“Every breath you take, every move you make, every bond you break, every step you take, I’ll be watching you.” - Every Breath You Take [The Police]
Tumblr media
          “I got a new house!”
The message came in one day, where you were just lying around on the couch. It was your day off; something that you had long anticipated after weeks of endless meetings and a barrage of complaints. You had considered resigning a few times before, simply because the pressure was becoming harder for you to bear, but you reminded yourself that a new job might not have the same payment as your current one. You absolutely couldn’t risk losing this job – with such a high salary – and falling into poverty. The apartment rate had increased a few months ago, so it only served as a reminder that you couldn’t make a delicate decision that had the potential of ruining your future.
“Congrats!” you texted back. You were never a fan of long reply, and your friends often complained that you could be too curt for their liking. That, and because you rarely responded to messages. You couldn’t help it, though; you preferred meeting them in person rather than chatting.
A picture popped on the display one minute later, showing a basic two-story house amidst the plethora of verdant trees. There wasn’t anything remarkable from it, aside from a few graffiti that smeared the garage door, but nothing some splashes of paint couldn’t handle. Several holes from old age and termites adorned the door, but that was it.
          “It’s beautiful.”
“I know.” There was a moment of silence before your phone dinged again. “You wanna come over? Feel the fresh air and the like? God knows how you deserve a little break once in a while.”
You pursed your lips. While you had been planning to spend the rest of the weekend cooped up inside your house, there was nothing wrong from spending time with her either. Irene had been your best friend since middle school, and she was the one who introduced you to Kim Namjoon, your future employer. You could at least make an effort to indulge in her wishes; to repay her kindness for helping you through so many hardships.
After all, what harm could be done from a simple sleepover?
Shrugging, you agreed to her invitation and dropped your phone beside you after locking it. You huffed, staring at the ceiling as you contemplated whether you should spend the remainder of the day packing your clothes or procrastinate until there was no time left. Knowing that Irene could be scary when provoked, you quickly got up and headed to your room.
Better to do it now than later.
The next day, you were already prepared with everything and waited in the lobby of your apartment. Irene had promised you that she would pick you up last night. Normally, she was punctual, but it had been ten minutes and there was still no sign from her. Not even a text message. You decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and willed yourself to wait a little more despite the cram that crept up your legs.
A few minutes later, a shiny red car pulled up in the curb. The black window slowly slid down, revealing the woman you had been waiting for. Irene waved from inside the car, her other hand holding the steering wheel.
“Hey, sorry I took so long. There was crazy traffic back there,” she said.
With that sheepish and apologetic smile, you knew you couldn’t stay mad for too long. Still, it didn’t mean you wouldn’t let her off the hook just like that. And because you were feeling rather playful today.
“I waited for almost an hour, you know?” you grumbled as you put your luggage on the backseat. You called the shotgun and pulled the door shut a bit too harsh than intended.
“Oh, come on! It wasn’t even that long.” Irene kicked the accelerator and the car began to move forward. “By the way, how was work? Everything good?”
You groaned. “It was stressful. The clients kept complaining like, why couldn’t they just suck it up and appreciate our efforts?! God, this week was the worst.” You sighed, rubbing your temples to ease the growing stress and frustration.
“I’m sorry to hear that. But hey, look at the bright side! You’ll get to sleep in my new house now.”
          “Yeah, I guess...”
Irene rubbed your arm comfortingly. “It's okay. Don’t let it get to you. I’m sure next week would be the best week.”
You hummed, half pessimistic and half optimistic at the thought. If there was one thing that you learned from being an adult, it was that you couldn't be too hopeful with the future because fate always found a way to screw it up somehow. No matter how hard you worked to prevent that, you were helpless against nature.
“I sure hope so.” you murmured.
The rest of the trip went in silence. Occasionally she stopped to fill the gas, and you used that chance to finish nature’s call and bought some snacks. Other than that, you didn’t make any attempt to talk and Irene was more than understanding with your situation. It was moments like this where you truly appreciated her; how she was able to predict your moods and feelings and never slip in some advice without your consent. Because you often wanted a willing ear to listen to your venting, not lecturing you like some kind of a naïve child.
Sometimes, you considered her as more like an older sister and not just a best friend due to her caring nature.
          “Here we are.”
You jolted awake, flinching at the abrupt exposure of sunlight. Rubbing the crust from your eyes, you yawned and groggily climbed out. You blinked – once, twice – before gazing at the building in front of you. It looked just like in the picture she’d sent; ordinary and a bit more weatherworn.
“So,” Irene sidled up to you, crossing her arms proudly as if she were watching a showcase. “What do you think?”
You pondered your answer for a second before nodding in approval. “Yeah, it definitely looks prettier than in the photo.”
“I know, right?” She grinned, happy that you didn’t comment on the plain appearance despite her awareness of your little white lie. Your effort to be considerate to her feelings was much appreciated, though. “I just need to fix some things and this house will be the comfiest house in the whole country.”
You hummed as you went to unload your bags. She helped you carry them on to the second floor, where she told you that it would be your temporary room. You didn’t mind it, although you did think that it would be a hassle to have to go up and down the stairs every time you wanted to eat. At least, the room was in a slightly better condition.
“My room is here, okay?” Irene said, patting the first door near the entrance. “The kitchen is just down the hallway, adjoined with a bathroom. Your room already has its own bathroom, though. So you don’t need to go downstairs every time you want to take a bath.”
You nodded to let her know that you were listening. “Of course.”
“And this is...” You both went upstairs, where she pointed to a string that dangled on the ceiling. “Is the attic, obviously. I haven’t had the time to check it out yet. Feel free to do it. Who knows, you might find some undiscovered gems in there.” She winked playfully, much to your confusion.
“How much is this house anyway?” you asked after she finished the brief tour. There were too many rooms for you to memorize, thus you decided to stick to the main ones. It wasn’t as if you would venture deeper, with or without her permission.
“Oh, it was a little expensive than I thought it'd be.” She jutted out her bottom lip to express her displeasure towards the fact. “I mean, it’s kind of understandable. It is a big house, after all. Had I gotten it at a low price, I'd be suspicious. But I wished it was a bit cheaper, you know? Am I making sense now?”
“Well, at least you managed to buy it, right?” you murmured, patting her back. You didn't want her to regret her decision. This house might not be the prettiest in the city, but at least it seemed livable. That alone was enough for you. “For this kind of house, having an expensive price isn’t strange at all.”
“... I guess I should consider myself lucky for getting a discount in the first place.” Irene sighed, a yawn immediately escaped her mouth. “I’m tired. I’m gonna take a shower and hit the hay.”
You raised an incredulous brow. “It's still afternoon, though.”
“So? I’m tired and I need to sleep. You can eat the food if you’re hungry or watch the TV, just not too loud. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Watching her figure that disappeared down, you moved to enter your own room. It was rather spacious, with a King size bed pulled up near the window that overlooked the woods. Two nightstands adorned the bed, each has their respective lights. A cupboard stood near a door of what you assumed to be a bathroom, as told by Irene earlier, along with a few hangers attached beside it. There was also a study desk on the right side of the window, dust coated the surface.
