So... replaying the Exquisite Cadaver again, and I noticed there is no achievement for the number of sentences the player creates e.g. "You are a Sentence Master for creating 50 sentences" (or something similar). There could be an achievement for every milestone we achieve (20,50,70,100 or 200 sentences) in Endless Mode.
Hi Anon!
While there is already one secret achievement for the Endless Mode (you need a play A LOT to reach it), adding milestones is not a bad idea....
Adding this to the todo list.
Hope you had fun replaying!

I've written a public essay in which I'm working out the way Black women and Black girls perform their sexuality in public landscapes. This essay references Megan Thee Stallion and her orchestrated abuse, Delainey Hayles as Claudia Du Lac in the TV series Interview with the Vampire and the Black woman as jezebel, amongst other points. Since this essay is public, to profit from it, I would appreciate anybody this essay deeply exalted to tip. Pp: [email protected]
The moving gifs above best visually sum up the essay. Here are some excerpts to whet your appetite:
To be overdetermined by their flesh is a narrative running through Black women and Black girls. The gaze is othering, glassy and blotting. Many a day Black girlhood and womanhood appears a ghostly dot of excessive meat, a haunting blotted carcass. It strains towards the biblical Jezebel, the queen mother whose cruel sinfulness had her cadaver crushed up by wild dogs, as was prophesied by Elijah. Insofar as biblical Jezebel goes, she is murderous, sly and luxurious.
and
But Megan Thee Stallion floats through the world of anime and video games, with cosplay, references, and player technology soaking through her aural and visual performances. The rapper manages to insert within the playful and fantastic universe of the gamer a sexuality that is at once theatrical, hilarious, and self-referencing. Megan Thee Stallion isn't Jezebel, but Menat. What's more exquisite than two bad bitches ?
and
On stage, she becomes sexless and almost genderless, the little girl she is registering more as a an impossible child than as a gendered character; she is funny at the expense of herself. Lulu is scripted within the grotesque of the minstrel show; a high uppity Black girl that must be subdued with the violence of the hammer and the nail. She doesn't exude the menacing sexuality of the Black woman, as she's punished before growing into it. Claudia Du Lac's subsequent speech brings forth the misuse of the signifiers that burrow her flesh, and the constant vertigo to which she is therefore exposed as she must celebrate her pain.

Hii! I am an English Major too so I'm really curious about 📁 and 📖 \○v0/
hi milk! love ur acc <3 thanks for the ask.
📁 what is a project/assignment you’re really proud of?
I did my undergrad thesis on dark academia and its demerits actually! So I’m pretty proud of that one, even though it near killed me. I also did a seminar for subaltern studies parelleling Portrait de la jeune fille en feu and Kumbalangi nights which I am so proud of but I and my partner both lost all files of that. There are a few more niche ones like these that I did and am proud of, but I’ll stop here.
📖 a book/reading from your field you’d recommend/really enjoyed?
I read Essential Sufism by James Fadiman and Robert Frager for my undergrad and it was the first nonfiction book i read cover to cover multiple times. It’s really good.
I read quite a few books from my degrees that I loved, but most of them are ones I knew I’d love going in like Pride and Prejudice, This Is How You Lose the Time War, Jane Eyre, Exquisite Cadavers, etc.

Book Blurb:
Variant cover by HamletMachine! NEW 56-PAGE ONE-SHOT from DSTLRY. In COME FIND ME: AN AUTUMNAL OFFERING, auteur Becky Cloonan (SOMNA, Gotham Academy) curates a coven of the most sinister, trailblazing storytellers in sequential art for a haunting collection destined to become a Halloween tradition.
Within these pages, Cloonan unearths a corpse with two coins laid over its decaying eyes. When an opportunistic thief robs the cadaver of its last possessions, a sinister curse erupts, dooming all it touches. HamletMachine (Lucifer's Garden) presents a chilling tale of a musical demon who makes Faustian pacts with unsuspecting victims, creating minor-key symphonies of human pain. E.M. Carroll (A Guest in the House), Vanesa R. Del Rey (Scarlet Witch, Redlands), Celine Loup (The Man Who Came Down the Stairs), and Molly Mendoza (Skip) join this insidious bonfire to conjure a modern descent into folk-horror dread.
COME FIND ME also offers a first look into the world of Cloonan's next DSTLRY series, making this volume a perfect collector's item, hot off the creator's sold-out modern erotic horror masterpiece with Tula Lotay, SOMNA.
An eerie confirmation of the new face of comics horror, COME FIND ME is guaranteed to provide restless nights and racing pulses in a season of bonfires and falling leaves.
Every issue from DSTLRY is presented in our perfect bound Prestige format, featuring wraparound covers with spot gloss on robust cover stock, complemented by 56 pages of exquisite interior stock. It's the DSTLRY difference.
For fans of SOMNA, THE WITCH, TRICK 'R TREAT.
Review:
A delightful anthology filled with gothic tales, gorgeous artwork, and autumnal vibes. This collection of stories was such a fun read and something I would absolutely recommend everyone pick up if they love a spooky gothic read!

Why is "unachievable" written for the endless achievement in EC?
Hi Anon!
I was a big confused at first, because the Endless Achievement is achievable. The Unachievable ones are with the Story Mode (because 2/3rd of the rounds are missing).
Then I checked it, just in case
And I realise why it would have been confusing....
The lines with a * at the end are the ones unachievable (i.e. the last 2 for Story Mode). But the formatting makes it seem like it is not...
Correcting this is on my to-do list now.
Thanks for the head's up!

I was pretty shaken up this morning with the whole bday presents from my parents
But the rest of the day went great. I tried out my new colored pencils- they’re so smooth, I took a walk outside a couple times today. I found my dog’s daycare’s instagram & found some photos of him🧡
Tomorrow’s my bday- & I already opened all the presents I got this year early. So it will be different.
But we’re going to my favorite dessert place it’s so cute.
(I’ve been trying to figure out what that second cloud looked like- it was so odd in the sky I had to take a picture of it. & I just realized it looks an exquisite cadaver to me, a dog head with arms & a torso, a rat, and bird legs)

Have you ever tried making self-contained ifs but by accident you make it an over branching narrative game instead? Or has anyone tried making a normal side character but you're now to invested in a storyline you created as a joke ? 😭
Oh Anon...
Are you having fun though? If yes, then... who cares :P Have fun creating huge stories and dumb plots !
Also... Yes. To answer your question: SPS Iron Hammer (it will be the new version) and P-Rix - Space Traveller (lol they are both sci-fi) for the first, Goncharov Escapes! and Exquisite Cadaver for the second (maybe P-Rix would also fit).

i...would luv a movie that reminds u of bel if u dont mind<3
let me use my film knowledge! / @cloistress
the exquisite cadaver (1969, dir. vincente aranda)
a publisher starts receiving packages that contain something incredibly macabre-- pieces of a female corpse. to be fair, i haven't seen this one yet but a cursory glance at the reviews really makes me think of bel (bc apparently the female mc steals a dude's wife? so like...hello!).

Fantastic Cadaver
Earlier this month, I wrote and co-directed a one-minute segment of a Surrealist film project for Butthead Films, called Fantastic Cadaver. I'm not allowed to say or show much about it, because the film is an exquisite corpse—a style of art or writing wherein a series of creators adds to it without knowing much about what has come before. I created minute 22 having seen only minute 21. Since the project is still in progress, I can't show things that would tell filmmakers for minutes 24 and beyond anything consequential about what I did.
Someday it will be revealed.
However, I can disclose that I wrote an original song as part of the soundtrack; expect Stopwalk to release a variation sometime in the next six months. It's beautifully sleazy triphop.
