I SAW PONDPHUWIN AND GEMINIFOURTH IN REAL LIFE!!!
AND THEY’RE GORGEOUS!!!
(I swear the video looks better in my camera roll T_T the upload ruined the quality)
I went to the Tommy Hilfiger Spring/Summer ‘25 fashion show on Sept. 8, 2024 and I saw Pond, Phuwin, Gemini and Fourth! Tumblr only lets me use 1 video per post so I picked my best one!!
Actually, I first saw Pond and Phuwin at the Tommy Hilfiger Fall/Winter ‘24 fashion show on Feb. 9, 2024!! Here’s some screenshots from videos of that day! I made eye contact with both of them!! 😁
At the first show in February there were a couple of us BL fans but we made our presence known with signs! And this time there were a lot more people cheering for our boys with signs and merch and plushies! 😁 They were all happy to see us and waved to the crowd a bunch! I even got a video of Fot making the cutest big cheesy smile! 🥰 here’s a screenshot of it!
Overall it was super fun and I’m so thankful for the chance to get to see them! 🥰
#also I’ve officially decided to get a Samsung phone cause I can’t take this terrible iPhone camera quality anymore 😓#even when I’m super close to them it comes out blurry!#and they lose even more quality with any site I upload them to!#PondPhuwin#GeminiFourth#Pond Naravit#Phuwin Tangsakyuen#Gemini Norawit#Fourth Nattawat#Tommy Hilfiger#Tommy Hilfiger NYFW#NYFW#my post

I’ll Take Care of You…
Alastor x Reader
Warning: Praise Kink, Masturbation, Bathroom Sex… I believe this is everything 😅 if I miss something, let me know!
MDNI‼️18+
Reader’s P.O.V
You just arrived home from an exhausting day from work. You quickly open the door to your and Alastor’s shared home, placing your keys and bags to the side and closing the door behind you.
“I’m home!” You yelled out while taking off your shoes, quickly Alastor appears in front of you.
“Welcome home my dear” He says in his cheerful, radio static fill voice.
“Hello honey, how are you doing today?” I asked as I pass by him.
“I’m doing quite alright, you on the other hand look terrible.” Alastor said following behind you.
“Geez, thanks Al.” I said as I took a seat on a near by couch.
“You’re not too far off, today was super busy at work. One of the girls didn’t go in and I had to do my job and hers so we wouldn’t be backed up.” I explained as I looked up to an attentive Alastor.
Alastor without saying anything grabs me by the arm and makes me get up.
“Al? What’s up?” I asked not knowing what he had in mind.
“Come my dear, I’ll help you feel better” He said making me blush at that sudden remark, not knowing what he meant by that. Alastor was dragging me to our shared bedroom and sat me down without saying a word. I noticed he made his way to our bathroom and I knew what he meant by “help you feel better”. A little sign of relief comes out of me.
“Come my dear, it is ready for you” Alastor said opening the door and extending his hand to you for you to grab. I quickly got up and walked towards him. Once I walked inside, he had prepared me a little bubble bath for me to sit in.
“Awe Al… This is so cute. Thank you for your gesture” I said turning to look at him, Alastor simple nodded as his smile grew.
“Now go ahead and get undressed and enjoy your bath, I’ll go ahead and grab a book to read as I accompany you.” He said turning around, making you open your eyes wide in realization.
(Al is going to watch you take a bath?) You thought to yourself. You looked back and noticed he had left the bathroom already and you quickly took off your clothes and stepped inside the warmth water. You grabbed your hair and made it into a little bun so it doesn’t touch the water, then you lean your head back to rest it on the neatly folded towel Alastor had placed for you to rest.
“Ah good, you already look like you are enjoying yourself” Alastor said making you open your eyes and look at him take a seat next to you near the tub. I placed my arms crossed on the edge of the tub and placed my head there, looking up to Alastor.
“Thank you again for this, such a sweet gesture” I said and it made him chuckle.
“Why of course my dearest, anything for you. Now enjoy” He said going back to his book. I leaned back to the folded towel and started to slowly work on my arms to lather soap on them. Then I felt so heavy to even continue, my eye lids were starting to close by themselves.
“Hmm” I heard Alastor say and then his chair moved, this made me open my eyes. When my vision wasn’t blurry anymore I noticed Alastor was taking his coat and bowtie off and placing it to the side, he then turns around and starts to unbutton his shirt walking towards me. I looked up at him with wide eyes.
