For no particular reason: Lola's homemade chocolate

Today is Lola the Corgi's presumed birthday. We chose it approximately, while at the vet's, because Lola's story is nothing short of a canine miracle. She jumped in my cab, somewhere in the humble outskirts of Bucharest, on Saint Nicholas' Day. The driver asked, absurdly, if that was 'my dog' and I simply answered 'well, now it is'.

Little did we know the shaking, stone cold and scared to death puppy was a very rare Cardigan Corgi - this came later, when a British friend was amazed at the recovery and pointed it out adamantly. She could have been stolen or simply lost, but we will never know and we never looked back.

All our dogs had Spanish names (except for cats, always boys and always Pasha, namesakes of a beloved Shipper Mom's childhood pet), simply because they are easy to learn and remember. In her case, Lola is for...

for well... for obvious locomotion reasons 🤣 #LolaFlores. Twelve years with a supremely intelligent and empathic friend deserved a batch of my homemade chocolate, don't you think?

Too bad she can't try it. But enough babbling, here goes.

You will need: 2 cups/ 250 grams milk powder - I recommend Nestlé's Carnation, if you can't get hold of Rarăul, the obscure, Communist local brand (so damn good); 2 sticks/200 grams full fat butter (I recommend Irish butter, always with excellent results), at room temperature, cubed; 7 Tablespoons/50 grams cocoa (Dutch, if you can, but I prefer either Ghirardelli or the Greek Ion brand, which I think are the best on this planet); 2½ cups/ 500 grams Demerara sugar (or caster sugar). A dash of instant coffee, for decorating. You can replace sugar by stevia sweetener (measure accordingly - I used this, because I was also cooking for a severe diabetic who can't control herself), with very good results. Optional: crushed tea biscuits or cookies in the US/chopped hazelnuts/pine nuts/walnuts/peanut butter (in swirls) - sky is the limit. For the adult version, feel free to add a hefty swig of brandy/rhum/whisky/bourbon/vodka/limoncello or hey, let's be totally dirty (sssh!), Bailey's.

In a nonstick pan, gently simmer 3/4 cup or 170 ml cold water with ALL the sugar. Stir nonstop (only with wooden spoon or silicone spatula, never metal - it lends a foul taste!) until you get a sort of thin syrup - basically the sugar should dissolve, nothing more. 2 to 3 minutes should be enough.

Add the cubed butter, stir gently until it melts and incorporates completely. 10 minutes max, but never stop stirring!

Take the pan off the heat. Gently pour dry milk in small batches, stirring and incorporating continuously. It should immediately thicken, sticky fudge consistency.

Gently mix the cocoa, with slow, ample bottom/top movements (you don't want it anywhere else but in that pan, for sure). Right consistency should be a thick ribbon, pouring from the spoon.

Back to the heat for about 30 to 45 seconds, stirring all the time. I have no idea why, but my grandma always insisted it was very important, go figure. Take off the heat and immediately add the nuts and (if you choose) the alcohol, mixing vigorously.

Pour into a well buttered loaf tin. Dust with instant coffee. Let cool, put into fridge for 6 hours minimum (overnight is better). Only cut with a wet knife. Devour and don't think about the damn calories.

I am sorry for the very, very old pic (2010, I think). Tonight, it was impossible to take a proper one 😱.

This is what we do call 'homemade chocolate' all over Eastern Europe, but to be honest, it's rather some very, very good fudge. The dry milk is a dead giveaway of the real age of the recipe, which is around 1945 - postwar rationing, of course.

You are welcome. You won't regret the 45 minutes you're likely to spend making it.

It’s a prestige family drama wrapped in a neat scifi concept and this week’s episode in particular really drive home the family dynamic that makes this show special. Listen to Leylines and cry about brothers with me.

🐺 Stories from Ylelmore continues to absolutely kill me. I think Rion’s problems with his werewolfism resonates with a lot of different real life challenges to being alive—racism, transphobia—but in this ep it felt like a potent nod to ableism as well. At what point does someone get to do something risky for their own mental wellbeing? At what point do one’s friends get to deny your choices to protect you? I don’t want to see what this is going to do to the kids’ friendship, except that I have to know.

