SO. i honestly can't remember if i said this here but idk almost a month ago now i guess some of my floorplanks strated to lift. out of nowhere. so we called people to look into it and there was a water leak. so they had to dismantle my bed (you can see the frame in the lighter floorboards lol) and now i sleep in the attic; a room my dad has always used to hoard stuff <3 yesterday they filled the hole so that's nice, but now they have to slash the floor and for that they need all of the furniture gone. my house is basically just a long hallway so there just isn't enough space. it's gonna be fun :) oh and also we've decided to paint the room while we're at it. so i'll probably won't be able to sleep here for at least a month i imagine. this is my current setup btw, i'm writing this from here:

I'm in Wisconsin and I hear people talking about how agencies like the Department of Health Services are fucking useless and don't do anything helpful. And they're not wrong. Let me tell you why, though, because it's important.

A few years back, the legislature got big mad that state agencies didn't do exactly what they wanted. So, among other things, they created a new law that said that a legislative committee gets to review every single rule and reg before it can take effect. And if they don't like it, they don't let it through.

At the time, they weren't targeting DHS, they were going after the Department of Natural Resource because how very dare you insist on clean water when it means our megafarms don't make as much money (and things that help megafarms generally hurt small farms, btw, our independent dairy farms are really struggling). But then Covid. They didn't like that there was a lockdown. So they sued to destroy DHS's ability to respond to public health emergencies and they won because they had stacked the state Supreme Court.

We're fucked if there's anything like Covid or worse ever again.

In Montana, the legislature has attempted to destroy the independence of the state Supreme Court because they don't like that it sometimes decides against them. They wanted to be able to handpick justices and fire them at will. So far they have not succeeded.

They tried the same here and threatened to impeach our newest one (who has done nothing wrong) because she had support from Dems and pro-choice groups and they think she has prejudged those issues and can't decide fairly because they bought her vote. Let us be clear that they do not have a problem with the losing candidate having been supported by anti-choice groups and hearing cases, just as they don't have a problem with the fact that the current chief justice is the only one in our history to have been formally reprimanded for conflict of interest violations. Her buddy Rebecca Bradley is just as bad but the state ethics folks can't do anything about it because in 2014-2015 our state Supreme Court also overturned basic campaign finance authority around campaign coordination with special interest groups because the ethics folks went after Scott Walker.

Our governor is in his second term and more than half of his cabinet nominees from the first one were never confirmed. They just rejected several for the Judicial Commission (deals with judicial ethics issues). Why? No real reason. Because they could.

And if the tables are ever turned, if we have a Dem legislature and a Republican governor, they'll lose their minds about the Dems using this same power. The rules should only go one way.

So, like. Back to DHS for a minute: they're afraid to do anything anymore because of what the legislature will do if they don't like it. And that's by design. The GOP has done everything in its power to make them useless, because then they can say look how useless they are, we should privatize this. State agencies don't help you. You can't count on them. Look at how ineffective they are.

So if things don't work, ask yourself why and who benefits. It's the long game. It's not going to get fixed quickly. But since the current federal target is the National Labor Relations Board - which protects your right to unionize - ask who benefits when government is dismantled. It isn't you.

so many people are failing so hard at the most basic fundamental question of democracy that faces as voters in 2024:

fascism or nah?

democracy or nah?

authoritarianism or nah?

but the way some of you talk about Joe Biden it makes me think you wish that he was more authoritarian. I choose to believe people simply don't understand the legal separation of powers, I choose to believe it's a civics failure

I am honestly having the most anxiety I've had in a really long time and it is frustrating me beyond belief. Here is everything that is making me anxious at this current moment in time.

This ONE class because there was one segment of the class I didn't really participate in. I felt as if there was too much weight of the decisions I would make, so one group mate truly focused on that area. I also missed one group assignment and have been trying to make up for it ever since because we are grading our group members at the end of the class and it is really making my stomach hurt. I need to pass this class in order to be officially finished with school so I'm trying to keep a good faith.

I started reflecting on me messaging school boy on Friday. AT first I thought I was just being cordial and trying to cut through the tension that is between us. But then I realized that I just made a complete fool out of myself. How? I gave him a compliment after he cruelly disrespected me. I literally told him how I wasn't open to casual sex, but he convinced me it would be more than that and I fell for it. EVEN THOUGH, I initially didn't want to have sex with him. I told him I wanted more and I still slept with him, I did. SO that's my fault on not standing on my nonnegotiables, lesson learned. But also complimenting a man after he disrespected me, crazy work. A truly new low. How did he disrespect me you may wonder? After I laid out why I didn't like to be apart of things that were casual (I told him one of the biggest reasons are there is no obligation to the other. I don't want to be left in the dust). What does he do? Ghosts me and leaves me in the dust and then I told him he looks good. A moron. Honestly, I am letting it go because I truly am just trying to find a way to dismantle the pedestal men have been put on in a society where men stay on said pedestal. I'm a work in progress truly.

I will be unemployed by the end of the month so i am a bit nervous about obtaining my first full time job, but I believe I'll find something.

I'm anxious about my social media usage and how I use my phone excessively and how it is truly ruining my life. I pick it up every 5 seconds, no joke. It took me 40 minutes just to write this because all I ever am anymore is on my phone. I can't even indulge in movies or TV shows anymore bc my phone is so distracting, it's really sad. It's a hindrance to me so I'm using ALL of my self discipline and self control to limit my phone usage. Because I want to do stuff with my life, I don't always want my head down. I want to engage, I want to have an attention span. I want to break the addiction. I want my life back.

Lastly, I'm nervous about one of my friendships ending. She's on this religious journey and is making strides to improve her life, and I am so incredibly proud of her. In taking these strides, she has completely cut out two of us. Me and our other friend, we all have matching tattoos btw. he was able to make time and plans for other people because they weren't partying, but we party. Which is fine. But we were trying to make plans with her that wasn't partying or drinking. Just simple plans, dinner, brunch, other thing. She would always reject our offers. It we were like damn shawty, all the shit we've been through with you, tried to help you with.. Again, easily discarded.

Gaah, choice choices.

One thing I'd like to talk about is political idealism (wait, wait, it gets interesting I promise). In the game, Ciri's reasoning for taking up Emhyr on his offer are not extremely clear. She mentions to Geralt that "if she wants to change things she has to do it from Nilfgaard". There is mention of a letter from Emhyr and if she appears in Toussaint she randomly refers to the man as papa (please refer to our subject expert @andordean on why this is horseshit, just make sure there is nothing breakable near) and that she doesn't want to be anyone's puppet, which fair enough.

So what is it that Ciri wants to change? There is lowhanging fruit like "don't start another war of conquest" (though even this isn't that easy: alot of people have grown fat on this policy). But what else? Certainly she cannot dismantle the empire, the powers that be would never let her and there is no real reason that this would make it better for the avarage citizen: indeed for mages and nonhumans, it might even make it worse. And she cannot do everything on her own, she needs polical support. Ciri is impatient, passionate and occasionally rash but she is far from stupid and she has had the opportunity to learn from the best. No not Emhyr: let us be honest in whom Ciri would actually treat as as role model when it comes to ruling.

(BTW the only part of The Witcher Netflix I unapolegetically stan)

No Calanthe was no saint either, no matter which interpretation of the character you follow. She fought her wars and certainly backstabbed a few dudes and surely there was both one or three people who didn't like her. But she tried to protect her people and ruled well, for a long time (which would have been longer if not for a certain son-in-law but I digress).

