The Bible (from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία, tà biblía, 'the books') is a collection of religious texts or scriptures that are held to be sacred in Christianity, Judaism, Samaritanism, and many other religions. The Bible is an anthology – a compilation of texts of a variety of forms – originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek. These texts include instructions, stories, poetry, and prophecies, among other genres. The collection of materials that are accepted as part of the Bible by a particular religious tradition or community is called a biblical canon. Believers in the Bible generally consider it to be a product of divine inspiration, but the way they understand what that means and interpret the text can vary.

The religious texts were compiled by different religious communities into various official collections. The earliest contained the first five books of the Bible. It is called the Torah in Hebrew and the Pentateuch (meaning five books) in Greek; the second oldest part was a collection of narrative histories and prophecies (the Nevi'im); the third collection (the Ketuvim) contains psalms, proverbs, and narrative histories. "Tanakh" is an alternate term for the Hebrew Bible composed of the first letters of those three parts of the Hebrew scriptures: the Torah ("Teaching"), the Nevi'im ("Prophets"), and the Ketuvim ("Writings"). The Masoretic Text is the medieval version of the Tanakh, in Hebrew and Aramaic, that is considered the authoritative text of the Hebrew Bible by modern Rabbinic Judaism. The Septuagint is a Koine Greek translation of the Tanakh from the third and second centuries BCE (Before Common Era); it largely overlaps with the Hebrew Bible.

Christianity began as an outgrowth of Judaism, using the Septuagint as the basis of the Old Testament. The early Church continued the Jewish tradition of writing and incorporating what it saw as inspired, authoritative religious books. The gospels, Pauline epistles and other texts quickly coalesced into the New Testament.

With estimated total sales of over five billion copies, the Bible is the best-selling publication of all time. It has had a profound influence both on Western culture and history and on cultures around the globe. The study of it through biblical criticism has indirectly impacted culture and history as well. The Bible is currently translated or being translated into about half of the world's languages.

Etymology

The term "Bible" can refer to the Hebrew Bible or the Christian Bible, which contains both the Old and New Testaments.[1]

The English word Bible is derived from Koinē Greek: τὰ βιβλία, romanized: ta biblia, meaning "the books" (singular βιβλίον, biblion).[2] The word βιβλίον itself had the literal meaning of "scroll" and came to be used as the ordinary word for "book".[3] It is the diminutive of βύβλος byblos, "Egyptian papyrus", possibly so called from the name of the Phoenician sea port Byblos (also known as Gebal) from whence Egyptian papyrus was exported to Greece.[4]

The Greek ta biblia ("the books") was "an expression Hellenistic Jews used to describe their sacred books".[5] The biblical scholar F. F. Bruce notes that John Chrysostom appears to be the first writer (in his Homilies on Matthew, delivered between 386 and 388) to use the Greek phrase ta biblia ("the books") to describe both the Old and New Testaments together.[6]

Latin biblia sacra "holy books" translates Greek τὰ βιβλία τὰ ἅγια (tà biblía tà hágia, "the holy books").[7] Medieval Latin biblia is short for biblia sacra "holy book". It gradually came to be regarded as a feminine singular noun (biblia, gen. bibliae) in medieval Latin, and so the word was loaned as singular into the vernaculars of Western Europe.[8]

The Bible is not a single book; it is a collection of books whose complex development is not completely understood. The oldest books began as songs and stories orally transmitted from generation to generation. Scholars are just beginning to explore "the interface between writing, performance, memorization, and the aural dimension" of the texts. Current indications are that the ancient writing–reading process was supplemented by memorization and oral performance in community.[9] The Bible was written and compiled by many people, most of whom are unknown, from a variety of disparate cultures.[10]

British biblical scholar John K. Riches wrote:[11]

The books of the Bible were initially written and copied by hand on papyrus scrolls.[12] No originals survive. The age of the original composition of the texts is therefore difficult to determine and heavily debated. Using a combined linguistic and historiographical approach, Hendel and Joosten date the oldest parts of the Hebrew Bible (the Song of Deborah in Judges 5 and the Samson story of Judges 16 and 1 Samuel) to having been composed in the premonarchial early Iron Age (c. 1200 BCE).[13] The Dead Sea Scrolls, discovered in the caves of Qumran in 1947, are copies that can be dated to between 250 BCE and 100 CE. They are the oldest existing copies of the books of the Hebrew Bible of any length that are not fragments.[14]

The earliest manuscripts were probably written in paleo-Hebrew, a kind of cuneiform pictograph similar to other pictographs of the same period.[15] The exile to Babylon most likely prompted the shift to square script (Aramaic) in the fifth to third centuries BCE.[16] From the time of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Hebrew Bible was written with spaces between words to aid in reading.[17] By the eighth century CE, the Masoretes added vowel signs.[18] Levites or scribes maintained the texts, and some texts were always treated as more authoritative than others.[19] Scribes preserved and changed the texts by changing the script and updating archaic forms while also making corrections. These Hebrew texts were copied with great care.[20]

Considered to be scriptures (sacred, authoritative religious texts), the books were compiled by different religious communities into various biblical canons (official collections of scriptures).[21] The earliest compilation, containing the first five books of the Bible and called the Torah (meaning "law", "instruction", or "teaching") or Pentateuch ("five books"), was accepted as Jewish canon by the fifth century BCE. A second collection of narrative histories and prophesies, called the Nevi'im ("prophets"), was canonized in the third century BCE. A third collection called the Ketuvim ("writings"), containing psalms, proverbs, and narrative histories, was canonized sometime between the second century BCE and the second century CE.[22] These three collections were written mostly in Biblical Hebrew, with some parts in Aramaic, which together form the Hebrew Bible or "TaNaKh" (an abbreviation of "Torah", "Nevi'im", and "Ketuvim").[23]

Hebrew Bible

There are three major historical versions of the Hebrew Bible: the Septuagint, the Masoretic Text, and the Samaritan Pentateuch (which contains only the first five books). They are related but do not share the same paths of development. The Septuagint, or the LXX, is a translation of the Hebrew scriptures, and some related texts, into Koine Greek, begun in Alexandria in the late third century BCE and completed by 132 BCE.[24][25][a] Probably commissioned by Ptolemy II Philadelphus, King of Egypt, it addressed the need of the primarily Greek-speaking Jews of the Graeco-Roman diaspora.[24][26] Existing complete copies of the Septuagint date from the third to the fifth centuries CE, with fragments dating back to the second century BCE. [27] Revision of its text began as far back as the first century BCE.[28] Fragments of the Septuagint were found among the Dead Sea Scrolls; portions of its text are also found on existing papyrus from Egypt dating to the second and first centuries BCE and to the first century CE.[28]: 5

The Masoretes began developing what would become the authoritative Hebrew and Aramaic text of the 24 books of the Hebrew Bible in Rabbinic Judaism near the end of the Talmudic period (c. 300–c. 500 CE), but the actual date is difficult to determine.[29][30][31] In the sixth and seventh centuries, three Jewish communities contributed systems for writing the precise letter-text, with its vocalization and accentuation known as the mas'sora (from which we derive the term "masoretic").[29] These early Masoretic scholars were based primarily in the Galilean cities of Tiberias and Jerusalem, and in Babylonia (modern Iraq). Those living in the Jewish community of Tiberias in ancient Galilee (c. 750–950), made scribal copies of the Hebrew Bible texts without a standard text, such as the Babylonian tradition had, to work from. The canonical pronunciation of the Hebrew Bible (called Tiberian Hebrew) that they developed, and many of the notes they made, therefore differed from the Babylonian.[32] These differences were resolved into a standard text called the Masoretic text in the ninth century.[33] The oldest complete copy still in existence is the Leningrad Codex dating to c. 1000 CE.[34]

The Samaritan Pentateuch is a version of the Torah maintained by the Samaritan community since antiquity, which was rediscovered by European scholars in the 17th century; its oldest existing copies date to c. 1100 CE.[35] Samaritans include only the Pentateuch (Torah) in their biblical canon.[36] They do not recognize divine authorship or inspiration in any other book in the Jewish Tanakh.[b] A Samaritan Book of Joshua partly based upon the Tanakh's Book of Joshua exists, but Samaritans regard it as a non-canonical secular historical chronicle.[37]

In the seventh century, the first codex form of the Hebrew Bible was produced. The codex is the forerunner of the modern book. Popularized by early Christians, it was made by folding a single sheet of papyrus in half, forming "pages". Assembling multiples of these folded pages together created a "book" that was more easily accessible and more portable than scrolls. In 1488, the first complete printed press version of the Hebrew Bible was produced.[38]

New Testament

During the rise of Christianity in the first century CE, new scriptures were written in Koine Greek. Christians called these new scriptures the "New Testament", and began referring to the Septuagint as the "Old Testament".[39] The New Testament has been preserved in more manuscripts than any other ancient work.[40][41] Most early Christian copyists were not trained scribes.[42] Many copies of the gospels and Paul's letters were made by individual Christians over a relatively short period of time very soon after the originals were written.[43] There is evidence in the Synoptic Gospels, in the writings of the early church fathers, from Marcion, and in the Didache that Christian documents were in circulation before the end of the first century.[44][45] Paul's letters were circulated during his lifetime, and his death is thought to have occurred before 68 during Nero's reign.[46][47] Early Christians transported these writings around the Empire, translating them into Old Syriac, Coptic, Ethiopic, and Latin, among other languages.[48]