🌊 Tales from the Fringes of Reality always presents us with these small perfect images of family care or unexpected friendship, but Paul Warren’s sentient moss is maybe the best thing I’ve ever heard. The focus this episode on slowing down, appreciating the moment, and resting really struck a chord. It was perfect.

😈 Forgive Me! is SO GOOD. This episode bright in Jeffrey Cranor, always a treat, to tackle fears both real and intangible that religion brings into our lives. I was raised religious and…woof. Like this character is right, the candy-coated Sunday School version of the Bible is incomplete, and does nothing to prepare a kid for the real and actual danger in the world. Especially in light of the recent hurricanes which are likely exacerbated by climate change, how are we supposed to react? It has a pretty satisfying ending for a question without many good answers.

🌝 Dead Space: Deep Cover ended this week as well, and oh jeez louise. This makes me want to play the video game, and i don’t really do video games. Highly recommend, it is a scifi horror treat.

One of my favourite things about being a WWE superstar is getting the opportunity to travel the world. Because of my job I’ve been in more places that I could have ever imagined and made memories that will last a lifetime. Today we are in one of my favourite places, Rome.

One of my least favourite things about being a WWE superstar though was definitely the travel and itinerary- I get to a new place and don’t have time to see all the sights. its airport, hotel, gym, meet and greets, arena, match, then on the road again.

I wasn’t really going to ask Jon, I mean how could I? This whole trip I have to try and avoid him, however I feel like fate has other plans, I was informed late last night that Jon and Josh would join me in doing press for the tour, doing meet and greets and TV appearances to get everyone hyped up for the shows. As long as we aren’t alone together nothing would happen…….right?

One thing I wanted to tick off my bucket list when visiting Rome was going to the Trevi Fountain. Seeing it there in front of me took my breath away, the beauty it holds, the history and traditions. Ugh to have this on my doorstep every day would be a dream. We had found a small gelato shop near the fountain and decided to find a place to sit near by the fountain.

“Okay, fine I’ll admit it, the gelato was a good idea.”

“Of course it was a good idea Josh, are you doubting me and my choices?”

“You know damn well I don’t trust you.” He says

Acting offended I shift myself further away from him, Josh turns to look at me grinning ear to ear.

“Don’t know what you’re smiling at, you’ve just bumped yourself down the list of what Fatu brother I like more.”

“Well number 2 ain’t so bad.”

Annoyed he reply’s “3? What you mean 3, who else you know except me and Jon!”

Realising I got him right where I want him “well Joe obviously, I’ve spoke with him a few times and he is such a sweetheart, I think he might actually be my favourite brother.”

He didn’t have a come back, he just sat there eating his gelato like a grumpy little kid. I take a few sneaky pics to send to Trin, captioned “fun with your grumpy ass brother in law.”

Josh reaches into his pocket and places two coins in front of us.

“Let’s go throw these in the fountain then.”

“Wait, how did you know I wanted to do that?”

“Cause believe it or not yn but I listen to you, you are one of my closest friends and I love ya, if there is something you wanna do you damn sure I wanna make it happen. That’s what family does.”

I couldn’t see him, my eyes were filling with tears. Never in my life have i had someone care so much. We fight like cat and dog but underneath it all there is pure love and adoration for each other.

“Okay don’t get all soppy on me” he jests. “Let’s throw our coins and get back before there is a search party.”

Grabbing my hand we walk over to the fountain and throw our coins in tradition states if you throw a coin in you are wishing that one day you will come back to Rome and with every fiber of my being i was hoping that one day i would.

“Thank you” i whisper to Josh.

“Don’t mention it, though I do hope I ain’t last on yo list anymore?”

Laughing I announce “A solid 2 for sure now.”

Another part I love about being a WWE Superstar is getting the opportunity to meet the fans. The WWE universe has the best, most intense fan base in the world.

In the store where the meet and greet was happening, It was a basic set up, a long table, a seat for each of us and a backdrop with our image plastered over it. The queue was already around the block, with a mixture of kids, teens and adults all waiting to meet us.

“I’m really nervous, this is my first international meet and greet - what if no one is here for me.” I start to panic.

