Willamette Valley Bus tour, CiderCon 2016 

The first stop on the Willamette Valley bus tour was E.Z. Orchards in Salem, OR area. Kevin Zielinski, the founder, is well-known in the cider world for producing some of the best ciders and perries that you can get in the US. I highly recommend anything produced by E.Z. Orchards and they have reasonably good distribution so you can now find them in a number of different states. Ask for it at your favorite wine store or liquor store that has a good craft selection. You may also be able to buy some products directly from their website.

You should also read up on “keeving” - E.Z. Orchards is one of the few US cideries that seems to have perfected the technique to produce ciders with some natural, residual sweetness. 

E.Z. Orchards ciders are an excellent example of what good fruit coupled with a wine-making ethos and traditional methods can produce.
