i have a gen loss playlist so the last two was me hitting randomize and drawing a pic based on the song before it finished. the second one technically isn’t that cause charlie’s inferno isn’t on apple music cause they hate me so it’s way more of the song out of spite because they wouldn’t give it to me.

My favorite visual design aspect of the Wittebane brothers is that they look NOTHING alike. They don’t share eye nor hair color, they don’t share face shape, their eyebrows are different, they don’t even share the same nose.

This is very interesting to me because almost every other character that has relatives shares at ALOT of aspects with their bio families, that it’s unmistakable that they’re related. Eda and Lilith are both super pale, tall, slender, and have the same face shape, Amity looks EXACTLY like her mom and her siblings all share the same eye color and nose. Luz is basically just a teen Camila, and even half brothers like Steve and Matt have the same eyebrows.

And you know, that was something deliberate. In a live action setting you can’t always control exactly how your actors will look, but in a cartoon these characters were made to be so different. And their story is so vague that for all we know “brothers” is what they called each other because they had no one else, for all we know they were both abandoned orphans who found a home in each other . And his attachment to Caleb grew due to being the only person who ever showed interest in his well being.

ok ive been thinking about the HG fam au more and. what if since pearl, gem, and impulse were all members of the rebellion, and scar and cub both served king ren (and grian was sort of on that team too) ive bren thinking like, what if the au was set in some kind of corporate dystopia-type setting with Gigacorp as the megacorporation/government and Hotguy and Cuteguy are government-backed heroes while Hotgal and Cutegal are true vigilantes who oppose them. and since Grian also helped the Soup Group what if Cuteguy leaked some of the hotguy tech to Impulse/Gem/Pearl and thats how they were able to reverse-engineer it to become Cutegal and Hotgal. idk. thoughts. runs away

Dude I love this!!! It also works so well with where I am rn cause I did some mostly canon outfit mockups for Scar and Grian and didn't like them cuz they seemed too boring. So I redid them as more fun bug fits. BUT if Cuteguy and Hotguy start off as government funded heros and later turn to Gem and Pearl's team (Grian first then Scar) then they could have the drab outfits AND get fun bug fits for the vigilante team!

Maybe Grian leaking information gets revealed and it's this dramatic moment where they try to arrest him but he escapes and joins Soup Group. And then Scar is left trying to figure out what to do because he trusted Grian! And now he doesn't know how to feel abt Gigacorp OR Grian. Could be really fun!!

aka the timber scouts! they're basically just a bunch of kids in a sort of guild prep-course. so, not a real full official guild, but functions like one. all the kids have different woodland animal gimmicks to go with the scout vibe. They have a very loose shared uniform too, they're pretty much allowed to customize however they want as long as they keep the white button-up, brown outerwear, dark brown bottoms, and brown boots. also like a lot of kids in other guilds, their weapons are toys or otherwise "safter" items. But that's pretty much all! They aren't super deep characters, but more general info still under the cut :p

gojo and eren would throw a full out tantrum when they find out u just have their name with no emojis or anything as their contact name . they’d act like you’ve been cheating on them and u ask them what’s wrong and they’re like “my name on ur phone doesn’t even have a heart???”

Satoru sees his whole government name as his contact in your phone and goes through all eight stages of grief in that moment. Then he gets petty and makes a joke about how you must be trying to hide him from your other boyfriend, and when you keep that same energy and play along, his lips start wobbling and his neck and his red and his fists are balled and now he demands your phone because, “That’s not funny 😐 now you owe me, give it here, I’ll set it myself.” It’s surprisingly not a ridiculous pet name nor 18 emojis; he does remove his last name and add the white exclamation point, the white heart, and the bubbles emoji for good measure. And sets his own ringtone so you know when he’s calling. He needs to feel special.

Eren swears he doesn’t care. He doesn’t have anything mushy for you, save for replacing your last name with his but that’s normal. To him. His contact in your phone doesn’t bother him, it doesn’t. Until he’s drunk and whining into your shoulder about how he was going to call you himself to ask you to pick him up, but he got sad remembering that you have him saved like everybody else, so he had Jean do it instead, and to prevent a drunk Eren from crying a river, you let him add a simple heart to his contact. And maybe took a picture of him with his cheeks wet and red for his contact.

For the ask game, 1 and 29 for anybody you like (or all of 'em if you feel like it haha)

are they associated with a certain color? what color do they wear the most?

I strongly associate all my little guys with at least one color! Elyss is teal/ turquoise of course, like her skin, but also green/brown together, and the almost periwinkle-ish grey of her eyes; Idri is PURPLE, specifically a bright warm purple, or purple and yellow/ purple and gold together; Juniper is brown and pale cornflower blue; Aubree is brown, green, or green/yellow together; Nyssa is pink and spring green; Melliwyk is lavender, but also turquoise, cream, or that luna-moth sort of green I keep accenting her outfits in; Felix is dark red; Kethri is sky blue or orange/yellow together; Tsakesh is silver and blue; and Ambrose is dusky purple, or purple/ pink/ orange/ yellow together (sunset palette!). I don't talk much about Ambrose as a little-played and retired character but I love his palette so much he bears mentioning for the Colors Question, haha

A lot of these associations come directly from wardrobe palettes, but not all of them; Elyss is mostly wearing black and blue these days (her favorite color is deep blue!) and Juniper wears browns and undyed-beiges almost exclusively-- she HAS a blue dress, but she rarely has any chance to wear it. In 'real life' Idri definitely wears lots of different outfits in various jewel tones, but I almost only ever draw her in purple because [jazz hands] I'm a lazy artist and Cartoon Character Wardrobe is very easy, lol.

29. are they associated with any particular element (air, earth, fire, water)?

The gimme here of course is Elyss, my beloved water girl 😌💕 Weirdly I associate Juniper with air pretty strongly, for how earthy she actually is (and how much she hates both flying and heights??). No one else has any particularly strong actual association with any of the classical elements, but if you expand to DnD 'elements' Melliwyk and Elyss are both associated with lightning!
