I’d originally planned for Dragan as my main slot, but… now Novak is here, he’s gonna get his heart broken. Dragan can have the fourth slot instead 🤭
Also it seems like they’re connected somehow.
I’ve also realised for every one of Alice’s stories my favourite LI was the one introduced in season two… except HS2 as I didn’t change LI.

Hello it I again.
I just played The Haze will take us. And NGL. The story is pretty promising. All the men look slutty and the only gal available so far is a redhead (after years we got a second redhead wife guys. Pop the champagne)
I wish we have the option to kill Dragan though fuck that guy. I don't like him. Based on vibes alone by the way. He hasn't done anything except making some condescending gazes but I can smell the red flag from afar. The Priest guy is kind of hot if only I were into men.
And my theory is that Milon killed the sister or it was a priest. Like unless the fog actually kills people this are the only routes. (If it was Dragan I'll act shocked but predictable)
It can't be Tata (stupid ass name like it reads Auntie in french) because you can't be a redhead AND a murderer.
hi hi angel :) <3 so glad to know you're enjoying the haze because same here!!
am i the only one in the fandom who doesn't hate dragan? 😭 i think the dislike towards him is valid as hell tbh he's such an asshole and for WHAT 😭 but i kinda like the dynamic with him ngl because it reminds me of season 2 selena/rob plus i'm so weak for enemies to lovers i fear
he's not at the top of the list for me though like i would say ozar and tata are my faves so far because ozar's devilish charm ??? the way he "looked at lada like he wanted to eat her" ??? PLS and with tata i just loved the sheer romantic tension and vulnerability in her scenes though i am dreading the possibility of her being sidelined like what often happens with femme LIs in alice's books :/
since you only romance women, i'm actively praying that there won't be any sidelining and that the extra LI will have a man/woman option because ??? who deserves to win if not the lesbians
i'm actually betting on the haze having something to do with the sister's murder even if it's only indirectly but i'm not sure yet we just gotta wait and see 👀

On Sunday, 29 December 2024, Croatia held presidential elections. The incumbent President Zoran Milanović won the first round in a landslide against the pro-globalist challenger Dragan Primorac. Primorac was strongly backed by the ruling party, the Croatian Democratic Union, led by the Prime Minister Andrej Plenković who has been a loyal supporter of NATO, US, UK and EU policies. In winning the Presidency, the ruling party would have captured all of Croatia's key institutions of government.
(Another) Putin’s stooge wins
To push their candidate over the line the ruling establishment and the media relentlessly demonized President Milanović as Putin's stooge and a pro-Russian player on account of his unwillingness to engage Croatian troops in NATO's excellent adventures in Ukraine. Well, their cunning plan backfired spectacularly and Putin's stooge won nearly 50% of the popular vote vs. less than 20% for the pro-freedom & democracy challenger. That's about as close as it gets to a landslide in Croatian politics.
It would appear that, not only is there no appetite for the Empire and its military misadventures, but below the surface, the mood toward Russia is changing, and changing in a big way.
Ballet or twerking?
On Christmas eve, Milan's La Scala theater gave the performance of Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker ballet. This wouldn't seem exceptional: the ballet is a masterpiece and the music is among the most famous and most beautiful in our cultural heritage.

I love the Castlevania show, but I can't help but be miffed by how much of the source material and colorful bestiary the show tends to ignore in favor of more vampires. I love characters such as Striga and Morana, but then you've got fairly generic ones like Dragan or Nikolai, who are just there to be obstacles and don't have any real personality themselves.
It's just a little confusing, because why do the writers keep trying to come up with OCs when they have plenty to pull from the actual games? In the games, vampires themselves are actually very rare; They're usually only represented by endgame bosses like Dracula, Bartley, Brauner, etc. Otherwise, the vast majority of enemies are night creatures, ghosts, haunted suits of armor, and the like.
But instead of embracing the weirder monsters like the Minotaur or Werewolves, the Castlevania show keeps defaulting to regular old vampires who are basically just humans with pointy ears and teeth. The show keeps defaulting to Vampire melodrama, like it's trying to emulate other pieces of Vampire media, instead of embracing what sets Castlevania apart from those stories. It has a concerning lack of weird castle exploration for a show called Castlevania.
Skeletons only appear in one scene, and I'm sorry but a common staple of a series should not be reduced to a mere fanservice cameo. It's like the Resident Evil live-action films making everything about zombies and reluctantly including a Licker as the ultimate monster. It's like if the Super Mario Bros. Movie barely had Goombas, they made the show too normal from the source material.
That isn't to say the source material is a perfect narrative, far from it; It can get pretty damn repetitive at times, especially with certain character roles and dynamics. I'll die on the hill that Annette's reimagining was justified, and Ortega and Hugh Baldwin are admittedly less interesting versions of Maxim Kischine.
The repetition makes sense! Castlevania's priority is gameplay, and each installment is meant to be its own thing. But when you're doing it as a TV show, a story, and having each story arc play a part in a larger narrative, you have to mix things up in terms of story and characterization, because you can't rely on different gameplay mechanics and levels to differentiate entries in an animated show.
But all that said, it's tiring how much the show will ignore aspects that wouldn't conflict with the writing at all in favor of more generic vampires. I don't want to see vampire politics and melodrama, but it's infinitely more interesting if its melodrama and politics between slimes and minotaurs!
I dunno, it feels like the show is limiting itself on an aesthetical level. What difference does it make in terms of writing if there's a flying Medusa head, or an Axe Armor? I think the writers are afraid of coming across as 'corny' as if Castlevania itself isn't crazy and anime as hell, but this just makes them come across as lacking sincerity. It's like how people complained about a bunch of 2000's movie adaptations of superheroes watering down everything to be more 'serious' and 'realistic' and 'believable', but it just made it grey and boring and cut away what made it unique.
