💕 whats your favorite part of your writing process?

my favourite part is the ideas phase, when I'm out and about or going on a Thinking Walk and a snippet or scene hits me out of the blue, rain of frogs style. it's always great to get the feel of the characters walking about in your head doing their thing.

😊 say something nice about your writing

I'm pretty good with description - creative, emotive imagery that seems to resonate with people.

🔥 what’s something that’s currently going really well?

I've been developing my self-editing process, which is something I've always found really hard to do. using speech-to-text has really helped with general edits and flow, while colour-theming has worked to tackle specific issues (sentence variation, action-context ratio, etc)

Chapter 20 - Hillcrest - Day 46

Title: In Every Home a Heartache

Genre: Tlou2 fix it, slow burn

The day was silence. Most of the noises Joel heard were the ones he produced himself. His muffled footsteps on the old carpet. The snare of the guitar strings as he brushed his fingers over them. The ruffling of his backpack as he sorted through it for the tenth time. Apart from his own noises there was the low buzzing of the lightbulbs around the mirrors. The lack of natural light made it impossible to tell the time of day. Whenever he felt like a certain amount of time had passed, he got up. Stretched. Tested some motor functions of his body. Tried counting out loud, wondered if he would notice if anything was off. Or if succumbing to the infection felt so natural, he wouldn’t even notice.

The decade where electronics were funky and you could see through them. I miss that shit so much.

27. What's your favorite book? Or one you've read a few times?

I have so many favorites, another favorite book is American Gods. It was my intro to Neil Gaiman's work and I have a soft spot for how the characters have stuck with me through the years.

32.If you could go anywhere right now, where would you go?

Australia in a heartbeat. I visited this past summer and I can't wait to go back. I've been feeling homesick and I don't even go there.
