A Foreign Love || In-ho x Reader
wc: 2.6k a/n: Ahh i had so much fun writing this request!! if you would like a happier ending do please send me a message or inbox me i don't mind warning: (spelling errors possibly?)
You nervously played with your hands as you walked around the room, every team had gotten a sixth player, it didn't help that you were seemingly the only foreigner there.
“Excuse me, could I join you all?” You questioned as you walked up to a group of elders.
Player 100 scoffed and dismissed you with a wave of his hand. “Please sir, I see your team is short a member..” You tried to convince him. He groaned at you before turning towards you. “Can’t you take a hint and leave...entitled americans!” He scoffed at you, looking you up and down in disgust.
“I’m sorry.” You apologized before walking away. You sat down near the wall and let tears well up in your eyes. As you let out a shakily breath, covering your face with your hands. You didn't even want to play more games, all you wished was to go home.
As you cried, a gentle hand was placed on you shoulder, making you peek through your hands. Player 388 was squatted next to you. “Are you alright, miss?” He questioned, concern in his eyes, you nodded and wiped your eyes with your jacket sleeve.
“Do you have a team?” He asked, helping you stand up; You shook your head at him, “Everyone claimed to have a sixth player..” You explained, he nodded slowly at your words before motioning for you to follow him.
Trailing behind him, he led you to a group of three older men and one girl around your age. “I have found our sixth!” He announced happily before stepping to the side to show you.
They all blinked as you waved to them, a small polite smile on your face.
“The foreigner?!” Player 390 exclaimed, one of the other men; player 456 smacked his arm before greeting you with a nod.
“In my game we had a foreigner, he did well, he just got given the wrong kind of person during a game...” Player 456 explained.
“Welcome!” Player 001 greeted, you smiled and nodded your head in acknowledgment “Thank you for having me.” You bowed slightly.
- - - - - - - - - - -
You all sat together in a line as the games got announced.
Ddakji, flying stones, gong-gi, spinning top, jegi and jacks.
“Jacks?” All of your teammates questioned. “You have to bounce a ball and collect little metal jacks and have to pick them up before the ball falls.” You explained, perking up.
“Are you any good?” Player 001 questioned. You held your hand out and shook it side to side, “somewhat.” He nodded as the others began to claim the other games.
You all watched as the other teams went, before you knew it, you were the last team to go.
You all got up and waited as the guards chained you; Your team had done well til it had gotten to spinning top.
You groaned as he managed to toss it behind you all, he broke down, yelling at himself for his mistake, you leaned forward a bit and looked towards player 001, “We all make mistakes, maybe try your left hand!” You suggested, he nodded and winded the toy up before letting it go, you all waited with baited breath as it spun.
You all walked to the next mini game and began to hype player 456 up as he did jegi, you all moved forwards as both player 456 and 001 caught it with their legs that were tied together.
“You got this!” Player 388 smiled as the guard handed you the ball, you and your team squatted down so you could play on the small table, shaking you tossed the ball up, you had failed to catch the jack in time due to your shaking hands. You groaned, you had tried twice to get the jacks before the ball fell but failed, you were on the verge of a panic attack as you glanced up to the counter.
“Calm down, we all make mistakes!” 001 tried to reassure. You just nodded and tried once more, you waited as the ball went up, with a swift hand you swiped up the mini jacks and the ball, you all yelled out in relief before running the fastest you could tied together.
You all cheered as you crossed the finish line; your beginning was cut short. Gunshots made you all flinch; The opposite team didn’t make it. You all stared horrified at the corpses while being unshackled.
- - - - - - - - - - -
You all walked back to the dorm, everyone's eyes on your backs. You had linked arms with 222, she had explained she was pregnant at the beginning of the game, you had gained a need to protect her ever since. As you passed player 100 and his friends you stopped at his words, “Both the foreigner and the pregnant girl lived, they’re definitely not making it to the next round!” He laughed, you turned and went to open your mouth but stopped as 001 walked over to them.
“What does that say about you? Your team is all old men, who’s to say none of you don’t have heart failure in the middle of the next game? What kind of men are you all, denying an expecting mother and an innocent foreigner help?!” He scoffed as the group of older men stumbled over their words.
He wordlessly walked away to his bed by the others.
You unlinked your arms as 222 walked towards another player, leaving you to follow after 001.
He sat on his bed, sighing. You quietly approached his bed, watching as he rubbed his shoulder, trying to give his muscles a bit of comfort. “Thank you again mister.” You muttered out, earning his attention, he looked in your direction.
“For letting me on your team, and standing up to that player…thank you mister!” You clarified, nervously playing with your fingers.
“Someone had to put them in their place, it was a matter of time really.” He lightly chuckled, patting the space next to him on his bed, you sit down.
“Why are you in the game?” He questioned, you softly laughed. “I originally came here to study abroad. emergencies happened in my home country, I trusted the wrong shady guy to send money to my family..” You explained, he listened.
“What brought you here mister?” you questioned, sitting up. “Hospital’s build up a lot of debt..” He sighed, you nodded.
He snickered, making you look at him confused. “You don’t have to call me mister, it’s-!” As he went to give you his name the others walked over, talking about the next vote.
“I think I threw my shoulder out!” Player 290 sighed, moving his arm in a circle motion. “I’m sorry about earlier, everyone..” 001 apologized. You all dismissed his apology
Player 222 had walked over and sat on the steps beside your shoes; she looked around as the group sat down together and talked. “Oh what about her ddakji play, im surprised she didn’t break the ground when she threw it!” Player 290 laughed, she looked bashfully to the ground, a smile on her face.
“Or what about her jacks play, swiped them better than a thief!” 388 complimented making you giggle; Player 222 bowed her head as she looked at you all. “Thank you for including me on your team.” she thanked. You quickly nodded in agreement, “thank you, i’d probably be dead if i hadn't found a team in time..” They all nodded.
“I think we’re lucky you two joined us, we’d be lost with the jacks or stuck on ddakji forever.” 290 joked, earning laughs from everyone. 388 stood up in front of you all, “listen since we’re sticking together, i think we should learn each other's names, it would be a good idea right?” He questioned, waiting for someone to disagree but it never came, you all nodded.
“I’ll start, my name is kang dae-ho; dae means big and ho means tiger!” He grinned, you all nodded.
“That’s a very cool meaning!” You grinned at him. Player 290 cleared his throat, “My parents didn't give me a cool name, it's just park jung-bae. Righteous and twice.. I guess they want me to be twice as righteous.” He sighed.
“My name is kim jun-hee, i dunno what it means though..” She gave a soft look before glancing down to her hands.
“Jun-hee, once we get out of here you need to go see a doctor, stress isn't good for either you or the baby.” 001 told the young girl, who nodded.
“I’m oh young il.” He introduced himself, you all nodded.
“It kinda sounds like your number!” You pointed out. “It’s easy to remember,” He laughed, before turning to 456.
“You’ve all heard my name, it's gi-hun.” He dismissed you all, “What’s your last name gi-hun?” Young il questioned. “It’s seong gi-hun.” He explained, earning nods.
“I’m y/n y/l/n, my name doesn’t have any meaning like your guys.” You smiled, earning a laugh from jungbae.
“Very american!” He commented, earning more comments of your nationality.
“Is it true americans carry guns everywhere?” Jung-bae asked, earning a laugh from you. “Um, certain states..yes.” You grinned.
You all had continued talking till a loud buzz, out walked the guards with the voting machine, you all watched as they set it up and went over the rules once more.
You all looked at one another’s badges. Young il cover his as you looked at him with a slight frown. ‘I’m voting to leave this time.” He nodded at you. You grinned and nodded “Maybe when we get out, me and you can go for dinner?” You suggested, a smile on your face, he chuckled at you “I’d enjoy that.”
You grinned at him as he walked to the machine and pressed the X.
You watched as the screen counting the votes go up as more people voted to stay, you began to shake as gi-hun pressed the X but was outvoted, you swallowed a knot in your throat.
You stood beside dae-ho and jun-hee in shock at the results, “I’m gonna be sick.” You muttered before running to the restrooms.
In-ho waited til everyone had disbursed before signalling towards the guard in your direction, you were to busy trying not to vomit in the dorm to notice anyone gaze.
- - - - - - - - - - -
Gi-hun had you all move your mattresses to the ground, he was on edge. He had told your group in his past game by the third game players had gotten violent during the night.
You sighed, laying down under the bed frame on your mattress. Slowly you had drifted off to sleep while the others continued to move more beds and set up a watch system.
You woke up during the night, having to use the restroom. You glanced over and saw everyone had fallen asleep. You quietly got up and walked to gi-hun, who watched for other players.
“I need to go use the restroom.” you told him, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes. “It's dangerous out there!” He warned, you glanced around the dorm, no one was actively awake.
“I'll be ok, no one seems to be up yet either!”
Before he could respond, you walked past and towards the side door and knocked. A triangle guard opened the small hatch, before you could say anything the door opened fully for you. “oh, thank you! I won't be long.” You thanked them, before walking into the restroom.
Gi-hun silently watched, holding back his yawns. A tap of his shoulder alerted him, in-ho smiled at the man. “Ready to switch off?” He asked, rubbing sleep from his eyes, gi-hun nodded and traded spots; In-ho waited til he knew gi-hun was asleep before getting up from the floor and walked to the side door and knocked in a pattern, the triangle guard bowed their head and stepped to the side.
- - - - - - - - - - -
You yawned as you walked out of the restroom, as you went to leave back to the dorm, the guard stopped you, standing in front of the door, facing you.
“Can i get by please?” You motioned to the door with your hand. They shook their head at you before speaking. “Follow the guard.”
You gave him a confused look, as you followed their raised hand you were surprised to see another guard, this guard was dressed different, his clothing was black and his mask had a sqaure. “Ok?” You quickly followed as the guard let you through the stairs, as you go to a certain part, they turned around and handed you a piece of black cloth. “Put it on.” They commanded, you nodded and tied it over your eyes, your heart began to pick up.
What did they want from you? Are they going to execute you?
Your thoughts ran wild as the guard guided you through the halls. Finally you had stopped. The sound of shoes filled your ears.
Your blood ran cold as your vision was restored, you flinched covering your eyes due to the lights. You squinted at the figure.
“Who are you?” You questioned, your eyes adjusting to the room’s light, the man’s mask was matte black, it had a sort of 3D design to it.
“I am the frontman, owner of these games.” He introduced himself, your heart stopped.
“Why am i here?” You questioned, too busy to see the guard grabbed rope and slowly approaching you. “I see you have gotten very close with one of the players…001.” You nodded, watching his every move.
“What did you do to him?” You questioned, the frontman stepping closer to you. “Nothing, just if your safe and away from him, he’ll do better at these games.” He explained, motioning for the guard.
As you turned your head the guard grabbed your arms and began to tie them together. You let out a yell as they pinned you and tied your legs together. “No one can hear you from here.” He explained, running one of his gloved fingers over your cheek as tears fell down.
He motioned to the guard to help move you to the bed he had in an adjacent room. You cried and thrashed the best you could.
He shushed you as you cried, he sighed, knowing it wasn't helping. He grabbed a remote he had on the bedside; he waited til the guard confirmed you were sacred in the bed before pressing a button, a small hiss filled the room. You stared at him in horror as gas filled the room.
“Goodnight.” He nodded to you before shutting the room door, feeling drowsy, you tired to look around the room for any way out but stopped as your eyes forced shut.
- - - - - - - - - - -
Gi-hun and the others were startled awake as in-ho yelled at the guards. “What happened?” Jung-bae questioned, rubbing his eyes and began to stand up to see the commotion.
“YOU TOOK HER, I KNOW IT SHE’S BEEN GONE FOR 5 HOURS!” In-ho yelled, pounding at the door where the hatch was closed.
Gi-hun and the others ran over to him, concerned and confused. “What’s going on?” Gi-hun asked looking at his teammate who sobbed squatting down to his knees, playing the grieving act.
“Those masked guards took y/n, she had been gone for sometime and i went to see if she was there and-!” He sobbed, earning worried looks from the group.
“Player 129 has been eliminated!” The voice rang out in the room.
Everyone stared at each other in shock. Jun-hee covered her mouth in shock. Gi-hun sighed and squatted down to in-ho’s level and patted him on the back in comfort. “Help stop these games for her.”
In-ho nodded and wiped the tears away. “For her..” He repeated sadly, knowing full well you were peacefully sleeping in his bed at the moment.

Could I request Gerhard (Delico's Nursery) with a beautiful lover who is constantly getting hit on despite being in relationship?
The life of a noble was filled with its privileges, but also its duties.
Ceremonies. Titles. The proper way to hold a fork. All of it was for the aggrandizement and the preservation of the nobility. Gerhard was glad to be a part of it. Usually.
Public functions like this, the balls & the parties, were not his favorite sort. He did not find small talk pleasant, but could hold his conversation (and more importantly his tongue) when chatting with his other nobles. In recent events, however, he found it harder and harder to hold his tongue.
“Your lady wife certainly looks particularly enchanting this evening, Ser Gerhard. Whoever made such a beautiful gown?”
“I do not know. You will have to ask her.” He replied sternly at the man who was so obviously not interested in fashion.
He was recently married to another member of the noble class. A beautiful woman with an old family name much like Dali’s. Oddly enough they also got along well. Most only saw her beauty, but she was also quite clever. Angelico also seemed to like her, although that was irrelevant, as he looked at her often with big doe eyes of enamorment.
For most, it would be fine enough just to have a beautiful wife. And for Gerhard originally that had been enough as well. However, the constant reminder of how beautiful his wife was from men, colleagues, and strangers, was getting on his nerves.
Gerhard looked up from the conversation with the man, as he was not paying attention, and caught site of Dino leaving early with his new wife. ‘Lucky’ He thought. As Dino did not care much for his social standing, but had an old name to stand on, he could leave early without question. Leaving him here without his…well…not ‘friend’ per say but someone at least on his side. Or would not hit on his wife.
“You seem rather glum.”