The writers could've easily replaced characters like Dragan with, say, Sir Grakul from Super Castlevania IV, or had freakish looking night creatures be the ones to monologue (instead of treating Flyseyes as the one exception). There's acceptable departures from the source material, and then there's just straight up ignoring it, and then going out of its way to make up new things when stuff is already there to use. It's not as if the animators struggle with animating non-humanoid beings, considering how many unique night creatures they've come up with. So can we please stop being lowkey embarrassed of the source material???
It'd honestly make the show so much more memorable if we got to see Richter fighting a Skull Knight or Mummy. It's just so much wasted potential, especially when they ignore game Richter's compelling narrative of a Fallen Hero, in favor of making up something completely different. I can understand revising protagonists who barely have anything to them, like John Morris from Bloodlines, but Richter HAD a meaningful storyline to expand on, and one that deconstructs his role as a vampire hunter!
Given the show's attempts to be a grittier deconstruction and its suggestion that killing vampires isn't 100% good, I don't know why they didn't go with the idea of Knight Templar Richter whose desire to be needed in battle leaves him vulnerable to Shaft's brainwashing. The deeper, character-driven writing does not have to be mutually exclusive from fantastical and weird elements.

The political tides in Europe are turning against the Empire A radical change in mood among the people is more and more evident. Is it a tsunami in the making? (Alex Krainer's Substack)

Primorac was strongly backed by the ruling party, the Croatian Democratic Union, led by the Prime Minister Andrej Plenković who has been a loyal supporter of NATO, US, UK and EU policies.
But barely three years ago, everyone across Europe was falling over themselves to cancel all things Russian, including the performances of Tchaikovsky's music and university courses in Russian literature. Last week La Scala not only presented Tchaikovsky's ballet, it did so based on Rudolf Nureyev's choreography and invited a Russian conductor, Valery Ovsyanikov of St Petersburg's Mariinsky Theatre to direct the orchestra. To boot, Italian national TV broadcast the whole performance.
I am not a ballet fan, but La Scala's production was done so beautifully that I ended up watching a good chunk of it. The music, the scene, the costimography and the music were a feast for the eyes and I remained glued to the TV for a good half of the performance (otherwise I never watch TV anymore). It was a wholesome contrast to the twerking and other such lewd spectacles like the opening and closing ceremonies of Paris Olympics - the kind of demoralizing cultural poison we've come to expect in the West.
Are the countercurrents gathering?
I couldn't help wondering if there wasn't something purposeful in La Scala's choice of production and artists this Christmas: a deliberate and explicit rejection of the Western devious junk culture as well as the forced, mindless hostility against Russia. If so, it seems that the same cultural countercurrents seem to be gripping many nations as the recent elections in the United States, Slovakia, Romania, Georgia, Hungary, France, Germany, Croatia and Moldova have shown (yes, Moldova too).
It may be that in spite of the loud banging of the war-drums in mainstream media, and among our political class, very different currents are gathering below the surface. These currents might continue to gain strength; it’s what our ruling establishments like to label as Russia's malign influence. More likely, the truth is that ordinary people got tired of the lies, hatred, hostility and the wars, as well as the intellectual and cultural junk food that's become the pervasive staple among Western nations. This is a hopeful sign, because escalating the wars could prove difficult for the imperial establishment. What if peace starts to break out all over the place in 2025? It’s a worthwhile idea to pray for and struggle for.

Operation Allied Force
The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) carried out an aerial bombing campaign against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the Kosovo War. The air strikes lasted from 24 March 1999 to 10 June 1999. The bombings continued until an agreement was reached that led to the withdrawal of Yugoslav armed forces from Kosovo, and the establishment of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo, a UN peacekeeping mission in Kosovo. The official NATO operation code name was “Operation Allied Force” whereas the United States called it “Operation Noble Anvil”; in Yugoslavia the operation was incorrectly called “Merciful Angel” (Serbian: Милосрдни анђео / Milosrdni anđeo) as a result of a misunderstanding or mistranslation.
NATO’s intervention was prompted by Yugoslavia’s bloodshed and ethnic cleansing of Albanians, which drove the Albanians into neighbouring countries and had the potential to destabilize the region. Yugoslavia’s actions had already provoked condemnation by international organisations and agencies such as the UN, NATO, and various INGOs. Yugoslavia refused to sign the Rambouillet Accords which was offered as an initial justification for NATO’s use of force. NATO countries attempted to gain authorisation from the UN Security Council for military action, but were opposed by China and Russia, who indicated that they would veto such a measure. As a result, NATO launched its campaign without the UN’s approval, stating that it was a humanitarian intervention. The UN Charter prohibits the use of force except in the case of a decision by the Security Council under Chapter VII, or self-defence against an armed attack – neither of which were present in this case.
An important portion of the war involved combat between the Yugoslav Air Force and the opposing air forces from NATO. United States Air Force F-15s and F-16s flying from Italian airforce bases attacked the defending Yugoslav fighters, mainly MiG-29s, which were in poor condition due to a lack of spare parts and maintenance. Other NATO forces also contributed to the air war.
