creepypasta scent headcanons! part 1 + my oc

jeff the killer : iron and cigarette smoke - despite me loving the headcanon that jeff is a grimy loser who hasn't seen a shower in years, i wouldn't say in my au that he smells bad? - he definitely doesn't smell like roses, but he really only does the bare minimum when it comes to hygiene - he does not care enough to wear cologne and i honestly don't think he'd go out of his way to use anything other than like a 7 in 1 body wash lmao

eyeless jack : mud and clean laundry - if he broke a sweat doing anything he'd definitely smell horrible but for the most part he just smells like outside.. because he's outside alot.. - he usually only showers when he's covered in blood or like excessively dirty, same for brushing his teeth after he hunts - in my au he has depression so he has a really hard time taking care of himself because there's not much to motivate him (he gets better after meeting valerie tho) - clean laundry because he has like 4 of the same outfit and he cannot stand fresh blood stains. he usually throws his clothes in the wash right after a mission/hunt and then goes to bed in a pair of sweatpants lol

ticci toby : burning wood and copper pennies. and steak but we don't need to expand on that - i'm ngl this is mostly based off of vibes - i've seen other people headcanon his smell as like a campfire? so imagine that but less comforting and with a hint of something weirdly metallic and meaty and toby is in your vicinity

valerie (my oc yay) : new doll and sweetened condensed milk - okay so does anyone know that smell that certain dolls have? like the older ones but not the porcelain ones? does anyone know what i'm talking about?? if you do then she smells like that lol - val does take care of herself regularly but she doesn't really wear perfume unless it's a special occasion, her smell is mostly due to her clothing. (if her clothing is bloody then try to imagine, like, sweet blood?? i'm really struggling here sobs)

Toby likes to set his hand on fire sometimes. Literally just because.

He has one (1) jacket that he wears constantly and occasionally washes. Clockwork sometimes has to drag him from his desk to the laundry room. He literally washes everything else but his jacket LMFAO

He's got tons of scabs and bruises on his body that he is just completely unaware of. Sometimes he doesn't even notice when he's bleeding out until he's about to fall over

New wave enthusiast. He literally lives off of oingo boingo. (A reoccurring thought of him is breakdancing to "lets take the whole day off" for some reason)

He was iron deficient when he was alive. (definitely not projecting with this one)

There's bite marks on the handles of his hatchets.

The more I develop my au the more depth I'll be able to give him, and hopefully by then I'll have a list the length of the constitution!!

i absolutely can!!! it's not fully fleshed out since i spend most of my time thinking of jackerie fluff rather than working on my au.. since i'm still figuring everything out some details might change! Disclaimer: Valeries backstory has alot of christian themes and everything, but I'm not really religious so I might get a few things wrong. If anyone notices anything that is insensitive or disrespectful, please let me know!

Valerie grew up in a very strict, very odd christian household. Her father wanted to garuntee his children entry into heaven, he was obsessed with keeping them perfect and making sure they had no flaws, pushing them to do their very best. God has no room for imperfection in his home, and Valerie and her siblings would live by those same rules in her father's home until their death. Valerie and her siblings took up various sports and extracurricular activities throughout their childhood. Ballet, choir, karate, you name it, she did it. And she excelled, because if you were not perfect, you were a sinner. And Valerie's father has no room for sin in his home.

As for her mother, she's a bitter and silent woman who's done a whole lot of nothing with her life. She landed a rich husband and birthed 5 children, thats about it when it comes to her accomplishments. She couldn't care less about her husbands nonsensical goals and his endless babbling about his thoughts that the lord himself planted in his head. She doesn't lose a hair on her head when her children come to her with their pleas for their father to stop yelling at them. Nothing matters to her, nothing but her own damn happiness. She's happy, right? That's about it so far, I know its extremely vague and it doesn't explain much but I want to at least figure out how she ended up as a proxy before posting the entire thing 😓 Sorry if it's not written well, writing is NOT my strong suit sigh

Valerie:

she has a lot of inspirations but a big one is Ruby Lane from Fear Street!! (I love the fear street movies so much shoutout to @stxticfxce for getting me into it)

originally, her favorite food was gonna be cherries and her ship name with Jack would be "cherrypie", the pie part coming from Jack's magpie nickname. I scrapped it cause i just stopped liking it after awhile.

Jeff calls her "Lamb chops" sometimes. I'm a firm believer in the headcanon that Jeff is terrible with names and just calls everyone whatever the hell he wants.

she can run in high heels and platforms!

her main weapons are dual switchblades with silver handles. her last name is engraved into the blades. if she can't use her hands she's really good at fighting with her legs (Jack's first impression of her was almost getting kicked in the nuts, actually)

she's closest with Kate and Jack, she's only comfortable being extremely vulnerable with them and maybe Slenderman.

Jeff's first impression of her was being stabbed in the eye with his own knife (she apologized and gave him cigarettes to make up for it after his body fully healed, they're decent friends now)

She has entomophobia (fear of bugs, not fear of vomiting) due to something that happened in her childhood. The memory of what caused it is lost to her, but the phobia stayed.

