hiii, if it's not a problem, can I request seventeen's reaction to their s/o being adored by cats? like, every time they go on a walk, there's at least one kitty that comes to them and wants to be petted
love your work!!! 😊
Ahhh not a problem at all! This sounds SO freaking cute I'm so excited to write it <33
Warnings: it's gonna be cute af, cats lmao
p.s: bc im writing about cats I wanna show off my babies ~ the Tuxedo is Shadow and White Cat is Stewie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ღ S Coups:
omg Seungcheol would get heart eyes everytime a stray cat came up to you and rubbed up against you. You both would be doing your daily late night walk and an orange tabby would run straight to you you would drop Seungcheol's hand just to give the tabby some attention. Even though Seungcheol would fake pout everytime you chose a cat over his hand, he found it so precious how soft you were with cats and vice versa.
ღ Jeonghan:
When you first told Jeonghan cats loved you, he thought you were all talk. He didn't realize how true it was until one came up to you after one of your dates and just rubbed up on you. He jokingly called you a Disney Princess and it honestly was the best and most real compliment you have ever received. Whenever a cat ever came up to you, he would laugh in disbelief but he would love the fact that animals loved you just as much as he did.
ღ Joshua:
The majority of Jisoo's camera roll was with you and cats. You often would joke with each other that if you had to choose between cats vs him, you would choose cats. While that was not true in the slightest, Jisoo still would "respect" his place. There would be times where he would have to be voice of reason when you would want to take a new kitten or cat home which would be bittersweet but you would know he was right.
ღ Jun:
As a cat as well, Jun would completely understand why cats loved you. You were so calm and cute so it just makes sense. When cats would walk up to you, he swore he fell in love with you even more especially as you would crouch down and coo at them. He found it to be such a green flag that you were so good with animals.
ღ Hoshi:
Tell me why he'd be jealous of a cat? Not actually "jealous jealous" but would be like "yah, get your own partner. (y/n) is mine." He found it amusing whenever it happened because not only was the cats completely enamored by you but you also were. You would coo and would make up "back stories" about each cat that came up to you. If you ever saw the same cat twice, Soonyoung would be like "Oh yeah, it's Frederick the Third who really loves mischief and belly rubs" which would make you laugh because he remembered the back story. He would never admit it, but finding cats on your evening walks was the highlight of his day.
ღ Wonwoo:
tbh, the cats would be coming up to BOTH of you constantly. Something about Wonwoo and you just radiated such peace that cats just knew. You both found it a bit comical but also super wholesome that it happened as often as it did. If it ever happened when you weren't together, you both would either take a picture or FaceTime the other. Honestly, it would always make you both talk about adopting a cat together one day. Both of you would always get excited about the thoughts of making future plans like that together <3
ღ Woozi:
Similarly to Jeonghan, Jihoon would have some doubts about your claims of being a "cat magnet." He knocked the first few times as a "coincidence" but after awhile, he realized you were right. He found it so precious and would smirk when he would see an adorable four legged friend stretch before running up to both of you. He'd find it precious seeing you smile wide as you stared at a skittish cat that got nervous when Jihoon crouched down next to you too look at the kitten that decided to walk up to you. You would softly tell the kitten that Jihoon's muscles were all for show and he was a softie which would cause him to scoff and make mental note to show you how much "for show" they were later on.
ღ DK:
Seokmin would find it hilarious when you would just be walking and a cat would just be following close behind you begging for your attention with 'meows' and purrs. You would just give him a look of "I told you so," before playing with the kitten that so desperately wanted your attention. He found it so precious that he would film it and send it to both the 97 group chat and Seventeen group chats. His friends would be so jealous at your talents with cats and would ask you constantly for tips on how to get random cats to love you which would just make Seokmin feel so proud lol.
ღ Mingyu:
Mingyu was shocked when he realized it was not just cats and him that were obsessed with you. Whenever you both went on a walk together animals would ALWAYS come up to you. It could be cats, dogs, or even a crow. You would always mimic the noises of the animals and the animals would just act so happy that you were communicating with them. Honestly, it made him fall more in love with you.
ღ Minghao:
You know his infamous giggle? The bestest giggle in this whole wide world? Well it would star when you both would hear meows from behind you and noticed your charms worked on a grey long haired cutie. You would coo at the kitty and Minghao would coo at you. He found this sight to be the cutest thing EVER. He would take pictures and would even name the cats with you. For instance, this gray kitty y'all just found was named "Jinkies."
ღ Seungkwan:
Seungkwan would be flabbergasted that his partner was some character from a Disney movie. He would find it absolutely precious when he would see cats run up and look at you when you went on walks with each other. He often would find it funny because half the time you would get 'tired' of this talent you had. Sometimes you wanted to just enjoy time with him and when a cat came up, you just had to pet the kitty and ignore your busy man. It would make you feel guilty but he would always reassure you that it was okay.
ღ Vernon:
The first time it happened, he thought it was a freak occurrence. As did you. In fact, it was with Hansol when you realized you were the cat whisperer. It would be weird if a cat did NOT come up to you when you both on your nights. He would laugh if you got sulky because you didn't see an four legged friend on your walk. He would tease you that you were "losing your touch" which would cause you to roll your eyes and playfully push him.
ღ Dino:
Chan swore you had catnip or tuna in your pockets because there was just no way. So before your went on a walk, you emptied both of your pockets to prove him wrong. When he was satisfied you both left and ironically three damn cats showed up on your walk. He would be so flabbergasted and would laugh his infamous laugh. You would tell him it's a sign and you both should get a furbaby child soon which he would agree.

