seeing ur akako and shinichi au makes me so happy, cuz I so much WISH they interacted more (knowing that it'll never happen, the same way I wish kaito and ai interacted more lol) thinking about akako reminded me how she can never cry or she'll lose her magic as a witch, I honestly wished that was explored more orz
I have so many feelings about Akako, like, the whole "Magic and demons are real" thing... like, that's... that's a big thing? I know Kaito manga have similar vibes to Ranma 1/2 and similar stuff, comedy with some action, if is funny is added, no biggie, but now that Kaito and Conan stories are super intertwined I feel like I can't ignore Akako.
Tumblr media
She exists, She can predict stuff, and she has *MAGICAL POWERS* that could kill if she wanted, but prefers to be loved (Even if it is an artificial love) She aggressively likes Kaito, and acts all evil but in the end, she helps him, She doesn't like Aoko but plays silly pranks on her (Well, at least in one chapter where she teaches Aoko a silly spell) and that needs to feel loved by everyone, I find that super sad, like, she needs to use a spell because she doesn't believe anyone can love as she is, or maybe it is just a silly gag and I'm reading too much
Idk, most stories and fanfics use her to move the story to a more fantastic setting (I like that too!) but I find her as a person to be interesting, like a Character in the wrong story, misplaced but wanting to fit anyway, even if is via force. Like someone who wants to be super cool but in reality, is not
Tumblr media
I wanted to make a cool doodle but I guess I'm a bit ded, hahaha
I'm sorry Akako, I decided to give you ShinichiPhobia because it is funny.
But I promise Shinichi is a cutie

5. Marriage Verse
(Re:part two of my list of fic ideas I’ll never get to)
It’s been done before, but never by me so here we go.
You guessed it, post black org and antidote, my queen gains a lot of haters. So to protect her, what better way then getting with the savior of Japan?
• basically to help prove Shiho isn’t evil and was a victim in all of this, the Kudos vouch for her. To the extreme. My ship is getting married y’all!
• now did they really have to go this far? Probably not, but why do they do it? Well because Yukiko is extra as fuck and also, Shinichi is in love with Shiho so this is a win win for him
• he keeps claiming it’s for the greater good and he’s doing this cause he wants to protect her. Which kinda true, but the real reason is because this is how he keeps her forever
• typical of my queen wanting to leave and move on, cause she thinks of the canon ship (who are very broken up in this verse though feelings linger…) and of course Shinichi has abandonment issues so he’s not for her leaving
• besides she’s still low key treated like a criminal so it’s not she can leave anyhow. So operation help Shiho gain a good reputation is a go! So off to the chapel my ship goes!
• similar to how my green card au went, he’s obviously already in it while my queen is in denial. She thinks once this blows over they’ll get divorced and he can be with his ex. Which is not at all where he thinks this is going
• I know it seems like I hate marriage cause of my fics, but I’m of the belief that it should be forever. (That being said I know it doesn’t always work that way, hence why I never really write about it in my fics and why Shiho is a cynic when it comes to marriage) which is how he sees it, so he isn’t just being rash when he suggests getting married
— side note, I do actually have a divergence of this verse in which Shinichi’s plan of them getting married doesn’t happen cause he was in a coma, so instead to save Shiho’s reputation the Kudos adopt her. Which makes things very messy cause now Shinichi can’t just get what he wants and make her his wife. This version is kinda messed up though cause I envision Shiho moving on and loving the fact that the Kudos have been so kind to her and accept her as their own, meanwhile Shinichi is not taking it well. I’m sure no one will know what I’m talking about but there was a Taiwanese drama I watched called Devil Beside You a long time ago and that’s the vibe of this fic. Basically they’re siblings but not biologically and they still end up together. Except Shinichi is way diabolical in this verse cause he’s completely lost it. Also Shigo is a thing and again Shinichi is insane. It’s low key heartbreaking for Shiho and such a toxic relationship, but some days I can’t stop thinking about it
• basically I just wanted an excuse to write a short fic where they can be all cutesy and he can properly woo her. I feel like I had more of this verse planned but the alternate version completely took over and I’ve lost the plot. But I know a lot of it was him being like the That’s my wife! guy. So over how he’s the one everyone is obsessed with, give me a Shinichi who knows how lucky he is to be married to my queen
• there’s definitely drama with the canon ship cause listen, if my boyfriend of like idk a month who I’ve always thought was mutually into me since we were kids all of a sudden breaks up with me over the phone then goes radio silent then shows up with a whole ass fiancée a year later? Best believe someone’s going to catch these hands cause what!??
