it's been pointed out on here before that a lot of terf arguments are actually rooted in sexist idealology that feminists fought and died to unnormalise decades ago and that's its own kettle of fish but one thing i also find very frustrating about this so called 'radical' feminism is that it's so... defeatist? like the moment you categorically label an entire section of society as Bad and Inherently Evil then there's also the implication that nothing can be done about it, and it completely takes all accountability away. saying all men are evil is just another way of saying boys will be boys. he raped her because he's a man. he hit her because he's a man. he didn't listen because he's a man - it's almost offensively oversimplified. there's no point trying to fix this issue in society because men are just Like That, okay! so now what? it's not like they're going anywhere, so you just accept that 50% of the population are evil and will forever treat you terribly and there's nothing to be done about it bc they're biologically predisposed to it? like is that fr the argument here? you're soooo radical for that

to everyone who is scared of playing The Dark Urge or thinks it's just a 'murder hobo character'

don't worry, you're able to play 100% goodie-two shoes redemption Durge. It's not hard. For like 99% of time it's just you, the player, not choosing the dialogue options for succumbing to murder.

No, you won't kill Scratch or the Owlbear cub, they're perfectly safe.

There's only one unavoidable murder - there's two which are only 'unavoidable' if you approach the character (squirrel in emerald grove) and if you insist on trying to remember something (Steelclaw at Moonrise Towers).

You get Durge-specific cloak which is amazing bcs it allows you to become invisible upon killing an enemy.

Overall, Dark Urge allows your character to feel integrated into the world by having many, many unique dialogue lines from other characters (in all acts, for example: with Isobel, Oathbreaker knight, Helsik, the Chosen Ones).

Dark Urge also has Durge-specific scene for your romance options and for Astarion it has a Durge-specific break up line that can actually be just a romance scene.

Durge has adorable relationship with Jaheira and Minsc if you choose redemption path.

You learn a lot more about how the Cult of the Absolute came to be and it makes way more sense than in Tav version.

Overall, coming from someone who cannot be mean to characters in video games: I recommend The Dark Urge origin.

I rlly hate how every abuser has to be a "narcissist" now. It just feels like everytime the topic of abuse comes up people feel the need to blame the abusers behavior on mental illness and it's fucking annoying and I'm sick of it. Like blaming the abuse on a personality disorder fucking sucks and also hurts victims more than it helps them.

J is actually some what reasonable but instead of being mean to N she’s mean to V, but like instead of disappearing Uzi manages to make her be nicer and she apologizes to V. J actually tries to be better and yea!!

N takes the role and personality of V. He get put in time out chair and chain 💔

i think i also just don’t think that like… 9/11 happening in the same country as you…. is the same as being kidnapped and drugged and brutally electroshocked and otherwise meant to suffer extreme physical pain and kept awake for 36 hours at a time for weeks on end. like those are both bad but they are different. imo.