Gerhard and his partner turned towards his wife, who had just appeared beside him. Indeed, looking radiant in her new gown. “Something the matter my dearest?”
“Oh, I’m afraid that is my fault, my lady.” The man apologized quickly. Blushing and bashful as a schoolboy. Making Gerhard grit his teeth. “I fear I may be boring Ser Gerhard.”
“I’m sure it’s not that.” His wife replied charitably. All civility. All gentility. Yet somehow further pulling this man into her spell. “Is your headache still bothering you, my love?”
Gerhard and the man both seem surprised, but the other man is the only one who commented. “Headache?”
“Yes. Gerhard was commenting on a headache earlier today. But he insisted that we come to the party to make an appearance as it was our duty to come.” His wife lied so easily. She then stepped close to place his hand on his chest. “You should not push yourself so hard my love.” Her eyes glittered with adoring fervor. To which Gerhard just scrunched his lips and sat his champagne down.
“Yes. Perhaps we should go home.” He said his goodbyes to the man, who would make his excuses for others, and took his wife’s hand before leading her out. Once in the open air waiting for the carriage he told her, “that was uncalled for.”
His wife just smirked at him. Her real face coming out now that they were alone. “What? You seemed in pain talking to that man. I assumed you had a headache.”
Gerhard growled. “To tell people that is a sign of weakness. What will people think?”
“That you are a mere man, which I guess is the cruelest insult for a Fra indeed. My mistake.”
The carriage arrived and a footman let them in before closing the door. “Look, I apologize.” Gerhard said after a sigh. “Do you have any idea what it’s like to stand at these things and have someone tell you how attractive your spouse is?”
“Yes. I do.”
Gerhard turned from his sulking to look at his wife. Seeing that she was being completely serious, before she slid forward; or as much as her gown would allow her. “You do know how lovely you are too, Gerhard? With these long golden curls. That pale skin.”
“Stop it.” He batted her hand away while he blushed. Gerhard usually hated people commenting on his appearance. Looking rather ‘feminine’ from a young age, he had to overcome such preconceived notions about him to gain his standing. But when his wife did it, Gerhard felt a little flustered.
“You are a very handsome, beautiful man Gerhard. The only difference is that ladies tend to be more discreet. Unless they are with other ladies.” Her coy smile sent a shiver through him, before she lifted his hand to kiss it. “You needn’t worry though. Let them compliment me like they would any piece of art. It is what I was born to do. But just know, the only one who can admire me fully, is you.”
Gerhard gulped as he felt the carriage starting to slow. Signaling that they were home. “Perhaps…I could admire you fully tonight.”
His wife grinned as the door opened and let herself be helped out. “Of course. But, we’ll need to have some help getting me out of this thing. Art, though beautiful to admire, can be tedious sometimes. Especially with all these buttons.”

Meeting Goku x reader headcanons!!
(It's an AU where Chi-chi doesn't meet Goku because I love my girl and I simply hate angst.)
May be ooc since it's my first time writing </3 but overall it's just Fluff!!
Haven't checked for any spelling mistakes I'm too lazy.
Okay so I've recently became a Goku simp and Dragon Ball lover, and I've noticed there's little to no works about him. Which surprised me with how popular the DB series are. Anyways we'll talk about this another time let's begin!!
1k
To Begin, you and Goku met during the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament where you both fought.
Even though you were beaten easily, Goku was amazed to find a strong woman for the first time. He immediately fell in love. (he's too dumb to figure it out and needed Krillin's help.)
Which lead him to ask to train and spar together when you'd both be free. So like everyday.
But of course it wasn't enough interaction for our lovely saiyan so Krillin's helped his best bud having dates ideas such as going to the beach together, going on restaurants (sadly you're the one paying
You two even nap together!!
As you guys may know, this man has got no experience about what personal space means.
So don't be surprised if you get trapped in a hug randomly if you guys nap together!!
No matter how far your beds are he'll randomly find a way to stick with you.
Of course there are some days where Goku may piss you off..
For exemple, when he asks too many dumb questions that your brain just want to disconnect.
Or when you simply don't want to train yet Goku doesn't understand why since training is literally all his life so he could be overwhelming without knowing it.
So you see theses excuses we use when we're too lazy to go out with friends? That was your first thought.
You'll sick to not train since it's the only way to escape training you found yet.
With how dumb he is, you could easily avoid the senzu beans solution.
Unless someone reminds him about it... ( Either it's Krillin, Yamcha etc... )
When learning who told him about it you'll always have a grudge against them.
You'll always be able to count on Bulma though!! Since she knows how men could be such a pain.
Y'all are besties forever and goes shopping at least once in the month (She's such a generous BFF she'll pay for everything)
You both always gossip.
However, Goku hates the days when you go hang out with Bulma.
He's just so bored.. Even if he can train, nap and eat as much as he'd like which is supposed to be his favourite hobbies it won't help..
He just has the need urge to see you!!
So sometimes, when he knows where you and Bulma hangs out, he'll randomly pop up out of nowhere with the Nimbus cloud.
Disappointed, Bulma still gets the message and sometimes will leave you two alone.
"Huh leaving already Bulma? You usually stay longer!" You exclaimed confused as why she was packing up so early.
"Sorry n/n! I just remembered I have a special meeting with some scientists!! Here's the money to pay for the addition. See ya!!" Bulma said in a rush as she left too much money on the table.
"Hold on Bulma you-" You were about to yell so she could take the money back before Goku interrupted you, putting a hand on your shoulder.
"It's too late Y/n she's already gone now! Why don't you accept the money?" Goku said with his usual innocent which made you sigh in disbelief. Yet you didn't felt like scolding him right now you were too tired.
"I hope you don't want us to spar or train right now.. I'm too lazy." You mumbled with an irritated voice not wanting to deal with that right now.
"Heheee.. I just wanted to see you!!" Goku chuckled with his usual goofy smile that you started to like so much (But you didn't wanted to admit it yet...)
"You interrupted me and Bulma for that?.."
"But she has to go anyways!!"
"... Fair point."
Too lazy to argue further you just decided to let him win only this time. Since it was very late and you are the laziest person ever.
"Oh!" You heard Goku yell and wondered what that was about.
"Hm? What's up?" You asked him wanting to know what's on his mind.
"How about I take you on a ride home on the Nimbus? We'll get to watch the stars together!!" Goku said patting the Yellow cloud beside him.
"I guess I wouldn't mind..." You said as a small smile appears on your face.
Knowing that only pure-hearted people can go on it you decided to put a hand on the Nimbus and not to your surprise it went through it. Goku seemed very surprised though.
"How? You're one of the kindest person I know!!" Goku frowned wondering why that didn't work but you just chuckled at how innocent and cute dumb he was.
"That's not how it works Goku.."
"How does it works then?"
"I'll explain you another day. I'm too lazy right now... But what do we do now??
After your question, Goku put a hand on his chin thinking about a solution. He found it faster that what you were expecting.
" What about you get on my lap?" Goku said smilling innocently which made you blush.
"Why are you all red so suddenly Y/n??" You just brush it off not wanting to break his innocence of the poor guy.
"Just forget it alright? I'll go on your lap."
Goku chuckles in happiness hearing this. He wasted no time sitting on the Nimbus cloud and putting you on his lap.
He also took the opportunity to place his chin on your head. Which made you blush a little.
"Ready Y/n ?" Goku said Holding your waist. Too lazy as always you just nodded with a hum.
The Nimbus started to make it's way towards your home, as you took the opportunity to watch the beauty of the sky.
Goku smiled at your amazement, he found you so cute.
" Like what you're seeing Y/n?" Goku asked, his happiness obvious in his voice.
However, he heard nothing.
"Y/n ??" Goku asked looking at you just to find you asleep.
Oh well... He was already happy having you in his arms
He made a big detour to enjoy this moment even if you were sleeping.
Oh my god this took much longer than expected... The way I decided to randomly write headcanons out of nowhere instead of finishing my homeworks is wild. I hope y'all will like this!! If not I'll probably kms but it was very fun to write though!!
Will maybe do that another time if I don't forget this account 😭😭
Take care <33

Things in Good Omens 2 I still find weird after maaaaany rewatches
Yep, brace yourselves, it's exactly what's in the title:
Maggie making the spelling mistake ("urgrency") in one of the very first scenes of S2.
It is in the very first scene set in the present day. It is the first time we are presented to Maggie. And the spelling mistakes being very much connected to demons all through the season (specially in The Ball episode, with the note about the "angles" and Shax spelling "T-O-S-T-E", not to mention Furfur mispelling Aziraphale's name in 1941).
It is stands out so much because Maggie's mispelling is never brought up again, but the demons' is. And again, it was the audience's first contact with Maggie (even if she is offscreen). It might be just a callback joke (which does not make much sense to me, to be honest), it might be just red herring, or it might be to reinforce the "Maggie is a mirror to Crowley" theory (which does not make much sense to me either, because while Crowley is/was demon, we never see him making spelling mistakes himself).
I'm honestly at loss about what was the intention here. Seens to specific to be just random, given the demons do it many times. My best guess is that it is pure and intentional red herring, to mess with us. But then again, what for?
Miss Cheng (specially in E5S2, "The Ball")
Since my first watch, the brief scene when Miss Cheng is entering the Bookshop for Aziraphale's thinly disguised excuse to have a Jane Austen ball, she has a very... particular look in her face. It is when the weather is getting darkier e gloomier, resembling Michael Jackson's "Thriller" videoclip, because Shax and her "legion" of demons are arriving. The thing is, Miss Cheng does not look afraid at all, or even like she is suspecting something is going on. Miss Cheng looks suspicious herself! I feel like this scene is off in so many levels. First of all, it did not need to be included at all. So why add this scene to the final cut? Miss Cheng does not have a very clear role in the narrative, while all the other shopkeepers have at least something that not only sets them apart from everyone else, but adds something to the narrative and/or callbacks something else in the series.
Beside the obvious Nina and Maggie, Ms Sandwich brings to the table the comical relief, Mr Brown is there to set the excuse for the Jane Austen ball, Mr Arnold provides the fancy classical music for the ball AND the Doctor Who jokes, Justine is an excuse to bring up Aziraphale's bad French again, and give us a callback to the Bastille scene in S1, and Mutt is a callback to the magic shop shown in the zombie minisode.
But Miss Cheng on the other hand brings none of those things. We don't even get to see what is her bussiness. Of course, her scene discussing Ms Sandwich's work is a delight, but honestly, it could have been any other character asking about Ms Sandwich's job. And opportunity to have Ms Sandwich ask what Miss Cheng's work was there, but it was not taken.
Now, the only other scene Miss Cheng is in focus is in the very end of E6S2, when Maggie and Nina decide to sit down with Crowley to have The Talk. Nina asks Miss Cheng to look after the coffeeshop for a few minutes. Again, seens kinda random to have Miss Cheng there, and I really think this specific scene, by itself, might not have any further meaning. But when viewed along her other scenes (and specific lack of better fleshing out, which was given to all other shopkeepers), it just seens weird. Again, might just be a red herring to mess with us, but Miss Cheng is presented in a very sus way.
Aziraphale not having a replacement
Odd phrasing, I know, but I could not find better words to describe it. We are presented very early on to Shax, who is replacing Crowley in his former job in Hell. Shax is an important character all through the season, yet we never get a hint at who is replacing Aziraphale's job vacancy. We don't even get a hint if there is a replacement, or if it was decided Heaven would not be replacing him. We just get radio silence about who is Heaven's representative in London now, or if something happed to that position and why. Maybe if Shax simply did not exist, it wouldn't have bothered me. But since she does, and it is made clear many times that she has Crowley's former job, it stands out to me that nothing is ever said or even alluded about Aziraphale's former job position.
There are some other things that stand out to me, but these are the more obvious ones to me. I would be delighted to hear other people's takes on these matters, as I might have missed something. Oh well, I guess here is my first piece of Good Omens meta.

A/N: it’s been like MONTHS since I’ve written so sorry for literally disappearing, but thank you all for the love! Love you all. Sorry for how long this took to get out… but I’m finally finishing it at like 1am after so many weeks… so please excuse any spelling errors! Tysm. I adore all of you xx

Pinky promise
You knew it was a dangerous mistake. You shouldn’t of been so ambitious. But Negan deserved death and you believed you could kill him… but it all became clear that it was a mistake. You had made a dangerous and incredibly stupid decision and you knew as soon as you got home Rick and Daryl would certainly have a go at you if not kill you then and there for being so reckless. You knew you were absolutely insane for doing something so unthinkable but Negan had to die. Rick was taking his sweet time and Negan was just going to get stronger, and that scared you, so you wanted to take it into your own hands and kill the man yourself…
And so here you were gun in hand, pointing it at the clear sheet covering the back of the truck your finger trembling slightly as you waited for the voices to get closer. “There isn’t enough in the truck, we’ll have to go out again. Get more supplies and shit. Alexandria is so big yet they can’t even supply us enough shit.” “Yeah… don’t know why Negan won’t just kill them all. That way we can actually have a good home…” the voices spoke back and forth and you tightened your hold on the gun jaw clenched tightly watching as the blurry figures got closer and as a hand poked in through the clear sheet you pulled the trigger bullets spitting out as the men began shouting, followed by multiple ‘thuds’ proving you had killed a few of the bastards, you continued shooting, even as you jumped out of the truck the bullets flying around mercilessly- some saviours dropping to the floor, dead, and others just falling for the sake of their lives. Your eyes were narrowed as you breathed heavily your teeth slightly gritted together before suddenly a body shoved against yours, Dwight knocking you down onto your back, your gun falling from your hand as you groaned out glaring at the man. “Y/n….” A voice sung out, mockingly and your eyes snapped to meet with Negans. His hazel eyes gleamed with amusement, Lucille lightly hung over his shoulder as he grinned at you “didn’t I get my point across to you before that I really do not appreciate my people being killed…” he spoke your eyes narrowing as you scowled at him. He was a rotten bastard and deserved to be knocked down a peg or two, and so that’s why you abruptly tried to grab your gun again only for Dwight to kick it out of the way “not so fast” he muttered glaring down at you, Negan staring at you the amusement seemingly growing further and further before he exhaled
“I like you, you don’t mess around do you? You just do… I like that…” he smirked before stopping just in front of you holding his hand out for you to take “you’ve actually got balls… unlike someone else we know.” He spoke that stupid fucking grin remaining on his face and you just glared hoping to punch his teeth in, but instead you reached out, grabbing his outstretched hand before he leaned back pulling you up with his movement as you got onto your feet your eyes boring into his with anger “we were planning on heading to Alexandria today so you’re in luck. I’ll get you home safely.” “Rick isn’t home. He’s out.” You spoke, that wasn’t the truth, rick was at home but you didn’t want to see him… not when you know he will indefinitely be beyond mad at you. “Oh isn’t he? How disappointing. Guess I’ll have to wait around with you then huh?” And that’s when you realised just how much you had screwed up… Negan wasn’t going to kill you because he knew that Rick was going to get angry at you… “god dammit…” you whispered under your breath, Negan smiling still before he turned around “c’mon. Follow me. I’ll give you a tour of the sanctuary…” and so that’s exactly what happened, you were shown around, introduced to a few scary people and then given some food much to your surprise… it was odd. Being looked after for by your friends’ killer. It made you feel sick but what made you feel even sicker was what was happening right now… you were sat in the truck beside Negan, driving down the familiar road leading to Alexandria. Your heart was drumming in your chest your face pale and lips slightly parted… you were in deep shit and you knew it.