• also this is probably unpopular but I love how much Sonoko stans Ran and is on her side, these besties are definitely scheming to break shinshi up. At first they’re like it’s not real, he’s not really gonna marry her. But then they do get married and they’re like what!?! So then it’s operation show him what he’s missing and remind him how great Ran is which leads to a shinshi divorce and all is right in the world! (Though Ran low key has mix feelings about this cause if he really did love her why would this even happen? She still trusts him and he always tells her he can explain but this time he doesn’t so she’s doesn’t know what to think)
• meanwhile Shiho sees through their ploy but also doesn’t think the marriage is real so she’s just like okay yeah, go for it, steal my man cause he’s not actually my man. Which is just for my benefit cause I have a thing for him trying extra hard to prove they’re real
• also since this is my verse, they do consummate the marriage on their wedding night. I know it’s a thing that every drama does where they don’t until they’re like actually in love and on the same page, but I actually kinda hate that (even though I low key did that in the green card verse too…) (which is weird cause I’m ace but I’m also just like get it over with already! Plus I think it makes the dynamic more interesting cause people are weird after the relationship becomes sexual too, but maybe it’s just cause I’m a Vegas gal) plus you’ll notice a theme in my belief that Shinichi thinks sex=love while Shiho thinks it’s just fucking
• also would love a recurring thing where Shinichi loudly proclaims to just about anyone that Shiho is his wife, so hands off! Like that’s his woman and he’s gonna protect her damn it!
• idk if they’ll have kids, but it will be discussed (again my bias in thinking he absolutely wants to knock her up cause he low key has a breeding kink) of course Shiho is overruled in this, cause what better way to prove they’re real then by having kids! A win for the Kudos! But Shiho is like um no! That’s way too much! Having kids complicates things! I’m doing this to have freedom, how is having a child going to set me free? That’s another shackle! Besides, even if she leaves her kid behind which she would never, it’ll be harder for Shinichi in the long run as a single father to remarry. Again queen is still waiting for the rouse to be over
• obviously it ends with them living happily ever after cause it’s my fic, and again like the green card au I hate the whole they get divorced then get married again for real thing, it’s such a waste of time imo and so much paperwork. Like I get why it’s a thing, but I still think it’s dumb. So they stay married the whole time and that’s that
• this is the verse that I’ve been dreaming of lately and keep adding details in my head. Like the beginnings of it, when Shinichi is trying to justify a kiss and taking her out on dates and she’s conflicted.

Ok, there's this AU I had for Gin ages ago that kinda went "he used to be a wannabe detective himself when he was a kid, but something went wrong and/or someone held something against him and he careened off the slippery slope" and another where he had his own reasons for joining which were to get as close to the Boss as possible, for personal reasons, but that didn't mean he liked the guy.
Given something I've seen recently (which is that the Boss is meant to be a foil for Shinichi, specifically that he works from the shadows and manipulates people for bad reasons where Shinichi works from the shadows as Conan but would prefer to be himself, and manipulates situations but for good reasons/to save people...
I don't think it's too far-fetched to think of Gin being either someone who has his own goal, and who's just the kind of person who'll do anything for it but in a way that'd make him a loose cannon, unlike the double agents we see, or... that if the Boss said or did something, it's just as likely Gin would turn on him as his enemies.
Because where Shinichi makes friends, the Boss - from what I've seen - makes what I'd call "allies of convenience."
Thing is, no one can really and truly know you and trust you and care for you if you keep yourself separated and at arm's length - that's why it's such a common trope that the "evil organisations" tend to self-destruct from the inside, and why I'm not sure it is unrealistic for the Black Organisation to be so full of moles, traitors, and people with a penchant for "heel-revolving-door" so to speak, who don't know what side they're on (because the Boss said to kill that person, but they like that person, and don't want to).
(For all I know, more could have been said about these characters that's relevant to the point, and that I'll catch up on as I go, but I remember that back when, we knew hardly anything about Gin's past, or his motivation beyond serving the Boss.)

"I can't say I'm surprised. After all, who'd suspect that the great Detective of the East was a murderer himself?"
- Kudo Shinichi, from Innocent Murderer (written by Distorted Domain)
-------
I am back once again with the Evil Shinichi/Conan AU shit, thanks to this post and the Detective Conan fanfic I mentioned above.
As you can see, based on his clothes, you could assume it was Makoto Okuda, it's because I was inspired on the episode "Kudo Shinichi, Murderer". Just imagine if that was really Kudo Shinichi who kills people on hindsight and make them look like a suicide, while solving cases as the famous Detective of the East.
I mean... psychopath!Shinichi is an interesting concept, since psychopaths can also be very charming (even if only superficially) and they have the ability to confidently take risks, be ruthless, goal-oriented and make bold decisions. They also react far less intensely in such fear-evoking situations. If anything, they remain calm.
Shinichi already has the intelligence, is reckless and has the charm to manipulate other people, since he can fool everyone as Conan with his cutesy voice and his jab on the target's weaknesses (he had manipulated Kogoro to let him come to crime scenes many times because of Kogoro's tendency to boast). In fact, he was always calm and collected in crime scenes, and sometimes show no emotion over the matter (although he sometimes feel bad about the people involved in the case, but he has to feel calm to solve them).
But in this dark Detective Conan AU, what if he had developed the urge to murder people when he was a little child, back when Yusaku first brought him to crime scenes?
--------
I got another idea for this concept all thanks to:
This post about Shinichi and how he was depicted as comedic evil and ladykiller by some even though he's technically a Holmes nerd: https://alitheakorogane.tumblr.com/post/674363351938285568/detectivegeekshin-yesyunniechan-serinoxtv-i

I apologize for the terrible blood splatter in the fanart, I sucked on drawing bloody and gory ones. My imagination was sprouting ideas, but my art skills says no.😂🤣

in this life i pray we are happier
Here is my @shinranweek entry for Day 2 (Role Swap AU)
Summary: It all started when Ran (the brilliant detective she is) informed Shinichi about how Spider (the illusionist or whatever that guy pretended to be) was going to be at the Kaitou KID heist. He hadn't thought much of it, until much later, when the shadows around him were screaming and crying out and the pain in his chest had left him gasping-
Shit.