★ my favorite lyrics + seventeen
pairing | ot13 x fem!reader genre | angst, hurt comfort (?), fluff (if you squint?) warnings | references to sex/suggestive, swearing, situationships! ALSDKJ, toxic relationships, actual breakups, heartbreak, and relationship angst, cheating/infidelity (?) in one section (it’s a first date, but someone gets distracted), alcohol consumption min | lowercase intended. and honestly i say fem!reader but i don’t think i used any pronouns that indicate gender identity. (keeping the tag to stay safe). some (most if not all) of these songs came from my top 100 songs of last year. and most of these are kind of sad... sorry
Tumblr media
choi seungcheol “you're scared to be lonely, 'specially in the night. i'm scared that i'll miss you, happens every time” - die for you by the weeknd
you just didn’t get it, he thought to himself. you were looking for something that he couldn’t give you, or something he didn’t know how to give you. he couldn’t stop thinking about the way your eyes were welling up after he told you that he wasn’t trying to gain anything else from the relationship.
“so this is all i mean to you? just a thing to use when you’re bored?” you asked, quietly. it appeared that had taken every ounce of fire out of you.
of course not, he thought. i’d do anything for you.
“yes,” he confirmed. why did i say that? he thought again.
“get out of my house, choi seungcheol.”
ouch. you knew he hated being called his full name, especially by you. he remembered when you did it jokingly and he held that stupid pout on his lips for almost two hours. (that is until you went over to him and planted kisses all over his face).
he didn’t understand what was so wrong with what the two of you had going on. he thought you were happy. it worked out great. together, but not actually together. after the first time he spent the night, he realized how strong his feelings for you were. they were so far beyond anything he had ever felt before. now how was he supposed to explain that to you.
“no,” he said simply.
“i don’t want to see you anymore, seungcheol, so leave!” you yelled at him. “i’ve wanted more from you ever since i met you, but now i can see that’s something you’ve never wanted.”
“that’s not true.”
“then tell me, seungcheol! what am i missing? because you just told me i’ve been nothing but your plaything while i was putting my heart in your hands.”
“i’m scared that i’ll miss you too much.”
you froze.
“i’m so scared that if i give myself to you, the way you deserve, it’ll just hurt more when you realize that i’m not the one for you. i can barely think when i’m away from you. i don’t think i’ll be able to breathe if i’m actually with you. i miss you so much just when i leave after every night. i don’t know how to give you what you want. i don’t even know where to start. i’m sorry.” he didn’t know when he started crying, but he was. he diverted his gaze to the floor. his heart wouldn’t only hurt more if he looked at you. his heart would hurt and he’d only miss you more when you told him to leave again. so he was surprised when he felt your hands come up and wipe his tears away. “then try,” you mumbled softly. “try.”
yoon jeonghan “and the funny thing is i would've married you if you'd have stuck around” - doomsday by lizzy mcalpine
there you were. as beautiful as the day when he last saw you. you were just sitting there reading at a table in the local cafe the two of you frequented when you were together. “jeonghan?” you asked, standing up from your place.
shit. was he staring?
“hi, ___,” he finally responded.
“i knew you looked familiar,” you laughed, and he wished he could keep it forever. “i see that you’re growing your hair out again, it looks nice.”
“thanks.” he would never change his hairstyle ever again.
“come sit, it’s been a while.”
so he sat.
he sat and he listened as you talked. how you finished your degree. how you finally bought an apartment that you actually liked. how you got that dog you always wanted. how you got promoted at work. and how you had a great new boyfriend, and that said boyfriend was meeting you in the next fifteen to twenty minutes. “so what about you, jeonghan? how’s work? how’s joshua? i bet you have all the ladies after you,” you joked.
he could say it. he could say that he was still so deeply in love with you. he could say “i love you” over and over again to make up for the times when he didn’t. he could say that he wanted you to break up with your boyfriend. he could say that he hasn’t been able to find someone else without comparing them to you in every way possible. he could even say that he wished every night that he was the one in your dreams in the same way you were in his.
yet, he didn’t, not after what he did. it would be wildly inappropriate to tell you that, especially when you seemed so happy without him. so all he said was, “oh you know me, pretty average. it was really nice to catch up with you.”
you gave him a look, and he somehow knew he was busted. “i don’t hate you for what you did, jeonghan. know that, alright? we were both a bit too immature for one another. i would’ve married you in heartbeat though, even if it meant you left me with all your broken pieces,” you sighed. “i loved you, jeonghan.”
loved.
“and i’m certain you will find someone who loves you as much as i did you.”
but i love you.
“thank you, ___. truly,” was all he said, but wasn’t what he wanted to say.
hong joshua “and i'd leave you, but the roller coaster is all i've ever had. yeah, it's one step forward and three steps back. do you love me, want me, hate me?” - 1 step forward, 3 steps back by olivia rodrigo
“clearly i’ve wasted my time my time on you,” you finally said. that shut him up. “you can’t possibly mean that,” he stammered, but the blank look on your face told him otherwise.
“i can’t be the only person invested in this relationship, joshua!” you sighed.
“who said you were?” you scoffed at that. joshua had been wildly absent from your relationship, opting to hang out with friends playing basketball, eating out, watching movies. really doing anything except be with you. “well it sure fucking feels like, joshua,” you grumbled.
“what did you say?” he sounded angry, but the look on his face looked more confused than anything. damn his face. damn that perfect smile. damn those kind eyes that kept you crawling back to him even if he stood you up for the third time that week. “i said it feels like i’m the only person putting anything into this relationship. when you told me that you wanted to go beyond just fucking i really believed you, and i was actually excited about getting to put an actual label on whatever we had. but now, i don’t fucking know how to act around you. you stood me up at least three times last week, and i-”
“what do you want from me, ___? i showed up tuesday night and we watched all the movies you wanted, didn’t we?” he interrupted.
unbelievable.
“yeah, and then when you said we could hang out on friday night you suddenly ditched me. not only that, seungcheol told me you guys went to play basketball on friday and proceeded to go out to dinner afterwards,” you huffed. “it’s like we make some sort of progress in this - this - whatever this is - and then you do something that sets us back!”
“god, do you need to be with me all the fucking time. you’re so clingy,” he grumbled under his breath, but you heard him.
“clingy? i’m only upset because you said you were going to be there. you said you were free and that you wanted to hang out. i’m upset because you don’t even give me the simple courtesy of saying ‘oh hey i’m sorry something came up’ or ‘i actually can’t, i had plans with the guys.’ but no, i don’t hear anything from you. to think i actually love you. fuck you, hong,” you spat, grabbing your things and heading out his door before he could stop you.
“wait! love? you love me? ___!” he called after you, but you were over it. despite how much it hurt your heart to leave behind his stupid laugh, his stupid music taste, and his stupid eyes that you’re quite sure you probably won’t get over.
ironically enough, that was the first time you said “i love you,” and probably the last.
wen junhui 请快回来 想听你说说你还在 “please come back quickly, i want to hear from you that you are still there” - unbreakable love by eric chou
he knew you were sick of waiting around for him. work was hard and so was maintaining a relationship. a lot harder than he thought it was going to be. when he began going away for extended periods of time you always called or texted when you were about to go to sleep or when you woke up in the morning.
then he started going away more.
he was around less.
couldn’t call you back as often as he once did.
then you started contacting him less.
the messages that held the run-downs about your days became infrequent and then rare. he reached out too, but calls and messages were brief. he began wondering what he was even trying for anymore. his friend, minghao, began to notice this. he noticed jun frowning at his phone more, or he looked more anxious by the end of the day like he was running late to something.
he knew you were probably busy. he couldn’t expect you to wait around for his calls, but his brain told him otherwise. it told him that maybe you were tired of waiting around for him.
he was sitting in minghao’s hotel room eating some lame takeout for the nth time this week. minghao could tell that jun was not focused on his meal or in the conversation they were having. “you should probably just call ___,” minghao suggested.
“what if, what if it’s a bad time?” jun countered, a weak defense.
“just call, wimp. worst case scenario: leave a voicemail,” minghao shrugged.
“fine. see you tomorrow.”
“you owe me for the food.”
“yeah, yeah.”
jun made his way back to his own hotel room and pulled up your contact. “just do it,” he grumbled and pressed call. he sat down on his bed as he listened to the ringing. on the fifth ring you picked up. there was loud music in the back with muffled voices. “jun? hey, babe,” you yelled.
“hi, ___. i was just checking in to see how you’re doing. i’m coming back home next week,” he sighed, feeling a bit more at ease.
“that’s great, junnie! i’m looking forward to it.” you sounded absentminded. “am i interrupting something?” he asked.
“oh, well, it’s my friend’s birthday party and she’s going a bit off the rails. can i call you back later?” you explained as lightly as possible. you knew how he got about this kind of stuff. “oh yeah, totally. you should’ve told me earlier, i don’t want to interrupt your fun. have fun,” he said pulling the phone down from his ear, not hearing how you paused and tried to call out to him.
so you do have better things to be doing. he understood. you were your own person, but it had been so long since he had even spoken to you. maybe you didn’t want to wait around anymore. then he saw all the posts that you shared of you out having fun, without him. you looked happier. he dwelled on it for longer than he should’ve.
he dwelled on it for another three hours and then his phone rang. he picked it up without looking at the caller id. “hello?” he answered.
“jun, are you okay? you hung up so abruptly back there. i just got back home,” you asked, you sounded concerned.
“do you still want to be with me?”
“what - yes. why would you ask?” you sputtered. never once did you have a doubt in your relationship with jun. you understood that it was hard, with him being away and all, but you would always be around to wait for him. “i don’t want to make you feel like you’re waiting for nothing. i leave for weeks, come back for one, and leave for three more,” he sighed. “i don’t want to weigh you down.”
“do you think a little distance is going to break us, jun?” you chuckled.
“i don’t know! just either be there when i get home or tell me you can’t wait around any longer,” he cried. it was disheartening to hear him like this. you never wanted anything more than him. the type of love you had with jun was beautiful and it would cross seas if necessary.
“i’ll be here for as long as you want me, jun. now, come home quickly. i miss you.”
kwon soonyoung “you only call me on the weekend. you only love me when we freakin'” - the weekend by bibi
you were trying to slip out unnoticed. soonyoung had passed out essentially right after the two of you cleaned up. he had insisted that you should stay the night. you tried to refuse, but the way he looked so tired and sweet when he basically begged you to lie down in his arms.
and you were weak, so you did.
except, when he fell asleep in the crook of your neck you were still wide awake. you heard his phone going off and being nosy you looked to see notification after notification from his other hookups, and you were suddenly reminded why you were in the first place. you needed to leave.
you tried your best to maneuver your way out of his grasp. you were slipping on your socks when he stirred. “where are you going?” his voice worn.
“i have an early day tomorrow, i need to get back to my place,” you lied.
“liar.”
“excuse me?” how in the world could he possibly call you on something when he was half asleep?
“you’re running. just stay the night. it can’t hurt.” oh, but it could. the question was: would it hurt more to tell him or to just keep the arrangement as is? before you could weigh your options, your mouth had already taken over. “it would hurt,” you said. “it already hurts.”
“what hurts? did i- did i do something wrong?” he asked, sitting up suddenly interested. you knew what he was thinking. “not in the way you’re thinking, soonyoung,” you smiled. “it hurts because throughout this whole agreement i accidentally caught feelings for you and it fucking sucks. because while you’re out hooking up with other people, i can’t even bring myself to hookup with another person because i think you’ve ruined me.”
“___-” he began, he looked apprehensive.
“i know. i know this wasn’t what we agreed on, and i know you’re not looking for anything right now. i just like you so much, and every time i look at you, i just wonder why you can’t just like me back. i’ll just go. i can’t do this anymore, soonyoung. i’m sorry.” you sighed.
“i am too,” he replied quietly, and he genuinely was.
jeon wonwoo “one day i will stop falling in love with you. some day someone will like me like i like you” -  let you break my heart again by laufey
you often borrowed wonwoo’s things. from hats to jackets to random necklaces you found around his apartment, everything was fair game. sometimes you would forget to return them and wear them out. wonwoo never complained or tried to steal the clothes back from you. he liked them better on you anyway.
one day his friends noticed. it was just a house party where you had been teasing wonwoo all night about his less than average kart rider skills. you had taken his glasses off and placed them on your nose. “look at me i’m wonwoo and i suck at kart rider,” you imitated his voice puffing out your chest and bumping into his shoulder.
“hey, i need those,” he chuckled, squinting at the tv in front of him.
“yeah, yeah, i know. they look better on you anyway,” you grumbled, delicately placing the glasses back on his nose. “i’m going to get a drink, you want anything?” he shook his head, and you got up.
“wonwoo, isn’t that your coat?” mingyu casually asked as he sat down next to wonwoo on the couch. wonwoo didn’t even really process what mingyu was asking, but answered, “oh, the one ___’s wearing? yeah.”
“so, does this mean you two are finally together?” mingyu pressed.
“uh, no. it just means i like sharing.”
“just like how you like sharing your glasses,” mingyu scoffed. “bullshit.”
mingyu got up and walked over to where you were chatting with some of your friends. wonwoo wanted to act like he was paying attention to seungcheol absolutely demolishing him and chan at kart rider, but he was only focused on you.
he knew he didn’t stand a chance against the other guys you had been going out with for the past few months. he knew that you were probably better off with a guy like mingyu or something, and when he saw you chatting with mingyu he knew he couldn’t even begin to compete. in your eyes, he was just your cute best friend that did you favors all the time.
“you know, i think you should really un-friendzone wonwoo,” your friend giggled.
“i agree,” mingyu piped in.
“please, wonwoo’s just my friend,” you chuckled, glancing over at the dark haired man sitting on the couch. “plus, i already have a date this weekend.”
it was true. you did have a date lined up. it was about the fourth new guy this month. none of the people you’ve been meeting had actually clicked after the first date. which was a bit disheartening since you’ve been trying to date for a while.
the only constant in your life was wonwoo. he’s been with you since high school, and the two of you quickly rented an apartment together when you two decided to attend the same college. it was a nice set up, and you appreciated his companionship. he was there for every high and low of life, and didn’t complain if you were a mess most of the time. he was just there. a great friend.
as wonwoo and you walked home, he admired the way you looked at everything around you. the stars in the sky or the flowers that lined the windows of some apartments. it was comfortable with you. “you have a date later this weekend?” he asked quietly. you hummed in response.
you were a little too busy watching your surroundings to see wonwoo’s face fall a bit. he would watch you go off on these dates every so often, and nothing came to fruition for most of them. if they did, they were quite short lived. although it broke his heart every time you overlooked his hinting gestures, he would always be there to help you get ready and pick up any broken pieces. he’d be there at your door with a cup of coffee for you in the morning or he’d give you the space you needed if you asked. whatever you asked of him, he would do because he’d let you break his heart as many times as you wanted and he’d still come back. after all, he was your best friend.
he just wished that someday he would finally leave the feelings he harbored for you behind, and he could find someone who loved him the same way that he loved you. even if it wasn’t you.
lee jihoon “feels like we had matching wounds, but mine's still black and bruised and yours is perfectly fine now” - the exit by conan gray
jihoon was jihoon. you were you. there wasn’t any way around it. you had met him at a bad time, that’s all you could say about it. it probably wasn’t the best idea to start hanging out as much as you did. you knew that, and so did he. yet, you two did, and it was nice while it lasted.
“i just thought- i just thought we could continue seeing each other,” you grumbled. you weren’t sure what you were expecting out of jihoon. he was always a bit, emotionally reserved.
“i mean, why would we?” he asked, blinking slowly at you. of course he would ask that. “you didn’t think we were actually like dating, right?” he asked.
well no.
you and jihoon had established a mutual distaste towards labels, but now you regretted not putting one on what you had with jihoon. “i mean, i didn’t. i just thought-” you trailed off. what did you think? that maybe by the time he figured out his shit, you would have figured yours out too. or maybe that he would’ve noticed your growing feelings towards him.
“look, ___. you have been a greater help than i could’ve ever asked for. i was, well you know, just out of a long term relationship that ended well, badly. you were with me through every step of the healing process, and i will forever be grateful for you,” he said, taking a step closer to you.
“yeah, you- you really helped me too,” you mumbled, you couldn’t help the tears that were forming in your eyes.
“___? why are you crying?” he asked.
“no reason, jihoon,” you sniffed. there was a perfectly good reason why you crying, it was just a bit too embarrassing to tell him when he obviously didn’t reciprocate your feelings. maybe you got attached to jihoon to easily, someone who was obviously emotionally unavailable. maybe you had a type.
things had ended badly with your ex, and you feared that things would end horribly with jihoon before they could even begin.
maybe he would say you were too clingy, too needy, too this that and the other thing. was wanting to be loved such a bad thing?
all you really wanted was for him to notice you, but it appeared as though he was too focused on healing himself that he had left you behind without as much as a band-aid.
lee seokmin “and though it's fading with time, i remember the warm nights with love in your eyes. passing the days, watching rains as it dries, staring at your eyes i know it's the time” - less and less by matt maltese
a ball of sunshine. that’s how you described lee seokmin. you always grabbed his face in your hands and just looked at him, and he’d let you. then he’d giggle or something and you’d smile while you memorized every aspect of his face.
but now, but now, he couldn’t even look you in the eye, not after he heard that you didn’t really care to see him anymore. it was weird to overhear from one of his friends who still kept in touch with you. apparently he would be too much of a distraction or something to that effect. he knew the chances of reconciliation were already slim, but just knowing you didn’t really want to see him at all hurt. it wasn’t necessarily a bad or messy break up either.
a mutual friend of the two of you had just gotten engaged, and they were having a celebratory dinner. seokmin had the feeling that you were going to be there, but he couldn’t skip out on this just because his ex would be there. that would be - sad.
you were chatting casually with one of the other dinner guests, and you looked as beautiful as ever. “seokmin? are you even listening to me?” soonyoung whined next to him.
“you’re drunk, soonyoung. i probably shouldn’t listen to anything you say,” seokmin chuckled, pushing on his obviously drunk friend. soonyoung whined and threw his head back against the wall that was behind his chair. “___ looks nice tonight,” he commented. seokmin nodded in agreement.
he stole another glance at you, and that was when he met your eyes. god, those eyes. the same kind ones that he looked into every night before you said your goodnights and i love yous. you offered him a small smile and he reciprocated it as best as he could without it hurting his chest too much.
he found himself stealing glances at you when you didn’t even bother to look over. he wished he could sit next to you and hold your hand. kiss your cheek like he used to. should he profess his undying love for you even though you had broken his heart over six months ago? would that be appropriate?
by the end of the dinner, seokmin had slung soonyoung over his shoulder and was bringing him out to his car parked nearby the restaurant. “seokmin, why don’t you ask ___ out again?” he grumbled as seokmin dragged him into the passenger seat. the smell of alcohol reeked on his breath as seokmin buckled his pouting friend in. soonyoung continued, “you two were so good together. so cute. you were so down bad for ___.” seokmin sighed. he knew that already.
he looked at you like you hung the moon, and he genuinely believed that you did. your soft kisses on his cheeks and warm hands around his were nice, but they weren’t enough. as much as he wanted them to be, they just couldn’t be enough.
“seokmin?” he heard your familiar voice float into his ears and shot up instantly, hitting his head on his car as he tried to escape the clutches of soonyoung. “oh, are you okay?” you giggled.
“yeah,” he said, standing upright and rubbing the back of his head. and there the two of you stood in silence. oddly enough, it wasn’t as awkward as he thought it was going to be. there was a dull pain in his chest when he looked at you. “look, i just wanted to say it was nice seeing you tonight,” you said. his heart soared, but the pain hurt. “it was nice seeing you too,” was all he seemed to muster before he turned around to check on soonyoung.
you must’ve thought he was trying to get out of the conversation because the next words you said sounded rushed. “i want you to know that i don’t hate you,” you said.
he froze.
“i mean, i know you heard about what i said about not wanting to see you. that’s not what i meant,” you sighed.
he nodded dumbly.
“i just- i know we didn’t end things badly at all. it was actually quite nice. i said that after we broke up and i was still a bit upset, i guess. i thought that if i saw you, i would just hurt all over again. i just wanted to stop hurting. i should’ve considered that you might hear about it and misunderstand, and i’m sorry about that.”
silence.
“i’ll always want you in my life, seokmin.”
“i’ll always want you in mine too,” he finally said, and he felt like he truly meant it. he knew that he wouldn’t be in your life like the two of you had planned, but just hearing that you wanted him - needed him - to just be there was enough.
he had all those times that you looked at him with such love and affection that he didn’t care how he was in your life. he just needed to be in it. he had the memories how you kissed him. how you hummed songs while lounging around the house. how you would wrap your arms around him while he was cooking. how you held his hand when your car broke down in the rain.
you would remember the way he just admired you at a distance. how he cried when he forgot to water your plant when you left town for a trip. how he brought you flowers when he knew the ones you had were dying. how he sang in the shower. how he laughed at all of your jokes. how he grabbed your hand and kissed it just because.
now you stood so close to him, but so far. he wanted to hold you close to him, feel your hands on his face, hear your laugh, kiss your lips, anything and everything. all it would take would be a couple of strides and he would be close enough to smell the perfume you put on for the evening.
but something in him kept him from doing that. he looked at you. the look in your eyes wasn’t the same as when the two of you were together. something else was there. admiration, respect, unconditional love. something in your eyes told him it was time to let you go. he would always remember you and all the moments you shared, but he needed to let go of what he had. let it fade until all that remained was the dull ache in his heart.
“i’ve missed you, ___,” he said meeting your gaze.
you smiled, “i’ve missed you too. please don’t be a stranger.”
“i won’t.”
the pain in his chest was still there as he watched you leave, but he supposed that it would always be there.
kim mingyu so i can't love you even though i do 밀어내 봐도 난 너를 못이겨 “so i can't love you, even though i do. i try to push you away but i can't beat you” - invu by taeyeon
this was wrong. he knew it. you knew it. he was on a first date with mutual of one of his friends, and he only agreed because he needed to get his mind off of everything, off of you. it should be easy, nice laid back dinner date. it had been a while since he had been on first date, but he couldn’t be that bad at this whole first date thing.
apparently he was pretty bad at it.
“mingyu,” you gasped, as he grabbed onto your waist. “where are you taking me?” he didn’t say a word. something in his blood boiled when he saw you sitting with your friends at the same restaurant he was at. he quickly excused himself from the table and made his way to your table. your table was conveniently located on the way to the bathroom. he turned his head to make sure his date wasn’t looking, luckily his date’s chair was facing the other way, so he could get away with snatching you away from your friends.
you barely had time to process what had happened. you sensed someone rushing toward you, but you figured it was just a waiter. suddenly you were pulled out of your seat and there was a familiar arm wrapped around your waist. “mingyu, what are you doing?” you demanded as he pulled you into the single-bathroom and locked the door. “i was having dinner with my friends.”
“and i was having dinner with a date, but here we are,” he scoffed.
“you’re on a date, and you dragged me in here!” you yelled. “mingyu, you’re unbelievable. you should be on your date. this is incredibly rude of-”
“do you miss me?”
“what?”
“do you miss me?”
“not in the way you want me to.”
that seemed to do it for him. he pressed you against the bathroom wall and kissed you in the way that took your breath away. “mingyu,” you gasped in between his kisses. you felt the way he was holding onto you, it was pure need. “mingyu, we- we can’t. your date,” you breathed as your hands found purchase on his shoulders.
“fuck my date. i’m only on that date to stop thinking about you,” he admitted.
“mingyu-” you began to pull away from him.
“stop calling me that,” he pulled away and looked you dead in the eye.
“what? your name? it’s your name, mingyu. what else am i supposed to call you?”
“please, ___. you know.” it sounded pathetic and you practically melted. “gyu,” you caved. he didn’t realize how much he missed you until this moment. well, he had been missing you since the two of you parted ways several months ago, but now that he had you so close to him, that he had just kissed you, he missed you more than ever. you were so close. he could just go back to kissing you. he really wanted to go back to kissing you.
you don’t know how you could let this happen. mingyu was always very nice to you. he was sweet, caring, attentive, all the things you could want in a boyfriend, but you just weren’t ready for the type of commitment you knew he craved.
he wanted to move in, settle down, get married, live life. it was all too real to you, so you ran.
sure it hurt to break up with him. to tell him that you didn’t want to move that fast, and you weren’t sure if you’d ever marry at all. it was all just too confusing. but now, that you were here with him, you knew that you had made a mistake.
but you had missed your chance.
he tried to move back in to kiss you again.
“gyu, stop,” you whispered. he did, but he didn’t back away. “go back to your date, gyu,” you sighed. “it isn’t fair to your date. it isn’t fair to you.”
“what do you mean, ___? i want you. i’ve only ever wanted you,” he complained, he couldn’t let you leave again. “i’ll wait for you, for as long as it takes for you to realize that it’ll always be you. that you’re the only one for me,” he rushed.
“don’t say that stuff, gyu,” you smiled at him resting your palm on his cheek. “i missed my chance with you. you deserve someone who will appreciate you from the start. you don’t deserve someone who makes you wait around.”
and with that, you pulled away from him, took a quick glance in the mirror and fixed your hair, and left.
and he had no choice but to let you.
xu minghao “oh, simple thing, where have you gone? i'm getting old, and i need something to rely on. so, tell me when you're gonna let me in. i'm getting tired, and i need somewhere to begin” - somewhere only we know by keane
“what do you want?” you asked, leaning against your door.
“can i, uh, get some books that i left here?” minghao asked not meeting your gaze. you squinted your eyes at him. this was so not minghao behavior. even though the two of you stopped hooking up a couple months ago there was still some sort of tension that made you want to claw your hair out. “yeah, i have work soon, so, uh, make it quick,” you mumbled, moving out of the way of the door. he nodded and quickly brushed past you.
your apartment was small and you knew what books he was looking for. they had been sitting on your coffee table for the past months. it wasn’t like you took time to read all five of them in his absence. it wasn’t like you ranked them by how much you thought he would like them. it wasn’t like you knew the book with the green cover would be his least favorite. but you knew you were never going to tell him that.
you picked up the stack of books and handed them to him. he took them and glanced around your apartment. he noticed that the painting the two of you made together as a joke was still hanging out by the window, and he couldn’t help be smile at that.
now there the two of you stood. saying nothing. being with minhao was always quiet, but never this type of quiet. this was stale and somewhat raw, you missed the times of soft comfortable silence.
“well, thank you for holding on to these,” he finally said.
“of course, i mean i’m not a monster who throws away books,” you chuckled. he laughed. you loved it when he laughed, especially since it took you ages to get him to stop stifling it around you.
“before i go, ___, i just need you to know that i don’t regret the things we had, and i don’t regret how things ended. i just need to know why.”
if you thought the air was stale before, you were not prepared for that. “i- i swear it has nothing to do with you,” you said. all he did was nod. “i don’t know,” you resigned yourself.
“yes, you do,” he shrugged. you stared at him, dumbfounded. yes you knew, but you were barely ready to admit it to yourself, how were you supposed to admit it to him?
“i understand that you’re lost, i am too. maybe you can’t tell me right now for whatever reason, maybe you don’t even know yourself, but i can’t stand not being around you,” he said finally.
you just looked at him. he wanted to be around you? after you broke up with him? he still wanted to be around you.
“look, i know it’s weird, but i’ve spent a lot of my time with you. i’ve genuinely enjoyed all the things we’ve done together, and i’m just at a loss for what to do. you were a huge part of my life and now that we’re not together i-” he rambled
“don’t know where to start again,” you finished for him. his eyes flickered between you and the ground.
you would be lying if you said you didn’t feel the same. leaving minghao had left some sort of void in your life that you weren’t prepared for. he had been a huge part of your life and then he was just gone. “i guess we could try to be friends again,” you suggested. “just to start again.”
he nodded.
deep down you knew you couldn’t just be friends with him, and he knew that too. yet, he agreed. he needed somewhere to begin again, and you did too. so like you always did, you would always come running back to each other even if it meant leaving each other for good in the future.
“hey, hao,” you called after him. he turned on his heel and looked at you expectantly. “don’t read the book with the green cover. you won’t like it,” you warned. he glanced down at the books he was carrying and back up at you. “noted,” he smiled. “i guess you’ll have to recommend me a different one next time.”
boo seungkwan “if i were a mountain, i'd stand my ground, and maybe i'd never listen. but if i were a mountain, i'd close my mouth and maybe i'd be forgiving” - i’m not a mountain by sarah kinsley
seungkwan tried. he tried his hardest. he gave his everything in every aspect of his life. he gave his all to you, yet for some reason it wasn’t enough. sure, he knew this wasn’t an official thing, but he still treated it as though it was.
“i just- i don’t understand,” he stammered. the look in your eyes was not one of malice or hatred, just sorrow. “i’m moving, kwan,” you sighed. “i can’t- i can’t make you wait for me. we can hardly make it when you make your trips.”
that was true. he needed you like oxygen and his job wasn’t necessarily very forgiving towards the health of his... friendships. “don’t you think we can work it out?” he questioned. “is everything we’ve done together mean nothing?”
“that’s the thing! everything we’ve done means everything to me,” you cried. “please just let me go. maybe if we meet again, it’ll be meant to be.”
he paused.
it meant everything? did that mean...
“i can’t just let you go. we are meant to be. us, here. right now. this is right. why can’t you see that?”
from his perspective, it was his fault.
did he not show you enough love? did he not text or call enough when he was away? was he not a nice enough friend for you to stay?
if he was stronger he would’ve stopped you, even though he knew you were right. some people say that couples who are meant to be together can last the test of time and distance, but that was the issue. you and seungkwan were meant to be together, physically, mentally, emotionally.
“seungkwan, please just - i’m sorry. i can’t play this game anymore.”
“then let’s stop playing, i’ll give you everything!”
“but i can’t give you everything.”
that would be fine, as long as you’re with me, he thought.
“i’m sorry, seungkwan. i- do like you, a lot. more than i should. and it isn’t fair to you to wait for someone like me who can’t love you in the way you deserve,” you sighed, making your way to the door.
if seungkwan was stronger, he would kiss you. he would hold you in his arms and tell you that you are the only person he’ll ever need or want. he would tell you that he loves you. he would ignore the things you said about leaving and make you stay. make you see that you were his world.
if seungkwan was stronger, he would stand there and forgive you for all the times you couldn’t give him your all. he would forgive you for ghosting him occasionally. he would forgive you for breaking his heart.
but seungkwan, wasn’t strong enough to do that. he was upset that you could walk away. he was upset that you were crying about this. he was upset that he couldn’t do anything about it. his facade was in shambles, and his world was crumbling around him.
instead of standing up and protesting anymore, he shut his mouth and bowed his head. tears were dotting the floor as he heard you make your way to the door. “i’m sorry, seungkwan. i love you,” you whispered.
he heard.
“i love you too,” he said as the door clicked shut.
choi vernon 어느 날 우연히 마주치면그건 우연이 아닐지 몰라 “if we meet by chance one day, maybe it’s not a coincidence” - one day by chance by ailee
“you have to meet him!” your friend giggled. “he’s so your type!”
“type? and what would that be exactly?” you entertained the notion.
“im not sure, but he’s for sure your type!” you rolled your eyes. you hadn’t dated anyone since high school, and even then it wasn’t that serious. “and what if he isn’t my so-called type?” you questioned.
“then you get to hang out with me at an awesome party,” she stated.
you didn’t even like going to parties, but you only went to entertain her (and to be her ride home). when you finally arrived at the party she slipped way saying that she was off to find the guy. you sighed and made your way the kitchen to find the bottled water. it was most likely going to be a long night and you were-
“oh hey, sorry,” the guy you just bumped shoulders with apologized instantly.
“no worries, i wasn’t watching-” you paused. “- where i was going.”
“___.”
“vernon.”
“there you are! oh! look you found him before i did!” your friend exclaimed a cup already in her hand.
right. this was the only person in high school that you had a relationship with and thought it was mildly serious. “you were looking for me?” he cocked an eyebrow at you.
“no.”
“yes! i think ___ is just your type!” you friend practically screeched.
“is that so?”
“i’m afraid not. i’ll be outside,” you grumbled to your now confused friend as you walked out the back door. you heard your friend calling after you, but you couldn’t be bothered. it wasn’t like you held a grudge towards vernon, but he was the first guy to break your heart. you knew it was just a stupid high school relationship, but there was something about him. something that was so charmingly awkward that you couldn’t help but enjoy his lame jokes and not as lame music tastes. you didn’t even announce to your friends that you were dating, you didn’t really announce it to yourselves either. it just started. and it just sort of ended. maybe the reason it hurt so much to see him here was simply because there wasn’t any screaming or crying or fighting when it all ended. just zero effort or care was behind the ending.
then something just happened and the two of you just stopped hanging out as much. you knew you couldn’t completely blame it on him. he started hanging out with a different crowd, as did you. and suddenly, it wasn’t. the breakup was as quiet as the get together. but it didn’t hurt any less to see him with his arm around someone else at lunch.
after high school you tried your best to move as far away from your hometown. you largely succeeded. new friends, new places, new experiences. you had it all while avoiding any contact from your previous life. but there was always that thought lurking in the back of your mind about what could’ve been.
it was just a stupid high school thing. then why was your heart beating so much?
you were too lost in thought to notice that vernon had joined you on the porch. “long time no see,” he said, taking a drink from his cup. you scoffed, but not so much in an unfriendly way. just a “that was such a you thing to say” scoff. he laughed taking a sip of his drink. and there you sat in silence. it was comfortable until it wasn’t.
“why’d we stop talking,” you asked suddenly. he shrugged. “not an answer, vernon,” you groaned.
“we grew a part, i guess.” the conversation topic obviously irked him. it was weird, because you had dreamt of this moment for as long as you could remember. reuniting with your high school boyfriend. it seemed far fetched, yet here you were. you were never one to believe in that metaphysical stuff, but maybe this meant something. maybe this was the universe saying something. no. it couldn’t. it was too good to be true.
“did you feel anything for me? i mean, back then at least,” you asked finally.
“yes,” he said, with a sort of certainty that scared you.
“okay, good.” you turned and you were about to go back inside as you muttered to yourself, “at least now i can move on.”
“what if i don’t want you to?” he called.
“excuse me?” you turned on your heel to stare at him.
“what if i don’t want you to move on?” he repeated.
“then you should’ve tried.”
lee chan “got to get it in my head, i'll never be 16 again. i'm waiting to live, and waiting to love” - when by dodie
some things never lasted, and that was a tough pill to swallow. an especially tough one for chan. he moved away, but he had his phone and your number (and address if he needed to resort to letters). there shouldn’t have been a problem. he promised he’d call or text at least once a day, as did you.
and for a while. it worked. things were just the same as they were. almost as if he had never even left.
yet as time passed, he wasn’t expecting to be so busy with his new neighborhood, school, and friends. so, he forgot to text and call quite often actually. just sporadic texts for holidays, funny things, “hellos” and “goodnights.” nothing like what you two were like before. and soon, that became the new normal - for the next four years.
that is until one day when he suddenly remembered the deal the two of you had. he felt guilty. every day turned into every two weeks to once every month, and even less frequent than that. he had promised you the bare minimum, after all, you two were best friends.
however, when he looked at your contact and messages, he realized that you never reached out that much either. just the same “happy winter break!” or “aren’t you so glad summer break is here?” or “we should visit each other soon.” those plans never came to be.
maybe if he had just told you how he felt before he left, the remnants of your relationship wouldn’t be in such shambles. you would have a reason to text and call him. you would have a reason to come and see him and vice versa. except, he didn’t. you two were better off as friends anyway.
and he thoroughly believed that himself. he really believed it when it was the summer and he wanted to visit his grandparents who happened to live a little outside your childhood town. he still loved you even if he couldn’t call you every day to show it. who knows, maybe he could pass through, see you, and finally get to tell you how he felt after all these years. just because you guys didn’t talk as much didn’t mean things would be awkward or weird, right? and it definitely wouldn’t be weird if he just confessed his feelings he had been harboring for you since the seventh grade, right? the feelings he concealed and tucked away just in case you didn’t feel the same. the feelings he didn’t want to risk a friendship over. the feelings that still made him dream of you.
so as he drove through his small hometown he parked along the street where the two of you would walk and window shop. he got out and strolled around greeting some of the older store owners who “oohed” and “ahhed” at him. he was finishing up his conversation with the baker when he heard it.
the undeniable sound of sunshine. the laugh he grew accustomed to throughout your entire elementary and middle school years. he bid farewell, and went searching for it. he walked down the street and looked for it, for you. then he came to the end of the sidewalk and saw you. you were sitting on a bench with some ice cream. you looked beautiful. your eyes bright and smile wide. so bright and wide that he almost missed the guy who was wrapping you up in his arms and kissing your forehead.
oh.
so things did change. chan didn’t recognize the guy, but he knew this guy was more than a friend. his heart was sinking to the bottom of his stomach. and it sunk even further when he realize he needed to walk right by you to get to his car.
shit.
just tear off the band-aid fast. maybe you wouldn’t recognize him. maybe you would be too immersed in the conversation you were having the guy to notice. he didn’t know what he would say to you. confessing wasn’t exactly appropriate now, not that it ever was. would he be awkward? oh please don’t be awkward, he pleaded with himself.
so he just went. he just walked. looked around at his surroundings. acted nonchalant. he was the closest to you he’d been in years, and he couldn’t even bring himself to wave at you, let alone look you in the eye. he ducked his head when he got closer to passing the bench where you sat. he kept his eyes to the ground and successfully made it past your table. there was approximately five beats of his heart when it dropped again. “chan? is that you?” you called after him, he heard you get up from the bench. he looked over his shoulder slightly, but he couldn’t bring himself to fully turn around. you stood in the middle of the sidewalk, ice cream melting down your hand, and your presumed boyfriend staying off to the side. he turned back around to keep walking to his car. “god, chan!” you shouted. “get back here! why didn’t you tell me you were going to be in town?”
“sorry, i- i have to get to my grandparents’ place by dinner. it was nice running into you, ___,” he mumbled, blinking his eyes to stop the tears from falling.
“chan, come on, it’ll be quick.” you were getting closer to him. he couldn’t let that happen.
“no, ___. i can’t. i have to go.” i don’t know what i was thinking. “i’m sorry. just text me or something.”
he really should’ve told you how he felt when he was sixteen.

secure | y. jh.
pairing: jeonghan x g.n. reader genre: fluff warnings: alcohol drinking word count: 1.2k
💌: hey! thank you so much for sending this request. i wasn’t really sure if this is how you wanted it to go, but i hope you like it! thank you so much for loving my writing as well! i hope you have a great week ahead anon! <3
Your family’s tradition is to always have a reunion every 1st of January. It wasn’t necessarily a tradition passed down from one generation to another, but you remember when you were around eleven or twelve years old, your aunts and uncles invited everyone to a simple lunch to welcome the new year only for it to become so extravagant with so much food that it lasted until dinner.
That’s how it all started from your memory. It’s actually heartwarming that that one lunch invitation became a tradition that your family holds. It feels good to catch up and even reconcile over home made food paired with a little alcohol.
Eventually, your family got bigger with cousins getting married or having babies. Even your nieces and nephews bring their significant others, whether it be serious or not. Some are still in a relationship with their high school sweethearts while some have broken up.
You have never brought anyone special yourself though. Of course, you dated. But the relationship didn’t last for the rest of the year until next year. Your family has asked every single year if  there is anyone you’re liking that they should look forward to and every time, your answer is a no or with a shrug of your shoulders. They would bring up names from time to time to pique up your interest, but that was about it.
This year, however, is different. Your family decided to go on a three-day trip. You, together with your siblings and cousins, booked a cottage with a private pool. Most of the kids have grown up and they have been begging to go swimming despite the season. Well, regardless of age, everyone would want a dip. Plus, there’s nothing to worry about when there’s technology to warm up the freezing cold water.
This year, as well, you’re bringing Jeonghan along with you.
“I have cousins who like to drink,” you warn while double checking his bag for extra socks. “But I know you’re a sailor, so I guess a warning doesn’t really matter.”
Jeonghan only giggles and wraps his arms around your waist, cheeks resting on your back.
“Oh, the little kids love handsome men,” you say and chuckle. “They will climb you, so prepare yourself.”
“You’re in love with me so I guess that’s out of the question.”
You can feel Jeonghan smirking against your back, making you roll your eyes. You jokingly elbow his stomach and he quickly flinches and laughs.
“I’m excited to meet your family, love,” Jeonghan whispers in all sincerity and kisses your neck, sparking a homey warmth in you.
You smile and turn your head to look at his face. He raises his eyebrows in question as he hugs you close to his chest again. You shake your head and press a soft kiss on the corner of his lips. That brings a smile on his face too before he has to let go and take the packing seriously.
The next morning, you and Jeonghan were on the road. Your siblings have families of their own so they brought their own vehicles. Meanwhile you parents tagged along with your aunts and uncles in one van as they don’t like driving for long hours anymore. You’re sure one of your cousins sacrificed and designated themselves as their driver. The rest were either also in their own vehicles or grouped themselves to whomever they wanted to ride with.
It took about three and a half hours to reach your destination. You managed to stay awake and accompany your boyfriend who’s driving all throughout. You give him a kiss as a thank you because you could have driven, but you’re sure you will drive his drunk butt on the way home. So, he takes the wheel on the first day.
However, settling down at the cottage itself took a while. The kids got so excited upon seeing the pool that they pestered their parents to immediately give them their swimsuits so they could finally dive into the water. Your aunts and uncles were shouting at each other (with good intentions) as they set up the food and drinks.
You could only smile and hold Jeonghan’s hand tighter. You give him a glance and you can tell he’s amused, but happy. You tug him with you to the kitchen. It’s only right you introduce him now before everyone else gets busier.
“Hey,” you greet and some look up from what they’re doing while some just acknowledge you with a nod. “This is Jeonghan, my boyfriend.”
“Boyfriend?!” One of your nieces suddenly screams and emerges from the door separating the kitchen and the dining area, making you and Jeonghan jump in surprise. “Y/N has a boyfriend!”
You weren’t honestly expecting the kids to be curious about Jeonghan, much less the word boyfriend. Yet here they are, confirming what you mentioned to your boyfriend earlier that they will indeed climb him. All he could manage to say to the people you’re introducing him to was a quick good morning before he got pulled away by the little children.
The rest that were left behind in the kitchen could only laugh. You laugh along with them and take the seat beside your mother who’s currently preparing some ingredients. She gives you a small wink and you just shake your head.
“I must say Y/N, very handsome,” one of your aunts says while grinning at you. “How long have you been together?”
Your smile is beaming at the sound of the compliment. “Quite a while now.”
“He has a job, right?” Your uncle suddenly shouts from the garden outside which shocks you because you thought he wouldn’t hear.
“Of course he has,” your father, who was talking with him, answers for you and that’s more than enough for him to close his mouth.
Your immediate family has met Jeonghan countless times before. He has celebrated birthdays and other several milestones with you so they are more than familiar with him already. Every person who wishes to introduce the love of their life to their family is surely nervous and you’re no different. At first, it was like that. But Jeonghan was perfect in every step of the way. By perfect you mean he made efforts to win your family’s heart by staying true to himself.
Jeonghan perfectly proved his honest love for you.
So you weren’t really worried or bothered about this family reunion slash vacation. You can see with your two eyes that the kids love Jeonghan and so does the rest of the family as they shake his hand as he politely introduces himself.
Later in the quiet of the night where almost everyone is fast asleep, the two of you find comfort in the small porch outside the cottage. It’s a bit chilly, but nothing the two of you can’t handle. Jeonghan nestles his face to your chest and locks his arms around your waist. He’s a bit tipsy after drinking with your family, but he insists he’s not drunk.
“We have two more days left here,” you whisper against the crown of his head. “Are you okay?”
“Hmmm,” Jeonghan hums, his hot breath fanning against your neck. “You bet I am.”
You chuckle and kiss him. “I’m glad you’re here.”
Jeonghan detaches himself from you and leans down to kiss your lips briefly, careful not to get caught by the family he’s trying to impress. You couldn’t return the kiss, but the feeling still made you close your eyes.
“I love you, “ Jeonghan whispers, enough to make blood rush to your face. “Thank you for introducing me to your family.”
You kiss his red and puffy lips before whispering against them, “I love you too.”

