there’s a really interesting phenomenon going on that I've seen mostly on twitter in which people are pretending The Last Jedi and the other Sequel movies is and was always good, actually.

it seems to me as if there's a new consensus that the people who did and still do dislike that movie are those mad about Rey being a woman, Finn being a black man, etc, and while I'm a thousand-percent sure that's true, that some people hate that movie for stupid and bigoted reasons, it doesn't change the fact that The Last Jedi (and truly, the entire Sequel Trilogy) is just flat-out a bad movie.

All three of those films suffer hugely because all three are fundamentally different at a ground level. They are inherently disconnected in a way that a trilogy should not be, leaping from idea to idea that the next film inevitably squanders. There is no consistent storyline other than 'First Empire Bad'; there is barely any buildup to to the reveal of Palpatine, Kylo Ren as a character flip-flops between tortured badboy to Maybe Redemption Arc and back. It's not because he's conflicted, it's because everything is simply inconsistent.

Finn and Poe are done huge disgraces by the end of it all, Kylo Ren having been deemed more important and heroic than they are, and The Love Story is just terrible. The end of The Last Jedi sees Kylo Ren successfully assassinate Snoke, which is a pretty cool fucking thing to happen, but Rise of Skywalker squanders the aftermath of that idea with the rushed redemption.

These are movies that feel like each one was supposed to have its own subsequent trilogy; put together, they're a mess.

Hello! My ask is about The Rise Of Skywalker. I would like to read your analysis of Reylo's scenes such as their dialogues in the film, Rey's declaration to Ben ("I did want to take your hand. Ben's hand."), Ben's return to the light side and the reylo kiss. The declaration, Ben's return and the kiss, for me, are the only good things about this film.

I thought all of the Rise of Skywalker was really terrible. Terrible writing, terrible plot, and even some pretty terrible characterizations. (I thought the actors did their best, though.)

Basically, ROS had several threads that TLJ and TFA had braided together. All it needed to do was tie those threads off. But instead, it unraveled them and tangled them up and said “done! All tied up!”

For example:

Thread 1: Finn’s journey from fear to faith.

Thread 2: Leia’s hope for her son.

Thread 3: Poe’s journey from hero to leader.

Thread 4: Hux’s growing, rabid desire for control. (It’s why the organization’s called the First “ORDER”)

Thread 5: Kylo Ren’s learning that power won’t make him feel secure.

Thread 6: Rey’s learning that she doesn’t need to be “somebody” because it’s all about something bigger than herself.

Thread 7: Kylo Ren and Rey learning their respective lessons by finding the answers in each other.

TLJ took what TFA started and got you those threads. Then TROS said “never mind, we don’t like those threads” with most of them. For example, Poe and Finn suddenly have nothing to do. For example, Finn is not doing anything that requires the faith he began building at the end of TLJ; he’s just following Rey around. Poe is not learning how to lead, he’s just info-dumping and trying quick three-man hero missions, unlike the lesson he learned at the end of TLJ. Hux is not strategizing with rabid extremism for control; he’s just pettily throwing his life away to get back at Kylo Ren. Et Cetera. The threads all get unraveled or tangled up or left dangling uselessly.

EXCEPT for Thread 7.

They make an attempt at “Kylo Ren and Rey learning their respective lessons by deepening their bond.” The problem is, without the other threads, that one just doesn’t fit any better than the rest of the story.

First off, I 100% agree that Kylo Ren and Rey would be involved romantically, in some way, eventually. There’s literally no way around it. Romantic attachment is choosing to commit to someone on an intimate level. Because they’re Force Bonded, and because they are the only people in the universe who have similar identity crises and deep family-related angst, they were bound to intimately understand each other. They started caring about each other in TLJ. All TROS had to do was fan the flames of that care up in a way that led to their character developments concluding.

Rey just needed to demonstrate more of the letting-go she demonstrated at the end of TLJ: she wants Kylo Ren to be Light, but she realizes there’s nothing she can do to force it, even if she begs and pleads, so she just keeps doing the right thing on her end and trusts the Force, believing he’ll come to the right conclusion in the end no matter how much evil he’s done. What’s that ladies and gentlemen? It’s called ✨ unconditional love. ✨

Then Kylo Ren just needed to see that love. Literally, just see and continuously experience it. Even if he’s trying to hunt her down and kill her or take everything from her or whatever, she just keeps refusing to kill him and believing he’ll turn good. After all, that’s more than his parents did for him back when they sent him away—and since then, whatever unconditional love Rey shows him is strengthened by the examples of unconditional love Han Solo and Luke showed right before they died. Plus the alternative to accepting unconditional love—murdering everything that might give him a sense of power—hasn’t been making him feel any better. So he was primed for redemption via Rey.

That’s all they needed to do in TROS. Not so hard, just write a reason for her to save his life or spare it again, even after their previous encounter and even given his new status as Supreme Leader. He’s halfway there. Continued pushes are all that’s needed.

Just like Luke Skywalker in the Revenge of the Sith, Rey and Kylo Ren don’t really need to develop much more in the final movie of their trilogy. They just need to put what the first two movies taught them to a big final test.

Anyway. With that in mind:

Let me give you the bite-sized version 😅

The Force-Searching Scenes - I don’t like these because they’re all Kylo Ren searching for Rey, with little to no engagement from her. She feels more like she’s given up on him in these scenes and is just trying to win an argument whenever he barges into her brain. He, on the other hand, might be looking for her, but it’s with one hand on his grandfather’s mask. Which is totally the opposite of him “letting the past die. Kill it, if you have to.” So he’s taking weird steps backward, toward TFA, as if TLJ never happened… and that tarnishes his motives for finding Rey, in my mind. If he’s going back to trusting the past and the idea of his grandfather, then why does he want to turn Rey to the dark side? When Vader failed to turn Luke, he tried to murder him. Kylo Ren knows that. So meditating on a mask he should be giving up on in order to find and turn Rey makes no sense, so it takes the tension out of those scenes for me.

Fight Scenes - Again, it makes no sense that Kylo Ren would still be pursuing turning Rey to the dark side so doggedly. Neither of them could convince the other at the end of TLJ. They split a lightsaber in half to prove it. Now, that doesn’t mean they should be giving up on each other completely. But Kylo Ren should be acting like he’s given up on her, even if just to convince himself. That’s what he’s done this whole time: turned to killing the people who fail him to make himself feel more powerful. She has a reason to keep believing in him: she’s on the Light Side of the Force. But instead, she’s the one acting like she wants nothing more to do with him. He mentions how he’s going to turn her to the dark side multiple times in the movie. But she doesn’t say more than one quipped question hinting that she still wants him on the light side. So the “attachment” focus of their fights loses all it’s tension because again, it doesn’t make sense. After TLJ, he should be at least trying to give up on her and pursue killing her, if anything. And she should be steadfastly believing in him, while pursuing doing the right thing no matter what he does. That’s where they were in their character development. More fighting barely makes sense.