Ran.
Or: this is a snippet of an AU I am working on, where I swap everyone's roles with each other (feat. detective!Ran and witch!Shinichi)
Rating: Teen and up (for swearing)
Word Count: 2,098
“-chi! Shinichi! Are you listening to me?” Ran demands, waving her phone around.
He grimaces, unsure on whether he should tell her that he had been tracking that cat into the other world. Again. Against her wishes.
The shadows fizzle out from his fingertips.
“Um, you were talking about the new café?” Something smacks into the back of his head. He lets out a yelp and whirls around to see the plastic figurine of Rilakkuma cluttering to the floor, and his eyes whip angrily back at the plant on the bookshelf. “You little piece of shit-”
“Shinichi, don’t curse the baby,” Ran chides, cooing at the (evil) plant, “She was only getting upset on my behalf.”
He rolls his eyes, one hand still massaging the bump on his head, “You’re on thin ice.” He has no idea what he has done to deserve such treatment from the plants in his house.
One would think that as the Head of Household, he would have obtained the Respect and Cooperation from them. But no. He has to continuously come up with a new PowerPoint presentation for the plants to outline his very good reasons he should graciously be given a single stem or leaf to use in his works (and okay, his potion-making skills could be iffy at times, but that shouldn’t deter his plants. They should be supportive of his endeavors.)
And while the plants may barely tolerate him, they are all in love with his girlfriend (he understands – he too would be smitten over Mouri Ran if he were a plant). He once had to watch in shock, betrayal knocking the breath from his lungs, as all the plants preened under her careful touch, all eager to show off their brilliant leaves and petals to her. Those fuckers even let her prune them, giggling and chattering to her as she gently trimmed the dry stems and checking their hydration levels.
(He tried to respectfully approach them with a watering can, and it was only thanks to his years of mastering his control over the shadows that was he able to instinctively catch the can that came hurtling to his face. Ran had laughed for a solid twenty minutes, much to his dismay)
“I talked about the café twenty minutes ago.” Motioning him over to the table, she hands him her phone, “There’s been a new heist notice by the Phantom Thief. Apparently, they’re going after the Bronze Statue.”
Shinichi hums, eyes raking over the image of the statue, “Ambitious. Seems pretty large to steal, if you ask me. But I’m not a detective, so maybe I’m missing something.”
Ran taps on the screen, zooming closer on the face. “Not the statue, but I have a feeling it will be the amethyst in the eye that the thief will be targeting.” She wanders back into the kitchen and resumes slicing the carrots she had abandoned. Over the noise of the knife hitting the chopping board, she asks, “Do you know anything about the gem?”
“Healing properties. It can be really powerful if used correctly and the protective elements is amazing if it listens to you.” He continues to inspect the image on the phone. Just by looking at it, he can tell that the stone had not been cared for properly – sure, it sparkled and gleamed under the florescent lighting in the photo, but that was the extent of it. No one really cared to bathe the stone in the moonlight, or to warm it beneath sun on the Summer Solstice.
(To be fair, not enough people actually possessed the magic to care for them properly, as Ran liked to point out every time he complained about this. He has to force himself to not sulk at her counter.)
“That doesn’t exactly help me to prevent the gem from being stolen.”
He pouts, placing the phone onto the table, and stands, making his way to the kitchen. “Do you have to go to this thing? There are going to be people-”
“-which is the case when you leave the house-”
“-and it’s late-”
“-it’s eight in the evening-”
“-and I have bad vibes-”
“-I thought we agreed that was called anxiety?”
He rolls his eyes and wraps his arms around from behind her, hooking his chin on her shoulder. “And you’ve been in London for the past three weeks and I’ve missed you?”
Sharing Ran across two different countries is a terrible experience, he has conceded. If it were up to him, he would get down on both knees and beg her to stay with him, to forget about her police father in Tokyo (do-able), to forget about her lawyer mother in London (less do-able).
Okay fine, he may be a little terrified of Kisaki Eri and would never force Ran to choose between himself and her family, but he is still allowed to complain about it.
Relaxing into his hold, she moves along to slicing up a zucchini, “It will be for one night, and then we can spend as much time as you want cuddling. I finally have a lead on this vile man, and I have to try and get as much information as I can. He can’t be allowed to remain free.”
“The... illusionist, was it?”
She sends him a sweet smile over her shoulder (and he tries not to let that incapacitate him completely), “Oh so you were listening to me?”
“I am always listening,” he grins, tightening his arms around her. “Ugh, cases. You could have had an interest in, I don’t know, witchcraft, and I would have been very happy to help with that.”
“Are you saying you wouldn’t help me?”
He chuckles, placing a soft kiss on her shoulder, “You know I would do anything for you.”
“Good.” Ran nods at the cupboard, “Can you get the soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil please? You can help with dinner.”
“Of course, love.” The shadows latch onto her, even as he pulls away. The traitors. “Tell me more about the butterfly effect you found out?”
The brilliant smile he receives from her nullifies the headache he gets by the end of her excited rambles.