You knew that being in the movie industry would not be easy. You knew you had to work and sacrifice many things to avoid scandals, drama and rumors. So when you and Mingyu met on a set of a movie that your agent recommended, you had no idea what was to come.
The movie's plot included two characters—you and Mingyu—sent back in time to "save the world." You and Mingyu are friends in the movie but slowly fall for each other during the quest. You both shared a few kisses in some scenes in the movie and that was it. Yeah, maybe the storyline was a bit cliche but, a gig is a gig, you always thought.
Over the course of a few months, outside of your roles, you and Mingyu got close due to rehearsing and making sure it all went as planned. Closer than you would've guessed. You've heard of costars falling for each other during the filming of a movie and end up dating in real life to be admired by everyone? Well, unfortunately, this wasn't the case for you. Your agent, Seungcheol, did not like the idea of you dating in your career. He said that it might distract and hold you back from getting certain roles for future parts. You tried to tell him that it wouldn't change anything but Seungcheol didn't listen. He just waved you off and answered a phone call outside of the room.
And that's how you ended up in the situation now. Since the filming for you and Mingyu's movie ended, you haven't been able to score any parts that involved him as the lead as well. Not even a substitute role either. You enjoyed working with Mingyu, even if you didn't consider it working and more like just having fun with him while in character. He was an amazing actor and he was so passionate as well. You've heard many actors and actresses that's worked with him compliment on how dedicated he is in roles and how serious he takes his career.
Everyone loves Mingyu, he's handsome, funny, sweet, tall and not to mention, well built. Who wouldn't fall for him at his feet? But, what no one knew was that you and Mingyu have been seeing each other on the low. After those months of working with each other, texting and getting to know each other truly, you developed feelings and so did he luckily. He asked you out and, though you wished you could date freely, you two dated in private. It was still something though, even if you couldn't hold his hand out in public or even be seen in public—it was still nice to know that he cared for you and wanted to be with only you.
It had been six and a half months since he asked you out and what a wonderful six and a half months it had been. Six—and a half—months of pure and utter affection and dates at home that involved binge watching movies and shows, ordering out and spending as much time as you both could with your busy schedules. Including tonight.
Tonight was one of the few nights that you and Mingyu were available this month and of course, he called you and asked you to come on over. Both of you were initially cuddling on the couch, watching a random show that you put on when he put his hand on your thigh, accidentally sparking something inside of you that you've been dying to push down since the moment you laid eyes on him.
You guys have kissed, plenty of times and during those times there's been plenty of moments where it escalated to the point of almost having sex. Although neither of you both were virgins, you both were somewhat afraid of "sealing the deal." You knew at least that if you were to have sex with Mingyu, it would be hard to let him go eventually, like you knew you would one day. Mingyu knew if you guys were to have sex, he'd fall harder for you and wouldn't want to leave you. But at this moment, both of you didn't care.
You ended up on Mingyu's lap, the blanket that covered the both of you tossed to the side and the movie long forgotten. Mingyu's hands wandered all over your back, moving down south to grip your ass, making you moan into his mouth. Your hips subconsciously began to grind on him, making him moan into your mouth. The only sounds that were present in the room was the sound of your mixed heavy breathing and the television on low.
"Y/N," Mingyu panted as his cock began to get hard under your movements.
You whined against his lips, feeling yourself get wet at the friction. Mingyu broke the kiss, kissing your neck and nipping only slightly at the skin, knowing that if you suddenly showed up with a hickey, the press would get suspicious. "Mingyu," you spoke softly.
He stopped his movements, "Yeah?" he replied. He was sweaty, his hair sticking to his forehead and cheeks flushed.
You wanted to have sex with him. At this point you didn't care about the consequences or the possible feelings that you might have hurt. You just needed him then and there or else you felt like you'd explode. "I think I'm r-"
Ring ring!
Are you fucking kidding me?
Mingyu groaned as you felt disappointed. You got up off of Mingyu's lap and let him answer his phone which laid face up on the table. "Hello?" He said when he picked up, mouthing an I'm sorry to you. You sat quietly, listening to Mingyu's responses and also straining to listen to who was on the other line. "Oh, hey Jeonghan. What's up?" He spoke nonchalantly as if you two weren't dry fucking on his couch.
Jeonghan was Mingyu's agent who—to put it nicely—wasn't the biggest fan of you. He knew that you two had a thing and when he confronted you about it, he made you stop speaking with him. Of course you didn't listen to him, sticking it to the man. You couldn't help yourself, trying to cut ties with Mingyu for the better of your career. But every time you tried, you imagined his sad little face in your mind and didn't have the heart to really end it.
"Really?" Mingyu got up suddenly, visibly excited. He glanced at you and his face dropped. "Okay. Friday? This Friday? That's too soon." You were on the edge of your seat, curious to know what was happening. "But- Jeonghan- I," Mingyu sighed, "Okay. Alright, thank you. Yes Jeonghan I am thankful. Yeah, I'll talk to you later. Okay, bye." You looked at him, waiting for him to talk to you.
"Jeonghan got me a role."
...
After hearing those words, you felt something in your heart. Mingyu would be gone for, God knows how long and you were—to say the least—devastated. You wouldn't see him, feel him, touch or hear him for whatever many months and it upset you. He would be leaving this Friday, only—technically—two more days. Two days to spend as much time with him as you can. That night you wanted to seal the deal. To hell with your fear of it because in reality, you were already in deep with Mingyu. You cared about him and you knew he cared about you too. But not yet. You wanted it to be meaningful.
You picked the absolute fanciest hotel you could find and were pleasantly pleased to find a private house for you and Mingyu, for two nights. You got there before nightfall, just before 6 o'clock, giving yourself time to set up and build up your confidence. When you entered the house, it was breathtaking. You knew Mingyu was going to love it.
The house was secluded, overlooking the mountains and the Pacific ocean. It was huge, beautiful wooden floors, the most expensive decorations and up to date appliances. Two master bedrooms, both with gorgeous bathrooms that made you wish you could stay in forever.
"It's that nice?" Mingyu's voice echoed throughout the living room as you had him on speaker.
"Yes, it's more than nice, it's amazing. You're seriously gonna freak out when you get here." You smiled at the thought of Mingyu's reaction. You can already see his eyes sparkling with his pearly white canines showing.
"Well, I'm only about an hour-ish away according to my GPS."
"Okay, drive safe for me. Come here in one piece."
"I will, Mom."
You groaned at his words, earning a laugh from him.
...
"Ho-ly shit, Y/N, you were right." Mingyu said right after you had opened the door. The sun set by the time he arrived and it made everything look so much more beautiful. Mingyu looked all around, taking his jacket and shoes off, setting the small bag he packed on the floor.
"I told you," you replied, giggling. You showed him around, every room making his eyes grow wider and wider. After Mingyu came to his senses, the sound of his nose sniffing filled your ears. "Y/N, you didn't." He turned to you, his eyebrows furrowing together while he pouted.
You winced jokingly, "I did."
"You made dinner for me?" Mingyu looked at you, pouting even harder that it made his lower lip ache.
"For us. I just wanted to do something nice for the two of us. You know," you trailed off. "Before you go." You said sadly.
Mingyu cooed and grabbed your hand, pulling you into his arms. "You're such a sweetheart, Y/N."
You sighed in his chest, "Just wanna make our last few moments a little special."
...
After Mingyu arrived, you served him his food and you both sat on the luxurious and quite comfy couch and ate together. You found a show to put on and you two cuddled. You glanced at the microwave that read 9:46. Mingyu had his arms behind his head while you laid on his chest, your left arm wrapped around his torso. Without looking at him, you called out his name. "Mingyu?"
"Yeah baby?" He looked down at you—well, the top of your head actually.
You paused for a second, thinking over what you wanted to say. "You remember what happened yesterday?"
At this moment, you sat up to look at Mingyu in the eyes. "Which part exactly?"
"When we were making out, I was gonna tell you something." You played with your fingers, nervous that you were ready but Mingyu wouldn't be. You didn't want Mingyu to feel pressured to have sex with you. He nodded his head slowly, waiting for you to continue. "I was going to tell you, that," you took a deep breath, "I'm ready."
Mingyu tilted his head a bit, "Ready for?"
"Sex. I, uh, I want to have sex with you. B-But if you don't want to that's fine! I don't want to if you don't want to."
He scoffed and sat up to grab your hands. "I thought you'd never be ready." You furrowed your eyebrows. "No! I didn't mean it like that! I meant," You stared at him, allowing him to dig his little hole. "Like, I meant- I thought that I was the only one ready and I was like, just, waiting.. for you."
You stayed quiet, internally giggling at his nervous state. "I know what you meant, goof." You leaned in and gave him a kiss on the lips. Standing up, you held out your hand for him to grab. He looked at you curiously but took your hand anyway. You led him through the house, into the main bedroom.
The room was filled with soft lighting—thanks to the candles that you lit beforehand and you bought a few rose petals to scatter on the floor around the bed, just to make it a little more cheesy. "Oooh," Mingyu said as you two walked entered and he admired your handiwork.
You laughed and turned back around to face Mingyu. He pulled you closer to him, connecting his lips to yours. Your face began to heat up, flustered at the situation. His tongue glided over yours as his hands rested on your waist. Your hand gripped the back of his neck while you stood on your tippy toes.
The kiss got hot quickly and you weren't sure if it was because you two were finally going to have sex, or if it was the romantic scenery that made you want to dive right in.
Mingyu began walking you backwards toward the foot of the bed. Your legs hit the edge and you pulled away from Mingyu, noting how cute he looked while his face was flushed. You smiled shyly at him as you hesitantly hooked your fingers under your shirt, pulling it over your head. Mingyu's face seemed to grow more pink, as he carefully watched your every move. He was trapped in a trance as more and more of your skin was exposed to his fortunate eyes. He always thought you were perfect but he didn't think you were this perfect. His eyes raked over every curve, dip and wonder of your now bra-clad torso. "You're so beautiful Y/N." Mingyu said quietly, a smile forming on his face.
You avoided his eyes, looking at the ground in shyness. "Oh stop," you replied jokingly.
Mingyu followed your actions and took his own shirt off. You knew Mingyu was built and despite seeing him shirtless plenty of times during a few of his previous movies, it felt more personal. Sure, he's shown his body on screen but seeing it in front of you, in a way that only he wanted to show you made you feel special. You were also in a daze as your eyes traveled over his defined abs and bicep muscles. "You're beautiful too," you said mindlessly.
He laughed at how adorable you were. Mingyu walked closer to you, grabbing your hand and sitting on the bed while you stood standing. He pulled you down gently, reconnecting your lips. He backed up on the bed to rest against the pillows and you ended up sitting on his lap, running your fingers through his hair, lightly tugging when you felt that addictive feeling down south.
Mingyu's tongue ran over yours, making sure no inch of your mouth went untouched. Both of your moans merged together, the air in the room slowly becoming hot. Your hips instinctively began shifting underneath Mingyu's, receiving a whine from him. He moaned, "Fuck, keep doing that, baby." Your clit pulsated at Mingyu's voice—he sounded so hot yet so cute at the same time. Mingyu's hair began to stick to his forehead, sweat quickly building up on the both of you. You halted your movements to unbutton the pants Mingyu wore, following your own afterwards.
Mingyu's cock strained against his underwear, giving you a clear outline of what you've been only dreaming about seeing since you two started dating. You definitely underestimated him though. Lost in your thoughts, Mingyu noticed you spaced out, basically drooling over his crotch. "Are you enjoying yourself, Y/N?"
You snapped out of it, your cheeks heating up from embarrassment. "Sorry.." you whispered.
"Your underwear is cute." He pointed. Your underwear were red with a black bow at the top. He messed with the bow You rolled your eyes playfully, ignoring him. Mingyu leaned up and pulled you down with him, kissing you once again. Your heat came in contact with his cock, making the both of you moan. Mingyu's hips instinctively bucked up, rubbing against you in a way that had your clit beating harshly and arousal building.
The kiss was sensual and soft, yet also rough at the same time, due to the both of you waiting for this moment for as long as you both could remember. In the past, you and Mingyu shared some heated experiences with one another before, but nothing at all like this before. The getaway, the room, the warm lighting that shined against both of your faces made the two of you stop and smile.
"I know this might not be a good time- you know, since you're leaving but, I'm really glad that you asked me out." You confessed to Mingyu.
Mingyu awed at your words, giving you a slight pout. "Well, I'm really glad that you didn't reject me."
You laughed, looking down and back up at him. "How could I ever even think of rejecting you?"
He shrugged, "I don't know, maybe you thought I was ugly."
Scoffing, you gave him a bewildered look. "Ugly?" You said, a bit too loud for your own liking. "Who could possibly think you're ugly?"
Mingyu winced. "I know a few haters that could tell you otherwise."
You rolled your eyes and leaned down to give him a kiss on the cheek. "You're perfect to me, Mingyu." He smiled shyly up at you, avoiding your eyes. "Whaat? It's true, baby. You are perfect."
He shook his head, disagreeing with you. "There's so many other guys out there that could treat you so much better than me. I'm going to leave you for weeks, maybe even months in just a few days." He said in a sad voice.
Leaning down, you gave Mingyu another kiss on the cheek, rubbing your thumb on his cheekbone softly. "Mingyu, I don't care if you leave me for a year. I'm always going to have the same feelings for you."
Mingyu's eyes began to water, guilt settling in the entirety of his heart. Mingyu thinks that he might love you, but he's afraid if he says it out loud, it'll ruin everything. He knows his feelings for you are strong but he didn't know that they were strong enough to make him consider turning down the role Jeonghan got for him in order to stay close to you. It scared him.
"We can do long distance. We can Facetime whenever you have the chance or call or text. Whatever it takes. I just know that I can wait for you." Your own eyes began to tear up, your heart aching at the sight of Mingyu beginning to cry.
"I just-" he paused for a second, looking up at the ceiling as a tear slips down his cheek. You wiped to off, waiting for him to finish. "I don't know, I don't want you to wait all this time for me and give you false hope that the production time won't extend or whatever. I don't know, Y/N. I don't want to hurt you accidentally or whatever because I love you and I want you to be happy and-"
"Wait, wait. What?" Your thumb stopped caressing his cheek, and you sat up straight. "You what?" Your heart felt like it stopped, or maybe that's the loud thumping you hear in your ears.
Mingyu looked puzzled, "I want you to be happy?"
Your heart began beating faster. "Y-You-you love me?"
"Oh fuck." Mingyu mumbled, covering his mouth with one of his hands. He wanted to slap himself. He just said that he didn't want to say he loved you because it would ruin everything and now he did and you're probably freaked out and a million thoughts began racing in Mingyu's mind. He wanted to literally slap himself so hard right then and there.
"Mingyu-"
"Don't say it. I know that you don't feel the same way. I'm sorry, I didn't even mean to say it. I don't know why that came ou-"
You shut him up with a kiss, a deep, soft kiss that took his breath away. Which was what you were going for. After breaking the kiss, you paused for a second. "If it came out that easily, then that must mean that it has to be true."
"Y/N, I'm really sorry. I didn't want to say this then leave for who knows how long."
You shook your head, letting the fact that Mingyu actually loves you settle in. "I think I feel the same way."
"You know you don't have to say that if it isn't true. I didn't say it for you to say it back." Mingyu looked really sad and you knew that what he said wasn't how you really felt.
"I do though. I don't know for certain but I do believe that the love for you is there, Mingyu. Trust me, okay?" You gave him a small smile, making him smile back.
Mingyu nodded his head and rubbed your arm softly. "Okay. Do you still want to do this, baby?"
"Of course, why wouldn't I?"
He sniffled, wiping his eyes. "Well, I kinda just cried and shit so I wasn't sure if that turned you off or anything."
You laughed as you caressed his cheek lovingly. "You didn't. I'm glad we had that moment." Sighing, you reached behind your back, unhooking your bra. "Now, can we continue?"
Mingyu's eyes dropped to your chest, "Yes ma'am." He grabbed you and pushed you backwards, attacking your neck.
You moaned as he licked your neck, dragging his teeth against it since he couldn't mark you officially. He kissed from one side to the next and moved down to your collarbones.
Mingyu kissed and licked his way to the valley between your breasts, sucking a small hickey right beside your nipple. "I hope you don't have any roles that involve you being braless anytime soon." He said, making you laugh. Mingyu's lips were soft against your skin, giving you goosebumps as he reached your stomach, going down further and further before stopping above your underwear. Glancing up at you, he looked at you curiously.
"Please," you whined.
Mingyu smirked as his fingers slipped under the band of your underwear. Before pulling them down, he kissed your clothed clit and dragged them down your legs. You shyed away from him, hiding yourself. Mingyu moved his hands onto your knees, "You're beautiful, Y/N."
You pouted, his slightly cold hands making you shiver lightly. Mingyu placed his hands on your thighs, spreading you open slowly. Your breathing got deeper, the knowledge of how much you're exposed to him making you throb. Mingyu took note of the way your wetness shined from the candlelight, edging him to finally taste you.
His tongue flattened against your pussy, making sure he got every drop of your arousal. You let out a whine, as his tongue flicked your clit. "Fuck, you taste so good baby." Mingyu's lips latched onto your clit, sucking gently while swirling his tongue around it.
Your back arched off the bed while your hands tangled in his hair, pushing his face closer to your pussy. He took his right hand and used one of his fingers to slowly push inside you. You bit your lip as your walls clenched around his finger. "So warm too." Quickly taking his finger out, he scooted up close to your face, "Say 'ah,'" he said, opening up his own mouth for you to mimic.
Obeying his order, your mouth dropped open and you stuck your tongue out a bit. Mingyu pressed two of his fingers on your tongue. You closed your mouth around them, sucking on them and looking into Mingyu's mouth. "If you don't stop that I'm gonna have to put my dick in you right now."
"Do it then." You challenged as he pulled his fingers out of your mouth. Honestly, you wanted this to move along already. You were aching to have Mingyu inside of you, on the edge of begging for it.
"Really? You want to?" His eyebrows raised up as he held up his saliva covered fingers.
Giggling, you nodded your head. Mingyu laughed nervously, "W-Well okay then." His back smacked onto the bed, lifting his hips up to take off his underwear a little too eagerly. You started laughing as he struggled slightly. While he did, you stretched over to the nightstand on the side of the bed, grabbing a pack of condoms you placed there before his arrival.
Opening the pack, you noticed Mingyu's underwear were off and you stared for a moment. A breathy "wow" left your lips before you realized. His confidence peaked a little bit but didn't let it show. "Thank you," he smiled and grabbed the condom from your fingers. He opened the condom, pinching the top and rolling it down his length. You watched his movements carefully, admiring him in all his glory. Your eyes traveled up to his eyes, seeing his concentration and you felt your heart beat at the sight.
You laid down on the bed, in front of Mingyu who began positioning himself. He took a deep breath, "Ready?" You nodded your head and closed your eyes. He held his cock in his hand and slowly pushed into you. You winced and Mingyu groaned, both of you not used to this feeling. Mingyu was a bit thicker and you felt yourself stretch to his girth. Your walls clung onto Mingyu, making him feel like he was in heaven. "Tell me when," he grunted. You took in the sight of him inbetween your legs, his hair sticking to his forehead slightly and cheeks a light pink hue. Mingyu looked at you suddenly, "What did you just do?"
You looked at him, clueless as to what he was talking about. "Huh?"
Mingyu chuckled, licking his lips. "Your, uh," he scratched his head. "You kinda clenched around me."
Your eyes widened a bit, not even knowing you did so. "Oh," you said quietly.
"I'm not complaining though! I-It felt good actually," Mingyu admitted.
When you knew you were ready you told him and closed your eyes. Mingyu mouthed an okay, moving his length almost all the way out of you before pushing back in. You gasped, eyes popping back open as you seen his mouth drop open and a quiet moan leaving his pink lips. Grabbing the back of Mingyu's neck, you pulled him closer to kiss him. Mingyu developed a steady pace—slow yet forceful at the same time.
"Mingyu," you purred in his mouth. His cock hit the sweetest spots of you when he pushed himself the furthest he could go.
His tongue swirled around yours, caressing it lovingly and making your insides fill with butterflies. "Y/N," he breathed sensually.
The kiss broke, but Mingyu kept himself close to you. His forehead touched yours, resting it gently on you as his hips kept the pace. Mingyu's hips ground into yours tenderly, making you see stars. You looked into Mingyu's eyes, "I love you."
Mingyu smiled, brushing a piece of hair out of your face and holding your cheek. "I love you too, Y/N."
After saying that, Mingyu picked up his speed. Both of you moaned, drunk off the way the two of you made each other feel. Mingyu's cock felt warm in you and your walls hugged him in a way that you knew you'd miss when he left. At the thought, you wrapped your legs around Mingyu's lower half, wanting him to be as close to you as possible before he would be gone.
Mingyu laid on his forearms that were right next to the sides of your head. His breath mingled with yours, making your head spin slightly as his lips brushed your own. Your hand rested on his jaw, admiring his facial expressions. He moaned, feeling your pussy pulse around his cock. "You must really be whipped for me because every time you look at me, your downtown gets affected in a way."
You smacked his face gently, "Shut up, dork."
"No you." He said desperately, his hips going faster and faster. You whined while Mingyu placed his head in the crook of your neck. His breath tickling your collarbones as he moaned into your skin. "Fuck, Y/N," he rasped.
Your arms hugged his shoulders, fingers tangling in his hair as you felt your orgasm building. "O-Oh my god, f-fuck," you stuttered. You swallowed harshly, broken moans slipping past your lips.
Mingyu grunted, his own orgasm building quickly alongside yours. "God, you feel so, so good, Y/N fuck." He moved away from your neck to kiss you again. His teeth caught your bottom lip, making you giggle.
Mingyu swallowed your high pitched moans, as you felt yourself get closer and closer to the edge. Your fingernails raked down his back, making him growl in your mouth. "Do that again," he mumbled against your lips.
You repeated your actions, your fingernails scratching red marks down his shoulder blades. "Shit, I'm close. Mingyu," you pleaded.
"M-Me too," he whimpered.
You slipped your hand between the two of you, rubbing your clit messily to edge yourself closer.
"That's hot," Mingyu chuckled as you rolled your eyes at him.
"I'm almost there," your walls began pulsing around Mingyu quickly.
Both of your moans got higher and higher until waves of pleasure washed over you two. Mingyu's hips halted as he came into the condom while he grunted softly. Your walls clenched around his length as your back arched off the bed. You collapsed back on the bed, your clit beating in a rhythm that you felt in your toes.
Mingyu sighed, pulling out of you gently as you mewled. He took the condom off of himself, careful to make sure nothing spilled out. Mingyu searched for the trashcan before looking back at you. You laughed, checking out his butt before pointing to the bathroom. He waddled his way into the room, flipping the switch on and tossing the contraceptive in the bin. Mingyu walked back in the bedroom, running his fingers through his damp hair.
You smirked, looking him up and down. "You know, you're really sexy, Gyu."
He waved you off, bending over to grab his and yours underwear. You gave him a wolf whistle and he covered his butt with his boxers before throwing your panties in your face and tossing your bra at you as well. Both of you laughed as you slipped your undergarments on and you put your bra on. Mingyu plopped back on the bed next to your right side. You and Mingyu stared at the ceiling, knowing that his indefinite leave will be even harder now.
After a long moment of silent staring, you spoke up. "If you find someone else, I don't want you to hold back."
Mingyu shifted his head to look at you. "What?"
A tear slipped past your eye. You turned your head to look at Mingyu as well. "I don't want to hold you back, Mingyu."
"But Y/N-" "No," you interrupted him. "You're an amazing guy, Mingyu. And I know that I'm not going to forget us or this night or any other nights we spent together. But Jeonghan doesn't approve of us. What if he wants you to be with someone else?"
Mingyu then turned his whole body towards you, laying his head on his hands. "I don't care what he wants. If it comes down to it, I'll tell him about us. I love you, Y/N. I want you and only you."
More tears began to fall, slipping out of the corner of your eyes. "I can't affect any of your decisions when it comes to your career though, Mingyu."
"Y/N, please. I can't lose you. Please just, let's give this a try? Please, just don't give up yet. I know we can do this." He cradled your cheek, wiping your tears away with his thumb. "Please," he begged.
You saw his eyes water, a tear forming before it slipped down the bridge of his nose and landing on the pillow. Taking a moment, you thought about what he asked. Could you really make this work? Will this make Mingyu deny roles that will keep him away from you longer? Was it selfish to want to make it work? Was it selfish that you wanted him to stay? Yes, but you knew you couldn't do that. "Okay," you whispered.
...
The next morning, you and Mingyu woke up in each other's arms. The two of you got up from bed, yawning and walking to the main room. You made breakfast while Mingyu helped in any way he could. He stopped you midway to finish and served you before himself. The day consisted of lounging around, watching tv, napping and making small meals whenever either of you got hungry.
The day after, you packed your things while Mingyu cleaned up and made sure everything looked the way it did when you got there. After you and Mingyu finished, you both stood in front of the doorway, taking in the last moments you'd be able to spend next to each other. You faced him. "I'm going to miss you so much."
He nodded his head, facing you as well. "Me too."
Both of you started tearing up before he pulled you in for a hug. His arms held your head, hugging you in a way you'll desperately miss when you wish he was there while he's away. You sobbed in his arms, muffling most of the noise in his shirt. Mingyu's tears fell in your hair—which he tried brushing off sneakily but failing. You laughed, pulling away and shaking your hair.
It was time.
You stood and looked at him one last time. You couldn't even go to the airport to say goodbye. Not only because of Jeonghan but because of paparazzi and fansites. "I love you, Gyu."
Mingyu pressed his lips together, his eyes glossed over from his tears as more shed down his cheeks. "I love you too, Y/N."
"Call me when you land?" You grabbed his hand and held it for a bit.
He nodded, picking up his bag with his unoccupied hand. He opened the door, and looked back at you. His hand slowly pulled from yours, a pout forming on his face. Mingyu's warmth left your palm as he looked away from you and began leaving the rental.
...
The whole ride back home, you cried your eyes out. Before getting back, you put on some black sunglasses, hopefully hiding your puffy eyes. You entered your house, already missing Mingyu's presence.
The rest of your day, you spent watching tv alone. At night, you got on your laptop, checking Twitter and seeing Mingyu's name trending.
Actor Kim Mingyu seen boarding plane with tear-filled eyes. What could possibly be breaking the 23 year old's poor heart?
You scrolled down the tag, seeing fansite photos and seeing how sad he looked. You got your phone out, sending him a message.
[11:19 pm] You: Hey babe. I seen the airport photos, I miss you and I love you. I hope you landed safe <3
You clicked your phone off and scrolled through a few more photos before heading to bed. He must've been too busy to call you.
...
Ring ring!
A phone call woke you up at the crack of dawn. You answered as fast as you could. "Hello?" You croaked, your morning voice definitely worse from all the bawling yesterday.
"Hey baby, I'm so sorry I didn't call yesterday."
You smiled at Mingyu's voice. "Hey, it's okay."