Healing Scene - I liked this scene only when Rey heals Kylo Ren. Their fight beforehand, and her ramming his lightsaber into him, still makes no sense. She’s angry at him because of her connection to Palpatine and she’s fighting him like that’s going to exorcise her identity…but Rey being a dark, angry descendant of Palpatine never made sense (it unravels her whole character development.) So her motivations in this scene don’t make sense…until she heals him. Then, suddenly, there’s a glimpse of that Rey we left on the Millenium Falcon in TLJ: she’s healing him, even though he might just stand up and attack her again, because she genuinely believes he’s Ben and she just needs to show him mercy until he comes around to believing it. And THAT is part of what turns him. So I like that: I just think it was executed really poorly. She should never have been healing him from a wound she caused.

The Kiss - The kiss was just basically the TROS storytellers confirming that they were romantically attached instead of just enemies-to-friends/Allie’s attached. Because…for some reason they had to confirm that visually. I just think, again, that they didn’t set it up and execute it well. They have no conversations and no significant attention paid toward each other between the healing scene and the final battle. They might be force-linked, but the audience needed to see that bond turned romantic, or him turned good before any overt romantic gestures, much earlier on. Other than that, I like that he healed her. I love Adam Driver’s acting in that whole scene. Makes me wish they gave him more to do.

The Death Scene - This should not have happened. It was lazy. Kylo Ren is a character who has been trying to fulfill himself by making BIG, final (emphasis on “final”) choices. Having him make one more big final choice, to end his own life, was not good character development. He should’ve had to live with what he’d done so he could learn from his mistakes. That’s where his whole character was headed. He’s always failed to learn from his past: he thinks he can just erase it. You know what giving up your life for a different hero and then fading away is? It’s nice, but it’s just another “erase” choice. Additionally? It’s terrible for Rey’s story, too. She finally had someone she chose, someone she waited for who actually came back, somebody who understood her…somebody who’s redemption rewarded her long faith…and she’s left alone again. That’s just the worst. Plus, what did she need him to heal her for? What exactly did she die of? He was way more injured than she was.

What they should’ve done was, Kylo Ren and Rey save the day, and then he’s condemned to death for his crimes by the New Republic, but in honor of Leia’s life of sacrifice and belief in him, he’s given enough of a pardon to simply be banished to the unknown reaches. And Rey goes with him, because she can finally stop waiting, she loves seeing the galaxy, and they can learn about the Force together…plus, they’re obviously deeply connected. And that would be a great homage to Leia’s legacy as a character who never gives up on hope, and that hope is ultimately rewarded. Instead of having her give her life to reach him…so he can live for an hour or so before also dying.

Long story short…you’re right! I just think all the elements you liked should’ve been way more central, built up to, and placed where they fit in a better movie!

Kylo walked through the ballroom, glancing from guest to guest, observing how they carried themselves, what they were wearing, what they were doing. Anything to occupy himself without actually having to do any partying. He didn’t hate parties, but fancy galas like this weren’t his scene. He wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for his job. 

Everything felt stuffy, his tux, his shoes, the room. His hair was tied in a tight bun and it was giving him a headache. He scanned the venu and decided to go by the tables of food. More people were chatting on that side of the room. Maybe he could pick up on a few things. 

He pushed through the crowd his height giving him a slight advantage. There was a commotion as someone just ahead of him stumbled over his heels, Kylo reached out to catch him but the man’s drink spilled across Kylo’s shirt. 

“Oh my!” The man exclaimed steadying himself, clinging onto Kylo a bit too tightly. “I can be so clumsy, I’m terribly sorry about your shirt.” 

Kylo sighed. He had to admit the man’s voice was quite nice and the accent only added to it. “It’s alright I doubt I was going to wear this shirt again.” 

The man chuckled but cleared his throat and stood up letting go of Kylo trying to act composed. The man had pale eyes and skin, face dotted with freckles, and he wore dark makeup. His hair was fiery red and neatly slicked back, side from a few loose stands. The aforementioned heels were red lace up stilettos, making him just a bit taller than Kylo. He wore a low cut black blazer and suit pants embroidered with red, and he had a black leather corset over it, cinching his already thin waist and accentuating his shoulders making them look broader than they really were.  

“Shame it is a lovely suit.” The man said offering him a kind smile, Kylo couldn’t tell if he was trying to flirt or not. 

“Did you want another drink?” Kylo asked, nodding to the man’s now empty glass. 

“That would be lovely.”

Kylo signaled for a waiter taking the man’s empty glass and placing it on the tray before he took two more glasses off of it and handed one to the man taking the other for himself. “So what’s your name?”

“Hux” the man answered simply. “And you?”

“Kylo, Kylo Ren…” His voice trailed off and they stood there awkwardly. Hux was very handsome, he wanted to say something but he wasn’t really sure how to go about it, it didn’t matter anyway he’d be leaving soon. 

Hux broke the silence. “I haven’t seen you around. Are you staying at the resort?”

“No. I’m here for work. You’re staying here?”

“Yes.”

“Cool.” Cool? Did he really just say cool? What was he doing?! He was never this flustered! 

“I really am sorry about your shirt, it’s quite stained isn’t it?” Hux pointed out. 

“Oh it’s fine, I needed an excuse to leave anyway.” He added dryly shifting uncomfortably rocking back and forth on his heels. 

“Leave? The party has barely started.” Hux commented. 

“Not Really my scene.”

“Not mine either.”

“Then Why did you come?”

“I wanted to dress up.”

Kylo nodded. They stood in silence again. 

“Did you want to come back to my room? I could get you a new shirt.” Hux asked, holding out a gloved hand to him. 

“Just for a new shirt?” Kylo smirked teasingly. 

“Oh don’t be crude, but… perhaps.” Hux smiled back giving him a sultry glance before Kylo took his hand and was led out of the party. Then they found themselves in the elevator alone, and Kylo didn’t hesitate, he pulled him into a tight hot kiss. Then after a few moments pulled away. Hux stared at him blinking, trying to process what had happened. 