Bart Ehrman explains how these multiple texts later became grouped by scholars into categories:

during the early centuries of the church, Christian texts were copied in whatever location they were written or taken to. Since texts were copied locally, it is no surprise that different localities developed different kinds of textual tradition. That is to say, the manuscripts in Rome had many of the same errors, because they were for the most part "in-house" documents, copied from one another; they were not influenced much by manuscripts being copied in Palestine; and those in Palestine took on their own characteristics, which were not the same as those found in a place like Alexandria, Egypt. Moreover, in the early centuries of the church, some locales had better scribes than others. Modern scholars have come to recognize that the scribes in Alexandria – which was a major intellectual center in the ancient world – were particularly scrupulous, even in these early centuries, and that there, in Alexandria, a very pure form of the text of the early Christian writings was preserved, decade after decade, by dedicated and relatively skilled Christian scribes.[49]

These differing histories produced what modern scholars refer to as recognizable "text types". The four most commonly recognized are Alexandrian, Western, Caesarean, and Byzantine.[50]

The Rylands fragment P52 verso is the oldest existing fragment of New Testament papyrus.[51] It contains phrases from the 18th chapter of the Gospel of John.

The list of books included in the Catholic Bible was established as canon by the Council of Rome in 382, followed by those of Hippo in 393 and Carthage in 397. Between 385 and 405 CE, the early Christian church translated its canon into Vulgar Latin (the common Latin spoken by ordinary people), a translation known as the Vulgate.[52] Since then, Catholic Christians have held ecumenical councils to standardize their biblical canon. The Council of Trent (1545–63), held by the Catholic Church in response to the Protestant Reformation, authorized the Vulgate as its official Latin translation of the Bible.[53] A number of biblical canons have since evolved. Christian biblical canons range from the 73 books of the Catholic Church canon, and the 66-book canon of most Protestant denominations, to the 81 books of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church canon, among others.[54] Judaism has long accepted a single authoritative text, whereas Christianity has never had an official version, instead having many different manuscript traditions.[55]

Variants

All biblical texts were treated with reverence and care by those that copied them, yet there are transmission errors, called variants, in all biblical manuscripts.[56][57] A variant is any deviation between two texts. Textual critic Daniel B. Wallace explains that "Each deviation counts as one variant, regardless of how many MSS [manuscripts] attest to it."[58] Hebrew scholar Emanuel Tov says the term is not evaluative; it is a recognition that the paths of development of different texts have separated.[59]

Medieval handwritten manuscripts of the Hebrew Bible were considered extremely precise: the most authoritative documents from which to copy other texts.[60] Even so, David Carr asserts that Hebrew texts still contain some variants.[61] The majority of all variants are accidental, such as spelling errors, but some changes were intentional.[62] In the Hebrew text, "memory variants" are generally accidental differences evidenced by such things as the shift in word order found in 1 Chronicles 17:24 and 2 Samuel 10:9 and 13. Variants also include the substitution of lexical equivalents, semantic and grammar differences, and larger scale shifts in order, with some major revisions of the Masoretic texts that must have been intentional.[63]

Intentional changes in New Testament texts were made to improve grammar, eliminate discrepancies, harmonize parallel passages, combine and simplify multiple variant readings into one, and for theological reasons.[62][64] Bruce K. Waltke observes that one variant for every ten words was noted in the recent critical edition of the Hebrew Bible, the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, leaving 90% of the Hebrew text without variation. The fourth edition of the United Bible Society's Greek New Testament notes variants affecting about 500 out of 6900 words, or about 7% of the text.[65]

The narratives, laws, wisdom sayings, parables, and unique genres of the Bible provide opportunity for discussion on most topics of concern to human beings: The role of women,[66]: 203 sex,[67] children, marriage,[68] neighbors,[69]: 24 friends, the nature of authority and the sharing of power,[70]: 45–48 animals, trees and nature,[71]: xi money and economics,[72]: 77 work, relationships,[73] sorrow and despair and the nature of joy, among others.[74] Philosopher and ethicist Jaco Gericke adds: "The meaning of good and evil, the nature of right and wrong, criteria for moral discernment, valid sources of morality, the origin and acquisition of moral beliefs, the ontological status of moral norms, moral authority, cultural pluralism, [as well as] axiological and aesthetic assumptions about the nature of value and beauty. These are all implicit in the texts."[75]

However, discerning the themes of some biblical texts can be problematic.[76] Much of the Bible is in narrative form and in general, biblical narrative refrains from any kind of direct instruction, and in some texts the author's intent is not easy to decipher.[77] It is left to the reader to determine good and bad, right and wrong, and the path to understanding and practice is rarely straightforward.[78] God is sometimes portrayed as having a role in the plot, but more often there is little about God's reaction to events, and no mention at all of approval or disapproval of what the characters have done or failed to do.[79] The writer makes no comment, and the reader is left to infer what they will.[79] Jewish philosophers Shalom Carmy and David Schatz explain that the Bible "often juxtaposes contradictory ideas, without explanation or apology".[80]

The Hebrew Bible contains assumptions about the nature of knowledge, belief, truth, interpretation, understanding and cognitive processes.[81] Ethicist Michael V. Fox writes that the primary axiom of the book of Proverbs is that "the exercise of the human mind is the necessary and sufficient condition of right and successful behavior in all reaches of life".[82] The Bible teaches the nature of valid arguments, the nature and power of language, and its relation to reality.[75] According to Mittleman, the Bible provides patterns of moral reasoning that focus on conduct and character.[83][84]

In the biblical metaphysic, humans have free will, but it is a relative and restricted freedom.[85] Beach says that Christian voluntarism points to the will as the core of the self, and that within human nature, "the core of who we are is defined by what we love".[86] Natural law is in the Wisdom literature, the Prophets, Romans 1, Acts 17, and the book of Amos (Amos 1:3–2:5), where nations other than Israel are held accountable for their ethical decisions even though they don't know the Hebrew god.[87] Political theorist Michael Walzer finds politics in the Hebrew Bible in covenant, law, and prophecy, which constitute an early form of almost democratic political ethics.[88] Key elements in biblical criminal justice begin with the belief in God as the source of justice and the judge of all, including those administering justice on earth.[89]

Carmy and Schatz say the Bible "depicts the character of God, presents an account of creation, posits a metaphysics of divine providence and divine intervention, suggests a basis for morality, discusses many features of human nature, and frequently poses the notorious conundrum of how God can allow evil."[90]

The authoritative Hebrew Bible is taken from the masoretic text (called the Leningrad Codex) which dates from 1008. The Hebrew Bible can therefore sometimes be referred to as the Masoretic Text.[91]

The Hebrew Bible is also known by the name Tanakh (Hebrew: תנ"ך‎). This reflects the threefold division of the Hebrew scriptures, Torah ("Teaching"), Nevi'im ("Prophets") and Ketuvim ("Writings") by using the first letters of each word.[92] It is not until the Babylonian Talmud (c. 550 BCE) that a listing of the contents of these three divisions of scripture are found.[93]

The Tanakh was mainly written in Biblical Hebrew, with some small portions (Ezra 4:8–6:18 and 7:12–26, Jeremiah 10:11, Daniel 2:4–7:28)[94] written in Biblical Aramaic, a language which had become the lingua franca for much of the Semitic world.[95]

A Christian Bible is a set of books divided into the Old and New Testament that a Christian denomination has, at some point in their past or present, regarded as divinely inspired scripture by the holy spirit.[136] The Early Church primarily used the Septuagint, as it was written in Greek, the common tongue of the day, or they used the Targums among Aramaic speakers. Modern English translations of the Old Testament section of the Christian Bible are based on the Masoretic Text.[34] The Pauline epistles and the gospels were soon added, along with other writings, as the New Testament.[137]

The Old Testament has been important to the life of the Christian church from its earliest days. Bible scholar N.T. Wright says "Jesus himself was profoundly shaped by the scriptures."[138] Wright adds that the earliest Christians searched those same Hebrew scriptures in their effort to understand the earthly life of Jesus. They regarded the "holy writings" of the Israelites as necessary and instructive for the Christian, as seen from Paul's words to Timothy (2 Timothy 3:15), as pointing to the Messiah, and as having reached a climactic fulfillment in Jesus generating the "new covenant" prophesied by Jeremiah.[139]

The Protestant Old Testament of the twenty-first century has a 39-book canon – the number of books (although not the content) varies from the Jewish Tanakh only because of a different method of division. The term "Hebrew scriptures" is often used as being synonymous with the Protestant Old Testament, since the surviving scriptures in Hebrew include only those books.