“I’ll help you with your bath, you’re falling asleep my doe” Alastor said taking off his button shirt completely and he started to take the rest off, out of respect I turned around and didn’t look at his bare body, even though I really wanted to. Suddenly I hear his voice behind me.
“Excuse me dear, I’m going to join you now.” He said, I instantly moved a bit more to the front to give him space to join me in the bathtub. I felt the water move slightly and then I felt the skin on skin contact of our legs together. Alastor then grabs me by the shoulders and brings me back to make me rest against his chest. I am currently stiff against him, I have never imagined doing this with Alastor.
“Relax my dear, I’ll take care for you” Alastor said as he grabbed the luffa and lather my back and shoulder with soap. He was going in circle against my skin, really making me melt my stress away. I leaned my head against his shoulder as he kept going to different parts of my body to cover with soap, I softly let go of a breathy moan. I was feeling too good.
“My~ you’re quite enjoying this aren’t you?” Alastor’s voice made me come back from the daydream I was going into.
“S-sorry, it felt very good actually.” I said as I got up again and tried to shift a little on my sitting when suddenly I felt something poke me in my back. I looked back to look Alastor to the eye.
“Al?” I asked.
“Sorry my dear, I couldn’t help myself. I have quite an exquisite view in front of me.” He said as he let go of the luffa, he placed his hands on my forearm, making me come back to my position of laying against his chest.
“Like I said my sweet doe, relax for me” Alastor’s arms go around me and grabs hold of my breasts. His fingers quickly started to play with my perked up nipples, making me bite down a moan. As Alastor played with my breast, his mouth was on my neck leaving me kisses and small bites.
“A-al…” Is all I could get out, I felt Alastor grin against my skin.
“You’re enjoying this aren’t you?” I asked smiling back to him.
“Oh! I really am my dear. Now, don’t hold back and let me hear you” Alastor finished saying and quickly dipped one of his hands on to my core first paying attention to my clit. I instantly released a moan at the sudden touch in my area, his other hand still on my breast. This feeling was so much, it felt so good. Suddenly, Alastor moved from my clit to my inner core and dipped one finger inside me.
“Al! Aah~” My hips were moving by themselves with his movements. Alastor chuckled against my ear and started to whisper.
“That’s right my sweet doe, be loud for me” Alastor said inserting a second finger, he was pumping in so deeply and curling his finger right at that sweet spot making me moan out loud. I could feel his twitching member against my back. I reach behind me to grab the back of his neck to hold on to him and bring him closer to me to pull him in for a kiss, Alastor moaned into the kiss and his pumping got faster. Suddenly, he broke the kiss and took out his fingers, making me clench on nothing so pathetically needy. Alastor without any words softly pushed me off his chest and placed both his hands on my hips. I felt the water of the tub move slightly as he got closer and said in a very low and seductive tone.
“Jump for me darling~” Without any questioning, I raised myself a bit and with Alastor’s firm hold still on my hips he guided me. I grabbed his cock and lined it up with my core, ever so slowly I lowered myself onto him, feeling that delicious stretch. Alastor groan throwing his head back, slightly making his hold more harsher against my skin. I started to move slowly up and down, the water inside the tub following my motion. I grabbed hold of the edges of the tub for assistance since we were in such a cramped up place, but anything for my Alastor… anything he wishes.
I noticed Alastor was humping up, trying to meet my hip movements. I suddenly and harshly bottomed out on him making his deer like ears move back and making him bite his bottom lip with his sharp teeth.
I started to move my hips in circular motion against him, making Alastor release a whimper.
“Such a good little doe… Nngh~ my pretty little girl” Alastor was saying to me praise after praise and it was driving me wild. I proceeded to make my jumps a bit more faster, the water in the tub making splashes and making a mess of the bathroom floor. Alastor went up from my back to my neck to my hair and holds on to it tightly making me arch my back and make my jumps more sharper and smaller.
“That’s it darling~ Are you going to cum?” Alastor asked. I nodded as I kept jumping for my high. Alastor slightly pulls on my hair making me go a bit more back.
“Use that pretty little mouth of yours and speak” He said, that last part with a bit of radio static to it.
“Y-yes..” I was able to get out.
“Good, good. Now how about you ask me nicely and I’ll let you come? Hmm?” Alastor said pumping up to my hips, I could feel my knot in my lower belly about to burst. I was not even able to form coherent words to answer him, until I noticed he started to slow down and hold me in place.