But lets be honest, Ciri was also raised by Geralt and Yennefer, perpetual outsiders or semioutsiders who both believe, deeply (even against their own intentions) in doing whats right and sacrificing everything for others. (In the game epilogue they credit Ciri's combination of political acumen and sense justice to Emhyr and Geralt but Calanthe and Yennefer has just as much if not more influence here).

So back to political idealism. Ciri, it should be noted, does not have to take the throne. Certainly she owes nothing to her birthfather and she has already saved the world once. Furthermore, she could, literally tear a hole in reality and sip wine in actual Camelot for the rest of her days.

Ciri takes the throne of an empire, knowing that she cannot change the fact that that is what Nilfgaard is. And she doesn't just want to rule just cause is fun (it isn't) or her destiny (it isn't). No she wants to do something with it, make the world into a better place something which someone with her upbringing has a unique perspective on. And as this ask was about a directors cut, here is the scene where she lays it out (to Triss, as it happens)

I ran with a gang once, did Geralt tell you?” said Ciri “Down in Geso, smack dab in the middle of the Korath frontier, all while half of Nilfgaard were looking for me. What a merry gang of young highwaymen we were! Thieves, murderers, brigands. We would ride were we wanted, take what we desired, kill anyone who protested. Sometimes we killed just for the cheer joy of it, the power of holding a life in your hand." Her fist clenched around the flower pedal. "I’ve tried drinks aplenty, fisstech, elven drugs you wouldn't believe but that power? Greatest high I've ever had."

Triss sat still. "Geralt never told me."

"That your little sister is a bona-fide murderer? A petty thief like those Morvran decorate the trees with? I suppose he didn't." She took a deep breath, air heavy in her lungs as she slowly unclenched her fist. "The point Triss, is that those people I rode with were damaged. Evil little bastards all but not from birth, well, not most of them. They were, what did you call the people in the Putrid grove, the refuse thrown up onto the docks. Only they ended up in Geso and instead of begging or selling their bodies for scraps they became the very thing they had ran from. And so they did more evil and more evil until the local baron to rid himself of them brought in a man you don't even want to think about. And thus, the violence and evil spreads. That’s the logic of empire."

She looked at the sorceress, green eyes meeting blue. "I can never atone for the things I did in Geso, no matter how many hospitals I open or orphanages I fund. But if I can avoid restarting that cycle again I will do everything in my power to do so."

Triss put her hands on her shoulder. "And I shall do what is within my power to help you. But if you take responsibility for every possible disaster in the empire you are going to spread yourself mighty thin."

"I don't know how to live any other way anymore. Avallac'h told me I was needed to save the world. I guess I never figured out how to stop."

"Imperial logic is not the white frost."

"Yet it is as merciless. And far more insidious." Ciri said.

(People really need to show Ciri's time with the Rats as more formative then they do)

Ciri wants to end the cycle of war and conquest, of rebellion and suppression and the only way to do so is from within Nilfgaard, the biggest player around (especially after the third war). Is it morally right? Doesn't the north deserve its freedom?

Well maybe, and thats where political friction and the dark side of political idealism come in. But Ciri makes her choice to be empress out of idealism and a large part of what I write about, when I write Ciri anyway, is that choice. Its not the happy choice, it might not even be the right choice. But its her choice and this, I think, are the reasons for it.

I don't where this Steven "never cares about others" comes from. The whole problem with him in future was how obsessive selflessness was becoming really toxic for him and how he let his relationships be defined by helping other people.

i don’t think you’re at fault here! i think the strategic angle IS important. it’s something i used to emphasize a lot when people framed the conflict as “shattering the diamonds would fix everything, steven is just too much of a coward to do it”, which... woof. i had so many problems with that sentiment.

like. let’s talk about a huge point of the shattering pink diamond story - why it doesn’t fix everything. it was a last-ditch attempt, and it scared homeworld gems away, but it was still a band-aid. it didn’t change gem society. cutting off the snake’s head doesn’t break thousands of years of homeworld indoctrination upon pink’s followers.

as you would expect, the exact opposite happens: rose underestimated how much of a BELOVED and REVERED figure pink was. jasper, the diamonds, etc - they mourned her. they hated the CGs more and each came to earth explicitly because of that hatred. and so, surprise! homeworld got angrier! they hate the crystal gems more now!

it’s also frustrating how it goes with this “Great Man History” thinking where the whole of society accepts a new way of thinking as soon as you kill their leaders and replace them. 

again - all the diamonds are worshipped and adored. if you kill them, you are an enemy in the eyes of the general population. some will admire you, sure, but that’s not really dismantling their mindset, it’s just a new form of “might makes right.”

i also take issue with how like... “oh, sure, the underclass of this society has been indoctrinated, but the diamonds and uppercrusts? nah,” when in reality, eeeeeveryone believes in their role. 

the diamonds believe they’re doing the right thing. they’re not generic, power-hungry villains. killing them without trying to help them is essentially the moral determinist’s argument: “sorry, we know your mindset was formed over millennia and that every gem has an innate need for purpose, including you, buuuut despite the forces shaping you being bigger than yourself, we’re gonna act like the people in the lower classes are the only ones capable of change.”

and that is, genuinely, how a lot of people see it. even though homeworld has never been exposed to another way of thinking, sorry, you were Innately Corrupted by the accident of your status at birth. sucks to be you, now die.

but morality aside, i also have to ask... how. 

just... how would you kill them. would white bend down politely and stop piloting others’ bodies as soon as bismuth approached her with the breaking point? because from white’s perspective, stopping bismuth is extremely easy lmao. literally just take over her body and poof, white has the breaking point now.

so even putting morality aside... strategy matters. SU is very much a world where “we will win because we’re GOOD and we have FRIENDSHIP” is not how it works in a fight. the relative strengths of each group is significant and changes your strategy fundamentally. homeworld is stronger than them.

the crystal gems are a small outpost of rebels, who are up against pretty much their entire species, including their gods. many homeworld gems like the system, the ones who don’t are usually the ones with the least social power within it, and the least physical might to match. 

so... yeah. this idea that the crystal gems would even have the chance to shatter a diamond is... very romanticized. it’s a shounen trope that doens’t respect the rules of the world in question, which are far more politically realistic.

i’ve said before that blue zircon’s theories are told through a homeworldian lens, and they are (for instance, stereotyping pearls, minimizing their agency and assuming love for diamonds)... but one thing she’s right about is that it’s extremely hard to shatter a diamond from “the outside.” in enemy territory, they often come with an entourage. they’re extremely powerful. white can control any gem. so like... good luck.

strategically, steven does the smart thing - and bismuth gives the Audience At Home (tm) a solid rundown of what he’s trying to do: “let me put this in earth terms for you: you're about to enter the "lions' den". luckily, you're a "lion" too! you gotta roar at them in their language; you're the one that has to do it.”

essentially, steven has to find a way to use his privilege in order to dismantle it. this includes talking to indoctrinated and priviliged relatives so they can understand that the hierarchy isn’t actually justified. imagine that.

btw, because the diamonds are BOTH a “resource” and the uppermost class... destroying those resources would mean you could never heal the corrupted gems. so... you got revenge for no reason and saved no one. hurray. 

so we’re sacrificing this beautiful scene, and almost every CG (who were corrupted or shattered), for the sake of vengeance. good job keeping your moral purity by not engaging with the enemy at all, 10/10 solution to the material problems of this world /j.

thank you, that really clarified some things for me when it comes to clarke. btw I didn't mean she had no development, but that it wasn't as obvious and complete as with other characters. maybe its because fandom almost always saw her as a perfect leader (except the last 2 seasons, really). but everything you said makes a lot of sense - we still haven't seen her whole story.