However, the Roman Catholic Church recognizes 46 books as its Old Testament (45 if Jeremiah and Lamentations are counted as one),[140] and the Eastern Orthodox Churches recognize 6 additional books. These additions are also included in the Syriac versions of the Bible called the Peshitta and the Ethiopian Bible.[l][m][n]

Because the canon of Scripture is distinct for Jews, Orthodox Christians, Roman Catholics, and Protestants, the contents of each community's Apocrypha are unique, as is its usage of the term. For Jews, none of the apocryphal books are considered canonical. Catholics refer to this collection as "Deuterocanonical books" (second canon) and the Orthodox Church refers to them as "Anagignoskomena" (that which is read).[141] [o]

Books included in the Roman Catholic, Greek, and Slavonic Bibles are: Tobit, Judith, Greek Additions to Esther, the Wisdom of Solomon, Sirach (or Ecclesiasticus), Baruch, the Letter of Jeremiah (also called the Baruch Chapter 6), the Greek Additions to Daniel, along with 1 Maccabees and 2 Maccabees.[142]

The Greek Orthodox Church, and the Slavonic churches (Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia) also add:[143]

2 Esdras (4 Ezra) and the Prayer of Manasseh are not in the Septuagint, and 2 Esdras does not exist in Greek, though it does exist in Latin. There is also 4 Maccabees which is only accepted as canonical in the Georgian Church. It is in an appendix to the Greek Orthodox Bible, and it is therefore sometimes included in collections of the Apocrypha.[144]

The Ethiopian Old Testament Canon uses Enoch and Jubilees (that only survived in Ge'ez), 1–3 Meqabyan, Greek Ezra and the Apocalypse of Ezra, and Psalm 151.[n][l]

The Revised Common Lectionary of the Lutheran Church, Moravian Church, Reformed Churches, Anglican Church and Methodist Church uses the apocryphal books liturgically, with alternative Old Testament readings available.[p] Therefore, editions of the Bible intended for use in the Lutheran Church and Anglican Church include the fourteen books of the Apocrypha, many of which are the deuterocanonical books accepted by the Catholic Church, plus 1 Esdras, 2 Esdras and the Prayer of Manasseh, which were in the Vulgate appendix.[147]

The Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches use most of the books of the Septuagint, while Protestant churches usually do not. After the Protestant Reformation, many Protestant Bibles began to follow the Jewish canon and exclude the additional texts, which came to be called apocryphal. Who is the False Prophet of Revelation?

Binary Patterns

The Bible often uses binary patterns by introducing two important figures who turn out to be one single individual. For example, a binary pattern can be seen in the Old Testament’s (OT) presentation of the two Messiahs in Judaism: one is a high priest, the other is an anointed king of the Davidic line (cf. Zech. 4:14). The two Messiahs can also be found in the Apocryphal literature, such as in the Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs and the Damascus Covenant. However, in the New Testament (NT), these two Messiahs are morphed into one priestly/kingly figure: Jesus, the Son of God (cf. Heb. 4:14 and Mt. 2:1–2).

The same is true of the two witnesses in the NT. In order to understand the identity of the two witnesses in Rev. 11:3-12, we must first trace them back to the Hebrew Bible from which they emerge (Zech. 4:14). So when we trace the identity of the two witnesses back to the OT and the context in which they appear, we find that they represent the two Messiahs of Rabbinic Judaism. But these two figures later became coalesced, commingled into one, in the figure of Jesus Christ, who’s given the titles of king and high priest in the order of Melchizedek, who is also a king and priest (Heb. 7:13-17). Therefore, the two witnesses appear to represent the coming Messiah: Jesus Christ (cf. Mal. 4:5; Rev. 6:2)!

The Earth & the Sea

First Jn 5:6 uses the symbols of “water and blood” to represent the divinity and humanity of Jesus, thus indicating that he’s both God and man. The “water” symbolizes the divinity of Jesus, while the blood symbolizes his humanity. Thus, water symbolizes the spirit, while blood symbolizes the flesh.

Now let’s look at the serpent of Gen. 3, which is later identified as the devil or Satan, who is also known as “the great dragon.” Revelation 12:9 says that he will be incarnated on earth:

“And the great dragon was thrown down,

that ancient serpent, who is called the devil

and Satan, the deceiver of the whole

world—he was thrown down to the earth,

and his angels were thrown down with him.”

Isaiah 27:1 alludes to the “the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12) by portraying their ruler (i.e. the serpent/dragon) as residing “in the sea”:

“In that day the LORD with his hard and

great and strong sword will punish

Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the

twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon

that is in the sea.”

Just as 1 Jn 5:6 uses the symbols of “water and blood” to represent the spiritual and human domains, so the description of the two Beasts in Rev. 13—-one “rising out of the sea,” the other “out of the earth”——may be used in a similar fashion to describe the spiritual and earthly realms, respectively. In other words, the reference may be to a single individual who possesses two natures: a human & a spiritual one. Let’s not forget that in heaven, within the Throne Room of God, a sea is explicitly mentioned in Rev. 4:6 (cf. Gen. 1:7).

The Unholy Trinity

According to Rev. 13:4, the whole world “worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast” (i.e. the Antichrist). Yet notice that the second Beast (i.e. the False Prophet), who came out of the earth mimicked Christ because he “had two horns like a lamb … [but] spoke like a dragon” (Rev. 13:11). The point is that just as the two messiahs and the two witnesses represent one person, so the False prophet and the Antichrist may be one and the same person as well. The Book of Daniel doesn’t mention two Antichrists but rather one, namely, the “little horn” (Dan. 7:8; 8:9-12).

First Jn 4:1 associates false prophets with unclean spirits which have been unleashed in the world. Rev. 16:13 reads:

“And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the

dragon and out of the mouth of the beast

and out of the mouth of the false prophet,

three unclean spirits like frogs.”

The Dragon, the Beast, and the False prophet seemingly represent an unholy Trinity in which these three persons are one being, just like the Holy Trinity represents one being, not a plurality of beings. The Devil, the Beast, and the False prophet appear to be three manifestations or three modes that represent Satan, his spirit, and his incarnation.

False prophets in the OT

Surprisingly, we don’t find the phrase “false prophet” in the OT, but there are nevertheless references to many false prophets. The Septuagint (LXX) talks about the priests and the false prophets (ἱερεῖς καὶ ψευδοπροφῆται), and often links them together. The term ἱερεύς in this context refers to a priest, one who offers sacrifices to a god, an idol, or an evil spirit. So the LXX suggests that the false prophets are priestly insofar as they encourage the worship of idols (cf. Zech 13:2). Jeremiah 34:9-10 (LXX) associates false prophets with divination, enchantments, clairvoyance, dreams, sorceries, and with lies. Similarly, in the NT, false prophets are magicians, sorcerers, & illusionists (cf. Acts 13:6). This is reminiscent of 2 Thess. 2:9-11 in which the Antichrist “will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie.” Likewise, in the Hebrew Bible, the false prophets are prophesying lying wonders and working miracles (see Exod. 7:8-13; Jer. 6:13). In the NT, they even rise from the dead (Rev. 13:3) and perform “great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth” (Rev. 13:13) in order to deceive if possible even the elect (Mt. 24:24).

False Prophets in the NT

Both Mt. 7:15 & Mt. 24:11 warn that there will be many false prophets (ψευδοπροφῆται) who will deceive the world. Matthew 24:24 speaks of false Christs (ψευδόχριστοι) and false prophets who perform “great signs and wonders.” Second Pet. 2:1 associates false prophets with false teachers who secretly introduce destructive heresies, even those that deny Jesus’ lordship. Similarly, 1 Jn warns of deception and commands Christians to “test the spirits to see whether they are of God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world. … This is the spirit of antichrist” (1 Jn 4:1–3). Thus, false prophets have the spirit of Antichrist. The apostle Paul calls them “false apostles” (2 Cor. 11:13) and “false brothers” (Gal. 2:4).

The most notorious false prophet in the Bible is the one referenced in the Book of Revelation. In Rev. 19:20, the signs that the False prophet performs in the presence of the Antichrist may be analogous to the signs that Jesus performs in the presence of the Holy Spirit who anoints him with power (see Lk 4:18; Acts 10:38). In fact, the relationship between the False prophet and the Antichrist seems to be analogous to the relationship between the first and second person of the Trinity in which the Word is not only with God but the Word is God, meaning that the Word & God are one and the same (see Jn 1:1). Thus, the reference to the Devil, his son (the Antichrist), and the unclean spirit (personified in the figure of the False prophet) may signify an unholy trinity of three persons who nevertheless share one being (Rev. 16:13). Let’s not forget that the great dragon——“that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan”——is thrown down to the earth and takes the form of a man, as mentioned in Rev. 12:9. And just as Jesus, who is God incarnate, is called a prophet in Mt. 21:11, so the dragon, or Satan incarnate, may be dubbed the False prophet in Rev. 16:13. Matthew 7:15 warns of false prophets who come in “sheep’s clothing,” but who are “ferocious wolves.” This is echoed in Rev. 13:11 where the second Beast (False prophet) looks like a lamb but speaks like a dragon.