Breathing soon became nonexistent, your lips slightly parted eyes wide as you watched multiple people on outpost begin to shout… oh dear god. Heavy breaths slowly left your lips your eyes filled with complete fear… sure Daryl being angry at you was enough but Rick too- you couldn’t handle both of their wrath’s. You didn’t even want to experience it but you knew you were going to experience it. “Are you coming into to talk to them?” You soon asked glancing at the man, his hands which were warmed by the leather gloves he wore squeezed at the steering wheel and he grinned at you soon shoving his foot onto the brakes the truck coming to a screeching halt just in front of the gates leading into Alexandria “nah, kid. That isn’t my shit to do. You pulled a stupid fuckin’ decision and now you’re gonna face the consequences. I told you I don’t ap-“ “appreciate you killing my men I know.” You cut him off glaring into his eyes the man looking somewhat impressed before he raised his brows “at least you can learn.” He chuckled out looking forwards as the gate was slowly pulled open “go on then, your friends are waiting.” He spoke and you looked to the gate as well seeing Rick, hands on his hips, jaw tightly clenched and eyes a sea of worry. You glanced back to Negan knowing he wasn’t going to help before you pushed the door open only for the asshole to grab your wrist forcing you to stop “you not gonna thank me for bringing you home safe and sound?” He asked with a cocky grin and you glared at him “thank. you.” You spat out through gritted teeth and he smirked “you’re welcome.”
You then jumped out of the truck before storming towards the gate of Alexandria your eyes landing on Rick and a very infuriated yet terrified looking Daryl but you ignored them- you didn’t want to deal with their anger right now. “Y/n where the hell have you been?” Rick asked, hands remaining on his hips his eyes practically piercing into your soul yet you refused to speak or even look at him because well… let’s face it… he was terrifying. “Y/n where the hell do ya think you’re goin’ huh?” Daryl soon asked gruffly and you glanced at him “home. You wanna give me a lecture. Fine. But not in front of everyone.” You snapped, both men sharing a look, as if questioning whether you had really just used that tone with them but nonetheless they followed after you, you attempted to slam the front door but Rick was quick to catch it before it could latch “cut that attitude out right now, y/n.” Rick spoke calmly his body language however far from calm “I don’t understand why you’re both so unhappy! Jesus Christ can’t I try and help out!” Rick and Daryl stood side by side shoulders brushing against each other and Rick tilted his head slightly “do you realise how incredibly foolish it was to go out there and do… whatever you did… do you?” He raised his brows his blue eyes piercing into your soul and you rolled your eyes “ah ah, no, y/n, eyes on me.” He demanded and you looked at him “you aren’t hearing me- you could’ve been killed. What you did was very stupid. Irresponsible.” He spoke and you glared into his eyes “well I wasn’t! I’m here- am I not? I’m fine!” Daryl then took a step forwards “enough. It doesn’t matter whether you’re fine or not. What matters is the fact that you pulled some stupid death wish shit…” his eyes searched yours before he shook his head “it was stupid. You might’ve been helping or thinking you were helping… but what would we do if Negan brought back your dead body huh?” Daryl asked and you looked away, uncomfortable at that question, because you knew there was no right answer to such a question
“What did you do?” He soon asked and you looked back at him “machine gunned down a bunch of his men.” You murmured shamefully as you looked down, Daryl almost unresponsive whereas Rick was immediately pinching the bridge of his nose his eyes squeezed shut before he exhaled loudly showing his pure discomfort of the entire situation “oh my god…” he squeezed his eyes shut even more before looking at you “how irresponsible are you? Are you unaware of the fact that Negan has killed many people from this community?” Ricks tone was dangerous, frustrated, bordering on the line of anger and protectiveness “what do I have to do to get it through to you that we’re working together to make this safe! We’re doing everything we can y/n,” “no we aren’t! What about the lives we promised we’d get justice for! Have they just all gone down the drain?! We can’t just keep up this bullshit! Either he dies or we die! He’s overpowering us Rick! We need to do som-“ Rick soon held his hand up at you “no! Don’t you-“ “y/n. You’re getting ahead of yourself.” The man reminded you and you breathed heavily your eyes rage full Daryl moving behind you as he slowly rubbed up and down your back trying to sooth you yet your whole body felt as if it was on fire “we get that you want to protect us and this community but-“ “no! It isn’t just that Rick! It isn’t! I want to get- I- I want…” your voice cracked as your heart began to slowly split into pieces ricks expression softening, sure he had seen you open up before but not like this… he hadn’t seen you like this often… nor had Daryl- it surprised both men. “Tell me.” Rick spoke taking a step forwards this time, as he slowly reached a hand out resting his hand atop of your shoulder “I-…. I…” Rick remained silent searching your eyes allowing you to take your time watching as your face contorted in all ways imaginable the anguish, pain and fear slowly creeping up on you “he killed Glenn! He killed Abraham! He killed our friends! Shouldn’t we be trying to kill him! He killed Glenn! He killed-… he killed the guy who saved your dumbass!” You yelled shoving his hand off of your shoulder, ricks expression showing the pain, he hadn’t fully healed- in fact he hadn’t healed at all. He hadn’t allowed himself to grieve anyone’s deaths but especially Glenn’s. Or Abraham’s. He was too busy being a leader. Too busy taking care of his people.
“Y/n we can’t change that… I’m sorry… but we can’t… but what we can’t change either is the fact that if you died we would’ve lost a key part of Alexandria…-“ “we’ve already lost a key part!” Your voice cracked and Daryl stared at you “you’re both bullshit! I can take care of myself! Why don’t you think I can’t take care of myself?!” Your voice grew angrier before you ran off upstairs Rick running a hand over his face and Daryl just watching you run off “don’t go after her…” he shook his head “let her cool off. And you cool off too” Rick spoke and Daryl nodded knowing he was right. He needed to calm down… if he didn’t he would’ve said something he regretted.
A couple of minutes passed- maybe five, or even ten, before Daryl was sent up to console you. You didn’t even hear him come in but you felt the bed dip down before you heard his soft breathing “I did what I thought was best.” You spoke more softly and Daryl nodded “I know… but it was also…” “stupid I know… don’t need to tell me again…” you murmured softly and Daryl exhaled softly “you know we just care about you. That’s why we’re so worried about you… you matter to us.” His hand rubbed up and down your back slowly and gently as you remained curled up in a ball arms wrapped around yourself weakly his touch soft and caring, his rough calloused hands rough against your skin but you didn’t care. He was comforting you… that’s all that really mattered.
“I just-… why do you keep treating me like a damn child?” You asked clearly upset about that and Daryl frowned slightly his stern features growing more soft as he saw the true confusion and frustration in your eyes “because we’ve lost people, Y/n…. Glenn, Abraham, Sophia, Dale, Hershel, Merle, Olivia… too many people to count..” he fell silent before speaking again not allowing you to say anything “and we can’t lose someone else. The stakes are set high. I wouldn’t know what to do if I lost you, Y/n. Rick wouldn’t either… today was stupid… sure you did what you thought was best but it was a little bit silly… but there’s always room for improvement” your head slowly turned to look at him a small smile tugging at your lips before you laughed softly “who knew you could be so sentimental, Dixon” you murmured and he stared at you unamused “I’m being serious,”
You smiled softly “I know… but I promise I won’t do this again alright? It was stupid… I know but it won’t happen again…” Daryl stared at you with a ‘yeah, sure’ look before you rolled your eyes soon holding your hand out towards him sticking your pinky out at him “fine. Pinky promise…” you raised your brows the older man staring a softness soon consuming his eyes before a little smile tugged at his lips, shaking his head but nonetheless he locked his pinky with yours
“Pinky promise.”

finished gideon the ninth and i am just. i am thinking abt a conversation i had the other day. (you must excuse the spelling mistakes it 3:35am and i have to be up at 10:30 for a doctors appointment so like fuck it well ball or smth) and the conversation was along the lines of if we were in the same house would we be a necromancer/cavalier duo. and while we agreed that id be the necromancer to her cavalier, im just. i haven’t stopped thinking. i care about her so much. i say this in the most platonic way i can get this across. if she were to be the necromancer and asked me to be her cavalier i would drop everything in a heart beat. i would train to the best that i could be so i could be the best for the both of us if not at minimum her. i know that if she, just like if it was me, was the necromancer despite the “one flesh one end” she would not be able to ask that of me. she would not achieve lyctorhood because she values the lives of people important to her, and even just the lives of others, in general so much. so much more than her own. it’s why, respectfully, she would be the cavalier. she cares enough for her own life though, don’t get me wrong she’s not fully forgetting her own worth in the universe. but, i just can’t help but wonder if it was reversed. if we thought it the best course of action, if we studied it enough, i would give myself to her for her to become a lyctor. i would. no questions asks if i thought it would benefit her. i know if we were both in that same situation at the end of the book, i think i know what call we would both make. i think we’re on the same page but it’s possible we aren’t. i just. how do you express to someone that if “one flesh one end” were to hold the same meaning in this world that does in the fictional one that you would say it with your full chest and pinkie outstretched so she’d know you were being (semi-) serious. that you’d say it to her in a heart beat.
sometimes i worry that maybe there will come a day where we part ways and i can only hope it’s on the best of terms. for often times i think that if soulmates could exist in such a world, the one we live in, i would like to believe that is something we could use to describe us. one flesh, one end if that it what she wishes to be
well. if she doesn’t see this by the time i remember it got posted, so be it. it’s not my full thinking but i’m so tired there’s not really any thought at all anymore.

okay so here’s the post match analysis from ln:
a 3-0 win after a draw against palace n a loss against arsenal should be something we should be like yay this is amazing it’s exactly what we need. well ur wrong bc yes we won 3-0 but that was a horrific performance all around, we got very lucky that forest are too shit last night.
wout weghorst’s goal was the exact reason why we signed him rather than a proper more versatile striker, he’s a box striker who can capitalise quickly when given the chance hence his goal. the attack as a whole played very good but antony? again the less said about antony the better. i’m just hoping that he gets his shit together n with pellistri playing they way he is, i’m hoping it will be like shaw this season who upped his game bc he didn’t want to lose out to malacia in the starting 11
i think pellistri should he go on loan will be a massive mistake bc yes ik he’s young but that will be his second loan spell and i genuinely think ten hag should use him more especially in games like last night and against reading on saturday. he played extremely well last night and he’s very exciting when he’s on the ball n he got close to goal quite a few times last night which was really good to see.
moving onto the midfield, can’t really blame them too much. casemiro again showing why he’s world class and eriksen again was great but my only issue with the midfield is that it just needs that extra depth that eriksen doesn’t offer. but i would take those two over mcfred any day of the week
now onto the defence. lisandro martinez baby ur fucking amazing, you really lived up to the butcher nickname once again n i truly love u for that but just one tiny little request? STOP USING UR HEAD WHEN U ALREADY HAVE STITCHES U SILLY FOOL. nah i’m just kidding keep using it bby xx
malacia as per was amazing but lindelöf and wan bissaka?? bro ur days are both numbered. both such liabilities n wallahi if i were ten hag i would’ve slapped them two dense fucks so hard by now. idk which fraud they are using bc those two are not professional footballers at all n we need to stop pretending that they are
david de gea that was much better than sunday, u actually caught the ball n didn’t actually make many mistakes last night, i’m glad but again bro pls just be more consistent, ur making too many mistakes n u literally have zero excuses anymore bc ur so fucking experienced too
overall a solid 7.9/10 from the reds, onto reading on saturday for the fa cup!