Josh looks at me and in his usual joshy manner tries to make it all better “yn we know no one is here for you, and honestly you are killing the mood. Put yo big girl panties on and let’s get this over with huh?”

And just like that the mood has been lifted and he has me laughing.

“I honestly hate you J.”

Jon who had been observing finally breaks his silence. “You can sit between us, that way we can comfort you if it gets too much.” Comfort me……..

A little too eagerly I agree. The first few fans come in and just like that all my nerves and panic washed away and I was in autopilot.

“How you doin now yn? Eased into it okay?” Josh enquires

“I’m fine J, I just let my ner……”

Heat. That was the only thing I could feel. My thigh tingling under his touch, Jon’s touch.

“Yo yn, you good?” Josh looks at me concerned.

“Yep fine, just got a little cramp in my leg, feel like we have been here for hours.” I brush him off, along with moving Jon’s hand off my leg. Think of Trin, think of Trin I repeat in my head.

The last of the fans come and go, it’s been a sweet afternoon watching Jon and Josh interact with everyone, you can see the love and passion they have for this business and the fans. Maybe teaming with them on this European tour won’t be so bad after all.

Backstage WWE LIVE, Rome Italy,

The crowd had been electric all night. There is no major storylines, no characters and no set of rules to follow just purely wrestling. Our match was a mixed tag match, myself and The Uso’s v Indie, Theory and Waller. Going out and having fun with everyone and the crowd is what it’s all about, the passion the fans give in return for the show you put on makes all the travel, injuries and lack of sleep worth it.

After any of my matches I like a debrief, things I could have done better, things I did great etc, it’s how I grow and learn, however fate was having none of that tonight. Walking back to the female dressing room I felt a strong pair of hands grab my arms and pull me into a secluded corner of the arena, from the way my skin was burning at the slightest touch I knew it could only be one man - and I was in trouble.

“Have you been avoiding me all day?”

Doing the Lord's work

Long story short. Me and my tattoo artist friend got on the subject of Hazbin. I told her I want Alastor, she told me to get her some reference pics and she'd do it. After hours of going through Every Alastor scene frame by frame I had 100 screenshots. I needed to narrow down a LOT for reference pics. What better way to do that than a tier list!

So here we have it. My sexy evil deer man tier list!

Let's go through S tier in no particular order:

Silhouette, smile and eyes are great, eyebrows could be ever so slightly better but still PHENOMENAL.

Smile, eyes, eyebrows and hair. All those things being perfect at the same time?! Oh lord, I can't even with this frame. The smile is the perfect shape, very angular with gums showing. His eyes have very predatory sharp slits. Now the eyebrows, *chef's kiss* perfect Disney villain brow arches too!

This is the perfect silhouette. The eyes could be better but the shape is immaculate and the smile is great. Still, love this and it would translate great as a tattoo.

It's nun Alastor. This image needs no explanation.

In this house we appreciate antlers! They will heavily feature in the tattoo so this image gets a spot in S tier.

We can agree we all want to be Husker in this moment, right? To have Alastor looking down at us in smug satisfaction.

It's just good, okay? He is very pleased with the reaction he has gotten out of the poor cat man.

Face could be better but the silhouette is on point!

He couldn't be happier to eat people and I love that for him. Perfect eyebrows and smile.

This might actual favorite expression. It's got everything! Perfectly arched and angular eyebrows, menacing eyes, wicked smile showing a little gums like a snarl.

For some reason his hair swooshing really does something for me. Add antlers and ya girl never stood a chance.

The moral of the story is: I care far too much about eyebrows, smug Alastor is best Alastor, and I should be working on a chapter of Fallen and not combing through screenshots of stupid sexy radio demon.

Man I love Wandee Goodday - this is a grown up bl that's managing to be funny, sexy and informative without becoming preachy. They are repping for everything from mental health and vaccines to communication, consent and fun sex. There's a femme guy who's managing a gym, an ace psychiatrist who's designing sex aids, sensitive boxers, and no evil female character. All this and a villain we all want to the boxer to punch. It's glorious.

Anyway our 'fake' boyfriends continue to be incredibly supportive of each other but NO! DOC! You got that pic of you and Ter out of the bin and saved it. Every now and again I forget that there's nearly a decade's age difference between Dee and Yak - Dee might be smart but, as Kao knows, he's a little immature emotionally.

