One of my favorite things to do on calls with friends and family is to needle them about how nice my weather is right now while they are freezing their asses off and fighting over folding chairs marking dug out parking spots.

#in my town when it snowed and you had to dig your car out that was parallel parked on the street #It was a lot of work. It sucked. And you had to do it. no matter how old or infirmer handicapped you were.#everyone has to eat. eventually. you have to get groceries to go to the doctor. get your meds refilled. go to church #whatever. eventually you have to take out that car.#so people felt kind of protective of the spot they dug out and came back home later today to find one of the neighbors stole their spot #instead of digging their own out #I kid you not people would go and park their cars at friends houses out side the city before snow #because then they wouldn't have to take their cars out #and normally I'd say hey that's pretty cool #except the one they came back #They almost never dug out a spot for themselves #They just drove around and looked for an empty one #math comes into play here and they just added a car to the equation that wasn't in the neighborhood before #So now there is more car than dug out spots #so people feel some kind of way about the spot they spent all day digging out only to come home with their medicine or groceries or whatever #and find a f****** Lexus parked in your spot #thus was born the invention of the folding chair.#it took up the parking space and declared to the world this is mine #and most people respected it #plus the folding chair was a hassle to get and you would get hasseled for touching it #ph4wg #ph4wg original

#twisted wonderland #twisted wonderland spoilers #twisted wonderland episode 7 spoilers #twisted wonderland book 7 spoilers #twisted wonderland episode 7 part 11 spoilers #twisted wonderland book 7 part 11 spoilers #unfortunately leona's ultimate happy dream did involve his entire family dying tragically. them's the breaks.#(for the record he is a little messed up about this) (he is a little messed up about a lot of stuff)#the context of cheka is that they were going to try to shock leona awake by having him show up #however while styx could provide them with a 3d model based on a bodyscan (which they had for...reasons??) they had no data on his behavior #so he was basically just a little frozen mannequin #(the sprite was not t-posing but in my heart this was happening)#ruggie could kind of pilot him with his magic but it only lasts for a few seconds so he had to keep recasting it with noticeable choppiness #so while we don't get the entire effect due to the limitations of the format #this means that leona was in the middle of let-them-eat-cake'ing a revolution when suddenly #his late nephew bursts jerkily in through the door yelling OJITAN I'M ALIVE AND MY VOICE CHANGED OFFSCREEN #honestly they spent more time thinking of how to explain ruggie's terrible impression of cheka than anything else #how could leona have seen through this brilliant plan so quickly 🤔#man i really did love his horrible dream though #i like him as a character but i wasn't expecting his dream to be the one that got to me like that #love how all the savana dreams were like #jack: what if leona was really cool and my friend :)#ruggie: what if my dad came back and leona created a socialist utopia for me :)#leona: what if i finally got the chance to prove myself except i screwed everything up and everyone hated me and my family was dead #his conversation with kifaji at the end 😭#kifaji in his dream in GENERAL acting as a counterpoint to his phantom like. like!!!! (waves hands)#i just. these guys.#me 4+ years ago: this game looks so dumb i gotta try it. surely i won't become emotionally overinvested in any of this.

Wei Wuxian should be able to get drunk for once. I think he'd either be singing bawdy drinking songs on the roof of the Jingshi or he'd be getting irrevocably lost no matter where he is. He's found in the bushes behind the mountains like a cryptid, and then he's like "I can't believe you all got lost" (extremely slurred) as if he didn't get embarrassed by something Lan Wangji had said and just somehow disappeared when everyone looked back at him

oh ABSOLUTELY im walking with u and nodding and agreeing, i can see him becoming an absolute menace to keep track of at his drunkest.

anyway heres wonderwall The Gang (Wangxian & their fave group of ducklings) in a city known for its STRONG wine and wuxian being like well. ur all grown now, youre technically not juniors anymore. we have to see whos lasting the longest against this stuff!, smash cut to a suspiciously wei ying-less group of the worlds drunkest cultivators being wrangled through the woods by designated driver hanguang-jun, with at least 2 of them clinging to his robes at all times.

