Chicago's industrial music festival Cold Waves IX has revamped its 2020 plans with a virtual festival set for Sept. 18-20. Originally the event planned for sets by My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Front 242, Stabbing Westward, and more. Instead, it will be free of charge online, with the full schedule to be announced on Thursday Sept. 10. It will include Meat Beat Manifesto, The Young Gods, Chris Connelly, and others.  The basic rundown of the virtual festival is as follows: Friday, September 18: Kick-Off PartySaturday, September 19: The Main EventSunday, September 20: Closing Ceremonies The fest is also releasing an exclusive 15-song compilation with artists from the event. As for the live festival, it has been postponed until Sept. 24-26, 2021.