I'm more shocked by the fact that Dee wore his Teeny Tiger gear to Ter's place than that he left the candles burning. What are you doing Dee? Why did you stay? That smug bastard is complimenting your tiger costume - the tiger costume you should be keeping for Yak.

Honestly I don't blame Yak one little bit - he waits for ages then finds Dee in his sexy tiger getup with a half naked Ter. Do we think Ter deliberately sabotaged his bathroom tap? Yes, yes we do.

Noooo - the inevitable break up. Sometimes I hate the narrative arc - I'd be happy just watching another 5 eps of Dee and Yak just being boyfriends and snuggly and domestic.

And now we have the crying. You silly men, both thinking it's the other who doesn't really care. The reach for the comfort of the necklace that's no longer there? Gutted. Literally gutted.

And now I feel sorry for Taem as well - I thought she liked Mr Student Council. Ter, not so much - even if I believed the manipulative fucker. And of course he passed out so we didn't get to see if Dee would have given him his first kiss while we did see Yak decide not to kiss Taem.

Cher, my sassy little queen, I love you so much. Please give your big boyfriend a smack for us. He is an idiot.

And this is not how I wanted the first kiss - I wanted it to be joyful. It was a good kiss - a great kiss - but neither of them were wearing their colour and they weren't lit by them either. That's what I want to see - them dressed in their yellow and purple, bathed in their light and declaring undying love. Give it to me now!

Wandee Goodday has been a happy counterbalance to the sheer stress and tension of My Stand In. Except this week. Ter and Tong are cut from the same cloth and they both deserve to have the snot slapped out of them.

But because Wandee Goodday has been so delightful so far, this episode has hit me hard - I need to go and watch something tooth achingly sweet and cuddle my cat.

NB the interviews, bts etc are excellent - I don't usually watch these but Great and Inn are so good in them. They're both older than other GMMtv newbies and haven't grown up with the company so are just brilliantly relaxed and playful with each other. Thank you so much. We are all doing much better and in true fashion of my family we somehow have managed to turn it all into laughter. But I do come bearing gifts! Aka random updates about the man that according to my parents I am related to even though I have doubts.

-He burned down his kitchen… twice…in 1 week. All is good, he is good but he did learn a valuable lesson that noodles need water. And that lighting a candle with a paper on fire is NOT a smart move. He is on first name bases with the fire department already though because last year he got his hand stuck in a vase and walked to their station with it and then proceeded to ask if he can go down their pole (he was allowed)
-He made 3 of his (new) friends watch qaf (prom ep and first 4 of s2) and it was INSANE! I felt like I was watching straight men watch Super Bowl. A lot of “WHAT THE FUCK MAN?! GO TO THE FUCKING PROM!” And my all time favorite his friend going “I can’t fucking believe I am rooting for a 30 year old man to crash a fucking prom to get his 18 year old boyfriend back” and my brother screaming at him “STOP USING YOUR FUCKING LOGIC WHEN WATCHING THIS SHOW! IT WILL RUIN IT!”

-Brian the cat had to wear a tiny shirt because he had to have surgery (nothing serious all is good!) and of course my brother made him his very own Brian shirt. My mom said that the vet was very confused by the “I have more balls than the other Brian” shirt… Which, I for real had no clue he put that on the shirt until my mom sent me pics

-he is still very very obsessed with QAF. Any time he or anyone in my family makes an inappropriate comment, he immediately follows it up with ‘Bri Bri would love that one’

-he made our mom and dad watch it in June and he only got into an argument over Brian 1 time. He stormed out and then 10 minutes later came back bc he realized it’s his apartment

-mom and dad both hate Craig. And Mikey. And Ben. And Lindsey and Mel pissed them off too. Dad felt bad about that one bc i was there (i was confused bc im not a fan of them either tbh) so he donated money to a lesbian org to make up for his guilt to which my brother responded by calling him a bitch and saying ‘gay rights! But fuck those two’

-He joined a painting club. He sucks at painting but wanted to try it out and “plus it can’t hurt, worst case, I make some new friends” he forced me to go with him (he’s been very lovely during this grieving journey) and we walked into a painting class full of senior citizens. He thought the “seniors painting club” meant 18+. He made friends with all of them by talking shit about politics. Except the lady named Susie, he got on her good side after he snuck alcohol in and tried to ID her for it.