Kiss first, ask questions later, that's what his father had said at some point. Probably not advice you wanted to take if you didn’t want to get slapped, but with Hux it seemed to work because only seconds later they were kissing again, lips parted, tongues dancing aggressively with such fervor they pulled away panting.

 “Well that was Hot.” Kylo commented.

“Just wait till we get back to my room~” Hux added seductively.

“Maybe I don't want to wait.” Kylo said, pushing Hux against the elevator wall. 

“We’ve already missed my floor twice now.” Hux pointed out. 

“Your room can wait.” He leaned forward biting into the skin of Hux’s neck who tiled his head to grant him more access. Kylo’s hands slid down Hux’s waist sliding along the leather of the corset holding him in place as he moved down from his neck biting a trail along his collarbone causing Hux to gasp. He licked along the contour of his chest praising the fact that Hux had not worn and undershirt beneath the low cut blazer. His hand pulled one side of the blazer off his shoulder revealing his hard pink nipple which was pierced with a little silver rhinestone.  He groaned against Hux’s chest and moved his mouth lower, taking the piercing in his mouth and tugging gently. Hux moaned, pulling at Kylo’s hair till the elastic broke and arching his back against the wall. Then the elevator door slid open. The two of them froze, immediately letting go of each other and trying to act normal as strangers entered the elevator. Kylo offered an awkward wave to them and Hux adjusted his blazer. Then the two of them pressed the button for Hux’s floor again and rushed off as soon as the elevator arrived.

Hux led Kylo down the hallway, keying open the door and leading him into a lavish suite. As Kylo stared in awe Hux guided him to the bedroom, pushing him down onto the bed. Kylo smirked expecting Hux to join him but he started walking off instead.  “My closet is there, if you want a clean shirt” Hux said, gesturing to some sliding doors. “But I doubt you’ll fit any.”

“Where are you going?” Kylo asked, but Hux didn’t reply smirking before stepping through another door which Kylo assumed was the bathroom. 

Kylo glanced around the room, the crimson wallpaper, dim lighting and dark wood gave the room an ominous yet sensual look. It looked like there were a lot of antiques, like something out of a vampire movie. With the way Hux had been dressed Kylo wouldn’t have been too surprised if he’d walked in to see a coffin. He adjusted his hair now that it was free from the bun, sighing at the mental image of Hux maybe giving him a scalp massage to ease his headache. He decided to take his shoes and socks off while waiting, and after a few minutes of awkwardly sitting on the bed Hux emerged from the bathroom with a seductive grin. 

He still wore the heels but the suit and corset had been swapped for a Pearl colored silk robe. Kylo took a deep breath as Hux began to slowly side the shimmering fabric off of his shoulders revealing a white lacy bralette and matching panties. Hux smiled, folding the robe and placing it on the chest at the foot of the bed, walking towards Kylo, swaying his hips. 

“Damn-“ Kylo commented breathlessly, his face felt hot. 

Hux undid the shoes and kicked them off before sitting on the edge of the bed, paying close attention to his posture, legs crossed dainty, a sight arch in his back, leaning forward ever so slightly, exaggerating his hips just so, the white lace of his panties accentuating every curve. He was an actor, a performer. The way he carried himself, thought of each move before acting, everything was calculated, and graceful, like a trained dancer. Being Honest Kylo wouldn’t have been surprised if he was one. 

“Why your quiet Ren~ you’ve gotten quite an eye full have you?” 

Hux’s words were like a song, cutting through all of Kylo’s reservations like butter. The sweet tenure of his voice lulled him into a euphoric bliss. He wanted to grab him, free him of his lingerie and take him right there, but he had to stay reserved just a little longer, at least as much as his tight pants allowed. 

Hux leaned forward reaching to the nightstand and opening the drawer. Each movement was smooth, exaggerated, just watching his fingers slide gently across the wood varnish was enough to make him shiver, the red nail Polish shining in the light of the vintage lamp. He drew fourth a lipstick canister from the drawer and opened it with a satisfying pop. Hux held it to his lips, tapping his acrylics gently along the length of the canister in a sensual manner. He paused, turning to Kylo, smirking at his flushed expression. 

“Hux, you really know how to make an impression. Shit it’s like your trying to fuck my brain!” Kylo explained tugging on his shirt collar wich felt too stiff, too tight. 

Hux made a small arrogant laugh, “Oh how eloquent, you truly have a way with words,” he said sarcastically. “You want that off don’t you?” Hux said, gesturing to the button down. Kylo nodded eagerly in response. “Then take it off, I’m not helping you, I'm busy.”

Kylo groaned. “You’re so kind” He chided, but he quickly undid his shirt, leaving it hung open, he was already starting to sweat and his nipples were hard. 

“I don’t think I ever said I was~” Hux picked up the lipstick again pushing it up so the burgundy shade was visible and began applying slowly, lips slightly parted, watching Kylo with his turquoise eyes the hole time, scrutinizing every part of him, sizing him up. 

“Do you do this often? Bring men back to your room and stare at them like they’re prey?”

Hux set the lipstick down beside him smiling coyly and turning to Kylo, inching ever so slightly closer. His gentle hand rested on Kylo’s knee, pushing it to the side languidly, spreading Kylo’s legs just enough for him to fit comfortably between them. “Wouldn’t you like to know~” 

Kylo’s breath hitched and Hux moved forward climbing onto his lap and placing his hand on Kylo’s flush chest, smiling smugly, loose strands of his fiery red hair falling lazily across his forehead, his makeup slightly smudged from hours in the humid ballroom mingling through crowds of haughty strangers. His pointed nails traced patterns down Kylo’s chest slowly outlining every muscle as they trailed lower.

Kylo bit his lip, Watching Hux intently as one of the straps of the bralette slid off his pale, freckled shoulder. “My god you're gorgeous.” He said breathlessly. 

“Hm? I get that a lot.” Hux answered dryly, his hand continuing its work and coming to rest on Kylo’s crotch. His cock was hard pushing against the weight of Hux’s hand. Kylo stifled a moan and shifted slightly. 

“You sound dissatisfied.” Kylo questioned, confused. 

“When you hear it once you’ve heard it a million times. Surely you could be more creative.”

“Is this a test?” Kylo asked, raising an eyebrow. 

“I’m just saying don’t waste your breath on mediocre compliments.”