“YES! Y-yes ok ok” I said frantically.
“Hmm? What was that darling? I didn’t hear you ask..” Alastor said with a smug grin on his face.
“Please… Please Alastor.. let me cum please”
“Hmm, well since you asked so nicely” With no hesitation, Alastor grabs me by the hips and aggressively started to move me up and down, my eyes started to roll back and the sudden and harsh movements. Alastor was starting to groan and huff out moans as his thrust were getting sloppy.
Then with a final thrust I felt my pussy tighten around him as I felt his seeds covering my insides. Alastor pulls me and lays my back again his chest, we were both panting and catching our breaths.
“My, we left quite a mess” Alastor said stroaking pieces of hair off my face.
“At least we had fun doing said mess” I said reaching up with my hand and softly stroking his cheek, Alastor leaned against my touch.
“Yes my dear, that we did” Alastor said showing me his signature smile.

CAPABLE OF LOVE (JASON TODD) - "and i think i need a picture 'cause it's never enough, to see you smilin in my mind when i lay still in the dark"
note/cw ~ GN!reader, fluff, angst, suggestive (if you squint), if the ending seems rushed it's because it was
“So, I was cleaning out my camera roll recently, and I realized we don’t really have that many pictures of us” you say from behind the menu in your hands, pretending to casually browse through.
He shows no reaction besides a short hum of acknowledgement, instead opting to continue perusing the multitude of diner food options in front of him.
“Like, we’ve been together for months, and I don’t think we’ve ever taken any pictures to um- commemorate anything you know?” Your eyes move up, peeking over the menu trying to see if this information garnered any kind of reaction from him.
It didn’t.
“And the few we do have, your face is super blurry in them…Probably because every time I pull out a camera, you turn away.”
He looks up for a second, but very soon turns his attention back to the menu, showing no other signs of interest.
A small sigh escapes your lips, and you lean back against the booth chair, now addressing the hunger in your stomach instead of the stubborn man in front of you refusing to acknowledge the very serious issue you’ve presented him.
Your hands flip through the worn pages, and you weigh your options, eventually deciding on a seasonal pancake stack listed in the way back that piqued your interest. Closing your menu and placing it down in front of you, you cross your arms and try to look anywhere but him.
“I have pictures of you.”
Your eyes dart to Jason, whose nose is still buried in between pages of burgers and omelets.
“Lots of them, actually.” He says, raising his eyes to look at you.
His full attention is on your face now, and no longer the menu.
“Some of you smiling, some of you laughing, some when you’re not looking…” His eyes go back down to the laminated paper in front of him.
“Some of you naked…” He trails off, and you recede even farther back into the seat, a heat creeping up your neck and towards your cheeks.
“That’s not what I meant, and you know it.”
A stupid smile sits on his face, and he closes the menu, sliding it off to the side.
“Not sure what you’re talking about sweetheart.”
“Just because you’re handsome doesn’t mean you get to play dumb.” You say, sitting up, regaining your composure. “Look, I know you’re not very fond of cameras but a few pictures of us together on my phone isn’t gonna blow your cover.” Sympathy laces your words, and you look at him with a softened gaze.
He rests his forearms on the table and leans forward slightly, teal eyes boring into you with a light playfulness but you can tell how badly he wants you to drop the topic.
“I just want a picture, one picture.” It comes out quietly, barely above a whisper; something only you two can hear. “For when you’re gone, and if you don’t come back…”
The smile drops from his face when he notices the shift in your tone, “I’m not-”
“You can’t guarantee that.” You say, holding back something threatening to break through. “Just one, for the nights when I’m alone and my memory isn’t enough. Please.”
He clenches his jaw and tilts his head down before sliding to the edge of the seat, and out of the booth.
Your eyes follow him as he stands up, and you’re sure he’s gonna leave. You shouldn’t have pushed him; it wasn’t your place.
But instead, he slides into the seat beside you, and turns in your direction as much as he possibly can. Gently taking your head in his hands, he places a soft kiss on your forehead, right below your hairline.
A single tear spills down your cheek and he swipes it away with his thumb, caressing the spot where it was.
Leaning in, he presses his lips against yours in a sweet kiss you’re eager to reciprocate. It serves as a mutual apology, an ‘I’m sorry’ from the both of you.
