The Scrapped Rayman Comic Pitch: Rayman Rewired!!

Hiiiii! Sorry for not posting on here for like. almost 2 months whoooops! Anyways, i am back hopefully consistently!!

So, this is about the Rayman comic series that was pitched to Ubisoft by Dave Cook & Steve Gregson sometime either during or before 2020, we don't have an exact date unforch. It was titled "Rayman Rewired" and was about Rayman travelling to other Ubisoft games.

The plot synopsis followed Rayman getting upset that he didn't get a game announced at E3 (you can tell this pitch is from a while ago), so he sneaks into Ubisoft's servers and switches up their queue to make him priority, but ends up messing up and unplugs it, causing a big portal to open and sucking him in while also putting the different game worlds at stake of being deleted.

And yeah you get the gist, Rayman teams up with different heroes in different games to undo all this, with this resulting in Rayman appearing in all these games to players, boosting his popularity and causing Ubisoft to make a new Rayman game at the end. Shame it's a work of fiction.

Yeah u could say that multiversus story or "story which is actually about how rayman is neglected by ubisoft" is kinda generic but idk i think this would've been fun if done right! Also y'know just being a rayman comic series in general like how has that not happened yet. Plok got one!!!

The idea warms are hitting extremely hard today, so outside of my usual DPxDC I give you, Spider-Man in Gotham...Not MCU Peter edition!

Give me a Peter Parker that is 18 going on onto 19, he has been Spider-Man for like, 5 almost 6 years, getting his bite very early, and dealing with all the things that happen to him younger.

And give me a Year One Batman. Who is still trying to figure out what the hell he is doing, and toting along a 9 year old Robin

Peter, falling out of a portal, and doing his standard check of surroundings, spotting Batman staring at him in clunky armor and a brightly colored child: Waves slowly

Bruce, who heard some freaky shit was happening with a cult near by and went to investigate: blinking at the blue and red being that got summoned

Dickie, who is trying (and failing) to do the Bat glare: still waves back.

And like, just the idea of this 19 year old Spider-Man taking a much older vigilante under his wing, teaching him the ins and outs of it all.

Like..

Bruce, Storming through a bag guys base gets suddenly pulled back by a web to his cape.

Peter, giving him a "bitch you dumb" look under his mask: Traps! LOOK FOR TRAPS?? AND LOOK UP? PEOPLE HID THINGS UP?

Bonus, Spider-Man bending himself into a human pretzels and Dick "I have no bones" Grayson is gleefully testing to see if he could do it too.

Jump cut, years later, Peter beats emotional intelligence into Bruce with Dick.

All the Bat kids grow up with Uncle Peter, (either Peter can't get back or has been told specifically that he can't by a higher being or something) and like...

Peter is the only one that catches Tiny Tim following them during patrol, he shows him all the places to get the best angles, even poses a few times for him.

Either is there when Jason dies and saves him, or is there mourning with Bruce

(Gotham lives in fear of the memory, Batman at his most brutal and Black Suit Spider-Man)

Teaches Jason how to control his pit rage after he comes back, what is Spider-Man if not control?

Stephanie is his bestie in puns and white girl music tastes.

Tim finds a partner in constantly staying up far to late as well as someone who likes to invent,( because I hc that Peter has pretty much worked with every scientist in New York, cus like since this is a blend of canons, he has worked with the Lizard, Doc Oct, Reed Richards, the only one he said no to an internship was Stark)

Duke gets a meta mentor that can help him with his powers, Spidey has been on more than one team with someone that had some form of light powers.

Plus I think Spider-man is Gothams daytime hero before Signal joins him, they are the daytime duo

Cass is his favorite (don't tell anyone because they already know) she can see him and he can see her in a spider sense, they do the point meme whenever they sense each other.

Little stabby Damian finds out that this person with his father has been trained by many an assassin (Wade, Daredevil, Natasha, Shield in general)

And Wade...Deadpool pops up occasionally, even he doesn't understand why or how lBruce gets a strange feeling he should punch the Flash in the face the next time he sees him)

Bruce having to deal with Deadpool is terrible for him and I sadly love it.

(Also on the point of Black suit spidey in Gotham...ESPECIALLY after Jason is murdered? Oh Peter is killing the Joker, or his arm privileges forfeit. I feel like Peter would try not to kill him but wouldn't try too hard.)

Spider-man being a founding members of the Justice League, them having to deal with Peter crawling on the ceiling, and scuttering through air vents!

Peter making Parker Industries, pointing inventions from other heros/villains from his world, he isn't above pettiness, and that's how the DC world gets some of Reed Richard's old designs he gave to Peter "Because they are practically useless" they arnt they save millions of lives. Not to mention Arc Reactors, Peter grinned the whole time claiming it was his idea.

I'm almost finished playing PM: TTYD on switch and I was thinking, you know how in the game the Shadow Queen offers Mario to become her servant? I was thinking of what would make Mario say yes. And ofc, my brain automatically jumps to what I would argue is Mario's greatest weakness - Luigi.