I actually think that one of the reasons Clarke has gotten so much hate and has so many antis, and is accused of being such a selfish/horrible character is because she was supposed to be The Golden Girl, the princess who was never wrong and always did the right thing.

Because not only was she presented that way from the beginning but she also thought of herself that way. Just and good and pure.

And that she was unable to and DID NOT stay the pure character of good and light made people feel that she had BETRAYED them.

It’s quite clear that this was a deliberate character and narrative choice. One of their guiding concepts on this show is that characters are NOT what they seem. Bellamy seemed like the selfish ass villain and turned out to be the most heroic, loving and selfless characters on the show. Finn seemed to be the romantic, fun loving boy hero, and turned out to be a cheating, manipulative selfish villain. That reversal of good guy/bad guy is essential to this story.

So we have PERFECT GOOD GIRL CLARKE, the biggest badass on earth with her golden crown, and they slowly dismantled her. Like. There’s no such thing as a perfect hero. No one gets to be a good guy just because they are GIVEN that place. They have to work for it and learn and make the choices.

Some of this has been explicit. Clarke is the embodiment of that. And it’s DIFFERENT from what we expect of our heroes in media. Especially our female heroes, who are not allowed to be fallible. They made her fallible. They made her work for her hero status. I like that. 

Some people think that makes her a villain. (I tend to think that’s a bit of internalized misogyny that judges male heroes to a different standard than women, and requires them to be perfect and good.)

She then immediately tries to find ways to keep the blog in secret, hiding behind various usernames, lurking on her coven's blogs, more time deleting posts from both blogs we know about. Meaning, instead of getting help, she spends even MORE time online engaging in more batshit crazy crap to cover her ass. Yeah, sure, that doesn't signal dire need for mental health intervention AT ALL.

You are absolutely correct. Our fandom just wants to be left alone. We don’t send hateful asks to the other side. We don’t have to. They feel they have the right to dox CCers because they don’t like what we say about M, a woman that would light a cigarette from the flames engulfing them and not call 911 to help them. I mean, honestly, it doesn’t get much lower than mocking someone’s death. Plus, as you correctly said, M put herself in the spotlight “dating” D. If she didn’t want that attention, she would have stayed in the background. There are plenty of celebrities married to non famous people and we don’t see them at every event like we do M. (It is BAFFLING to me that they can’t comprhend something as simple and obvious as the reasaon they “see Mia everywhere” is because they fucking stalk her and they hyperanalzye every photo Darren is in looking for her. If they started stalking Ben Feldman they would see his wife just as much as they see Mia).    

Bottom line is what they did to Abby was deplorable, but, just like their kween, they feel justified in doing whatever they want. This isn’t the first time they’ve crossed a line with regards to my friend, but it was the worst.

I do consider this the very intriguing thing about the news. (And it just goes to show that believing everything you’re sold is being utterly and completely ignorant.) Let’s say you’re right because ofc it’s possible. How does R/aymond fit in here? Given the excessive way team shit has pushed that article, a technicality won’t be good enough. There has to be a better plan. This doesn’t match what’s been said in his name.

What I think is this doesn’t necessarily have to mean much. You know very well what you see doesn’t have to be the (full) truth. That doesn’t just apply to the real HW. Especially considering the time period of this show. And let’s not forget the pap pics we got at a gas station. This doesn’t rule out SB as an inspiration. I would advise anyone to read up on him. We don’t know at this point. As we keep saying, the best thing to do is to wait and see. I’m certainly interested in finding out more.

HW has been a thing before that statement was made, which is indeed very different from the answer D himself gave during the interview. That’s what makes the article seem like sabotage by team shit. And standing in RM’s way is never a good idea. So while I will obviously never like him, I’m reserving judgment on his current role until we know more.

The interesting thing for me is that I’ve been here for about four years now and in that time I’ve seen the head of the fandom disappear, other people disappear because their families have been doxed, established long-term cc blogs with a wealth of history deleted without warning. I myself have had my daughters threatened.  This sort of stuff doesn’t happen anywhere in the fandom but here here. If we are a bunch of delusional crazy middle-aged women then this shouldn’t happen. (Who was doxed? Who dissappered? It’s all “liar liar” with everything ccers say. In the last 4 years Abby has been the only leader of the cc fandom. Michelle left between 4 and 5 years ago because her outrageious cc comments threatened her ability to raise money for her little Klaine-fanfic rip-off movie. I vaguely remember someone asking flowers how her daugther’s would feel if they read what she writes- hardly a threat. If there was something more she never posted any proof. As for blogs being deleted- so was D-Criss News.  It happens. The only cc blog that I know of that disappeared was DisneyPrincessModelWorld’s original blog which had was a hot mess of lies and catfishing. She visciously bullied Mia. Hardly someone to mourn their blog being deleted).

Unorganised thoughts on Silver Snow:

When I finished Golden Deer, I said that it had felt like a more traditional Fire Emblem story than Blue Lions. Silver Snow is that but even more so (though GD is still the most trad-FE cast, IMO)

Having already played those two routes, it felt very much like a whirlwind tour of them both, plus another battle thrown in at the end - a battle that probably should have been harder, but I (completely accidentally) built the bulkiest Byleth imaginable, especially resistance wise, plus high magic - and so, by pairing high defensive stats with Nosferatu, I tanked every attack that came my way 

Gaming, for me, is just doing whatever the hell I feel like, stumbling into good results, and then pretending that I did it on purpose

I spent the whole battle with the Dragon Tales theme song stuck in my head. Kind of killed the mood

I really enjoyed that after wrapping up both the Edelgard and TWSITD plots, they basically Persona 4 you by trying to convince you that the whole game’s done now and all that’s left is to chat with everyone - though unlike in P4, there’s very obviously something left to do because they give you a whole month of prep time, rather than just one day

I felt the same way about this on Golden Deer - none of the characters are appropriately shocked by Rhea’s highly questionable actions 

Also - she says she’s going to explain the whole truth! And she doesn’t! Only the Byleth creation stuff! The other revelations from Golden Deer are missing! Rhea! Why! Are! You! Like! This!