You made a mental note to clean up the furniture to ease her work, and because you couldn’t stand dirtiness either. Your parents used to call you messy, while in reality you just didn’t bother to clear up something that would be messed again. Of course, it didn’t mean you liked dusty things.
But it could be done later. For now, you would spend your time relaxing and possibly binge watch some movies. Grabbing a towel from your bag, you slung it over your shoulders and walked towards the bathroom. You figured a nice, long and hot shower would go a long way to assuage the daily distress.
While you were busy doing your things, a pair of dark eyes watched you from the darkness.

BTS Reactions ~ Date Night~[Hyung Line]
I’m actually posting content!?!? ik, right?? And its a long one! This has taken me all month to finally finish, so I hope it turned out good <3  Now to see how long Maknae line takes me...
Links and m/l in my bio~
𝕊𝕖𝕠𝕜𝕛𝕚𝕟
Tumblr media
Date nights are in stone for him. Every Thursday night his schedule was cleared for you and if something came up it’d better get cleared or he would have some words. Same goes for you. Oh, your friends thought it would be nice to go to a movie with you on a Thursday night? That’s cute, better pick a different day though. Oh, your boss needs you that night? Ya, no. They better get someone else. And if they have a problem they can take it up with him.
Some weeks date nights would be the only time you both would have the chance to see each other, so that alone would make him very insistent about it. I think hes the type to really value time together, so he would cherish the nights you had and would do what he needed to to make every one special. In his own way of course. They would start out early, maybe 5pm or earlier if you were both free. He would bring you to his apartment so you both could deescalate from all the chaos of the week prier, he would have groceries delivered so the both of you wouldn’t even have to leave if you didn’t want to. Sometimes he would cook, or you both would cook together. Other nights you would splurge and he would take you out to dinner somewhere nice. Somewhere with a gorgeous view and expensive wine. I feel like he wouldn’t be insistent on “dressing for the occasion” if you were both tired. He’s Jin, he could wear sweatpants to a 5 star restaurant and no one would bat an eye. And he would still call you beautiful if you showed up in pajamas and messy hair.
Whether  you decided to stay in or not he would make sure you had both eaten until you were full and content, wanting to take you back to curl up together on the couch. You would watch something silly together, maybe some bad horror movies, anything you didn’t have to pay too much attention to because you would most likely be talking through it anyway. Talking, wrestling, lots of tickle fights, with sweet kisses in between. Every moment would be carefree with him, every Thursday becoming your weekly getaway from the stresses of real life.  And he would make it a point to be like that, real life could start at midnight and you could talk and rant about your lives then, but Thursdays were vacation.
I also don’t see him letting you leave until morning, whatever that entailed~
𝕐𝕠𝕠𝕟𝕘𝕚
Tumblr media
I doubt he would even call it date night, but that’s what it would be. I see it being spur of the moment, never planned longer than a week in advance unless it was a special occasion. Or unless he planned something in secret. I see it being really casual as well. It could even be the both of you running some errands and grabbing a bite to eat, but you would be together. Whatever you could work into your busy schedules. Sometimes if it was an off day you both had he would want to just sit around and do nothing, but would be more than pleased if you were willing to sit around and do nothing with him.
And I mean nothing. As soon as you were over you would just laze around in his room, never leaving it if you didn’t have to. You might curl up with a laptop on his bed in a pillow fort while he online shopped or something. Listening to a playlist you both put together, breaking away from your devices to chat occasionally. You would both order some delivery and just hope that someone else was home to bring the food to his room so you wouldn’t have to venture out and be social. Some time into the day you would have fallen asleep; all curled up by your laptop, and he would wake you by dragging you into his arms and playing with your hair.  He would tell you how much it meant to him to just be able to spend casual time together with you, even if you weren’t really doing anything.
But on a night out things would be different. You both would go somewhere classy ™.   Classy and quite, probably on an off day too. You’d both sit in a corner by a window so you could people watch in peace. You’d sit and gossip and throw shade for hours over several glasses of wine. He’d tell you about how the wines he was picking were made, or even about the furniture or architecture in the restaurant. I feel like it’d be mostly him talking on a night out, all with his hands (especial after the wine) and he would just be living off of your reactions, however small they might be.
ℍ𝕠𝕤𝕖𝕠𝕜
Tumblr media
(I just reallly wanted to use this gif, and I may have been overly inspired by it. Oops xD)
I feel like he would be the most planed. If its gonna be a date, its gotta be a DATE. Any other night you two were together could be casual, but once he had time on an excuse to go all out that’s exactly what he would do. I could see him making reservations for some place that’s super difficult to get into (I mean not for him cuz hes J-fucking-HOPE but~) Some place you’ve gotta count the 0′s next to the prices to be sure you read that right. He’d already prepare for you freaking out about not owning anything nearly lavish enough to be seen in a place like that. He’d just tell you to go open your closet and once you did there would be this brand new outfit for you, shoes and all. It’d be something booshie like Versace, Gucci,  Yves Saint Laurent etc. He’d take the price tags off so you couldn’t freak out about how much he was spending too, probably also rummaged through your closet months ago just so he knew your sizes. I see him renting a car for him to drive you rather than a driver, something sporty. Once you parked; valley, He walk you down towards the front entrance, his hand at the small of your back. It’d be so godamn fancy that paparazzi would be snapping pictures, and there would be plenty of other celebrity’s around. Probably poses for the cameras, spins and dips you to show you off because he would be proud to be spotted with his s/o so publicly. 100% gonna check the headlines to see the pics of you two once you both ordered.
But most nights you two would just goof around, maybe go to a karaoke night, or go shopping together. Maybe grab some burgers and head over to the company building so he could show you some dances he had been working on. Probably scream with you being extra competitive in an arcade until they kick y’all out at closing xD
ℕ𝕒𝕞𝕛𝕠𝕠𝕟
Tumblr media
Date nights? Nononono. Date Days. Most days I don’t really see him being that into planning either. Prefers to pick a general destination and lets things progress “organically” from there.  I see him showing up at your door on your day off with a couple of bicycles he rented. Maybe a cute bouquet of flowers he may or may not have dropped a couple of times on the way over.  You would usher him inside and ask him how he even got all the way to you with two bikes and one free hand. A story for the ages. After you put the flowers in a vase and kissed him thank you he would already be dragging you towards the door, not wanting to wast any time. He already would have a destination in mind, somewhere quite on the outskirts of town a few miles out. Somewhere you could sit and enjoy the scenery, but close by to some local shops and restaurants he would be excited to visit. You would take the long way there, biking side by side through back neighborhoods and parks, maybe stopping by a lake to chase the birds and goof around in the water while looking for fish.
