curly headed cutie ➿😍➿ My wash & go using @lorealusa @lorealhair #evercurl #shampoo #conditioner & #creamgel . I have been using these products for a few months now, thanks to @infulenster & their fantastic voxbox thang. BTW this isn't really a "review" but more of a #instablog of how I make the products work for my hair type and what I recommend doing/not doing 🤷🏻‍♀️ #bloggers lol First off, this line makes my hair smell noticeably AMAZING for DAYSSS however, the shampoo is a little drying so I have to use a homemade coconut oil & honey hair mask as a prepoo. (DM me for the recipe 😉🌴🍯). I then shampoo, condition, & moisturize (using which ever product is calling my name at the moment lol I have so many 😩) then finally I style using the Ever Curl cream gel. Air dry & pick out to fluff. This line would be perfect for 2a-3a hair. 3b-3c is kind of pushing it especially if your hair is prone to frizz like mine is. Deep moisturizer issss required! And I definitely would not recommend the shampoo to my 4a-4c hair #curlfriends 🙅🏻 nuh uh honey. The conditioner and cream gel can be used on any hair type (that's just my opinion, let me know what you think in the comments!) I actually really like the gel creme. My hair responds well to it and it doesn't dry hard 🙌🏼 ew @ crunchy curls 🤢. Overall I'm ultimately satisfied with my curls when using the L'Oréal Ever Curl line. My curls somewhat behave lol but we all know curls have a mind of their own 😩🙄😂. . How do you make this line work for you? Or do you totally dislike the line? - EverCurl Hydracharger Shampoo: es un shampoo muy suave, libre de parabenos y totalmente vegano (lo cual es genial), no contiene sal lo que le viene de maravilla a mi cabello.

Al usarlo por primera vez sentí un olor muy fuerte a coco, limpia profundamente tu cuero cabelludo, deja tu cabello sedoso y muy suave.

- EverCurl Hydracharger Conditioner: tiene un aroma bastante fuerte y similar al shampoo, deja tu cabello sumamente hidratado y tus dedos se deslizaran suavemente sin la necesidad de usar un peine.

- EverCurl Gel: su aroma es intenso y delicioso, forma unos lindos rizos que se mantienen intactos al menos por dos días (lo puse a prueba por solo dos días).

Su textura es un poco extraña y densa al tacto, diría que a la primera fue extraño aplicarlo en mi cabello.

Debo acotar que mi cabello anteriormente era rizado peor debido al uso y abuso de los tratamientos alisantes perdió un poco sus ondas pro en los últimos dos años no he aplicado ningún tipo de tratamiento en mi cabello, por ende mis ondas están volviendo poco a poco, y con la ayuda de este kit han tomado un poco más de forma.

I do not have super curly hair but it does tend to get messy and unmanageable. These products really helped to rein that issue in. They made my hair look, feel and smell amazing. So I've been vegan for ~1 year, but am only just now starting to need to replace beauty/hygiene products. I find this part of veganism much more tricky than the diet part. I very much like the loreal evercurl hair care line, but I'm not sure if it's ethical? It says on the package that it is vegan, as in no animal byproducts or testing, but then again loreal regularly appears on lists of companies that test on animals? What do I make of that? I'm in the USA if that makes any difference. Thanks!

L'Oréal are not an ethical company, and they’re certainly not vegan because they do test on animals. There will very likely be alternatives that are very close to it which are vegan, I’d recommend the Faith in Nature range in particular. Can any of my followers suggest something else that might be similar in the US?

Hi king can you drop your hair routine please?

Yup! I mostly use L’oreal Evercurl shampoo & conditioner but any product for curly hair with no sulfate works tbh. I know it’s not ideal but I wash my hair (almost) everyday & shampoo it every 2 days. After i shower I use DevaCurl supercream & coconut oil & its done.

I also use a hydrating and recostructing hair mask, twice a week bc of my bleached hair- again doesn’t really matter where it’s from as long as it’s sulfate free.

Tbh the trick is basically sulfate free stuff + coconut oil lol

I’m starting this list because as a born and bred Curly Top, I know first hand what a struggle it can be to figure out how to manage/become comfortable with your hair (and do so on a budget). So, please feel free to add, reblog, and share with the curly heads you love (Please don’t delete the source.)

1- Kiss sulfates goodbye.

I didn’t even know sulfates were a thing until it was brought to my attention. Basically, they are chemicals inside many of the shampoos and hair products that you know and love, ie; Aussie, Suave, Garnier, etc.

A couple of the biggest problem-causing sulfates are called Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate, they promote bacteria, reduce proteins, and basically leave your hair covered in a thick layer of wax that sucks all of the natural oils out of your hair. I have been sulfate free for about a year now, and anytime I am forced to use a shampoo with sulfates in it, I can immediately tell the difference in the texture of my hair. As someone who will never spend a dime over the necessary price for beauty products, I’ve compiled a small list of my favorite Sulfate free or low sulfate products that you can find just about anywhere and that will not break the bank:

-L’Oreal Paris EverCurl This was the first product I tried after making the switch and I love it. It averages about $10 at places like Walmart and it lasts a while. They have a bunch of different options in this line like gel, style milk, etc. It’s cheap and it smells REALLY GOOD!

-Shea Moisture My favorite is their Coconut Hibiscus line, where they also offer several different types of products. This is probably my favorite out of everything that I’ve used (I’m partial to the Curl and Style Milk and the Hold and Shine Moisture Mist.) They also have a wonderful set of Shampoo and Conditioner, each product also averaging about $10.