This is actually a problem I have with this game as a whole - they want to keep certain lore and secrets exclusive to certain routes, but it results in every story feeling in some way incomplete. Like, Fates gets a lot of crap, but at least you did get a full story from your half (third? never played Revelation) a game for the price of a whole one. Blue Lions gets the worst of it, I think 

Plus, when you know some of said secrets, it makes characters who refuse to share them in other routes seem weirdly (and sometimes, contrivedly) cagey about things they really do not need to be cagey about. See: Claude refusing to tell Dimitri and Byleth in Azure Moon that he wants to End Racism, and instead vagueing about ‘achieving his dream’. This is not Edelgard wanting to conquer Fodlan and dismantle the entire social structure, Claude, your ideals really are not so controversial that you need to be this coy. Dimitri and I are cool, we getcha 

My one sentence review of the whole game is basically: Great characters, great world building, great gameplay - but really, really frustrating plot structure

I’m also really upset that Seteth does not have a dragon form

Speaking of Seteth, I married him this time around. I mostly decided to do it for laughs, but while Byleth/Dedue is still my number one Byleth pairing, I came to really, genuinely like them together. Seteth is one of my favs, now more than ever

It helps that romancing Seteth feels a lot less... creepy than romancing most of the students. I like Linhardt, but romancing him felt very weird to me because I couldn’t get over Byleth having first known him as a 16 year old under their care. Dedue, for the record, doesn’t elicit this response  because he doesn’t really feel as much like a student to me? Role-wise he feels a lot closer to the knights, and it’s just that he's been enrolled as a student for convenience’s sake, which makes him and Byleth feel more equal than they do with most of the other kids. Helps that he’s also on the older end

Anyway, Seteth and Byleth would be the nerdiest couple ever, is the impression I got from their ending. The confession scene made me laugh in how ‘oh we’ve got a lot of work to do - btw wanna get married? - sweet, now let’s get back to work’ it was. Mark Whitten is a gem

It’s also the the first time I felt like the game was actually shipping me with a main lord (Seteth taking that role in the absence of the box lords on this route). Haven’t done Crimson Flower yet, so no opinion on the Edelgard/Byleth relationship yet, but regarding Claude and Dimitri my (pretty damn controversial, possibly a bad idea to put out there) opinions on them with Byleth are that

Claude and Byleth are platonic bros, regardless of Byleth’s gender. I just don’t get any feeling of romance from their relationship at all, and so pairing them off feels weird (to me, personally - I don’t hate the ship or anything, though)

Meanwhile Dimitri 100% had a crush on his teacher at school, but after more than five years of enduring trauma after trauma, and then half a year of beginning to heal (whilst fighting a war culminating in the execution of his step-sister), Dimitri is nowhere near ready for a romantic relationship. And when he is, I wouldn’t want him with any of the main cast, Dimitri x Village Girl OTP. I guess if it has to be anyone, I’d be okay with Mercedes, maybe Marianne - hell, maybe even Claude - but really, I just want him to get a fresh start. I think that’s the healthiest option for him, in the end

I do think it’s a pairing that could work in an AU where Dimitri doesn’t have any of the experiences he has in canon, though 

And again, this is just my personal reading

I’ll also admit that I may be influenced by the fact that his two most popular pairings are with Byleth and Dedue, who I greatly prefer with each other. Mostly because I love Dedue with all my soul and his ending with Byleth is by far his happiest, in my eyes at least. It’s the only one where he puts some distance between himself and Dimitri and evens out the power balance in their relationship, which makes me happy because oh boy, the Dimitri/Dedue relationship is super interesting and compelling, but also (again, by my reading) all kinds of unhealthy as it’s presented for most of the game - power balance issues like I say, the fact that they tend to indulge, even encourage, each other’s worst instincts and behaviours, mutual guilt complexes - like I say, it’s fascinating, but damn screwed up. IMO, they’re one of the best examples I’ve seen of how unhealthy relationships aren’t always the result of one bad person, and how two good people can end up being very bad for each other

Though it is, again, a pairing I can see working (and actually being incredibly cute) in an AU where they’ve lived less horrible lives

And it’s not like I don’t want them to be friends, I just want them to also develop healthier boundaries and equal levels of respect

But hey, speaking of Dimitri - I flip flopped on whether I thought his death was handled better or worse here than Golden Deer. It was given, I felt, more appropriate gravitas, but again suffered from ‘Dimitri’s dead! No, Dimitri’s alive! Oh wait, now he’s dead again’ in like, three successive scenes. And then you see his... ghost? I guess?

Dimitri really seems to get the short end of the stick on routes outside his own. Claude’s non-Deer roles were, in both cases I’ve played, much stronger and more fitting, and Edelgard is Edelgard

Maybe he’ll be good in Crimson Flower. Please. I miss Dimitri mattering. He’s probably my favourite of the three

There’s a point - obviously I don’t fully know Edelgard yet, but from what I got from the White Clouds section, above anything else she strikes me as an incredibly realistic depiction of a slightly edgy, extremely idealistic, but also highly naive and short-sighted teenager

Her whole goal, it seems, is meritocracy. She hates the crest system and the nobility, and she wants to create a system of equal opportunity. I can get behind that, but I really hope she’s prepared to accept the fact that true equal opportunity is basically impossible without recreating The Giver, as inequality is always more complex than one single factor being to blame for everything. Has Edelgard considered other limitations that make true meritocracy difficult to achieve? Has she been working on, say, a comprehensive benefits system? Or is she more of a libertarian type, and so primarily all about negative freedom and removing direct oppression? I hope Crimson Flower goes into detail on this, I’d be genuinely interested to know

I also find it interesting that she gets very angry about the fact that people hurt her and her family as a means to their own ends, so she decides that her own ends are to eliminate the system that lead to that happening - and she doesn’t care who she has to hurt in the process

This isn’t a CinemaSins *ding* plot hole observation, I genuinely think it’s interesting, and not actually that unrealistic

I also suppose her goal is no less naive than End All Racism By Being Nice To People, but Claude isn’t killing and persecuting people in attempt to achieve that, so it invites less scrutiny

I do wonder if I would have felt more strongly positively about her if she’d been my first playthrough. I do believe she’s a person that sincerely means well, and she’s certainly sympathetic, but - hmm. I’ll make my mind up when I finish CF

Anyway, paired endings. A few that I got include Raphael and Bernadetta (by far my favourite Bernie ending so far, seriously, what is that Caspar ending), Shamir and Leonie, which was cute and goofy (as Leonie’s endings tend to be, I notice, I do like that girl), Felix and Dorothea (not my favourite for either, but cute), Sylvain and Mercedes (the same but even cuter), Cyril and Petra (which felt wrong, partly because I love Cysithea a hell of a lot, and also because despite knowing there’s only about a year between them, Petra looks so much older pre-time skip), Ferdie and Marianne (super wholesome and sweet), and Linhardt and Caspar (my boyyyyssss that I refuse to ever separate again)

Not sure what I’m going to aim for on CF aside from keeping those boys together and also Ferdie/Hubert, as I’ve Heard Things

Flayn and Manuela have an A support so I figured they had a paired ending and it turns out they do not, which means Manuela was alone forever and Flayn ran away because apparently she hated having Byleth for a step mother I guess, rude

My Byleth (Myleth?) was prepared to be the best step mother in the history of the world, so offended

I realised ‘Javelins of Light’ is one of my absolute favourite tracks in the whole game. Mostly because it sounds like something out of Danganronpa, which made me nostalgic

I also like ‘Guardian of Starlight’ for somehow managing to sound like a Danganronpa/PMD: Explorers crossover track

I love how out of nowhere the Immaculate One fight is. It really does just feel like they needed something to distinguish the route from Verdant Wind outside of Claude not being around, so they just had a map that was less cool in every way except for the dragon

Is there an explanation for why Nemesis doesn’t show up on this route?

