      The gesture takes him off guard,   as it came from someone who kept their sentiment so close to their chest.   Cissnei was not the affectionate type                at least not outwardly.   She would double back as soon as a praise would leave her mouth,   but then again,   Zack was teasing her a lot about recognizing his greatness.   The pat on his head gave him pause,   and not long after that he smiled,   fooled for a moment that she finally gave in.        ❛❛   Aw,   thanks !   ❜❜        his thanks hardly reaches her ears as her smile seem to hint at something else,

  it's only then that her words sink in                     did she just refer to him as   '   doggy   ' ??        ❛❛   HEY                   ❜❜

Aerith offers Cissnei a warm smile. Cissnei is so mysterious, but the flower girl still believes someday she'll manage to read through her properly. Because they have naturally become real good friends. At least, that's how Aerith sees their relationship, and hopefully, Cissnei agrees. She's nice to her now... But then she walks away already, really too quickly, which makes Aerith blinks in confusion.

"Hey Cissnei! Wait!" And she quickly starts walking after her, maybe even running a bit to make sure she actually reaches the other. She grabs her arm to stop her and smiles again. "I appreciate our friendship, too! Don't be shy with me! And... thank for the mushroom!" She chuckles a bit and lets go of the other. "Where are you going ? Maybe we could do something together! Have a little girl talk! Or anything else, really!"

Zack was on a tear, ranting about the poor conditions of his last mission to anyone who would listen. Today's unfortunate guest of honor was none other than Cissnei. She had won this role by tapping him on the arm to tell him something, interrupting the tale being told to another SOLDIER, Luxiere, and so naturally, he had had to start from the beginning.

Cissnei was the perfect listener, taking in everything he was saying with naught but a well timed sympathetic nod. Zack filled her in on the entire thing before it even occurred to him that she might have something to say to him when she tapped him on the arm. He had apologized and then – “What did you want to say?”

And she told him.

“Oh.” Well. That was humiliating. And now Luxiere was laughing at him, and his fly was still down, and there were people or windows surrounding him so he couldn't even turn away and fix it. “Um. I did that...on purpose.”

He travels with a certain level of intimidation ; a sharp complement his composure, firm, an irrevocable placement and permanence to his character. But is it such a stretch to assume his soul is not replete with a touch of such kindness, too ? Blooming ever slight through the faintest crest of a smile, not so foreign to that stern set jaw, tipped at the cusp of lips. They just barely part in response.

     It's almost surreal,   to cross the invisible line that was the border of boyhood,   to take in the cool night's breeze scented by the fresh tall grass and wild mushrooms.   Gongaga always seemed to him like a realm of it's own,   a fairy tale land away from the world everyone else knew                 a place he had been eager to see what lay beyond but ever longed to return to as a better man,   a hero amongst those he admired.   Homesickness was a malady he endured long,   a deep sadness within no amount of letters written could compensate for the his mother's tenderness and his father's firm devotion.   He missed them terribly,   &.   in that desperation he had nearly allowed himself to slip and jeopardize his escape.   Cissnei was there to keep him in check,   with a promise to keep his parents company that eased a tormented conscious.   He frowns at the thought,   his once excited steps come to a sharp halt.   Would they be there ?   Would they welcome him with open arms or rush him out the door like a criminal by Shinra's name ?   ...

       ❛❛   It'll be fine   ...   ❜❜        a weak attempt to self console is whispered,   arms crossed against his chest as if hugging himself.   He lingers there a while,   nerves soothed a tad in the familiar serenity of the night.   The world blurs into the symphony of nocturnal creatures humming about                 &.   the movement of a figure behind the veil of overgrown bushes.   Sword is unsheathed in an instant,   blocking the blow by an unforeseen enemy   ...   but wait,   he knows that blade   ...        ❛❛   Cissnei   ...   ?   ❜❜

How long have you been writing the character?

//Four years now - I'm not certain on the actual date but it pretty much aligns with the release of the Remake. He's probably the character ive come back to the most and written for the longest (some of my muses on my multi are older than him but its different)

no doubt, she thinks cissnei is a very attractive woman. VERY appealing. as a blood scientist for shinra, she'd cross paths with her often; liking her enough to wonder where she had gone after effectively leaving the turks. fina can't trust her at all & she is loyal to no one except those she wishes to follow. doesn't mean she hasn't tried to get her phone number through some undercover detective work.

❛ uh…  i…  n-no. ❜  the  young  infantryman  stutters  out  a  response  after  simply  standing  there  and  staring  for  god  knows  how  long.  he  had  heard  rumors  of  a  secret  special  force  known  as  the  turks  but  he  never  thought  he  would  get  to  see  them  in  action.  at  the  same  time  however,  he  couldn't  help  but  feel  ashamed  of  himself.  he  was  still determined  to  become  a  SOLDIER one day,  yet  here  he  was  getting  saved  by  the female.  ❛ thanks…  and sorry  for  causing  you  trouble. ❜  at  least  the  monsters  were  taken  care  off,  which  eased  his  anxiety  and  allowed  him  to  relax  again.  a  sigh  left  him.  ❛ you're  impressive. ❜  his  gaze  then  dropped  to  the  ground  before  he  adds.  ❛ i  wish…  i  could  be  braver. ❜

Really, what was he supposed to say to that?

It wasn't that Joshua didn't believe Cissnei - she was capable of protecting herself, he had already seen that first hand - so if she was trying to assure him that the bleeding wound that ran across her forearm looked worse than it really was, he found he believed her.

Or should believe her, though all he could feel was a growing sense of worry as he looked at her bleeding.

"-- do you have any bandages?" He would offer to heal it, but most people seemed to look at him uncomfortably when he was able to show he didn't need Cure materia to treat a wound.
