One of our cats, Baby Squeaks, has had chronic allergies and overgrooming issues for years now, and we're starting him on a new med for it all, BUT to help in the meantime he has cat onesies we put him in so he can't overgroom especially at night when we're sleeping.

Except he learned how to peel himself in this one by reaching back, biting the Velcro, and pulling it.

So this was my solution for the day until I get around to putting a button on it. A big paper clip.

He hated it but it worked great!

#cats #get paper clipped idiot #he's a bengal (we're pretty sure mix but the woman we rescued him from paid 3k for him so she either got scammed or his coat is just light)#so he's very smart lol. he can open doors and understands leverage and has a dozen different ways he pitches his voice to get attention #anyway we literally got the med today it has been fucking 4-5 years of nothing working until finally this week goddamn. hopefully it helps #my poor baby is so itchy he's given himself bald spots :( he looks extremely cute in the onesies tho #the paper clip didn't cause him discomfort. he hated it because he couldn't peel himself with it on lol #anyway enjoy this pic of my son Baby Squeaks 💖

last week i went to winners and their Shelf Of Oils and bought all these damn skin oils and my skin looks the same but i sure am slippery

#the shelf of oils is actually extremely anxiety provoking there must be 100 different kinds there #idk which is the best im so scared #i bought a retinol/vit c oil to try to work on my acne scarring #and a rosemary oil for my scalp #and tbh my scalp HAS been less itchy so epic win i guess but it could b placebo

actually looking back on it it was kinda funny that i turned out trans because as my parents first child (and also an accident), they had no fucking idea what to do so they defaulted to getting me all the most stereotypical female disney princess shit and baby dolls and barbies for the first few years of my life, only to find out that i was an absolute gremlin of a creature who loathed everything they gave to me and wanted nothing more than to play Lets Behead Baby with hot wheels and war with dinosaurs and scribble blood all over my lunchbox because it was covered in disney princesses and i fucking hated disney princesses. like i was the most difficult fucking kid and i know it (part of it was the undiagnosed autism), but i also came out of the woumb already knowing i was a boy and fighting everyone who tried to tell me otherwise as viciously as a little kid could

#i mean it was also extremely frustrating and upsetting to me as a kid bc my only friends *were* my toys so like #i distinctly remember getting a chest of sparkly dress-up clothes for my birthday and sobbing my eyes out bc it was itchy and painful #and i really really wanted a dinosaur but nobody listened #like my mom figured it out right quick but my dad wanted a daughter and told his friends that so it was a never ending battle lmfao #the only exceptions to this were unicorn dolls and horsies but thats bc i liked to make my unicorns stab people #id get a barbie set #toss barbie to the side #and then play pretend spirit with the mustangs

#im pretty sure im having a mild allergic reaction to my tatto0 :-[#its so itchy. like im sure itchiness is normal on some level but i dont think after a week it should b raised and so itchy its hard to slee #it only started to get bad yesterday and i mean im not covered in hives and its not fucked up and red but its not fun #im guessing its a metal allergy? but i got a black tatto0 years ago and thats fine. i guess its whatevers in the blue #so now my whole upper right arm and shoulder r so so itchy. its also possible this is bc i put expired aquaphor on it #but the itching started 1st and all i had was the aquaphor so idk maybe i made it worse or maybe it did nothing #and now ive gotta go to the psychiatrist tomorrow and shes gonna b like: have u broken out in a rash or anything? and ill b like well no #but im extremely itchy for probably unrelated reasons #or maybe this is caused by the lamicta1 and the tattoo didnt cause it. god dammit if she makes me stop taking it ill b sad. i want it to #work :-( ugh #or it could b infected? but each ring is separate so it would b weird if all of them go infected simultaneously #i want it to go away so i dont have to worry abt it tomorrow 😩#unrelated #lab mate: when r u gonna leave today? me considering how long i cab stand it before i have to go home and take my shirt off: uhh idk

ugh, I guess this is why I became a spinner, but should it be so hard to find a self-striping soft single-ply yarn with a neutral colorway out there?

I’m recertified for my job and have also never hated it more

#Just spent 9.5 violently uncomfortable hours soaking wet extremely tired and itchy from chlorine #In a place with heavy wind chill #I shivered so hard for part of it that I felt like I was going to throw up the rest of the class #And I have giant bruises forming on my knees as per usual :)#Of course the one day it’s not boiling hot is the day I have to spend 5 hours outside in wind and cold water #At least I got medicated last summer so my job doesn’t give me actual anxiety attacks every shift it just raises my heart bpm a bit #Like I usually actually don’t mind my job bc it’s flexible and my boss is cool but today made me so happy I’m leaving for college

had the second worst great clips visit of my life today but thank fucking gd my hair turned out Okay despite the other horrors

#there are 2 in relatively close proximity to me & the one I like more had like 90 minute wait times #as opposed to 15 at the other place #and I knew it would be awkward & bad bc it always is at that location no matter who the stylist is #And Then It Was #stylist repeatedly misgendered me to her coworker who was giving some other guy almost an identical haircut to mine #said coworker did too despite me checking With My Name Which Is Marcus #& then she accidentally nicked my ear w the clippers #& I think she was worried abt doing it to the other ear so I had to trim around it a little when I got home #very stilted conversation which was mostly my fault and isn’t a crime #but she kept telling me I should try a specific style after she’d already started #& I was just like oh haha maybe next time. like three times over the course of 20 minutes or w/e it was #and ALSO sometimes the great clips employees do not really help you get cleaned off #I was spoiled last time the stylist gave me a dry washcloth to get all the little Bits off my face #but todays stylist just sent me out into the world after using the blow dryer for about 10 seconds #got out to my car. hair all over my face. itchy. nothing to wipe it off with.#anyway. worst time was when someone gave me an extremely incorrect haircut bc of a language barrier & I wasn’t really mad about it #but I did cry in my car after bc I felt So ugly & dysphoric #also last complaint abt this poor person #she seemed to have Very little confidence in her choice of tool and changed the guard on her clippers and what clippers she was holding #like 3x more than was necessary & I know this because I get basically the same haircut every time w very little variation #& it just made me anxious that it was going to look bad bc her behavior was #making me feel like she wasn’t very experienced w the kind of haircut I was asking for #marc.txt #last last complaint for real not abt her #her coworker who was also misgendering me cut my hair last time I was there 😔