Conclusion

Curiously enough, it’s the False prophet who works miracles, not the Antichrist. But if the Antichrist is far more important, and if the False prophet is subordinate to the Antichrist, surely the Antichrist must have more power than him. Yet, in the Bible, the opposite seems true, which doesn’t make any sense. That’s why it seems far more plausible that they are one and the same person, just like the two witnesses and the two OT messiahs are one and the same person. So, the reference to the two beasts from the earth and the sea may be an allusion to a single individual who possesses two natures: a human & a spiritual one. Therefore, it seems far more plausible to assume that the False Prophet is the Antichrist, who is also known by many other titles, such as “the man of lawlessness,” “the son of destruction” (2 Thess. 2:3), and the "Little horn" (Daniel 7:8, 20; 8:9-12, 23-26)!

Que veux-tu dire par-là? Que je ne devrais pas te réveiller ? Pendant que ta maison est entrain de brûler? Oh! C'est vraiment sérieux ! Tout droit devant tes yeux, une Femme Britannique a épousé un chien, et rien ne te dérange ?

Le mariage homosexuel est légal dans presque tous les pays du monde entier, et tu dis que je ne devrais pas te réveiller ?

Les jeunes filles enfantent dès l'âge de 13, sans connaître les auteurs des grossesses, et tu dis : << NE ME REVEILLEZ PAS.>>

Un homme a enceinté sa propre fille, et tu ne trouve rien de mal en cela?

Les hommes préfèrent avoir des relations sexuelles avec des animaux ou avec des objets artificiels, et tu as toujours sommeil?

Les hommes accouchent dans leur masculinité, les femmes allaitent des animaux, les médecins couchent avec leurs patients souffrants, une femme a épousé son propre fils, l'éducation sexuelle anale a été introduites dans nos institutions, la fraude numérique et le SCAM sont devenus monnaie courante au sein de la jeunesse.

Viens à l'église et tu pleureras. Les Pasteurs couchent avec les membres de l'église et leur promettent le ciel pendant qu'ils vivent comme dans l'enfer.

Les Politiciens occupent les postes les plus élevés à l'église.

Les membres de l'église touchent la masculinité des prophètes pour être guéris.

Certains mangent de l'herbe verte juste pour que le miracle se produise dans leurs vies. D'autres embrassent des idoles et se prosternent devant l'image du Pape comme devant un dieu.

Beaucoup aussi voient leurs Bergers comme des dieux. << Semez et le Seigneur vous bénira>>. C'est ainsi qu'ils dérobent les membres de leurs églises.

Ils enseignent aux pécheurs la FOI et la PRIÈRE, sans SALUT ni SANCTIFICATION, les Services d'Onction sans Rédemption ni Purification du Pécher.

Les Combats Spirituels de Minuit avec la HAINE et la RANCUNE dans les cœurs.

Les services dans la Chorale avec du rouge-à-lèvre sur les lèvres.

Le RÉVEIL sans SAINTETÉ. Et après l'église ils partent dans les maquis pour s'égayer. Après le service dans la Chorale, ils partent coucher avec leurs partenaires qui vivent dans le péché.

Le FLIRT est une pratique courante au sein de la jeunesse. Les Coordonnateurs de la Jeunesse ont transformé les jeunes en esclaves sexuels. Les gens commettent l'avortement et vont chanter << Tu m'as tellement élevé que je peux me dresser sur une montagne>> 🎶🎶🎶

Les femmes cousent maintenant leurs habits avec le dos dehors, et quand tu attires leur attention, elles répondent : << je suis au courant >>

Elles s'habillent dans la légèreté et sont heureuses. Pas de doute, la Bible dit que leur justice comme est une justice de honte.

Tu as menti, et je t'ai corrigé, tu dis : << Ne juge pas >> .

Tu pratiques la fornication et je t'ai fait le reproche, tu dis : << Ne me juge pas >>

Tu te dépigmentes, et je t'ai dit que c'est un péché, et tu dis: Dieu regarde le cœur.

Le jugement de Dieu est proche et tu dis : << NE ME RÉVEILLE PAS>>

a) QUAND VAS-TU TE RÉVEILLER DE TON SOMMEIL ?

b) QUAND VAS-TU TE REPENTIR ?

c) QUAND VAS-TU ACCEPTER LA CORRECTION FRATERNELLE ?

d) QUAND VAS-TU T'HABILLER COMME UNE FEMME ?

e) QUAND VAS-TU CESSER DE VISIONNER LES FILMS PORNOGRAPHIQUES ?

f) QUAND VAS-TU CESSER DE FAIRE LA COUR AUX FEMMES ?

g) LE SEIGNEUR EST SUR LE POINT DE REVENIR. COMMENT T'Y PRÉPARES-TU?

C'EST POURQUOI L'ÉCRITURE TE DIT: RÉVEILLE-TOI, TOI QUI DORS, RELÈVE-TOI D'ENTRE LES MORTS, ET CHRIST T'ÉCLAIRERA (Éphesiens 5:14).

Il - LA SIMILITUDE AVEC L'ÉPOQUE DE NOÉ:

GENÈSE 6:5-8 l'Éternel vit que la méchanceté des hommes était grande sur la terre, et toutes les pensées de leur coeur se portaient chaque jour uniquement vers le mal. l'Éternel se repentit d'avoir fait l'homme sur la terre, et il fut affligé en son coeur. Et l'Éternel dit: J'exterminerai de la face de la terre l'homme que j'ai crée, depuis l'homme jusqu'au bétail, aux reptiles, et aux oiseaux du ciel; car je me repens de les avoir faits. Mais Noé trouva grâce aux yeux de l'Éternel.

Une lecture de la parole de Dieu dans Genèse, aux chapitres 6 et 7, nous explique, à un moment de l'histoire, comment les agissements des humains qui vivaient dans la MÉCHANCETÉ et la DÉSOLATION totale, avaient mis l'Éternel dans une telle colère, et attristé son coeur, qu'il s'était repenti d'avoir crée l'homme.

Il se résolut d'exterminer de la surface de la terre toute vie, en faisant venir un déluge. Mais, un homme, Noé, trouva grâce à ses yeux. Il lui fut demandé de construire une ARCHE, qui devait les préserver du déluge, sa famille et lui.

Si Noé trouva grâce aux yeux de l'Éternel, c'est qu'il menait une vie qui lui était AGRÉABLE, contrairement à ses contemporains qui vivaient dans la désolation. On peut même imaginer la RISÉE et les MOQUERIES dont il pouvait faire l'objet de la part d'eux, lorsqu'il leur annonça le projet de construction de l'Arche.

Le contexte du temps de Noé est comparable à celui dans lequel nous vivons présentement, à l'échelle mondiale : le sang innocent versé, l'injustice sociale, la mal-gouvernance, l'immoralité sexuelle et la bestialité, l'idolâtrie, les droits des pauvres foulés au pied, bref la MÉCHANCETÉ dans toutes ses formes. Toutes ces choses sont de nature à attrister le coeur de Dieu.

1) Dans un sens spirituel, NOÉ est une préfiguration des HOMMES et des FEMMES de Dieu d'aujourd'hui, qui se battent pour tirer la SONNETTE D'ALARME, afin que l'humanité ne périsse pas, face à la colère de Dieu qui doit incessamment s'abattre sur le monde.

Malheureusement, ils sont incompris, méprisés, humiliés, ridiculisés, considérés comme des marginalisés de la société, combattus, persécutés, et d'autres même perdent leurs vies.

LEUR SEUL TORT: AVOIR ACCEPTÉ D'ÊTRE DES DISCIPLES DE JÉSUS CHRIST AFIN D'ANNONCER GRATUITEMENT L'ÉVANGILE À LA MULTITUDE.

2) Les CONTEMPORAINS DE NOÉ représentent ceux à qui est annoncée la bonne nouvelle et qui s'en moquent.

L'Écriture déclare que dans les derniers jours, il viendra des moqueurs, avec leurs railleries, marchant selon leurs propres convoitises, et disant (parlant du Seigneur JÉSUS CHRIST): où est la promesse de son avènement? Car, depuis que les pères sont morts, tout demeure comme dès le commencement de la création....

Le Seigneur ne tarde pas dans l'accomplissement de la promesse, comme quelques-uns le croient; mais il use de patience envers vous, ne voulant pas qu'aucun périsse, mais voulant que tous arrivent à la repentance ( 2 PIERRE 3:3-9).

3) Le DÉLUGE représente la fin du monde.

4) L'ARCHE représente le Seigneur JÉSUS CHRIST. Il l'a bien dit: << Je suis le chemin, la vérité et la vie. Nul ne vient au Père que par moi>> (Jean 14:6). Il n'est pas ''un chemin '' mais il est ''le chemin ''. Il n'existe qu'un seul intercesseur entre Dieu et les hommes, JÉSUS CHRIST homme.

👍 Lequel des prophètes est appelé Parole de Dieu, si ce n'est Jésus Christ? (Sourate 19:34 et Jean 1:1-20).