Also - I didn’t mention this in Golden Deer thoughts but I also found that final battle way, way easier than it was probably meant to be because I’d made everyone into a flier and so the floor damage hazard was meaningless

Which I totally did on purpose and not so I could make a stupid joke post about my all-wyvern team 

Anyway, in conclusion, Silver Snow was a good route, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would (I’d kind of thought it was just going to be GD without Claude, which isn’t... totally wrong, but it’s got some other stuff going on too), I liked Seteth getting to have a bigger role, I thought it had the best final boss (if not the best final boss map), and I liked that I got some more Dragon Lore (never a bad thing)

The Steven Universe movie-trailer showed up on my twitter feed because I’m still following many of the voice actors, so I might as well get into it now...

“As much as I’ve loved dismantling the Empire and saving all your planets...”

Gee, if only we’d have actually gotten to see any of that! This makes me so angry! I wanted to see Steven and the Crystal Gems dismantle the empire, get rid of the caste system, end the Diamonds’ reign of terror, free all the Pearls and other lower-caste gems, save the off-colors and make sure they have a place to live in peace, etc. But I wanted him to do those things as a rebel, not as a Diamond. I wanted the Diamonds to be a continuous threat during all of that, or to have to be removed from power first, not to be anticlimatically downtalked in a few minutes. And most importantly, I wanted to SEE all these changes happen, not have them randomly happen off-screen because they were never what the story was about in the first place. I just feel cheated - I’ve been waiting for all of this FOR YEARS and now you’re telling me it happened off-screen during a time-skip. But all those townie episodes were stuff we had time for.��FUCK THAT.

“I want my happily ever after back!”

Yup. That once again confirms exactly what I feared and suspected - that Change Your Mind was meant to be a “happily ever after”. The hope that CYM might not be meant as an ending was the one thing that still kept me invested in this show, so.. I’m out, officially. If CYM is how they “ended” their last arc, this show has dissapointed me and I’m genuinely not interested to see where it goes from here. That said, I do still love what it used to be pre-CYM. Steven Universe has shaped me, given me a lot of good memories, and I don’t regret having invested so much love into the show or its characters. But from here onwards, I can’t follow it with positive feelings anymore, so I’ll stop.

Been there, done that, BORING. We’ve already had this exact same plot with the cluster. We’ve already saved earth from destruction about a thousand times. You know what would be interesting? Actually not making it about saving earth for once. What happened to the idea that the Crystal Gems are not just fighting for earth, but for the rights of oppressed gems as well? Remember that part from Now we’re only falling apart?

Pearl: Before Garnet, Rose was only fighting for earth. But Garnet changed everything. Rose wanted to fight for her. She wanted to fight for gems. And maybe she was foolish, and maybe even... selfish, but she was...

(That might just be my favourite part from the entire show, btw.)

Long story short: I already hate that we have a new plot when the old one wasn’t finished, but I especially hate that it’s about saving earth again, when we could finally be devoting some time to that other goal the Crystal Gems supposedly have - and dismantling the Diamonds’ empire would be the perfect moment to finally bring that up, but oh well. Aint nobody got time for social justice issues when we could instead be saving the same planet over and over again.

More on that CU SvtfoE AU

Also as a follow up to the CU SvtFoE AU idea (which I don’t want to claim full credit for if I don’t  watch the show as much as others), I think Benjamin would have been a monster or even part monster while Edith was the current Mewni queen at the time. Of course their romance would have been frowned upon and they end up getting the fates their counterparts got–sort of. 

Like Edith has the same fate Eclipsa had (trapped in crystal for god knows how long) and the Magic Council either had her sibling take over the title of ruler in her place or tried to pass on a random child as an ‘heir’ if she was forced to be engaged to another before attempting to run away.

Then to cover the whole scandal, all records and memory of Benjamin are stripped away from everyone so that the scandal wouldn’t stain the history of the kingdom. Except…

Benjamin’s memories were stripped away and he was banished to a certain point in the future where he ends up working at a certain school as its eventual Head Master and of course acts like his usual jerk self during that time while looking normal on first glance. And then of course everything goes to hell for him when a certain pair of boys show up (one of the being heir to the throne of Mewni).

Though around 10-15 years pass before he finds out the truth about his past, Edith and… doesn’t take it well. And decides to take revenge upon all of Mewni and the Royal Family.

As for how it would get resolved… instead of reverting back to infancy like Meteora did, Benjamin’s memories between his banishment to confronting the current heir of Mewni would be erased from his mind (because the time in-between filled him with so much hatred and spitefulness that he would have been beyond saving). And that would allow him to go back to being the nicer individual he used to be.

(If you don’t want full credit then that’s okay. But I’ll still mention you as a semi-founder. Especially with all the Egg Casserole stuff that’s involved here).

I do like you’re ideas for Benjamin and Edith regarding their roles. Edith would have been Queen and had a secret relationship with Benny. (Btw, in the publicly released Magic Book of Spells book, it is stated that Eclipsa and Globgor were childhood friends who had secret meetings with each other and came to fall in love with each other when they became adults. I feel like the same thing could happen with Edith and Benny when they were kids). Also, Benny would be alot like CU and would have some of his characteristics and powers. Such as his cheerful tendencies, his ability to fly and have super strength etc.

She would be trapped in the crystal not only for eloping with Benjamin who was a monster but also for dabbling in dark magic and alchemy which was seen as unfitting of a Mewman queen. Edith was interested in using alchemic type potions which would unleash new beautiful magic that most queens could only hope to imagine.

After her arrest and crystallization, Benjamin was taken to St. Horwitz School for Wayward Royal Heirs as punishment by Edith’s betrothed husband, Theodore Murdsely. Old Ted loathed the idea that Edith preferred an actual monster over him. So if she wanted a monster, then she’d get one. Under his command, Benjamin was subjected to a brutal and unfair re-education system that brainwashed him into becoming Mr. Krupp, the bitter, sadistic, spiteful, jerkhole Headmaster who ruled St. Horwitz with an iron fist. He was also able to stay alive for so long thanks to a secret invention that allows him to steal the positive emotions of any child; said emotion would turn into energy to keep him ‘young’ and refreshed allowing him to rule for many more years.

But of course, everything changes when the boys arrive to save their pony friend and end up dismantling his oppressive regime. (I’m not sure about the 10-15 years part since this all happened in 1-2 years in the canon show. But if you can explain it better to me, then I’d be happy to hear it out.) Eventually he finds out his origins and decides to take out his revenge on the kingdom of Mewni for what they did to him and Edith. During his destructive onslaught, some of his traits from his past self begin to surface, such as his old sense of cheer or how excitable he gets. Especially when he meets up with Edith. But this makes him more dangerous since he becomes emotionally unstable with Krupp’s bitter and explosive anger.

You know the worst part about this? For their final fight, Gerald would have to fight against a twisted and tragic figure that shows traits of both Krupp and CU.

And of course, Edith’s magic would allow Benjamin to return after everything that happened. He’s still shaken up after the memories before his banishment. Mainly Edith being taken away by the discriminatory Mewmans. But he’d be happy to see her again. And he’d be willing to help her as she tries to rule as the new Queen of Mewni in making the kingdom a safe haven for monsters and Mewmans to live in harmony.

1. Describe your novel in 1-2 sentences (elevator pitch)

A criminal and the mechanic she’s kidnapped start out on what seems to be a short adventure, but as they get to know each other, secrets are revealed and enemies are met, forcing them into a fight with their country in the balance.