(“No really! They found a way that disproves the butterfly effect in the quantum system. Like, the reality within the quantum realm is self-healing, no matter what information gets fed through,” she says animatedly. “They did a whole trial simulating with time travel and everything-”)
>>><<<
He flitters between his references – three different textbooks, ten tabs opened on his laptop, and that one loose leaf sheet of paper Ran had drawn on to explain the concept – trying to follow an impressive rabbit hole he accidentally dug himself into after listening to Ran gush about her latest interest, the knot theory: a study of closed curves in three-dimensional space. It had inspired something in him, the way her voice had made a light bulb go off (or several, smaller flickering light bulbs, all at varying stages of Safe and Legal) and he had to try and put the thoughts from his brain into the physical world, before it left him.
He is in the middle of trying to convince the stove to let him use it (“I know Ran isn’t here to supervise, but I promise it’ll be fine- Okay I know I said that last time but listen, it’ll be different-”) when all of the plants in the vicinity simultaneously shudder and the cold grips at his heart.
Fuck.
He scrambles away from the kitchen, experiment long forgotten, and he all but flies out through the door.
Shit, shit shitshitshit-
Ran.
The shadows call for him, screeching in agony, wrapping around his feet, his arms, his fingers, begging-
He lets himself be pulled.
One moment he is in his house, and the next-
He finds himself stumbling out from the crack in the wall (was it always there? He doesn’t know- the world splinters) and the wind whips at his face, the cold biting and unforgiving.
Shinichi shakes his head, trying to clear the nausea, the ringing in his ear relentless as he orients himself. Something is wrong, something is horribly wrong.
He is outside, on top of a building, the night sky stretching far as the eye could see, fog billowing from the center of the commotion – and then he sees it.
The red eyes, glowing in the dark.
He had seen those, in his dreams. The Goddess had tried to warn him, he knows this- but he didn’t know. He didn't know- He couldn’t figure it out.
(And now he is paying the price)
Ran, oh goddess above it is Ran, floating in the air-
He shoots his arm forward and lets out a cry-
-and the shadows react.
All at once, the surrounding lights shatter; glass cracking, bulbs exploding, and the entire rooftop plunges into darkness. His eyes focus on the prone figure, hair billowing around her like the wings of a dark angel, and he reaches, searching for her-
He feels her heartbeat, erratic, frantic, desperate – but alive.
A flash of white, and his head snaps to the side. The flutter of a cloak, the glint of the gun, pointing at-
Oh.
Red eyes.
He fists his trembling hand, and the shadows crawl across the floor, faster and faster until it pools directly beneath Ran.
“Do not touch my detective, Spider,” the figure in white snarls, firing a card.
Shinichi barely catches how the card deflects the needle going straight for Ran. His breath hitches. He knows how something so small could be so dangerous.
Another card fires.
And both Ran and his heart drops.
A strangled scream, and the shadows leap into action, enveloping her in the darkness as she crumples. He feels her, all around him, connected through his element – feels when she breaks from the trance, the panicked yells spilling from her lips.
“I’ve got you, Ran, you’re safe-” Shinichi murmurs, pulling her into his arms.
She pants, eyes wide like a terrified creature, skin clammy, “You’re not real- you're not my-”
“I’m here, my love. I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you. I’m here- I'm here.”
Ran squeezes her eyes shut, hands gripping at him like her world depends on it. “You- You’re here? Oh Goddess- I thought-”
He holds her close, thanking the moon, the stars, his goddess, for giving him the chance to save her. “You’re safe now. It’s over.” He repeats the words again and again, like a mantra, a prayer.
His heart breaks at the hollowness in her voice. Every sob pulls at his soul, the clawing at his shirt, the tears, the fear- Everything washes over him like angry waves along the shoreline, and he holds her closer to him.
Shinichi hides them in the shadows, tendrils hissing and spitting at anything that dares to approach them, not caring whether the thief had gotten away - all he cares about is Ran. He holds her in his lap, breathing, touching her so softly, so tenderly. He whispers words in her ears and she sobs into his chest.
>>><<<
They lay in the safety of their shared bed, the charmed projection of the constellations twinkling along the ceiling and walls, bathing the entire room in a soft glow.
“He- Spider- he tried to kill the Thief,” Ran murmurs, curled up on her side, their favourite quilt covering both their bodies. She finds his hands, and she grips at them, drawing them close until he has her arms around her. If she wants to be held tonight, he is more than able to comply with her wishes.
“The red-eyes demon?” he asks.
She nods. “I couldn’t let that man kill the Thief- By the time I reached the rooftop, it was almost too late – Spider had already put Kaitou KID under his illusions.” She shifts closer, melding her body against his own. “I doused them in water, and Kaitou KID was able to escape the visions but-”
He tightens his hold. “Spider got to you.”
“It was only for a moment, but it was enough for me to be taken- It was horrible, Shinichi.”
“I got you, love.”
Ran takes a shuddering breath, her voice impossibly smaller, “Will you help me? To bring in Spider?”
He presses his lips to the crown of her head. “You know I will do anything for you.”
“Thank you.”
The shadows stew agitatedly, swirling around the room with the whisper of wrath.