Once you arrived you would ditch the bikes and stroll around through town. You would shop around and find a bunch of unique jewelry and clothing you would both be dying to add to your collections. Might have to hold him back from buying too much. Mid afternoon he would take you to a nature sanctuary. You would sit out in the grass by a stream among all sorts of trees and flowers. He would hold your hands while you lay back and talked for hours, watching the clouds and just enjoying how peaceful it was. He would share his thoughts and feelings, probably spilling his heart out to you and letting it be known just how much he appreciates the time you had. Once it got dark you would go back into town and find a small restaurant to eat at before heading back home. The way back would be just as care free, basking in the moonlight and watching the stars and headlights passing by. Probably stays the night at your place, and asks for your help returning the bikes come morning~

ALL ABOUT BTS: Know more about the members!
Q. We heard all the members are living together! What do you think is good about living together?
V: How it’s not lonely. While a certain degree of privacy is necessary, it’s better when it’s not boring.
JH: We’ve already lived together for eight years, so they’ve basically become my family. I’ve probably spent more time with them than my actual family. (laughs) I think it’s a good thing that we’re able to be together.
JM: It’s not lonely and more importantly, when we live together with the other members we can talk to each other lots and understand each other better. When you share everything with the others, it’s a lot easier to express yourself and do lots of things. I believe living together was a huge factor of how we were able to advance this far.
Q. Do the members ever fight?
V: Yes! It’s like a sibling fight, so there are no reasons for them in particular.
Q. We heard some of you keep pets, what are you keeping?
JH: There used to be a member who kept a dog at or dorm, but we were away often and felt sorry for it so he stopped keeping it at the dorm. Now it’s just JIN’s sugar gliders.
JM: Sugar gliders are similar to squirrels, but they’re not the same. (laughs) Come to think of it, I’m the only one who doesn’t have a pet!
Q. For the record… do the members ever play together privately?
V: All the time. We talk about silly things and waste time together. (laughs) We go out to eat too. The things we want to eat change every day so we try all kinds of restaurants. ♪
JH: We’ve been living together for so long, everyone has their own plans for our days off. But sometimes we travel together. Once, we all went to Ganghwa Island to watch the ocean and have a barbeque. But lately, we’ve just been relaxing and resting. Because we tend to think about work even on our days off. That’s why we’re trying to rest without thinking about work on our days off. (laughs)
JM: J-HOPE and I often go to the movies or shopping together. The members go out to eat together a lot and if something bad happens or someone goes through something painful we’ll all gather together. Recently, I came to Japan with JUNGKOOK! On Halloween. We were dressed up so no one recognised us at all. ♪It’s tough going to busy places while worrying about being recognised, but I fulfilled my wish to participate in a busy parade, so it was a good experience. (laughs)
Q. Any funny episodes with the members lately?
V: All the members ate together on my birthday. I can’t remember why we laughed or what we talked about, but everyone was eating and laughing and making an uproar. ♪
JM: It’s always fun when everyone gathers together. We ate together on V’s birthday and after award shows.
JH: We’ve been together so long, I can’t think of anything funny in particular! (laughs) But I also have the most fun getting excited at our get-together parties.
About JIN
Q. Tell us which of JIN’s cooking is delicious. ♡
V: Anything JIN makes is delicious. ♡ I don’t think cooking is a simple task so I think it’s wonderful that he’s interested in cooking. I’ve started to gain a little interest in cooking because of JIN.
JM: He makes lots of things. When we were trainees, we used to eat a lot of chicken tenders so he would make us fried rice with chicken tenders. When SUGA was taking his university admissions test, we all made breakfast for him and sent him off together.
JH: The most delicious thing I’ve eaten is the tteokguk [rice cake soup] we eat for New Years in Korea. Tteokguk has different seasoning depending on the region you’re in, but JIN’s tteokguk was really good! He just hasn’t had any time cook lately, so if he does cook for us it’s usually ramen. JIN is the best at cooking among the members. He’s good at using his hands.
About RM
Q. We’ve heard that RM is a Destruction King, is that true? Has he broken anything recently?
V: I don’t know! (laughs)
JM: We haven’t seen him lately.
JH: Whether by chance or necessity, this Destruction King nickname seems to really suit him. (laughs) RM himself doesn’t want to break things, things just strangely break and spill a lot around him. He can be a little careless. For example, a few days ago he tried to grab his bag from the table and bumped a cup of coffee with his bag instead, spilling it everywhere. (laughs) Things like that happen a lot. Do you know what we call those types of people in Korea? ‘RM’.
About JUNGKOOK
Q. Is JUNGKOOK still a cute maknae?
JH: There’s still some maknae-like cuteness left in him, but lately he’s really become an adult in the way he thinks and talks. He’s turned into a fine adult. I especially feel this way when he gives award acceptance speeches and interview responses.
JM: But he’s still our cute little brother forever.
V: No, he’s scary. (serious) He’s actually very strict, despite how he seems. He gets mad when we make mistakes with the choreography. (laughs)
About SUGA
Q. SUGA is well known for sleeping a lot, what is he like in reality?
V: He sleeps. (laughs) He really does sleep a ridiculous amount. How long does he sleep in a day? I don’t know. I have work too, so I can’t always watch over him.
JM: I don’t think that’s true. (laughs)
JH: No, he’s always sleeping. But all the members sleep when there’s a chance to. But I’m the type who thinks it’s a waste to spend time sleeping, so I get up and move around sometimes. I think it’s enough to sleep as much as is required to do our activities, so I sleep at least six hours.
Expose your true selves ♡
V’s true self
JH: He really has a lot of charms. He has a lot of natural talents that you can really feel when he stands on stage. V started learning dance after coming to Seoul, but now he’s really good at dancing. There’s plenty I want to learn from him and I’m looking forward to him in the future too. He was recently selected as ‘The Most Handsome Man in the World’, which was well deserved. Since he really is handsome. (laughs) But he’s not always handsome, he relaxes when he’s at the dorm.
JM: When we first met he was so playful and full of mischief, I thought he was a troublemaker! Even now I think he has a unique way of thinking, but that’s also cute. After living together for so long, I now like the parts of him that made me think “What’s with that?” at first. (laughs) He has a really good personality and is like everyone’s ‘friend’ in the group. Also, while there are some days where he is the most handsome man in the world, there are other days where I think “Is this person really handsome?” (laughs)
JIMIN’s true self
V: To be honest, my first impression of JIMIN was “He’s a little lame”. (laughs) He didn’t seem to have any interest in fashion. But he learned Korean contemporary dance, so he was really good at dancing. Even now, when I see him dancing, I think JIMIN’s dancing is beautiful. I love JIMIN’s dancing. He’s probably the little brother in the group that everyone wants as an older brother. He thinks he’s cool but he’s actually really cute.
JH: As the maknaes, JIMIN and V bring to the group a certain brightness and cuteness. JIMIN has a lot of talent in performances, and while he’s younger, there are times when he’s really like an older brother. He loves mischief but he’s a mature person who thinks a lot. All the members often talk together before an activity or after an award show, and the words JIMIN says then are really deep. He’s younger than me, but I respect him a lot.
