An expendable crawls through the vents. She was a regular and somehow always showed up beaten and bruised. She'd be lucky to go through a run with zero injuries.

Today she seemed to be lucky. She crawled in and shot to her feet waving.

"Hey!! How's my favorite! Shop keeper is doing this fine evening!"

She asked happily. Though she did have a favor to ask him.

Sebastian asks sharply, lit cigarette held between his teeth.

"Whatever it is, it's probably on my tail. If not- too bad."

"Uhm. HQ I believe there has been a mistake. Cause I'm not supposed to be down... Uh.. Where ever here is.. I tried talking to the guards about it but they didn't listen... So maybe.. You could just. Let me go home? Pretty please..?"

A newer expendable spoke on the other side of the radio. Well... Not really speaking.. More like pleaded for her to be released and sent home.

There was a delayed response over the radio, HQs voice coming through after a moment.

"If you were brought here and are in the blacksite, there is no mistake. You are here for a reason - your directive is clear."

[ The chirps and noises from Quincy were nothing short of amazed. This little expendable-maybe-not-human was so small and squeezable. She taps her forehead against Casey's nose ] QUINCY: " Very. Hiii. Curious and friendly. So happy. Excited to speak to you. Hello hello. " QUINCY: " My friend Scud isn't curious. Quiet.. So so shy.. And big! "

[ Now there are TWO tendrils on her face, pushing and pulling at her cheeks like she was slime ]

QUINCY: " Have you seen Ruby ? "

"Omg it's my favorite Entities in this hellish base! The Squiddles!! Or what I have personally nicknamed you all. Buddies and homies."

An expendable exclaimed happily as they put their flash light away. They smiled widely at the Squiddles getting close but not too close to cause discomfort.

"Gah you little guys look so very adorable"

[ Quincy looms right over the other. If she was bothered by the other's presence, there was no indication of it. ] [ In fact, Quincy got even closer, echoing "buddies and homies" as she did so ]

[ A tentacle wrapped around Casey and squished her cheek. Like someone would do to a puppy ]

QUINCY: " Buddies. Homies. So biig. So big eyes. Wow wow.. hello buddies homies !! " QUINCY: " Hello !! With big eyes!! "

[ The interaction seemed pleasant. Just watch where her tendrils go, Quincy has a tendency to forget there are appropriate ways to hold people and sometimes she will carry them by their neck. Like a little.. stress doll ]

(Took me a bit of courage to send this ask 😭🙏 but you seem cool! Hope you don't mind an rp!)

There was one particular expendable that seems to come into his shop during each run showing up with new scars. Ranging from minor scrapes on her knees to even having a huge bloody mess on her chest from some turrents. So seeing her with scars like just a normal thing.

Today she had a couple new scars. Her left hand being someone shredded with small cuts to two cuts under her right eye and a small cut on the left side of her cheek. She crawled through the vent as she waved up at Sebastian.

"Heyy My favorite one and only shop owner. What's the stock looking today?"

She said with her signature cheeky grin.

The halls were dark laced with shattered lightbulb pieces on the hall floors. The sounds of metal being gently hit mixed with the sound of crushed glass.

An expendable was walking down the hallway. Shifting through the drawers trying to find a source of light. She was humming to herself as she gathered research and files while listening for any noises.

Suddenly, without warning, a low female voice sounded behind her, sounding almost amused.

"You know, it's rude to look through other people's files.."

An expendable crawls through the vent. Soon she dusts herself off before leaning against a crate as she gave a smirk.

"Hey there... How's the Fish Market going?

Get it.. Cause you're a fish.. Running a market..."

He stared on, a blank, almost bored expression. He wasn't sure whether to shoot them instantly from how miserably bad the pun was, or to shoot himself to never have to think of it again.

"Wowww.. Hahaha.. that was a good one!.. Totally."

He spoke through gritted teeth. as if it pained him to even lie or be sarcastic about it.

Messaging people for the first time is so hard. What am I supposed to say? Like, "You seem really odd and your blog intrigues me. The sound of someone crawling through the vents could be heard echoing the silent room. Before any warning.

The familiar Expendable from a couple days ago popped out of the vent with the biggest smile on her face.

"Hey Hey Shop Keeper! Guess what today is!"

She hummed as she crawled into the shop, standing to her feet and placing her hands on her hips.

"If I remember correctly, it's someone's birthday today. Oh now who was it.."

He brings a clawed hand to his chin, gently tapping away as he pretends to think.