“Bossy are you? Okay, you’re not just gorgeous. You’re the most gorgeous thing I’ve laid eyes on. Every movement, every breath, I want to study. Play them over and over in my head. The way the shine in your eyes dances in the dim light, how your lips part just slightly, the way your hair looks messy, yet purposeful, how the blush on your face and chest adds a warmth to the porcelain of your skin. You look so fragile yet sharp, like if I’m not careful I’ll cut myself. You’re like a god, I feel as if I should castrate myself before you and bask in your glory. I can’t look at you without being blinded but at the same time I crave it. I want to take you in my arms and hold you tightly even if it hurts~” 

Hux smiled, there was no hiding the blush on his face. “Well it seems I have found myself in bed with Romeo~”

“If I profane with my unworthiest hand, This holy shrine, the gentle fine is this. My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.” Kylo quoted running his hand along Hux’s back gently pulling down the second strap of the bralette. Hux looked up at him leaning closer still. 

“Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much,Which mannerly devotion shows in this; For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch, And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.” Hux responded.  

Kylo smiled, holding his chin up and pulling him closer. “It seems I have found myself in bed with Juliet~”

“Oh what a tragedy~” Hux laughed, his laugh was soft, kind, and genuine. A vulnerability he seldom shared with anyone.

Kylo leaned forward whispering into Hux’s ear. “These violent delights have violent ends

And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,

Which as they kiss consume. The sweetest honey…” Hux cut him off placing a finger across Kylo’s lips to quiet him.

Hux leaned forward to kiss him, laying his body across Kylo’s chest “Thus with a kiss I die~”

His lips puckered, but Kylo stopped him taking a thumb and rubbing away the lipstick leaving a burgundy stain on the corner of Hux’s mouth, then he planted a gentle and quick kiss on his thin lips and wiped off his own lips when they parted. 

Hux froze looking confused for a second before the coy smile returned. “What? Shy of a little lipstick?” He picked up the canister and reached up to apply again but Kylo grabbed his wrist to stop him. Hux was startled but hid it well. 

“No not shy, I’d just rather not get poisoned.”

Hux laughed “Ren, What are you talking about? If you want to role play Romeo and Juliet that seriously just tell me, because I’m sure I can find a dagger.”

Kylo smirked, “You don't have to lie, I know you were trying to kill me.” 

Hux seemed nervous, “what are you talking about, I’m confused.” He shifted backing away from Kylo a little.

“Oh you are quite an actor.” Kylo praised. “That was quite a show, I might have enjoyed it if circumstances were different… maybe I still enjoyed it.”

Hux crawled off of his lap quickly. “Ren, you're scaring me, what are you talking about?!”

“You? Scared? I highly doubt that Armitage.” Hux’s expression changed from one of false concern, to a cold calculating glare as soon as Kylo uttered his first name. Hux had not given him that name, no one knew that name. “Ah there you are. It’s nice to meet the real you.” Kylo said smirking.

“How did you find me? Who are you?” Hux demanded angrily. 

“Ben Solo, FBI, I’ve been investigating the first order's dealings under the Alias Kylo Ren, turns out they’re more than just an organized crime group. But you already knew that.” 

Hux snarled “what do you want from me? Are you going to arrest me? You won’t make it out this door alive.”

“Ha, I’ve already done what I came here to do.” He said, swinging his leg over the side of the bed and coming to stand beside him. 

“What do you mean?” Hux replied, standing as well. His face portrayed no sign of fear, but his body gave it away, the way he seemed to curl in on himself and his hands grabbed at the sheets behind him. 

“The drink you had at the party, roughly an hour ago. The glass was laced with a slow acting poison.” He glanced at the alarm clock on the nightstand. “I’m thinking you have about 30 minutes before the symptoms hit, an hour or two to live. Being generous.”

A look of fear and trepidation came across Hux’s face as the realization sunk in, but he only allowed it to linger a moment before he returned to his stone cold glare, “Heathen!” He yelled. 

“What? Is you poisoning me any better?” Kylo leaned closer to him. “In fact I really should be thanking you. I would’ve never put this much detail into my plan but I know you like your kills slow and discreet. I thought I owed that much to you, so I took a page from your book.” 

Suddenly Hux pulled a dagger out from the sheets of the bed holding it so the tip pressed lightly into the skin of Kylo’s throat. “I’ll kill you, and it won’t be so slow and discreet this time!”

“Careful Hux,” Kylo responded, matching Hux’s own demeanor. “I’m not wired but one press of a button and this place is swarming with federal agents.”

“If I’m already dead it doesn’t matter, I can easily kill you before they get here.” Hux said, dropping his voice to a sinister whisper. 

Kylo laughed. “You haven’t figured it out have you?”

“What?” He asked, his tone icy. 

“Do you really think the government wanted you dead?” He placed his hand on the hilt of the dagger.

“Why wouldn’t they?” Hux questioned. 

“You know too much. Your mind holds the secrets to weapons of mass destruction. You're too valuable a target. They want you alive.”

“So what is this then?” Hux asked, still holding the dagger firmly, pressing down with a bit more force but not enough to cut the skin. “Some moral high ground? Kill me so no one, not even your own government can know the secrets of warfare?” 

Kylo thought to himself. He’d never once thought of that possible conclusion. “That would be admirable, but no.”

“Then why?” Hux’s voice raised in pitch, he was confused, scared. He may pretend to not care if he lived or died but Kylo had seen through that long ago. 

“Because I want something. Something only you can give me. And I knew you wouldn’t give it willingly.”

Hux dropped the dagger. “I can give you a lot of things, you'll have to be more specific.” He did not sound amused. 

“You’re partnership.” Kylo answered calmly, gently lacing his hand through Hux’s soft locks. He leaned in whispering breathlessly into Hux’s ear. “I want to join you, join the order.”

“What?” Hux Couldn’t contain his shock. 

“I have the antidote to the poison.” Kylo explained.  If you let me join you, you don’t have to die. And I don’t want you to die. You’re much too pretty.” He smirked. 

Hux sneered, “Why should I trust you?”

“You don’t have a choice.” Kylo brought his hands about Hux’s waste pulling him close. Hux gasped and turned away. “I’ve studied you, more than I’d like to admit, I know you won’t throw away your legacy for this.” Hux turned back to him the steely glare returning.

“You don’t know me.” He bit out.

Kylol stared down into his eyes, reading his face, taking in every detail, his sharp jawline, thin lips, still slightly stained from lipstick, freckles dotted across his face like stars, small blemishes hidden under layers of makeup giving him an heir of perfection. But the confidence in his demeanor was not reflected in his eyes. Kylo could tell a lot from a person's eyes. “You're embarrassed, embarrassed that I won, you want another chance to kill me. Or perhaps…something else~”

Hux blushed but the expression on his face read of malice. Kylo graced a hand across Hux’s cheek caressing his face tenderly. “Armitage, don’t lie to me. I know you felt it. We weren’t acting. Completely anyway.”