2. How long do you plan for your novel to be? (Is it a novella, single book, book series, etc.)

This is (I hope) the first in a trilogy, with a couple stories expanding off of it because there are some side characters in here whom I think definitely deserve to have their stories told.

3. What is your novel’s aesthetic? 

Secrets admitted at midnight underneath the stars while avoiding all the shit of the world around you.

4. What other stories inspire your novel? 

@marielubooks​‘s Legend Trilogy was definitely a major inspiration. Cee, one of my main characters, is basically the Day/June lovechild lmao

I have two!

Cee - A criminal who’s supposedly ruthless and cruel and has a dark past she hides from everything. 

Kyle - A mechanic who is working his ass off to support his family and isn’t used to doing things for himself

7. Who is their closest ally? 

Besides each other, Cee and Kyle rely a lot on the Specialists later on in the book. Among these Specialists, the most important people are: 

-Sixilia, a mischievous assassin whose past is dangerously intertwined with Cee’s

-Cat, a disgraced noble hardened by the struggles she’s gone through as both a trans woman and a mutate (my version of mutants lol)

-Blake, a hyperactive, happy-go-lucky disgraced soldier

-Hanna, a ex-gang member who’s lost everyone in her life, including her parents and girlfriend (who she was planning to marry)

8. Who is their enemy?

Daniela, a seventeen-year-old world-renowned genius, corrupted by an international organization hell-bent on destroying the American government.

9. What do they want more than anything?

Cee just wants to escape her past and be her own person, independent of the reputations she’s been forced to uphold in both the lives she’s led

Kyle just wants his family to be safe, to honor his mother’s memory, to let his sister live a life with choices, and to just be able to live.

10. Why can’t they have it?

Because Cee is burdened by the reputation of the infamous, cruel criminal she’s shaped herself out to be in her quest for respite and Kyle is struggling to work around the shitty governmental systems that make it difficult for a teenage boy to support his depressed, disabled father and toddler sister.

11. What do they wrongly believe about themselves?

Cee believes that she’s undeserving of love because of the things she’s gone through and the things she’s been forced to do in her life as a criminal and Kyle thinks his chance for a life outside of supporting his family is shot, seeing as he dropped out of school and has lost his chance at his own dreams.

Cee and Kyle were actually drawn by @hestray​, who I am very lucky to have! She’s my sounding board and listens to my ramble about this all the time!

Plot Points

13. What is the internal conflict?

The internal conflict revolves a lot about family, about what we owe to them and what we owe to ourselves. There’s also some classic morality about the value of life and death, and a sexuality crisis in there too for good measure.

14. What is the external conflict?

Daniela and her army, trying to dismantle the government, which would do the exact opposite of what she wants to do: put mutates on equal playing grounds with regular humans

15. What is the worst thing that could happen to your protagonist?

For Cee, if you told her that her brothers hated her, if you told her that her brothers had always hated her, if they told her they hated her... she’d be utterly wrecked she is utterly wrecked

Kyle would be a mess if somebody took his sister from him. Four years, he’s been fighting to keep her, to provide for her and give her a good life, giving up his own in the process. If she was taken from him, everything he’d done would be for nothing, and he’d be an absolute mess.

16. What secret will be revealed that changes the course of the story?

Cee’s real identity is a big one, because it’s a lot about her connections to Daniela and how big of a role she really plays in this whole “destroy the government” scheme.

17. Do you know how it ends?

Couple schemes, a few screaming matches, and a death that I hopes rocks people to their cores. I’d like to say I’ve got a decent idea, though things have changed.

Bits and Bobs

18. What is the theme?

I said this before for number 13, but it’s really about what we owe to our families and what we owe to ourselves. Cee and Kyle have very different approaches to their families, but both of them have made drastic decisions revolving around them. They each need to learn the balance between making decisions for their families and making decisions for themselves.

19. What is a reoccurring symbol?

The first one off the top of my head would be Cee’s hair, which in the beginning is long as a symbol to her freedom (because when she was young, it was kept short for practicality). At one point, she chops it off as a show that she’s given up that freedom and is back to working under someone’s thumb.

20. Where is the story set? (Share a description!)

The story is set in 2364, in a post-WWIII American Empire. The soldiers who fought in the war twenty years prior are traumatized and injured and their own children were genetically mutated thanks to the nuclear weaponry used during the fighting, causing them to grow up feared and discriminated against thanks to the deadly abilities that followed. 

21. Do you have any images or scenes in your mind already?

I have a ton of scenes in my mind and nearly a hundred pages written for just this iteration (which is the fourth so far). This isn’t even counting all the expansions I’ve scribbled down between drafts.

22. What excited you about this story?

I’m really excited to tell these characters’ stories, first and foremost! Each of them, the main characters and the Specialists, have a lot that they’ve gone through and a lot to tell the world about it.

It’s also a test of my abilities to write heavier topics. Cee in particular has gone through a lot of shit, so it’s new ground for me to be tackling some of this stuff, and I hope I do it justice and write it in a way that allows people to understand this kind of stuff.

23. Tell us about your usual writing method!

Usually writing for me starts with whatever idea’s in my head for the moment. If it’s a scene I’ve been bouncing around for a while, it might have a song on my playlist, which I’ll then play over and over and over until the scene’s written to my liking.

I'm a DIE-HARD Jon fan and while I prefer Jon over Dany (I ship Jonerys btw), I acknowledge any wrongs he's done (which you listed), I still think he's a pure cinnamon roll, but I do get what you mean. I can't fully speak for those antis messaging you, but I think what those antis are meaning to say is that people should be able to defend Dany without talking about Jon's mistakes... because dismantling Jon doesn't build Dany up or justify what she's done (which I don't think is even "bad" btw)

Finally, a rational person, thank you for messaging me. As I had mention (and I agree with you), compared to most of the characters in the series, Jon Snow is pretty vanilla (in the color scheme of things). 

I do get what you are saying and I agree, The defensiveness many Dany fans feel it’s from constantly having your favorite character attacked when similar actions by other characters aren’t question so vociferously. 

I’m going to give a general examples to illustrate the double standard that is ramped in the fandom (discussion board and blogging fandom) and why we bring up Jon or anybody else when discussing issues Dany is demonized for. 

Wildlings vs. Dothraki

Now these two cultures have clearly been setup as parallels from each other. Everything we here about the Wildlings from crossing the wall to kidnap and rape Northern women, to their pillaging of Northern villages and attacks on the Wall, it’s all there in the books. And before the series, there is no thread of the Others, however, I still don’t agree with placing a Wall to separate them from the rest of Westeros. However, that still doesn’t justify, the kidnapping, the raping, and the pillaging. 

With good reason, Jon wants to bring them across the Wall, not only are there innocent people among them, having them become part of the Other’s army will just make everything worse. Fans now believe that because they follow Jon they’ll refrain from the raping, kidnapping and pillaging. Cool.

Now, on the other hand you have the Dothraki, another group of rapers, kidnappers and pillagers. When Drogo died and Dany came about her new khalasar the Dothraki that where with her, where not allowed to rape, or kidnap or pillage. Dany well within her rights (withing the culture of the Planetos) wants to recoup her families crown and become the Queen of Westeros. So she assembles her army which include Dothraki. 

All we hear from those who don’t like Dany is how she’s bringing a bunch of raping savages to Westeros to destroy. How she’s not bringing any women with the Dothraki so they’re going to feel the need to rape Westorosi women (I seriously got an ask about this). Never mind, that while Dany had her group of Dothraki, they obeyed her laws. She’s proven that she can keep them in line. 