“I didn’t realize it meant that much to you.” He says between breaths, hands still cradling your face. “But if it really is that important then we can take the picture.”
“Yeah?”
“We can take a million pictures if you want.”
A giddy laugh escapes your lips, “you mean that?”
“Mhm, some of us smiling, some of us laughing, some of us-”
“Naked?”
A grin spreads across his face, “hey, you said it not me.” And he leans in to kiss you one more time before sticking his hand in your pocket and pulling out your phone.
“Wanna do the honors?” He says, holding the device out for you to grab.
You take it into your hand and swipe to open the camera, situating your arms in front of you to get your faces in frame.
“Okay now look into the lens,” you say, pointing to the small black dot and maneuvering yourself to be close to him. Your head is tilted, tucked into the crook of his neck, and he has a fond smile on his face.
“3…2…1.” Your finger taps the white button, capturing the moment; and you wait a split second before opening it up in your camera roll.
It’s a sweet picture, the two of you nestled next to each other with the tufted red leather of the booth seat serving as a background, and you can’t help the smile that appears on your face upon seeing your first real picture together.
“Oh, sorry.” Jason mumbles, “I wasn’t looking at the camera…we can retake it if you want-”
“No!” you cut him off quickly, “I love it. It’s perfect.”
And you meant that, because he may not have been looking at the camera, but he was looking at you with so much love in his eyes that any other picture you might take would never come close to this one.

Hi omg your writing is amazing. Thank you for serving us some good food. Was wondering if you could do a prompt with Vice Captain Hoshina and a reader with glasses?
I've recently been diagnosed with really bad eyesight. Enough for me to get a disability card. And suddenly it makes sense why I always struggle to find people in crowds or from a distance. Was wondering if you could do write something related to it? Like maybe reader lost Hoshina in a crowd. And because their vision is super blurry even with glasses, its hard to make out where he is and stuff.
I recently read your Samurai Hoshina fic and it was divine. 🙏 Keep it up you are a godsend.
notes: hihi, thank you for your request and your kind words ;-;; i hope this is okay; i wrote a little drabble so i hope it's okay🙏...!
found you!
soshiro hoshina x gn!reader mentions of a constricting, tight crowd that might be uncomfortable if you have claustrophobia and the like ;-; word count: 708
you wish you hadn’t lost hoshina in the crowd after all. when the kaiju attack was called, he’d leaped into action, even off-duty, pulling off his button-down shirt to reveal the izumo tech suit still underneath.
“stay here. i’ll come back for you later. i promise.” he’d kissed you on the head, despite your growing protests that it wasn’t safe, and quickly before pulling out his twin katanas and pushing deep into the scattered crowd to confront the kaiju threat. it’d been hard to see the fight in the distance, but you thought you saw a gigantic plume of smoke forming a hazy mirage over the horizon, and the faint flickering of orange and yellow of a possible fire. it’d terrified you, but hoshina could handle himself. you knew that much.
but now that the kaiju had been dispersed, you still saw no sign of him. you’d been corralled away along with the rest of the civilians towards a shelter, but when the defense force officer in charge of overseeing your shelter came back with the announcement that civilians were free to return back outside, hoshina was still nowhere to be found. when you’d asked the defense force officer if there was any sign of hoshina, he’d simply shrugged.
“i thought he was off duty for today.”
decidedly unhelpful, but what made it worse was that you couldn’t really parse through the crowd at all. you were surrounded by a horde of strangers, each of their features as blurry and indistinct as the next, trying to ignore the pounding in your heart. hoshina’s red eyes, the warmth of his smile. he’d said he’d come back, and there was no way he’d let just any old kaiju kill him. that was utterly impossible, right? you swallow, trying to ignore the rising panic in your chest.
and somehow, the crowd, seeming to respond to your panic, only seemed to thicken, pressing up against you.
“sorry, sorry,” you murmur weakly as you bump into a stranger. “sorry. i’m–i’m just trying to–”
the words soon die on your throat as someone from the back of the crowd continues to push you forward. you look around, cursing the fact that you couldn’t see where anything was too distinctly–you don’t even think you remember the signposts that were close to you when hoshina told you to stay put. your pace falters for a moment, as you try to gather your bearings–but before you can, you get slammed so hard from behind that your glasses fall off your face, skittering to the ground.
you drop down, trying to feel for them, because suddenly your head hurts and you don’t know what to do. you think something like a strangled sob leaves your lips.
