby barely, let alone become someone's husband as well. Michael did however make a deal with her parents to be the one to raise the baby, her mother could have a clean start, and in mid-fall she was handed over to her father and he began his life as a single, teenage father.

Growing up Eliana never felt like she was missing out on anything in life, she had grandparents on her father's side that took care of her while her father went to school and worked, and a father that was completely committed to being everything one little girl needed who didn't have a mother. While she was aware growing up that her friends had mothers that took them to school, to dance class, and other things, Eliana had her father. The teenage years were much more interesting and creative in the household, mostly on her father's part, to keep her educated on her changing body and boys. While embarrassing then she appreciate the time he took with her no matter how uncomfortable the subject matter.

Never once did she attempt to pry information into his past with her biological mother or her family, never having felt the need. At the time she felt completely whole, like she wasn't missing any part of her because the truth was, she wasn't. To her it was her father and her versus the world, and they made a great little team. He showed up to all of her soccer games, theater plays, dance recitals, and never complained once. When she was sixteen her father met and started dating the woman who would, legally, go on to become her step-mother, but would be her actual mom in her life. Bethany welcomed her into her life, and her family did as well, with open arms like she was her own daughter without even the slightest hesitation, she understood that Eliana was Michael's pride and joy and that would always -- and should always -- be the most important thing.

Building a relationship with a mother type figure was so natural and easy for her, it's something Eliana will always be grateful for Bethany showing up at the right time. She became someone to talk to about her crushes, take her shopping for dresses for school formals and proms, and deal with the full spectrum of teenage emotions without blinking an eye. It's something she know she can never repay for being the mom she didn't need to be.

When she was twenty one she found herself in a relationship with a woman, her first relationship where she openly acknowledge her attraction to both women and men. It wasn't always easy but Emily was a special girl that knew how to make her smile during the hardest days as she was finishing up her degree at university. While her father and non-biological mother were supportive, it was around this time that her mother's biological family was attempting to reach and find her. After long talks with her father, he let her know why things had gone sideways, due to religious and conservative beliefs and he worried for her own safety.

All she gave them was a short phone call, and letting them know who she was in a relationship with, and she never heard from them again. It proved what she always knew, that piece of her wasn't missing. Emily and Eliana dated for a solid few years before parting ways. Eliana took the end of the relationship incredibly hard and moved from the apartment back in with her parents who were understanding and attempted to be there for the first person who broke her heart. After finishing her master degrees she kind of floated for a bit working 9-5 jobs before switching to 6-2pm jobs, spending those afternoons sitting on the beaches meditating and getting more in touch with who she was and wanted to be as a person.

It wasn't until Cory that she gave dating another chance. He was charming, handsome, and everything you could, and should, want in a partner, but something continued to hold her back afraid something or something would ruin a great, wonderful relationship with an amazing guy. So, Eliana this time walked away despite not really wanting to, thinking it was for the best. It broke her heart yet again, and she found herself back at her parents.

This time with her parents advice that maybe it was time for her to try something different. To go somewhere new and get a completely new start outside of San Diego. In the most free-spirited way you could expect out of Eliana she put up a map of the United States on the wall and threw a dart at it, landing on Merrock, Maine. A little town she had never heard of before and square on the other side of the country. With her parents last bit of encouragement she packed up a U-Haul and made her way from San Diego to the small, quiet town of Merrock and settled in.

Meeting Kennedy was one of the best people she first met when she moved to town, she was warm and welcoming to someone who didn't have a clue about anything about Merrock. She was someone like minded and a friendship blossomed, and that eventually turned into them talking about a business that eventually flourished. While she takes on a lot of the financial aspects of working on the books, she's as equally skilled working with people and party planning. For the first time she felt like she has a purpose and a job she loves and a life she's really beginning to feel like is starting to feel her own.

Sally Malik is a ghost that haunts the house that Josh and Aidan moved into. In life, Sally was vivacious, smart, funny and driven. In death, she's very much the same, though her early demise finds her floundering for answers.

Growing up, Sally was often forced to be tough and, as a result, didn't take a lot of flack. She was ambitious, with an eye set on working for the UN, or, at the very least, attending grad school. While in college, she fell in love with Danny, and they became engaged after graduation. They moved into the House, in spite of a tumultuous relationship. The crux of it came when Sally lost her engagement ring, a mistake that enraged Danny. He was convinced she was covering up infidelity, making excuses, and, in a fit of rage, pushed her down the stairs, and killed her.

Now, as a ghost, Sally's surprised - and elated - to discover that her new roommates, Aidan and Josh, can both see and hear her.

She remains a prisoner in the house, unsure how to actually leave it. She can't manipulate solid matter, and can't step outside. She's convinced she's in some kind of purgatory, but doesn't know why, or what to do about it. As a result, she's quick to remind her housemates that, at the very least, they're alive, and can enjoy even the little things (for instance: Josh might be depressed about going all "wolfy," but at least he can drink beer... or three).

Most of all, she wishes she could find her way back to Danny, unaware of what occurred between them in those crucial moments before her death.

Later in the season, Aidan introduces her to a ghost named Tony, who teaches her how to transport to different places, including locations outside of the house. Thanks to him, she's able to experience the outside world, after seven long months of being cooped up.

Invigorated by her new powers, Sally makes several attempts to communicate with Danny, but when she transports to his house, she encounters both him, and her best friend Bridget, talking and enjoying each others company. To make matters worse, the encounter she witnesses ends with a kiss.