Hux bit his lip and spoke through gritted teeth. “Fine. In approximately 10 minutes this whole building will explode, there’s a body in the bathroom. When the authorities find its charred remains they’ll think they belong to me, successfully faking my own death. If you wish to get out of here alive, we best leave now.”

Kylo’s eyes widened in shock but he smiled. Letting go of Hux. “The whole building? That seems a bit much to cover up my murder.”

Hux was slipping back on the silk robe and finding his heels that had been so unsermonousky tossed on the floor. “I like flair.” He added.

Kylo chuckles. “I’m flattered.”

 “Come now” Hux said, opening the door and leading him out. They made quick work of the stairs, Hux had already rigged it to wear the cameras would not see them, then they exited through a service door stepping into the cold dark of the night, the black pavement glittering in the light of the moon still wet from the rain prior.”

“Where’s the antidote?” Hux demanded. 

“Patience.”

“This isn’t a matter to be patient abou-“

Kylo threw his arms around him pulling him into a tender kiss. “I won’t let you die. I‘ve wanted this for to long. Ever since I started the investigation, you’re all I ever thought of.”

Hux stared back at him, something awakening that hadn’t been there before, his hands reached up and ran along the side of Kylo’s jaw tracing it gently, he was thinking, planning, plotting. Maybe he would kill him, but later, not now. He drew Kylo into a hot passionate kiss. He whispered against his lips “I’ll destroy the world.”

Kylo dipped him back deepening the kiss they’re bodies one. The sound of explosions filled the air, the trees swaying as the venu lit ablaze hot sparks falling down around them as they kissed. “I’ll destroy it for you~”

Summary: Working for The First Order is scary, and your only moment of peace is dinner time, but maybe you need company...

Much is said about how it is to work for The First Order, how incredible the power, leadership, victories and how they are conquering colonies are, but it is the dead soldiers, the different families who lose their children, and their homes.

The workers of the smaller classes of the first order, those who build the ships, the weapons, and the workers who clean the floors of those who don't even look at us, but when they do, it's with a look of contempt, as if we were freaks, or like a One of them said to me once: "You, I bet you're one of those savages that came from the colonies, third world beings, dumb by nature." Soon you can hear the laughter of your companions, I still remember your smug smile and that look: "But I think I've seen you in my homeland before the attacks, you have similar traits to mine, sir." It was the first time I responded to a superior, and probably the last because immediately afterwards I was punched in the face, the shock was instantaneous and the blood ran down my nose staining my lips, the punch was corresponding to a warning, because how did he he said" "Because if I wanted to, you'd be dead already, you bitch."

I think that's where my fear expanded, always being a fearful child, and over the years I only became insecure, after the invasions of the First Order it ended up making everything worse. My father, by a miracle, managed to keep the family together, he started working as a mechanic in one of the facilities, thus pulling me along to work and support the house, sometimes I helped him with repairs on some machines, or carrying parts, as the months went by. I got a job cleaning the ship, that's where my first contact with superiors came from, even seeing the Supreme Leader. It was terrifying, after a long Council meeting, near the cabins you could hear screams and broken machine parts falling to the floor, the noise scared all the employees around.

"Good heavens, not again.." I turn to look at the person responsible for the comment, it was Korys, an old lady who worked with me cleaning this sector: "What... what do you mean again? What's happening in there?". Even before he responded, the doors opened, his furious exit with heavy footsteps disturbing the sound of the environment that was previously calm, now terribly nervous. There he was with his mask, completely distraught, walking with heavy steps, scaring the people around him. Seeing it for the first time gave me a frightening first impression, as if it were death passing in front of me. In addition to the sound of his boots that were loud, my heart accelerated, in my head everyone could hear the sound of him jumping out, I was terrified, I couldn't even move, Korys with her sweet heart, held my hand. When he finally turned to another hallway, I could breathe again: "My dear, you have turned pale, is everything okay?" "I..I'm fine, was that the Supreme Leader?" Tilting his head gently: "That way, who else would be..." "You two, the room is free for cleaning, when you're done, return to your proper duties."

How can I say that the room was completely destroyed, pure fruit of chaos, anger being taken out on machines, at least not on living beings, right? The cleaning took hours, it seemed like it would never end, there were pieces after pieces and there wasn't much to save, everything was in pieces. The window had some scratches as if he had thrown a chair at it, at least it wasn't broken and the view of the starry sky was divine amidst the chaos of this room.

After these terrible episodes, I still stayed in the cleaning sector, I have the choice to leave but I need this job, for my parents, and maybe one day my future family, I think I can get used to it, just stay out of trouble.

A/N- trying to get back into writing, sorry for the disappearance, also there's literally no dialogue in this, and I didn't even reread this, sorry if it doesn't make sense i wrote this at 4am

Pacing back and forth he ignored you calling his name, he always did when he was like this, so stressed that he wouldn't process the things around him, but he had an entire empire to worry about, he had to keep an eye on rebels, uprisings, any form of defiance that didn't come from you was a threat to everything he had worked for, and all of it for you no matter how many times you told him you didn't need the best of the best to be happy he'd never listen, and eventually he'd work himself into an early grave if he didn't learn how to take breaks and relax soon, which is where you come in.

Eventually you got fed up with just calling his name and waving a hand in front of him, he was to far off in his own world, almost as if he was in another dimension entirely. You approach him head on, placing a hand on his chest to get him to stop pacing. He raised his line of sight to meet your eyes, he seemed half present now which was an improvement but still not the goal, he seemed almost lost as he breathing continued on erratically.

He seemed to slowly be coming back to you as you led him over to the couch, having to put pressure on his should to get him to sit, his leg immediately started bouncing. Had you been anyone else he would be showing his stress using anger instead. If there had been any one else in the room when you came running to him they would've been pinned to the ceiling, forcefully quieted. in his eyes no one was good enough to speak in your presence, not even him. You were his empress even if it wasn't your official title, he had plans to insure that it would be, but first he had to secure the empire as a whole. He couldn't just let you represent a failing empire, it had to be good enough for his empress and he was determined to have it ready soon but he kept facing set back after setback. All he wanted was to show you that he could be useful.