12) dcmk Decative Conyan please!
so while i was in a silly mood one day i said "Detective Conan AU where everything is the same except Conan is a cat" which was supposed to be a joke except i then ended up crafting a legit explanation for how Shinichi turns into a cat instead of shrinking by combining it with Magic Kaito's Pandora legend
i'll just copy & paste my messy google doc notes for this AU under the cut after the snippet
Now for the tiny snippet:
WIP #12: Decative Conyan
Shinichi started to regain consciousness. He had to slowly open his eyes as his head still throbbed from the impact he received. Was he unconscious the whole night? It wasn't as dark as he remembered when he was knocked out, he could easily make out his surroundings. Wait no something was off, it wasn't bright as in more sunlight, it was like the world was put through a light coloured filter allowing him to see things more clearly in the dark than usual. The next thing he noticed was the way his clothes seemed to pool around his body. He shifted to further inspect why his clothes felt this way and found legs covered with black fur with cat paws on the end. Where did this cat come from? Then the cat legs shifted exactly when he tried to move his arms...that's strange...why— it happened again. No way. He must be dreaming or hallucinating from the drug that cold eyed man gave him. There is no way he could have turned into a cat. But no matter how much he twisted and turned and continued to stare at where his human body should be, all he could find was the body of a black cat that moved under his control.
[end snippet ; start google doc au notes]
So i like having fun with APTX ideas that use MK lore of Pandora
so the idea that Pandora is a substance that isn't quite a single gemstone—that's part of how the myth/tale was twisted—Pandora is actually something in certain people's blood and in consuming that blood, people can heal wounds and even extend their life
Once upon a time there were many people who had this blood but they were sought after by greedy/evil people and so they began to dwindle in numbers
Vampire legends come from the people that were trying to find these Pandora people & drinking their blood for extended life
However the people who had the blood of Pandora only had slightly longer than average lifespans and the greedy people didn't want their source of long life to die out so that they may continue drinking and become like immortals
So one solution they tried was making Pandora people drink each other's blood
But rather than healing them, they became cats—black cats to be specific
And they didn't become like normal cats, it appeared they still had their human memories and cognitive functions
Also these Pandora cats are the reason the "black cats are unlucky" and "cats have nine lives" rumours began
the people feared these unnatural cats who seemed able to quickly heal and live an unusually long life
And so that experiment was abandoned and years later APTX was being worked on to create a youth medicine but in the way it was made, it was discovered that the healing properties were being reversed to instead kill the body without a trace, thus it was decided to use it as a poison.
Now even with the Pandora people seeming to be extinct, there are still some out there. And their blood was passed on through some families. One of them being through Fujimine Yukiko's family.
When Shinichi is given the APTX, his Pandora blood reacts with it, causing him to turn into a cat.
As a cat—now named Conan as he indicated by messing with a Conan Doyle book when he was found in the Kudou library and adopted by Ran—of course no one can understand him so he has to figure out ways to point out the clues to solve the murders and sometimes other mysteries

Searching some ideas...
Like some of you maybe know, The Roulette of Destiny is at the point where I need only edit chapters, and since I'm unemployed right now, my days are pretty long and lonely. I have been thinking to write some more ShinRan fics, but I have to admit, I don't have many ideas here.
Well, I got an idea for a longer fic, which age limit would probably be closer to adults content. I have been thinking of some kind of mafia AU since I sometimes like the idea of evil!Shinichi. Actually, I have two ideas for that, one where Ran needs to learn to be bold and in the second she already is. But at this point, this hasn't been anything more than just thought, and I'm not sure if it's going to be anything else 😅
Part of me would like to write something about Black Knight & Princess AU, because like I have told earlier, I'm kind of weak for it. But the sad truth is that as much as I'm thinking of it, I particularly have no idea what I would write of it.
So I would like to take some ideas if you have something on your mind! Is there maybe some kind of ShinRan story you would like to read but there is none? Or is there some AU that needs more fics? Or something to do with canon? Feel free to tell me and give me some ideas! :) Short or long, I think I don't mind...
My conditions:
- No break-ups (sorry, but to me, ShinRan is meant to be, so I don't want to write their break-up)
- No too heavy angst (angst is okay if I can have a happy ending ;) )
- No smut (it's not like I wouldn't like to, I'm just not good to write it. I'm better with cute things x) )
But yeah, if you have some ideas you want to share and give me, feel free to do it! You can send me an ask, DM or you can leave a comment on this post.
Just in case if this gets out of hand: I can't promise I can write them all, at least not at once, and it probably took me some time to work on it/them, but I will do my best! :) And of course, I will tag you on that fic when it comes out! A different story is if you don't want to, just tell me and I don't do it 😄

aight this has been in my mind ever since i saw hexfloog’s evil conan au (please go lookit it it’s so good)
BUT SO detective conan/case closed au where Shinichi was 100% Gonna Die after being forced to take the APTX 4869 but happens to catch the attention of a young imp/demon (either or) who agrees to save him in exchange for his body/soul (again either or)
Shinichi agrees if only because he knows that the BO is a Big Threat and wants to take them down and if the price of that is to make a deal with the devil then so be it (sorry Ran)
the nameless demon takes control of Shinichi’s body forcibly making it shrink as a better disguise since he’s supposed to be dead and Shinichi names him “Conan” (i can’t just keep calling you “little demon” or “the demon”) it means a lot to him he’s never had a name before
they can freely talk between each other and at first it takes A Lot of coaxing on Shinichi’s end to get Conan to solve cases but eventually Conan starts doing it on his own and takes a liking to the humans that are now a part of his new life

AU where Shin and Ran both grew up in Black Org families
Ooooh~ this is a juicy one! (Btw sorry for taking so long answering, anon-san <3) I’m gonna assume that they are also part of the BO and are not kept unaware of the situation because I imagine that’s the objective of this ask, yeah?