Dejected, Sally is angered by Bridget moving in on Danny, taking her for an opportunist that's taking advantage of her former fiance in his moment of weakness. She's, similarly, angry with Danny for moving on so quickly, and does her best to sabotage the relationship. She eases from her anger, however, and comes to the conclusion that, for the sake of her own sanity, and those around her, the best course of action would be to communicate with Bridget, if only to say that she approves of the relationship.

Sally as an individual is vivacious and sardonic, frequently teasing and making witty remarks. Sally is also very much an extrovert, which made it very hard on her being able to see people but not being able to interact with them in anyway. As a result, she was overjoyed when Aidan and Josh moved in to her former home, and discovered they can perceive her being a vampire and werewolf respectively. Early on Sally was insecure, exacerbated by her amnesic inability to remember how she died. Upon discovering she was accidentally murdered by her possessive fiance, she became angry. The straw that broke the camel's back came upon the discovery that her former fiance felt no remorse over what he did, and had moved into another relationship so quickly. This caused a vindictive side of her personality to emerge, and began to torment her former fiance. After her former fiance was arrest and incarcerated for his crimes, Sally calmed down but it did not last. 

Consequent of wanting to hep Aidan kill his former mentor and creator Bishop, Sally reluctantly passed up her door to the after life. She became terrified that she had caused an upset in the status-quot, and would reap terrible consequences. After learning how to dream from a fellow ghost, Sally began to be haunted by a shadow man who called itself the reaper. The reaper took on a human like form claiming he either needed to reap her, or train her to be a reaper; Sally reluctantly choose the latter choice. It was latter revealed that the reaper was a secondary personality she had developed due to her fear. In order to kill the reaper Sally shredded herself. After being brought back to life Sally became her old self again. During this time Sally discovered a strength she never she had; resisting the urge to consume the flesh of the living and destroying the witch Donna.

Since gaining Donna's powers, Sally has become confident and even arrogant, as she is willing to carry on doing spells no matter the consequence and despite warnings from Aiden and Nora.

She was also fairly knowledgeable and quick to think on her feet as she was able to figure out that using the "Resurrection" spell on Aidan Waite will cure him and make him a human again.

Sally possesses all the same powers and characteristics that other ghosts do, though the limits of these are ill-defined, and it is not uncommon for Sally to learn to do something that she didn't know she could do before. She lost most of these powers after being reanimated (though she could still see ghosts), and regained them upon her second death. 

The first of her abilities was the ability to move herself from one place to another, appearing to disappear in a form of mist before reforming again elsewhere. While feeling trapped in the house during Season 1, Aiden brought another ghost to visit her, who began teaching her about moving herself. Once she discovered that she was able to leave the house again, she often moves herself to wherever Josh and Aiden are or to other places of notable meaning, such as her high school or the storage units where Josh and Nora turned.

The most notable of her ghostly powers was her ablility to shred other ghosts, sending them to, what other spirits called, Limbo. While she initially believed that it was the Reaper who was shredding ghosts, it later turned out that it was Sally herself, having developed a split personality without her knowledge. However, since her second death, she has yet to be seen using this ability. Though she has mentioned to Donna that she can still shred ghosts.

From her fight with Donna, she and Donna now share Donna's magic, beginning with just Sally being able to create and manipulate fire before being able to cast spells as advanced as a "Faerie Entrapment" spell and a spell to call Donna from their "Purgatory". After burning Donna's spellbook and sending Donna back, Sally then suddenly realizes she knows every spell that was in that book, even spells that she didn't even read and that she knows them all by heart. However, she cannot use magic when in the past.

She was also able to learn the "Resurrection" spell after only watching a group of witches use it to revive Donna in the past. While she was unable to use it on Robbie like she intended, she instead decided to use it on Aidan, reviving him and making him a human once again.

During her time in an alternate time line, she was scratched by Josh as a werewolf and was subsequently turned into a werewolf herself. However, this curse was lost upon her death.

The Artist grew up in the orphanage, having no idea why they turned into what they are. They were insecure about who they were, and so they lashed out at the other kids and at their caretakers. When they were old enough to start working and live on their own, they hoped that they would be able to start fresh, but their temper followed them and quickly made things harder. Their art is an escape from all of that. It is a safe outlet for them be exactly who they are and make something beautiful, even if a certain side of them is still ugly. They know they are good at what they do because everyone in Wonderland wants their art, yet still they have gotten their bad reputation. How can the Artist help it if people can be so needy and bossy and critical? They have always been one to speak their mind and they aren’t going to stop now.

The Blue Caterpillar: The Caterpillar wants to “fix” them. That’s what the Artist sees. When the Caterpillar offers their help, the Artist doesn’t take them seriously. The Artist knows what they are and what that means, and to hear someone else say it just makes it feel like something is wrong with them. Maybe there is, but who said the Caterpillar had the right to make that call? The Artist doesn’t plan on taking them on their offer any time soon.

The Hatter’s Apprentice: The Apprentice is probably the only person who understands what it means to be grasping at straws when it comes to your past, your family, your existence. Who? What? Why? How? It’s so exhausting how many questions have been left unanswered their entire life, but when they are with the Apprentice they finally get the chance to escape those thoughts and enjoy themselves. The Apprentice is just about the only person they trust to judge their art, too. They are the only one with good enough taste.

The Wild Willow: The Artist noticed a fire in the Willow when they first met. The Wild Willow was always trying to do right by their tribe, they never got the chance to relax. But as soon as the two set out on the town, that fire raged. The Willow is, by far, the most fun person the Artist knows, and the Artist wants to push them to see that. There is a whole world to explore and the Willow has seen so little of it, caused so little trouble for it... It’s about time that changed.