-he got a tattoo of a duck with a knife and a speech bubble that says ‘duck around and find out’ dad stopped talking to him for 4 days bc of it

-He tried 3 times in May to quit smoking and failed each time because “the world is pissing me off, it’s either this or murder and we all know im crazy enough” however he succeeded it in July due to the next update

-The man went on dates!!!! That’s right plural!!!! It was a mess! But a lovely mess. And a whole ass story that I got to witness first hand because I stayed at my parents over summer. honestly this was the one thing that I was SO excited to tell you guys about if he allowed it (which he did and im typing it up as we speak)

-oh and he also had to have another small surgery on his leg in September and was on crutches for a month but somehow (see update above) he was a lot more chill about it (not really, he was still his usual chaotic dumb self but he actually slept/ate/rested when told (you guessed it due to the above update)

-and last one he said i have to share if I want permission to share the story, which is that the Shrek playlist works. His date found it hilarious on their official real first date and couldn’t stop laughing once the realization kicked in that it’s accidentally in love over and over.

CATS Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre - Hudson, FL (with Pics)

Thanks to Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre for renting our set and having us for the past two weeks in the Junkyard. It's always a delight working with Chaz, and we got to know an incredible cast and crew. I'm not sure how many hashtags I can use so I am going to include the cast list here for pics that arrive since all of you are so talented at Tumblr (the cast is so intrigued by Superfans, btw!)

We had many challenges with a dinner theatre because the stage is very small in order to accommodate tables. As well, actors serve patrons so I needed to design an outfit to protect the costumes and suspend disbelief. And from patron reactions, we've been told this is one of the best openings, if not the best opening, and the best show/costume the theatre has had to date and hoped we'd be back, which was very, very kind of them.

Mungojerrie/Macavity split track, played by Andre Spathelf-Sanders and yeah, this jerk who keeps showing up. I adore the whole cast to bits truly but we're planning on cosplaying Green Lantern together and he was the first to get my "Archer" references in the make up classes. If it's ever of interest, I'm happy to sometime talk about my make up classes and what to do when there are "mistakes" with what I call the Bob Ross Method.

Demeter by Iraya Catalina is making an argument that maybe all Demeters need to be Filipino because she slays!

Jennyanydots and her incredibly supportive husband. She was one of the most delightful people to work with, hilarious, fun, loving, amazing hugs, and just a joy. I've never had a Jenny almost refuse to take the Gumbie suit off (which is a huge compliment). What a joy.

David was the make up designer for all of the designs except Bombalurina's, and I taught about 5-hours of make up classes.

The magic of an incredible LED screen came into play as there were cool effects, such as a first person POV of a cat going to the junkyard (bringing YOU into the show) and the sky changing with the hours of the day, the moon, everything. The lighting designer Dalton Hamilton was wonderful and provided the following photographs. All costumes designed/created by David and myself (The Costume Asylum/Siegert Creative):

ARC-V Month Day 16: Actually, He Would Say That

Look, we all like our cast with their pros and their cons, but sometimes there's just something... missing, when you look at canon portrayal. Some more depth. Some trivial details and silly nitpicks, to add to their flair... which are exactly what today is all about. Show us your headcanons and most random thoughts!

Ah yes, headcanons: my favorite way to patch up the swiss cheese holes in any story ever, and the personal cherry on top I place whwn there are no holes to patch. For someone who claims to have a lot of them, I've shared a rather small amount of my headcanons so far... but that changes today!