And also, this is a dark one. They are HEAVILY ooc here because I took the “actually evil” route with this one. There are other more angsty possibilities where they don’t actually want to be there so they try to escape, but I was feeling the evil vibes today so... hehe 😈
Yusaku and Yukiko are both high ranks in the organization. Yusaku is a genius strategist and knows how people work. He usually isn’t the one doing the killing, and more like, plans stuff. Nevertheless, people do end up dying for time to time because you can’t just plan everything, my dude. Yukiko on the other hand, I think would be somewhat similar to Vermouth with the whole disguises thing. She’s more of a secret agent, looking and listening for intel and for juicy things that would be useful later, which I think would entail that, ideally, she wouldn’t have to kill much either if she does her job right. They fell in love, got married, had Shinichi. They love him, very much, but their lifestyle is something that they just can’t get rid of. He showed signs of being a genius and a potential powerful weapon since he was young for the organization, so he was trained as such.
Eri isn’t part of the organization as such, and more like- a lawyer that very much is working for them, so anything they need legal advice or help, she’ll be there. Kogoro on the other hand, is an agent of the BO. He’s famous for having incredible aim and he has done some of the dirty work. Again, they fell in love very young and had Ran, who was actually trained really hard in hand-to-hand combat and fighting. She’s strong and can think on her feet. She would also have some guidance from Vermouth and be somewhat decent at the disguise thing too.
Shinichi and Ran meet fairly young. Shinichi crushes on her first, like in canon. As they grow up they become... colleagues. They don’t want to call each other friends because given the world they live in... it would hurt if something were to happen to the other.
When they are of canon age they become official members of the organization and get their official nickname in reference to alcohol. (I can’t for the life of me think of decent ones now lmao send me your ideas for alcoholic beverages with a cool name or something ^^’).
They are GOOD at their job. I always remember just how lucky the world is that canon Shinichi is a good guy, because otherwise... that shit’s scary to consider. And they are also very much appreciated members. The boss and high ranks have complete faith that they will do their job no problems.
Shinichi and Ran end up working together more than once in certain operations. It’s always a success with them there. Shinichi is good at predicting different possible outcomes so he’s always prepared for anything. And even if he’s not, he’s good at improvising and will not hesitate to do whatever he has to. He’s definitely good with firearms.
Ran is better in confrontations and would probably take it upon herself to make sure their strategist (Shinichi) stays alive in case the situation turns dangerous. She’s good with weapons yeah, but no one is going to win against her in a fist fight. It’s scary. They have good banter and lowkey flirt non-stop. The rest of the team don’t wanna hear it.
The tension between them keeps growing more and more as they keep working on missions together and eventually Shinichi does slip up during an operation, during which he is hurt, badly. Ran is LIVID. How could he do this to her now of all times, when she just realized how much he matters to her? Seriously dude?
Shinichi tells her right then. “Who knows when it will be the last one? We could die any moment so let’s make the most of it.”

for @shinranweek day 6 – domesticity to the tune of marvel au at @mirrorfalls's behest, aka mindless fluff set sometime after the publication of this news article fic (also references this crack bit)
"I've been thinking," Ran begins as she rounds on the last hundred or so of the goo monsters in her assigned zone. "Maybe we should open that bakery after all."
It'd been a relatively harmless incident as far as their record went, especially now that Widow had gone on ahead and very percussively put the originating portal out of commission. Which meant they just had to whack the remaining bits of otherworldly goo until they went dormant enough for cleanup.
The glorp-thud of the shield going against less-than-solid material peppers the background of Shinichi's reply. "Yeah?"
"I was talking to Chiyoda-san from the Tower's lobby cafe the other day – the baker that usually supplies them is going on a holiday for two weeks, and anyway they want something fun to help lift spirits a bit! From all the not so great news lately, you know."
"So you want to use that as a trial run? Sounds good." Glorp-thud. Glorp-thud. Shinichi's amusement is audible. "How about those rainbow shield cookies you made last week?"
"That, and I was thinking something more special too." Ran's own grin is almost concerningly wide, though not of the unholy-glee variety that Kazuha would be having in this situation. "Maybe Cap and Soldier cookies? It'd be a nice way to show appreciation to everyone who supported us through the trial, too, and we can always have a special deal for buying both t–"
Shiho's voice bursts into the conversation right then. "Flirting? On my comms line? Apparently more likely than you think!"
"This is the general channel, Miyano," Shinichi points out, and Ran's pretty sure his expression has inched into outright evil now. "But of course, I'm sure Ran will reserve you a set of those cookies free of charge, as our most dignified host–"
That gets two responses in quick succession: a cut-off complaint about pre-marital flirting, AGASA, or so help me– and a disconnect sound whose resemblance to a disgruntled cat noise Ran will never point out.