“found you.”
you look up towards the source of the voice, even your peripheral vision blurry enough that you could only make out a vague dark shape on your shoulder, and another dark shape wrapping around your wrist–a hand, thankfully–pulling you to your feet.
“hoshina,” you say, relief creeping into your voice.
“hey,” hoshina says softly, tender fondness in his voice. your hands fumble, not quite sure what to do, and you can feel the soft subtle breath of hoshina’s shaking laugh. “lean forward for me?”
you do, and hoshina places your glasses back on your face, his fingers gentle.
he seems thankfully unharmed as he comes back into focus, but your hands reach up to touch his face, to map the way his cheekbones feel against your thumbs.
“why the hell did you run off like that?” you ask, slapping your hands on his face with a little more force. he winces, laughing–you feel the corners of his lips quirk up, the way his cheeks press up as he smiles. “and you left me, too!”
“i’m sorry,” hoshina says, only sincerity in his voice. “i didn’t mean to leave.”
“i know you didn’t–you couldn’t have predicted the kaiju attack–but don’t just rush off without giving a more concrete plan of where you’ll be,” you scold. “i don’t think my heart could take if if i couldn’t find you again.”
hoshina nods, leaning forward to press his forehead to yours.
“i’m sorry,” he murmurs quietly. “i’ll always find you, okay? i promise.”

HELLO GIRL HOPE YOU'RE DOING GOOD 😊
i wanted to request for dabi x fem!villain!reader. she loves dabi but he's a brat to her just like himself, like with everyone. and after one mission reader goes somewhere and drinks fuckload of alcohol and she's super lightweight so she's out after one/two shots. and that night she gets like tons of alcohol. so she's obviously drunk and she has no idea what she's doing and she calls dabi. and he cares for her he's just acting this way (i severely believe that he's the guy who falls for someone and IMMEDIATELY had a pushing away mechanism going on because of his past and stuff). and he comes to pick reader up and she's not even able to stand straight. like she's pretty fucked AMD SHE'S A BABY WHEN DRUNK, LIKE LITERALLY WHINING CRYING AND BEING A CUTIE. and he takes her with him and she has few more bottle hidden somewhere with her, and she keeps drinking and he's concerned because she's extra lightweight. but she keeps getting those bottles so he throws one of them out of the moving car window😆 and she's like why would you do that it was a great whiskey (or whatever she can drink). but she's not sad for long because she takes out another bottle, and he does the same thing. and after that she starts crying because it was her last bottle and he's so mean. AND then at night she gets sick because of all that alcohol she has earlier so she's having a huge fever, she feels like dying, so she whines a d cries about her feelings and him rejecting her and she confesses to him and says a lot of stupid things how pretty he it and how good he looks shirtless and stuff like that. AND then next day when she wakes up he teases her about it and she's embarrassed af, but it ends up fluff with him confessing back😊😊❤️❤️❤️
I'M SORRY IT'S SO LONG BUT I HAVE A LOT OF THINGS GOING ON IN MY HEAD AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SHORTEN MY THOUGHTS🤣🤣 I'M SORRY 😞 but i still hope you'll write it🥺
✩₊˚.⋆ RELUCTANT HEARTS - dabi/touya todoroki
CW: y/n is drunk, alcohol intoxication, communication issues, y/n's in love but dabi is being dabi, he doesn't know how to talk about his feelings, swearing, reader with she/her pronouns, non-detailed mentions of throwing up, fluff, some angst if u squint tbh.
Word Count: 4.6k
Author's Note: (i'm doing well, anon! :p) i hope you guys enjoy reading! it came out a bit longer than i was planning but oh well lol. leave a like or reblog to support!
the bitter warmth of alcohol lingered on y/n's tongue as she downed yet another shot. she'd long lost count after the eighth, the need for a chaser fading as the taste softened, dulled by her numbing senses. "ma'am, we'll be closing soon," one of the bartenders murmured, the same one who had filled her glass every few minutes without fail.
she nodded, her vision doubling with the motion. nausea crept up on her, and she sighed at the inevitable. a lightweight by nature, she usually capped her nights at fewer than ten shots when drinking alone, but tonight was a different story.
her solo mission had been successful, but not without needless resistance from heroes who showed no mercy. shigaraki had barely scolded her, while dabi took the opportunity to belittle her inefficiency. it wasn’t like her to slip up so badly, but dabi never missed a chance to hold her mistakes over her—so long as they bothered her, he’d never let her forget.
despite her hating the fact that she had to, y/n fumbled with her phone, squinting at the blurry screen before finally locating dabi’s number. her thumb slipped as she pressed call, the dial tone ringing painfully loud in her ear.