J-HOPE’s true self
V: J-HOPE is especially skilled at dancing within BTS, and the first time I met him I thought “This person seems like he’d be good at dancing”. (laughs) He’s in charge of the ‘hope’ of the group, but I think J-HOPE’s biggest charm is his eyes. Because he has really lovely eyes. His eyes sparkle and make the people around him feel lighter. Just being near J-HOPE makes you feel calm and even puts you in a good mood.
JIMIN: He makes a really good first impression, like the kind older brother in the neighbourhood. Like with V, he supported me until I got used to everything. He’s the moodmaker of the group. He’s also the one who listens to the other members when they’re tired. He always leads us in the dance and pulls us up. The parts of J-HOPE and V that I thought were nice before have gotten more and more important to me.

We decide it by discussing it with the company.

Q. What’s your favourite BTS dance?
Mic Drop. Because J-HOPE is super cool. I love the overall flow and sound of the whole song.

Mic Drop. It’s the coolest and the hardest. The choreography is difficult so I said it was the hardest, but it’s fun to dance.
Q. Are there any up and coming fashions that interest you?

Q. How much sleep do you get on average?
Even though there’s lots of time to sleep, I haven’t been able to fall asleep lately. It’s one of my worries.
Q. Do you have a good sleeping posture?
According to the members, I talk in my sleep. (laughs) And I can’t sleep without hugging something, so I use a body pillow. I should sleep hugging my dog? I’d crush him! (laughs)
Q. Any talking habits?
I say もう a lot. [idk what this would be in Korean but in Japanese it has a lot of meanings: now; soon; shortly; before long; presently; already; yet; further; more; jeez; come on]
Q. What do you do before concerts?
Go to the toilet!
Q. What do you do to get rid of nerves?
Drink water.
Q. If you could use magic, what magic would you want to use?
Magic to become happy. If I could use magic I’d be really excited. (laughs)
Q. What praise makes you happy?
Something like “You’re working really hard”.
Q. Any superstitions you believe in?
Rather than a superstition, I try to meet my family whenever I have time. It’s really encouraging!
Q. What do you want to eat right now?
Meat buns! I’ve loved meat buns since preschool. I always whined at my grandma about how I wanted to eat meat buns! (laughs)
Q. Do you use perfume?
I do not.
Question for JIMIN
Q. What did you receive recently that made you happy?
Letters from the members. They gave them to me for my birthday.
Q. Your favourite BTS dance?
I love them all but ‘Best of Me’. It’s a song we collaborated with The Chainsmokers for and I love the choreography and the lyrics are great too! We prepared it for our fan meeting so it’s very memorable.
Q. Dogs or cats?
Ah… I can’t decide this. They’re both too cute!
Q. Where do you wash first in the bath?
From my head.
Q. Sweet or spicy food?
Spicy food. I like sweet foods too, but I like spicy foods more.
Q. Early bird or night owl?
It’s not like I’m doing anything in particular, but I seem to be in better condition at night. And work usually tends to happen at night.
Q. First thing you do when you wake up?
Eyedrops. Because I can’t really wake up easily. My eyesight is bad and I have to wear contacts for a long time so I need eyedrops.
Q. Do you eat breakfast? Or do you skip it?
Depends on the day. When I’m sleepy I skip it, when I’m not I eat it. (laughs)
Q. Do you cook? What are you good at cooking?
Just ramen!
Q. Do you sleep well?
No. I usually fall asleep early morning.
Q. Do you have a good sleeping posture?
I think it’s normal. But I have a habit of scratching my neck when I’m asleep and even wake up bleeding sometimes. (laughs)
Q. Any talking habits?
You should ask the other members about this. I wouldn’t know.
Q. Praise that makes you happy?
They all make me happy. To be honest, any praise will make me happy. (laughs)
Q. What do you want to eat right now?
Hmm… (thinking) Nothing in particular… (laughs)
Q. Any superstitions?
Can I include some negative ones? When I start to think “I’m not used to this” or “I can’t do this” I won’t be able to do it, even when I could have done it normally.
Q. Do you use perfume?
I don’t.
Q. How often do you cut your hair?
Whenever it grows. (laughs) It’s short right now, but I like it long too. The length changes depending on the style I want. I change my hairstyle to match the image of every new album we put out.
Q. Do you collect anything?
Nope.
Q. Which fashion item do you have the most of?
There are three things. Blue denim jackets, hoodies, and slightly oversized long T-shirts.
Q. What do you sleep in?
Can I say this…? Just my underwear. No wait, I wear something on top too. Actually, I wear pajamas! (laughs)
Q. Are you like your mother or father?
I’m like my father in appearance and mother in personality, I think.
Q. If you had to liken yourself to an animal?
A calico cat!
Q. Do you believe in aliens?
I believe they exist. I’ve always loved mysterious surrounding the Earth and space, so I often thought about that kinda stuff. It’s not like something good will happen to me because they exist, but doesn’t the thought of them existing make you happy? (laughs)
Q. Who influenced your dance?
There are so many people. All the Korean senior artists I watched while growing up, Chriss Brown, Usher… countless people!
Q. What’s the hardest BTS dance?
There’s a lot, but if I had to pick three then ‘Best of Me’, ‘Mic Drop’, and ‘Blood, Sweat & Tears’. The choreography is difficult and requires a lot of stamina.
Q. Where do you get inspiration for your dance from?
From the artists I watched as I grew up.
Q. Do you give your own input in the dance?
If I had to participate in the choreographing, I’d watch until the dance was completed to a certain amount before doing so. Then I’d look at it and point out what areas needs to be improved or which parts might be a little difficult to dance. I’d participate by giving my own opinions.
Q. Tell us about the time you collaborated with your good friend, SHINee’s Taemin, at the end of year music festival.
We got close these last few years, and in 2016 we had the opportunity to collaborate for an end of year music festival. It was really fun dancing together! I was really excited about as I practiced, wanting to make it a good memory. But our schedules were difficult to match up and we were only able to practice together two hours before the show, which was unfortunate. If we had more time, it might have been more fun.
Question for J-HOPE
Q. Where do you get your dance inspiration from?
Dancing is the act of expression music through your body, so I get the most inspiration from when I’m listening to music. Or rather, in my case, I start to think “How would I express this song through a dance?” and receive inspiration to create a dance that way.
Q. What present were you happy to receive?
The breakfast my mother made for me. There was a big present next to it, but I normally live in the dorm so I can’t always eat her food.
Q. What do you sleep in?
I always sleep in pajamas.
Q. Are you like your mother or father?
My face is like my father and my personality is like my mother.
Q. If you had to liken yourself to an animal?
Sometimes I’m like a chipmunk and sometimes I’m like a horse. (laughs) When I’m cute I’m like a chipmunk but when I’m trying to be cool I think I look like a horse. (laughs)
Q. Do you believe aliens exist?
They do not!