#see even when we do well there is still cracks in the system#this team is not perfect at all#h talks united

[ad_1] Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir after series loss at the SCG (PC: Debasis Sen) Boria Majumdar in Sydney Gautam Gambhir mentioned at the press conference that India had their moments and not having Jasprit Bumrah wasn’t an excuse. Yes, it shouldn’t be an excuse. But the truth is that the Indian bowling without Bumrah was listless. On a pitch where a 30-over-old ball did the trick for Australia and the ball moved and jumped all morning, India sprayed it all over and couldn’t make use of the conditions. Make no mistake, this wicket had a lot in it. Also, the same Indian bowling attack had picked the last five Australian wickets for 80 runs yesterday. Today, Australia were reduced to 65/3 at one point. You would expect Prasidh Krishna, who had picked all three wickets, to get on a roll and use the relatively new ball to best effect. It was his platform to be a hero. Instead, what we got from him was a very ordinary spell after lunch. Half-volleys, balls down the leg side, wide outside off stump; Prasidh could never bowl six balls with any kind of consistency. The result was that he kept leaking runs and handed the match to Australia. The same can be said of Mohammed Siraj. He had bowled very well in Australia’s second innings in Melbourne and was outstanding yesterday. Today, in the absence of Bumrah, he was to lead the charge. All we got was two shocking overs which allowed the hosts to get off to a flying start. And at no point did Siraj look half as threatening as yesterday. In sum, it has been a very ordinary series for him. While he does run in hard and puts in a lot of efforts, the truth is that the results aren’t there to show for. For the Latest Sports News: Click Here Virat Kohli with Jasprit Bumrah after the SCG Test (PC: Debasis Sen) All series the Indian bowling unit has lacked consistency. While Australia had Pat Cummins, Scott Boland and Mitchell Starc to back each other, India had Bumrah and no one. Siraj was there only sporadically and Bumrah suffered in the absence of any serious support. Australia’s fourth bowler was Boland – he replaced Josh Hazlewood. India’s fourth bowler was Nitish Kumar Reddy. Just compare the impact and the answer is clear. Also, India played Washington Sundar as an all-rounder. He was not given the ball for even an over in this game. He batted at No. 8 and it begs the question; why was he played? What was his role? If he was played as a batter, why not Dhruv Jurel? If he was played as an all-rounder, why not give him an over on a track that had cracks? Baffling team selections, lack of support for Bumrah, serious lack of application from senior batters like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, extremely poor game awareness from someone like Shubman Gill – India will look back at the tour as one of lost opportunities. In Melbourne, Australia were 94/6 in the second innings. If India closed them out for 140, they would be chasing 250. Australia ended up getting 240. In Sydney, the bowlers closed Australia for 181 in their first innings. India failed to capitalise on it. It is because at no point did India play as a collective. Individual brilliance can win you a game but can never win you a series. Justly, Bumrah was adjudged as the Player of the Series. And equally justly, Australia were the winners 3-1. It tells you how average or below-average the rest of the Indian team was. After the high of 2021, this has been a very poor effort. SHINSOU HITOSHI
two years after his enrollment into the hero course, shinsou had finally came to terms with the feelings he’s been holding for you for quite some time now.
what began as just friendly encounters and kind gestures felt like something more to him. after all, you were one of the key people that led him to transition smoothly into the class, with your helpful demeanor and coming to his aid whenever he was stressed and troubled by the new environment.
you went out of your way to organize study sessions and small arrangements to mingle and get to know the other students better.
you reiterated to him that if he ever had any questions about anything, he could always come to you.
initially, shinsou thought he was being a burden—that he was just heavy baggage that tied you down.
however, you assured he was anything but, and stated that you were more than happy to help him, even going to say you enjoyed spending time and getting to learn more about him.
at your response, shinsou was appalled at how genuine you were.
appalled… but also very grateful.
eventually, there came a point when he realized there was no mistaking the affection he felt for you—not when he subconsciously noted every one of your habits and intricacies, able to tell whatever emotions were running through you at a simple glance, or when he would stop to admire the way you decided to style your hair differently or changed your look, thinking you seemed even more charming that day by the confidence you exude.
no, at that point, he’s sure it was painfully obvious. so obvious, in fact, that kaminari and mina had chosen to skip today’s group study session in favor of letting the two of you have your “alone time”. whatever that could mean.
shinsou had grimaced over their excuse of “being too busy that day” when you had told him the reasoning they gave you over text, despite knowing their next exam was only a couple days away. recalling just how nosy and enthusiastic they could get when involved in these kinds of affairs, he had an inkling of what exactly those two were planning. you, on the other hand, seemed completely oblivious to their schemes.
however, what did latch onto your mind was the thought of spending the day with only shinsou, in his very room, sitting across from each other with your textbooks open in front of you. though you should be more attentive to your studies, you couldn’t help the palpitations beating loudly in your chest and your wandering eyes that snuck glances at him after every question you answered.
unbeknownst to you, shinsou mirrored your actions all the same, reciprocating the flustered behavior, albeit a bit more subtly.
keep calm, hitoshi. why are you getting all worked up? he would say to himself, putting on his usual facade.
although he came off as relatively calm and collected on the outside, it’s difficult to keep his emotions in check when actions never lie.
that was especially true as he reached his hand out for the eraser you two were sharing between each other. with his eyes continuing to gander down at his notes, he hadn’t noticed that you were lunging for the same thing—not until your fingers had suddenly touched and you both pulled away at a speed equivalent to making contact with fire.
his stare unfaltering, shinsou was surprised to discern the embarrassed look on your face that immediately fixed itself as you rummaged through your pencil pouch. a second later, you pulled out another eraser, one that was notably smaller than the one you were sharing.
“um.. i’ll just use this,” you offered, and shinsou rubbed the back of his neck, the whole situation more awkward than it needed to be considering you never had any trouble sharing your supplies with each other before.
through some examination of your demeanor, shinsou had made a… bold enough claim, thinking that maybe—just maybe—you held the same kind of affections for him as he did for you.
it’s like he recalled earlier—actions never lie—and shinsou didn’t let the quiver of your lips or the intense concentration at your work to avoid meeting his gaze go past his head. that’s what spurred him to finally act on his desires.
without warning, he leaned forward on his seat to lay his hand over yours that caught your attention. you met his eyes, astonished to say the least, but more so concerned by how your eyes widened before you were about to open your mouth to ask him what was wrong.
the violet-haired male beats you to your words, voice resonating firmly, “y/n.”
you blinked. “y-yeah..?”
“i know this might be a bit late coming from me, but,” you could feel his hand tighten atop yours, “after exams, do you want to catch a movie together? just the two of us?”
shinsou fought the urge to look away, bashful at how he made his declaration for your time. the warmth surging under his skin was alleviated at the smile that slowly curled on your lips as you rotate your wrist, your palm touching his. the expression washing over your features told him you’ve been waiting for him to ask you this for a while now.
“i’d love to.”
AMAJIKI TAMAKI
ever a shy and introverted individual, tamaki has never had the heart to ask you out despite years of harboring a crush on you.
every time the thought had crossed his mind, he’d reason poorly with himself that you wouldn’t be interested in him in that way.
it didn’t help that his low self-esteem only deepened that thought that had now rooted itself in his brain.
at such a prestigious school like u.a., you were bound to find someone far more compelling than him—someone with guts, confidence, and great social skills. not a guy like him who conjures the image of potatoes at every anxiety-inducing encounter he comes across.
he was relieved enough to settle himself comfortably as just your friend—a title that allowed him to stay close and keep within your circle, all the while subjecting him to simply admiring you from afar.
but his eyes that held a hidden longing for more weren’t overlooked by a fellow student of his. or to be precise, the ever curious and free-spirited, hadou nejire.
always aware of his surroundings, it was hard not to notice that peculiar stare she’d aim at him during moments where he might’ve just finished speaking to you, or when you’d pass by and his head would naturally drift in your direction.
it was like she was picking apart every detail laid on him and it made tamaki absolutely restless.
tamaki’s suspicions and anxiety were later raised during one instance at the lunch table. he was at his usual seat next to his other big three companions, mirio and the aforementioned nejire, who was eyeing him with a gleam in her eye.
even with his self-consciousness, tamaki did his best not to pay any mind to the undesired attention and munched on his plate of takoyaki—the octopus nestled in the batter sure to come in handy later in training that day.
to his dismay, you passed by their table with your tray of food in hand, and nejire did not waste any time calling you over in that cheery tone of hers.
she invited you to sit down with them. you gave her invitation some thought before ultimately placing yourself in the free spot next to mirio, with nejire and tamaki already seated across from you.
the girl was all smiles and hums while tamaki was in a state of distress, both at his friend’s odd behavior, which was starting to spell trouble, to having you pulled into all of this. mirio was just being mirio, welcoming as always.
you greeted everyone at the table, making eye contact with mirio and nejire, but tamaki evaded your line of sight. he simply waved his reply without breaking away from his balls of takoyaki.
luckily for him, you didn’t give his lack of words much thought and started digging into your own lunch. it was then that nejire found it appropriate to start up a conversation.
“y’know, y/n, i’ve been meaning to ask you this, from one girl to another,” she mused, finger waving around playfully, “are you interested in anyone here?”
upon hearing her question, tamaki almost choked on his bonito flakes, his cheeks puffed and eyes blown. meanwhile, your chewing slowed as you gave your answer some thought.
“uh… well–”
“i’d say fujita from class d is quite the looker! think you’d be interested in them?”
after swallowing the food in his mouth, tamaki began to subconsciously listen in on the conversation. he paid close attention to your responses with bated breath, a small part of him anticipating your answer highly.
“fujita’s nice and all, but i don’t think we’d really get along as a couple.”
tamaki mentally sighed, relief evident all over his face. it was then that mirio had started fitting the pieces together after watching his close friend’s brow wrinkle throughout the entire exchange before finally relaxing at your words. crossing his eyes with nejire’s only confirmed his suspicions as the girl sent him a wink.
as a friend, mirio wasn’t about to let nejire’s operations fall flat. getting up from his seat, he motioned tamaki to come with him.
“i heard they have extra yakisoba bread right now! we should go check it out!” he said as a guise to give the other two time to themselves, free from tamaki’s prying ears.
unaware that mirio had caught on so quickly, tamaki didn’t object to tagging along with him. mostly because he thought of this as an opportunity to get some fresh air and calm his racing heart, finally feeling the effects of the blood rushing to his face.
with tamaki supposedly out of earshot, nejire was free to go about her questions however she wanted.
“okay then, if not fujita, then who? there has to be someone, right?” the girl scooted further in her seat out of pure curiosity. “tell me, is it perhaps someone in our class?”
it was your turn to be stricken by her boldness. you tried picking at your food, stuffing it into your mouth to avoid answering, but nejire’s tenacity outmatched you.
finishing your lunch, you opened your mouth to speak, “actually, the person i’m interested in is pretty close to you…”
nejire feigned ignorance, innocently placing a finger under her chin. “who? mirio?”
“ah no, it’s tamaki, alright?!” you ended up blurting, voice hushed but frantic.
bingo. hearing exactly what she wanted, nejire returned to her original position, a triumphant grin plastered on her lips. replaying what you said out loud in your head, you buried your warm face in your hands.
unbeknownst to you, tamaki had ended up hearing the whole exchange around the corner coming back to their table as mirio lightly snickered at his revelation of an expression.
the blond patted his shoulder. “go on then, you know what to do.” he threw tamaki an encouraging thumbs-up.
the boy gulped in response before inhaling a deep breath of air to prepare himself for what would arguably be the most important yet stress-inducing moment of his life so far.
noticing you getting up to discard your tray, tamaki—through a final push from mirio—went to make his move.
hearing him suddenly call out to you, you were caught off-guard. after admitting to your crush on tamaki to nejire, you felt your cheeks get hot just seeing his face right afterward.
“oh hey, did you get your hands on those yakisoba breads?” you scraped up a way to start the conversation.
“right... that… mirio managed to get the last one in the cafeteria,” he answered. then he brought his hand to rub his elbow, fidgeting in his spot as he found it difficult to look you in the eyes again.
“tamaki? something wrong? are you upset that he got the last yakisoba bread?”
he shook his head. “no, i… it’s just… i’ve been meaning to ask you this for a long time now, but never had the courage to say it to you because i didn’t think you ever liked me that way. but…” he finally mustered the determination to face you head-on. “would you go out with me, y/n?”
at first, you were speechless—absent of words as you relayed his request in your mind over and over again. then, your eyes softened, lips easing into a smile as you reached out for his hand.
“i thought you’d never ask.”
TODOROKI SHOUTO
it’s no surprise to many that when it came to asking someone out, todoroki didn’t exactly know the first thing to do.
mostly because he’s never asked anyone out to begin with.
you were the first person he’s ever felt these kinds of emotions for, and to be frank, he wasn’t sure what to make of everything that had been going through him when that root of infatuation had started to bloom inside him.
rather than sulk or contemplate on his thoughts for too long, he surmised it was best to simply come clean and ask for advice.
but when he confessed to what had been on his mind lately, he wasn’t expecting such a vigorous response from his friends.
“i’ve been thinking about asking y/n out.”
there was a layer of uncomfortable silence amongst the group before all hell eventually broke loose.
midoriya, uraraka, and iida immediately sprung from their seats in the common room, yelling “what?!” in unison. tsuyu and her frog-like mannerisms were more idle, but still surprised nonetheless.
todoroki was unfazed by their reactions, actually expecting it to go that way considering he’s never brought up any topics of that nature before. at the very least, he’s thankful he decided to say this when it was just the five of them. compared to what the whole class’s reaction would have been like, this was incredibly tame.
todoroki was used to always listening to what others had to say and never being the subject of the conversation when it came to dating.
but now things were different. he was openly admitting to them that he was regarding someone romantically. that he possibly sought a relationship with this someone—wanting to be committed to them and become the very best person he could be right next to them. to the four, this was coming completely out of left field.
after everyone simmered down and let the news sink in, the dual-haired boy resumed his thought,
“but i’m not sure how to do it.”
though the entirety of the group never had any experiences when it came to dating, they knew enough from media and pop culture to get an idea on how to help him. more than todoroki could imagine on his own anyway.
“i know! how about we go with the romantic and suave approach!” uraraka suggested. the rest asked her to elaborate.
“it’s simple! it starts by you leaving a note on her desk right before class, saying to meet you on the rooftop of the school! before the designated time, you should wait there for her with a bouquet of flowers, and then when she arrives, confess your feelings and ask her out!”
midoriya rubbed a finger against his cheek, skeptical. “i don’t think that sounds as simple as you’re making it out to be.”
tsuyu chimed in beside him. “those kinds of ideas usually only work well in books, ochako.”
pursing her lips, uraraka gave her plan a once-over, and realized it did seem a bit more involved and out of character than what todoroki was used to.
despite sharing a few more ideas with one another, they couldn’t narrow it down to any perfect one.
that was when iida clapped his hand, bringing everyone’s attention to him.