“what?” dabi’s voice was sharp, instantly irritated.
“touya…” she slurred, her words tumbling lazily. “i need… i need you to come get me,” she mumbled. there was a pause, then a scoff. “what the hell? you sound trashed. where are you?”
“uh… somewhere,” y/n mumbled, blinking as she tried to get her thoughts straight. “i’m just… out.”
“out? where’s ‘out,’ y/n?” his voice was flat, but she could hear the growing annoyance. “you’re not making any sense.”
“just… come get me,” she groaned, frustration bleeding into her slurred words. “i can’t… i can’t even walk straight.” she glanced down at her lap, where her free hand rested as she twisted the singular ring at the base of her index finger.
dabi snorted. “no shit, you’re drunk off your ass. what are you doing, wandering around aimlessly?”
“not wandering,” she mumbled. “i’m sitting.” a bit of annoyance crept into her voice. apparently, liquor couldn't stop dabi from pissing her off so quickly. “okay, sitting where?” he asked, now sounding both amused and irritated. “what? did you pass out in an alley or something?”
y/n rolled her eyes, which only made her dizziness worse. “ugh, no. i’m in a… bar.”
dabi paused, then let out an exaggerated sigh. “of course. a bar. you’ve gotta be kidding me.”
“just come get me, touya,” she grumbled, her voice slurred but laced with irritation. “unless you want me to blow chunks on someone's shoes. your call.”
he clicked his tongue, clearly frustrated but now understanding the situation. “you’re such a mess, y/n. fine. send me the address.”
“yeah, yeah,” she muttered, fumbling to type it out. “thanks, touya.” she smiled to herself. "knew you'd come through even if you're a dick about it."
"don't push it," he snapped before hanging up. even though he'd put on an act like he didn't care, she knew he'd show up. and, despite himself, so did he.
---
it wasn’t long before the rumble of a car engine cut through the night air outside the bar. y/n groggily looked up as dabi stepped inside, his usual scowl firmly in place as his eyes swept the room. the second he spotted her slumped over in the booth, he shook his head and made his way over.
“seriously?” he grumbled as he stood in front of her, arms crossed. “this is the state you’ve gotten yourself into?”
y/n glanced up at him, her head spinning as she tried to focus. “don’t… don’t start,” she mumbled, her words slurring together. “i’m not in the mood for your shit.”
“too bad. you’re in no position to make demands,” he shot back, leaning down to help her up. he wrapped an arm around her waist, feeling her lean heavily against him. “let’s get you out of here before you make a scene.”
“hey, i can walk,” y/n protested half-heartedly, but the moment she tried to stand, her legs buckled beneath her. dabi’s grip tightened, and he half-dragged her toward the exit.
“yeah, sure you can,” he said dryly, his tone laced with sarcasm. “you’re a real lightweight, you know that?”
“shut up, touya,” she grumbled, though the annoyance in her voice was overshadowed by a hint of affection. “you’re not my dad.”
“wouldn’t dream of it,” he replied, pushing open the passenger door of his car and easing her inside. “but someone has to make sure you don’t drown in your own stupidity.”
“whatever,” y/n muttered as she settled into the seat, her head resting against the window. “i could handle myself fine… if you weren’t so annoying.”
“annoying, huh?” he shot back, sliding into the driver’s seat and giving her a sideways glance. “you know, you called me. but hey, if you wanted my attention, this wasn’t the way to go about it.”
“because you’re the best at picking people up from bars,” she replied, a slight smirk on her lips. but then her expression faltered, and she turned serious. “i… i really appreciate it, you know?”
“don’t get all mushy on me,” he said, rolling his eyes. “it’s not like i’m doing this out of the kindness of my heart. i’ve got a reputation to uphold, and rescuing your drunk ass is just good PR.”
“you’re such a brat,” y/n shot back, though her heart fluttered at his teasing. “i’d like to see you handle it better.”
“please, i wouldn’t be caught dead in a place like this,” he replied, his tone dripping with disdain as he pulled away from the curb. “besides, if i didn’t show up, who else would have to deal with your mess? i’ve got a reputation to uphold, remember?”