Q. Who influenced your dance?
I used to dance street dance when I was young, so I have a lot of emotional attachment to dance. I also know a lot of dancers. I was part of this dance team called Neuron in my hometown in Gwanju, and I learned how to dance there. When I came to Seoul I learned from a lot of dancers at a dance school called LEVEL 6, but the one that influenced me the most was LOCKING ONG. I was also influenced by Park Eun [not sure of name].
Q. What’s the hardest BTS dance?
The more time passes the more I feel like ‘Blood, Sweat & Tears’ is the hardest. It requires skill and care all the way to your fingertips, and it’s a song that requires acting, so it's very difficult. There are so many important components to it. The maknae line, JIMIN and V and JUNGKOOK, are particularly good at this song, and it’s thanks to them that we can have a good performance. And me as well, of course. (laughs)
Q. Do you sleep well?
I sleep very well. I can fall asleep in about 40 seconds.
Q. Do you have a good sleeping posture?
I don’t know if it’s good or bad, but I have a habit of scratching my body.
Q. Any talking habits?
I often say “Uuuuuh” when I’m thinking. (laughs)
Q. What do you do before concerts?
Go to the toilet!
Q. What do you do to get rid of nerves?
Stretch my body.
Q. If you could use a magic, what magic you use?
Teleportation! I want to go to all kinds of countries.
Q. What praise makes you happy?
I want to be told, “You’re still so cool after all this time”.
Q. Any superstitions?
None.
Q. What do you want to eat right now?
It’s not a food, but water!
Q. Do you use perfume?
I do. I used to like the smell of soap, but lately, I like using wood perfume.
Q. Do you like having long hair? Or do you cut your hair often?
I want to cut my hair once a week.
Q. Who decides your hair colour?
We decide by discussing it with the company.
Q. Do you collect anything?
Sneakers and figurines. I have a lot of cute figurines.
Q. What fashion item do you have the most of?
Sneakers.
Q. What did you do in your free time recently?
Stayed at home and rested.
Q. Favourite weather?
Snowy days.
Q. Favourite season?
Winter.
Q. Dog person or cat person?
I’m a dog person.
Q. Where do you wash first in the bath?
I wash from my head.
Q. What do you do first when waking up?
Go to the toilet. (laughs)
Q. Do you eat breakfast? Or do you skip it?
I’m trying to eat it more these days. For better health!
Q. Tell us your top 3 favourite foods!
Korean meal sets, fried chicken with spring onion, tiramisu.
Q. Do you cook? What are you good at cooking?
I don’t cook.
Q. What do you like to drink?
Just water.
Q. Sweet or spicy food?
Sweet!
Q. Early bird or night owl?
Night owl.
Q. Do you have a driver’s license?
Yes. I got it around two years ago.
SHOOTING by BTS
Q. What kind of album is FACE YOURSELF, releasing in April?
JM: It has the Japanese versions of our Korean songs from LOVE YOURSELF: HER as well as two new original Japanese songs, so please listen to them all.
JH: The original songs are the biggest point. We had fun recording them and the songs are also wonderful so we’d love for everyone to hear them. The songs we’ve released in Korea until now have been re-recorded in Japanese, which gives them a new charm.
V: We’d love for everyone to feel the atmosphere of the new album.
Q. How is it different to your other albums until now?
V: It has our first winter song!
JM: It’s an extension of our Korean album LOVE YOURSELF: HER. I think it became a very unique album.
JH: In that way, it’s a completely different work to our others until now. The album has the theme of directly facing reality and taking Spring Day as an example, spring is the season of new meetings, the time of your life when you’ll stand at a crossroad. Like that, each song holds a different meaning and comes together as an album. I don’t really know what I’m saying anymore (laughs), but at any rate, it’s definitely a really good album!
Q. Tell us your favourite song on the album!
V: Crystal Snow for me. It’s a really great song! The melody and lyrics are wonderful and it’s definitely a song to listen to in winter. Ah, but it’s almost spring so maybe Spring Day!
JM: Crystal Snow for me too. It’s BTS’ first winter song and the song itself is super nice. I think this song would suit the tastes of people in Japan. When I listen to Japanese songs, there are many acoustic songs with a similar feeling to this so it may suit the Japanese landscape and culture. I hope you’ll listen to it at any time! But it’s best to listen to it when you’re alone.
JH: I like Spring Day, it’s perfect for the season we’re in right now. I get the feeling that no matter how much time passes, this song will be repeated a lot. We sang this song with the feeling of wanting someone to stay through the cold winter until the warm spring comes. Ah, that’s my part, by the way. (laughs) Like it says in the lyrics, no matter who you love it’s a song that echoes in the heart.
Q. Were the Japanese lyrics difficult?
V: The Japanese lyrics weren’t difficult. But I had trouble with the recording itself. Since the key was so high. (bitter smile)
JM: The pronunciation and song was a little difficult for me but while I was recording I felt how good the songs were all over again.
JH: In my case—for example with Spring Day especially—the songs required a lot of emotions while singing, so I’m glad I was able to immerse myself into that world even in Japanese without a problem.
Q. Please give a message to the fans who are eagerly waiting for your album!
V: We’d like to proudly tell our ARMY that our 3rd album is coming out. ARMY have probably been waiting for our album. We’re so full of gratitude at how they’ve always been waiting for us and there are two new original songs this time so please love them a lot!
talk: JIMIN/J-HOPE/V
Q. Your popularity around the world has exploded, but what do you think?
JM: We never imagined we’d be so loved. We really want to express our gratitude to the fans who love us, to our ARMY. We’re so grateful we’re not sure how to express these feelings properly, but we’ll work hard to try return as much love as we received back to you.
JH: My honest feelings are something like “Is it possible to be loved by this many people?” (laughs) Especially recently, when I stand in front of everyone I go from “!” to “?”. I give it my all so that I don’t disappoint everyone. I have these thoughts the most when I stand on stage. Going around the world on tour, standing on all sorts of stages, meet all kinds of audiences has really made us feel loved by people from all over the world.
V: Firstly, I’m so happy and so grateful that I’ve received more love than I deserve. That’s how much I can feel everyone’s support, thank you very much.
What the staff saw! V’s true self
The way his adorable expressions constantly changed was like a puppy. ♡ He passionately spoke about his love for meat buns during the interview. Apparently, he likes the regular flavour.
What the staff saw! J-HOPE’s true self
He had a charming smile and made the atmosphere much brighter by just standing there. A complete reversal to his serious impression when talking about dance.
What the staff saw! JIMIN’s true self
His gentle smile left an impression. His face after being asked if he was a dog person or cat person was extremely cute. ♡

Hogwarts Express | Jimin
Tumblr media
Pairing: reader x jimin ft. Taehyung | Hogwarts AU
Genre: fluff
Summary: You were nervous to delve into the unknown Wizard world, but luckily for you, Jimin was there to help.