I simply think this fandom doesn't give Wei Wuxian enough credit for the various ways in which he saved Lan Wangji

#mdzs #mo dao zu shi #wangxian #idk man- i just see a lot of “Lan Wangji has always been protecting Wei Wuxian” posts and its like...#I mean... Lan Wangji has always certainly been trying to protect Wei Wuxian #it took him a long time to figure how to successfully do that though #rereading the books rn and noticing theres a lot of instances that could be read as lwj being frustrated over his inability to protect wwx #like he seemed ready to cry when wwx went missing for a while and then came back with the cursed leg #lwj has always been great at protecting wwx from physical threats (ex: waterborn abyss) but had no idea how to protect him from himself #meanwhile wwx has always been instictually good at saving lwj from both #like I'm 100% lwj would've become like Jiang Cheng if wwx hadn't snapped him out of the blindly following authority thing #and also like... 15 y/o lwj wasnt happy with his life. he was lonely and stressed and literally signing up to be flogged whenever he goofed #wwx is who allowed lwj to grow up by showing him what it was like to actually be a kid (shown in story whenever lwj gets drunk)#he led lwj to having a more flexible mindset. and it both let lwj relax and set lwj up to be a better parent #looking into lwj's dynamic with the juniors- he lets them break a fuck ton of the petty rules and encourages them to question authority #he also teaches them to not be married to any one meathod of problem solving #wwx is also able to save lwj from his own stubbornness #ex: carrying lwj when he broke his leg. getting lwj to cough up bad blood. getting lwj to keep the rabbits #wwx also tends to give lwj the words he has trouble saying himself. helps him communicate #wwx also protects lwj in fights a lot but thats narratively less important #except the various times wwx puts himself in danger to help lwj. those times are what made it so lwj could never move on from wwx #like with the cave incident #or when wwx helped surpress the arm instead of using the chaos to escape cloud recesses #tldr i guess: i think this fandom tends to treat lwj being the best like its natural to him when really wwx accidentaly rewired his brain #I'm looking directly at fanfic writers who act like the Lans would've treated wwx better than the Jiangs #lwj had to do so much work and self reflection post meeting wwx to be the way he is. he is not the sole product of the Lan teachings

#my art #pokemon #braixen #pkmn #starter pokemon #YAAAAY only took like 8 days working on off and on WHBDFJKHGB i reworked the pose a bunch #and im really happy with how it came out!!! i may have gone overboard with the shading but thats ok bc i had fun #when i was trying to figure out the fire i accidentally deleted the lining and i did not notice that i did that. so when i went to see if i #could get it back. i could not. so i had to redo the lining HAHA really annoying but its ok bc i still had the sketch and the coloring #using this as a segue to talk about my delphox lucky. my first non handmedown pokemon game was x #so it was a really big deal for me right. i was ten. i picked fennekin [i usually go for the grass starters but fennekin is one of the #exceptions to this] and to my delight my fennekin was a female. and to me that was the luckiest thing ever so i obviously named her lucky #i got her to max happiness and she was the first pokemon i leveled up to lvl 100 without cheating #the fennekin line will always have a soft spot in my heart and i will always include a female delphox named lucky in my dream team lineup

#kabuto #okay. i'm gonna admit something. pokémon rby came out before i was born. right #pokémon is 5 years older than me. so gen 1 is not a generation that i was intimately familiar with until later on in my life #to me‚ gen 3 is the real gen 1. so i got into other things before i really got into pokémon #and especially before i really got Back into pokémon later on in adulthood #which is to say. i got into naruto. before i really got back into pokémon. as a kid #and thus. this thing's name. makes no sense to me. except through the lens of that one naruto character #with the knife hands. so. i don't know what this thing is #why both gen 1 fossils are water-types #or what this thing's name means #nor did i know that it apparently has two sets of eyes. or. at least looks like it does #i dunno if this is a bellibolt situation but you look under the cut and tell me. i only knew about the red ones

FINALLY got the designs of the canon iterators nailed down. credit to @/poppy-purpura for the inspo with purple sig! it has nestled itself into my brain and will not leave. please. someone send help. it's tearing up the blankets.

i've also been playing with features of medibang and using ancient digital coloring tutorials so the colors i initially used got warped. below the cut are my colors and the sketchbook sketch that inspired this!