He felt like a disappointment, he had failed you, and watching you take care of him felt wrong, if you had known how badly he messed up you'd leave him, he knew you would and he felt terrible for letting you comfort him, he felt like a fraud, in the time it took him to degrade himself and shrink back into his mind you had prepared some tea for him, the kind his mother used to make. It brought tears to his eyes, knowing that you loved him unconditionally and took the time to remember the off handed comments he'd made once upon a time about tea with his mother, sometimes he felt as if you knew him better than he knew himself, you'd sworn up and down that you didn't have any force abilities but he never completely believed you because it felt to him as if you had run through his memories and planted yourself in his dreams.

Your hand on his back brought him back to reality, your touch so gentle he questioned if it was there in the first place. He took the drink you had made him, the warmth in his hands helping to keep him out of his mind. After taking a drink from his cup he set it down and leaned into you with all his body weight causing the two of you to fall back on the couch with him trying to curl into your chest and hide in your neck, he placed his hands on your hips, firm but not painful, he felt as if you'd evaporate if he let go, luckily you had caught on and carded your fingers through his hair, eventually adding small braids once he'd fallen asleep.

You figured he'd take them out before work the next morning but he didn't, he wanted to carry a reminder of you at all times and what better than a piece of him that you had somehow made beautiful in his eyes. Soon enough it became a ritual, every night when he got home from burning worlds and reminding the resistance that they didn't stand a chance he'd sit down on the floor in front of your spot on the couch and you take out the previous days braids and replace them with new ones, often adding small charms and every night he would eventually fall asleep with your hands in his hair just for you to wake him up and lead him to bed where he'd curl against you once again until his coms would go off, demanding he get dressed and go deal with whatever pressing matter presented itself.

Ray is part of a big scavenger found family. Her force powers manifested at a very young age, and while she appears to be a charming and naturally talented jack of all trades, the force does the heavy lifting. Good with tech/engineering. Loves her family. Who are her parents? Doesnt matter

Her first real struggle is when she starts training as a jedi under Luke at some point. Also the fact that Poe and Finn aren't as easily persuaded by her. This annoys her quite a lot because she's meant to be good at everything. She can come off as arrogant and self-assured but she has a big heart

Finn deserves better. We all know this. A medic who witnessed a massacre of a village and refuses to kill, his story mainly revolves around spurring an insurrection of stormtroopers against the empires brutality. He will not compromise on his beliefs. Ordered to be executed but his squad refused to kill him, giving him a chance to escape. Probably a scenario at some point where in order to pull off a disguise he'd have to kill someone but refuses to do it. Maybe force sensitive

Poe is at odds with his family after abandoning his spicerunner roots to join the rebellion. They don't care about the outcome of the war as long as they keep making profit. Poe unfortunately has a moral backbone. Great flyer, terrible shot. Not force sensitive just very stubborn. He and Ray butt heads over plans fairly often. He knows a few maneuvers. Also skilled in the art of negotiation and avoiding getting killed for a late delivery

Phasma lost everything to the rebellion. Her home, her wife, her family. All lost after a rebel supply raid of her home planet. She's driven almost exclusively by rage and desire for vengeance. She views Finn as naive and foolish for believing in peaceful resolutions. Maybe he reminds her of who she used to be. Or her kids. Or her wife. And she can't handle any more reminders of that. She has to crush his spirit to teach him that the universe is cruel and unkind. Finn does not break.

Han & Leia are still together and help lead the rebellion. Well, Leia is in charge, but Han still holds a fair amount of sway, especially amongst pilots

Ben is believed dead after the Knights of Ren raid the jedi temple and kill Luke's padawans. He isn't, but it's better his family think he is. Ben wasn't good enough to live up to the Skywalker legacy anyway. Joins the Knights of Ren instead forge his own path (this is not a good way to go about it).

Luke is still grieving the loss of those kids, guilt weighs heavily upon him and he can't face Leia and Han after failing their son. He retreats to an island and hopes to find peace and the strength to carry on. He also communes with the force. The force tells him Ben isn't dead. That scares him. Absolutely senses Han in danger at starkiller base and tries to save his ass. Jumps at opportunity to train Ray and 'redeem himself'. He's still old though, and he's not as nimble as Yoda was

Hux is still a petty little bitch and rebel spy deep undercover. Friends with Kylo. Or at least the only person able to talk him down who he wouldn't immediately slaughter. Gives good advice. He thinks Kylo should probably go see a therapist for his anger issues but he knows that ain't happening

Your eyes strained in the low light to read the files in front of you.

If you hadn’t been so insistent on reworking the entirety of the medical wing, you wouldn’t have taken on so much extra work. Alas, as the head of the medical department, you’d been first in line for the extra responsibility.

And, at the end of the day, even if your efforts were causing a small stress headache, it was a small price to pay for the hundreds, maybe even thousands, of extra lives you’d be saving.

You shot a quick glance to the glaring red lights of your bedside clock, biting back the sigh you wished to release. Complaining would do the situation no good.

It was the middle of the night, and you were nowhere near complete with everything. Rolling your shoulders, you decided it was best for both your mental and physical health if you gave yourself a little break.

No sooner had you stretched your back out to your full height then an erratic knocking sounded from your door.

Curious, for sure, but you were still on a heavily guarded base in one of the most secure wings, so you were positive there wasn’t any present danger. You swung the door open, holding you breath on the off chance you were wrong, only to release it in a rush at the sight before you.

Kylo, your beloved husband, was staring at you from beneath his tangled, dark hair. His eyes were barely open, like he was struggling with the effort to keep his gaze on you. His lips were twisted in a snarl- partially from frustration, partially from pain.

One hand laid limply at his side, while the other clutched to his abdomen. He didn’t need to move his hand for you to know there was most definitely an unseemly sight lying below.

Quick as you could, and with the discretion you knew he needed, you ushered him into your shared room.

“You’re up,” he acknowledged, his voice more gravelly than normal. “Don’t overwork yourself.”

You scoffed at the worry set in his brow, gently pressing him to take a seat in the same chair you’d been in for hours.

“Missing a few hours of sleep is nothing compared to stumbling in like this,” you told him, shooing his hands away when he tried to keep his wound covered.

He hummed, not quite ready to answer as you stepped away for just a second to grab your med kit.

When you returned, he had already shed a number of layers, giving your access to his bare abdomen. It was, unfortunately, a routine the both of you had become increasingly familiar with.

The med kit was momentarily ignored as you examined the wound, tracing the marred skin with sad eyes. It wasn’t too terribly deep, not to the point of being lethal at least, but it definitely hurt him, if the wince of his shoulders with each shuttering breath were to go by.

“Hold still,” you whispered, beginning your work on stitching him up.