During the night of 24/25 March 1999: Yugoslav Air Force scrambled five MiG-29s to counter the initial attacks. Two fighters that took off from Niš Airport were vectored to intercept targets over southern Serbia and Kosovo were dealt with by NATO fighters. The MiG-29 flown by Maj. Dragan Ilić was damaged; he landed with one engine out and the aircraft was later expended as a decoy. The second MiG, flown by Maj. Iljo Arizanov, was shot down by an USAF F-15C piloted by Lt. Col. Cesar Rodriguez. A pair from Batajnica Air Base (Maj. Nebojša Nikolić and Maj. Ljubiša Kulačin) were engaged by USAF Capt. Mike Shower who shot down Nikolić while Kulačin evaded several missiles fired at him, while fighting to bring his malfunctioning systems back to working order. Eventually realising that he could not do anything, and with Batajnica AB under attack, Kulačin diverted to Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, hiding his aircraft under the tail of a parked airliner.[91] The fifth and last MiG-29 to get airborne that night was flown by Maj. Predrag Milutinović. Immediately after take-off his radar failed and electrical generator malfunctioned. Shortly after, he was warned of being acquired by fire control radar, but he eluded the opponent by several evasive manoeuvres. Attempting to evade further encounters, he approached Niš Airport, intending to land, when he was possibly hit by an 2K12 Kub in a friendly fire incident, but more probably he was shot down by a KLU F-16AM flown by Maj. Peter Tankink and forced to eject.
In the morning of 25 March, Maj. Slobodan Tešanović stalled his MiG-29 while landing on Ponikve Airbase after a re-basing flight. He ejected safely.
During the war Yugoslav strike aircraft J-22 Oraos and G-4 Super Galebs performed some 20–30 combat missions against the KLA in Kosovo at treetop level causing some casualties. During one of those missions on 25 March 1999, Lt. Colonel Života Ðurić was killed when his J-22 Orao hit a hill in Kosovo. It was never firmly established whether an aircraft malfunction, pilot error or if enemy action (by KLA) was the cause (NATO never claimed they shot it down).
In the afternoon of 25 March 1999 two Yugoslav MiG-29s took off from Batajnica to chase a lone NATO aircraft flying in the direction of the Bosnian border. They crossed the border and were engaged by two US F-15s. Both MiGs were shot down by Captain Jeff Hwang. One MiG pilot, Major Slobodan Perić, having evaded at least one missile before being hit ejected, was later smuggled back to Yugoslavia by the Republika Srpska police. The other pilot, Captain Zoran Radosavljević, did not eject and was killed.

Demo for Triangle Strategy complete. Did both options for the split path.
Story-wise, things were slow to pick up, and I wouldn't exactly say that they've gotten better in that regard, but there's at least a slight hook. Granted, because I read the notes and such, but it counts.
I'll start with the less exciting path. Hyzante feels kinda bland to me. It's really, really transparent what's going on and generally what their deal is. "All are equal under the goddess, do not ask about the slave class in the salt mines." Their equality is completely fabricated, unsurprisingly, and the chapter's battle is going to do all in its power to really hammer in that this is not a good place. Though its means of doing so is, admittedly, super fucking funny to me. Yeah, this rogue researcher stole documents and is running off with them because he wants to be in control of his own research. Like...my dude. We know the names of famous physicians in this center. Fame and notoriety and your name attached to your work is still a thing. The only reason for you to do this is because you want royalties along with it. The ice mage talks about a more reasonable aspect - being told what to research rather than having creative freedom in your pursuits - but that's not what the battle is about. Hyzante, as a result, just feels kinda middling to me as a route. I have very little interest beyond its ties to Frederica's people.
Aesfrost, by comparison, is kinda neat. They want to push the notion of meritocracy, where everyone is free to do what brings them fulfillment. Except for the part where they're poor, and this absolute freedom means corruption at the highest levels as soldiers are in on illicit salt trades. But like. At least the group there feel like people. Hyzante feels very stale, in part because no one there exudes any kind of personality beyond worship and all that. Aesfrost is a colorful group, with Dragan being super ambitious, Thalas being a little snot, Erica seeming like she's the smarter of those siblings but not in a position to act, that one guy you meet on the way in who seems super chill with Roland, and even the head of the nation who has an introduction that...kinda sums up my feelings on the general presentation.
During your interaction with him, he asks what you think of this joint mining venture. This is like the third time someone asked me this, and my response has been consistent: "it's a good venture that will benefit everyone equally." And he's the first to kinda push back on that, replying "So you think just because the spoils are equally shared, that will bring peace? Since when have men ever sought to be equal to their peers?" And that's such a great introduction to this guy. What a great way to showcase exactly how this guy things, and where his values are as someone who believes fully in this meritocracy and its necessity.
But they keep this going into Serenoa asking what he means, and getting the line "I can't stand people who would impose equality on others." And it feels like it shifts into a very heavy-handed presentation.
Which was the major issue with Hyzante too, and kinda what I'm setting up to expect with this. Hyzante was super on the nose, going really far out of its way to push how much everything is a lie, and make sure there's an understanding that despite outward statements of equality, there's a clear slave class and ruling class, and absolutely no potential for upward mobility. Aesfrost is a little more dynamic, but that line about imposing equality feels like it's very strongly making sure you know this guy isn't just ambitious and all about competition, he feels like any intervention for equality is a net negative, and sometimes there are just losers cast into the dregs. It's not like...embarrassingly over-done, but give how long these intro chapters go for story-wise, it's the kind of thing that could've been parsed down.
Now, the flip side of this is that, with the supplemental bits, you actually get a great picture of why things are like this, and it's really interesting background that is keeping me engaged with what's going on. The book in question talks about the peace agreement following the Saltiron War, and how nations fared. Glenbrook is apparently a big name, and has access to a lot of general resources that keeps them in a strong position. Hyzante has access to salt, which is a necessity for life, and has always lived luxuriously as a result. Aesfrost, by comparison, has iron, which isn't as essential, and exists in a harsher climate with less to offer than Glenbook.
