#rise of the guardians#rotg#sandy#my gifs#elves#can you believe i've never made a rotg gifset despite it literally being my favourite film since like 2014#i rewatched it the other day and i ended up learning basic davinci resolve just so i could make this#(apparently sony vegas pro 17 can't export as stills on windows 11 so i had to do all of it on davinci resolve)#(hence the suspicious lack of text)#(and i struggled with the gif colours but i think it's broadly fine?? the first & last are floyd-steinberg and the rest are positioned#one day i should probably rethink my workflow - im sure GIMP isn't the best tool for all of this)#anyway. good film. fun little moment. love his foot taps and the elf and could not stop thinking about it until i giffed it#even if i think i'm not doing this scene justice by distilling it down to 6 gifs#also apologies if you saw this a second time... i could NOT get the tags to work last night

when the modding tools comes out for bg3 im gonna be soooo annoying oh man. i wanna make so many animations for dav and shadow

Hello! I come with a gift (?) on this Christmas morning. This is… a really rough animatic I made frantically in four days based loosely off the Mayoi lamplit winter trio. It’s a bit janky and not the best quality but I hope you still enjoy it. Merry Christmas if you celebrate, and I hope all of you feel safe and warm and loved this holiday season. if any1 is wondering the best free video editing software is openshot and the best free photo editing software is paint.net
#gimp is too unintuitive and bogged down with almost too many options for what should be pretty simple universal tools#pixlr is very good but limited saves without premium so not rlyyyy free imo#edit.photo is a good alternative for browser-based editing but lil more limited#for video editing i like openshot bc u can export in any resolution/aspect ratio which is.. a huge thing that so many programs miss out#this also means u can downscale any video pretty easily without any extra software which is handy#i like clipchamp as well for like rlyyy basic cuts but only if the video is already in a modern resolution#bc clipchamp cant export in 4:9 or other obsolete aspect ratios and adding the black bars is a big bummer#depending on how u wanna use the video ofc#anyways. it'd oddly impossible to find good editing software that is actually free with no limitations or watermarks so..#these r my tried n true <3 ^_^

#i have to reapply all the patches and my sprite edits onto the rom from scratch..#i ran into a trainer with a very bugged out name#and it led to me learning that im supposed to apply this specific patch to extend the trainer name limit if im gonna change any#cuz one of the tools for gen 4 hacking doesn't encode the trainer name text bank properly when exporting#but the trainer name patch only makes my rom crash cuz im supposed to apply it much earlier#it should only take me a little over an hour to redo everything. but it's still really annoying :/#the wisp whispers

full disclosure, I heavily referenced a pic of a pile of cheese from Google. And I only used a plushie I got today as reference for Plagg lol
#my art#miraculous ladybug#miraculous plagg#hipaint#i think medibang was holding me back i mean i have access to all these different tools with hipaint that medibang would never have#why cant i put in hex codes on medibang???#thats such a basic feature yet they decide “no lets make the app even more unusable with constant ads”#like ad 1 opening the canvas ad 2 fills the screen a few seconds after the canvas opens ad 3 through 59 whenever you save#an additional ad when you try to wxit the canvas and sometimes it dosent even exit and i have to sit through two fucking ads to exit#and then another ad when you try to export the image#with hipaint i get maybe one ad opening the app and then its chill#i was so hesitant to find another app to use for drawing because i didnt want to learn a whole new program and id rather suffer than change#but hipaint is so easy to learn imo?? and its so fun to just fuck around with brushes and tools and stuff#i sound like an ad lmao
