how do ppl not always feel paranoid while playing evirma ?? like I've seen so many streams and clips where people are just sitting around and idly chatting and enjoying the scenery like how do you do that ??? how do you look at the forest and think 'wow, those graphics are really pretty!' rather than 'that forest is full of bushes potential enemies could be hiding in, I must be wary'

in legacy I was still pretty paranoid but it wasn't as bad, like I could stop and take a rest in a field or on a rock once in awhile and just chill. and most of the time it was pretty and I could enjoy the scenery without the constant looming in the back of my mind whispering 'you are vulnerable. you are weak and exposed. what if there's an allo hiding in the woods behind you, waiting to attack?'

but in evirma ?? honestly I can't convince my mind to rest and chill for 5 seconds unless I'm underwater or in the air.

am I a fully grown utahraptor in an empty field? I heard more utahs like an hour ago, they could be cannibals. they could be nearby. THEY COULD BE LOOKING FOR ME RIGHT NOW. THEY COULD BE LOOKING AT ME RIGHT NOW

am I a young carno in a peaceful jungle at night? the night vision can only go so far and my footsteps seem so loud. I could be in immediate danger and I wouldn't know until I was dead. the world is full of dangers and I must always remain alert

am I a stego in a herd with like five others? they could be the herbivore equivalent of cannibals. they could turn on me. there could be a mix packing carni group coming towards us and we would have no clue

I think the paranoia was beat into me so badly by legacy AND evirma that the same paranoia is what I default to when I'm starting a new survival game. I immediately assume everything is out to get me, big or small

Personally, and this is kind of a bias thing, I've been dreading the dilos release on Evirma for quite some time now, mainly because of many, many bad experiences I've had on legacy (mix-packers, hackers, and generally just people being menaces/dicks), and while I stopped playing Evirma a while ago (COUGH COUGH MY PC IS TRASH AND THE OPTIMIZATION IS STILL PRETTY BAD) I can't say I'm not glad to have more dinosaurs to balance out the playing field

And on top of that, they also just look really cool when drawn right, such as this wonderful art piece <33

new game to start the year off that has me in an iron grip is Path Of Titans (funny dinosaur game).

I friggin’ love dinosaurs so much. I used to play The Isle (Legacy) but The Isle (Evirma) had been super disappointing, so I switched to Path of Titans and I am having so much FUN hehe >:]

Like any survival based game at times it can be toxic, but other times I meet really cool people and have a blast for a couple of hours :D

It’s addictive due to the survival aspect and the combat. I gave up on it once it turned into Evirma and fled to Path of titans instead.

The Isle is a bad game and no one should ever play it (guy with 500+ hours in the game)

Why did you chose this: “ Reason is because from playing this game were you live/survive as a Hypsilophdon ( Hyp - silo - phdon ) or any other creatures but mainly the Hypsilophdon”.

“From looking at the style of it and how it behaves has given me the idea of creating this monster project idea in the first place”.

What expectations do you want to get from this: “ Mainly just to make a monster of my choosing so it can be more life like but also unique in it’s own way”.

part of me wants to play The Isle Evirma again, but

the tedious process of growing a deino/carno/ stego/any other large creature for hours, to then just get jumped by a mix-packing group of like 20 tenos and 5 fully grown carnos is not the best way to spend time, nor is it the best feeling

the dark nighttime where you can't tell where any sound is coming from, paired with the less than amazing night vision is an absolutely terrifying experience I kinda don't wanna return to @_@

my laptop literally can't open it up anymore. a combination of the poor optimization and it just not working with my version I think ??? I looked into it at one point bc I was confused when I tried to open it up and it just. didn't. can't remember anymore, though that doesn't stop the longing to start playing a fresh deino like I had when I first started Evirma

honestly in the same boat rn, none of my friends have enough 'oomph' to their pcs to play the game. thought about going on steam or the official discord to ask if there's any (LGBTQ+) friendly people that just wanna be like isle buddies with but I decided against it (aha, for uh, good reason) (steam game communities, my abhorred). I play evirma and on the na official servers. any dinosaur works for me, too! (not a fan of 'apexes' tho ex. carnos and stegos, but will play em) PM if interested (so we don't, like, expose our steam names or anything, lol)

once again lookin for people to play with on the isle; any dino works but i do have a preference for carnivores

the quality is absolutely HORRID bc I had to take the picture on my phone, but by 'my laptop literally can't open it up anymore', this is what I meant 😭

whenever I try and load up the game, the anticheat thing loads for a lil bit before the entire thing shuts off and this message appears ^

i looked it up a bunch when it first started popping up, but I don't think I ever found any solutions that actually worked. if literally anyone has any idea what is up with this please tell me, I've been really wanting to play recently bc the new updates look absolutely scrumptious

Omg hi everyone! I haven’t spoke to anyone from hellfire since before summer. It’s chimera and I just wanted to say while pre 2022 was fun I’m hellfire the direction it started to go to wasn’t it. There was favoritism from what I saw. A lot of people were weird asf in the server. I bitched out one person who shall not be named but uses the word utha instead of Utah.

Anywho, I started to see how manipulative the server was. And if you weren’t staff you weren’t worth anyone’s time. I started to see double standards and didn’t like what it was promoting. Silly was a drunk, some staff were never to be seen. And those who did work hard never got the credit they deserved.

Cannot wait to see the survivors in a better and cleaner server (Antigua) is really great!!! Come say hi over in evirma it’s a lot of fun. And feel free to dm on discord I was IP banned from hellfire when I bitched out on an alt account. Happy new year everybody!!

I do highly recommend Isla Antigua it has the same feel as Hellfire without all the over-produced feel of HF rules

Played around on EU servers for the isle Evirma. Carnotaur is so hated I didn’t even get out of tiny juvy stage XD