“alright, i think we’re starting to blow this whole ‘operation’ way out of proportion,” he said.
“if you’re honest about the way you feel about her and show it sincerely, i’m sure she’ll consider your feelings. you don’t have to do anything extravagant when it comes to asking someone out.”
listening throughout every word, todoroki nodded. meanwhile the other three were astonished that their class representative could be so whimsical when it came to romance, which in turn, iida was conflicted by. however, at the very least he was glad they could help out a friend. and so, todoroki went about his day with their discussion in mind.
he found that in many occurrences, whenever he crossed by you and thought of it as a chance to ask you out, there would always be someone to come in and take your time away. leaving him to stand there awkwardly before dismissing the fated question for later.
eventually, the sky dimmed and evening arrived, and by then, the whole class was already back at their dormitory and about to have dinner.
through some rather convenient circumstances, you two were actually assigned on kitchen duty that night.
“it’s been getting pretty cold lately so i was thinking we should cook up a hot pot for everyone.” you gave your idea to him as you pulled out some ingredients from the fridge, waiting for his reply, but it came a few seconds later than you were expecting.
“right. sounds like a good idea,” todoroki answered a tad late. upon realizing it was only going to be the two of you making dinner tonight, his mind was occupied by what he and his friends spoke about earlier.
that was when he started overthinking the situation and absentmindedly half-assed his work.
“todoroki, the cut on the tofu is slightly uneven.” you reviewed his cutting board. looking down, he saw the inconsistent slices of tofu limp in front of him. if bakugou were the executive chef for the evening, he would’ve had to hear an earful from him.
“sorry…” he apologized quietly, reaching out for another cube of tofu to cut.
“is everything okay? i know you’re still learning how to cook, but i’ve seen you show some significant improvement on your knife skills recently.” you voiced your concern for him.
the white and red-haired boy stared at the white bean curd while hearing your worried tone and couldn’t find it within himself to continue the task. it was now or never he thought. he laid the knife flat on the cutting board.
“actually, i wanted to ask you something.” he turned toward you. “do you… want to go out with me?”
nothing but the sound of the fire running on the stove could be heard in the kitchen. todoroki didn’t move his eyes away from you, watching you nearly drop the plate of siu choy and shiitake mushrooms out of shock as your mouth was hanging open.
when you caught onto your bearings, you let out a small laugh. “oh… i… wasn’t expecting that,” you admitted honestly, placing the ingredients on the counter safely.
the boy furrowed his brows. “is that a no?”
“n-no! i mean that isn’t my answer! i–” you fumbled with your words, cheeks warming up now that his confession had finally sunk in. in the meantime, todoroki found your reaction quite amusing. the corner of his lip quirked into a grin.
“what i mean to say is that yes, i’d love to go out with you.” you accepted the offer wholeheartedly. todoroki would be lying if his heart wasn’t throbbing from anticipation. he’s glad he’s able to rest and put that aside.
“now let’s continue making this hot pot together!” you cheered, smiling widely and he found comfort in your words before resuming slicing the tofu.

Mafia!BTS Reaction: You’re The Only One Who Can Calm Him Down (Rap Line)
Requested by anonymous
Sorry for any grammar / spelling mistakes
Kim Namjoon
“How the fuck do you manage to ‘misplace’ $50,000!?”
Your boyfriend’s enraged voice bellowed in his office, directing his anger towards his puny men who were most likely cowering before him.
You stood outside the door, chewing on your bottom lip nervously. You knew better than to interfere with Namjoon’s business, but situations have been too dire for you just to sit back and let his emotions consume him.
“We .. We don’t know—”
The sickening sound of a gun’s safety being clicked off made you burst open the doors to the confined office.
“Get out. All of you,” you ordered to Namjoon’s men, making your way to your significant other.
The men didn’t hesitate to listen, each one scurrying as fast as they could away from their murderous boss. Once standing in front of him, you carefully pulled the pistol from his grasp, setting it down with a gentle clank, onto his wooden desk.
“I was busy dealing with a situation, baby. I warned you how many times not to get involved?”
Moving your hands up to his face, you cupped his cheeks, gently grazing your thumb across the skin.
“I know, Joonie,” you mumbled, slowly moving your hands up to his hair, “But you need to calm down before you make any rash decisions.”
Letting out a sigh, his shoulders slumped, releasing the built up stress inside him. He snaked his arms around your waist, pulling your body closer to his. His lips found their way to yours, engulfing them in a passionate kiss. Seconds ticked by before he finally pulled away, resting his forehead on yours.
“You’re lucky I love you.”
Min Yoongi
Such idiotic men he hired. They had one job. One. To make sure the gun shipment was delivered to their warehouse safely. But they lost everything. Every last illegal firearm.
You sat beside Yoongi in his office, observing the way his hands formed into tight fists, his knuckles morphing into a snowy white colour.
“W-We are sorry, but the situation was out of our control. We got ambushed-”
The sudden motion of Yoongi’s balled up fist slamming down onto his desk abruptly cut off his subordinates pathetic explanation.
“I’m sorry, did I ask you for any excuses?”
Yoongi’s voice was eerily calm, contradicting his previous action. Meekly shaking their heads under his authoritative aura, the shrunk back, nervously waiting for their consequences.
That’s when you stepped in, wrapping your hand overtop of your enraged fiancé’s. Interlacing your fingers, you brought his hand up to the softness of your cheek.
“Yoongi,” you whispered, “You’re running out of men to hire, especially if you kill these ones. Give them a chance to redeem themselves, yeah?”
A long pause of silence ticked by before he sigh slipped passed Yoongi’s lips. He glanced at you, observing the way you gently held his hand in your own. He could feel his merciless mood beginning to melt away under the warmth of your touch.
“.. Fine. They have twenty-four hours to bring back every single weapon they managed to lose. If they fail, I won’t be giving out anymore chances.”
Jung Hoseok
“Get her out of here!”
This was not how you planned your night of careless fun ending up. It was suppose to be filled with drinking, dancing, and games, but once shooting erupted from somewhere in the club, the night came crashing down.
People scurried everywhere, letting out screams of horror, all desperately trying to avoid the string of flying bullets. At this point, there was only one single objective for Hoseok: to get you out unscathed.
The man in charge of your safety temporarily disobeyed Hoseok’s only order, stopping in his tracks to fireback at an unknown shooter. His actions causing a bullet to fly passed your head.
Only missing it’s target by a mere 3 inches.
Taking that as a sign to stop stalling, Hoseok’s subordinate pulled you through the emergency exit in the club, leading you far away to an abandoned parking lot.
It didn’t take long for your fiancé to show up, his gun securely clutched in his hand. He stalked towards the man at your side, a murderous glint shining in his eyes.
“What the fuck was that, huh,” Hoseok growled, “I told you to get her out of there, not to stop and almost get her killed!”
Sensing there was about to be more unwanted bloodshed, you rushed forward, wrapping your arms tightly around Hoseok’s body.
“Calm down, Hobi, please. I’m fine, okay? Don’t hurt him. He still got me out unharmed.”
Hoseok’s menacing ambience slightly faltered at your pleading voice, but his body still remaining tense.
“Please,” you tried again, moving away just enough to cup his cheek.
His eyes shifted to you as he exhaled, moving one of his arms to wrap around your waist while his free hand moves to holds yours against his cheek.
“Fine,” he whispered, “Only for you.”
His gaze shifted back to his unnerved subordinate, his features twisting back to the stone-cold ones from seconds before.
“You better drop to your knees and thank my kind little angel, you lowlife bastard. She’s the only reason why there isn’t a bullet lodged in your skull.”

Mere Acquaintances
main masterlist
SUMMARY: “Our siblings are in an arranged marriage and so we see each other at awkward social gatherings between our two kingdoms” AU
WARNINGS: there might be a swearword?
WORD COUNT: 1439
A/N: uhmmm this is my entry for @ladyvesuvia 's writing challenge... hope you like it (i suck at writing royal aus because i can't make it 'royal' lmao)
How exciting, you thought to yourself the first time your brother announced his betrothal to the daughter of the adjacent kingdom's king. You knew he was completely enthralled by her and you heard stories from your very own brother about how the two of them got along just perfectly.
You had never been favorable to arranged marriages, but, once you saw that sparkle in your brother's eyes, you couldn't have been happier for him.
How exciting, that was until you had to actually meet the princess. She was lovely, exactly what you wished for your brother, but her brother was a completely different story.
You had met him few times actually, just a few awkward encounters with the young man whenever you were both forced to attend your parents' gatherings.
To get along, they said. You tried your best to appear friendly and open, that much could not be said about Draco Malfoy, the royal pain in the ass.
He never once looked at you unless it was with an air of superiority. You exchanged three words in total since you met him and those three, brief words were "So, how-"
"No."
You decided not to conversate with him anymore, not that you cared; the man was so full of himself he probably did not need you to entertain him since he had his own company.
Royal parties were spent in silence: you made polite conversation whenever required, but didn't despise the quietness that created once you were left alone for it did help you ponder.
In those moments, your favoured object of interest was him. You were not watching him because you liked him, that be clear. You were analyzing him: he was arrogant, yes, but there must have been something more; no one can be that shallow.
He looked just like any prince should have looked like; regal. But with a touch of stiff excellence that made him always stand out. He looked displaced among his peers, almost as if deeply inside he wished not to be a part of it.
He looked just the same that day, blank expression on his elegant features, carried around with such poise you wondered why everyone's eyes weren't directed towards him.
He caught your eye, an action that made heat rise to your cheeks and that made your gaze quickly settle on something else. That something turned out to be the ballroom, full of couples dancing and cheerily talking with one another.
You noticed your brother, waltzing with her betrothed. He looked happy, genuinely happy; that smile was one you had not seen on his face since you were children and-
"Lady y/n." the sudden voice reaching your ears made you jump slightly, you were not expecting such a deep baritone to greet you.
You turned around to find him in front of you. You narrowed your eyes, unsure of the situation you had just witnessed, unsure of the reason why he had approached you.
"Would you join me for a dance?" you couldn't believe your ears, they must have been deceiving you.
His expression was the same as always, you couldn't decipher whether the proposal he had just made was truthful or just pure amusement for him to see the disheveled state his simple question had put you in.
He offered you his hand and your first instinct was obviously to refuse it, what kind of gentleman ignores someone all the time and then asks said them to dance out of the blue?
But there was something inside of you that wanted to dance with him, that wanted to take his sophisticated hand and let it guide you towards the ballroom.
"We shouldn't." you uttered and his hand fell promptly, an emotion unknown to you crossed his face but he quickly shrugged it off. "It's our siblings' ball, we shouldn't steal their spotlight."
"By dancing?" he asked, slightly chuckling.
"Yes, by dancing." you tried to sound convincing, but you could sense he had seen right through you.
You returned your gaze to the ballroom, a feeling of regret harbouring in your mind.
You felt him come closer, his body heat slowly engulfing you, but you refused to turn towards him.
"They won't mind, princess." his voice was low and enchanting as if he was performing some kind of magic spell upon you. And it was working.
"They will."
"They won't." he said offering his hand again, his lips breaths away from the shell of your ear and you felt chills running down your spine at the words spoken so closely in such a public space, under everyone's eyes. "They are too busy contemplating the happy couple to care about anything else."
You gave him a sideways glance; a terrible mistake because his eyes were now piercing yours, making it impossible to refuse the proposal.
You took his hand, entwining your fingers with his, and it felt so natural, so instinctive, as if it were an everyday procedure.
He led you among the other couples, the stares the two of you received were of no importance as he held your hand tightly in his, as if he was scared you could have regretted the action.
"Wait, wait! What are you doing?" you suddenly stopped, common sense finding its way back in your brain but it was not enough for you to leave his hand.
He furrowed his brows, creasing his ethereal face in question.
"Why now? Why are you suddenly so interested in me?" your face earnest, your eyes pleaded for any excuse.
But he remained silent, his icy stare penetrating your orbs with such intensity you felt your legs trembling slightly. His grip threatened to loosen but you held him, refusing to let him leave you alone like he had done countless times before.
"What are you doing?" you asked again.
He opened his mouth to reply, his hard look fell along with his feigned arrogance, letting a new face emerge: it was him but he was so different you could have easily mistaken him for someone else.
"I'm trying to be nice, we are supposed to get along... I didn't think it was this much of a deal, princess." he replied, the insolence rapidly coming back. He tried to let go of your hand but you were adamant; he would have given you a reason whether he wanted to or not.
"That's not it."
"Do you think you know everything, princess?" he kept on adding that last word with such spite, as if it was you who randomly decided to save him from the boredom of the royal ball with the excuse of a dance between mere acquaintances.
"I do think there is something you are not telling me, prince." he visibly stiffened but the corners of his mouth gave you the opposite impression, as if he finally felt at ease for the first time ever with you.
"You are wrong."
"Am i, prince?"
With speed similar to that of light, he took your waist in his grasp, still holding your hand with his own, your faces now embarrassingly close as you swayed on the dance floor.
You felt his chest rise up and down against yours but he refused to fully meet your eyes, instead searching for something in your face that he already deemed impossible to find.
"Am i?" you repeated, tentatively.
"No, no you're not." he spoke slowly but somehow hurriedly, as if he didn't want to let the words escape his mouth because once they were out it meant they would have been real, thus meaning his feelings couldn't be denied any longer.
"Then tell me. What are you doing?" your tone was soft and careful, but a touch of impulsiveness was still audible.
"We're dancing, aren't we?" he said smugly, his gaze focusing on the guests that were now watching the two of you very intently. "Maybe we shouldn't have, we are attracting a lot of attention."
You frantically turned your head to look at all the people watching but his firm grip returned you to his eyes. "Don't look at them, princess, look at me."
You couldn't describe it but all the days he had spent ignoring you vanished as he spoke to you so softly. But you needed an answer.
"Why are you doing this?" sincerity lacing your tone, he couldn't help but smile and sigh.
"I fancied you since the first moment, y/n, but i thought it would have been seen as inappropriate to get closer to my sister's fiancé's sister." you giggled lightly, rolling your eyes.