The book really only mentions that trade was hard for Aesfrost, and that during the war, their already small population suffered the most casualties. What you can pick up between the lines is that this goes back way before the war, where their position was always pretty bad, and likely part of the catalyst for war was their demands for better opportunity. Hyzante, as a nation all about rigid class structure and hegemony of power to their ruling class whether it admits it or not, has an invested interest in keeping the rival nation under the control of their salt distribution. Given the comment on losses during the war, it sounds like Aesfrost was poised to lose, and had the war carried on, they likely would've been in an even worse position as Hyzante could make more forceful demands as the victor. But the peace that exists isn't exactly beneficial for them either, they're the clear loser even in the peace accord, and the main takeaway you're given is that the people of Aesfrost as largely in poverty.
It takes some supplemental material to get a bit of this, but I think overall it's painting an interesting landscape with a lot of questions about the world. I'm enjoying it and plan to keep going. Apparently the nearest GameStop to me (like half an hour away) has one in stock, so I'm hoping to pick it up tomorrow when I get Unicorn Overlord. Unicorn Overlord comes first, I really liked that one, but I'd like to get both if I can.

New Story Time!!!
I’m working on a new story!! Here is some basic Information on it!! (this was on twit but it’s a shit show so it’s getting moved over here lol)
It’s going to be called The World of Fae, more info below. If you have questions, please ask!!
The basic story overview for The World of Fae, everything natural in this world is run by the fae in the background, so small and quick most humans can't see them. To make sure things get done in a timely manner, a head for each kind of fae was assigned early on in their time on this planet. The head fae will have group meetings at certain intervals, usually a week or so before season change, to make sure that everyone sticks to their tasks and will have their underlings do the same. Not all head fae have to come to every season meeting, for example, Neve and Oighear only need to come to the winter and spring meetings and aren't required in the summer and fall ones unless they wish to come. The head fae have 2 different forms, one is a small classic fairy while the other is closer to a human (designs below). The head fae will often interact with eachother outside of the meetings as well, either to do their job or just for fun. All head faes, minus Flann and Kira, are poly and will date the other faes (minus a few exceptions such as the cases of siblings).

🦇Arshak Skraidor🦇
Lore references! In order, you will find:
🖤Personality.
🩸Pre Heresy.
🩸Horus Heresy.
🩸Post Heresy.
🩸40M/41M.
You can also check out the hashtag "lore" (or if you need time references: "30k" or "40k") to find more detailed infos, but I'll be adding the links anyway.
🖤Personality
[He has psychological marks of the VII and XII]
At first look, Arshak would look like any other son of Curze, except for his white hair. He's calm and chilled most of the time, it's very rare to see him angry. Contrary to what may seems, he's quite open to others, he enjoys spending time with his brothers or with someone who he believes its worthy of his attention. Very stubborn, he refuses to yield even to fate itself. He values deeply new knowledge, he's very curious.
Differently from many of his brothers, he is quite a noble soul (compared to the average Night Lords) and strongly believes in the bounds of brotherhood, however in the 40M he has become way more ruthless.
He was and is right now deeply loyal to his Primarch, even millenia after his death. He will not stand anyone who dares to disrespect his name.
He is disgusted by the corruptions of the warp, as his father was, for he believes that only the weaks need to sell themselves to become stronger. As such, he feels disdain for many of the other chaos legions and even for some of his brothers. However, he does not hate psykers, instead he thinks psykics abilities can be very useful when properly used.
He has different options for each legions, even after the Heresy, so he usually acts according to them when he has to deal with his brothers.
🩸Pre- Heresy:
Arshak Skraidor was born of Nostramo, from a low noble family. The family itself is actually a minor branch of the more famous and prestigious family of the Skraivok (👉🏻 notable member: Gendor Skraivok).
The Skraivok family has deep roots in the story of Nostramo, but a few centuries before the arrival of Curze, there was an internal struggle between two brothers for the right to be at the head of the family. After years of assassinations and backstabbing, the brothers decided to separate from each other: one took the place of leader of the Skraivok family, the other slightly changed his last name into Skraidor, starting his own lineage. Nowadays, Gendor Skraivok knows of their family's history, while Arshak never really cared about it.
During the Crusade he rose to the rank of Captain of the 28th company and slowly began to become closer to the First Captain, also thanks to the various missions that saw those companies working together.
He personally met many members of the other legions, like Sigismund. In this regard, Arshak was probably the only Night Lord that the First Captain of the Imperial Fists didn't found morality disgusting. Quite the opposite in fact. See their first encounter and Sigismund's thoughts here: details + pic.
During this period, he fought along side with many of the other companies, like the 10th and the 8th, where belonged the legionary Dragan.

1, 13, and 16 for the TriStrat ask meme?
1. Favorite Playable Character/Unit? Oh, definitely Corentin. Love that guy. I'm also super fond of Anna, as she was one of my favorites in the main storyline and also my MVP in battle. I basically like all the playable characters though, everyone was super unique in battle and offered a lot of different ways to form strategies, but also the range of characters was really fun and I enjoyed their story stuff a whole lot as well.
13. Were there any npcs you wish were recruitable? It would literally make no sense, not a single bit of sense, negative sense in fact, for the overall story, but damn do I wish we got Dragan as a playable character. He was just so, so interesting for the few scenes he got and I would have loved to see more of him. Unfortunately the entire story could not work at all as it does without him dying, so...
That said I wouldn't have turned my nose up at a playable Svarog either. I think he would have been really fun to play with that big warhammer he has, but it also would have been interesting to see how his character was explored further in the character stories.