Toby:

African American in my AU! I saw a prophecy from the gods above and it felt so right. He's still extremely fluent in German though, he calls Jeff a bunch of German cuss words when they piss each other off lmao

I've been thinking about making him aroace for awhile. i think him and Clocky work better as a platonic Wybie and Coraline duo than romantic, at least my versions. also clockwork is a lesbian in my au.

Toby's name is the only one Jeff can remember because he's constantly being yelled at. He's just a silly guy!!

He has a plethora of different weapons that he uses on missions! he might use his hatchets or a baseball bat or a chainsaw. He tried to use a flamethrower once but he accidentally exploded his eyeballs cause he got too close to the fire. He was out for like 6 hours until his body was able to heal itself and he could see again. He got the target though!

Heavily inspired by Wybie Lovat design wise, he is a slouchy, spindly man. Him and Clocky are the same height, but he looks shorter cause his posture is awful.

Pretty close with Valerie but he kinda overwhelms her sometimes. They bond over shared amnesia.

Ben:

Ben isn't technically his name.. the letters B-E-N are just his initals. He doesn't remember his actual name and doesn't care to. (Fun fact, it's russian! I'd tell you what it is but I haven't thought of it yet 🌝)

Doesn't smoke pot in my au since i'm not rlly good with drugs.

Besties with Jeff. Like homoerotic besties. Yk those 'straight' guys at school that sit on their friends lap as a 'joke'? they're like that.

He doesn't look exactly like Link, but his fashion sense is inspired by him. He wears alot of green beanies and grows out his hair to shoulder length, etc.

Not technically a full ghost.. he's like a mix of a proxy and a ghost. (Proxy is a universal term for anyone who works under slenderman in my au. I'll make a post fully explaining how my au works sometime in the future if someone asks for it. or if i get bored one night, who knows.)

He got Jeff into anime but has been sworn to secrecy since Jeff thinks anime is too "nerdy" for him.

Jack:

Tall boy. 6'8 with his slouch, 6'11 at his full height.

I've learned recently that Chernobog is an actual, very real deity in slavic culture. Because I want to avoid being disrespectful, and also because i love making up supernatural entities, his backstory is very different than in canon! I'm not gonna go into full detail in this post but to summarize, he kinda merged with a type of cannablistic demon during the ritual. Demons in my au have lots of different types. Ones that don't belong to a specific.. breed (for lack of a better term) are usually really powerful and are very rare. The Operator is one of those rare cases!

If he listened to music he'd definitely listen to Shoegaze. I think of him to Ghost by Whirr and Mercury by Glaze alot.

He can't gain any proteins or calories or anything from regular food, he can only really 'survive' from eating human meat. Anything else is technically starving.

Doesn't have sharp teeth, just an extremely strong bite force and a hunger that battles a medieval peasant's.

If he's not outside finding things, or hanging out with Val, he's usually just sleeping. He doesn't have a lot of hobbies and not much motivation to find any. He watches youtube sometimes, but only when he's really bored.

Very quiet, both verbally and physically. Before Val, he usually only spoke if he had to and even then he wouldn't say anymore than he needed to. He often unintentionally scares people because he doesn't make any noise doing like.. anything so its extremely hard to notice him before he's like 5 inches behind you.

He's been struck by lightning twice. He was fine after, just a bit spooked.

Val's main thing, at least for now is killing anyone she deems "prey". But it's not really something specific about a person that makes them one of her targets, she usually kills because she has very deep vulnerability issues and can't stand to see someone acting like how she would. The moment she sees a part of herself she despises in someone, they become a victim. So I guess she technically sees herself as prey.

She's also a cannibal but in the metophorical sense? (metaphorical might not be the right word) She has an obsession with raw venison (or deer meat) and even though it makes her sick she can't stop herself from devouring it like a starving wolf when she gets the opportunity. Doing things that a predator animal would gives her a sense of safety. I hope that makes sense

I guess just think of her like a deer or a lamb eating it's own kind to feel like a predator.

The lamb mask ties into that somehow but I havent thought of the reason yet 😭 Her personality is a bit like weird girl from the frankenweenie movie. She's not really shy, just kind of deadpan and odd when it comes to most things. When she gets comfortable with someone she starts to open up more and become a lot more expressive :>

Relationships :

Eyeless Jack :

She is shipped with Jack! In my au, they bond really quickly and they're very very close friends for a long time before they start dating. Their relationship at that point would kind of be like.. not just friends but not dating. I guess just imagine two people that you can't for the life of you figure out if they're more than friends or not. Idk if that makes sense.

Physical touch is a big thing between them, if they're near each other they're usually touching in some way if they're able to. Valerie usually holds onto Jack's arm or he rests her chin on her head, hand holding, stuff like that.