"It might be, but i'm glad you changed your mind, then."

Chapter 7: Each Our Own Person (Sirius Black x Fem!reader)
Summary: Life throws a curve ball at you and Sirius when his parents find out the two of you are “dating”.
Warnings: angst, family issues, insecure reader and insecure Sirius, let me know if I’m missing any. Also there’s probably spelling mistakes, sorry.
Word count: 1.3k
A/n: I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am for all of you readers. I haven’t been as active as I would like and you have all been so patient and so supportive with your sweet messages, it warms my little heart. Thank you, I hope you enjoy this chapter.
There’s a pounding at your door. It’s so loud that you let out a startled yelp. You grab your wand and sneak down the stairs.
“(Y/n)? Open up, it’s Sirius!” Shouts his ragged voice through the door. You let the arm with your wand drop to your side with a relieved sigh before opening the door for him.
“What’s all the ruckus about?” You tease with a sweet smile. “Oh.” You whisper worriedly at the sight of Sirius. The sleeves of his white button down are rolled over his elbows, his crimson red tie is crookedly loosened and his hair is disheveled from constantly and anxiously combing through it.
“Sirius, are you okay?” Your voice is gentle, laced with concern. Sirius immediately falls into your arms, tucking his head into the crook of your neck. Without a second thought, you wrap your arms around him.
“I’m so sorry (y/n).” His voice is so small.
“What are you talking about? What happened?” You ask in a hurry. You run a hand through his hair, worried your tone isn’t soft enough.
Sirius sighs as he pulls himself out of your arms. “My family hosted an event tonight. I neglected telling my parents about us, because, well, we’re not actually a thing.”
You hate how simply he states it but you can’t argue with the fact. You sternly nod once, encouraging him to continue. You walk Sirisu into your living room and nudge him to settle into a large armchair. You take a seat on the foot rest between his legs.
“I didn’t know your parents were going to be there.” You feel a shiver of panic run through you. “Just wait, it gets worse.” He says, probably from the look on your face.
You shift uncomfortably in your seat, swallowing nervously. “We were greeting all the guests and your mother asked where you were. So my parents said you would’ve been welcome to come, thinking you would’ve just tagged along with your family. I tried to throw in some excuse that you had to study for a test and shoo your parents away to deal with mine but your mother spoke before me. She accused me of forgetting to invite my girlfriend to one of my events.” Sirius pushes his palms into his eyes, rubbing them hard. His voice sounds weak and regretful. You pull his hands away and place them in his lap before reluctantly taking your hands away from his.
“What happened next?” You try to sound calm but there’s a hint of panic in your voice you just can’t hide.
Sirius sighs. “Chaos. First it’s my parents asking me if I have a girlfriend, then it’s your mom shocked that I hadn’t told my parents about us, then there’s your dad accusing me of not treating you right, then there’s my mother asking to confirm I’m dating you because apparently it wasn’t clear enough.” He’s talking faster than you’ve ever heard him before. His voice is laced with anger and sarcasm as soon as he brings up his mother. You take his hand and unconsciously rub circles on the back of it.
“And then-” He stops himself and pinches the bridge of his nose.
You gasp. “You told them?”
“Of course I didn’t tell them! You really think I would do that?” His voice is sharp and it stings a little. No, he’s right. You don’t think he would, but you know others who would’ve.
“I’m sorry. I know you wouldn’t, it’s just- I’m not used to being around people I can trust.” The sentence goes quieter as you end it. It’s not something you really want to talk about.
Sirius’ expression goes soft. He pushes a strand of hair out of your face, so gentle you think you might have dreamt it.
“Go on.” You whisper softly.
Sirius sighs. “My dad told me I better sort all this out because you’re a good kid.” His face looks like he’s just eaten a lemon but his voice is calm. “Something about that just pissed me off. you’re not a kid. You’re your own person. You are quite possibly the most incredible person I know and more than capable of making your own choices. I hated that he called you a kid.” He grits the last part through clenched teeth. “I’m my own person too. I shouldn’t have to tell my parents if I’m not ready yet. We shouldn’t have to attend every event if we don’t want to. I was fuming. I just stormed out and ran here. I thought if anyone would get it, it would be you.”
You nod. Now it’s your turn to push a strand of his hair out of his face. “I get it.” You rub your thumb against his cheek mindlessly. Sirius leans in the touch, ever so slightly but it’s enough to snap you out of the moment. You quickly yank your hand away, nervously fiddling with the bottom of your sleeve.
“Thanks for seeing me as my own person. There’s not many people who do.” You whisper after a pause.
Sirius nods, locking his eyes with yours. You immediately look away. Just a second of whatever was brewing behind his eyes was enough to make you tear up. You’ve never been looked at that way. It was respect, admiration, and love? Maybe not love but definitely a lot of care. He cares. He cares and you don’t know what to do about that.
You look at him again, and this time there’s panic all over his face. Maybe it was the face you made, maybe he got lost in his thoughts once more.
“Maybe we should just call this off. They wouldn’t be surprised.” He says quickly, shrugging his shoulders.
You snort. “What, and give them the satisfaction?”
Sirius curls his nose because you’re right, and he knows it.
“I’m no good at this.” he drops his head in his hands. “Tonight is a perfect example of that.”
You push a strand of his hair out of his face again and watch him for a while before you realize what he’s doing. He’s convincing himself that he’s no good at dating, he’s no good at love.
“You don’t have to train yourself to love someone, it’ll happen naturally.” And where did that come from? You freeze. But then you think, it’s true. You know he’s capable of loving, he’s done it with his friends. He cares about people. You’ve seen it during your days at Hogwarts, you see it now. After all, he's pretending to date you to get your parents off your back. No one would do that if they didn't care.
Sirius is staring at you wide eyed. There’s so much hope in his eyes. “You really think so?” he whispers.
You nod, “You care, Sirius. You care more than most people.” You whisper back.
He lets out a weak laugh. It’s a bit of a hiccup. Maybe he’s about to cry. “And to think you’re not saying this to get into my pants.” He teases.
“Oh I do love those pants though. I was actually hoping I could borrow them some time.”
Sirius’ head falls back as he laughs loudly. He looks down at you after a good minute of laughs, and cups your cheek. “Sure, ladybug. Anytime.”
You feel your cheeks go warm. Suddenly you want to hold him, comfort him, kiss him, whisper to him how much you believe in him.
“Excuse me.” You stumble out of your seat, his hand falling from your cheek, going limp by his side.
“Wh-” Starts Sirius but you’re already out of the room, you’re already running up stairs and hiding in your room. Maybe it was best that you walked out, after all, he’s just your fake boyfriend.

synopsis.
sit still, look pretty.
such were the words your maid-turned-mistress of a mother has ever taught you. the mindless marionette mask worked for the most parts. but when you find yourself hanging by a thread - or is it the beeping line of your dying father’s heart rate monitor? - you decide it’s time to shed off that mask and seek han group’s infamous loyal dog that went off radar 17 years ago.
jung hoseok.
alternatively;
“marry me or be killed.”
“is there a third option?”
“we fucked but you were too drunk to remember so that option’s invalid.”
x
jung hoseok is in a dry spell.
there was no doubt as to whether he could score a date, get laid and maybe even have his nightstand to call him up again exactly the week after.
the issue was time.
with his boss and longtime friend getting married, he ends up coming to work with a different pile of papers on his desk every day. well, it was his idea to sign a promissory note that if kim namjoon ever found a woman he loved and married, hoseok would take half of the ceo-ly workload so his overbearing boss could enjoy his honeymoon and truly, as hoseok would put it, live.
the order went a little differently but namjoon found a hole in the way the sentences were worded that got him flying away to the caribbean and leaving hoseok to fend for himself in these trying times.
oh, and it’s almost hit the third month of the newly weds going mia.
in the first place, he didn’t think namjoon would hold the agreement over his head like he was flexing a few hundred thousand dollar’s worth of lawsuit.
but the man did just that and now hoseok is slaving over his nine-to-five which actually tend to drag on till ten or, if he’s lucky, even midnight. sure, he got promoted from head secretary to director but he’s wondering if this endless cycle of coming back home only pass out in the bed and wake up earlier than a parent with a toddler - is worth it.
hoseok groans, his hand grabbing around for his phone to put a stop on that obnoxious alarm even if it’s just for five minutes before he has to hear it again.
and grab something he did, but this so called phone feels too soft to be a phone and shapes like an cup but softer and - he puts more pressure to his grasp out of confusion -
“mhm, what the hell?”
- it complains in a groggy voice too.
almost as if pricked by a needle, hoseok leaps right out of bed, sending the duvet flying to the floor and revealing the naked woman - you - who’s stretching her limbs whilst her face scrunches in displeasure at the rude awakening.
“__-___?! wh-what the- what are you doing in my bed?”
x
“so you touched my boob,” you say, legs crossed and arms folded over said boob.
“i-i-” it’s the first time you’ve ever seen hoseok opened his eyes so wide - he has pretty eyes. especially when they’re brimming with fear and bashfulness, “i’m sorry, i have no excuse.”
he hangs his head low.
“why didn’t you touch the other one?”
it’s then, when hoseok’s eyes snap up to you, gaze searching for a sign - any sign, to confirm that he misheard that, does the man realize that you’re messing with him.
that, and you doubling over with laughter trickling out of your mouth should be affirmation enough.
“god, you should’ve seen your face, hobi!” you’re still holding your stomach when hoseok’s shoulders stiffen and his round eyes turn sharp.
“that’s not something you joke about, ___,” he says, it’s easy to mistake his sternness with anger if you didn’t know him your whole life, “are you gonna let it go every time someone disrespects you? mr. han would’ve snapped their neck in half-”
“hoseok, come on,” you cut him off with a dismissive hand, “none of those gory talks about snapping necks and pulling out nails. that’s the reason i end up here in the first place.”
it’s the way silence lulls into the room and hoseok looks at you with the hardest knitted brows and eyes that seem to have retracted his soul far back into his memories, as though searching for something - that makes your heart drop.
all sense of humor now gone.
“you don’t remember what happened last night... do you?” the last part is just an addition to ease your throbbing heart.
if you’d left it as a statement, it made it more real that he did forget.
just a man, sitting at a half empty bar, three shots of vodka in and hostility in his voice that could’ve killed but so very hoseok of him, “that seat’s taken.”
aloof. distant. and every word in the book that described a man who didn’t want to be bothered and he drowned himself in alcohol.
“i’ll leave once the owner comes back,” you’d slipped into the seat anyway, despite the heat of hoseok’s stare.
not paying any heed, you ordered yourself a margarita.
“it’s been awhile, hasn’t it, hobi?”
that’s when he turned to you. truly looked at you.
“do you perhaps have a little sister who,” his eyebrows began to knit as if the screws in his head started turning, “would be about your age by now... ____?”
you didn’t really catch up. all you could remember was hoseok’s calculative stare as he watched you down one drink after the other. the the chilliness of the margarita somewhat soothing the burning sensation as it went down your throat.
“that’s the fifth for you,” his large hand covered yours, stopping you from picking up the glass as he cautioned you.
“yeah? i’m only stopping if i have something else to occupy my mouth with.”
in his distracted state as he tried to make sense of what your words meant, you lifted the glass to your mouth and downed the last of your drink.
and then, you stood up, walked the tiniest distance between your seat and his, grabbed him by the collar and crashed your lips on his.
you remembered your confidence dissipating like air with every second passing without hoseok so much as responding to your kiss.
maybe it was the shock.
because one that passed, you found his arm around your waist and his lips kissing you harder than you kissed him.
you stumbled into your car, not caring if yeojun had a front row view from the rearview mirror of the things that transpired at the back seat. you barely remember the walk from the parking lot to his apartment.
those sweet whispered promises. the hands that burned your skin with every touch. those eyes that pierced right into your eyes, as if invisible hands reached into your soul and grasped it in his palm.
“mine,” hoseok husked, voice sending ripples of pleasure dripping down your legs. he’d thrust himself balls deep inside you, like a beast who hadn’t had a drop of water since the drought, “you’re mine from head to toe.”
if that wasn’t enough, he fucked you raw until you were at your limit and he’d just... stop.
“hoseok, why-” you’d been breathless, skin glistening with sweat and knees trembling to give in but he’d banded an arm under your torso and held you to him so your bodies remained connected even if none of you moved.
“you think i’d just let you cum so easily?” he placed a hand on your ass, as if warning you what would happen if you’d pull away, “after all these years... you grew up fine as fuck.”
he’d languidly pulled out of you, as if knowing how torturous it felt for you with his fingers on your clit that sent electricity through your veins.
“what is it, hm? is it the kang’s or is it the seong’s? i guess the rumor about boss being hospitalized was true,” his words barely registered in your mind as his index finger touched your back and traced down your spine whilst he started thrusting in and out of you agonizingly slow.
“please, just fuck me,” you’d hissed, pain and pleasure and frustrations mixed in your voice.
“hm, still as tight-lipped as ever, huh?” he’d sounded completely relaxed as if the smacking sound that echoed in the air as his body slammed against your deliciously - didn’t affect him in the slightest.
as if he took no pleasure in fucking you. as if this was only for your poor little soul that came running back to him because you had no one to depend on.
“y-you have to- ah! s-swear your l-loyalty to- oh my god,” it was last night, while the citylights poured through hoseok’s window, his room was directly across another apartment building.
“loyalty, huh?” he tested the words on his mouth, as if it was a foreign candy gifted to him as present.
his body feels hot against your back as he lowered himself flush against you, his breath fanning your sweat-glistened skin, his voice brushing the shell of your ear, “you should know i’m yours as much as you’re mine. nothing i wouldn’t do for you, kiddo.”
he’d used that nickname he’d used to call you as he fucked you into his bed, and sent you moaning his name like you wouldn’t know any other name.
anyone could’ve seen.
neither of you cared though.
well-
you throw your gaze out at the twenty storey building, noticing a man vacuuming the living room three units to the left from the unit directly across from hoseok’s. above him, two kids, a boy and a girl are jumping around while holding an airplane in their hands.