For many, the medical practice of stitching was outdated, and something rarely used. For Kylo, however, it had been a necessity. Maybe it was his pride, or maybe there was some political influence you didn’t quite understand, but whenever he got injured, it was handled with the utmost secrecy.

Not even med droids were employed to help with the process, in fear that the information could be extracted from them somehow.

Kylo, for his part, was being a good patient. He hardly moved with each stitch, his face devoid of any obvious pain.

“I worry about you,” he finally interrupted the silence, just as you’d finished up on his abdomen and began giving the rest of him a once over.

You furrowed your brows, and leveled him with an incredulous stare.

“That’s my line,” you told him, stepping closer once you were satisfied that nothing else required your immediate attention. 

He leaned his head against your chest as you wrapped your arms around him, exhaling the stress of the day. His eyes had slipped shut, and you could see the telltale signs of exhaustion.

If he hadn’t been as bloody as he was, you would’ve just brought him to bed and watched over him the rest of the night. Alas, he was caked in equal parts grime and blood.

Oops :) Gets real under the cut. It's nothing bad though! <3 turns into a gush post near the end~ It's a little long so I get it if no one reads it but I like to voice my thoughts that's all.

Top of the list he goes. He deserves to be there. Not only are his scenes at the end of IX helping me to overcome my fear of thunder and lightning. There's something else.

A few years ago I lost a certain spark. Every ounce of creativity and passion I had shattered. I was always chasing the next "big f/o" that would spark that passion again, that creativity. I never found it and I got depressed for a little bit because I thought I would never find a love as grand as I had before. So my storytelling became nonexistent, I stopped drawing, and the endless thoughts I used to have were replaced with an endless emptiness so I went quiet. I gave up trying to chase something that I thought would never happen again. I was slowly losing myself

I spent a last few years yes, self-shipping and yes don't get me wrong I love all of my f/o but there was something missing, I didn't feel the need to scream every two second about how much I love them, there was just something "off" with myself. I couldn't voice it or the anons would come with their pitchforks "You don't really love your f/o" plus it was hard to put into words. How can you love your f/o but still feel that something is missing?

cut to my sick ass lazing on the couch in the present time. I get an idea, "Hey I haven't watched the Star Wars movies in like...forever- maybe I'll re-watch them all.. then there are the newer ones I haven't seen yet." So I start watching the movies. I had a few interruptions when I was watching VII and VIII but I kept on watching. I thought Kylo Ren's lightsaber was so badass but at the time thought nothing much of Ben himself.

As the days went on I decided to rewatch VII VIII and IX because of said past interruptions be it people or my sick ass having to take meds and stuff. As I do with most things I watch the second time I really consume it. I noticed something. Something different. The very first time Kylo took his helmet off I felt it the feeling that started in my chest and radiated to my stomach.. butterflies? He spoke and there was no distortion from his mask as he wasn't wearing it and I felt my heart skip a bit. what the hell?

the more I watched the more I learned, the more I learned the more I started to fall in love. Do I condone some of the things he's done? No. Do I still love him? Absolutely. After the movies I sort of just sat there on my couch, looking at my own reflection of the tv. "wow, I like Ben huh?" I said to myself then I shrugged. "Ah, fleeting crush and maybe an f/o" Throughout the rest of the day however I couldn't stop thinking about him. Everything from his appearance to how he talked and how he carried himself.

So I decided to run with it. Would it be one of those f/o where I say I'm crushing and nothing happens? Or maybe it will be like my other recent f/o Alex? Talk about him for a little bit but then the fixation dies almost as quickly as it started?

Neither of that happened. I got flooded with endless thoughts, and ideas. Ideas for moodboards, playlists, art.

I got attached to Ben so much, it's hard to explain it but I feel connected to him in a way that I never thought was possible for me ever again. He makes me genuinely smile and I don't mean just smile with my mouth but makes me smile with my eyes. He makes me blush and laugh and feel like I'm on top of the world in such a euphoric state. I actually feel like we're together- like actually. I know it sounds insane but I have every bit of real emotion for Ben. I feel well- in love.

I said I love all my other f/o too and its true and this might sound terrible and believe me I've thought myself as a terrible person but the love I hold for Ben is higher and so much more different than the love I have for the others..

I thought he'd be like a shooting star. A moment of fun but he'd fade away just as fast as he came into my life.

I'm thankful that wasn't the case. He managed to do what I thought wasn't ever gonna happen to me again. He reignited my spark and love and appreciation. I can't say the last time I smiled this much irl and how much I've had my heartbeat fast and the tint rise to my cheeks.

I guess in short...

Ben makes me feel like I'm alive again.

<- I'm trying so hard not to cry as I talk about this but I mean it's true, I've had so much bullshit happen in my life. I've survived so many hardships and awful people. I forgot what feeling alive was, I thought my new normal was to not expect happiness because it will be met with tragedy and I'll be back at square one. Alone and fighting demons in my mind.

Ben has reignited my heart and I am forever grateful for him, I love him so much already and I hold him so incredibly dear. He makes me feel strong, and loved, and passionate- I love him with my entire soul. So deeply that the love extends past the words themselves. It's so much deeper.

@Huxloween Day 1: Bonfire

Kylo watched the flames flicker, an odd sense of calm hanging in the air. Not too far off from him was Hux, who looked just as content in their shared moment.

"It's... quite strange." Kylo began. "We've been out here for a while, and yet not once have you had anything to say about my work performance." Kylo spoke in that usual monotone voice of his, the one that Hux hated. Hux sighed. "I was hoping you wouldn't speak of it. You didn't do terribly for once. This fire is pleasant. You did an almost efficient job of it." The ginger's compliment was a bit backhanded with his phrasing, but Kylo took it. "That's quite the confession." Kylo let out a small laugh of disbelief before continuing. "You flatter me, General."

Hux let out a scoff but didn't wish to encourage Ren by responding to what seemed to be another test of his ire. Instead, he kept his greyish blue eyes on the flames. They reminded him a lot of Ren. Dangerous. Unpredictable. Destructive. Untamed. Yet beautiful. Hux wrinkled his nose at that last thought, deciding that he had to snap them out of the moment before his mind wandered to matters he felt were trivial- like affection of any kind. Especially for Ren, who went against everything he stood for with a purpose. The General cleared his throat and forced his attention away from the dancing flames. "As lovely as this was, however, we need to report back to the Supreme Leader." Hux said, looking down at his comm in a way that told Kylo that their time was now up. This felt right to Hux, not the pointless complication of a rivalry that was already layered in complexity. They'd step onto the ship like normal and bicker again by the start of their next work cycle.