Yesterday, I was looking back, reminiscing and thinking about what memory held a special meaning to me that I could post about today on Sentimental Saturday. I realised our first date was on the 26th/ 27th of April and we got married on the 26th of July, exactly three months later. Taking a look back, a lot actually happened on that day. So let’s take a trip down memory lane shall we?
Tumblr media
I teased you about how I should have my teeth made into fangs because I’d constantly bite you for fun and since I wasn’t an incubus at the time. You weren’t very fond of that idea.. Well now I do have fangs, and I think I’m safe to say you love it~ We had a deep talk about various things and I told you “No matter what might happen in the future, you’ll always have my heart.” And I still stand by that. You have my heart more than ever before and you’ll have my heart and the key to it, until the very end, Seonghwa. Then you proceeded to remind me of the threat you had made if ever I fucked up for real again, and till this day, I still remember it very clearly😬
After our pillow talk, I left telling you I had “Wooyoung things” to do, which I in fact had. You were very skeptic and even questioned my intentions behind suddenly taking you out for a drive in the late evening (jokingly of course, I know that~).
Tumblr media
As before mentioned; I took you out for a drive and found a parking lot on top of a hill near the castle from where we could see the city lights. Having filled the back of the car with blankets, pillows and everything soft, we spent the night there, admiring the view of the lights illuminating the city in the dark right before. However the best view for me, was when I’d look over at you and the lights would reflect in like a small galaxy in your soft brown eyes. That one place ended up being a special place to us and it definitely wasn’t the last time we visited it.
Tumblr media
At that time, I had never taken someone on a proper date before and I was a wreck of nerves to say the least.. But seeing how happy it made you, made all my worries fade and it helped me focus back on what was important, you, us, our time spent together. I think all in all, that one place on the hill and the date 26th, is something that’ll always be special to us and it’ll always be something we’ll remember- even when we’re old and have lost our minds~
Tumblr media
This is simply one of the many memories we have together, and we’re only making more as the days pass by.
Thank you for everything, Jung Seonghwa, I hope you know I treasure every moment spent with you. I love you, my prince 💜

Title: Boy With Luv
Pairing: Seokjin x Reader

Warnings: Cursing
Word Count: 2368
Part of the @bangtanscenery collab, May Flowers
This is a sequel to Boy In Luv, but can be read as a standalone.
Also um i kinda messed up the “he shows up at your high-school reunion, sorry.
"So, how are you doing? I haven't seen you in so long," Jeonghan hums as he sips his beer.
"Who's fault was it for going off to Paris without me?" you tease Jeonghan with a big smile on your face. "But really, I'm doing better than ever! College had its ups and downs, but no one was a dick like a certain Kim in high school."
"He really must have been a dick to you, huh," Jeonghan pauses, setting his bottle down. He looks at you for a long while, and you fidget.
"Yeah. You can stop giving me the once-over, Jeonghan. I'm not beat up about it. He was in high school. High schoolers do stupid things." You sip your beer to hide your frustration. Honestly, you are still beat up about it. You don't think you've fully forgiven Seokjin. Your phone buzzing gives you a distraction. "Sehun just texted. He's on his way and should be here in about two minutes."
Sehun, a friend you met in college with the subtle help of Jae, was soon one of your best friends. (Sorry, Jeonghan.) He was coming up to see you during his summer vacation. He met Yugyeom and Jennie before, as the four of you went to the same college, but he hs never met the rest of your high school friend group. This summer, however, was going to change.
He promised to stick around for most of his summer vacation, only heading down the last week to see his other friends and family. When, every summer, your high school group of friends has their get-together, he would meet them as well. You think he'll get along with Younghyun, but you're unsure about Jae. Jae had told you to find Sehun before you left for college, but he did hint that Sehun wasn't to know that.
Oh well. You'll cross that bridge when you get to it. For now, you're going to focus on Jeonghan and Sehun. When a knock sounds on the door, you open it to reveal both Sehun and the pizza boy. From the looks of it, Sehun was being scary and frightened the kid. "Hey, Sehun, come on in," you say, waving him in. "Let me just pay the pizza kid."
The said boy turns to you, handing you a large box of pizza with a smaller box containing cheese sticks. "One large pepperoni pizza with a box of parmesan bread bites. That will be twenty dollars, miss."
You take it from him graciously and hand the boxes to Sehun. Fishing the money out of your pocket, you add in a fairly generous tip. "Here you go," you take a glance at his name tag, "Minho."
The kid smiles and returns to his dinky looking delivery car to leave. You go back inside, shutting the door with your foot, and plop onto the couch in between Sehun and Jeonghan. "Nice to have you finally join us again," Jeonghan teases.
"Shut up, Jeonghan. I was away for, like, not even a minute," you groan, punching him in the arm. "Now, Jeonghan, this is Sehun. Sehun, this is Jeonghan. He's a pain in the ass, but you get used to him."
The two give each other a staredown. You fidget, slightly nervous until Sehun finally gives the smallest of smiles. Jeonghan does the same, but his smile is a little bigger. "Nice to meet you, Sehun," Jeonghan says warmly, shaking Sehun's hand.
"Nice to meet you too, Jeonghan. If you ever need some blackmail for (Y/N), hit me up. I have receipts from her antics in college." You scoff at Sehun, and Jeonghan laughs.
"I may just have to hit you up on that offer." You smack Jeonghan on the shoulder.
"Hey, you're supposed to be on my side!" Jeonghan laughs again, most likely at your misery, and you pout. "Whatever. I guess I'm just going to have to put up with this abuse committed by my best friends."
Sehun chuckles and wraps an arm around your waist. "'M not abusing you, baby, just...um...bonding with your best friend."
You narrow your eyes at him. "Hm. I'm sure you are," you snicker. "So, Jeonghan, do you know if the others will manage to come?"
Jeonghan hums, thinking for a bit. "I know Jennie and Younghyun can make it. Yugyeom you know is coming, since he's driving up tomorrow. I believe Jungkook is coming, as he rooms with Yugyeom. Seokjin was unable to take Jungkook on a trip." You wince at the name, and Jeonghan notices but lets it pass. "Jae should be coming."
"Sorry, who?" Sehun interrupts.
"Jaehyung Park. Do you know him? Tall, lanky, a brat?"
"Jeonghan, he's older than you," you remind him jokingly.
"Yeah, I know him," Sehun snorts. "He somehow keeps popping up in my friend groups. I didn't know you guys knew him."
You nod slowly. Sehun doesn't seem to be freaking out, so that's good. "Yeah, we went to the same high school together. He's about twenty-seven now, right?"
Sehun nods, grabbing an unopened beer and sipping it. "We're cousins." You choke on your bread bite, and Sehun sighs before patting you on the back.
"He knows I have trouble making friends, and he also knows that I don't like to accept help." Sehun narrows his eyes at you. "Did he happen to tell you to find me before you went to college."
You fidget. "Maybe."
"He always does that," Sehun muses, and both you and Jeonghan look at him in surprise. "Every time I go off somewhere, Jae worries endlessly. He always finds someone to go be my friend."
"Then why'd he tell us not to tell you? He made it seem like it was some huge deal?" You ask, and Sehun laughs.
"He's always so scared I'll hate him. Sure, it's annoying, but it's not something that warrants hate," Sehun explains. You hum in acknowledgment.
"Well, you'll get a chance to tell him tomorrow," Jeonghan says, grabbing his phone. "He just texted me, and it looks like he's riding up with Yugyeom and Jungkook."
Tomorrow could come a little faster, you think, as you take yet another sip of your beer.
Tomorrow came too soon.
You wake up with a splitting headache, and you vaguely remember Jeonghan tsking at you. You must have drunk too much again. Unfortunately, the world does not revolve around you, and all you can do is pop some aspirin and get ready to see Yugyeom, Jungkook, and Jae again after two years of being apart. You decide to stay in your sweatshirt, but you put on some pants because you're not THAT close with them.
When you head out of your room, you don't see Jeonghan anywhere, but Sehun is in the kitchen eating a bagel. "Where's Jeonghan?"
Sehun shrugs. Not a surprise; he's is a late riser, and would not have seen Jeonghan leave. You sigh and grab your phone to text him when you see Jeonghan had already left you a text. "Okay, so he went to get food because I have none here." You frown. "I have food, what is he talking about?"
"Leftover pizza and an insane amount of ramen cups do not count as food, (Y/N)," Sehun butts in, and you turn your head so fast to stare down the perpetrator. "Don't give me that look."
There's a knock at the door, and Sehun goes to get it, saving himself from your (admittedly not that scary) wrath. You just busy yourself with heating a slice of leftover pizza for breakfast. Yells fill the hallway, and you know Yugyeom and Jungkook have arrived. You know, because Yugyeom's screaming in Sehun's face about him kidnapping you. "Oh, my god!" You scowl from around the corner. "He didn't kidnap me, you dumbass."
"(Y/N)!" Yugyeom grins when he sees you, practically galloping over to envelop you in a hug. "It's been so long!"
You choke in his hold but pat his back. "It's been about two weeks, Gyeomie, but hi to you too." You give a quick wave to who you presume to be Jungkook, since Yugyeom's tall and wide enough to block your sight. "Hello, Jungkook."
"Hi." Yugyeom releases you, and you give Jungkook a long once over. He's changed. Instead of the lanky boy from high school, he's filled out with muscle. Lots of muscle, apparently. He still retained his looks, though.
Speaking of looks, Jeonghan stumbles back indoors with a paper bag full of groceries and a green hat on his head. "I'm back, and just in time, it seems."
"I'm sorry, but what the fuck do you have on your head?" You question him, and Jeonghan smiles.
"It was on sale for three dollars! There was a pink one, but I think the green one suited me better." You don't know how to respond to that, so you just return to your pizza slice.
Jeonghan laughs at your immediate dismissal. "Come on (Y/N)! It's the height of fashion!" He pulls another one out of his back pocket. "I even got you a matching one!"
Before you can react, Jeonghan runs over and shoves the hat onto your heat. You know he's going to pout if you take it off, so you leave it on. Jeonghan starts putting the groceries away with the help of Yugyeom, and Sehun talks to Jungkook. You are left to eat your pizza.
Your phone binging alerts you to new texts from Younghyun and Jennie in your high school group chat. Younghyun and Jae will be riding up this afternoon. Jennie had said there's an emergency, and won't be able to make it until tomorrow. That's fine. You just want to focus on your breakfast.
However, Jungkook's phone ringing distracts you. He excuses himself from Sehun and goes out to the porch to answer it. Sehun makes his way over to you. "Who else is coming again?" You hum.
"Younghyun and Jae will be coming up this afternoon, around four. Jennie will be arriving tomorrow. Everyone else is already here."
"Who's Seokjin? Jeonghan mentioned him last night, and when you were drunk the other day, you kept crying about him." You stare at Sehun for a second.
"I did what?" Oh god. What did you say about Seokjin?
"You were complaining about how he hated you, and you both were super mean to each other. You also were moaning about how you would've dated him if you two liked each other or something." Sehun shrugs. "So, who is that guy?"
"He's Jungkook's cousin. Kim Seokjin." You sigh and press your fingers against your forehead. "I knew him in high school, and we didn't get along that well. During our last year, we got into a huge argument and said some choice things to each other. He tried to apologize to me before I left for college, but the rift is still there."
Sehun hums. "Do you want to make up with him?"
You raise an eyebrow at him. "Did my drunk rant tell you nothing?"
"Who knows if drunk people mean what they say, (Y/N)?"
"Well, I do regret not clearing the air. We were young." You pause, thinking. Sehun waits. "It'd be weird, though, talking to him now, after all these years. Wouldn't it?"
Sehun shrugs. "I don't know (Y/N). It depends on how you guys feel about each other."
You hum. "Maybe I should try to mend things." Just then, Jungkook comes back in. He doesn't look happy, and Yugyeom notices immediately.
"Jungkook? What's up?" Jungkook sighs.
"Seokjin is in the hospital. I have to go pick him up."
"I can drive you back, then," Yugyeom offers, but you see him deflate a little bit. Yugyeom has missed you all, as he was abroad for work. You sigh and stand.
"Don't worry, Yugyeom. I can take Jungkook. You stay and get caught up. I've seen everyone a lot this year." Yugyeom beams at you.
"Wait, really? Jungkook, is that fine with you?" Yugyeom remembers to ask his friend, who nods.
"That's fine." You go to grab your car keys and follow Jungkook out the door. "Seokjin's at the Los Angeles Community Hospital." You nod, plugging the address in your GPS.
For the first twenty minutes, no one speaks. You don't mind the silence. But then, Jungkook speaks. "You know, Seokjin wants to see you again. He'll be glad you came with me." You laugh sharply.
"Really?"
"Really. He wants to apologize again for whatever happened during high school. I don't know the details, but I know he was sorry and beat himself up about it a lot."
You sigh, drumming your fingers against the steering wheel. "He doesn't need to apologize again."
Jungkook shrugs. "He wants to. He doesn't want you to hate him."
"I don't hate him."
"Not what he thinks, though." Jungkook is silent after this, and you think about his words as you pull up to the hospital.
"I'll drop you off and then go find a parking spot. Sound good?" Jungkook shakes his head.
"No, I want you to come in with me. I hate hospitals, and I always get lost." You sigh but comply. Jungkook's too stubborn for you to refuse. When you pull into a parking spot, Jungkook already unbuckled his seatbelt and has his hand on the handle.
When you head into the hospital, Jungkook marches up to the nurse. "Hi. What room is Kim Seokjin in? He's about twenty-seven?"
The nurse hums. "You're family, right?" Jungkook nods, and the nurse answers with a "Room 403."
Jungkook rushes, and you grab his arm to slow down. It only does a little bit, and Jungkook pretty much barges into the room. Seokjin is sitting on the bed with a book. "You're finally here, Jungkook." He notices you. "Who's this, your girlfriend?"
Seokjin doesn't recognize you. You could either say who you are, or you could hide again. You are about to take the second option, but Jungkook answers. "No, it's (Y/N)! You remember her, right?"
Seokjin takes a second look at you, and you fidget under his gaze. "Yeah, I do." He's much quieter now, and you offer him a tentative smile.  He smiles back. "Hi."
"How are you doing?" You realize how strange that question is. "Other than all the...hospital-ly stuff."
Seokjin finally breaks into a wider smile. "Pretty good. My sister got me a pet." You coo.
"Oh, how sweet! What kind is it?" Jungkook eases himself out of the hospital room without you or Seokjin noticing.
"Sugar glider. His name is Gukmul. Would you like to see a picture?" You nod eagerly, walking towards his bed. Seokjin leans over with his phone and shows you a picture.
"Very cute," you say with admiration. When you glance at Seokjin, you see him smiling at you.
You stare at each other for a little bit, awkwardness levels rising. You don't know what to say, but words start spilling out of your mouth. "I'm sorry for being so rude during our school years together. It was so rude of me. I don't know what I was thinking; you were just defending yourself."
A hand on your mouth silences you. "It's okay, (Y/N). We were both mean and rude." Seokjin smiles again, and you take note of how his eyes crinkle. "Shall we start again?"
You laugh and hold out your hand for him to shake. "Sorry, I don't think I know you. Start what again? I'm (Y/N)."
Seokjin takes your hand, and instead of shaking it, kisses the palm. Your ears turn red as he says, "I'm Seokjin."

This is def. supposed to be longer, but I really am going through a hugggge mind block. An epilogue will probably be coming soon.