When they DO start dating I imagine they'd kind of have a relationship like morticia and gomez? but not exactly, more in the sense that they're hopelessly in love with each other and they match each others freak lol. If the people want it I'll make a full post on their relationship but thats the gist.

Jeff the killer :

I wouldn't imagine they're really close, they don't really have a sibling relationship. I guess it's like weird christian girl + grimy emo loser duo and they watch horror movies together.

Jeff was the first one to find her when she was first like.. transported to whatever freak ass pocket dimension the slendermansion resides in. She was very VERY spooked and since she felt threatened she ran away until he caught up to her to which she stabbed him in the eye lawlz

Nina the killer :

Besties!! They share makeup and talk about dumb movies and gossip together. They're the girliest girls in the mansion and they thrive in their feminine friendship. Since Nina is a bit airheaded and kind of in her own world most of the time, Val is comfortable with her.

Kate the chaser :

Their relationship is kinda like Jecka and Nicole from class of 09, if you know it (it's so crazy how the third game never came out that was soooo sad) But, not toxic 😭

Valerie is actually a little bit gay for Kate but nothing ever happened between them. She was also kinda homophobic for awhile but not in the "ew you homosexual sinners!! you're going to hell!" way more in the "girls cant like girls! girls can't like girls!?" way. She was just confused LMFAO. Kate talked to her after she said something odd one time and she's fine now. I'll start developing that part of her more at some point.

Clockwork :

Not all that close, but Valerie does think Clocky's eye is badass lmao.

Jane the killer :

Janie's kind of a mother/big sister figure to both her and Jack. I haven't thought about it much though.

Ticci Toby :

Like I said in the last post, Toby kinda overwhelms her sometimes. They're decently close though! Kinda like siblings.

Slenderman :

Biiiig father figure to her. She can never completely relax with him like with most people, but she does appreciate his care. Even if she'll never admit it.

My Au :

I still gotta develop alot of it but essentially, proxies are like grim reapers. They can't be seen to the naked eye, not under normal circumstances at least. Radio frequences can pick up their voices, and sometimes they can be seen on cameras, thats why theres trail cam footage of Jack or audio of Jeff cussing someone out floating on the internet somewhere. Video cameras can only briefly capture them, and taking pictures of them is especially difficult.

Proxies (Or anyone in the slendermansion, its a universal term in my au) don't really have monikers or catchphrases either, except for clockwork i guess. So theres not really a "Jeff the killer" or "go to sleep", thats why valerie doesnt have those. I am planning to draw her as if i made her when in the 2010s for fun, so when i get to that she'll probably have a cool name and a catchphrase lol. The Slendermansion/manor is in a sort of pocket dimension or just a realm seperate from the mortal one lol. This parts a little more complicated but the proxies all have their own rooms, and they all have their own forests.. stay with me now All of their rooms have a window or some sort of doorway that leads to the woods outside of the mansion. Depending on which room you enter the woods, it'll look different. Heres what Valeries looks like:

The appearance of the forest depends on the proxy! Val's is all foggy and melancholy cause thats how she is. Emotionally i mean lmao. Anyways the forests are kinda infinite, but if you wander too far you'll eventually end up back outside the window you entered from. Theres ways to get to the different proxies forests without having to go back into the mansion, but only Jack really knows them since nobody else cares to explore lmfao. Slender also knows them but thats obvious. Hopefully that wasn't too confusing, sorry if the grammar is bad I'm REALLY bad at explaining things 😓 I think our ocs would be friends as well! Theres alot of similarities between them :D Religious trauma twins!!!! Sorry this took so long, I took a nap after I got halfway through. If I missed anything please let me know!

She's also ginger! Both her and Toby have a kinda funky/wacky feel to their designs, hopefully when I can start drawing again I can convey that better with Toby.

Speaking of her and Toby, they're a power duo. The bestest of friends and the silliest of sillies. They listen to Rock Lobster by the B-25's on loop together! Other than new wave, I'd imagine she listens to alot of Riot Grrrl or Ye Ye. Bratmobile and Mommy Long Legs are her favs I think. If she had a theme song it'd be Chick Habit by April March lol

Her name is Nancy O'Connell in my au and she is 17 years old! Well, she's immortal technically but she's forever 17 cause proxies don't age mentally or physically. I think changing her name is okay, I'm not sure though. I think my versions of the crps border on ocs at this point 😭 I haven't rlly thought of her personality, I was thinking she'd maybe be like Roxie Richter from Scott Pilgrim, but that might change. (Roxie Richter is super fun to say whoever came up w that name needs a million dollars)

Besides Toby, I don't think I've really expanded on her relationships with anyone else in the manor. The girls all usually hang out together so I'd imagine she's good friends with them.

These next few things are more of little headcanons abt her so they're gonna be bullet points.

The pocket watch in her eyes doesn't work, but if you lean in really closely you can hear a faint ticking!

She uses a baseball bat for a weapon! I think the original Clockwork uses a kitchen knife, but I'm not 100% sure.

She paints her nails to look like ladybugs when she gets super bored.