A/N: I’’ve been drowning in Harry Potter & BTS AUs lately, so I decided to finally write one. This was inspired by this . I orignally planned a one-shot for this, but decided that it’d be best to write sort of like an intro for it. So consider this a prologue. It’s not that eventful, but it’s the start to the relationship between Jimin and the reader. Also, this is set after the events that occurred in Harry Potter.
Word Count: 2,929
Other Slytherin Jimin AUs: Sorting Hat | Expecto Patronum |  The Howler
“Platform nine and three quarters.” You whispered to yourself as you stared down at a map. It was given to you along with your Hogwarts acceptance letter to help you find your way to the train. According to the map, you were standing just in front of it. But instead of a train or sign with the correct platform number, you found yourself standing in front of a tall, red brick pillar.
“Are you sure it’s here, sweetie?” Your mother asked. She was just as confused as you and worried, very worried. You could tell by the tone of her voice that what she was really asking was: “Are you sure you want to do this, sweetie?”
Ever since your first Hogwarts acceptance letter, she’d been skeptical. You say first, because it took many letters for your parents to finally be convinced that Hogwarts wasn’t a scam and very much real. They’d tuck away the letters from your view until one night, a parliament of owls came storming into your house, dropping off dozen copies of the same letter along with books and guides to the Wizarding world. Books that you immersed yourself in for the past weeks to prepare yourself for this day, but seemed to be of no use, considering you couldn’t even find your way to the Hogwarts Express.
“I asked the security guard and he laughed, saying there’s no such thing. You should’ve seen the look he gave me when I asked.” You heard your father’s voice as he approached you.
“Sweetie, let’s just go home.” Your mother said as she wrapped an arm around you, steering you away from the brick pillar.
“Muggles?”
You turned around and were faced with the sight of a beautiful family of four. Both the mother and father stared at you and your parents in a curious and fascinated manner, as if they had never seen people like you. But you couldn’t say much about it, considering you stared back at them in awe. They all seemed ethereal and carried a heavy, graceful aura. You could sense that they were powerful and most likely a respected family in their society.
Your gaze lingered on the two boys, particularly the one who had caught your eye the moment you turned around. He seemed to be around your age. He had fine silver hair and mesmerizing light colored eyes just like his mother. The younger boy had raven black hair and dark wide eyes and he stood beside the silver-haired boy, smiling at you timidly.
The silver haired boy smiled sheepishly as he met your eyes and quickly turned to glare at his mom. “Mother, you don’t just greet people like that!”
“Muggles?” Your mother muttered under her breath. She had no idea what the word meant, but it was clear to all of you that she was offended.
You smiled up at your mother in a reassuring manner, hoping she’d read the look in your eyes before she acted irrationally. Tugging her hand, you stood on your toes to whisper in her ear: “Muggles is a non-derogatory term used to describe people who can’t practice magic.”
“Pardon my manners, I’ve never been face to face with ordinary people like you.” The boys’ mother explained herself. “I’m Park Sowon. This is my husband and these two are my lovely boys—Jimin and Jungkook. It’s very nice to meet you.”
Mrs. Park held out her hand in a polite manner to your parents. Her interactions were a bit awkward, but you knew she meant no harm. She was simply curious and you didn’t blame her. You were just as curious toward them as they were to you.
“Our Jiminie,” Mrs. Park rested her hands on the shoulders of the silver-haired boy, whose cheeks began to tint the same color as the red bricks beside you. She wore a proud smile on her face as she spoke. “He’s also a first year and he’d be more than happy to show you the way to platform nine and three quarters."
“That’s very kind of you.” Your father replied, grateful for the help. Unlike your mother, he was more accepting of the idea of you being a witch. He knew just how much this meant to you, so he was willing to encourage you every step of the way  and help you as much as he could. “We’ve walked around this place multiple times. You’d think the instructions would be clearer for people like us.”
You stared at Jimin, waiting for him to say something but found him staring back at you. The two of you stared at each other in awkward silence. He seemed a bit shy to speak first. You, on the other hand, couldn’t think of anything to say. It wasn’t until his younger brother, Jungkook, pushed Jimin forward that the older boy snapped out of it. “Hi, I-I’m Jimin. It’s nice to meet you…?”
“[Y/N].” You replied.
“[Y/N].” He repeated with a kind smile that reached his eyes. You found his smile both adorable and contagious. It was the kind of smile that made you feel warm and at ease.
**
The train glided into the station with a loud and powerful roar, casting a shadow over platform nine and three quarters. Wizards and witches of all ages, buzzed with nervous excitement as the train’s doors noisily screeched open. Parents bid their anxious children farewell, wishing them luck, especially to their first years. The new school year was about to commence and although it brought joy and a sense of nostalgia to many, it installed distress and fear onto others.
You happened to fall in a category just in between—a good mixture of fear and joy. You stood at the edge of the pavement, staring straight ahead into the open doors vacantly. Jimin and his family were close by, but you decided to give them their space as they said their farewells just as they had done with you and your parents.
You found it strange how everything you had come to know for the past twelve years of your life was beginning to crumble apart before you in a blink of an eye. This world was completely new to you and unlike anything you’d ever imagine. It made you question whether you were dreaming or not.
However, the fluttering and churning feeling in your stomach was there to remind you that this was real. Despite being born to normal human beings—muggles, as they’d like to say—you were born with the gift of magic. Something that was common in the wizard world, but definitely rare in your world.
“[Y/N], are you coming?”
You snapped out of your thoughts and looked over at Jimin who smiled sweetly at you. He stood in front of you, obscuring your view as he extended his arm toward you. You took it and followed his lead, not looking back at the world you were leaving behind.
As the two of you walked down the long corridors of the train, your eyes wandered around in awe.  The train was much more spacious than you thought it would be and people of different ages surrounded you. A boy with dirty blonde hair strolled down the corridors, a huge stack of magazines titled The Quibbler in his arms. He smiled politely at everyone he passed by, handing them a copy of the magazines. He handed both you and Jimin one as well.
“Thanks.” You told him as you looked down at your copy. The cover was very intriguing and filled with captions such as “unfuzz the story” and “wizarding world’s alternative voice.”
“That’s Lysander Scamander. His grandfather is Xenophilius Lovegood—the editor of that magazine. It’s full of a bunch of odd articles and conspiracy theories.” Jimin explained before you could even ask. “I’d read it at your own risk.”
“Interesting.” You nodded as you stored the magazine into your bag.
“About what happened earlier, I’m sorry. About my family, I mean. My parents rarely step out of our world, so they’re always fascinated by mug-humans.”
“You can say it, you know. I won’t be offended.” You reassured Jimin. After all, it was just a term to describe normal people. It’s not like it was meant to be discriminatory in any way as opposed to other words you’d read that wizards called normal humans.
“It’s just your parents seemed upset, so…” he trailed off as he searched for a cabin that had room for the both of you.