“right, because you care so much about your reputation,” she said sarcastically, turning her gaze to the window, watching the city lights blur past. “you’re just here for the free entertainment.”
“entertainment? you think this is funny?” he replied, glancing at her with an eyebrow raised. “watching you stumble around like a newborn deer isn’t exactly my idea of a good time.”
“well, at least i’m amusing,” y/n shot back, trying to hide the smile tugging at her lips. “you should thank me for keeping your life exciting.”
“exciting, huh?” he scoffed. “more like a headache. i’d rather face a horde of heroes than babysit you in a bar.”
“oh, please,” she said, rolling her eyes. “you secretly love it.” y/n reached into the pocket of her hoodie, pulling out the smaller bottle of alcohol she bought earlier.
“love it? not even close,” he replied, his tone dripping with sarcasm. “you’re lucky i have a soft spot for lost causes.”
“lost cause, huh?” she challenged, feeling a rush of emotion she couldn’t quite suppress. she lifted it to her lips, taking a singular swig before it was snatched from her hands. a bit of it dripped down her chin, and dabi rolled his window down before throwing it out. the sound of the glass shattering against the pavement echoed a second later.
"what the hell, touya!" she yelled, using her sleeve to wipe the liquor from her face. "that was mine!" she fussed.
"not anymore," he said flatly, glancing at her before his eyes returned to the road. "you're not drinking any more tonight. it's a miracle you were even able to walk back there."
"you don't get to decide that," she snapped, a flash of anger igniting in her chest as tears pricked her eyes. but deep down, a familiar wave of emotions washed over her, stirring something fragile. "you're such a-"
"a what? a what?" he challenged, cutting her off. "a responsible person? you think i want to see you hurt yourself more than you already have?"
"you don't get it," she said, her voice trembling as her frustration morphed into something more vulnerable. "i don’t want to get it, y/n. stop doing this to yourself if you don't want to paint that image for your name."
“i’m not that bad.”
“keep telling yourself that,” he said, glancing at her as they hit a red light. “but here you are, drunk and needing a ride home.”
“yeah, well…” y/n started, but the warmth of the alcohol mixed with her frustration made her voice waver. “at least you came.”
“you really think that highly of yourself, huh?” he shot back, though there was a hint of something softer in his eyes. “just be grateful i did.” he sighed, running his fingers through his hair. “i am grateful, you jerk,” she said, her voice suddenly small as she looked down at her lap, fiddling with the ring on her finger. “you’re the only one who shows up when i need help.”
“yeah, well, don’t go getting all sappy on me,” he warned, trying to maintain his usual bravado, but the way his eyes softened gave him away. “it’s not like i’m doing this for the accolades.”
“sure, keep pretending you don’t care,” she replied, feeling the warmth of vulnerability creeping in. “but i see through your tough-guy act.” she shrugged.
“whatever,” he said, pulling into her driveway and turning off the engine. “let’s get you inside before you throw up in my car.”
“you just want to get rid of me,” she teased, but there was an undercurrent of something more serious beneath her words.
“you’re not wrong,” he said, smirking as he opened the door for her. “but it’s not because i don’t want you around. it’s just that your idea of a good time and mine are clearly on different planets.”
“how sweet of you, really,” she said dryly, though with a tone of sarcasm. “you’re lucky i’m feeling generous tonight.”
“generous? is that what you’re calling this?” he laughed, helping her out of the car and steadying her as she swayed slightly. “more like a recipe for disaster,” he retorted with a snarky tone. “shut up, touya,” she said, her voice softer now as they walked toward the door. “just… thanks for being here.”
“don’t mention it,” he replied, his tone lightening a bit. “but if you ever do this again, i’m leaving you to fend for yourself.”
“noted,” she said, a little too aware of how much she wished she could reach out and grab his hand, the feelings simmering beneath the surface threatening to spill over. “but you’re going to be there. i know it.”
“yeah, yeah,” he muttered, shaking his head as he watched her fumble with her keys. “just don’t go falling for me or something.”
her heart raced and she stayed silent, making dabi give her a glance that showed him trying to read her expression. she made sure to turn away from him, especially when he called her name. “gonna try to get some sleep,” she quickly said, using the guardrail to get upstairs and to her room.
y/n felt the wave of nausea wash over her as she laid on her bed, the world spinning around her. the bitter warmth of the alcohol still lingered on her tongue, a reminder of the night’s escapades. she groaned softly, squeezing her eyes shut, trying to block out the throbbing in her head. as the room tilted and swayed, she pushed herself up just enough to pull the blankets over her body, seeking comfort in their warmth.
it wasn't long before she heard the familiar sound of the door creaking open. dabi stepped inside, his usual scowl firmly in place as he leaned against the doorframe. “what a sight,” he muttered, glancing around her room. “you look like you’ve been through a blender.”