Now, I can make that argument without ever bringing up the Wildling, I can quote you how when the taking of Meereen happen those who raped were castrated and I’ve tried making that argument. However, even with canon proof from the books, people still insist that Dany is just going to let the Dothraki loose to create mayhem on the good people of Westeros. And how do you argue with people who dismiss book canon. 

So you see why I bring up Jon, so that I can juxtapose what he’s doing with what Dany is doing. And how it’s not that very different. Because while Jon understands the existential thread to the world, Dany doesn’t have that knowledge. And if she did she would act quite differently given her past behavior. 

Of course this entire topic is mute when we know that this large army Dany has amassed is really going to be integral to the fight against the Others and if she had not amassed it, well, everyone would be fucked. But even this argument is dismissed because her intentions when coming to Westeros aren’t pure. I’m sure you can understand my frustration and that of others. 

This is just one example of many. 

By the way, I was being a bit facetious about Jon. But noting his shortcoming is not bringing him down, like I said, that makes him interesting to me and I’m really looking forward to TWOW Jon who I expect will be much darker.

Log 0022, 4:46am, 7-28-2019

So, shaggy got back from whatever, he says he’ll have all the shit ready for me to turn his PC into an NPC, by his last session, which is Monday, the 29th. And Paint Master has joined the table, though I feel bad his first session’s combat was dismantled but the party. On that note, they were supposed to fight the Metallikorn, a gang of metal head unicorns, but no let’s give those unicorns drugs and party. The party member that gave them drugs didn’t relive they were drugs, till after, and they were like I did get them from the on board drug dealer… And one of my players, the bard, wanted to seduce one of the Metallikorn, I’m like role persuasion, bitch got a 32, so he picked up by the back of his shirt and taken to lower levels of the air ship by one of unicorns, and get his fade to black, and as always he has to roll constitution, and he’s got 4, he now has Unicorn-Chlamydia. If I had to describe this session in a word it be, hysterical, at one point I was laughing so hard I was in physical pain. I don’t know how I got players like this but I love it.

In lash’s campaign, I honestly don’t remember much, Danny finally got some instruments though.  Near the end of Thursday’s, the 25th, session I started a manic episode in which I acted a fool, gods I can only image how it was for everyone around me. queen told me lash’s hair was soft, so I went to ask to touch it, he was cool with that, and I was like all too loudly, oh my gosh it really is soft. And I ran around getting hugs from everyone, all overly excited like.  I don’t at all feel awkward about it. Haha…

Near the end of Thursdays, session I started a manic episode, which was weird for every one I’m sure. Queen told me that Lash’s hair was really soft, so I walk up to the table a say that Queen sead your hair really soft can i touch it, he like yeah, and then I do and acting like an 8 year old say too loudly it really is omg, and run after

I hung out with queen most of Friday, the 26th, it was fun. We went a couple places to apply for jobs, then to the library, then to Presh’s place, then Smoothie King, then a park, then back to Presh’s place. I enjoyed it. Plus, I got me out of the fucking house, so I didn’t have to think about all the shit that’s making me want to not live any more.

I need a job so badly. It’s not even funny. I don’t know what to do. I don’t really have transport, so it has to be in walking distance. And everything is apply on line and I hate it so much, you have to have accounts on every fucking website, asking for information I don’t have. Plus, I have no fucking experience, no way to get anywhere. This shit is stressing me out to no end, I just want to die.

And, I’m trying to get in to college but I can figure out financial aid, I’ve all ready applied for it, and it not showing up on any of the accounts I made the day I went to the school. I don’t even know if I still want to go in to computer science anymore. I can’t get any help from my mother.

This shit has had me so fucking depressed; I’ve had to force myself eat, because I’ve just had no appetite. I just want to sleep and play/run DND. But that’s not an option. I just don’t know what to do. I feel like I can’t move. It’s killing me literally, if I hadn’t made that packed to kill someone before I can kill myself I’d be long dead by now. Everything is too much. I just don’t know.

So…

Like, Queen said that Lego and myself looked close, and a while ago eyebrows asked if me and Lego we’re dating… So, apparently people think there’s something going on with me and Lego… Like, I don’t really get it. Like, I do hang around him at the shop some times, and laugh at his puns, but there legitimately hilarious. I can’t handily puns, like, they just get me brah. Like, I’m not into Lego like that. Not that I don’t like him, he’s great dude. I just have zero interest in getting in his pants. It’s odd, like. I feel like I act more in to PBNJ, than I do Lego, and people aren’t asking what’s going on with me and him. It’s a whole wtf, I’m like what, over here, like. IDK.

Presh thinks Eyebrows is into her, I heard this from queen, btw. I don’t know how she feels about him though… It wouldn’t surprise me if Eyebrows were into Presh, cuss she’s her, he doesn’t seem to have any problem driving her to and from the shop, which is 30 minute drive, from there to the shop, like he could live out there, making it less a thing. But the fact that she didn’t tell me, is kinda shady, honestly. Like why would you not tell me? Probably be cuss she changed her mind and is now into him, because I said I was. She also never mentioned that he was single again. Like, I don’t bring him up because it looked to make her uncomfortable.

I mean she never talks to me anymore, other than like hellos/goodbyes, dnd, and to borderline boast about how amazing she is. Like, she’s never mean. But she’ll invite Queen to do stuff, but never me. She had invites everyone karaoke. The only reason I ended up at her place, Friday was cuss she was inviting Queen, and I was with Queen. Dose she hate me or something? Like gods, I’ve never been anything but nice to her. Dose she for some ungodly reason view me as a threat or some shit, I mean shit I’m blatantly not a fucking threat to her.

Gods, I can’t tell if I’m paranoid, or if I should actually be worried. Like fuuuuuuckkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This shit is making me insane. It’s all some fucking high school bullshit; I don’t want part in it. I want to not feel like this. It makes me so fucking angry. I’m so fucking tired of being angry. I need to get over this stupid motherfucker, Eyebrows, cuss, it’s driving me mad. And I need Presh, it stop this fucking bullshit of we’re friend kind of anyway, be-motherfucking-cause it’s so goddamn stupid. I hate all of this I don’t want to deal with it. It makes me feel like a 14 year old, it’s so fucking juvenile. I hate it.

Nurture Yourself – The Gift of December’s 3 Vibration

As we enter December, 2017 is winding to a close. In many ways, it feels like 2017 rushed by. Soon we’ll be saying goodbye to the 1 vibration we were immersed in all year long. In January we shift from the inward focused 1 vibration to the inward/outward focus of the 2 vibration for all of 2018.

You got the preview of this energy in November. How did it feel? Did you allow yourself to “go with the flow” and cultivate patience? Did you make time to express your creative side? Did you play with ways to increase your confidence … and perhaps your courage? Were you able to establish a gratitude practice of some kind? Were you able to see things from a different perspective?

Yes, the energy and events this year have been stressful for many, catastrophic for some. I feel you. And I send each and every one of reading this a blanket of love to wrap around you and bring you some comfort.

As I write this month’s numerology report, the Angels tell me to tell you that you are loved more that you know, more than you believe possible. You are loved. May you take some comfort in hearing that you are, indeed, loved.

DAY 7 (1/26) ACTIONS TO MAKE AMERICA, AMERICA AGAIN!