-until now, that is.
hoseok had become an entirely different person last night. no - rather, he’d returned to you as the man you’d always kept in that special spot in your heart and locked it up so no one would be able to see past your steel schooled expression and the devil may care nature.
“i...”
your gaze snaps back to hoseok once again. he parts his lips for the briefest moment, as if to say something but clamps them shut again. the way his eyes gleam with guilt is enough to tell you the unspoken words that hang in the air.
and yet, your heart hardens like the steel mask you often wear on your face.
“and... to think i gave you my virginity too...”
the silence that lapses between you is tangible.
“sike, i’m kidding,” you grin, brows rising to the ceiling but when hoseok doesn’t so much as laugh or frown - he simply looked at you like a parent disappointed of his child who still didn’t see why what she did was wrong - you tilt your head to the side slightly, “or am i?”
“ugh, you’re no fun,” you throw your head back after failing to gouge a reaction from the man who screamed bloody murder as if you’re some street rat that he was so close to calling infestation control.
“i need to meet mr. han,” he announces after a whole solid minute of sitting on the edge of the bed with feet planted on the floor.
“what for? what are you gonna tell daddy? ‘i’m sorry i took your daughter’s virginity, sir, it won’t happen again?’“ you watch him get up, tongue unconsciously slipping out and sweeping over your bottom lip as you watch the curve of his ass as he walks to the closet and disappears into it.
“were you really a virgin?” he comes out dressed in fresh crisp button down tucked in a pair of black pants, a contrast to his rolled up sleeves, creased shirt and disheveled hair from last night.
“i don’t know, did it feel like i was?” you shoot him a coquettish smile.
the gentle protrusion of his adam’s apple bobs up and down, his lingering gaze on your crossed, bare legs not going unnoticed by you. you’re donned in last night’s dinner dress that hugs your curves and stops mid thighs.
but his gaze is gone too soon.
“you’re not seriously going to daddy, are you?” you tug on his sleeve just before he steps out of the door, “hobi, i’m just kidding, i’ve been with multiple guys before you,” the way his brows threaten to knit into a frown doesn’t go pass you but it’s gone too soon, “and does daddy like the idea? he’s not fond of it, but he knows he can’t stop me from doing whatever i want with my own body.”
the beep of the door as he opens it rings in the air as he looks at you in the eye, “did any of those men work for mr han?”
only silence follows his reply as you bite your lower lip, hesitant.
“we can’t hide this- mr han might already know. he has eyes and ears-” hoseok steps out of the door only to stop dead in track when he sees at least half a dozen men lined up in front of his apartment in black suits.
“good morning, miss ____.” they bow at exactly 90 degrees angle like robots.
“-everywhere...” hoseok trails off, eyes scanning the area on high alert.
“don’t worry, they’re not daddy’s men. they’re my men,” you raise one hand, index finger pointing to the ceiling as you shoot them an expression void of any smile.
they seem to understand that as they dip into a bow again, the leader, yeojun, stops in front of the elevator when he and his men would have joined you in any other circumstances.
“it’s not about saving my own ass, ___,” hoseok begins.
the way his arms cross over his chest makes his sleeves wrap deliciously around his biceps.
his deep brown eyes appear like a hazel storm under the sunlight that pours from every crevice of the parking lot where the elevator stopped at. “mr. han asked me to protect you from everything and i’m sure he hired someone else after i left to keep trash men away from you... and to think i did exactly what he wanted me to protected you from-”
“hobi,” nimble hands hover over his chest before you gaze up at him through your lashes, making sure to give it a slow, innocent blink before speaking, “i didn’t regret what happened last night. and you trying to apologize for someone i’m not sorry kind of hurts.”
“i’m sorry i didn’t think of it that way...” he trails off, lips pressed in a straight line as though deep in thought.
“if it makes you that uncomfortable, i won’t talk about it but promise me this stays between us, please?” you hold up a pinky finger like you would when you were younger.
the smile that makes its way to hoseok lips causes your heart to palpitate just when it’s barely calmed down.
his pinky finger is much larger than yours as it hooks around yours in a promise, a ghost of a smile tugging on his lips. as if he’s still unsure if he should be making any promises. as if he’s unsure if he should be hooking his pinky with yours instead of pushing you as far away from him as he could. but before he can come to a conclusion, a voice reverberates into the air.
“miss ____.”
the sound of hoseok sucking in a sharp breath rings in your ear as a dozen men in black suits bow at the sight of you.
before another word comes out from anyone else, you speak, voice echoing against the walls.
“listen up you sons of bitches, if i find out any of you snitched to daddy, i’ll make sure your wife, your husband, your kids, your grandparents, hell even your neighbors pay for it. got it?”
a round of rigorous “yes, miss!” follows after the splitting silence that hovered after you finished.
turning around, almost getting lost in those pretty, star entrapped eyes of his, you smile, “see, they’re loyal to me.”
“uh, i can see why.” it’s the humorous tone that finally wraps around hoseok’s words that makes your heart clench painfully.
he’s still the same hoseok you know.
some things never change.
“well, i’ll lend you one of my cars,” you say all of a sudden.
almost as if hit by a foul ball, hoseok’s eyes widen, “shi- what time is it?”
you don’t expect much when you check your phone, the digits on the screen staring back with a 9-something am - you don’t care to check the details, “late.”
“fuck, i was so focused on gathering enough balls to meet mr. han - i need to get the papers i was supposed to look over for today’s meeting,” a string of curses follow hoseok’s scampering retreat. and you simply watch in your spot - he’s always been such a klutz, forgetting the important details and scrambling to get what he’d forgotten and just remembered - done.
before the doors of the elevator close and swallow him in its belly, hoseok’s nimble fingers slip between the shutting gap, making the doors split open again, “oh,” he says, as if remembering something, “you don’t have to do that - i can drive, i got a driver’s license like, eons ago.”
right.
when he left, he was only 18 and had nothing more but a duffle bag filled with all his belongings and an acceptance letter of the university he applied to.
hoseok had been driving you around everywhere before that. he got pulled over by a cop once but your father easily handled that.
jung hoseok’s been with you for as long as you remember.
you recall bawling your eyes out and clinging onto his leg, begging him not to leave because your nanny left and you found out a few months later that her body was found washed up along the river bank near her hometown.
mr. kim, the gardener quit and said he wanted to visit his kids but the whole family ended up dying in a fire.
everyone who left ends up dead.
pushing the somber feeling that’s threatening to pull the muscles in your face into a frown, you shake your head, an amused smirk tugging on your lips as you mask away every other feeling.
“you really don’t remember anything, do you?” somewhere in that innocently clueless gaze of his, you search for a lie - it would’ve been better if he lied about forgetting for whatever reason.
but when the genuinity over pours from those pretty eyes, you push away the gnawing feeling in your heart, “we were both shit faced drunk last night so we came to your place with my driver and you left your car at the bar’s parking lot.”
“oh shit,” he begins punching the button on the inside of the elevator, “i won’t take long, i pro-”
the metal doors gradually shut, cutting off what he was about to say.
x
“p-please, i’m sorry, i’ll do anything...” the man’s words got blurred out as you stare out the window of his medium sized flat with a master bedroom, a room and a bathroom connected to the common area.
it’s been a week since you met hoseok. you want to be mad that he doesn’t call, especially after not seeing each other for so long and finally reuniting only for him to forget everything about that night.
but you didn’t even give him your number and you may or may not be mad that he didn’t think to ask.
a bloodcurdling scream drums against your eardrums, making you physically flinch as your head snaps towards the man lying on the ground with his mouth wide open and no longer any sound coming out.
his head is titled at the new guy who’s standing over him with a baton gripped in one hand. the sight itself makes the pit of your stomach churn.
“god fucking damn it, yeojun,” you shoot a glare at the head bodyguard, “didn’t you teach him rule number 1? make no sound, catch no attention?”
at that, yeojun snaps his fingers and two of the bodyguards closest to the new guy - soon? soobin? was his name? - approach him. one of them places a firm hand on his shoulder whilst he kicks soobin behind his knee, sending him kneeling with a thud.
“i’m sorry, miss ___, it seems soobin,” ah so you did get his name right, “needs to join mr. yoo here in learning a thing or two about obeying orders.”
yeojun doesn’t even flinch when one of your donned-in-black bodyguard strikes one of their own at the back of his head with that baton they usually carry around their waist.
soobin’s face scrunches up painfully as he breathes out through his nose, teeth gritting together.
“you boys, break some things and you, get the car ready,” with that, the bodyguards hovering over the middle-aged borrower and soobin begin scampering around, toppling shelves over, pushing vases to the ground and breaking plates in the kitchen.
“you were too nice,” yeojun murmurs underneath his breath once you’re in the hallway, the sound of glass shattering and furniture breaking still echo off the walls.
“i shouldn’t even be doing this shit anyway. who does he think i am? sending me to take care of small fries...” agitated, you shoot yeojun a glare.
to which he only responds with raised eyebrows, as if asking if you’d go against your brother’s orders just because you’ve never liked to see violence yet violence follows you everywhere.
“let’s see.... richest bachelor, heir to han group, one of the biggest conglomerate family that runs the underground ring...” the black haired man starts counting off with his finger until you swing your purse to his side.
“which side are you on? me or my chanyeol’s?!”
laughter trickles down his lips as he follows you into the elevator. somewhere in the distance, the hallway faintly rings with the fading sound of mr. yoo’s helpless pleas.
x
when you arrive at kimcorp, the secretary shoots up from your seat, her smile is gorgeous and welcoming but the knitted set of brows above her eyes do a poor job of hiding her anxiousness.
odd.
you didn’t use the han name to get past the receptionist, only mentioning “hoseok is expecting me, tell him i have something of his he’d really like back.”
was it the lavish dinner dress? was it the couture handbag?
“ah, it’s the fox fur, isn’t it?” you twirl on your heels, lips curling prettily as you narrow your eyes at the startled secretary.
she’s standing there like a thief caught red-handed. as if her worst nightmares came true the moment you started saying something besides the “i’m here to see jung hoseok.”
“i-i’m sorry, ma’am?” her shoulders tense up and her smile doesn’t quite reach her eyes.
“nothing, it’s nothing,” you put on a billion dollar smile - one that she seems to be struggling to wear.
before the poor thing peed her pants, you turn around, your back on her and push on the double doors of the office with a white plate that spells out “head director jung.”
the syllables of your name roll off the mouth of the man behind the large desk that almost takes up half of the room, piles of documents stacked up on either sides while the middle section is cleared for a mac and a macbook perched directly in front of him.
“you sound surprised, didn’t the receptionist tell you i was coming?” you put on your best smile even as you watch him push a button on a smaller-than-a-palm-sized remote directed at the cctv and dash for the blinds and close them so that the secretaries facing his room won’t have any visual access to what goes on from now on.
“yeji didn’t specify who,” he says mindlessly, still peeking through the blinds - possibly to check if anyone noticed the sudden move.
somehow, hearing the name of another woman leaving hoseok’s lips doesn’t sit right with you.
“since you easily told her to send me right up, i assume you have an idea of who it was,” a devious smile tugs in the corners of your lips as the sound of hoseok sucking in a sharp breath brushes your ears.
as he was in the middle of turning around and facing you, you managed to catch him off guard and trap him between the window and yourself. the ridges of his toned abs brushing against your front torso with only layers of clothing separating you.
the warning tone he uses to say your name with is music to your ears.
he sounded like the old him. the old hoseok who’d drive his fist into anyone’s face without batting an eye. the old hoseok who would turn to your crying frame with the sweetest smile and hand you back your backpack that fell on the ground amidst the struggle of trying to bite and kick your kidnappers in the shin.
“i missed you, you know?” your voice is tinged with playfulness but your heart skips a beat like a schoolgirl with a crush.
“i-i... we...”
the words get stuck in his throat the moment your lips brush his. what surprises you is the softest sigh that leaves his mouth before a large hand buries itself in your hair, pulling you close until he’s tasting you. licking your bottom lip as if asking for something he didn’t need to ask for in the first place.
his free hand grasps your ass as if he’s been dying to feel your soft cheeks in his palm. you part your lips for him, tasting the faintest sense of cigarette in his breath.
hoseok tends to smoke when something bothers.
you hope it’s you. you hope he lays in bed at night, staring at the ceiling. you hope you’re all he thinks about.
by the time you pull apart, you’re both heaving for air. a soft thud drums in your ears as hoseok leans his head against the blinds-covered-window. you press your cheek against his chest, face hot.
one of his hands sits on top of your ass as if paying his overdue respect for your body but yet unwilling to let you go. the other rests on the back of your head, his thumb mindlessly caressing your scalp.
“hoseok?” you’re the first to break the silence.
he simply hums in response, “hm?”
“i can’t give it back,” you turn your cheek to bury your face in his chest, your voice coming out muffled, “i can’t give back your freedom.”
x
“so you’re saying you can’t let me go...” hoseok echoes the words you say to him.
but the way his lips curl into a pleased smirk and his white shirt creasing at the front from having your bodies pressed together a moment ago, gives those words a different meaning than you intend them to.
somehow, the distance between you seems smaller.
“thanks miyeon,” hoseok’s smile switches to that of a kind, considerate superior.
miyeon, the woman who guided you to hoseok’s office returns his smile. but you don’t miss the cautious gaze she throws your way before slipping out of the room after setting down the tea cups.
he’s back to himself. the kind that jumps at every little sound and tends to wear a frightened puppy look almost too often.