When the Shadow Queen is awakened we can see shadow hands extending all over the places you visit - Rogueport, Petalburg, etc.

When she possesses Peach everything becomes dark and the ground trembles. Afterwards, during the battle one of the Shadow Queen's ability is to use shadow hands to drag Mario into the shadows and attack him. And ofc, we then see her attack the audience with those same shadow hands and basically drain/eat/kill them to restore her full health and power.

Following this, the Shadow Queen will ask again if you will serve her.

Mario's partners, ofc, refuse. However, what if this is the moment the Shadow Queen maliciously smiles and turns to look at Mario. His partners may have responded, but he most certainly hasn't. So, she asks him once more, if he won't serve her, otherwise, her cruel smile growing all the more crueler and knowing, his little brother will pay the price. Cue the Shadow Queen revealing that she has captured Luigi much to Mario's shock and horror.

Having possessed Princess Peach, the Shadow Queen has access to all of her memories and this, ofc, includes the loving and tight bond between the twin brothers. When the Shadow Queen regained her full power and health after attacking the audience she asked how she would 'punish' Mario and his allies for fighting against her. And what better punishment then to use the person Mario loves most.

In the game when the Crystal Stars fly off, the first location is Rougeport where Luigi is shown to be cheering for his big bro.

So, my thinking is what if when the Shadow Queen awakened, through her shadow abilities she is able to somehow see or sense where each and every resident is located and that includes our favorite green plumber. Thus, using her shadow hands she drags Luigi through the shadows to the Palace of Shadow where they all are.

Now, going back to the what if scenario. The Shadow Queen can use the same abilities she used to drain the audience on Luigi, the only thing Luigi able to say before being attacked, looking right at Mario is, 'I'm sorry.' And there is nothing Mario can do about it because at this point the Shadow Queen is impervious to all attacks. The situation had already been grim and dire, but now even more so. Mario's partners had already questioned what they were going to do. The situation is desperate and hopeless. The Shadow Queen knows this and she will use it to her advantage to manipulate and force Mario to bend to her will. So, she tortures Luigi in front of Mario stating she will release him and let him live if only he accepts to serve her.

All yells for Mario to not listen to her, that she's tricking him, fall on deaf ears as the only thing he can see, hear and focus on is Luigi's agonized cries as his life is slowly drained from him. Mario knows that if Luigi were able to speak, he too would also yell at him to keep fighting and forget about him, that he wasn't important compared to Princess Peach and everyone else. Yet, that isn't true, Mario thinks. Luigi is important. He's his precious little brother. He can't keep watching. He can't let his little brother die.

And so he steps forward and surrenders.

With PLEASURE. Here’s a basic rundown about Carrot.

This au marks the start of Rusty and Hydrogen’s friendship as they both realize “wowww he’s kinda cool”

-Hydrogen’s the newest addition to the freight yard and the youngest brother to the freights (him and rusty are around the same age) I’m going along with the head cannon that he’s a prototype engine of the future, and this is his debut.

-Up until Carrot (Part 1) their relationship was more of a casual business thing with Rusty hauling the freights around. I’d like to think Hydrogen would get bored of rolling around for miles so he’d start some icebreakers, and of course, the only thing he knows around this time is climate change. Much to the dismay of his colleagues who are contributing to the very thing he’s yapping about.

-While Rusty never hated Hydra they never really chatted outside of a few hello’s or “how’s your day going?”

-Rusty mostly hangs out with the other freights since they live together (I think of them as next door neighbors). Hydrogen prefers to watch on the sidelines since he knows the other freights don’t exactly like him.

-Hydrogen’s crush on Rusty is 100% one sided in this au (currently) What started off as simple admiration turned into something worse as they began to talk more. And Hydrogen realized they have more in common than he thought.

Of course Rusty is very much invested in Pearl (maybe to an almost unhealthy degree) and Hydrogen knows this. Still, he can’t help but wonder what it would be like to be in her shoes. 😞

-As for Pearl in this au, she doesn’t hate Rusty, quite the opposite in fact. But she’s dependent on what other people think of her as the new coach. She wants to be liked by everyone around her and she’ll do whatever it takes to achieve that. Despite promising her fellow coaches (and Rusty) that she’ll stay true to herself, she finds herself stretching out bits and pieces of her personality to be more likeable to Electra and Greaseball. Her main goal has always been to win the race..but ever since she paired up with Electra it seems that’s become a distant memory.

-Also Rusty’s love language (this applies to anyone) is physical touch, handholding to be exact. I thought it’d be funny to have Hydrogen kind of avoid that since he doesn’t know how to deal with physical affection (platonic or romantic) and also because secretly he knows Rusty will never be his..

I think I’ve rambled enough now but if people do end up having questions (or even suggestions) please do tell me :3