1- In a world where the counterparts stay separate, when all is said and done, the Lancers decide to keep in contact at Sawatari's suggestion -shocker, I know- and so they make a groupchat to talk about mundane life and things that strike their fancy. Said groupchat is... actually decently normal considering its members, but you still see flashes of the weirdest shit sometimes- like Dennis' massive collection of kaomojis, Reiji's 10-page long essays on why black coffee is overrated, Shun's inability to stand back and watch this nerdy fuck slander the superior coffee blend, Serena's copious cat stickers and reaction pics, Tsukikage's concerning stash of blackmail screenshots (99% of which is enabled by Sawatari, much to banana's mortfication), and Yuuya's oddly random, unprompted threats of homicide that he never fails to end with an innocent :D

2- Shuuzou has adopted all kids in the messy Akaba/Kurosaki/Hiiragi family tree, some metaphorically, most literally. He even got Himika to sign off custody of Reira, but left Reiji to his own devices because he just- doesn't know how to go about it with the guy. He's still invited to family & friend gatherings, however, and ends up getting called "son" no less than seven times in front of the whole family and the Sakakis. Legend has it that Reiji is still looking for ways to disappear into the ground to this day. Don't get him wrong, he appreciates the sentiment, but everytime he hears the word he straight up bluescreens.

3- As little screentime as they get to actually appear and talk, the monster spirits are very much still willing to communicate with humans- with a few exceptions, of course. Some of the older spirits like the Magistus quartet and Agents have strong reservations toward making themselves known after the dimension split fiasco(s), but then there's little ones like the Wights and the Ghostricks, who just spontaneously spawn into the human world on Halloween (to the dismay of Maiami City's police department, which had to contend with 57 reports of vandalism and stolen candy and various small acts of mischief the first time it happened).

4- The reason behind the Performapals' synergy and eventual archetypal overlap with Odd-Eyes actually goes a few ways back to one of their shows as a wandering troupe. While preparing for departure, Hip Hippo stumbled upon a lone dragon roaming in the wild on their own, and told his companions about it. One hour in and lots of excitable discussion later, their troupe gained a special new member who would soon become their main attraction, and together they resolved to improve their talents, to put on the best show under their master's conduct.

Admittedly... this is quite a bit shorter than I wanted it to be. There are still many headcanons I've yet to put into words, buuuut I'm afraid this submission is a tad late already, so I'll have to ever-so-subtly shove some of those into written works and post the rest on their own later (someday. sometime. eventually. for sure.)

when you guys fight your cats protect you but inevitably play a vital role in you bein on speaking terms again.theyll slowly guide you to eachother under the guise of wanting to show you something and then when you look up bakugou will be right in front of you.they always manage to do this when you’ve properly cooled off too

behold! the 2nd gen, the first offsprings of mano (don't mind the clutter they're living in- they made it their home so they could hide and stay safe from the enemies lmao)

there were five of them- the ones mano hid in our veranda lol. sadly, two of them died when they were a few days old and these 3 lived and made home here :')

our next door neighbours had one daughter but she had severe asthma so she couldn't really go out. they had a big garden and we made a little house for these cats there and they always made sure the cats had food and shelter. so the cats would switch homes sometimes they'd hang out at mine, get bored and then jump over the wall to the neighbour and it was always fun bc atp, both of us had parrots too so we were training the cats not to mess with the parrots (mine was a feisty african grey, hers was those little birdies lol)

oreo (the one who's winking) and whiskers (the cat at the back) stuck around. the third (traitor) left lmao. whiskers was a girlie and would have kids later on which i'll introduce later, but she'll also have more siblings hehe

by the time both mano and whiskers had kids, there were at least 10 cats total that hung around in our area. the backyard was my true home now lol and whenever i came back from school, i would go chill there and let the cats play with me (they would jump on me, scratch me affectionately, rest on my lap or shoulder, or just judge me from a corner lmao).

sometimes at night i would hear them fighting and yowling and since i'm a very light sleeper i would rush outside to shoo away the enemy cat that never warmed up to us lol it was an ugly cat ngl i never took photos of him but his face is fresh in my memory💀 street cats got issues man idk why the fighting every other night lmao

i'm logging off for two weeks from tmrw so i'll come with more tales when i return! i'll tell you about my cat allergy lore and hopefully find better pics hehe. hope you're having fun at home and are well!