Section 1 - Chapter 6
40% of you chose to send Hoshi and Joshua to get help.
> 60% of you chose not to send anyone to get help.
It’s obvious. Splitting up is too dangerous.
“I feel like, as of right now, our best option is to stick together.” You raise your head slowly, anxious to see how the group will react to your decision. Coups sends you a firm nod before turning to the others. “Tie broken. We stay together.”
“We have to go with her...” Seungkwan mumbles. Dino grumbles a bit as well, kicking the floor in defeat. “There goes our only chance of getting help.”
You glance over at Seokmin as he sighs, staring in disappointment at the ground but keeping silent at the final decision. You’re staying together, and that’s that.
( -1 Reputation: Seungkwan, Dino, DK )
You all tense up as the stranger returns from her car, smiling warmly and waving her cell in the air, “I still can’t get any reception, but I’m ready to go when you are!”
The fourteen of you exchange nervous glances as she slows to a stop before the group, hands on her hips as she waits for someone to come along.
Coups speaks up before anyone else can. “Actually… I- We… We thought about it, and… we can’t split up. Thank you so much for all your help... We really do appreciate it.”
“Are you sure?” The woman asks with a pout, “I don’t want to leave you all alone out here.” Coups nods his head again, marking his final answer.
The stranger only smiles warmly in return, tucking her cell back into her pocket and nodding towards you all. “It’s smart... to stick together. You’re all such strong kids. I suppose I’ll get going now, unless you change your mind?” Coups looks carefully at each member before turning to you. Unsure if he’s silently asking for your opinion, you faintly shake your head. His eyes harden, determined, before turning back to the stranger.
“Thank you for your help.” He says, “Be safe on the road.”
“You too... okay? I’ll do whatever I can to get help. Good luck, everyone.”
With that, she turns back to her car, waving her hand in salutations as she leaves. Her eyes linger on you for a moment before opening the car door, and you all gaze back with unsteady eyes. Snow and dust soon kick up behind the wheels, forming a cloud as the stranger speeds off just as quickly as she’d arrived.
One chance, gone.
As usual, Coups immediately checks in on everybody around him. “Is everyone okay?”
“My leg still hurts.” Jeonghan says. You turn to see him seated on a nearby rock, clutching his injured leg. As the boys move to comfort him, you suddenly remember the medicine from earlier. You reach into your pocket to grab a small pill bottle, the one that Mingyu found in the station just a while ago.
You begin to pull the bottle out of your pocket, but stop. Maybe you’re better off saving this for later.
‘’How badly are you hurt?” Coups sympathizes, “We really should move before it gets dark again.”
Jeonghan stares at his leg, assessing the damage. “I mean… I can walk. Just not all at once.”
The answer seems to satisfy Coups. “That’s alright, we can stop as much as you need. As long as we get going right now.”
“But… where are we going?” Vernon asks as Mingyu helps Jeonghan stand.
“I say we follow the road. It’s gotta lead to somewhere eventually.” Coups decides, turning to pat your shoulder, “Hey, are you okay with that? I know it’s not that planned out, but-”
You cut him off with a smile and a brisk nod, “Let’s go.”
The walk down the road is quiet. Small talk here and there, breaks every few miles, peeking over at the silent road with hopes a police car may pass by. The journey melts into a steady pattern. Walk a few miles... Stop. Walk a few miles... Stop.
At some point, you feel your motivation waning. The snow, the road, the sky. Everything looks the same. Hours have passed, and the sun’s moved further across the sky. You start to wonder if maybe this road doesn’t lead to anything at all. Your legs feel damn heavy.
You can hardly continue any train of thought before Seungkwan yells. “Guys, look!”
You raise your head to see a new dirt path in the mess of trees, winding away from the road and delving further into the forest. After eagerly following it for a while, the vague blur of buildings reaches your sights, a town of tile roofs and stone walls, bustling with the figures of other people.
Coups motions for you all to hurry, so you do. In a few moments, all fourteen of you find yourself stumbling into what seems to be an old village, run by elderly strangers who stare with pure confusion in their steady eyes. They wear heavy clothing and peek from seemingly traditional buildings, mumbling amongst themselves as you all stand between their homes and the empty path.
You turn your head to see a few older women making their way closer, hands behind their backs in a calm manner as you all catch your breath. As they approach, you take note of the neat buns in their dark hair and thick, conservative clothing beneath their deadpan faces. You’re scared all of a sudden. The other boys share nervous glances, and it’s clear they feel the same way, too.
“We… Please… help us-” Coups says apprehensively, pressing his palms together again. “We’re… we’re being chased…”
The women scan the group, clearly untrusting. You don’t blame them. The one at the center, with her hair tied up into rolls, leans into the other women, whispering. They eye the boys back and forth for a moment as Coups frantically explains everything, from waking up in ropes to finding the path along the roadside. At some point, a few of the boys fall to their knees in desperate bows, and as the center woman meets your eyes, you feel Joshua’s hand tap your back. “Just bow,” He whispers, and you crouch onto your knees out of not only respect, but some sense of fear. The woman doesn’t take her eyes off of you the entire time, so you’re surprised to stand back up and see her holding a gentle hand out for you to take.
“You can stay here for now,” She says. You almost tear up as she closes her fingers around yours, guiding you and the others into the village without a second to spare.
Some time passes, and you struggle with processing it all. All fourteen of you walk alongside the village elders with curious eyes as they explain each and every building, each and every face you see. You all ease to a halt in front of a few wide stone homes, glancing around at one another and waiting to be directed again. The woman who first stood at the center turns to you all with a warm smile, a completely different feeling from when she was staring you down just before.
“We have a few empty side houses here,” she offers, “You can split up as you li-” “Do you have one we can all stay in together?” Hoshi interrupts frantically. Jeonghan hits his arm as a warning to keep quiet, but the woman only laughs. “If you all fit in one, please feel free.”
“Thank you. God… Thank you so much for your hospitality. If we can help in any way at all, just let us know. We can cook, clean, anything to repay you… Please!” Coups laughs, clearly overwhelmed, but in a good way nonetheless.
The kind woman laughs again. “Make yourselves at home.”
The boys cheer amongst one another, patting backs and holding their heads in amazement at the sudden situation. After another collective bow, most of them are quick to skip into the nearest stone building, a few of the elders laughing as if they hadn’t seen a kid play in years. Some of the boys stay back to talk to the village people, and a few are whisked away to be bandaged up and healed. You even spot Vernon and Chan sprinting towards a towering tree, pulling at each other’s shirts as they race for what seems to be an old swing beneath its branches.
You laugh, the last one standing beside the older woman, as she turns to you with a kind grin. “And you… You can stay with me tonight. Right next door to that little house the boys went into.”
“Oh, that’s perfect! I can’t thank you enough-”
“It’s no bother at all, dear. Go look around the village. You probably miss it.”
Before you can question the woman’s phrasing, she pats your head gently, then turns and walks off. Left alone, you don’t have much else to do but look around as she’d suggested. Walking deeper down the quaint buildings, you spot the boys here and there. Those who were injured sit in front of a small shack, an older man tending to their wounds. You can see Coups, helping another man to chop down firewood.
“Nice cut, son! Aim towards the center a bit more this time.” The man’s compliments towards Cheol force an involuntary smile out of you.
A little ways away, you can see Mingyu and Seungkwan sitting with a little old woman in front of a small fire. As you approach out of curiosity, it seems that she’s teaching them to cook something.
“While that soaks, we need to peel the chestnuts,” She explains as you slow to a stop right in front of the fire. You watch the boys reach for chestnuts upon a small wooden table before a sudden voice reaches your ears, nearly causing you to jump out of your own skin.
“I have a chestnut.” Someone says from behind you. Turning around, you see Junhui mere inches behind where you stand, a couple of chestnuts laying flat in his open palm.
For the next hour or so, the four of you sit about the table as the woman explains the art of her craft. You’re thankful to spend some peaceful time with a few of the boys for once, rather than watching as they flee through the night in horror. Seungkwan smiles your way as you grab an unpeeled chestnut from the table, but the woman stands up and stops you before you can continue.
“Dear,” she says, “I’m gonna go grab a strainer. Teach them while I’m gone.”
You blink in utter confusion. You aren’t even sure what it is that you’re making. Mingyu laughs and pats your shoulder, nodding towards the chestnuts in your hand. “Well,” He giggles, “Teach us!” You can’t help but laugh too as Seungkwan and Junhui join in, pushing lightly at your arms and pleading jokingly for you to continue the lesson.
Night falls faster than you can expect it to, and for once, you can catch your breath and rest. You head back towards the stone houses after a long, relieving day, thanking the universe for such a grand blessing in the darkest time.
“Over here, dear.” You hear the familiar older woman call from one of the buildings. The one from earlier, kind enough to share her home with you, to give you shelter. You hurry to join her in the tight, candle lit room, closing the door behind you as she dusts off a newly placed mat on the floor. Next to it, she’s set a small candle lantern, and you feel a wave of emotion as you lay down and watch its soft flame flicker. Wrapped up in the heavy blanket, your eyes feel much heavier. Comforted by safety, you gently drift into a much needed slumber.
A few hours pass, just like at the cable car station. You are at peace, for a while.
At some point, a high pitched shriek forces your eyes open as you clutch your blanket in terror. Before even thinking, you jump to your feet, throwing open the door and hurrying towards the boys’ house in the pitch black night. You don’t even notice whether the older woman is still asleep or not on the way out, but there’s no time to think. You knock a few times on the boys’ door. All in one swift motion, you feel a hand grab your wrist, yanking you into the room before the door shuts closed again, as if you’d never even entered. The air is dark, the thirteen boys’ terrified faces illuminated by nothing but a faint candle in the center of the room.
“You heard it, too?” Seungkwan asks, being the one who dragged you in. Blankets litter the ground, everyone seated upon them in a circle with any sense of hope lost completely.
“Yeah, what was it?” You ask, dread flooding your body as you take a seat on the floor. No one makes a sound for a moment, then another scream pierces the air. A distant deep voice cries for help, with sheer desperation, before falling dead silent. You clasp a hand over your mouth in horror.
Minghao stares at the closed door with glossy eyes. “They found us again.”
“That’s besides the point.” Coups whispers hurriedly, “We brought them here. We brought murderers into a village full of people.”
Seungkwan winces, closing his eyes in pain at the thought. “We gotta go. Now.”
“We were finally safe,” Joshua states with a shaky voice, “I don’t want anybody to get hurt, but we have supplies here. Food. Medicine. If we leave, we’re really dead this time.”
“What if,” Wonwoo begins. This is the first time you’ve properly heard him talk. “We make it look like we left? If we hide around the village, we have enough time to get supplies. If we don’t get caught, they’ll assume we’re gone.”
“That’s too dangerous.” Minghao states, “We shouldn’t risk the lives of this village.”
Vernon shakes his head. “Wonwoo has a good point… We can’t survive any longer out there.”
“We need to leave now.”
“We’ll die without supplies.”
“Innocent people will be killed if we stay here.”
The group quiets down as their stares land on you.
“Huh?” You ask, thirteen pairs of eyes glued to your own once again.
Hoshi clears his throat. “I mean… You’ve brought us this far.”
“Why do you keep doing this…?” You murmur, praying to push the responsibility away.
“Soonyoung’s right. I trust you.” Jihoon says, staring at you with a strong look of determination in his eyes. You snap your gaze over to him in horror, unsure of how to respond to his sudden words. The memory of the woman’s scream rings in your ears, playing over and over again without rest. Leaving now is a death trap, but hiding puts innocent people at risk. There’s no time… The life of everyone is in your hands.
- Leave the village.
or
- Hide and gather supplies.

6. things you said under the stars and in the grass
member: joshua
genre: fluff
word count: 1951
warnings: uh, they drink a little, most just can’t hold their liquor
Tumblr media
The evening had begun with the fourteen of them. Everyone scattered around the small restaurant; using at least three tables. She remembered the look on the owners’ faces when seven of them had already entered the place, and more kept walking inside the warm place.
Conflicted between finding the ordeal funny and yet empathizing with the owners for having to deal with fourteen orders at the same time, she tried to keep a straight face. And as she failed, turned to her best friend the next second to hide her face in his shoulder.
“You’re cute,” Wonwoo snickered, being the only one to have noticed her besides her best friend. She didn’t see it then but as she was busy making a face at her friend, Wonwoo, Jisoo looked down at her and smiled at how she was acting. He couldn’t believe how she always managed to make his chest go warm even on the coldest night.
Before Wonwoo got the chance to playfully push her into Jisoo, she was pulled away by her closest friend next to Jisoo. “Let’s go sit,” Minghao enquired, tugging on her arm and pulling his best friend towards a table freshly set.
For obvious reasons, all the boys let her sit next to Jisoo, a few of them making funny faces and weird noises, to which she deadpanned and rolled her eyes. She had been getting closer and closer to him with time and even though the both were already dating, it somehow felt like they had kept falling for each other every day that passed.
A fairly young woman, holding a small orange notebook and a pen, walked up to their table once all of them had taken a seat, separating the fourteen individuals into three different groups.
Minghao, Hansol, Chan, Jeonghan, Jisoo and her were all at the same table, which was the largest table they had that was situated in the far left corner of the place. Seungcheol, Soonyoung, Wonwoo and Mingyu were sitting at the table directly on the right. Leaving Seungkwan, Jihoon, Seokmin and Junhui at the table right before Seungcheol’s.
She looked up at Haera–she had heard the owner call her that– giving her a warm smile before proceeding with her order. As soon as she was done, the boys around her started to take turns in taking their orders, talking so fast that she had to stop the last two boys at her table to order slower.
Unfortunately for Haera, the next table wasn’t as calm when it came to food as the first table. As soon as the four men looked up to see the waitress standing at their table, they all spoke up, their voices and orders overlapping.
Frowning in concentration, she hurriedly wrote down snippets of orders she had managed to catch in midst of the strange mix of voices. While Seungcheol’s and Mingyu’s voices blended well together, Soonyoung’s higher pitch and Wonwoo’s deep voice stood out and overlapped the most.
She repeated each order to make sure she hadn’t missed a single thing and only received positive responses. And if the second table hadn’t confused her enough to get lost in what she was supposed to write for the chef at the back, the third and last table surely had.
Not only were all four men talking at the same time, but poor Seungkwan was getting frustrated and raising his voice. It got to the point were at least two of them ended up confused about their own orders.
The poor girl tried her best to repeat their orders, getting very few of them wrong, which she found impressive given how loud and uncivilized her friends had appeared to be.
“Sometimes I wished we stopped planning these for all fourteen of us,” Jisoo muttered half-jokingly, eyes closed as he shook his head. She lightly elbowed him, trying to fight the smile forming on her face as she watched Haera walking back to the kitchen area.
The evening went on calmly, until their food arrived, which is when everyone got the loudest for a considerable time. Taking a bite of her food, she looked around to see most of the boys munching on their foods, while the others were engrossed in a conversation involving who could stuff his face the fastest.
She rolled her eyes and swallowed her food, eyes catching a glimpse of something in front of her face. Jisoo held his chopsticks up to her face, with a piece of the kimbap he had ordered at the end, ready to feed his girlfriend some of the food he knew she loved.
As soon as he saw her lean in, he placed his hand right below her chin in case the piece of kimbap fell apart. The next second, the round piece disappeared into her mouth and she hid her mouth as she struggled to chew on it for a few seconds.
“Aw, look at those cuties,” Hansol cooed, elbowing Chan who sat on his right, prompting everyone–including the boys at the table next to theirs– to look at them. Jeonghan scoffed, “Why don’t you feed me like that anymore, Joshuji?” She chuckled at the nickname and nudged Jisoo waiting for him to answer his best friend.
“Will you ever stop being jealous?” Seungcheol teased. “No one asked you, Cheol,” he retorted, his terrible acting now evident on his features. She heard Jisoo desperately sigh and pick up his chopsticks again along with his spoon, trying his best to hide despite being surrounded by both boys. “Sadly for you, he has someone already,” Soonyoung called, rising his chopsticks in the air.
At his words, she looked down at her bowl of rice and avoided eye contact with anyone. Not again. “Guys leave them alone,” Minghao cut in, eyes on his best friend with a slight grin on his lips. Jisoo’s first reaction was to let go of the cutlery and wrap an arm around her, pulling her closer to him in an attempt to soothe the feeling of awkwardness she felt.
The boys absolutely adored teasing their relationship, even the slightest bit. And luckily for them, even the tiniest fraction of teasing made her flustered in seconds. Jisoo would lie if he said he didn’t love it when his girlfriend buried her face in his chest.
The next thirty minutes went by smoothly, everyone eating silently with the occasional chit chat, until some ordered some more food, and others downed their shots of soju. Gradually, Jihoon’s table started to get louder. Seungkwan and Seokmin’s bickering was getting louder, over who was the most drunk– a scene that sadly occurred quite frequently on nights like these.
Poor Jihoon had barely drank two shots of soju and he was already beet red, right in the middle of the loud bickering. She looked around at the members that were full and on the brink of a food coma– their words– and the ones that were getting too loud and spewing nonsense.
She turned to Jisoo, looking up at him and tugged on his sleeve, “I think we should get them home.” He seemed to think about it before smiling down at his girlfriend, “I’ll call our managers.” He got up from his seat and leaned down to kiss the top of her head before walking away with his phone in his hand.
Once every available manager and staff drove to the place, the sober members helped the intoxicated ones get in the different cars. The general manager muttered something about letting the guys drink out in the open like this, while Seungkwan’s loud voice echoed in the background as he screamed how much he loved his fellow members and managers.
Jisoo stood back and informed the vocal unit’s manager that he would be walking his girlfriend home before going home, assuring him that they would be careful on their way there. “Text me if you stay the night,” his manager warned. To which the boy responded with a chuckle and a nod, “Will do.”
Jisoo went to wave his sober friends goodbye and told them to get home safely. Jeonghan assured him that him and Seungcheol would take care of everyone.
He walked back to his girlfriend and took hold of her hand, as the last of the managers got into the cars and drove off. He looked down at her and smiled, “We can go now...” She nodded and moved her hand to intertwine their fingers together. He squeezed her hand and pulled her closer to plant a light kiss on the top of her head before they both made their way out of the small street.
The walk home was quiet and soothing, and the dark sky was particularly clear despite the weather being colder than usual. He asked her if she was okay, wishing he had brought his jacket just in case, but she nodded and confirmed that it wasn’t too cold, that she was alright. They walked and walked until they got further away from town, the streets illuminated by wonky streetlights that needed a change of lightbulbs.
Despite the neighborhood being one of the safests, Jisoo felt a hint of uneasiness at the thought of letting his favorite girl walk alone at night.
Once they got to the small gates of the small house she rented, she reached to open them and pulled her boyfriend with her. They silently walked on the freshly cut grass given that there was no concrete path to her door. And as she took one last step before having to walk up the two stairs that led to her doorstep, she was stopped by Jisoo’s hand firmly tugging on hers. She turned around.
“No goodbyes?” he asked. She pretended to think for a second. “Hm, I thought you were staying the night...” she teased. “I’d love to,” he said. But he most likely had a tight schedule the next day, and it wouldn’t be fair to keep him away from the city where he would be needed early in the morning.
“It’s okay. I’m glad I got to spend some time with you,” she reassured him. He pulled her into a hug and pecked the top of her head again while she wrapped her small arms around his middle. “I wanna spend my life in love with you,” he murmured into her hair, as he held her a little closer. She squeezed him into a tighter hug at the sudden confession. “Why did you have to say that now? How am I supposed to let you go after this?” she asked in a small voice.
A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he rose his hand to stroke her hair, “I’m sorry, baby.” She squeezed his waist again, “Do you really have to go?” She moved her head to rest her chin on his chest and look up at her boyfriend, awaiting his answer. She took in the way the dark sky and the bright stars perfectly framed his face, as he fondly looked at her and let a small smile form on his lips. “I don’t...” He watched as her eyes lit up at the announcement and his small smile turned into a bright one.
He truly adored the way her eyes would sparkle when she looked up at him like this. He pulled away from the hug and grabbed her hand once again. “It’s starting to get cold, we should get inside now.” She wobbled her head up and down in a swift motion and pulled on his hand to lead him inside her warm home. Days like these would never get old, and she, too, wanted to spend her life in love with him.

Okay so. In light of seeing a lot of Seventeen on my dash lately I've decided I'm finally gonna take the time and actually stan
(It was always gonna happen eventually. I've just been busy okay?) Anyway. That made me remember this post which has been dying in my drafts for literally months, so I decided it might be fun to dig it up and share. So here we go 👍
Kjersten's First Impressions of Seventeen:
S.Coups: I remember my first thought was "How do you say that??? Is it actually 'S *space* Coups?' or 'Scoops'" (I was so confused y'all I'm so dumb) additionally I remember thinking that I always jokingly talk about how difficult it is for Jinjin to be a single father of 5 boys I can only imagine how hard it must be with 12... Aksjzjsk
Jeonghan: "This man is literally more beautiful than I will ever be wtf????" I'm very distressed by how naturally lovely he is. Like, I've seen him with long hair and he looked so pretty?? (Rest in Peace to his long hair 😔) but I was like 'oh they had to have him cut his hair in order to protect girls from being sad that he's prettier than them, lmao' but then he also looks gorgeous with short hair too so just, fuck Carat lives I guess :/
Joshua: I love you Jesus (ajdhjajs) my first impression was that he seems like that oldest brother who is practicality perfect in every way and of COURSE mom and dad don't have a favorite child, that's ridiculous (but they definitely do 👀) (don't ask me where this impression came from, I don't even have any brothers, this is just the narrative that my brain came up with)
Jun: "He looks like a fox" that was my first impression. And yeah sure, 'fox' as in 'attractive person' okay that too. But also: he looks like an actual fox imo 👀 his eyes? His nose. just like. his face in general seems very fox like to me. Like if you were doing a play where all the characters are animals, the actor who plays the fox would look like Jun 🦊
Hoshi: Clap was one of the first Seventeen MVs I watched (and I watched it a lot bc I fkn love that song) and I just remember being like "👀 who's the red head..." 😂 so that was my first impression of him. (Tomato!Hoshi was truly a gift) and we love a talented choreographer in this household
Wonwoo: I have to be honest... I mixed him up with DK so much when I was in the early stages of learning everyone's names. Don't ask me why, I just did. So yeah, my first impression of him was basically just 'which one is he??' and then thinking he seemed very quiet and sweet (the fact that he seemed quieter was how I was like, 'okay that one is Wonwoo' askdjsksj)
Woozi: I know this is very unoriginal and cliche but I have to be honest, my first impression was 'Suga 2.0' I know that they are their own different people and I respect that but they do have some similarities so that was my fist impression. On a less boring note he's also the pioneering member of the 'Male Idols (That Kjersten Knows) Who are Actually Valid and Allowed to be Called Short' club, so he will always have a special place in my heart
DK: (Refer back to the Wonwoo paragraph adjsjakjs) first impression was that he's an absolute crackhead (which once I realized this made it much easier to identify him if I was ever unsure) how does he have so much energy? I'm baffled
Mingyu: First impression: "I'm sorry it had to be this way, but I hate you instantly on principle..." bc he is 13 full inches taller than me and I just cannot abide that (this is a joke! (but also it's not... 👀)) I'm sure I will eventually come to love him once I find out more about him but he is Too Tall and that is Illegal 🚫 (I'm watching you 👀)
The8: "That boy is made of sticks literally HOW does he move like that?????" In the absolute most endearing way possible my first impression was just 'oh my God he's like, made of noodles, he looks like one of those inflable tube men' and being baffled as to how someone so lanky could be so graceful. Seriously. Minghao???
Seungkwan: My first notable impression of Seungkwan was the day All Light dropped and he made that sweet post hyping up Astro and telling people to go listen to it and I remember my first thought was like "I love you instantly and I would already die for you, you precious blueberry" (bc his hair was blue at the time 😂) and like, finding out he and Bin are such close friends just makes my heart really warm I'm so happy for them 💗.
Vernon: One of the first people I was able to recognize when I was learning names. Also the first person whose voice that I was able to identify. Also it was pretty clear to tell that he's a chaotic meme. We stan.
Dino: I've always loved dinosaurs since I was a little girl, what can I say? 😂 We know from spending one (1) minute on my blog that I am a big fan of dancers (👀) and obviously everyone on performance team (and everyone in the whole group, lbr) are phenomenal dancers so it's no real shock. But I just remember learning he was the maknae and like 5 minutes later being like "damn! that little nugget has moves!" 😂