16. Any headcanons you enjoy? Oh boy, if you feel up to it I've actually written out quite a few headcanons (here, here, and here), but of these my favorite is the silly "Corentin invents refrigeration".
For new headcanons though, I've been turning Clarus's characterization over in my head for a few months now, and like, he's such a weird character. Because I played the morality and golden route endings first, (and also never discovered the secret fight club in either of those runs), I got to see the best side of Clarus first, and was therefore very confused by the fact that he looks like a villain in his official art. When I checked out the other two endings (as well as the fight club route option earlier in the game), I figured out why he was probably designed to look like the greediest most scheming merchant who ever schemed. That all said, I still think it's really strange that he was so willing to help Serenoa and Frederica in the morality/golden routes with breaking the Roselle out of the Source, so much so that he endured what is heavily implied to be torture at Kamsell's hands (in the golden route at least).
Now, Clarus does side with Hyzante in the liberty route, but only after Benedict makes it impossible for Clarus to side with Serenoa--so I'm still sort of "wild mass speculation, waving hands at a corkboard with pins and strings on it" here, and this is half theory half wild headcanon, but like. I think Clarus might have had some connection to the Roselle, in some way, that makes him so sympathetic to Frederica's cause, and so willing to go to extreme lengths to help them escape the Source. Like he is very much the sort of character who looks out for himself first and foremost, who's only interested in profit, except when it comes to trying to free the Roselle, and the only thing I can imagine is that maybe he knew a Rosellen person, maybe even loved them, and then lost them.
So uh, yeah, that's my wild theory/headcanon for the day. I still haven't finished letting it stew, so sorry for being a bit scattered there, but uh, *finger snaps* yeah.
#kelbunny#triangle strategy#ask game#I still don't have an ask tag#Kamsell's line about ''better men breaking under less'' when talking about Clarus in the golden route battle was hmm#deeply disturbing but in the ''hey what the fuck this is going to haunt my thoughts forever now'' kind of way#makes me wonder if Clarus just got outright killed in the morality ending...#but anywho that's a separate post for a day when my thoughts are done stewing

VERSES
VLAD MUSAT (Main/Modern Verse, Aged 32 ; FC: Luke Evans)
Vlad is currently just under 600 years old, and a CEO of his own restoration company, ReVamp Restorations, INC. The company restores old landmarks, buildings and homes, and is expanded globally. He lives in London, England, and has a house in his homeland of Romania which he visits on holiday. Vlad changed his last name to his mother’s maiden name so he would not be recognized. He isn’t usually around others outside of his job, and his quiet time consists of more work due to his need to constantly be occupied.
FROM PRINCE TO BEAST (After the war with Mehmed II)
No longer the voivode for Wallachia, Vlad has hidden away high in the Carpathian Mountains, dwelling in an abandoned and long forgotten castle. Weary travelers or people who have gotten lost on their journeys sought shelter in the castle and Vlad happily took them in, but for a price: that they would serve him forever. They’ve agreed, and happily serve him regardless of knowing what he is and who he once was. His servants are his only real company and Vlad has looked to them as an almost family to him.
HE WHO STILL REIGNS (After the war with Mehmed II, Alternate Ending)
Vlad has returned after fighting and defeating Mehmed, taking his place on the throne once more. Only this time, he is a vampire. He now rules over the lands Mehmed once did, except he is not known as Sultan, he remains Prince. His dwellings are still within Wallachia which is newly rebuilt, his army becomes vast and stronger than any other army around, and though weary of others, he still rules as he once did. His heart is heavy with the loss of his wife, and the duty of raising their son on his own. But he does everything and anything for Ingeras so he doesn’t have to suffer anymore than he already has.
PRINCE OF WALLACHIA (Pre war with Mehmed II)
Vlad is Voivode to Wallachia, and is reigning peacefully. His rulings are fair and his people adore him. He is not married, and not with any children. Vlad’s adviser pushes him to marry someone already to give him an heir, but it is not something Vlad is in a rush for even though he wishes to have a family of his own someday. Vlad is always holding Council with his noblemen or working on kingly duties, but one can find him constantly with his nose in a book, learning something new and enticing.
*Alternate Version* ; Vlad is Prince, and ruling with Mirena. This takes place a year before the war with Mehmed.
THE COUNT (1880 - early 1900s ; very loosely based on Bram Stoker’s version)
London’s new resident is a centuries old vampire, having just bought into real estate. Vlad D.racula leads a quiet life, not bothering anyone as he tries to make his life somewhat normal. He prays upon people, though not savagely, and drinks only enough for him to be satisfied. Afterwards, he heals them with his own blood and wipes away their memory of anything that had transpired between them.
HUMAN (Modern day, Aged 33)
Vlad Dragan was raised in Romania along with his three brothers on a vast farm. Having ambitions far bigger than the life he was meant to have, Vlad made sure he excelled in school before getting a scholarship for Oxford in London. There, he studied History and Archaeology, and became an archaeologist. His job has taken him all over the world, but his home base remains London, and he works as both an Archaeology professor in Oxford as well as studying artifacts in England’s Natural History Museum.
WIZARDING WORLD (Taking place throughout the HP series, Timeline varies)
A vampire as a professor? Vlad is! Vlad works at Hogwarts as a History of Magic professor. He doesn’t socialize too much with others outside of when classes are in session, but he does attend every school event and never misses a meeting. He is also a Hufflepuff (I personally think he’s a hybrid of Hufflepuff and Gryffindor…so Gryffinpuff. But to be technical, Hufflepuff).
