Jade would likely have two weddings, one for the surface for you and your friends and surrogate family, and one in the sea for his family and their associates. The one in the sea is much, and I really must emphasize the much part, more formal. Jade and yours merforms are dressed in Coral Sea formal attire, which is mostly jewelry and accessories rather than clothes. The wedding is less for you two and more for the Leech family's associates. There are lots of presents and well-wishes given to the groom and his new spouse, all to curry favor with who may be two out of three (maybe four if Floyd also marries) the new heads of the Leech family in the next few years. It's not very fun, to be frank, and many people come up to you to introduce themselves and try to cozy up, but Jade is always close by to keep you close to him.

The wedding on the surface is much more fun and is planned entirely by you two, with the help of his parents and of course your own friends. It's still got a bit of formality to it, but Jade is surprisingly into the idea of a much more casual wedding on the beach. He is very firm in ensuring that mushrooms are included in just about every dish served possible. You have to call Clover Bakery (because who else would you trust) and beg Trey to not let Jade add any actual mushrooms to the wedding cake. Fondant ones are perfectly fine. It's quite lovely, everyone is having fun, you and Jade get to finally bask in each other's presence without some suckerfish coming up to bother you. And you get the added bonus of getting gifts from people like Malleus and Kalim who don't want to curry favor, they just want to give you nice gifts!

Living with Jade in your own shared home after the wedding and honeymoon is also lovely. I'm mildly torn between wanting Jade to be a househusband or having him come home with his spouse waiting for him! Jade would probably get bored being a househusband, and I can see him still working with Azul as an adult, perhaps as a restaurant manager for one of Azul's branches!

When it comes to the home, I like to think that he keeps it relatively peaceful. He's early to rise, and if you're not, then he's happy to get you a cup of tea ready as you continue sleeping. If you rise with him, then he likes having you do your morning routine with him, he thinks it's extra cute having you help him with his bedhead! Your fingers through his hair and the cute, focused pout as you try to help him curl the end of his darker strand is his favorite image in the morning.

This post is a bit too long now, but I do have more domestic thoughts and Dad Jade thoughts! I'll add more later or if I forgot send me another ask in like a week lol.

arakawa's interchangeability between calling sawashiro 'jo' and 'sawashiro' makes me loco cause i cant really discern when he decides to refer to him as one or the other. except i can.

when it comes to 'professional' matters (i.e. explaining the 'arakawa party' to ichi and explaining the coup against aoki) he refers to him as 'sawashiro'

alternatively, when speaking directly to him and personal matters (i.e. asking ichiban for the two of them to get along) he calls him 'jo' (this literally the same scene as the 'arakawa party' bye you might be able to argue this can be a professional matter too tbh ngl--)

so when arakawa calls sawashiro 'jo' while explaining The Murder to ichi on new years day bitch im going to eat dry wall

he always dresses in some kind of formal attire, pingponging back and forth from business casual and proper dressware, this drawing being more of business casual

he'd be less pale however he has been trapped in an underground bunker and subject to intense energy siphoning for the past Several Thousands Of Years, so he looks a bit more pale and fucked up than he was in the past (but i may draw a past version of him eventually)

Okay so just gonna say I’m only answering the 20s one for both, because 1.) We know how the Stay versions act at 40 lmao 2.) I avoid any future self answers for Regimen versions :pp

Stay:

In their 20s, Tom and Tord are very VERY on again off again when it comes to their relationship. They bicker a lot more *because* they’re closer to each other, though they’re always vaguely still sweet(?) to each other even if they’re irritated at each other.

Imagine they got into a huge squabble over something petty, and they both just seethe in silence because they couldn’t come to a compromise. Except they’re seething in silence *together*, on the couch, Tord is lying down on Tom’s lap, angrily scrolling on his phone, and Tom is just day drinking and NOT looking at him, scowling.

Edd is always frustrated because he never knows if they’re still dating or not and watching them do this drives him INSANE.

Regimen:

They fight a lot, most because Tord likes to rile Tom up to the point where he explodes at him. Usually he does this when he’s bored, or the wifi is down, and its always entertaining to push Tom’s buttons.

Tom doesn’t think its funny, its fucking irritating, because he’s minding his own goddamned business when Tord just decides its time to fuck with him for some reason. Whats worse is that he acts like Tom’s overreacting when he’s had enough, like HE wasn’t the one who started it?? Arsehole…..

Though, at least SOMETIMES he has the decency to back off when Tom isn’t in the mood for his shit. Sometimes, well, he’s even decent about it and apologizes.

God….Tom wishes he could be decent most of the time. At least, during their quieter moments, Tord was actually, ugh, a good listener….

Fuck, he needs a drink. Asap.

Fun fact: The average length of a single scene in Within Your Tender Care is about 316 words. (yes, I did the math) Chapter 2 Scene 6 (which is FINALLY DONE) is 1,461 words ALONE. For context, the ENTIRETY of chapter 1 is 2,372 words.

Now, just 2 easy scenes (one of which is over half written) left and final edits and Plates & Problems is as good as gold!