"Looks like we're clear," Ran reports, running the comms check like Kazuha had shown her before. "Shiho-san kicked us to a private channel, I'm pretty sure she won't be checking in any time soon."
Glorp-thud, goes the shield as Shinichi snickers. "Toyama's gone to find a cake?"
"And some wine and snacks," Ran confirms. "She said she knows a couple places to try around here, from when she was Shiho-san's PA. And I saw a party shop on the way over, they probably won't have anything fancy but that can wait until we get back to the Tower anyway."
"Seriously, the chances of this taking us out of town on this exact day," Shinichi mutters, and Ran has to agree – they'd already planned out a surprise birthday party with Momiji and Sera, but there's no way they're getting back to the Tower by tonight. "Then I guess I'll have to find someplace willing to host a last-minute party for dinner. Probably gotta get rid of all this goo first, though."
Ran can't help laughing at the idea of a goo-bedraggled Shinichi knocking at doors; his reputation had been helped by Hidemi-san's article but not that much. "Probably. And I was being honest, I do think the bakery is a good idea! Especially if we get Ayumi-chan and the rest to help run the logistics, I know they've been wanting to make it up to Shiho-san for how much she helps Mitsuhiko-kun."
"And maybe if we keep them busy enough that'll stop Spiderman and friends from getting into trouble," comes the answering grumble.
Ran rolls her eyes and goes back to goo-squishing, instead of pointing out that Shinichi had been getting into so much more trouble at their age.
(Then again, that trouble had been a pretty big part of why they'd ever ended up here, so she supposed it had turned out fine after all.)

12. Case Closed
(Re my idea of fics I will never get to)
Okay so this was always meant to be my first multichaptered fic, but clearly the muse had other plans and I also haven’t really planned this one out fully. It’s literally just the title and a vague idea. Basically it’s an AU and somehow Shiho keeps ending up at every crime scene Shinichi is at, like it’s super ridiculous how it keeps happening. So let’s just try to plot it now:
• Shinichi is pretty established as a high school detective just as in canon, meanwhile Shiho is still stuck in the Black Organization (except since this is my verse they probably aren’t as scary cause I’m not intimidating at all, but they still suck)
• The first case she stumbles on made her suspicious to him, but her quickly rules her out and correctly deduces who the actual culprit is. Neither of them think much of it and move on with their lives
• but then it happens again. She somehow winds up at yet another crime scene and is again suspicious, which of course gets him interested. But once again she had nothing to do with it so he rules her out and the case is solved. And guess what since the number three is my bias, it happens again. Shocker right?
• at this point they’re both intrigued cause what are the odds that they both keep winding up in places and people start dying? (Oh! I just had an idea we’ll get to it!)
• because I really don’t write enough verses where Akemi is alive, she is here! But she’s gone missing, but she still sends messages to Shiho every now and then. But she knows something is wrong. She has no one to turn to except… she does keep bumping into a detective who seems to be competent
• of course to keep the streak they keep meeting at crime scenes where she tries to ask him for help but since they’re always in the middle of a case it’s kinda hard and she’s also not sure she can trust him 100% yet. He does sense she needs help but again she keeps certain information to herself which makes it difficult
• Akemi is silent for like a whole week? Maybe more and it freaks Shiho out so she has no choice but to reach out to Shinichi (by now they’re kinda friends. It’s complicated okay) and he immediately offers his assistance but again they keep getting roped into other cases
• circling back to where I said I had an idea. Okay major spoiler alert if I do end up going this route but… let’s say that Shiho was working to create a drug that’s supposed to help people but it goes wrong and becomes the aptx instead except instead of shrinking it just kills people. She of course discards the failed prototype knowing how dangerous it is, but someone finds out and starts using it as a hit man service of sorts (Loves it’s so easy to decide who would do this but let’s pretend we don’t know since the otp hasn’t figured it out yet)
• the next few cases revolve around this where the COD is really weird… like yes there are stab wounds/ gsw/ other things but something’s off like they shouldn’t have been fatal? But the prime suspects confess to the crimes and using the weapon so there’s nothing they can really do…
• Akemi finally messages Shiho but is very cryptic and tells her to be careful and not to worry. Of course this makes her super worried so Shinichi goes with her to try and find her sister
• Loves I am doing everything I can to ignore canon in this fic so of course Shuichi makes an appearance and is definitely with Akemi keeping her safe. But I also probably won’t focus on that cause clearly my otp still owns me *the deepest of sighs
• big reveal time, guess what the Black Organization is evil and there are moles including the FBI who are trying to bring it down! Which is great except… Shiho learns she’s kinda involved since she made the drug which of course sends her into a spiral. Like wow, so I’ve just been evil this whole time? Great.
• everyone of course tells her she’s not at fault and she eventually realizes she has to get her shit together if she wants to help end this. Listen as much as I love soft otp moments, I also really love everyone supporting my queen
• the final showdown! Which I’m totally gonna gloss over here cause it’s definitely the part I’m the worst at writing. Basically shit happens with some close calls but nothing terrible goes wrong (are we surprised? I’m creating this verse. And I’ve had my fill of angst with some other ideas so we’re not dealing with it here)
• cue cliché ending with a cliché last line of Case Closed cause I am a dork. But basically everyone is alive and fine and my otp gets together okay. Something along the lines of him asking her to stay with him forever to help with cases of course… which she gets annoyed at but well… it’s kinda hard to say no when she wants to say yes

Murderer Conan AU (Case Unsolved)
“I totally love seeing the horrified look in the detectives’ faces when they found out that their precious future Heisei Holmes was actually the Heisei Moriarty after all.”