VAMPIRE KING (Tolkien semi-loosely based, takes place during ‘The Hobbit’ and on; also, using Welsh as the language for Men in my verse since there are hardly any translations in Adunaic, and Welsh is a pretty awesome language so try not to correct me on this for all you super Tolkien canon fanatics)
Vlad Alastor is Edain, from the House of Marach during the First Age. He lived in Dor-lomin, part of Hithlum, and ruled as King for many prosperous yet tough years. But Morgoth struck war upon the lands, and Vlad knew his army wouldn’t be enough to win the war. He sought help from a dark, magical being living in the mountains that turned him into a fampyr (my own derivation from the Welsh spelling for vampire) for a hefty price of his soul once the time came. As Nírnaeth Arnoediad occurred, most of Vlad’s army was defeated but he himself was able to defeat the enemy, driving away the evil forces. But due to Dor-lomin crumbling away from the war, and more evil forces eventually ascending upon the country, Vlad was overthrown as king and banished from the lands he grew up on and ruled. Having an idea, he faked his death, and Vlad ran as far away as he could. Many, many years had passed, and by the time of the Third Age, Vlad is king in Rhun, his residence lay beyond the Sea of Rhun. { Rhun is under Welsh/Celtic influences in my version to better fit how I have Vlad so please don't be that person and point out that I've got Rhun wrong or I can't have Vlad ruling Rhun or something along those lines. If you don't like it, don't interact with this verse. }
Voivode D.racula (Br.idgerton AU)
Born into a long line of nobility over in Romania, Vlad has become the newest Voivode of Wallachia. Having connections to the Queen herself through imports and friendship, Vlad frequents England often and enjoys his time there. He was once married but has since lost his love in childbirth, along with their newborn son. Vlad has yet to find another, although he hasn't been searching. His love for his deceased wife still has a hold on his heart. But can there possibly be another out there to show the voivode how to open his heart to loving yet again?
ABILITIES AND WEAKNESSES
+ IMPORTANT +
Vlad is part of a bloodline he solely shares with his superior, Caligula: the vampire who turned him, due to having no choice but to dwell in a cave for eons until he was able to pass on his powers to Vlad and set himself free. Therefore, his abilities and weaknesses are different from any other bloodline. His transformation is different, as well as the way he turns others, which never happens unless it happens in a thread.
ABILITIES
Shapeshifts into bats / Manipulates bats at his will / Super strength and speed / Heightened sight, smell and hearing / Weather manipulation (to an extent) / Mind manipulation (to an extent) / Healing - Very small increments of his blood, when taken via mouth, can heal a person. There is no guarentee that it can revive a person if they are dying.
WEAKNESSES
Silver / Wooden and silver stakes (both fatal if directly piercing his heart) / Direct sunlight
OTHER INFORMATION
Vlad sleeps, but only for a few hours. He needs to be in a completely dark room in order to sleep soundly, or else he’ll be quite irritable. Vlad is able to walk during the day while using his weather manipulation powers to cover up the sun’s harmful rays with clouds. Holy objects do not harm Vlad. It isn’t specified why in the film, but for RP purposes, it’s due to him being so in-tuned with his religion even when he was turned that his God saw the good in him regardless of the fact he was a now a monster (his religion during the time was and remains to be Orthodox). Vlad can eat food but chooses not to usually. The taste of food has not faded for him even though he is a vampire. He does not crave food, nor does he need to live off it, therefore he doesn’t really eat anything unless it’s to keep up appearences. Vlad lives off of animal blood mainly, but knows a guy that slips him blood bags from a blood bank to keep in the house.

Stealth Is An Option
Characters: (Payday) Bain, King, Houston, brief mentions of Dragan and Jacket
Warnings: None
A quiet bank hit, it was easy enough for most heisters, with the exception of the new addition to the crew. Bain had requested for the resident ghost, Houston, to show King the ropes of a stealthier approach. Going in quietly was something he'd done before in his line of work, but it never stayed quiet for long, always ending in a blaze of gunfire and screaming.
With the Payday gang however, there were simply too many cases where an approach like that would only screw them over. And once King admitted that fact, it seemed beneficial to have one of them walk him through it. Training with Houston in the safehouse worked fine enough, but the only way to tell if he could be sent in without starting a firefight was to give him a real job. That's what led the heisters to where they were now, standing in front of a Harvest & Trustees.
Just in case the attempt did end in more bloodshed than they anticipated, they brought along two of the crews better fighters. Jacket and Dragan waited outside, taking drags off of their respective while they waited, anticipating a fight at any moment. To Bain, it seemed like it would be downright reckless to just send two heisters alone, especially when one wasn't fully confident in his capabilities. Neither Houston nor King tried to argue with it, Houston tried to assure Bain that with him around, he'd be able to get King through it easily. It was the opposite on the others end, saying that if it did go to hell- he'd be able to handle himself.
Glancing over his weapons one last time, Houston looked over to King, he'd armed himself with a suppressed Chimano and a combat knife. With no armor on, he would be able to slip right past anyone without them pondering his intentions for a second. That was something Houston hadn't explained to him, which led him to believe he'd had more experience with blending in than he let on. It made sense, the way he carried himself spoke volumes about his past, despite his age.
"You can handle yourself, right?" The ghost questioned, getting a nod in return. "Alright, just checkin' man.. remember, you go through the back and I'll go grab the drill. Find the keycard, take out the cameras." He explained once more, as if they hadn't gone over the plan twenty times before leaving. King understood why he was doing this, but it didn't mean he wasn't ever so slightly annoyed. "Yeah, I got it. Let's get our payday."