Tumblr media
↬pairing: yoon jeonghan x reader
↬genre: fluff, summer camp! au
↬warnings: none !! (for now)
↬word count: 1.6k
↬a/n: so this is the first chapter of my seventeen summer camp au!! each chapter will be labeled with it’s respective warnings, which will change with each chapter. fluff, angst, and maybe a little smut will be in this story, but not all three in every chapter. several side ships will be mentioned, such as meanie, junhao, verkwan, and a tad of soonhoon. other groups and members from these groups will be mentioned as well, namely exid, shinee, mamamoo, loona, and the rose. not all members from each group will show up, and the ones who do will not be extremely prominent. you do NOT need to stan the other groups to read this, since i won’t be using any inside jokes or references, aside from cabin names, which are explained in the intro (you can find it here). i will update as often as possible and i’m hoping to make this anywhere from 20-30 chapters!! please let me know what you all think, my inbox is always open!!
❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀
y/n!!” you smiled to yourself as the all too familiar voice rang out from behind you while you were taking your bag out of the backseat of your car. a pair of hands found themselves on your shoulders and spun you around, causing you to drop your belongings, “oh my god, look at you! gorgeous as always. still not on my level, but you’re definitely close.”
“nice to see you too, seungkwan,” you said, smiling and hugging the boy in front of you.
“i want a hug too!” you pulled back from seungkwan to look at who was standing beside him and holding out your dropped bag to you. giggling slightly, you took the bag and slung it over your shoulder before giving him a hug.
“vernon, your hair’s gotten so long! it’s so pretty,” you complimented, tugging at a strand of hair that had fallen loose of his bandana (we’re going back to ‘adore u’ era vernon, dont @ me).
“eh, i decided to try it out. you really like it?” he asked, grinning slightly. you nodded affirmatively, “seungkwan and i just got checked in. you should go check in too, then we can walk around camp and catch up.”
“got it. i’m gonna go set my stuff down in the cabin too and say hi to the girls, but i’ll meet you by the flagpole in half an hour?” you received two thumbs up and a wave from each boy as you walked towards the booth set up in the front of camp.
“y/n, you’re here!” solji, one of the head counselors, said when she saw you approaching the booth, she and the rest of the girls in the ‘hot pink’ cabin, aka the girls’ counselor cabin, were getting everyone checked in. you smiled and waved at her, giving her a hug over the table when you got close enough. she checked your name off on a list she had in front of her and handed you your camp tote bag that all campers got at the beginning of camp. it was filled with little summer survival goodies, like a camp t-shirt that had a new design every year, a camp water bottle, sunscreen, etc.
after checking in, you made your way to the ‘wind flower’ cabin, the cabin you had been staying in since kindergarten, when you started coming to ‘camp seoul’. as usual, all four of your roommates were already there and unpacked. you had the door open for half a second before a blonde blur attacked you, wrapping her arms around your back and squeezing you tightly, before pulling away and looking you up and down.
“you look no different than last summer, y/n, just as beautiful,” solar praised, beaming at you and baring her dimples, “god, i’ve missed you.” she pulled you in for another hug before the other girls came over to greet you as well.
“i’ve missed all of you, of course.” you threw your bag on one of the beds and looked back to the girls, “anything new happen?”
“hwasa and wheein got together over the school year, but that’s about it,” moonbyul told you, shrugging and gesturing to the two younger girls, who were now holding hands. you jokingly pouted and crossed your arms.
“but now i’m gonna be a fifth wheel to you guys, since moonbyul and solar are already together.”
“you’re still my favorite girl, y/n,” hwasa said, winking at you and earning a slap from wheein.
“excuse you?”
“don’t act like she isn’t your favorite girl too, wheein.” you laughed, checking the time on your phone before getting up and heading towards the door.
“well i would love to stay, but i promised seungkwan and vernon i’d meet them to catch up, but i swear that all five of us are staying up and talking all night, okay?” you insisted before saying goodbye and walking to the flagpole near the front of camp.
seungkwan was at your designated meeting place, as expected, but surprisingly vernon was missing. instead, wonwoo and mingyu were there waiting with the shorter boy. as soon as you had gotten close enough, wonwoo turned his head after he noticed you out of the corner of his eye, a bright smile lighting up his often stoic-looking features. you grinned back and went to wrap your arms around him while saying hello, moments before you were engulfed in mingyu’s embrace soon after.
“i think you’ve gotten shorter since last summer!” mingyu teased, ruffling your hair playfully. you pouted and lightly punched his arm as seungkwan and wonwoo laughed.
“you’ve probably just grown even more, tall-ass!” you mocked, turning to face the same way as the other three as you all began walking down the path that led to each cabin, but doubled as a casual walking trail, “okay so i need to be caught up. what’s happened over the past year that i need to be filled in on?” seungkwan took a deep inhale before beginning to tell you everything.
“well seokmin fell down the stairs and broke his leg in seven different places so he was in a wheelchair for a month, joshua pushed him around the whole time because he’s an actual prince, chan finally hit his growth spurt and now he’s still short but not as much, plus he has a much deeper voice, jihoon lost a bet, so soonyoung dyed his hair bright blue, then soonyoung wanted to match so he dyed his own hair red and now he claims they’re purple together or something weird like that, jun and minghao kissed on new years eve but they claimed not to remember it, these two got together finally,” seungkwan jabbed his thumb at wonwoo and mingyu, who you now noticed were holding hands and sheepishly smiling at the ground (CUTE), “and seungcheol skipped class to bleach jeonghan’s hair in the school bathroom a few days before school ended, so now he looks even more like an angel.” your gaze swiftly shot up at the mention of jeonghan. seungkwan smiled and gave you a knowing look before elbowing mingyu next to him and pointing to you.
“yn’s gonna go nuts when she sees him. one of you two tall-asses will have to catch her when she faints,” he said, snickering with the other two boys. practically everyone knew you had been head over heels in love with jeonghan since sophomore year, except for the man himself, which you were perfectly fine with. it all started during the summer when he had hit puberty and your attention was drawn to him constantly during that month. you had always known he was attractive, but it had hit the next level that summer, when all of his features stood out beautifully. he cut his hair, which was formerly down below his shoulders, into a style where his bangs were a tad longer than the rest of his hair, and the sides were cut short, making him look princely, in a way. (i’m thinking boomboom era) sometimes he would style it in light waves, which you often liked to play with when you were both together. of course, his looks aren’t what made you fall for him. he had been sweet to you before, and you think something had been there, but it wasn’t until sophomore year that you finally understood and determined your emotions whole-heartedly. the way he changed visually just helped draw more attention to what you felt. you and jeonghan had always been closer than anyone else in the group, from kindergarten until now. though, the past few summers, you had been distancing yourself from him in hopes of relinquishing your feelings, even just a little bit. but the more time you spent away from him, the more you wanted to be around him. somehow, despite your constant awkwardness and even the most loose-lipped people in camp knowing, (cough soonyoung cough), jeonghan hadn’t the slightest inkling that you harbored a strong liking for him. and hopefully, you would be able to keep it that way.
“shut up, seungkwan,” you muttered, rolling your eyes before attempting to change the subject, “why isn’t vernon here?” at your question, seungkwan scoffed and kicked at the dirt.
“he was busy talking to that stupid jungeun or kim lip or whatever from the butterfly cabin.” you sighed before looking up at the visibly annoyed boy next to you.
“so you still like vernon?”
“obviously. but he’s my best friend and i don’t want to ruin that or whatever,” seungkwan answered, “but if i could make out with him, i’d totally be up for ruining our friendship.” you laughed before looking over to wonwoo and mingyu, who were talking quietly.
“where’s everybody else? i want to say hello to my boys!”
“i’m pretty sure all of them went to the mess hall,” mingyu said, pointing in the direction of the large building at the front of camp. you nodded and motioned for the other three to follow you there.
the second you stepped inside, you noticed that a majority of the camp was already there, due to the noise level and how crowded it was. but that didn’t stop you from easily spotting the other boys from the ‘pinwheel’, ‘chilli’, and ‘highlight’ cabins talking together near the fireplace. a smile spread across your face as you hurried to the large group of boys, who were now joined by vernon. they seemed to be so immersed in conversation, they didn’t even notice you standing by them.
“i’d appreciate it if i wasn’t ignored by you guys when i haven’t seen you in almost a year,” you announced loudly, catching their attention, a chorus of “y/n!” ringing out soon after. seungcheol was the first to stand up and hug you, almost crushing you in the process. next was the extremely hyper chan, who was now taller than you, followed by the rest of the group. when you thought you had finally greeted everyone, you tried to start a conversation with jihoon, before being interrupted halfway through your first word.
“oh, so no hug for your best friend?” you tensed up at the familiar voice, slowly turning around to see a boy holding his arms out and grinning from ear to ear.

SVT Reaction to: S/O Being Super Supportive
Anon: Good ol Seventeen reacting to their s/o being one of those super supportive bfs/gfs. Like 100% supports everything and is so proud of them. Like they sing one line and their partner will joke that it's a masterpiece already. Just generally super supportive and loving!!
S. Coups: Will be overwhelmed by the unwavering support. Not in a bad way, he just doesn't know how to react when you wholeheartedly yell his name during events.
"Ah, this person is driving me insane," he jokingly tells Jeonghan.
Tumblr media
Jeonghan: *ignore captions* "Look, everyone! This is my supportive darling. I hope you guys can return the love they always show me ~" His eyes catch a comment on the screen. "Cute? Yes, they're super cute but they're mine, please remember that!" he laughs.
Tumblr media
Joshua: Won't know how to react. Often times he can't help blushing and giggling when you shout encouraging words to him. He feels the power of your love and this reassures him that no matter how long he's away performing or practicisng, you'll always be there to support him.
Tumblr media
Jun: During a fan sign, you can't help but cheer every time Jun speaks, even if he says only one word. This rallies the other Carats to join, awe-ing whenever Jun smiles or laughs. Despite his cool stage persona, the truly sweet boy is speechless by the overwhelming support from not only you but the other Carats.
The only one (jokingly) unimpressed is Vernon: "Is this a Jun convention?"
Tumblr media
Hoshi: Deciding to show his gratitude for your constant support, he makes you dinner. Honestly, it's not the tastiest in the world but you react like it is, praising him until his cheeks redden.
"It's true," he replies, swirling the wine glass in a sophisticated manner, "I am very talented."
Tumblr media
Wonwoo: He's on a radio show, not for the first time. Except this time he's alone. He had poured his feelings out to you, revealing his nervousness and in return, you spammed the radio show with Wonwoo praise.
The interviewer laughs. "Ah, another comment ... Your face is really good looking, they said. Are these all from the same person?"
Wonwoo can only laugh.
Tumblr media
Woozi: Although he appreciates your support, the way you unashamedly praise every little thing he does makes him shy. He's very critical and hard on himself so he usually doesn't believe you, figuring you're just being a good partner. He laughs off your comments, pulling faces or calling you cheesy.
Tumblr media
DK: Sometimes, he doesn't think he's good enough. Whether it's singing, dancing, performing .. he's always second best to another member. To counteract this complex of his, you try your best to attend his red carpets when you can.
Nothing gives him confidence more than your loud words of encouragement. "I know, my legs are sexy," he yells back, grinning. The other members simply roll their eyes.
Tumblr media
Mingyu: Half of him thinks you're over dramatic, the other half 100% agrees.
"It's true, I am handsome. But do you have to say it so often? It makes my parents so uncomfortable," he laughs. "Can't you just send me memes at 3 am to show your love instead? Dog memes ... cute dogs ... in clothes ... please send me dog memes from now on." ;;w;;
Tumblr media
The8: Though he understands you're coming from a good place, he thinks you being so over the top is embarrassing.
"Stop calling me handsome like that, my cousins think you're on drugs. Can't you just kiss me like a normal person?" (Secretly loves it but wishes you would tone it down a bit.)
Tumblr media
Seungkwan: His confidence is growing the older he gets. Most of the time, he can't help but smile at your encouragement and admit, "Ah, I am talented, aren't I?" But he can't help when insecurity sometimes seeps in, making him doubt your support. Luckily, he talks to you about these moments and thanks to your love, they're less frequent as time goes on!
Tumblr media
Vernon: *smug mode activated* The more you praise him, the more he thinks he's untouchable. You help boost his confidence (which was high already) & the guys ban you from attending promotions because you're "too annoying."
(Vernon sneaks you in anyway bc he loves to cause them suffering.)
Tumblr media
Dino: Unfortunately, he's the least popular member. You tell him that polls don't reflect the truth but he knows it's true. Less fans shout his name, less fans have his names on banners, a lot of people request other members when he broadcasts. So whenever you put your whole heart into making a banner to hold during a concert with his name, or wear merch with his name; it really means a lot.
"Even if I don't have many fans, I'm happy that you're one of them."

Seventeen: Fate & Desire (part 3)

Summary: You know you’ve found your soulmate when your pendant turns red. It’s just your luck you meet an entire host club of 13 boys – save for your best friend, Jeonghan, and his boyfriend – all at once. Your pendant is now red, and all of theirs are always hidden in their shirts. But one person in particular kind of makes you want to forget about the whole “fate” thing.

You arrived to the makeshift dressing room with Jeonghan at 6:30. Like last time, you were met with the boys getting ready. This time, however, some were walking around shirtless, some were walking around without pants, and some were just straight-up in their boxers. Did anyone make any panicked moves to put clothes on once you entered, though? No, not at all. Either they were all very confident and proud in their bodies or they were just used to your presence already.
‘Does that mean I’m changing in front of all of them too?’ you wondered to yourself.
Seungcheol strode up to your wearing grey sweatpants that hung low on his hips, and -- fortunately for you -- no shirt. He grinned at you, his warm chocolate eyes hypnotizing you almost immediately. “Glad to see you again.”
“Likewise.” you smiled back at him, trying to make it as casual as possible since you weren’t sure if Seungcheol said anything to anyone else or if he even wanted them to know.
You hadn’t seen anyone say anything in the group chat about it, so you assumed Wonwoo only mentioned it that one time to Joshua and Jeonghan. Besides, Wonwoo didn’t seem like the type to go blabbing other people’s business to everyone else.
“_____, come here!” Seungkwan called, waving for you to come to the back corner of the room. He was standing in front of a screen that had been folded out to cover the back corner. “We put this up for you so you can change in privacy. We figured you’d be more comfortable that way.”
You thanked him before going to grab your uniform. Since most of them seemed to be wearing their casual uniforms, you decided to match them, grabbing your desired uniform from off the rack and going to get changed. Tossing your sweatpants and sweater to hang over the top of the screen, you tried to put your clothes on as quickly as possible just so there wasn’t a repeat of the incident you had with Seungcheol.
Once you were dressed, you let your shoes dangle from your index and middle fingers before coming out from behind the screen and going over to the other side of the room where Jeonghan was helping Mingyu with his tie. As you walked passed, the boys would stop what they were doing and stare at you, taking in the uniform that most of them hadn’t seen yet. Even Joshua stopped his conversation with Seokmin and followed you with his eyes.
“See what I mean?” Wonwoo quietly asked Hansol, apparently having told him about the uniforms.
You even saw Jun stop his conversation with Soonyoung and Minghao to watch you, although his expression was unreadable. It was like he was simply just watching a stranger walk by.
Jeonghan did a double take when he noticed you walking over, causing Mingyu to look up from Jeonghan’s slim fingers to see what he was looking it. His face turned red as he noticed it was you coming over to them.
“Well holy shit,” Jeonghan said lowly, keeping his hands on the tie of Mingyu, “don’t you look cute? I knew you’d outshine the rest of us.”
You couldn’t help but laugh softly and roll your eyes, your laugh filling the room. “Come on, don’t overdo it.”
“Can I ask how you squeezed yourself into those shorts?” he laughed half-jokingly as he looked you up and down. “Those are the tightest pants you’ve ever worn, and I see you wear leggings more than anything.”
“It’s cute, huh?” Seungcheol asked, suddenly coming up beside your and placing a warm hand on the small of your back. “Wonwoo was here when she tried them on and he had the same reaction.”
“Where did you come from?” you questioned, turning your head to look at him.
Of course, he was already smiling at you like always. “I was making sure things were all set out in the club room. Why, were you expecting a second appearance?”
Judging from the looks from most of the boys, nobody knew what he was talking about. You didn’t know if that was good or bad. Either way, your face turned redder than your nail polish at his comment, and you had to look down at your stocking-clad feet.
“No, I think that would be even more awkward than the first.” you mumbled sheepishly.
“We’ll go sort the paperwork.” Wonwoo told Seungcheol before exiting with Jun, Soonyoung, Minghao, and Jihoon.
“Don’t take too long!” he called after them. “We open doors in fifteen minutes!”
“Nervous?” Jeonghan smirked as finished tying Mingyu’s tie.
You shrugged with a tiny shake of your head. “Not really. If it’s anything like last time, I’m sure--”
“_____, there’s more people coming to see you.” Seungcheol informed you, placing his hands on your shoulders. “We had inquiries for about twelve people coming.”
You gulped, unable to look up and meet Seungcheol’s eyes. “...T-twelve?”
«─── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ───»
The doors opened and the group chimed a warm “hello,” to the guests waiting to come in. As Seungcheol said, more boys were there to see you, which made you feel like your heart would pound straight out of your chest and run out the door. You did recognize two of the guys from the last time -- that only made you nervous as to why the other three didn’t return -- but that didn’t make it any easier for you. How were you supposed to remember the names and likes of twelve people all at once, as well as keep them entertained?
Seungcheol said his greeting and welcomed the newer guests before letting everyone go off to their different places in the room. Only this time, instead of sitting with Seungkwan, Soonyoung came over to grab your hand like an older brother would his younger sister who had wandered off in the grocery store.
“You’re gonna be with me today.” he smiled, giving your hand a small squeeze that made every girl there for him swoon with how gentle he was acting. “Judging from the amount of people, you’ll need some help; someone to bounce quips off of. That’s my specialty!”
You sat in a corner of the room on a couch with Soonyoung, sitting a lot closer to him than you did with Seungkwan. In their area was Wonwoo, Seokmin, and Junhui, who were waiting for their clients to sign in. Before anyone came over to them, Soonyoung spoke quietly to you so only you could hear his words.
“I know they said you’re natural at this, but there’s a lot of people for you to deal with. I’m good with filling an awkward silence.” he promised. “Just follow my lead whenever you get stuck, okay?”
“How am I supposed to remember everything about them?” you asked as you were handed the paperwork for your clients.
He shrugged. “You’ll get used to it, but it’s only your second day. Jeonghan had the same problem when he joined, too. We would’ve paired you with him but guys get intimidated by him because, well...look at him.”
“You’re attractive too.” you assured him.
“Thank you,” he laughed loudly -- his smile was quite possibly the cutest child-like smile you’d ever seen, “but that’s not what I mean. I know I’m attractive but he’s...he’s something else. His personality is even irresistible to me sometimes. I don’t know how you managed to be just friends before Joshua.”
You didn’t bother mentioning that you technically weren’t just friends before Joshua, but you did almost slip up and tell him you had your eye on someone else instead.
You noticed Soonyoung was looking over your head at the crowd, making a weird coughing noise before he turned around, calling to Jun. “That girl that thinks you’re soulmates is back.”
Even though it was a quiet sigh that came from Jun, you still heard it. “Sometimes I wish I quit this club.”
“We could ban her.” Seokmin suggested. “If she makes you uncomfortable, then--”
“She hasn’t said or physically done anything against the rules.” Jun explained. “She makes sure to dance right on the edge of being kicked out.”
“We’d have a bad word spread around about us since she technically hasn’t done anything wrong.” Wonwoo let out a tired sigh. “It truly is a catch 22.”
“In that case,” you spoke up just as clients were being allowed over, which made it perfect timing since it meant Jun couldn’t say anything snarky back, “it’s best to just let Junhui suffer and take one for the team.”