RAAAAH to have kittens be so affectionate and loving w me <//3 OMG 10 CATS IN THE AREA IS KINDA CRAZY ??? all of this sounds like such an adventure tho like wah what a lovely time 😭 except for maybe the ugly street cat 💀 PLS DOES HE HAUNT UR DREAMS SKFNKDNFJR truly they do have issues (i say as if i have ever encountered a street cat LMAO)

WHEEEEEEE ofc ofc I will gush abt them all always 🙏🏻 on a base level none of these cats r purebreds or anything they’re all strays either organically found or adopted from a shelter/another home. also there r so many pics i cant make them smaller so everything is utc

Gagamaru and I have one cat that was originally mine, Kabocha. He’s very sweet but is a bit flighty and takes a long time to warm up to Gagamaru; the first time I rlly have the hes the one thought is when I walk in on him napping on my couch w Kabo tucked into the crook of his arm dozing away bc!!!! It’s the first time he’s been comfortable enough to sleep on anyone other than me. Very himbo cat, absolutely gorgeous but total dumbass.

Kuroo and I have three cats! I had two and he had one when we combined households we were veeeeeeery careful w introducing them 🥺 he’s had a grouchy old lady for as long as I’ve known him. Her name is Suki and he took her in as a stray after an elderly neighbor’s son let her loose; she adores him and it’s slow going but she comes to adore me as well. I had a cat that passed a few weeks after I met him and then didn’t have any pets for a while, but then abt half a year before we move in together he stumbles across a trio of kittens on his way to a date w me and the date devolves into us getting them care……. One unfortunately doesn’t make it :( but I end up taking in the other two; they’re a lil girl and boy named Mizuki and Hoshi. Old lady is tolerant of them but they’re def a bit too energetic for her so the only times they rlly interact r when they’re in a puddle together napping…. Suki is the calico, Mizuki and Hoshi r the white ones! Once they’re fully grown they’re both bigger than her, tho Hoshi is an absolute unit and is the biggest by quite a bit

I believe I’ve said this once but. I have a perpetual series of completely normal housecats w Jing Yuan pfft I try my best but they have an unfortunate tendency of hunting his finches :( I only ever have one-three at a time and ofc I adore them all but I do end up w like fifty over the course of our lives together LMFAOOOOO including a few lil lineages where I kept many generations down the line!!! But the three that I’ve thought about r Jade and her kittens Bei and Feng (Yanqing named those two……) bc they’re the ones I have over the course of Mimi’s life. Mimi is a co-parent in their odd little pride, she and Jade grew up together and are very bonded n constantly exasperated by their rambunctious boys……. just like me and mine, though Yanqing and Jing Yuan constantly protest that comparison 🫣

i Have talked abt shanks before but its funny to me so. this lil scrawny tuxedo kitten ends up following me onto the red force one day (bc i fed it) and nobody realizes until we've set off.... i am told i Cannot name it or get attached bc we Will be leaving it on the next island....... except the crew ends up getting attached and they name it sharkbait. SHARKBAIT. FOREVER bitter NEVER getting over it every time shanks and i get into any kind of fight i bring it up "ALSO YOU TOLD ME I COULDNT NAME THE DAMN CAT AND NOW ITS NAMED SHARKBAIT YOU STILL OWE ME" (he will never stop owing me)

Lil bonus bc he’s been on the mind for months now: Capitano is not a cat person in fact when I first ask for one he gets me a pair of massive guard dogs that I stubbornly refuse to name at first and then end up calling Fluffy and Cuddles out of pure spite. Then I bitch enough that he does get me a kitten who Absolutely Fucking Despises Him tries to rip him to shreds every time he gets in bed with me (a week in he admits he finds it endearing but she does get kicked out of the room regularly when he wants alone time) I call her Lady she is a very elegant girl when she is not trying to murder him and actually gets along very well w the dogs, much to Capitano’s chagrin

So I love Atlas so much.

I will say that I wanted to name him Pancake, and my husband told me it was a ridiculous name, and he didn't want to have to explain why our cat was named Pancake. He refused to believe that you don't have to explain or justify a cat's name because it's a fucking cat. But I digress.

I love Atlas with my whole heart, and he's perfect, except when he's FUCKING EATING CLUMPS OF MY GOSH DANG HAIR FROM THE TRASH AFTER I CLEAN MY BRUSH OUT.

I'll also share a pic from a few months ago of him with his older sis, my sweet baby girl who has been with me since college. I love black cats, and she is my sweet darling. She hates everyone except me, including Atlas. She literally tried to bite his face off moments after this picture was taken.