-YESTERDAY, IN TRUMPLAND-

TRUMP DECLARES WAR ON IMMIGRANTS

Trump signed an executive order to ban Immigrants from several middle eastern countries and stop Syrian Refugees from entering into the US. His supporters love this because most of them believe the hype behind this myth that our borders are wide open. The process is actually very thorough and takes up to 2 years before any refugee is able to enter the US, but FOX News or it didn’t happen right? This order also plans to defund any sanctuary cities, hire 5,000 border officers, expand detainment centers, and the end the catch and release policy. For a group of people that are so pro-life, they seem to not GAF about the lives of these women and children. I’m not surprised when you have Senators compare people to buildings… yes you read that right, people are just inanimate objects for them to play with.

Trump also ordered the building of the Wall right before his officials are set to meet with senior Mexican officials. The wall will still cost us $25 Billion dollars to build and Mexico has already said, hell no to paying for it and they aren’t planning to pay us back for it either. What does that even mean, pay us back? Well, apparently Trump wants to take all the money that Mexican immigrants in the US are sending back to their families in Mexico to help fund the $25 Billion wall. Which doesn’t seem like a reliable defense since, you know, tunnels… Just sayin’

Then later in the day, Foreign Mexican officials who were supposed to meet with Chief of Staff Reince Pubis Priebus, Trump’s Son In-Law Jared “My daddy had to pay to get me into Harvard” Kushner, Mike Flynn (NSA), and Steve “is Alt Right” Bannon are reconsidering their visit. They were going to try to convince Trump that blowing up NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) could potentially effect 6 million American Jobs that depend on exports to Mexico. They also were planning to flex by threatening to stop cooperating in the fight against drug trafficking, and discontinue efforts to stop foreign terrorists from using Mexico as a throughway into the US because let’s face it everyone hates us right now. Granted, NAFTA could use some updates (data protection, online-crime, and e-commerce weren’t around in the early 90’s when initially signed). But “NAFTA and Other trade deals [are not what has] gutted American Manufacturing”. Automation and our failure to train people for the evolving job requirements in manufacturing have. Let’s face it, this whole plan isn’t for the people; this is for Profit… because remember the President is still profiting from his businesses.

 Let’s Talk About Climate Change

Trump has ordered the EPA to take down the climate page from their website. Also with everything else that’s going on, the sneaky GOP has officially shut down the investigation into the Flint water crisis. All those people will receive no justice and the problem has not been fixed. 

 ACA/ Housing Developments

House passes a nationwide abortion ban, vote now goes to the Senate! Also, turns out that Global Gag order is not just business as usual as some news reports say. It actually goes much farther with some unprecedented reach

HHS banned from releasing data/facts to the public.Elizabeth Warren and Sherrod Brown to approve Ben Carson to HUD. Yup the same guy who said Obamacare was “the worst thing to happen to America Since Slavery” and that he didn’t want to take this job because he has no experience running a government agency. SMH

 The GOP’s Hypocritical Oath

Looks like the axis of evil has some hypocritical skeletons in their own closets. I mean you would think that if two of the cornerstones of your campaign centered around the misuse of emails (one that led to that investigation to nowhere) and unsubstantiated claims of a rigged voting system, you would want to make sure your hands were clean of such offenses right? WRONG! Egg, meet face.

It has come to light that both Steve Bannon, Steve Mnchin (Treasury Secretary Nominee) and Tiffany Trump are registered to Vote in 2 different states! Also, the republicans beat the democrats in the House and Senate by over 3 million votes, so I’m thinking the GOP really doesn’t want this investigation digging up dirty details. But logic need not apply in this house.

Oh, and BTW Kellyann, Bannon, Kushner, and Spicer are all using private email accounts, while Trump is still communicating on unsecure devices. This is the same private email system that the Bush Administration got caught using (remember the one where they “lost” 22 million emails).  Guarantee that is something you will not see on the FOX News feed. Stay woke people!

 Bills, Bills, Bills & The Crooked GOP

The Senate Voted 51 to 48 to completely dismantle clauses in the ACA they were supposed to keep. And there is still no replacement! Items include: ending coverage for preexisting conditions (this also affects you if you get your insurance through work, like I do), cut funding for Child Health Insurance Program, cut provision allowing children to stay on their parent’s healthcare until the age of 26, remove discrimination from women in healthcare, end contraceptive coverage, defund and repeal the affordable care act. House Vote is on FRIDAY! Better get in touch with your Senators!

Mississippi Gov, Phil Bryant, aka Mike Pence 2.0, signed into law yesterday a bill allowing businesses to refuse service to people in the gay community just by claiming, “God made me do it.” Oh ya, this effects the Trans Community as well.

On a National level, Mr. “I Love The Gays” is now backing this Anti- LGBTQ bill, the First Amendment Defense Act, which essentially is code for “Not Straight, No Service.”

House passes bill to PERMANENTLY outlaw abortion for folks on ACA, Medicare and Medicaid in the case of incest or rape! This was the only form of abortion allowed to be paid for with federal $$$ under the Hyde Amendment. Studies have shown that banning abortion does not decrease the number of abortions, but is does increase the number of maternal deaths. This is truly the party of death!

The Netherlands came to SLAY! In response to Trump’s reinstatement of the global gag order, the Dutch government set up an International Abortion fund. Just as we saw in the Women’s March, the WORLD has got our back and we will need the support for the next 4 years!

Another Victory, the Agriculture Department Lifted the Gag Order out of response to all the “outrage” they received! The Resistance IS working. Continue to be vigilant and speak up!

ProPublica is an outlet that recently came out and is now helping Scientists “leak” data and still stay anonymous. This could prove very valuable as many scientists were frantically saving data before the Trump Dumb. Now it looks like there are alternative venues to house and distribute info to the public, including rogue twitter accounts created by the National Parks Service AltUSNatParksService (@AltNatParkSer), the EPA @UngaggedUSEPA, and NASA @rougeNASA. it’s official! The resistance movement has hit SPACE!

Greenpeace killed it in the resistance game yesterday! These People Scaled a crane and hung a “Resist” banner just blocks away from the White House! You could actually see it in the background as you looked at the Whitehouse! And then these folks chased down Marco Rubio to give him an actual spine in response to his caving on the Tillerson vote.

Some leaky aids in the Whitehouse spilled all the tea on how our resistance is getting under the Child in Chief’s thin skin. It seems like he’s having a hard time adjusting to having a real job.

NYC continues to make me proud! Here is video of the hundreds of people that descended upon Washington Square to STAND up for immigrants and Muslims! Later on Mayor Bill De Blasio, held a press conference to express that NYC would remain a sanctuary city. Mayors from Boston, San Francisco, and other sanctuary cities around the US joined suit. I couldn’t make the protest by donated to the IRC (International Rescue Committee). You can Donate HERE. Guide to Calling Senators. These are the Senators we need to vote NO. Find Your Elected Officials HERE. If you can’t get to them, try all the numbers listed for their staff as well!

2)  FLOOD Paul Ryan’s office with letters (since he has stopped picking up the phone) and tell him what happened today in the House to remove the provisions of Obamacare and defund it with no replacement is unacceptable. here is his mailing address: 1233 Longworth HOB, Washington, D.C. 20515; Fax: (202) 225-3393. Yes, they still use Fax Machines over there.