👍 Lequel des prophètes a son NOM qui guérit les malades, libère des actions des démons, si ce n'est JÉSUS CHRIST, sur tous les continents? (Matthieu 8:16 et Marc 16:17)

👍 Lequel des prophètes peut promettre le paradis à quelqu'un sur la terre, de son vivant, si ce n'est JÉSUS CHRIST? (Luc 23:43 et Jean 3:16).

👍 Lequel des prophètes peut pardonner les péchés des hommes sur terre avec preuve, si ce n'est JÉSUS CHRIST (Marc 2:1-12).

👍 Lequel des prophètes reviendra à la fin des temps combattre l'Antéchrist, si ce n'est JÉSUS CHRIST (Selon les hadiths authentiques de l'Islam, Actes 1:9-11, Apocalypse 22:6-7).

👍 JÉSUS CHRIST est plus qu'un prophète venu pour les autres, il est la main de Dieu qui retire l'homme de la boue, le nettoie et le place sur le trône. Il est le seul qui peut te donner le paradis que tu recherches tant dans ta religion.

Frères et soeurs, JÉSUS CHRIST vous aime tous, venez à lui maintenant.

De quel côté voulez-vous être? Du côté de Noé et de sa famille, sauvés des eaux du déluge, ou du côté des contemporains de Noé, emportés par les eaux du déluge?

♥️♥️♥️ Entrez dans l'Arche de la vie éternelle, en donnant vos vies à JÉSUS-CHRIST, vous et vos familles, et vous serez sauvés. Aujourd'hui encore, si vous entendez sa voix, n'endurcissez pas vos cœurs. Rachetons le temps, car les jours sont mauvais. La mort est imprévisible. Aujourd'hui sur terre, demain sous terre, tout est vanité dans ce monde, et poursuite du vent.

III- ATTENTION, L'ANTÉCHRIST EST À NOS PORTES : QUE CHACUN REDRESSE LA TÊTE

1 JEAN 2:18 Petits enfants, c'est la dernière heure, et comme vous avez appris qu'un antéchrist vient, il y'a maintenant plusieurs antéchrists : Par là nous connaissons que c'est la dernière heure.

1-TROIS CARACTÉRISTIQUES DES ENFANTS DE PERDITION

Jésus Christ, notre Seigneur et notre Sauveur, avait douze disciples, et l'un d'eux était un ENFANT DE PERDITION. Ainsi tous les Chrétiens doivent savoir qu'il y'a beaucoup d'enfants de perdition parmi eux.

Il est important d'expliquer qui sont les ENFANTS DE PERDITION selon ce que Jésus Christ avait dit en Jean 17:12. Voici ce qu'il avait dit: '' Lorsque j'étais avec eux dans le monde, je les gardais en ton nom. J'ai gardé ceux que tu m'as donnés, et aucun d'eux ne s'est perdu, sinon le FILS DE PERDITION ''.

Ainsi les enfants de perdition sont ceux qui ont décidé de se jeter dans la DESTRUCTION, aux derniers jours, et il n'ya rien qu'on puisse faire. La question qui se pose maintenant est la suivante : Si notre Seigneur avait douze disciples, et que l'un d'eux était un enfant de perdition, quelles sont les chances que les Chrétiens n'aient pas d'enfants de perdition parmi des centaines de millions d'eux? Aucune ! Le mieux est, pour tout Chrétien, de les ÉVITER, lorsqu'il constate une des caractéristiques sur eux, selon ce qui est écrit en 1 Corinthiens 5:11 ''Maintenant, ce que je vous ai écrit, c'est de ne pas avoir de relations avec quelqu'un qui, se nommant frère, est impudique, ou cupide, ou idolâtre, ou outrageux, ou ivrogne, ou ravisseur, de ne même pas manger avec un tel homme ''.

Les Caractéristiques des Enfants de Perdition sont les suivantes :

a) CE SONT DES IMPOSTEURS TRÈS DANGEREUX QUI SE FONT PASSER POUR CE QU'ILS NE SONT PAS.

Jésus Christ avait dit ceci en Matthieu 7:15 : '' Gardez-vous des faux - prophètes. Ils viennent à vous en vêtement de brebis, mais au dedans ce sont des LOUPS RAVISSEURS. '' Il avait aussi dit en Matthieu 10:16 : '' Voici, je vous envoie comme des brebis au milieu des LOUPS. Soyez donc PRUDENTS comme les serpents, et simples comme des COLOMBES. ''

b) CE SONT DES SÉDUCTEURS, CAR ÉTANT EUX-MÊMES SÉDUITS:

Étant donné qu'ils sont possédés par l'esprit de l'Antéchrist, qui les a conçus, comme Juda avait été conçu pour trahir JÉSUS, non seulement ils croient aux mensonges, mais aussi ils nourrissent d'autres personnes avec des mensonges. Ils aiment se comporter comme des INSTRUCTEURS, avant de séduire d'autres personnes. La Bible dit en 2 Timothée 3:13 '' Mais les hommes méchants et imposteurs avanceront toujours plus dans le mal, égarant les autres et égarés eux-mêmes.''

Lisez ce témoignage d'un jeune Serviteur de Dieu accosté par ces Malfrats Spirituels :

« Un jour un groupe "d'hommes de Dieu" m'a invité à un programme et après ce programme ils se sont approchés de moi et m'ont demandé ceci : " As-tu une église à toi? Qui est ton Père Spirituel? Est ce qu'il te donne de l'argent? Est ce que tu exerces puissamment dans la voyance ? etc... Vraiment nous te suivons depuis un bon moment sur Facebook, tu es un jeune qui a une forte grâce de Dieu, avec qui Dieu va aller très loin et faire de grandes choses, mais nous allons t'aider à avoir ton église avec beaucoup de fidèles, tu vas voyager, tu vas rouler dans de grosses voitures, avoir la maison que tu veux, tu seras très aigü dans la voyance car c'est ça qui prend beaucoup aujourd'hui... Imagines-toi un peu, tu es jeune et puis tu as tout ça, est-ce que ce n'est pas bon? Qui va savoir ce que tu as fait ? Nous allons t'envoyer chez notre gourou qui va faire le travail pour toi » .

c) ILS NE SONT PAS ENSEIGNABLES CAR ÉTANT FIERS D'EUX-MÊMES ET CARRÉS DANS LA TÊTE.

Ils pensent toujours qu'ils ont raison, même si vous les renvoyez aux passages Bibliques qui prouvent qu'ils ont tort. La Bible dit en Proverbes 16:18, '' L'arrogance précède la ruine, et l'orgueil précède la chute.

Quand Jésus parlait à Pierre en Luc 22:31-32, il disait : Simon, Simon ! Satan vous a réclamés, pour vous cribler comme le froment. Mais J'ai prié pour toi afin que ta foi ne défaille point; et toi, quand tu seras converti, affermis tes frères.

Ce message est un message de la Grâce Divine pour vous affermir dans la foi.

Je prie et je prophétise que toute personne qui lira ce message ne sera pas sur la liste des Enfants de Perdition, au nom de Jésus Christ.

Je prie et je prophétise que toute personne qui lira ce message aura les yeux ouvert sur l'Évangile AUTHENTIQUE de Jésus Christ, pour le communiquer à son prochain, dans le nom de Jésus Christ. Amen.

2) 5 CARACTÉRISTIQUES DES ÉGLISES MORTES (LES FAUSSES ÉGLISES).

a) Elles ont beaucoup de Programmes, beaucoup d'Activités, font beaucoup de Musique bruyante, etc. Tout ceci n'est qu'une Couverture, un Camouflage, pour se déguiser.

Adam, le premier Homme, détenait un Ministère plus glorieux que tout autre Ministère sur terre, c'était le jardin d'Éden.

Dieu lui confia une grande AUTORITÉ sur toutes les œuvres de ses mains (Genèse 1:27-28), et aussi une FEUILLE DE ROUTE BIEN CLAIRE pour la Gestion de son Ministère. (Genèse 2:15).

Après la Chute de l'homme dans le jardin d'Éden, à la suite du péché, la Bible dit qu'Adam et Ève se virent tous deux tels qu'ils étaient, c'est-à-dire NUS. Ils attachèrent ensemble des feuilles de figuiers, et ils en firent chacun une sorte de pagne, pour cacher leur NUDITÉ. (Genèse 3:7). Et c'est ce que font beaucoup de Ministères Chrétiens aujourd'hui.