One last shared nod between the two and they were off, Houston was quick to cut open the fence next to him with his pliers. Crouching down and moving through, he caught sight of the thermal drill, stashed in the trunk of a parked car. While he went off to do that, King moved down the sidewalk and around the back. Walking past the large sign, he took his mask out from under his suit jacket and strapped it onto his head. The back door was wide open already, someone had to be close. Hopefully the bank manager, maybe out for a smoke break.
Taking out his concealed blade, he held it close to his leg while moving into the narrow hall. The chatter and noise from the main room would make it much easier to get away with a couple things, a sudden yelp or two wouldnt raise much if any suspicion. A damn near silent thermal drill would also be unidentifiable, as long as no one got close.
The security office was immediately spotted out by King, next to the staircase and the hall he now walked out of held it. The door was locked, obviously, so that's where the keycard came into play. Footsteps from the stairs above caught his attention, either a guard or the manager. Either would work. They sounded as if they were moving away, up to the roof. It would make sneaking up on whoever it was even easier, perfect for him, not so much for the other guy.
Slipping past the sightline of the door ahead, King began to make his way up the stairs. He did his best to make as little noise as possible, trying to time his steps with the others. Light taps from their shoes was all that the two could hear, if there was another pair moving unevenly from that then it would make them start questioning. This approach forced him to go slower than he would've liked to, but the benefit was that it gave the crook time to identify just who he was running into. And it was indeed the manager, easily spotted out by his classy attire.
Killing him wasn't an option, but King kept the knife out for intimidation nonetheless. He looked a little outside to see if anyone else, or god forbid a camera watched him from the roof. But luckily enough, there was none. Now he just had to stop him before he did reach someone else that could see him, picking up his pace rather suddenly, King closed the gap between him and the manager in seconds. One hand reached around and grabbed him by the mouth, and the other held the tip of the knife to his back. A muffled gasp left him, and his hands shot up into the air. "Stay quiet." King commanded, his voice low and husky.
To stay alive, the manager followed Kings order and following motions. He was slowly brought down to the ground, and his mouth was released, allowing him to breathe a little easier. But not by much, as the danger of an armed robber was still present. His hands were ziptied together, and his pockets were searched. The manager was more grateful that his wallet was left alone, as that wasn't Kings concern. No, he wanted the keycard, which is just what he found. He took it out of the others pocket and stood upright, "Stay here, don't make a peep, and you'll live." King whispered to him, turning away and descending the stairs to leave the manager there until someone found him, hopefully after they were long gone.
Kings attention now focused on the cameras, the thing Houston was most likely waiting on to be taken out before he made any moves inside. It was hard to not get spotted when you were hauling a bright orange bag on your back, so having someone else get rid of that threat would make the job easy.
Upon reaching the door, he slid the keycard into its designated slit and the door beeped, giving him the go-ahead that it was now unlocked. The guard inside looked over to see it open up, with one of the infamous clowns standing there, a knife in hand. There was an attempt to get his gun out to open fire, but it failed. King rushed forward and pushed him into the wall, the armor didn't do much to help as before he could get himself recuperated for a retaliation, the knife was stabbed into his throat.
Blood began to seep from the wound, and when the knife was ripped out, it sprayed slightly. A few steps back were taken to keep King out of the radius while the guard choked in his last moments, the life leaving him in seconds. A part of it made it sad to watch, just doing his job, and this is what he got for it. But he knew the danger he was getting into when he took it, that was obvious by the armor and office he was locked in. Just as King went to speak through his earpiece, the pager on the corpse beeped. He must've hit it once slamming against the wall, shit.
"Hey, what's going on over there?" The voice on the other side spoke out, King ducked down next to it and grabbed on, lifting his mask up so his voice was clear. "Why are you calling me? You want some company over there, control? I can come over there if you want me to." He mused, glancing at the corpse he took the pager from. "Er.. yeah, okay, whatever." The man responded, going quiet on the other side.
Jeez, the guy behind that really didn't give much of a shit. Houston had told him that anyone could say anything and they seemed to brush it off, hell, Jimmy and Rust had threatened them all a few times and it didn't seem to matter. It seemed to be as long as there was a voice there to confirm someone was breathing, even if it wasn't the guard.
A soft sigh of relief left King and he stood back up, raising his free hand he pressed down on his earpiece. "Cams are down, can't say much about the other guards." He muttered, "I'll go and check where they a-"
"Hey!" A voice called out from behind, another guard, shit. He'd wandered out here and seen the blood, and unlike the one he'd just killed, he had his gun drawn and aimed. Unless King wanted shots in his spine, he had to cooperate just for now. He raised his hands up and looked back at the guard, watching him closely as he approached. He kept aiming with one hand while the other took his cuffs off of his belt, "Stay there." Great, now he was the one taking commands.
He was pulled down to his knees, the cuffs being locked around his wrists tight in less than a second. King could see the guards eyes widening as he saw what had happened to the other, a soft "Jesus Christ" leaving his lips. He turned to look at the cameras, which was when he saw the other heister outside. King had to take him out now, and with cuffs holding his hands together, he had a plan already set in motion.
In a swift motion, King got up onto his feet and threw his arms over the guards shoulders. Ripping back, the chain link on his cuffs went around his neck and began to choke him. Gagging and sputtering ensued, his arms flailed wildly around as he made a desperate, but vain attempt to escape his fate. Seconds felt like hours to him, but it was almost as soon as it started that he began to slump over. Choking someone out never took that long, and it was rare anyone could actually break free.
As the unconscious guard went to the ground, King went to his belt and took the keys off of it. He unlocked his cuffs and let them fall off his wrists to the floor before getting his knife, no one stayed down for long, so he had to make sure he didn't get up. He did that by simply cutting his throat, the blood sprayed and he practically flung himself back to avoid the spray that followed.