———
I was listening to the song “Mind Brand” by MARETU when I thought of an AU idea where instead of Conan Edogawa/Shinichi Kudo being a detective, he became a genius serial killer, plotting every seemingly impossible murders under the guise of a young child. Imagine, an innocent-looking child happens to be the one responsible for the increasing murders in the city of Beika.
———
Shinichi Kudo was a young brilliant child who has the potential to be a detective. Unfortunately, there was an accident with his parents back when he was young, they were murdered in front of him, making him traumatized and resentful of the evil world who took his whole life and future on it. He vowed revenge, and when he killed his parents’ murderers, he realized he relished on the sight of blood painting the entire place red.
He became the serial killer who detectives all over Japan were looking for years. He has a cunning mind like Sherlock Holmes, and because of that no one can catch him. His death count keeps piling all over the years. He became famous as a serial killer, but no one knows his real identity, as he was too cunning, and can do meticulous and seemingly perfect plans. The APTX-4869 incident happens though, but it never happened in Tropical Land, it happened on one of his usual murder spree days, when the police and detectives under the direction of the brilliant Kogoro Mouri (his intelligence can rival that of canon Conan/Shinichi or even Yusaku Kudo) nearly caught him, making him no choice but to intake a mysterious poison a contact (maybe the Black Organization, which will be one of his clients) had given him, thinking he rather be killed by his own hands rather than caught by the police. Instead of killing him, he shrunk into a child.
He became Conan Edogawa, a pseudonym that is more like a sick joke for him, as he had based the pseudonym on the mystery authors who wrote famous detectives and mysteries. He hid himself to the world, trying to continue making chaos over Beika and puzzling detectives while disguising as a freeloader under Kogoro, using his childhood friend Ran as his ticket to knowing the detectives’ plans to defeat him. Considering the fact that Kogoro was very observant, he must be careful around the famous detective. Will he succeed or will the detectives find him before he kills another thousand?
———
Besides Mind Brand, I was also inspired on Koro-sensei’s backstory as the World’s Greatest Assassin (The First Reaper), and the old video trailer of the Murderer Conan AU in YouTube (I stumbled upon it after finding some story regarding the AU): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VJJdf9Rfuk.

Crack AU that after Shinichi is cured of APTX and the BO is taken down, he gets dosed with APTX AGAIN.
Not by the BO, but another random evil organization. Fortunately, he survives but gets turned back into Conan, and heads back to Ai who gives him another antidote, which works.
But then it happens again.
And again.
And again, each time by different criminal organization.
It gets to the point in which Agasa’s place gets an “Edogawa Protocol” for what to do when Shinichi once again has no sense of personal safety and turns back into Conan.

dcmk secret agents/coffee shop au :
aka basically ouran host club but they have guns and serve coffee instead
- Agasa runs a coffee shop that serves as a front for a super (not so) secret crime fighting agency
- the team consists of the scientist (shiho), the detectives (shinichi and heiji), the fighter (ran), the magician (kaito), the witch/healer (akako), the gunman (amuro), the sniper (akai) and the hacker (sera??)
- funded/sponsored by Suzuki empire heiress Sonoko Suzuki
- absolutely everyone is honestly overqualified to be serving coffee here which is sus af
- on the same note absolutely everyone is a terrible barista and the coffe shop serves arguably the worst coffee in town
- with the exception of maybe shiho because she can’t survive without coffee so something’s gotta give-- if u want something well done, do it yourself
- except she makes it for herself--- shiho babe there’s a line waiting
customer: excuse me ma’am is my order ready yet??? it’s been fifteen minutes?
shiho, sipping on the freshly brewed latte she made for herself: no
- shitty coffee aside, the business is doing fine plain and simply because everyone’s hot and their fan club is probably their clientele
- whoever’s not assigned on a mission has to stay behind to take care of the shop and BY GOD does everyone hate mopping floors and cleaning coffee mugs
- akako may or may not be slippin’ weird arse thing into the coffee samples for potion testing
- ran is an angel and probably the only reason why no one has the heart to sue the shit outta these fkers . customer service 10/10
- akai is probably the mom of the group, like he literally outmoms ran with his superior cooking skills and makes sure everyone comes back alive from missions.
- shinichi and heiji are the only ones who humor agasa’s inventions and gadgets. which is kinda sad but statistically speaking safer cuz u never know when one of these things is going to blow up
- kaito, as a trickster hiimself, likes to make his own traps n sheit. which he likes to test on his colleagues. which results in him getting his ass kicked. IF they can catch him. (which they usually can’t)
- amuro brings in 45% of the shop’s profit which is a lot considering everyone’s got their own fan club.
- sera honestly couldn’t care less about this whole fighting crime ordeal-- she just wants free (altho shitty) coffee, a place to crash in and the excuse to hack into the goverment security system. chaotic evil at her best.
- everyone is gay :’)