Tous ces Multiples Programmes, ces Activités, ces Séminaires, ces Musiques Bruyantes, etc, dans ces Ministères servent en réalité à couvrir leur HONTE. puisqu'ils n'ont rien à proposer aux gens. Ce sont ce que j'appellerai des Ministères de '' feuilles ''.

b) La Parole de Dieu n'est pas l'élément SUPRÊME dans leur agenda. La Bible dit qu'on connaîtra l'arbre par le fruit (Matthieu 12: 33). Quiconque va plus loin et ne demeure pas dans la doctrine de Christ n'a point Dieu; celui qui demeure dans cette doctrine a le Père et le Fils. (2 Jean1:9)

c) Elles embauchent des Prédicateurs qui sont en fait des Comédiens ou des Orateurs Motivateurs, pour égayer l'Assemblée avec des messages Chrétiens doux et beaux, et qui mettent l'accent sur la POSITIVITÉ. La Bible dit que viendra un temps où les gens ne supporteront plus la saine doctrine; mais ayant la démangeaison d'entendre des choses agréables, ils se donneront une foule de docteurs, selon leurs propres désirs, détourneront l'oreille de la vérité, et se tourneront vers les fables .(2Timothée 4: 3-4 ).

c) Le message de la croix, l'enfer, le jugement juste de Dieu, la repentance, la mortification de la chair, la prise de sa croix, ect, sont absents du pupitre. La Parole de Dieu dit : Il y'a eu parmi le peuple de faux prophètes, et il y aura de même parmi vous de faux docteurs, qui introduiront des sectes pernicieuses, et qui reniant le maître qui les a rachetés, attireront sur eux une ruine soudaine. (2 Pierre 2:1).

d) L'ARGENT et la CROISSANCE de l'Église sont les éléments prédominants dans leurs messages. «Ma maison sera une maison de prière. Mais vous, vous en faites une caverne de voleurs» , dit l'Écriture (Matthieu 21:13).

«SORTEZ DU MILIEU D'ELLE MON PEUPLE, AFIN QUE VOUS NE PARTICIPIEZ POINT À SES PÉCHÉS, ET QUE VOUS N'AYEZ POINT PART À SES FLÉAUX», DIT L'ÉCRITURE. (APOCALYPSE18:4).

QUE CEUX QUI ONT TOUJOURS DES OREILLES POUR ENTENDRE ENTENDENT.

IV- QUI EST AU JUSTE L'ANTÉCHRIST ?

L'Antéchrist est une PERSONNALITÉ SATANIQUE qui dirigera le monde pendant 7 ans, après l'enlèvement des Saints par Dieu.

Tout le Royaume des Ténèbres est prêt et attend avec un soupir ardent le Règne de l'Antéchrist. Le monde lui-même est aussi prêt pour le règne de l'Antéchrist. L'Antéchrist à travers ses agents a organisé le système pour l'adapter à son Règne. L'enlèvement des Saints est actuellement ce qui empêche sa totale manifestation. Ses opérations sont visibles partout sur la terre.

La MARQUE de la bête est associée à l'Antéchrist. La MARQUE existe déjà et les gens sont en train de la recevoir. La Bible décrit le règne de l'Antéchrist comme la période de la GRANDE TRIBULATION. Pendant son Règne, le Monde aura un GOUVERNEMENT UNIFIÉ (Un seul gouvernement). Et il dirigera le Monde en tant que Président. Il dirigera tous les Pays du Monde. Il conduira le cours de toutes les Nations.

Le Monde entier utilisera UNE SEULE MONNAIE qui sera accessible à travers la MARQUE 666. Toute personne qui reçoit la MARQUE EST CONDAMNÉE POUR TOUJOURS; séparée éternellement de Dieu. Toute personne qui a la MARQUE de la Bête ne peut plus être réconciliée avec Dieu. La Marque de la Bête est le SCEAU DE LA PERDITION qui identifie un individu avec Satan pour TOUJOURS. La MARQUE sera portée, soit sur le dos de la main droite, soit sur le front. ( Apocalypse 13:1-18, 2 Tessaloniciens 2:8-12; Daniel 9:27; Apocalypse 14:9-11; 1 Thessalonociens 2: 8-12).

Soyez donc sur vos gardes, en ce qui concerne les implantations des MICROPUCES; c'est la MARQUE DE LA BÊTE. En plus du fait que ceux qui ne seront enlevés s'exposent au danger de recevoir la MARQUE DE LA PERDITION, le 666, qui les scelle pour une condamnation éternelle, ils connaîtront LES PLUS TERRIBLES DES TEMPS de l'histoire de l'humanité. '' Et sera une époque de détresse, telle qu'il il n'y en a point eu de semblable depuis que les Nations existent jusqu'à cette époque'' .

La période du Règne de l'Antéchrist sera une période de TORTURE INEXPLICABLE pour tous ceux qui auront reçu la MARQUE de la Bête. Dieu lui-même les torturera pour avoir rejeté son Fils Jésus Christ. '' Afin que ceux qui n'ont pas crû à la vérité, mais qui ont pris plaisir à l'injustice, soient CONDAMNÉS. (2Thessaloniciens 2:12).

V- DESCRIPTION BIBLIQUE DE LA GRANDE COLÈRE DE DIEU PENDANT LA GRANDE TRIBULATION.

Les événements suivants caractériseront le règne de l'Antéchrist pendant la Grande Tribulation :

1) LA GUERRE : (Apocalypse 6:4.)

2) LA FAMINE : la raréfaction et le manque de nourriture. Beaucoup mourront de faim. (Apocalypse 6:5-6)

3) LA MORT : Un quart (1/4) de la population mondiale périra du fait de la guerre, de la faim, et des animaux sauvages ; quand ils mourront, ils iront directement en enfer. (Apocalypse 6:8).

4) LES TREMBLEMENTS DE TERRE : Ils seront plus sévères que ceux que connaît actuellement la terre. (Apocalypse 6:12) ;

5) D'épaisses TÉNÈBRES couvriront la terre, résultant d'un dysfonctionnement de la lune et du soleil (Apocalypse 6:12);

6) L' ébranlement des montagnes et des îles, résultant de la chute des étoiles ( Apocalypse 6:12-13).

7) Toute personne, indépendamment de son statut social, sera animée par une GRANDE PEUR, et une GRANDE TERREUR ( Apocalypse 6:15).

8) Les gens chercheront la SÉCURITÉ et la PROTECTION en VAIN (Apocalypse 6:1-17).

9) Dieu VENGERA le sang et la souffrance des Saints contre les habitants de la terre. (Apocalypse 8:2-5).

10) Un tiers (1/3) de la végétation de la terre (plantes) sera détruite par la grêle et le feu mêlés au sang (Apocalypse 8:7).

11) Un tiers des créatures de la mer mourront, quand les eaux seront transformées en sang. (Apocalypse 8:8).

12) Un tiers des navires marchands seront détruits. Beaucoup de gens mourront, du fait de la pollution mystérieuse des fleuves et des sources d'eau. (Apocalypse 8:11).

13) On assistera à un ÉTAT ANORMAL ou à une INSTABILITÉ des conditions climatiques, au détriment de la santé et du bien-être de l'homme. (Apocalypse 8:12).

14) Les gens seront sévèrement TOURMENTÉS par des sauterelles ressemblant à des scorpions, pendant 5 mois. Les tourments causés par les sauterelles seront tels que les gens chercheront la mort, mais ils ne la trouveront pas (Apocalypse 9:1-11).

15) Un tiers (1/3) des humains seront tués par le feu, la fumée (flammes) et le soufre venant de terribles créatures .(Apocalypse 9:13-19).

16) Malgré tous ces malheurs, le reste des humains qui ne seront pas morts, ne se repentiront pas car leurs cœurs seront marqués au fer chaud pour la destruction éternelle (Apocalypse 9:20-21; Romains 1:28; 1 Samuel 2:22-25).

17) De grandes plaies douloureuses à différents endroits du corps seront constatées (Apocalypse 16:2).

18) On assistera à la Mort des agents sataniques marins. (Apocalypse 16:3)

SI VOUS ÊTES UN AGENT DES TÉNÈBRES, NE CROYEZ PAS AU MENSONGE DE VOTRE MAÎTRE. VOUS NE POUVEZ PAS VOUS ÉCHAPPER À LA COLÈRE DE DIEU. REPENTEZ-VOUS MAINTENANT ET SOYEZ DÉLIVRÉS.

19) Les hommes seront grandement affectés par le manque d'eau à travers le monde, du fait que toutes les eaux et sources d'eau deviendront du sang. (Apocalypse 16:4-7).

20) Il y aura des brûlures insupportables des rayons solaires, au-delà de ce que nous connaissons dans certaines régions du monde. (Apocalypse 16:8).

21) Le monde des ténèbres sera sévèrement tourmenté (Apocalypse 16:10-11).

22) On assistera à la DESTRUCTION de Babylone la Grande : (Apocalypse 16:17-19)

23) Il y aura la Chute de grêles sur les hommes. (Apocalypse 16:21).

24) Le reste des habitants de la terre seront SÉDUITS par l'Antéchrist pour faire la guerre contre Dieu à Armageddon ( Apocalypse 16:12-16; Apocalypse 19:17-21).

LA COLÈRE DE DIEU EST TERRIBLE. VOUS FERIEZ MIEUX DE VOUS REPENTIR PENDANT QU'IL EST TEMPS.

V- RETOUR IMMINENT DU FILS DE L'HOMME

👉 Le Seigneur Jésus Christ VIENT BIENTÔT, et ce sera par SURPRISE, comme un voleur.