Two guards in one room, messy all-around but the job was going to get done either way. King once again pressed down on his earpiece and spoke, "Sorry, man.. fuckin' guard just cuffed me, got it handled." He explained, taking a pause before continuing. "Vaults by the back, usual spot."
"Are you alright?" Houston asked, beginning to wrap around the building to go through the same entrance King had gone in. "I'm fine." He assured, stepping out of the office and glancing out. "We'll have to tie down a few civs, maybe take out a few guards that come back... Let's hurry."
Thankfully, the rest of the job went a lot smoother. King stood by the cams and kept an eye out for anyone who had the chance to come close to the drill, which is what Houston stood by. Using the keys they'd gotten from an insider, they unlocked the gate inside the vault, got inside and bagged the cash.
Hauling it to the van was easy enough, they moved quickly to avoid catching the attention of nosy civilians and stuffed each duffel bag inside the van before going back for anything that was left inside. The deposit boxes were untouched, as they would simply take too long to bust open and weren't worth it in their eyes.
Jacket and Dragan came to the van once Houston had waved for them to come over, with King carrying the last bag of money to the van. He removed his mask prematurely, threw the bag inside and got in with the rest of them. It was a little cramped with their haul, but the lack of heavy armor and firepower they would otherwise carry gave them a little more free room.
Bain's praises came over their comms soon after they drove off, leaving the scene of the crime far behind them. Kings ability to think quickly had shined through and saved his, and possibly Houston's ass. An easy payday for sure, even if there were a few bodies left behind, they weren't noticed until much later on.
While they definitely weren't going to bring him on jobs where their only option was to sneak around, not yet at least, King had shown that he was able to handle himself during it all. It would be a progressive climb, but it was better than sitting at the bottom of the ladder, right?

Eurovision 2006 - Number 25 - Krug - "Putujem sama"
youtube
HD Upscaled Evropesma-Europjesma 2006! Fans are getting serious!
This is Krug - essentially a three-piece band with added musicians when needed. The core three personnel are singer Dragana Perunicic and song-writing, guitar-playing brothers Dragan and Dražen Miljanović. They formed in Podgorica the previous year and prior to this had been touring the former Yugoslav counties. Getting not only into Montevizija but qualifying for Evropesma-Europjesma was a big step into the limelight for the band.
Putujem sama (I Travel Alone), written by Dražen, is filled with dramatic soaring (and sawing) synths that seem to have something urgent to tell us. The guitars come in here and there to interrupt both the singers and the synths. Structurally it's all over the place, like a news studio trying to deal with three different breaking news stories simultaneously. And I like it - you can't predict exactly where it's going next or how it's going to wrap up.
Dragana in red and her fellow singer (whose name I don't know) have voices that work well together to let us know that they walk alone. They're not in relationships as they seem to be repressive and possibly violent. There's certainly violence again their souls implied. The chorus is intriguing. It's a repeat of the lines,
Idem, putujem sama Tražim ljude bez mana Krijem ono što otkrijem
meaning,
I'm going, I'm travelling alone I'm looking for people without flaws I hide what I discover
which for a pop song trying to get to Eurovision is exceptionally twisty and philosophical. The whole piece feels like 1980s expressionist synth-pop from a serious band with serious hair. There's mystery and aloofness here in vast quantities. I'm sure that's why it appeals to me so much.
That it got through Montevizija at all is amazing - it came ninth receiving all twenty-two of the points it got from the jury and nothing at all from the televote. At the big and controversial final in Belgrade, it could only manage twenty-first of the twenty-four songs with a zero televote again and four points from one of the Montenegrin judges.
This was Krug's only national final appearance. They have very little else in the way of published music in traditional formats. No record deal. This is the point when I normally say the band split up and now one of them is a vocal coach.
Except they didn't they stayed together performing in the clubs and concerts of Montenegro and the Balkans. They did rename themselves slightly becoming the KRUG Music Team and seem mostly to have made a living in the background of the music industry writing and arranging songs for others. Seemingly without credit. Recently they have given interviews to left-wing outlets about the state of musicianship in Montenegro and more generally and how impoverished a career it is. They also claim that some of their songs have been banned from Montenegrin TV, possibly for political reasons.
They have however managed to make and finally release some of their own compositions on YouTube in the last four years. To Nisam Ja (It's Not Me) is below. For now KRUG Music Team remain resolutely outside the mainstream.

Ok so the reviews are in. First of all I do not think this male LI will be ANY worse then the ACTUAL worse Male LI. Who is Amrit if everyone must know.
Like Amrit set the bar pretty high in terms of worse scum alive. Amen is trying but except being a sadistic cop we don't have much reasons to hate his ass. Anyway back to topic.
Dragan IS an asshole. Like that's not an assumption at all. We litterally see the guy treating her with disrespect the second he comes into view.
He for some reason offered her a necklace. Despite the MC telling us loud and clear the guy never so much as LOOK into her direction before. Like Yes Alice's MC's tends to be insecure balls of insecurities and obliviousness but even Vicky could tell when someone was looking at her or ignoring her so I think our MC is fine.
Anyway yeah no. Saying he is the most hated is so funny when Amrit and Amen are doing sword fights over there. Like get a grip anon. In 2 episodes your guy did not win the hearts of every people. Happens.
Hope you get well Anon and even if he ends up just being misunderstood, it doesn't excuse the fact he acted like a scum to MC for years.
Confession:
"Yes I find dragan annoying, but we’ve only had two chapters, we don’t know their history, and no offense to the mc but she’s making some big assumptions about him. Tbh it all seems like miscommunication on both ends."