Twelve. Twelve boys that seemed way more needy for attention than the five from last week. Hongseok and Jungkook came back but they seemed to be sidelined by the other ten boys practically begging and fighting for attention. It honestly scared you a bit -- or maybe ‘anxious’ was a better word for the way you felt.
You were thankful to have Soonyoung by your side, though. Whenever you couldn’t think of what to say or who to talk to, he’d manage to smoothly transition his conversation over to you.
“Yeah, midterms are difficult for me,” he sighed, answering a question one of his girls asked him, “but they’re not nearly as bad for me as they are for Jun. He’s not very good with math, but thankfully, our little dumpling over here has been tutoring him!”
He poked your cheek, only making them flush a deeper pink than they already were -- your cheeks were pink to begin with because you were sure you was hyperventilating from how nervous you were -- and bringing a giggle to bubble from your lips, making your clients sigh with fondness with how cute you were.
“You’re good at math?” one of the boys asked.
You nodded. “I really like math.”
After that, you blanked. That’s what kept happening, and it was stressing you out. It was like your brain was shutting down. You were a one-hit-wonder; you did good the first time and now you had nothing.
And then you panicked because you really had nothing. You couldn’t keep this up.
“Um, a-actually,” you stood up and bowed to your clients, “could you excuse me for a moment?”
With that, you tried your best to not look too hasty as you scurried toward the door to the changing room, opening the door just enough for you to slip through before closing it tightly. Immediately, you sat on the floor in the middle of everyone’s discarded clothes, and tried to steady your breathing and your heart. Were you going to have an anxiety attack? Were you already having one?
Starting to feel too hot for comfort and very light-headed, you cradled your head in your hands as you focused on breathing.
“Here.” you heard a voice say, which made you jump since you hadn’t heard anyone come in. Their voice sounded soft but stern like they were concerned for you. You looked up and saw Junhui looking down at you, holding a bottle of water out to you. “You’re going to pass out -- at least that’s what it looks like.”
You took the water with shaky hands and struggled to open it before gulping down half the bottle, enjoying the way the cool liquid slid down your throat.
“Th-thanks...” you said breathlessly.
Jun took a seat beside you, placing a cool hand at the top of your back. “Are you alright? You look like hell.”
You shook your head. “Th-there’s too many of them. All of them w-want to talk to me a-about different things, and I-I can’t rem-member their names or who-o likes what; Soonyoung’s doing a-all the talking for ev-everyone, and I c-can’t-”
“Alright, alright, calm down, speedy.” he chuckled sarcastically, though his eyes looked concerned for how hard it was for you to get your words out. “You’re getting overwhelmed. Just sit back here for a few and get yourself in order. You’re a mess.”
“I can’t,” you shook your head, “I-I’m going to mess e-everything up. They’ll th-think I’m a bad host if I’m n-not out there, I have t-to-”
Jun placed both hands on your shoulders to keep your from getting up--they were surprisingly strong despite how thin he looked. “No, you’re not going to mess everything up. I know a way to play this in your favor, which you can thank me for later, but you need to stay put and breathe for a few minutes. Otherwise, you’ll pass out.”
You looked at him with concern, sweat beading between your brow. “What a-about your clients?”
“Wonwoo has it covered.” he shrugged. “Between him and Seok, they’re very good at being distracting. Besides, they’re swooning over the fact I came in here to check on you. I am supposed to be tsundere after all.”
“You’re g-good at it.” you noted with a nod and light laugh, curling your knees to your chest and wrapping your arms around them. “You clearly show concern, a-and then follow it up by insinuating that I’m an i-idiot.”
“I call it like I see it, idiot.” he smiled playfully, nudging your knee with his hand. “Who in their right mind tries to go back into a situation like that when they’re on the verge of a breakdown? I’m surprised Hoshi didn’t send you back here himself.”
“Clearly I’m not in my right mind.” you deadpanned.
He nodded slowly. “Clearly you’re not.”
There was a beat of silence where you both seemed to stare at the same spot on the floor: the space between your feet that kept them from touching.
“Thank you.” you finally said, making him look at you. “You know, for checking on me, and also for whatever way you plan on working this bad situation in my favor.”
Jun nodded, offering you the awkward smile he was able to muster up. “Yeah, well...don’t expect this all the time. Bottled water doesn’t grow on trees, you know.”
You laughed softly at his attempt at a joke, shaking your head. “There’s the Junhui I know.”
“Are you good to go?”
“Yeah, I think so.”
Jun stood before helping you to your feet and helping you fix your tie back to your newly-buttoned-up shirt, guiding you back to the club room. He kept one hand securely on your waist while the other held one of your hands as he personally escorted you back to the couch beside Soonyoung. You had to admit, Jun knew how to put on a convincing show.
“I’m sorry, guys,” he said to your clients, “she just got so flustered, and almost fainted. Please be gentle with her, okay?”
Almost immediately, the boys looked at you like they wanted to give you the world, asking how you were feeling, if you were okay, and if you needed a break. Jun gave you a subtle wink before returning to his group of clients.
Soonyoung placed a hand over yours. “Are you okay, sunshine?”
Quietly, you assured everyone you were okay, doing as Soonyoung told you and following the lead of the situation Jun set up. After that, you had your flow back. They were all wrapped around your fingers as they fawned over you and offered different ways to care for you. Soonyoung hardly had to interject to keep up the conversation now.
From behind you, you could hear Junhui’s girls squealing about how protective and caring he truly was.
Once the clock chimed, you and Soonyoung stood, saying goodbye to your clients before escorting them out. Waving as everyone left, Chan let out a cheery, “We can’t wait to see you again!” before closing the doors.
“What happened, are you okay?” Jeonghan immediately turned to you and moved through his group of friends to hold your hands, looking you over carefully. “I saw you leave the room but I didn’t know why.”
“You looked like you were going to pass out.” Wonwoo commented. “What happened?”
Jeonghan’s gaze turned icy as he turned to find Soonyoung. “You were supposed to help her.”
“He was helping me!” you defended him, raising your voice a little too loudly. Feeling everyone suddenly look to you for the explanation, you cleared your throat, and nervously fidgeted with your hands. “He was actually doing most of the work. I couldn’t handle so many people; I-I’m sorry…”
Instead of being met with accusing eyes, you found the boys looking at you worriedly, and with concern. They did say that safety and comfort was number one.
“Don’t be sorry.” Seungcheol said softly, his voice like velvet as he came up behind you. You turned to face him, and his eyes were wide like he felt sorry you felt like you even had to apologize. Placing his hands on your shoulders, he tilted his head to look in your eyes better. “You’re new at this and I should’ve known better than to allow so many people come see you on your second day. From now on, I’ll make sure there’s a maximum number cap until you feel ready to meet with more people at once.” he stood up straight to look for someone. “Jihoon, can you make sure of that?”
“Of course.” he replied smoothly. “We’ll post a signup sheet outside.”
“Junhui helped me a lot, though, too.” you added, not wanting him to feel like you overlooked what he did for you. “He gave me water, gave me a pep talk -- if you can call it that -- and somehow managed to make them like me even more than they probably did before.”
Looking past Jeonghan, you could see Junhui toward the outskirts of the small crowd with the shadow of a smile on his lips. Typical Jun style, he wasn’t looking at you but at Seokmin, like he was in the middle of a conversation with him.
Not everyone was surprised, but a few of the boys definitely were, like Jeonghan and Seungcheol. After seeing the two of you interact during breakfast, it was clear the you and him had more of a bickering kind of relationship than a caring one. The fact he stopped what he was doing -- which could’ve severely impacted the number of clients he gets the next meeting -- to make sure you were okay was close to shocking.
“Thanks, Junhui.” Jeonghan offered, his tone a little unsure, almost like he was asking a question of if he should be thanking him.
“You did a good thing today, Jun.” Seungcheol said as a sign of acknowledgement. “Thank you for looking after our newest member.”
Jun looked like he wanted to shrug it off like it wasn’t a big deal, but that would’ve seemed rude, so instead he said neutrally, “Safety and comfort is rule number one.”
“You definitely the baby here.” Joshua chuckled, patting your head.
“Alright, everyone can get changed to leave.” Seungcheol announced, letting the group trickle it’s way into the changing room. “I’ll let you know how things went after we look through the surveys tomorrow.”
“We’re not looking through them tonight?” Jihoon questioned.
“I’m...kinda busy tonight.” he said, the hint of a smirk playing on the edge of his lips. “Can you meet me here tomorrow around 2:15?”
“Not to be rude, but what are you busy with?” Wonwoo wondered innocently. “It’s not that I think it’s my business, but we always go through the comments from the clients right after every meeting. Why the sudden change?”
“We are your best friends, anyway.” Soonyoung shrugged. “You can tell us.”
Seungcheol let out a soft sigh, seeming a little nervous about sharing this news. Clearly, dating amongst the club wasn’t something that was normal. Joshua and Jeonghan seemed to be the only ones.
“I actually have a date tonight.” he admitted, the smile he was trying to withhold starting to creep it’s way onto his lips. “That’s why I can’t read the surveys.”
“Seugcheol!” Seokmin exclaimed, clapping his hands in excitement. “Who is it?! Are they cute?! When did this happen?! Are they your soulmate?!”
“Dude, you’re yelling in my ear!” Jihoon frowned, yelling back in Seokmin’s ear to make him stop with the noise.
“I’ll tell you about them after the date, okay?” Seungcheol bartered, already starting to remove his tie -- which, of course, you couldn’t look away from. “I don’t want to say anything now and jinx it. If it goes as well as I think it will, then--”
“You already have high hopes for this person, huh?” Hansol wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. “So you must be pretty close, then.”
“I’m not giving out hints, Hansol.” he chuckled, throwing his tie into the younger boy’s face.
He quickly removed the fabric from where it covered one eye and draped over his nose. “Then can I buy them from you?”
«─── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ───»
Walking up to the ninth hole, you and Seungcheol were already comfortably holding hands in between holes now, which you counted as some sort of mini win in this hypothetical battle of finding out who your soulmate was. It wasn’t a win just because he did it with such confidence when he first slid his hand into yours at the fourth hole; it wasn’t a win because your hand wasn’t clammy with nerves and managed to not shake as you held onto his hand comfortably, even now. It was a win in your mind because your hands just seemed to fit together so perfectly. It was like two puzzle pieces finally being placed beside each other.
“You know, I’m winning by seven points.” Seungcheol informed you, checking the scorecard in his hand.
Keeping you hands locked together, you purposely walked into him to unbalance him, causing him to let out a hardy laugh that made your smile. “Aren’t you supposed to let me win?”
“It would be the nice thing to just hand the win over, yes.” he nodded as he thought over your question. “I don’t know of anyone who’s ever tried to purposefully lose. I can try but it is mini golf, _____; that’s hard to try to lose.”
You reached the ninth hole and, as always, Seungcheol let you go first. You lined up the shot but ended up missing the hole by a couple feet. You stepped aside for Seungcheol to take his turn.
True to his word, he tried to miss. However, due to the force he hit the ball into the wall, it ricocheted around a few times before ultimately going into the hole, landing him a hole in one. The two of you both gaped as you stared at the hole that his ball disappeared in.
“Are you just perfect at everything?!” you asked, raising up both hands and letting them down to smack against your thighs.
He laughed, shaking his head as he turned to face your pouting face. “I didn’t plan for that to happen!”
“I know, that’s why I’m so impressed!” you exclaimed. “Maybe if you stuff your face with food, you’ll become sluggish and less good at everything.”
“Alright, we won’t count that for now.” he chuckled, going over to retrieve the golf balls. “Let’s grab something to eat.”
Once you’d found an empty picnic table to place your clubs and balls, Seungcheol put a hand on the small of your back to guide you toward the concessions stand. You looked over the menu, trying to decide on what you wanted, when you suddenly heard a familiar voice say, “Seungcheol?”
You both turned around, and saw a group of people made up -- mostly -- of people you knew: Chan, Soonyoung, Wonwoo, and Junhui with his arm around a girl that looked vaguely familiar. Looking as if they’d just watched the biggest plot twist of their lives, the group -- minus the girl -- looked between the two of you wide-eyed.
“_____ is the girl you’re on a date with?” Soonyoung asked, almost yelling. “Jesus, I should’ve seen this coming!”
“Called it.” Wonwoo muttered although Seungcheol didn’t seem to hear it.
“Dude!” Chan grinned. “You guys are so cute!”
You blushed timidly at the compliment but your eyes kept drifting over to Jun’s arm wrapped around the waist of a girl you were pretty sure was one of his clients. Yeah, you were almost positive you’d seen her in the club room fawning over him after he’d come back from helping you. You were pretty sure her name was Bohee.
“Just don’t go blabbing to everyone now.” Seungcheol sighed. “I kinda wanted to make sure this went perfect before I told anybody, y’know?”
“So you kept her a secret?” Jun asked, raising an eyebrow.
Seungcheol frowned, looking almost...mad. “No, she’s not a secret. If you were going out with someone from the club, would you tell everyone immediately? What happens if things are awkward? Then everyone already knows you two went out and it makes things worse. I wanted to protect her in case that happened.
“And speaking of secrets, you never mentioned Bohee.” he shot back.
Seungcheol was getting pretty snappy with Jun. It was, honestly...kinda hot.
Jun shrugged. “It’s nobody's business.”
Seungcheol raised his eyebrows. Jun had made Seungcheol’s point.
“Right…” Jun nodded. “I get it. Sorry.”
You had to admit it was...weird seeing Jun out with a girl. Not weird like you couldn’t imagine anyone ever wanting to go out with him, but weird like you couldn’t describe how it felt seeing him be sort-of-kind-of intimate with someone. In a way, it felt sort of discomforting -- no, that wasn’t the word. Odd? Maybe… It was just...different. Yeah, that was a good word for it.
Suddenly remembering Jeonghan’s mission, you gazed over the five people in front of you. Chan’s pendant and Soonyoung’s pendants were both white. Okay, that crossed them off the list. You made a mental note to inform Jeonghan. Wonwoo’s was tucked inside his shirt, just like Jun’s. However, Bohee’s was red. Did that mean Jun’s was, too? You would have to talk it over with Josh and Jeonghan later.
You had yet to see Seungcheol’s pendant, but you had also been hiding yours too. Until you found out who was your soulmate, you didn’t want anyone knowing.
But then what Seungcheol said played in your mind. How you should be happy with whoever makes you happy instead of searching for your soulmate. But yours was right in front of you, just mixed in with a bunch of other guys that made it impossible to find him. Seungcheol hadn’t ever been close to finding his when he was dating those people; this was different. If you had the chance, you wanted to take it.
Your phone buzzed in your pocket so you took it out to look at it. Seeing Jeonghan’s name pop up, you had a feeling you already knew what it was about.
Hannie: Can I go to your apartment or are you going to bring Cheol back to fuck him?
Well, it was close to what you were expecting. Just in case you did invite Seungcheol back -- not to have sex with him -- you told Jeonghan to wait a bit, suggesting he go distract himself at the empty dorm Joshua was probably hanging out in since Seungcheol was out.
Suddenly, you felt someone else beside you. Looking up from your phone once you locked it, you saw Soonyoung standing right beside you, looking at you with a playfully curious expression. “So you and Seungcheol, huh?”
You couldn’t tell where this was going but you were nervous about it. “Y-yeah…”
As you were wrapped up in your phone, you hadn’t noticed Seungcheol had moved away to talk to Chan, Wonwoo, and Jun -- it seemed to have to do with the club since they looked pretty serious. You stared at his back while Soonyoung stared at you.
“Is yours red?” he asked you.
You turned your attention back to the boy beside you. “Huh?”
Soonyoung held his white pendant between his thumb and index finger. “Is yours red now?”
Deciding to to try answer this to get some information out of him, you didn’t directly answer the question. “Wouldn’t you know if mine is if his is?”
“I guess so,” he shrugged with a chuckle, “but nobody really ever sees Seungcheol's. Actually, we hardly have ours out. It’s kind of habit to keep them tucked in. Clearly, you’re accustomed to it now too.”
“I noticed Seungkwan’s is black…” you said quietly, meeting eyes with Soonyoung as they both turned serious now. “Did he ever talk about it?”
“He didn’t even meet the person.” he replied, all playfulness gone from his expression and his tone. “We ended a meeting and went to change. He started saying how halfway through he felt weird. When he took his shirt off, Chan noticed the color change. Seungkwan started bawling. He was broken for a long time but he’s...better. He still dates. He’s with a girl right now who lost her soulmate too. She’s really sweet; I hope they last.”
“Are you worried about the same thing happening to you?” you asked, leaving the question kind of open. Was he worried about losing his soulmate? Was he worried about never meeting them?
“I try to not stress about it.” he shrugged, his playful demeanor coming back slowly. “I want to like someone for who they are and not because fate tells me I’m supposed to.”
His words shocked you since society seemed dead set on just going with whatever fate had set up for them. You definitely didn’t think Soonyoung was stupid, but you didn’t expect something so deep from him. Maybe he had a point, though? But then why would you be meant to be with someone else? Thinking about it too much made your head hurt.
“Well, what if yours turned red but it wasn’t for the person you were with at the time?” you asked, wanting his take on your possible situation. “Would you feel the need to give fate a chance?”
Before he could reply, Seungcheol trotted up with his signature bright smile on his face. “I’ve got some good news!”
“Junhui finally got his last two braincells to function properly?” Soonyoung joked, lightly jabbing you in the side to make you smile, which you did, of course.
“Minghao and Jihoon went through some of the reviews from tonight.” Seungcheol continued as if Soonyoung hadn’t even said anything. “Our newest member was a very big hit. People thought it was cute you needed taking care of from your other members.”
“Does this mean I really am the baby?” you groaned.
“Chan’s gonna be upset his spot as the baby is being challenged.” Soonyoung laughed. “Please tell me you didn’t tell him yet because I want to see his face!”
“I think he can put two and two together, Hosh.” Seungcheol chuckled, placing his hand on his usual spot on your back.
Soonyoung looked skeptical. “You haven’t seen his math grades then. _____ shouldn’t be tutoring Junhui, she should be helping the real baby. ...Which has just given me an idea to get better ratings!”
His loud voice gained the attention of the four others he had arrived with, who now wandered over to hear whatever he had to say.
Seungcheol raised his eyebrows in surprise. “Really?”
“Guys love _____ as the cute girl that needs taking care of, right?” Soonyoung began, meeting eyes with everyone in the circle -- excluding Bohee. “Well, people also love Jun because he’s very tsundere -- whenever he shows any sort of caring emotion, girls eat up that stuff. So--”
“No.” Jun quickly said, shaking his head. “No way, we’re not doing that.”
“She just has to sit with you!” Soonyoung whined, begging his roommate. “It’s not like you have to talk to her the whole time!”
Wonwoo cleared his throat, gaining the attention of the two boys that were now beginning to bicker. “Soonyoung makes a good point. I don’t need to read the comments to know the girls really liked seeing the caring side of Junhui today.”
“I’m not gonna be her babysitter!” Jun stated. “Make Jeonghan do it since he is her babysitter. Or make her new boyfriend do it.”
“Let’s just not force it on him.” you said, despite the four boys thinking you would snap at him like normal. “The number one concern is safety and comfort, right? If he’s not comfortable, he shouldn’t do it. I can keep staying with Soonyoung or something.”
“We’ll figure it out tomorrow.” Seungcheol decided, going with your unspoken idea to drop the conversation. “I’ll go through the comments and see what’s best to do. We’ll see you guys later, okay?”
Soonyoung pulled you away from Seungcheol to hug you -- something he’s never done so you were definitely a bit surprised, but still put your arms around him anyway.
“Have a good time with Cheol.” you could hear the smile in his voice. After he pulled away, he looked past you at Seungcheol sternly, so you didn’t catch his weird expression that you only got a glimpse of; you just knew it didn’t match his tone. “You take care of her.”
Seungcheol laughed softly with a nod. “Of course.”
Following his lead, Wonwoo stepped forward to give you a friendly but warm hug before patting the top of your head -- though he looked kind of...off. “Take care of yourself, okay?”
Then Chan, which was the most surprising since you had hardly spoken to him. “It was good seeing you outside the club, _____!”
But that was where the hugs stopped. Junhui was now absorbed in his conversation with Bohee, the two of them smiling and laughing with each other. So he really could be nice to people without needing a reason? Was that why you were so angry that he was being so sweet to Bohee? He was so mean to you all the time without any reason. What did you ever do to him?
Well, if he wanted to act like he hated you, you could hate him right back. The only reason he was nice to you earlier that night was because you were close to passing out. If that hadn’t been the case, he wouldn’t have even looked in your general direction.
You made a point to say goodbye specifically to Wonwoo, Soonyoung, and Chan before taking one of Seungcheol’s large hands in both of yours and tugging. “C’mon, let’s get something to eat!”
Seungcheol perked up hearing your cute voice, smiling like a lovesick teenager. “Impatient, are we?”
“Yeah, go feed her!” Soonyoung ordered jokingly, pointing to the concessions behind you. “If _____ isn’t at least three pounds heavier tomorrow, you’ll be getting a strongly-worded text message!”
Seungcheol waved goodbye to his friends as they walked away. As Seungcheol took the lead toward the concessions, you felt eyes watching your back, but you didn’t bother turning around. You were too focused on the boy you were with.
«─── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ───»
Kicking your apartment door closed, Seungcheol’s lips didn’t leave yours. It started as a cute little kiss when he dropped you off, but it somehow quickly turned into...this. His warm hands placed under your shirt, his skin making contact with the skin of your waist while your hands trailed up his neck and to his hair. You knew you didn’t plan on having sex with him tonight but…
Blindly, you dragged him to your bedroom, remembering the layout of your own apartment like the back of your hand. Well, except for the couch that Jeonghan had moved from flopping himself down on it so many times. You backed into the arm and fell over backwards with a gasp, Seungcheol falling down on top of you, but catching himself with one hand on the cushion by your head and another on the back of the couch.
“Jesus…” you giggled, moving your hands away from Seungcheol to cover your reddening face. “Jeonghan slid the couch again.”
“He’s not even here and he’s making things difficult for you.” Seungcheol joked, reaching with one hand to grab your wrists and pull your hands away. “Are you okay?”
“Startled but okay.” you nodded.
“Continue?”
“Continue.”
He softly pressed his lips back to yours, the kiss quickly becoming heated again like the last time. It was like magic how quickly Seungcheol’s shirt was suddenly undone and tossed to the side, your hands mapping out the planes of his chest and stomach. He was clearly toned but not overly muscular.
You suddenly felt something cold hit your chin, and realized it was his pendant.
‘Okay _____, t’s now or never,’ you thought to yourself.
As Seungcheol’s soft lips trailed their way down your jaw to your neck, you opened your eyes and glanced down at the necklace. It was--
“Are you okay?” Seungcheol asked, feeling your sudden change in demeanor. “Did I go too far? Are you uncomfortable?”
You shook your head stiffly before taking a deep breath to regain your composure, letting it out in a deep sigh. “Seungcheol, I have to show you something...”
Reaching down inside your shirt, you pulled out the pendant with the red stone in the middle. His eyebrows raised in surprise, but he by no means seemed shocked or scared. Just a little taken off guard maybe.
“Oh…” was all he said, which only made you embarrassed.
“I’m sorry…” you mumbled, fighting back the tears that were pricking at your eyes from feeling so embarrassed by his reply. Usually he knew all the right things to say but now he was...quiet. “I didn’t want to tell anyone because I didn’t know who it was and I thought that -- well, I hoped that--”
Seungcheol shook his head, and you thought it was because he was upset or angry with you. Instead, he took your chin between his fingers, and looked you in the eyes. “Don’t apologize for your feelings, okay? You can’t help it.”
“I wanted it to be you.” you whispered, because if you spoke any louder, you knew your voice would break.
“I wanted it to be me, too.” he smiled sadly, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
But it wasn’t, because his pendant was still white.
He pulled himself up, and helped you sit up as well before reaching for the throw blanket hanging over the back of the couch, wrapping it around your shoulders before he took your into his arms to comfort you.
“It happened after I walked into the dressing room the first day.” you explained, rubbing the moisture from your eyes before tears could fall. “I didn’t know who it could be since everyone hides their pendants, but you were so sweet to me from day one. I felt like it was you; we connected really quickly.”
“I know.” Seungcheol sighed. “I honestly thought after meeting you that mine would turn red, too. Even if it didn’t, I figured it was still okay to be with you anyway. Who knows if I’ll ever meet my soulmate? If I knew you already met yours…”
“But after your advice, I wanted to just go with it. It’s just...a different scenario.”
“Yeah, it doesn’t really apply if you’ve already met your soulmate and don’t know who it is.” he chuckled warmly despite the sad situation. “In this case, I would urge you to find them.”
You looked up at him with a frown, more concerned about his feelings than yours. “But what about you?”
“I’ll be fine.” he smiled reassuringly, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. “We can still be friends, and if by some rare chance you happen to not find your soulmate among the other guys, then I’d be more than happy to take you on a second date. But don’t mistake that for me wishing you to not find them. I do really hope you find your soulmate.”
Letting out a final sigh, followed by a groan, you laid your head on his shoulder. “Why couldn’t it be you? I’m going to fight whoever decides fate, I swear it.”
He chuckled, letting your cuddle into him. “I’m sure you will.”