=> En un CLIN D'ŒIL, ceux qui étaient MORTS EN CHRIST seront RESSUSCITÉS, et avec les VIVANTS QUI L'ONT ACCEPTÉ, ils seront CHANGÉS.

=> Il recevront un CORPS INCORRUPTIBLE, qui leur permettra de SUIVRE le Seigneur Jésus Christ dans les airs. (1Corinthiens 15:51-57).

JE VOUS AI BIEN DIT QUE SERA EN UN CLIN D'ŒIL, EN MOINS D'UNE FRACTION DE SECONDE. QUE CEUX QUI ONT TOUJOURS DES OREILLES POUR ENTENDRE ENTENDENT.

Pour ce qui est du JOUR et de L'HEURE, personne ne le sait, ni les anges des cieux, ni le Fils, mais le Père seul.

Ce qui arriva du temps de Noé arrivera de même à l'avènement du Fils de l'homme. Car, tous les jours qui précédèrent le DÉLUGE, les hommes MANGEAIENT et BUVAIENT, se MARIAIENT et MARIAIENT LEURS ENFANTS, (c'est-à-dire, menaient une vie normale comme celle que nous menons aujourd'hui), jusqu'au jour où Noé entra dans l'Arche ; et ils ne se doutèrent de rien, jusqu'à ce que le DÉLUGE vienne et les emportât tous : IL EN SERA DE MÊME À L'AVÈNEMENT DU FILS DE L'HOMME.

Alors de deux hommes qui seront dans un champ, l'un sera pris et l'autre laissé; de deux femmes qui moudront à la meule, l'une sera prise et l'autre laissée.

VEILLEZ donc, puisque vous ne savez pas quel jour votre Seigneur viendra.

👉Immédiatement APRÈS L'ENLÈVEMENT, la COLÈRE DE DIEU s'abattra sur la terre. Des phénomènes cataclysmiques se produiront, notamment le télescopage des planètes et la chute des météorites, des étoiles, etc, sur la terre, entrainant la mort d'une bonne partie de la Population Mondiale.

Les SURVIVANTS vivront la période la plus difficile de l'histoire de l'humanité, appelée ''la GRANDE TRIBULATION'', période que personne ne voudrait souhaiter à son PIRE ENNEMI.

Au cours, cette période qui durera 7 ans, même pour pouvoir acheter à manger, il faudra avoir le SIGNE DU DIABLE sur son front ou sur sa main droite. (Apocalypse 13:16-17). Ce qui équivaudrait à être condamné éternellement, sans aucune possibilité d'être sauvé.

REPENTANCE EN FAVEUR DES NATIONS :

Daniel 9:4-19 Seigneur, Dieu grand et redoutable, toi qui gardes ton alliance et fais miséricorde à ceux qui t'aiment et observent tes commandements! Nous avons péché, nous avons commis l'iniquité, nous avons été méchants et rebelles, nous nous sommes détournés de tes commandements et de tes ordonnances. Nous n'avons pas écouté tes serviteurs, tes prophètes, qui ont parlé en ton nom à nos rois, à nos chefs, à nos pères, et à tout le peuple du pays. À toi, Seigneur, est la justice, et à nous la confusion de face, aux hommes, .... à ceux qui sont près et à ceux qui sont loin, dans tous les pays où tu les a chassés à cause des infidélités dont ils se sont rendus coupables envers toi. Seigneur, à nous la confusion de face, à nos rois, à nos chefs, et à nos pères, parce que nous avons péché contre toi. Auprès du Seigneur, notre Dieu, la miséricorde et le pardon, car nous avons été rebelles envers lui. Nous n'avons pas écouté la voix de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, pour suivre ses lois qu'il a mises devant nous par ses serviteurs, les prophètes......; et nous n'avons pas imploré l'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous ne nous sommes pas détournés de nos iniquités, nous n'avons pas été attentifs à ta vérité.......

Seigneur, notre Dieu, toi qui a fait sortir ton peuple du pays d'Égypte par ta main puissante, et qui t'es fait un nom comme il l'est toujours, nous avons péché, nous avons commis l'iniquité. Seigneur, selon ta grande miséricorde, que ta colère et ta fureur se détournent de l'humanité ; car à cause de nos péchés et des iniquités de nos pères, nous sommes en opprobre à tous ceux qui nous entourent. Maintenant donc, ô notre Dieu, écoute la prière et les supplications de ton Serviteur, et, pour l'amour du Seigneur, fais briller ta face sur ce monde en perdition. Mon Dieu, prête l'oreille et écoute ! Ouvre les yeux et regarde les nations où ton nom est invoqué. Car ce n'est pas à cause de notre justice que nous te présentons nos supplications, c'est à cause de tes grandes compassions. Seigneur, écoute ! Seigneur pardonne ! Seigneur, sois attentif ! Agis et ne tarde pas, par amour pour toi, ô mon Dieu! Car ton nom est invoqué sur tes nations et sur ton peuple.

POUR TERMINER, CONNAISSONS , CHERCHONS À CONNAÎTRE L'ÉTERNEL; SA VENUE EST AUSSI CERTAINE QUE CELLE DE L'AURORE (OSÉE 6:3). LA NUIT EST AVANCÉE, LE JOUR APPROCHE (ROMAINS 13:12). RACHETONS LE TEMPS CAR LES JOURS SONT MAUVAIS (EHESIENS 5:16). LA FIN DE TOUTES CHOSES EST PROCHE. (1 PIERRE 4:7).

LE SEIGNEUR JÉSUS CHRIST EST À LA PORTE, ET IL DÉSIRE FRAPPER. SI VOUS ENTENDEZ SA VOIX, ET QUE VOUS LUI OUVREZ LA PORTE, IL ENTRERA CHEZ VOUS, IL SOUPERA AVEC VOUS, ET VOUS AVEC LUI. (APOCALYPSE 3:20)

S'il se trouve que vous n'avez pas encore donné votre vie à Jésus Christ et souhaitez le faire maintenant, faites simplement cette prière ci-dessous.

Sachez que le Salut est individuel, l'enfer l'est aussi. Il se peut même que ce soit la dernière fois que vous entendiez ce message, car la vie d'un individu ne lui appartient pas.

La Bible dit : J'ai mis devant toi la vie et la mort, la Bénédiction et la malédiction. Choisis la vie, afin que tu vives, toi et ta postérité (Deutéronome 30:19).

Aujourd'hui encore, si vous entendez sa voix, n'endurcissez pas vos cœurs.

Pour ceux qui le feront, que le Dieu vivant, créateur du ciel et de la terre, vous guide et vous protège des choses à venir, qui secouent déjà le monde, dans le nom de Jésus Christ. Amen. (Apocalypse 3:10)

How Did you come up with the first eve in the story about adams wives? I haven’t been able to find anything about her after I read it and I want to know if she’s an actual biblical character or just someone you made

She's from the Midrash. I learned about her as a 12 year old, from my barmitzvah teacher. There was a point in there, long after I'd put her into Sandman, where I was starting to think I'd imagined her, when I ran across her in Robert Graves's Hebrew Myths....

Chapter 10: Adam's Helpmeets

(a) Having decided to give Adam a helpmeet lest he should be alone of his kind, God put him into a deep sleep, removed one of his ribs, formed it into a woman, and closed up the wound, Adam awoke and said: 'This being shall be named "Woman", because she has been taken out of man. A man and a woman shall be one flesh.' The title he gave her was Eve, 'the Mother of All Living''. [1]

(b) Some say that God created man and woman in His own image on the Sixth Day, giving them charge over the world; [2] but that Eve did not yet exist. Now, God had set Adam to name every beast, bird and other living thing. When they passed before him in pairs, male and female, Adam-being already like a twenty-year-old man-felt jealous of their loves, and though he tried coupling with each female in turn, found no satisfaction in the act. He therefore cried: 'Every creature but I has a proper mate', and prayed God would remedy this injustice. [3]

(c) God then formed Lilith, the first woman, just as He had formed Adam, except that He used filth and sediment instead of pure dust. From Adam's union with this demoness, and with another like her named Naamah, Tubal Cain's sister, sprang Asmodeus and innumerable demons that still plague mankind. Many generations later, Lilith and Naamah came to Solomon's judgement seat, disguised as harlots of Jerusalem'. [4]

(d) Adam and Lilith never found peace together; for when he wished to lie with her, she took offence at the recumbent posture he demanded. 'Why must I lie beneath you?' she asked. 'I also was made from dust, and am therefore your equal.' Because Adam tried to compel her obedience by force, Lilith, in a rage, uttered the magic name of God, rose into the air and left him.