A part of Kylo wanted to stay longer and enjoy the peace he found out here, but he knew it was time to return home. Despite his pause of hesitation, he agreed, turning his sight towards where their shuttle was already awaiting their arrival.

Besides, the village had been on fire for long enough that most of the structures had already begun to fall apart. The fun was over, leaving nothing but ash in their wake. He left in quick, heavy steps with Hux, leaving the raging and uncontained "bonfire" to collect the rest of the traitorous souls trapped within.

A person not liking deliberately unlikable or amoral characters or the things they do does NOT inherently translate to ‘this person needs all characters to be likable/moral’ or ‘this person doesn’t get that sometimes people can do bad things and still not be terrible people or that even terrible people can be compelling characters.’

Like, SOMETIMES that may be the case, yes, but if you’re going around assuming that people are judging you for liking ‘bad’ characters, you might want to keep in mind that you’re making huge leaps of your own if you jump to assuming someone feels the aforementioned way every time someone’s like “I hate Deathstroke/Kylo Ren/random-villain-of-choice, I think they suck” or something like that, y’know?

If you’re willing to go off about ‘its okay to just dislike a character or thing they do, you don’t need a whole moral argument about why,’ please consider if you’re at the same time discounting the possibility that people just dislike a character or thing they do because its MEANT to be unlikable/amoral and sometimes its literally just that deep and not an inch deeper because this is a NORMAL REACTION TO HAVE TO THINGS THAT ARE DELIBERATELY UNLIKABLE AND IT DOESN’T MEAN THAT A PERSON IS SO ‘UNSOPHISTICATED’ THEY DON’T GET THAT BAD CHARACTERS WHO DO BAD THINGS ARE IMPORTANT TO SHOW IN FICTION TOO.

Sometimes it just means.....hey all of that can be true and yet watch me still not like this character who did this awful thing purely on the grounds that I don’t fuck with this awful thing they did AND THAT’S A COMPLETELY REASONABLE RESPONSE TO THEM DOING THAT AWFUL THING.

Like yeah yeah purity culture this and purity culture that but have you considered what the hell’s up with a culture that judges people for being like "I dislike this Star Wars character on the grounds ‘being genocidal does not endear a character to me”?

THAT SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AN UNREASONABLE REASON FOR HATING A CHARACTER HAILKHFKLAHLHFA.

How absolutely wild is it that people are literally out here being judgmental about the mere fact that some people are disgusted by characters who are genocidal or torturers or rapists or what have you? Like, you want to get into it about how various fans treat or react to fans of ‘bad characters’ on a case by case basis, go nuts (though I’ll always lol at anyone who insists that’s a one way street and fans of dark themes/characters are neeeeeeeever the ones going around harassing people, like lmao okay sure, hey self-awareness, party of one, your table’s BEEN ready, please come sit down).

But if our societal perception/reception of fiction so completely waters down our viewpoints on anything and EVERYTHING it depicts, to such a degree that there’s NOTHING that can be written where people won’t be like “why are you having such a strong negative reaction to that/you’re unreasonable for having such a strong negative reaction to that, its just fiction”.....

Then at what point have you completely devalued the point of fiction itself? What use is fiction if a creative medium MEANT to evoke emotion and explore themes has been so thoroughly hollowed out that ALL themes are treated as being banally equivalent and ALL emotional responses are supposed to fit within certain lukewarm parameters lest they be considered unreasonably puritanical or moralistic or judgmental?

Just throwing that out there.

Redar's hardy, harsh and punctilious. He was born and grew up in a successful family in an average capital, he lived comfortably until he was about 14 years old, but at that point things took a turn for the worst.

He lost his home when it was destroyed after a fight which got out of control and was headed for a life of misery. With no one by his side he had to survive in a cruel world. He was found by a Jedi, who offered his help and promised him to become a great warrior. With his vigor and wits, he managed to overcome all odds and overpower anybody who's a hinderance and become a Jedi.

After the Treaty of Coruscant the Jedi Council began looking for Sith infiltrators within their ranks; an actual infiltrator framed Redar’s master as one, leading to his death. Redar was scheduled to be sent to the AgriCorps but the infiltrator instead arranged for him to be sent to Korriban where he was taken captive and, over the next ten years, retrained as a Sith.

He met Obi-Wan during the battle, the tension between them could cut through a knife, but Obi-Wan recognised him, he was a Jedi once after all, eventually the master Jedi started catching feelings for the Sith and tries to see some good within him. Even though he knows that attachment is forbidden for Jedi, he cannot fight his feelings towards his enemy. Redar makes him question his loyalty and that messes with his mind, makes him scattered. But he knows that Redar only needs to say the word and he'll do everything for him and the Sith definitely knows it and takes advantage of it.

Hela Skywalker

Five years after the Battle of Endor, Hela Skywalker was born. Her mother died in childbirth, so Hela was left with Luke, who did his best to give his daughter a good childhood. When Hela was old enough, Luke decided to train her to become a Jedi. In a few months she was able to use a saber and had great combat skills. And a few more time later Luke taught her how to control the force, being Anakin's granddaughter, her force, just like her father's is strong, but it took her a while to fully be able to control it.

Later on she left to join Leia and The Rebels to fight against The Dark Side of The Galaxy. No one knows that she's a Jedi (except Leia and Luke) until Poe figured it out.

Oh and she also had to fight her own cousin, Kylo Ren, who chose the dark side, she'd be lying if she wasn't devastated by that fact since her and Kylo were inseparable as kids and now she had to fight him so he wouldn't be able to kill everyone :)

He lost his siblings and parents during an attack by Separatist battle droids and was headed for a life of misery. He took his father's Mandalorian armour and left his home without looking back. While persued by the authority he had to survive in a vicious world. But with his skills and determination, he managed to overpower anybody who's a hinderance and battle the elements. This has turned him into the man he is today.

While haunted by memories of the past, he now works as a bounty hunter. By doing so, he hopes to support a new, honest life and finally find joy and love for life he has never had.

He met Din and Grogu during a job which, coincidentally, they ended up having together. Din at first was relieved to see another Mandalorian, but his hopes were crushed the second Val took off his helmet, he immediately demanded that Val took off the armour and hand it over to him, since he's not worthy of it. Val of course didn't do any of that, saying that he came from a family of Mandalorians and that the armour belonged to his father. After, what felt like hours, of arguing Val got to keep his armour and decided to join the two, Din wasn't really happy about it but he needed all the help he could get to keep Grogu safe.