“They’re just worried. They don’t think I’ll fit in this world.” You confessed as the churning feeling in your stomach returned. As much as you liked to believe otherwise, you couldn’t help but share the same worry as your parents. What if you didn’t fit in? Everything you’ve learned of this new world came from books and the sketchy websites you found online that claimed to have solid information on wizards.
Jimin sensed your distress and came to a halt, turning his head to properly look at you. “You’ll fit right in.”
“I sure hope so.” You mumbled, not expecting him to hear you.
“Of course you will. Consider me your personal guide. I’ll teach you everything you need to know.” Jimin replied—his tone determined. He still hadn’t let go of your hand since the two of you boarded the train and it wasn’t until he gave it a reassuring squeeze that you realized it.
“You belong here just as much as I do.” He added as he led you into a cabin that was empty. You were glad he was too busy situating himself into the small space to notice the blush in your cheeks or the stupefied expression on your face at the sincerity of his sentimental words.
 **
Jimin stayed true to his word. He answered every single one your questions eagerly and you were surprised he hadn’t been annoyed. He explained the four different houses and what to expect from the sorting hat in much better detail and reassurance than the books you’ve read. He didn’t admit it, but he secretly hoped you two would be sorted into the same house.
Your questions varied from general ones to personal ones.  You were curious about how it was to grow up in a family of wizards and Jimin was more than happy to answer questions related to his family. You had been right about your first impressions. Jimin’s family was one of the most powerful families in the Wizard world and had great prestige. You learned that his family consisted of pure bloods—wizards and witches that had pure magical heritage—and that almost all of them were sorted into Slytherin.
“Do you think you’ll be sorted into Slytherin?” You asked him.
“Of course.” He replied, almost certain of his fate.
“But you’re so kind.”
Jimin chuckled as he turned to look at you, a twinkle of amusement in his eyes. “I don’t know if I should be flattered or not.”
“Huh?”
“I can assure you that whatever it is that you’re thinking of Slytherin is wrong. Not all of us turn into evil, dark wizards. I mean, I won’t hide the fact that some of my relatives were a part of Voldemort’s-“
You gasped in shock, your hand flying to your mouth. Although you weren’t there to personally experience the horrors He-Who-Most-Not-Be-Named had committed, hearing his name in person sent shivers up your spine. “I thought no one was supposed to say his name!”
“Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself.” Jimin said, as if he were reciting something. “Anyway, some of my relatives were part of his clan—death eaters, they called themselves. I won’t hide that fact, but I also won’t hide the fact that Slytherin was the home to Merlin, one of the greatest wizards of all time and to Regulus Black, a wizard who sacrificed his life to help take Voldemort down. And soon, it’ll be my home, too.”
“I’ll show you that we, Slytherin, can also be the kindest and best wizards of all time.” Jimin concluded, flashing you a confident smile as he puffed out his chest in a cliché, heroic stance.
You giggled, captivated by his charming personality. “I believe you, Jiminie.”
His smile morphed into a sheepish grin and a light blush rushed to his face at the sound of his nickname. A nickname he despised very much, but there was something about the way it rolled off your tongue that made him not hate it as much. He almost liked it. Almost.
“What house do you think you’ll be sorted into?”
“I don’t know. I just hope I can fit in well.”
“Don’t worry. You will.” He told you. He sensed the anxiety in your tone and decided to change the subject to keep you from worrying too much over trivial matter. “You want to hear a funny story?”
You eagerly nodded your head and immersed yourself into Jimin’s story about the time he was worried he’d be a squib—someone who was born to two wizard parents but had no magic in them—because his younger brother showed signs of yielding magic much earlier than he did. That worry soon faded when he accidentally gave his younger brother bunny ears that lasted a whole week after a stupid argument over which Quidditch player was the best.
You found yourself at ease with Jimin and told him of your own strange occurrences such as when you miraculously stopped a ball from hitting your face during gym one time. Shortly after, the cabin the two of you sat in was joined by another boy, who got tired of listening to gossip the third years he originally sat with kept talking about.
His name was Kim Taehyung. He was also a first year and a muggle-born just like you. Although he was fairly new to the Wizard world as well, he showed no signs of worry or of being nervous. His excitement was a bit overwhelming but infectious and you soon found yourself just as excited and happy as him. He was such an easygoing person that it was impossible not to like him.
To occupy yourselves with something fun on the long way to Hogwarts, Jimin introduced the two of you to all the strange wizard candy the Hogwarts Express had to offer. You couldn’t fathom why people would consume candy that’d make you float like the Fizzing Whizzbees or the acid pops that’d make a temporary hole in your tongue. When Jimin asked about the best candy the human world had to offer, all you and Taehyung could come up with were pop rocks.
Among all the candy you tried, your favorite were the chocolate frogs. Although you were a bit hesitant to eat something that seemed very much alive, you were delighted to see that they tasted sweet and delicious—nothing like the frogs they looked like. They tasted better than any other chocolate you’ve had before and to top it off, the collectible card that came with your chocolate frogs was none other than the famous muggle-born witch, Hermione Granger. According to Jimin, chocolate in the wizard world had mood-enhancing properties and was the best remedy to cure a bad day.
Before you all knew it, the sun had set and it was only a matter of minutes before you’d reach Hogwarts. The three of you were in the process of playing your own safe version of Russian roulette with Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour beans. They were similar to jelly beans, except you learned the hard way—or should you say the disgusting way—that Bertie Bott wasn’t exaggerating when he said his beans were every flavor.
“Yuck!” You sputtered, face twisting in disgust as you spit out the half-chewed bean into the nearest napkin. “Dirty sock!”
“Sweet!” Taehyung snickered in amusement.
Jimin laughed at your reaction, throwing his body and leaning against Taehyung for support as you grimaced. You soon found yourself laughing as well. Not out of your own expense but because Jimin’s laugh had a slight squeak to it and was so adorable that it was hard not to laugh along with him.
Taehyung was the first to break away from the laughter as he glanced out the window. “Woah.” He murmured, completely amazed.
You turned your head toward Taehyung’s directions and soon enough, the three of you found yourselves gazing out the window as the Hogwarts castle came into view.
You were at a loss for words. You had seen it before in photograph in one of the many books that was delivered to you, but the picture did not do this castle justice at all. It was huge, wonderful and beyond all of your expectations.
You pulled your gaze away from the window to glance at the two boys that were still left open-mouthed at the sight. The two boys that you had bonded with so easily in a matter of hours. Jimin who was genuinely kind and considerate and Taehyung who was friendly and daring. They were both so good to you.
A genuine smile formed on your face and the dark shadow of fear toward this new world that loomed over you hours ago was long gone. It had faded into a spark—a small spark that was ignited by no other than Park Jimin and further incinerated by Kim Taehyung. You would adjust to this new world, and the most comforting part of this all, was that you wouldn’t be alone.

STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES:
「strengths」
dance. having started dancing at the age of four, it’s no surprise he finds the most passion in it as well as talent. he’s well versed in multiple styles of dance including street, concert, jazz, funk, tap, ballet, and ballroom. though, most of his talent lies in hip-hop. also setting him apart from others in the business, he has experience choreographing.
personality. externally, he’s easily seen in groups and tends to captivate whoever is on the receiving end of this personality. not only this, but he exceeds in front of cameras and it’s clear that in time, he will be easily related to especially by international fans. internally, he has a positive mindset that keeps him consistently motivated and lives with the belief that things happen for a reason; when he finds himself feeling down, anxious or tired most of the time he is able to find meaning in it.
live vocals. despite late entrance into vocal lessons, he has been performing and singing since he can remember. after so many years he’s polished his voice enough to stay consistent, but still has the raw element that easily captivates and draws emotion from his audience. one of his most notable compliments vocal wise has always been the emotion in his voice and how it’s heard when he sings.

emotions. like the reason he left the line up for 360°Z would suggest, he’s had issues with emotions and his mental health in general getting the best of him. feelings like home sickness and his general struggle with anxiety may make him work harder at first, but usually in the end ends with him freaking out and overexerting himself rather than push him to be better.
vocal range. he started vocal lessons at ten, a huge difference in comparison to his time in dance. his range is generally good, though up against many of his seniors and even fellow trainees he doesn’t have a comparable range. he has trouble breaking past the restraints of his voice despite the fact many of his coaches have seen potential for growth in this area.
approval seeking. there has never been a time he hasn’t strived to impress other people. even a lot of his personality has stemmed from his need to be liked. other peoples opinions affect him and he’s prone to changing things about himself to please others. in a profession where you are constantly being critiqued not only by fans, but also your superiors, peers, and the public as a whole it’s an extreme weakness, and most of the time he doesn’t realizing he’s bending to get other’s approval.
BIO/PERSONALITY:     ( trigger warning for anxiety, panic attacks, and mention of alcohol/drug use )
「The choreographic process may be divided into three phases」       — GATHERING THE MOVEMENT MATERIAL.
a boy and his schoolyard crush, finding comfort and love in each other years after classes have been over. running into someone you loved in high school and reconnecting is rare, and they rush into spending the rest of their lives together. their joy over getting pregnant only two years later is in describable, giving birth to a baby boy. they name him haneul, their little gift from god. haneul is six months old when his mother’s symptoms begin showing up. his father notices the way she’ll forget the little things, before it grows into something more. she forgets where she left haneul, whether she fed him. she forgets the things she’s known for years, mental changes as well as behavioral.  his father knows by the time his son is two they can’t take care of him when he comes home from work to find him out in the rain, his wife sleeping upstairs with no memory of leaving him outside.  jun haneul is put up for adoption the following month, a new home with foster parents, ones that can be there for him when his parents can’t.
he meets maryanne and robert walsh for the first time the next year, when he’s three. his earliest memory, though in fragments, is the way they ran to hug him after he’d gotten off the plane in america, his sponsor letting go of him so he can meet the people who adopted him, his family. three older brothers and one older sister.  it seems like it’d take him longer to adjust, a new country, a new language, new people. but his family showers him with so much love and care that it doesn’t take him long to warm up to them, to open up and play with his siblings. he considers them his parents, his family, easily.
      — DEVELOPING MOVEMENT INTO PHRASES. ( a phrase, loosely speaking, is a series of movements bound together )
( I. ) he hasn’t been living with the walsh’s but a few months when he finds out his new best friend julia takes dance classes, and when he comes home from her house that day he’s immediately begging to his parent’s, deciding his career aspiration is ballerina. of course, they give in, signing up for ballet and tap dance classes with his friend. his first passion turns into something broader, and as he gets older he finds his passion lies within more than just ballet, it’s dance. after school he’s at different classes—hip-hop, jazz, anything they let him take, he took—or coming to play around with the older dancers. ( II. ) his mom notices the symptoms when he’s nine, and before a dance recital tells her he’s worried about an earthquake when he’s never even experienced one. she writes it off after soothing him, thinking it could just be performance nerves. but the worrying gets worse. from vomiting on test days, to trembling while in cars, to the increasingly sleepless nights he’s going through. a year after she notices the first sign, he’s diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder by both her and another psychiatrist. ( III. ) middle school brings a new interest, kpop. from bands like heart2heart to diamond, he hangs their posters on his walls and follows the fansites, talking his parents into driving out of state just to see concerts. he’s never had a real desire to explore his heritage, but the further he gets into his love for the music industry there, the more he has a desire to be embrace where he’s from.
( IV. ) high school is the strangest of them all, going to advanced classes while trying to juggle dance and clubs. it’s hard, but he manages it until his sophomore year. when he goes to take his drivers test, he has a panic attack, locking himself in the bathroom and crying until his sister comes back to get him. it’s rare that he gets so caught up in his worries that he loses his grip on what’s going on, and it’s his first major breakdown. ( V. ) the next year, he drops his advanced placement classes and leaves all his extra-curriculars except dance. he doesn’t tell his parents about anything but the classes, instead he uses the time he’d usually be at theater or anchor meetings to stay out late. he starts going to parties, getting into drinking and smoking. he chooses to do instead of think like he always has. ( VI. ) it takes him three months, a powerpoint, and testimonies from his friends and siblings to convince his parents to let him audition. he’s set on crystal media. two of his favorite groups originate from the company, but his parents force him to look more into the companies than just the idols he likes from them. it falls between galaxy entertainment and crystal, finally deciding to go with galaxy for their music current music style.
      — THE FINAL STRUCTURE.
his audition turns into a private meeting, and then finally an acceptance. he’s ecstatic, and he doesn’t think of the negatives in his plans. training is more rigorous for his voice than he thought it would be, but he’s spent years perfecting his dance and his body. his worries don’t fall on how he’s exhausted himself, he can handle exhaustion and sleepless nights. he can handle working on school online and taking korean classes all night, and spending his time training in the day. he wants to prove himself, show that he can keep up with the people who have been training for years. and he does, until emotions catch up to him.  he manages to stay intact until he’s officially mentioned in the rumors for 360°Z. he’s worked with them for the past few months, knowing he’s getting ready to debut. he’s excited, he likes them, but then worries consume him. the fact he’s away from his family, the fact he hasn’t slept a full night since coming. the breaking point comes with the attention he gets, how within a day people have found his social media, every video he’s ever been in. he knew it was coming, he himself had once been one of the fans who would look for anything he could find about an idol, but surreal feeling of it actually happening was a drastic change from his expectation. in the middle of a dance practice he feels his chest tighten, and he can’t breath. he doesn’t know when he loses reality, but when he comes back the music is off and people are staring at him. the only thing haneul can think to do is run to the nearest bathroom. he manages to explain the first panic attack away, but when he has the second one, no one lets him explain it away. he’s had little ones, but never any as difficult to get through as those and his friends, his manager-to-be, everyone can tell he isn’t okay. after conversations with his parents, and his superiors, it’s decided he’d be removed from the line-up and would go back to training until he, and the company, felt he was ready to debut.