Adam complained to God: 'I have been deserted by my helpmeet' God at once sent the angels Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangelof to fetch Lilith back. They found her beside the Red Sea, a region abounding in lascivious demons, to whom she bore lilim at the rate of more than one hundred a day. 'Return to Adam without delay,' the angels said, `or we will drown you!' Lilith asked: `How can I return to Adam and live like an honest housewife, after my stay beside the Red Sea?? 'It will be death to refuse!' they answered. `How can I die,' Lilith asked again, `when God has ordered me to take charge of all newborn children: boys up to the eighth day of life, that of circumcision; girls up to the twentieth day. None the less, if ever I see your three names or likenesses displayed in an amulet above a newborn child, I promise to spare it.' To this they agreed; but God punished Lilith by making one hundred of her demon children perish daily; [5] and if she could not destroy a human infant, because of the angelic amulet, she would spitefully turn against her own. [6]

(e) Some say that Lilith ruled as queen in Zmargad, and again in Sheba; and was the demoness who destroyed job's sons. [7] Yet she escaped the curse of death which overtook Adam, since they had parted long before the Fall. Lilith and Naamah not only strangle infants but also seduce dreaming men, any one of whom, sleeping alone, may become their victim. [8]

(f) Undismayed by His failure to give Adam a suitable helpmeet, God tried again, and let him watch while he built up a woman's anatomy: using bones, tissues, muscles, blood and glandular secretions, then covering the whole with skin and adding tufts of hair in places. The sight caused Adam such disgust that even when this woman, the First Eve, stood there in her full beauty, he felt an invincible repugnance. God knew that He had failed once more, and took the First Eve away. Where she went, nobody knows for certain. [9]

(g) God tried a third time, and acted more circumspectly. Having taken a rib from Adam's side in his sleep, He formed it into a woman; then plaited her hair and adorned her, like a bride, with twenty-four pieces of jewellery, before waking him. Adam was entranced. [10]

(h) Some say that God created Eve not from Adam's rib, but from a tail ending in a sting which had been part of his body. God cut this off, and the stump-now a useless coccyx-is still carried by Adam's descendants. [11]

(i) Others say that God's original thought had been to create two human beings, male and female; but instead He designed a single one with a male face looking forward, and a female face looking back. Again He changed His mind, removed Adam's backward-looking face, and built a woman's body for it. [12]

(j) Still others hold that Adam was originally created as an androgyne of male and female bodies joined back to back. Since this posture made locomotion difficult, and conversation awkward, God divided the androgyne and gave each half a new rear. These separate beings He placed in Eden, forbidding them to couple. [13]

Authors’ Comments on the Myth:

1. The tradition that man's first sexual intercourse was with animals, not women, may be due to the widely spread practice of bestiality among herdsmen of the Middle East, which is still condoned by custom, although figuring three times in the Pentateuch as a capital crime. In the Akkadian Gilgamesh Epic, Enkidu is said to have lived with gazelles and jostled other wild beasts at the watering place, until civilized by Aruru's priestess. Having enjoyed her embraces for six days and seven nights, he wished to rejoin the wild beasts but, to his surprise, they fled from him. Enkidu then knew that he had gained understanding, and the priestess said: 'Thou art wise, Enkidu, like unto a godl'

2. Primeval man was held by the Babylonians to have been androgynous. Thus the Gilgamesh Epic gives Enkidu androgynous features: `the hair of his head like a woman's, with locks that sprout like those of Nisaba, the Grain-goddess.' The Hebrew tradition evidently derives from Greek sources, because both terms used in a Tannaitic midrash to describe the bisexual Adam are Greek: androgynos, 'man-woman', and diprosopon, 'twofaced'. Philo of Alexandria, the Hellenistic philosopher and commentator on the Bible, contemporary with Jesus, held that man was at first bisexual; so did the Gnostics. This belief is clearly borrowed from Plato. Yet the myth of two bodies placed back to back may well have been founded on observation of Siamese twins, which are sometimes joined in this awkward manner. The two-faced Adam appears to be a fancy derived from coins or statues of Janus, the Roman New Year god.

3. Divergences between the Creation myths of Genesis r and n, which allow Lilith to be presumed as Adam's first mate, result from a careless weaving together of an early Judaean and a late priestly tradition. The older version contains the rib incident. Lilith typifies the Anath-worshipping Canaanite women, who were permitted pre-nuptial promiscuity. Time after time the prophets denounced Israelite women for following Canaanite practices; at first, apparently, with the priests' approval-since their habit of dedicating to God the fees thus earned is expressly forbidden in Deuteronomy xxIII. I8. Lilith's flight to the Red Sea recalls the ancient Hebrew view that water attracts demons. 'Tortured and rebellious demons' also found safe harbourage in Egypt. Thus Asmodeus, who had strangled Sarah's first six husbands, fled 'to the uttermost parts of Egypt' (Tobit viii. 3), when Tobias burned the heart and liver of a fish on their wedding night.

4. Lilith's bargain with the angels has its ritual counterpart in an apotropaic rite once performed in many Jewish communities. To protect the newborn child against Lilith-and especially a male, until he could be permanently safeguarded by circumcision-a ring was drawn with natron, or charcoal, on the wall of the birthroom, and inside it were written the words: 'Adam and Eve. Out, Lilith!' Also the names Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangelof (meanings uncertain) were inscribed on the door. If Lilith nevertheless succeeded in approaching the child and fondling him, he would laugh in his sleep. To avert danger, it was held wise to strike the sleeping child's lips with one finger-whereupon Lilith would vanish.

5. 'Lilith' is usually derived from the Babylonian-Assyrian word lilitu, ,a female demon, or wind-spirit'-one of a triad mentioned in Babylonian spells. But she appears earlier as 'Lillake' on a 2000 B.G. Sumerian tablet from Ur containing the tale of Gilgamesh and the Willow Tree. There she is a demoness dwelling in the trunk of a willow-tree tended by the Goddess Inanna (Anath) on the banks of the Euphrates. Popular Hebrew etymology seems to have derived 'Lilith' from layil, 'night'; and she therefore often appears as a hairy night-monster, as she also does in Arabian folklore. Solomon suspected the Queen of Sheba of being Lilith, because she had hairy legs. His judgement on the two harlots is recorded in I Kings III. 16 ff. According to Isaiah xxxiv. I4-I5, Lilith dwells among the desolate ruins in the Edomite Desert where satyrs (se'ir), reems, pelicans, owls, jackals, ostriches, arrow-snakes and kites keep her company.

6. Lilith's children are called lilim. In the Targum Yerushalmi, the priestly blessing of Numbers vi. 26 becomes: 'The Lord bless thee in all thy doings, and preserve thee from the Lilim!' The fourth-century A.D. commentator Hieronymus identified Lilith with the Greek Lamia, a Libyan queen deserted by Zeus, whom his wife Hera robbed of her children. She took revenge by robbing other women of theirs.

7. The Lamiae, who seduced sleeping men, sucked their blood and ate their flesh, as Lilith and her fellow-demonesses did, were also known as Empusae, 'forcers-in'; or Mormolyceia, 'frightening wolves'; and described as 'Children of Hecate'. A Hellenistic relief shows a naked Lamia straddling a traveller asleep on his back. It is characteristic of civilizations where women are treated as chattels that they must adopt the recumbent posture during intercourse, which Lilith refused. That Greek witches who worshipped Hecate favoured the superior posture, we know from Apuleius; and it occurs in early Sumerian representations of the sexual act, though not in the Hittite. Malinowski writes that Melanesian girls ridicule what they call `the missionary position', which demands that they should lie passive and recumbent.

8. Naamah, 'pleasant', is explained as meaning that 'the demoness sang pleasant songs to idols'. Zmargad suggest smaragdos, the semi-precious aquamarine; and may therefore be her submarine dwelling. A demon named Smaragos occurs in the Homeric Epigrams.

9. Eve's creation by God from Adam's rib-a myth establishing male supremacy and disguising Eve's divinity-lacks parallels in Mediterranean or early Middle-Eastern myth. The story perhaps derives iconotropically from an ancient relief, or painting, which showed the naked Goddess Anath poised in the air, watching her lover Mot murder his twin Aliyan; Mot (mistaken by the mythographer for Yahweh) was driving a curved dagger under Aliyan's fifth rib, not removing a sixth one. The familiar story is helped by a hidden pun on tsela, the Hebrew for 'rib': Eve, though designed to be Adam's helpmeet, proved to be a tsela, a 'stumbling', or 'misfortune'. Eve's formation from Adam's tail is an even more damaging myth; perhaps suggested by the birth of a child with a vestigial tail instead of a coccyx-a not infrequent occurrence.

10. The story of Lilith's escape to the East and of Adam's subsequent marriage to Eve may, however, record an early historical incident: nomad herdsmen, admitted into Lilith's Canaanite queendom as guests (see 16. 1), suddenly seize power and, when the royal household thereupon flees, occupy a second queendom which owes allegiance to the Hittite Goddess Heba.

The meaning of 'Eve' is disputed. Hawwah is explained in Genesis III. 20 as 'mother of all living'; but this may well be a Hebraicized form of the divine name Heba, Hebat, Khebat or Khiba. This goddess, wife of the Hittite Storm-god, is shown riding a lion in a rock-sculpture at Hattusaswhich equates her with Anath-and appears as a form of Ishtar in Hurrian texts. She was worshipped at Jerusalem (see 27. 6). Her Greek name was Hebe, Heracles's goddess-wife.