Poly!Hyungki
Requested: @skylions-den asked: Could you please do a poly!Hyungwon and Kihyun bulletpoint?
Pairing: Monsta X Kihyun x Hyungwonho x Reader
Genre: poly!au, college!au
Warnings: drinking, mentions of sex but nothing actually written
sorry this took so long love x
Tumblr media
Despite what most people expected, you loved working the night shift at a restaurant
It was a small family owned business, tucked away in one of Seouls many side streets
It was near a lot of pubs, bars and karaoke places, and so you always got the drink (off of both alcohol and sleep deprivation) customers coming in on your shift
And while yes, some of them were rowdy and not all that pleasant to serve, the majority of people stopping by for their mid bar hopping snack were interesting characters
You had witnessed every type of drunk person ever
The ones who told bad jokes every five seconds, the ones who flirted with you, the ones who flirted with their food, the drunk singers, the emotional ones who cried and proposed to you when their food was brought out, the ones that decided you needed to know their life story
You had met people from all walks of life; the rich to the poor, the socialites to the loners, the young to the old
It may have started off as a part time job to simply get money because you are a broke was college student but you came to love it
Also all your classes were afternoon ones, and so having the night shift means you are free to sleep in till noon if you wanted to, which you most definitely did
Plus you got to take home some of the leftover food when the place closed, so there was no surviving off of ramen for you
As much as you love your job however
Sometimes you were pulling your hair out from the stress
And tonight was one of those nights
It was quarter past eleven at night and you were four hours into your shift
And you were cursing every deity out there for sending a particular group of customers to this particular restaurant
It was a group of three middle aged men, drunker than drunk and collectively every negative that you can think of which comes with that
They had already made one of you co-workers this close to crying, so you decided to take one for the team and put your college student 'I'm too tired to give a fuck'-ness to good use
Cue the sarcastic smiles and the "of course, right away" 's in tones you would use on a toddler
You had managed to keep your patience so far, until they sent too far and you completely lost it
You were walking past their table when suddenly one of them grabbed your leg
Or more precisely, your thigh
Very high up on your thigh
Jumping in shock, you turn around to face the guy
"Remove your hand now." You say, eyes narrowed and lips in a snarl
However, the guy just smirks and moves his hand higher, squeezing slightly
Closing your eyes and taking a deep breath, you take one of the drinks on the tray you were carrying and just - tip it over his head
The man lets go and stands up in anger, and you take a few steps back as he goes to grab at your arm
Before he can do so though, a group of guys are standing between you and him, and the owner is rushing over
One of the guys, Minhyuck as he introduces himself, checks on you while the other two, Wonho and Jooheon help the owner escort the trouble group out of the building
And that is now you meet 3/7 of Monsta X
Well, that's what Changkyun keeps renaming their group chat to anyways
Minhyuk, being the social butterfly he is, starts chatting with you, and when he finds out you to go the same college as him and his friends, he is determined to be your friend
But of course Minhyuk is a total sunshine and so why would you say no to him?
You wouldn't
So yeah, now you have three new friends
Which turns to seven when they introduce you to their other friends
So congrats! Look at you making friends
Fast forward a few months and everything is perfect
The guys are now your best friends, your jobs is going well still, studying is hard and college is a hitch but what can you expect
All in all life is going pretty well for you
And it gets even better one night
It is just another night at work
It is going much better than the one from before
A group of cute tipsy girls came in and kept the compliments flowing
Even if you don't swing that way you couldn't help but blush at their cute flirting, and they really got you feeling more confident than anyone had gotten you feeling in years
There was also one old couple who had decided to tip you very generously, causing you to spend the rest of the night debating over whether you should buy yourself that jacket you want or save up for the new laptop you desperately need
What really made your night is when two of your friends, Hyungwon and Kihyun dropped by
What out you in a really good mood however is the fact that a pair of handcuffs were attached to their wrists
Snickering at their pouting faces, you take their orders before asking, "So...why the handcuffs?"
"Long story short, Hyungwon was annoying me, the others got tired of our 'bickering', so they handcuffed us together when we fell asleep on the couch before kicking us out for some 'bonding time's as they put it," Kihyun says while scowling at his wrist
"I just wish they waited too tomorrow to do so. I just want to sleep," Hyungwon pouts
You huff in amusement before returning to work, stopping by their table every now and then when business was slow (which isn't all that often despite it being almost ten on a Thursday night)
You have to act as the mediator when they start bickering over how to use their utensils, considering they are slightly hindered thanks to the handcuffs
At first they try to take it in turns, which gets them nowhere
In the end you jokingly suggest one feed the other,
At first they both grimace at the idea, though as Hyungwon gets more lazy the mother in Kihyun appears and he is feeding tteokbokki to the younger boy
At one point you see Hyungwon basically falling asleep where he sits, still chewing his food and you can't help but coo over how cute it is
Well, until Kihyun kicks him in the shin to wake him up
(You definitely notice the soft look in his eyes as he looks at Hyungwon though, something he threatens you to keep quiet about when you mention it to him)
The two decide to stay until the end of your shift at half eleven, at which point you all leave to head back to campus together
You walk between the two, allowing them to hide their joined wrists behind your back
As you walk through the streets, Kihyun makes a detour and he pulls you and a grumbling Hyungwon into a karaoke place
And even though your feet ache from being on them for hours, you can't help but give in to his excited smile, the same going for Hyungwon
So there you are, slightly tipsy from the soju and pretending to cry with Hyungwon, fake sobbing over the emotional ballad Kihyun is singing
Or you are challenging him to a high note battle, doing your best to sing 'Tears' in the original key
Hyungwon decides to become a rapper and spits out some bars, which you record and send to the group chat, leaving Jooheon and Changkyun shook with his skills (that wasn't at all sarcastic, I swear~)
The night see with the three of you walking the streets of Seoul, hands all linked and laughing out loud as Kihyun serenades the night sky and Hyungwon uses you both as his walking pillows
You end up back at your dorm, considering it was both closer and empty of roommate's (as your previous roomie had dropped out of college)
Finally managing to unlock the door, you all call into the room, becoming a mess of limbsok
For a minute the three of you just lay their giggling, before you finally pull yourself and the other two up
However, you weren't expecting them to also help themselves up, and so you use too much strength and all of a sudden you are lying on your bed with Kihyun and Hyungwon on top of you
None of you really know who initiated it, but the next thing you know you are shirtless and searching the room for something to undo their cuffs with with they continue to make out on your bed
The next morning when Minhyuk and Wonho come by with the key for the handcuffs, they get a big surprise to find you all huddled together, clothes strewn about the room and handcuffs hanging off of one of your bedposts
Minhyuk being Minhyuck decides to scream in shock, waking you all up
Getting up, you quickly throw a blanket around your shoulders before pushing the two shellshocked Ken and shutting the door, sliding down it and whining about your massive headache
Thankfully, things aren't too awkward when you all remember the previous nights occurences, mainly thanks to the massive hangovers you are all experiencing and being too preoccupied with handling that
Kihyun, the one least affected, makes you and Hyungwon drink some water and take some pills before going down to the dorms communal kitchen to make some breakfast for the three of you
During which time Hyungwon falls back asleep cuddling into your side and you are on your phone getting back at your nosy friends who are constantly asking questions by spamming them with various unflattering and meme-worthy photos you had gathered over the months you had known them
About twenty minutes go by before Kihyun returns, and when he does so his whole face is red
It turns out that underclassmen Soonyoung and Jeonghan had cornered him in the kitchen, which ending up with him bribing them with breakfast to keep them quiet
(Turns out Minhyuk hadn't exactly been quiet)
After waking up Hyungwon and eating, you decide to start the dreaded conversation about, well, sleeping together
During the talk lots of thoughts and feelings were revealed
It turns out that the teasing between the two men had built up a lot of sexual tension, which simply grew when they met you and both low-key became really attracted to you
And you may have also grown some of those lovely feelings to the two during the time which you had known them
So yay! All feelings are mutual!
You decide to take initiative and ask the two out on a proper first date, insisting that karaoke and sex the night before was definitely not your first date
The first few days are a bit awkward, but you quickly adapt to the transition from friendship to dating
And after a few dates and such you are calling them your boyfriends and there is no weirdness to be seen or felt
You quickly realise that your role in your little team is peacemaker
Just because Kihyun and Hyungwon are now boyfriends doesn't mean they tease each other any less, in fact, if anything they do it more
You never have and never will take sides however, having learned from that one time you laughed when Hyungwon teased Kihyun about his height, which ended up with being refused both food and kisses from the shorter boy
In fact, one of your nicknames is now Switzerland, and when any of the Monsta X boys have a problem with one of the others, they say they "Are off to Switzerland"
Being a photography student, Kihyun always has his camera close by and he is always taking photos of you and Hyungwon
Sometimes he makes you pose and sometimes they are candids
He won't admit it to anyone but those are his favourites; the ones where you are staring off into the distance with small smiles on your faces, daydreaming about who knows what
His phone wallpaper is one he took of you and Hyungwon in the college library, heads together while studying and the evening light spilling over you like a blanket of gold
He is also a selfie fiend, constantly sending them to the group chat you three share, and he gets pouty if you don't compliment him
Neither you nor Hyungwon really mind stroking his ego though because the boy deserves it so much, especially do wondering how much he takes care of you
Exams stressing you out? Kihyun is their with blankets and ice cream to eat while he quizzes you and helps you make flashcards
Feeling physically insecure? Kihyun is there being greasy and kisses every part of your body he loves and why (aka your whole body is gonna get some loving)
As a linguistics major, Hyungwon loves to recite things to you and Kihyun in various languages
Sometimes it will be really cheesy and romantic stuff like, "the stars wish upon themselves that they could shine as bright as you"
But it could also be something like "giraffes and eggs hide in pajamas"
Somedays he will only speak in the language he is learning, so as to gain better understanding of it
And while you and Kihyun understand why, it gets annoying having to type his answer into Google translate when you simply want to know if he wants to go out for dinner or order in takeout
He also has a habit of making you and Kihyun feel unaddressed considering he likes to dress like a Parisian model most days, in his slim for trousers and long coat with a shift you are sure he is too broke to afford
He does give good advice whenever you to shopping with him though, so you put up looking like a troll between your visuals for boyfriends because their plenty of benefits to dating the two
Such as the nights you stay in hinge watching dramas as Kihyun attempts to teach you his skincare routine (you decide to stick with your usual facewash, moisturiser and the occasional cute animal printed sheet mask, despite Kihyuns convincing)
A lot of the time dates arsenal dates, something which Hyungwon did his best to push the idea of, which wasn't hard when he reminded you that you are all broke af college students
Sometimes though Kihyun likes to treat you and take you both out to a nice restaurant or something
And though they really aren't neccessary, you do enjoy seeing your two boys looking rapper in their suits with their hair done nice and make-up flawless
(You enjoy taking the suits off just as much as you enjoy seeing them on though, if not more 😉😉)
The three of you become your colleges favourite Instagram couple (trouple?) Because y'all are just that sweet and aesthetic together
The two like to visit you at your workplace a lot, so much so that you think your boss loves them more than you do
And neither of them turn down the free food your boss gives them
Karaoke nights also become a tradition, with Kihyun taking the chance to show of by singing love songs to you and Hyungwon and being extra greasy
Which usually ends up with a repeat of your first karaoke session (handcuffs included sometimes: Kihyun loves them on Hyungwon or you)
It ended rather abruptly but as usual I don't know how to end things sorry :\

dog cafe!junhui
Tumblr media
enjoy! <3
junhui is literally the cutest thing but at the same he seems like the most oblivious person
jeonghan still remembers his interview and it was not a fancy or an intellectual interview
it was just junhui being himself and all giggly and smiley
so jeonghan is like ‘okay you’re handsome, cute, and friendly so you’re in. come tommorow i’ll tell you what to do.’
with his charms and him being all bubbly, he mostly takes the orders as a waiter
the most relaxed when recommending orders
“the chef recommends this but i like this the best!”
good thing the customer just laughs and orders what he recommend, who can resist his cute ass? no one
when he first came in and worked, no one actually knew he is chinese and after they knew their jaw dropped
“WHAT”
since junhui does not talk much about himself despite him being all mischievious and talkactive unlike minghao that forces everyone to call him minghao instead of his korean name
only minghao knows this fact but minghao doesn’t really talk much about this either
minghao knows this because he always helps junhui with his visa and other foreigner things ever since junhui found out minghao is also chinese
everyone thought junhui is simple but he’s actually more complicated than what’s everyone been thinking
once, seungkwan jokingly asked junhui about his reason why he chooses to work here during their breaks along with hansol, wonwoo and seokmin. without hesitation, junhui just replied that he saw jeonghan when he was putting the flyers and it seems fun so he said to jeonghan that he wants to work here
“....good thing he didn’t go near a club that day.”
junhui’s favourite thing in the cafe beside the friends he made and the cozy place itself is the dog
almost everytime when he’s not taking orders or when the cafe doesn’t need that many staffs, he’d be around wonwoo with the dogs
the dogs are the one that is making junhui excited and all bouncy everytime he’s going to work
until you meet him
you draw, no one knows you draw however you’re really good with your drawing but silly you only making it as a ‘hobby’
the thought of people judging your drawing is scary and you’re just very shy that’s why you never show everyone your drawings
you do light sketches like people or scenery
sometimes you draw in your room, or on a park or in cafes
so this time you decided to check out this cafe that people have been raving about
the place is really comfy for your preference so you just sat down and pull out your earphone from your bag along with your sketch book and pencils
before you sketch something, a waiter walks toward you
with a friendly smile, junhui opens up his little note that waiters usually use after handing you the menu book. “good evening, i’m jun! what can i get for you?”
since it’s your first time here, of course it’ll take more time because you don’t really know the menu. it’s not like you can pick something randomly and waste your money for a piece of cake. so all you do is flipping the menu book at the dessert section with a small ‘uum’ or ‘wait’ coming out from your mouth
“if you want a cake, the chocolate cheesecake is really good! like, there are little truffles on top of it. i don’t really know what it is but our patissier is wonderful.”
jun explained the excitedly, noticeably telling you about his favourite so you choose to trust him. ordering his recommendation along with a trusty warm rose tea before he left bringing your orders
you can’t help but find how cute jun is and how he’s leaving you such a good impression. it got you thinking, do all the waiter here act like jun? or is it just him because if it’s just him, it makes him even cuter
but you just brush your thoughts and sketch as you wait for the food to come with an earphone blocking every sounds
as time passes by, without you realizing junhui is bringing your orders. junhui figures out that you don’t want to be distrubed so he just put your orders on your table which makes you notice it
you look up and your eyes match his. you simply reply his action with ‘thank you’ and a smile, like how you handle most of the servers you encounter but junhui’s heart jumps around when he sees you smile and for him your smile is not ‘just’ a smile
“oh you draw? it’s so good!” he says, eventually crouching down and looking at your face which making your cheeks all hot and red
“thank you. but are you allowed to talk to me like this?” you ask, out of worries. you want to talk to him as much as he wants to but to think about it, he is working
junhui stands up and chuckles. “ah yeah, jeonghan would kill me if he sees this but can i know your name?”
but guess who’s standing behind junhui
it’s undoubtly yoon jeonghan himself, oh junhui and his terrible luck
“is this a mating season or something, why everyone are flirting while working these days?” uttered jeonghan sarcastically with a so-done-with-you smile
‘i’m sorry for the unconvinient. i hope his rude-ass behaviour does not change your good opinion about the cafe itself. i’ll give him a lecture about it, sorry!”
“but can i still know your name tho?”
“wen junhui!”
“okay okay i’m sorry!”
what a peculiar experience but it makes you smile. well, jun makes you smile
so before you left, you take a piece of paper and write down: ‘tell the waiter jun, my name is y/n. see you soon :)’
before this, junhui rarely wanted to go home and just played with the dogs but now? he’s jumping around and running to his home. brushes his teeth and just jump to bed, hoping that you’ll come again tommorow with your big fat smile and that cute sketch book you bring around because you’re the best thing that happened that day
good for him because you think the exactly the same thing as him so you decided you’ll come again tommorow
so you do
and at this point, junhui probably wants to fly to you because how happy he is to see you. “hello! can i get your numbers? wait i mean your order!”
you two laugh and you just shrug it off thinking how can a cute guy asks your number
“do you have any recommendation?”
“bread pudding! our bread pudding is beyooooond words.”
you know what? this boy is the cutest and you just won’t let the opportunities slip away right infront of your face
“can i order a bread pudding with a vanilla latte and can i give your tips in advance?”
junhui looks at you confused. you asked him for his hands. even with that much of confusion, he still gives you what you ask because he finds you really cute. “what are you doing?”
he asked, when you’re writing on the palm of his hand. when he realized it’s your phone number he almost screamed but he keeps everything cool because he knew jeonghan is watching
“okay a bread pudding, vanilla latte and a text are coming up. wait!”
hence you and him started texting each other
he always greets you good morning, wishes you a goodnight and just trying to get to know you and your personality because he’s attracted with you, not just your physical appearances
everytimes you visit the place, junhui seems like the happiest person on earth
what’s odd with you two relationship is that he didn’t ask you ‘will you be my girlfriend?” and you didn’t ask him ‘will you be my boyfriend?”
all you did is giving him your sketches, outside works of course. it’s a sketches of the puppies you get close with eversince you visited the cafe, a scenery that you always wanted to remember and him
“y/n i like you so much and you like me, so we’re a couple now okay?”
and that’s how it happens. junhui takes your hand and lands a peck on it. “i like you so much that i wanted to take you on dates, raise a puppy together and just be together for the rest of my life.”
you’re as red as a tomato at this point and you just replied him with ‘i like you, too’
starting from that point, junhui is the cutest boyfriend you’ve ever had and junhui would take a star if he could for you. he loves you so much sometimes he forgot about his jobs and got scolded by jeonghan because he often got distracted with you that is playing with the dogs or sketching
...... worth it
THANK YOU FOR READING AND JUNHUI IS CUTE < 3

Find Your Surprise
Tumblr media
member : joshua - hong jisoo
genre : fluff.
note : a special scenario for happy joshua day!
Tumblr media
“Babe? You here?”
Joshua called out from the front door, entering it. He just came back home from another performance and he’s so tired. However, you weren’t there like he expected. He checked every room in the house, he was a bit worried but probably you’re just busy with work. It’s the 29 December, 11 at night. He was a bit hoping for you to pop out at the 12 but there was no action, you were really not home. He sigh feeling a bit sad but got messages from his dear friends.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He smiled but frown a bit, they were definitely hiding something. He doesn’t like feeling suspicious but he can’t help that they know something about you. He sighs, changing into a more comfier clothes and went to bed after that. Time striked at 4 AM, he had a hard time on sleeping. He has been shuffling in the bed, trying any position he could to get him to sleep. He found himself missing your figure beside him. A ding came from his phone as he squint from the light that the device is giving him. He looks surprised.
Tumblr media
You feel really bad for doing this, but it’s part of your surprise and plan to do. You asked all the members for their help and you asked the manager for cancelling their practice for just one day, for Joshua’s birthday. You have been planning for days and you’re very proud of yoruself for doing this for him.
Joshua shrugged when he looked at the messages, slightly disappointed but he went out at 5 and went straight to dorm. He found Minghao in the dorm and there was only him. “Happy birthday hyung, here’s my present.” Minghao hugged him, earning a chuckle from Joshua. He opened the box and found a nice coat.
“Ah this is the thing you must be finding.” Minghao gave him a small box, Joshua curiously open it. “It’s a pick for your guitar^^ I notice your fingers always hurts strumming it.” The note inside said and he recognize the wrtiting. Minghao gave him another letter, “To our place, where we first met.”
“Thanks Hao.” He shakes his head, thinking why would he need to go to the practice room. You met him there when you accidentally enter their practice room thinking it was the room you needed to go.
He remembered your cute flustered face, saying sorry many times. You can only say a few words in Korean so he and Vernon need to be the one who talk, now you’re fluent with the help of them and his lessons. He thought about it while walking the whole way there. He immediately went to the practice room after the lady desk said him ‘happy birthday’ also.
“Happy birthday Joshua~” He found Seungcheol with Chan. “Hyung, noona gave this to us. Happy birthday!” Chan ran to get something while Seungcheol gave him the thing. He accepted, looking at the plushie he have in his hand. A tiger plushie, he won you at the amusement park at one date but it looks different.
“She ordered us to do this all, you’re very lucky to have her.” Seungcheol chuckles and Chan came back with another letter, “Rawr! Take care of him! This is our tiger couple! The first time you confessed to me? ;)”
He chuckles to himself, reading the cute letter you sent for him. He thanked Seungcheol and Chan before proceeding his birthday journey. It was a sunny day, suited for playing some sport. The boys went to play basketball and you went with them to watch over if they needed something.
You were already close with them especially him, he thinks it would be the right time for him to confess. He did smoothly and you were shock, you did like him too, very very much. He arrived at the field and found Seungkwan with Seokmin and Soonyoung.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY OUR HYUNG!” Their loud voices started to echo, making him laugh. They have something in each of their hands. Seokmin has a beanie and gloves, Soonyoung has a scarf and Seungkwan has a coat. The three of them wore it to Joshua, to which he fixed it again. “From noona~” Seokmin held out a letter, Joshia grins wanting to know your cute messages again.
“So I notice your coat was torn and your beanie has holes in it?! You also don’t have a scarf :( The gloves are just extra! Here’s another present to fill your needs! Next place is our first date!”
The BooSeokSoon trio waved excitedly to which Joshua laughs at and proceed his way to the café. It was his favorite café, he brought you there and told you that it’s his favorite. The two of you ended up going there for a numerous time, spending time with talking and joking at the same place. He entered the warm café and sigh, feeling the warm engulfed him. He spotted Wonwoo with Jihoon. “Happy birthday hyung.” The both of them greeted him.
“About time you came, good thing it hadn’t got cold.” They hand him his favorite warm coffee and some muffin. Jihoon gave him a letter, “So you haven’t had breakfast right? Eat this all the way and warm up with the coffee. Get your energy and be fast! The place we did a duet together??”
“Hyung, I thought about this would be your favorite.” Wonwoo said, giving him a book. Joshua thanked the both of them and proceed again to the park. One day, the group was offered to do a duet with anyone and the draw landed on Joshua, Jun and Wonwoo. They were surprised and find who they want to do the duet with. Joshua had you in his mind that time and asked if he can duet with you.
The show day, you and him bring a romantic song with true feelings coming out from both of your hearts, making a harmony. He was glad to show your hidden talent to all the people, he started to do more covers with you and posting them on utube.
“Birthday man, over here!” He face the voice and saw Vernon waving his hand. Vernon was with Mingyu and Jun. The three of them sang the 'happy birthday’ song until Joshua was in front of them. They grabbed all things from Joshua except his food and put it all neatly in a bag. Jun gave him a map and Mingyu hand him a letter.
“This is a map for your surprise, it’s a place you haven’t know yet? Leave the things with them, I choosed the trusted people so don’t worry. You’ll find Jeonghan on the way! One more step to meet your love, fighting!”
He smiles and thanked the three before following the map. Until a few turns here and there, he spotted Jeonghan below a tree. “Finally you came! Happy birthday my dearest friend now let’s go to the place you needed to go, hold this.” Jeonghan said and gave him an umbrella, “Things will get messy.” He got confused but held it anyway. Jeonghan led him the way and start to go to his back.
“LAUNCH IT EVERYONE!”
His eyes widen at the familiar voice but snow balls were coming to his way as fast as a lightning. He finally got the message and open the umbrella to put it as a shield, the snow balls died down and replaced by many laughter. Joshua finds himself laughing and Jeonghan pushed him slowly to the place. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSHUA!” Everyone there yelled, he couldn’t believe his eyes.
His parents, family from over the seas came to this place. There you are happily laughing and gave him a big smile. You were wearing the same colour beanie and scarf with him. He can feel the tears in his eyes and Jeonghan beside him pat his back, laughing. He wipes his tears as he walks near the place.
There was big balloons spelling out 'Happy Birthday Joshua’, tables and chairs covered with his favorite colour, various food of his favorite, stacks of present in one table. The place was in a big tent with a small stage and the other things there. The place was filled with Joshua’s family and friends, with yoy and the members. He couldn’t be more happy.
He hugged his parents and greet all of them through the mic that someone gave him. “I’d like to thank you all for celebrating my birthday, coming to this surprised. I am surprised, not knowing this was gonna happen. I’m glad to have such a lovely girlfriend who set this all up for me, she didn’t even said me happy birthday yet.” Joshua jokingly said with a disappointed voice at the end as you look down a bit embarassed, “Can I invite my girlfriend here to explain?”
You walked over him feeling a bit nervous. You took the mic from him, “I’ve been planning this surprise for days. I’ve contacted your close ones, you said you missed them and it would be nice if they really come. I-I wanted to make it come true, has your birthday wish been fulfilled?” You asked him and he laughs as the crowd cooed at the two of you, his mother was already urging the two of you to get married instead of his birthday party.
“It would be nice if you could say happy birthday to me?” He smirks, you blushed looking down.
Instead of saying, you sang him. The crowd follows on and Seungkwan brought the cake with Soonyoung and Vernon guarding the candles so it wouldn’t be blown away by the wind. He felt really happy, you gave him a wink to melt him more. The rest of the party went well, you and him got a chance for some alone time.
“How did you do this behind me back without being that obvious, you were always obvious planning surprises.” He laughs and you shove him playfully. “I have a lot of practice from the past and know how to pass your curiosity.” You stuck out a tongue at him as he chuckles.
“Really though, I was surprised. Thank you for making this a great birthday.” He said, staring into your eyes. You smiled softly at him, nearing his lips. Both of you share a sweet kiss which you can’t stand on not having it a day.
“OH MY GOD THEY’RE MAKING OUT!”
“SEUNGKWAN WHY WOULD YOU YELL?!”
“sAVE CHAN.”
Both of you part away and chuckle.
“Happy birthday my prince, you found your surprise.”
"Wouldn't come true, without a beautiful princess planning it."