“no, rather...” you trail off, chanyeol’s face burning at the back of your mind - your brother, the heir to han group and the man that will marry you off to the kang’s in order to mend the strain in the family ties as soon as your father breathes out his last breath.
you shake your head, a smile on your face, “it’s been awhile, how bout catching up over lunch?”
and so it goes, you visit hoseok every few days in a week. at times you tell the secretary to keep your visit a secret so you could surprise him, you’d end up catching him neck deep in work yet he still manages to pull off the rolled up sleeves, two buttons undone and slicked back hair with a single strand falling over his forehead, its tip grazing those set of strong eyebrows.
when you knock, he looks up and the tension in his brows seem to fade away. he shoots you a dimpled smile as if he’s been waiting for you to whisk him away from work.
and you do just that. arm looped around his, you both walk out of his office like lovers.
hoseok talks about his past - the one you’re not part of - fondly. as if looking through a lense of something he never dreamed he could have.
at first, he attracted the wrong kind of crowd with his permanently set furrowed brows. but then he finds things he enjoys doing outside of classes that he couldn’t get to enjoy when he was with han group.
dancing, tracks, boxing and more. he likes that rush of adrenaline that courses through his veins.
and you tell him about the meetings and gatherings and social events to maintain your relationships with the vassal families. they’re usually attended by the women of the han family which means you and han chohee would be smiling and laughing together in front of the wives and daughters of the vassal families before taking off that loving step-mother-and-step-daughter facade once you walk out of the vicinity.
your lunches and dinners are spent with trips down memory lane, filling the other in on the moments each of you miss in each other’s lives. and for a moment, the hoseok in front of you who flinches at the sight of bugs and little, random noises feel familiar.
that is, until you hit your one month reunion mark.
chanyeol’s been gathering support of the vassals by personally accepting their invitations.
his presence easily overshadowed yours and yeojun confirmed that your father’s condition isn’t getting any better.
“i need you to come back and work for me, half of the men would drop everything and follow you,” you stare at the girl staring back at you on the surface of the tea. she bites her lips and you feel the faintest taste of blood in your mouth.
eyes snapping to his calculative ones - as if he already knows what you’re going to say before the words even pass your lips, “i need you by my side so i can take over han group.”
the hoseok sitting in the single couch next to you with parted legs and feet planted on the dark carpeted ground fits the head director setting better than the inked skin, cigarette smoke and gun-in-waistline setting you’re about to drag him in.
“you’re willing to go against chanyeol to become the head of the family?” he asks, eyes clouded with a sort of emotion you can’t pinpoint.
hoseok’s always been an enigma. his mind, a maze you’ll never end up figuring out.
guess that part of him is still the same.
“it’s not a choice for me to make,” a clean click! resonates in the air as you place the gun you’d pulled from your garter, point facing him, index finger on the trigger, “you have two though.”
it’s the way his eyebrows rise whilst his eyes glint with amusement tells you that hoseok - your hoseok - is still somewhere in there.
throw a sane man into an asylum and he’ll start going insane. put a mad man back in society and he’ll trick you into believing he’s sane with his warm, dimpled smile.
“marry me or be killed,” you say simply.
that amused glint is still there, granted, it shines faintly compared to the caution that overflows from those sun-hit brown eyes as they fix themselves on the gun perched on the see-through coffee table before they travel to your knuckles, to your arm and meet your steel gaze.
his the softest protrusion of his adam’s apple drops and rises again as he swallows, “is there a third option?”
“we fucked but you were too drunk to remember so that option’s invalid.”
the air is dense with tension. it fills up your lungs and almost causes your chest to cave. you’re not sure how long to stay there, stiff and still like a rock with your back straightened as if your etiquette teacher was hovering right behind you with a long, wooden ruler that’d be ready to strike your arm at a slump of your shoulders.
but liberation comes to you in the form of a phone call.
“___, we have to go, th-the boss- the doctor says he’s not gonna make it through the night.” it’s the first time you’ve heard yeojun stammer as if he hasn’t quite yet recovered from the shock of the news he’s relaying to you.
“are you sure?” you can almost hear the thump of the organ in your chest slowing down before it ceases to throb completely, “you know how bad chanyeol wanna fuck me up, he could’ve made the doctor tell you this because he knows you’ll tell me and if... if i rush there and daddy’s laughing that obnoxious laugh while trying to make pass on the nurse like he usually does...”
yeojun grunts, “yes, ___. i have men planted there as patients, nurses, janitors and they all say the same thing - that the doctors are rushing to the vip ward and they’re trying to make it look like your usual hourly check up but it’s not... look, this is the real thing. if we mess up, there won’t be another chance. now, did you convince hoseok to come back?”
almost as if reminded that you’re not the only person in the room, your eyes snap to hoseok whose eyes are already fixed on you with a concerned expression.
“he’ll come back.” with that, you hang up the call.
“i’d love for you to think it through for a few days, realize this isn’t really a life you want and come to me on your own to sign our prenups,” you say casually, placing down the teacup and slipping your phone back into your handbag as if you’re getting ready to leave the tea party, “but...”
but before you can lift the gun and fully point it at him, a large hand covers yours. his warmth seeps through your pores and makes your body feel warmer.
“the gun’s a bit excessive,” his breath fans your face as your eyes fix on the supple skin of his neck.
it’s as if invisible hands reached out and held your head in place, forbidding you from tilting it and gazing into his eyes. his fingers reach over the back of the gun, grazing your hands.
a click cuts through the silence.
“at the very least, unlock the safety,” his teasing tone doesn’t match his saddened eyes.
and just as you thought you’d closed the distance between you and him, the circumstance forces you to take five steps back.

Can I request a Agatha x reader where they were both put up on the pole to for executed but reader didn’t have strong enough magic to fight off the other witches magic so Agatha had to save her but reader is injured so Agatha flys her to a cabin and takes care of her please.
Here it is love! I hope you enjoy it!
Warnings: angsty?
Killy (Agatha x reader)
You couldn’t scream. You were so scared but you couldn’t scream. As two of your former sisters grabbed you by the arms and dragged you through the forest, the only thing you could hear was steps and Agatha’s pleas behind you as she was being dragged too.
You cursed yourself for not knowing this would happen. Well, you knew it, but you always thought you would be smart enough to avoid it, or at least fast enough to escape. Oh how wrong you were.
The witches tied you to the pole and you wanted to cry as Agatha was being tied beside you. You could feel her fear and that was so much worse than the trial itself. When Evanora stepped forward, you knew it was it. You were going to die.
“Agatha Harkness, are you a witch?” Evanora asked and Agatha nodded “And you, Y/N Y/L/N, are you a witch too?” she asked and you nodded too.
“And yet, you broke our laws” she growled and you gulped.
It was true, in your case at least. You were Agatha’s best friend and were always by her side. You loved her sarcastic comments and the way she flirted with everyone (although this made you jealous inside and broke your heart when she did it with you, because you knew she didn’t mean it). So, when your friend came to your room one night and asked you to help her break into the forbidden seccion of the library, you agreed without a second thought.
Agatha was brilliant with magic and the dark one seemed to like her. A lot. It was almost natural for her and you knew it was because the magic wanted her. Most witches didn’t know it, and always mocked you for saying it out loud, but you knew that magic was a living being, one that chose some people to bear it. And this dark magic had chosen Agatha.
Agatha. Not you.
It wasn’t a surprise, to be honest. Your magic seemed to be weaker for a witch your age, but you didn’t mind. You enjoyed the feeling of it in your veins and always had conversations with it. Of course it caused you to be called a freak by other witches, but Evanora allowed it because she thought you were just a silly girl. And Agatha was always there for you, so you really didn’t care about the others. You couldn’t tell the exact moment you fell in love with your friend, but it didn’t matter.
However, the dark magic seemed to notice you were too weak for it, so it ignored you. Agatha didn’t break any rule. Practicing magic was what your coven was for. But dark magic was another thing. It was out of the limits. It was dangerous. It was Powerful. It was everything Agatha was. It belongs to her, which made this trial a gigant injustice. She was just learning to control the gift that was given to her. That was all.
You were the only one that deserved this trial. You were the one that asked Agatha to teach you dark magic, even when you knew you couldn’t contain it. You were the one that made a dangerous mistake. You were the one that played with a gift that wasn’t your. You broke the rules. You and only you.
And you wanted to say it, you wanted Evanora to know it so she could free Agatha. But you couldn’t find your voice. Not that it mattered. Everyone knew deep inside that the youngest Harkness was becoming more and more powerful and that it scared the eldest. Evanora just wanted an excuse to get rid of her competition.
You were so lost on your thoughts that you actually missed most of the trial. When you blinked and focused again, you saw the witches getting ready to kill you. Great, you missed your own death sentence.
“Hold my hand” you heard Agatha whispering to you and you frowned.
She still had fear all over her beautiful face, but she was trying to be brave and you knew she had a plan. You were about to ask her how you were supposed to hold her hand while you had yours tied, when you felt her fingers. She was struggling to reach you, even when her hands were tied as well. It melted your heart.
Pulling your magic bonds as much as you could, you managed to intertwine at least two of your fingers with hers. That seemed to calm her. You closed your eyes when the witches lifted their hands.
Not even a second later, you felt their power. It was too much for you, and that was the point. To make your body explode with the magic they knew you couldn’t contain. A cruel and ironic death.
You felt Killy (short for Killutal), your own magic trying to protect you, but she (you always liked to think your magic was a she) was weak and small compared to this and you felt her fading away. She was fighting but losing. And your body was breaking for the battle inside it.
But it all stopped suddenly. You didn’t know what was happening but the last thing you felt before passing out was your hands being untied and Agatha’s arms around you.
_________
You groaned when you felt something cold and wet on your forehead. You wanted to go back to sleep, you felt so tired.
“Y/N?” a soft voice said and made you open your eyes.
Agatha looked at you, worried. She sighed in relief when you gave her a small and weak smile.
“What happened?” you asked as you tried to sit. Agatha helped you and caressed your cheek.
“It’s over” she simply said. “they can’t hurt you anymore, love” she promised and kissed your temple.
“What did you do?” you asked and the frown on her face told you everything you need.
“They’re gone. They can’t touch you ever again”
You smiled and nodded. You really didn’t need or want to hear the whole story. Agatha was there, alive and safe. That was all that mattered. The other witch kissed your temple again and left the room to get food and water for you.
“I’m here too” a little voice said in your mind and you smiled.
“Killy”
“I’m sorry” she said
“Me too” you whispered.
You two talked until Agatha came back. She was so tender with you, touching you carefully, like she was scared you would shatter any moment. To be fair, maybe you would.
“You’ll be fine in a few days, love” she said and took one of your hands in hers “I’ll make sure of that”.
And she did.
For days, she was always by your side, making sure you had everything you needed, feeding you, brushing your hair, helping you to shower yourself. Everything. You needed something? Just ask for it and Agatha would give it to you.
It was wonderful, to know how much you meant to her. But it made it all more painful, because you and Killy knew something she didn’t.
______________
Days turned into weeks, and you weren’t any better.
Agatha was getting out of spells to try and you couldn’t even walk for yourself. One day, she took you to the river, after you insisted so much. She had to carry you into the water and hold you against herself the whole time, scared that you would drown.
When the night came, you asked her to stay a little more, just to see the stars. Of course, she agreed and sat with you on the grass, hugging you when the air got colder.
It was the last time you left the cabin.
When you arrived home, you felt even more ill and Agatha cursed herself for taking you out too soon. You got a cold, and your fever hadn’t gone in two days.
Still, you always were smiling.
That night, you called Agatha and asked her to lie with you in the bed. She blinked but climbed next to you quickly, wrapping her arms around your waist to pull you closer to her, in hopes her body warmth could help you.
“Remember that time I asked you to close your eyes and gave you a flower?” you asked after a moment of silence.
“I do” she said, confused. Was the fever getting worse?
“It wasn’t the flower I wanted to give to you” you confessed and locked your e/c eyes with her blue ones.
“It wasn’t?”
“No”
“Then what was it?” she asked and brushed a strand off your face.
You smiled and shook your head. “It’s a secret” you giggled softly, almost a whisper.
“I thought we didn’t keep secrets from each other” she whispered back.
“We don’t” you agreed “But this secret can’t be told. Just showed”
“Then show me”
You smiled and gathered all the strength you had left. You took her face and brought it close to yours, locking your lips to hers.
Agatha kissed you back and pulled you even closer to her. She had wanted to do it for a very long time, but she was scared you wouldn’t feel the same and then she would lose you.
“It’s the best secret we have shared” she whispered and you nodded “mind if i show you mine now’” she asked and you smiled as she kissed you again.
Your heart was a little less broken.
___________
“She’s Killy, the last part of myself that remains alive. Take good care of her, Aggie”.
Agatha woke up exalted, even when your voice in her head was so soft. She quickly turned to you and gently moved you.
“Y/N?” she whispered, kissing your temple.
But you didn’t move.
She gasped and quickly took you in her arms, hugging you close to her chest. She tried to wake up for a few more moments, trying to stay calm, but the fear invaded her heart. After a moment, she understood what was happening.
She kissed you one last time and felt the tears rolling down her cheeks when she realised you wouldn’t wake up. Never. You were gone.
Later that day, after she buried you near the river, the place you loved the most, she felt something inside her. Something that felt painfully familiar.
It was “Killy”, your magic. You had left it with her, as a promise to always be by her side.
____________
“Hi Agatha” a voice said behind her and she turned to see a light yellow ball glowing. She smiled
“Hi Killy” she said and extended her arm, allowing the ball to rest in her hand.
When Wanda flew away, Agnes walked to her house. But Agatha couldn't feel anything but hope.
Of all the magic she had, the only little pinch that remained was Killy. Not even her powerful dark magic could fight against the scarlet witch. But Killy did. She smiled as she thought of you and the promise you made when you gave her your magic.
“I couldn’t protect her” Killy said “But Y/N said it was because I wasn't meant to. I was meant to protect you”
The witch’s smile widened. Of course you would.
Killy was still weak and young, but that was her fault. After all these years, she never tried to reach for her, because your memory was too much for her to handle. But now, she knew Killy would be able to grow up and free her.
“Then let’s get started” she said “We have much work to do, Killy”
She could have swore she felt the ball smiling. But maybe it wasn’t that crazy of an idea. It was yours, after all. The last part of you that remained.
It’s been you all along.
a/n: I- I’m sorry, ok? But in my defense i was left unsupervised and anon never said it had to be a happy-ish ending. So yeah...Uppsies