“thanks for the compliment,” y/n mumbled, her voice barely above a whisper. she felt a bit of embarrassment wash over her as dabi sauntered over and sat on the edge of her bed, pulling out his phone to scroll through it. a part of her wanted to feel grateful, but the way he acted—like he was doing her a favor—was hard to ignore.
---
half an hour ticked by, the silence punctuated only by the sound of his scrolling. but y/n's nausea began to build again, the urge to throw up clawing at her insides like a feral animal. she bit her lip, feeling the heat rise in her throat as she fought against it, but it was no use.
"touya," she whispered, her voice hoarse and shaky. he glanced at her, raising an eyebrow. "hey, you alright?" he asked, but his tone was more sarcastic than concerned.
"not really," she muttered, clutching her stomach. before he could retort, she stumbled toward the bathroom, barely managing to reach the toilet before the contents of her stomach surged forth.
"nice going, genius," dabi called after her, his voice dripping with mockery. "you're really winning at this whole 'not throwing up' thing."
y/n heaved, feeling the world tilt precariously beneath her. the bitter taste of the alcohol mixed with the remnants of her dinner assaulted her senses, and she groaned, tears brimming in her eyes.
dabi was right behind her, his cool presence both annoying and comforting as he knelt beside her. "just breathe, y/n," he murmured, his voice low and steady. "try not to make this a regular thing, okay? i’ve got better things to do than babysit you."
as she gasped for air, she could feel his hand resting gently on her back, and despite his snark, there was a genuine concern in his touch. leaning into his hand, she felt a flicker of gratitude amid the chaos.
finally, the wave of nausea receded, leaving her breathless and trembling. dabi stayed close, waiting until she could lift her head and look at him. "feeling better?" he asked, his tone still laced with sarcasm.
"yeah," she whispered, her voice thick with sleepiness.
y/n felt like a train wreck as she sat hunched over the toilet, the remnants of her night swirling in her stomach like a storm. the bitter warmth of the alcohol lingered, and each heave felt like a betrayal to her body. just when she thought she was done, another wave hit her, and she groaned in frustration.
"seriously?" dabi’s voice cut through the haze, low and unimpressed. he leaned against the bathroom doorframe, arms crossed, his expression somewhere between annoyance and concern. "you’ve got to be the worst drunk i’ve ever seen."
"thanks for the encouragement," she managed, glaring at him with half fury, half exhaustion. "what are you doing here, anyway? i thought you didn’t want to babysit me."
"don’t flatter yourself," he shot back, but there was an undercurrent of something softer in his eyes. "i just didn’t want to deal with you throwing up in my car. that’s a real hassle."
"nice to know my well-being is your top priority," she replied sarcastically, but the dizziness made it hard to keep up her bravado. she stumbled back into her room, leaning against the wall as she caught her breath.
dabi followed, eyeing her critically. "you didn’t answer my question earlier, you know. when i said, 'don’t go falling for me,' you totally dodged that." his tone was light, but there was a seriousness in his gaze.
y/n rolled her eyes, trying to brush it off. "what do you care, anyway? you’re always so mean to me!"
crossing his arms again as he leaned against the wall "you don’t get to deflect now. just tell me, why didn’t you respond?"
"maybe i didn’t think it was worth addressing," she replied, her voice shaky, but his intensity made it hard to dismiss him. "really? because it sounded like you were trying to avoid something," he said, narrowing his gaze.
she let out a frustrated huff, flopping onto her bed. "i don’t know, touya. you make it hard to breathe sometimes. i get that you think you’re being helpful, but your sarcasm feels like a shield. and it hurts because i—"
"what is it, y/n?"
"i can’t help but feel something for you," she blurted out, exasperated. "even though you’re mean and a total brat, i… i like having you around, even when you act like you don’t care. and that just makes me feel more frustrated, like i’m some lost cause."
"y/n," he began, but she wasn’t done.
"you push me away, and i don’t understand why. you’re so pretty and infuriatingly attractive, and i hate that i’m drawn to you, but here we are." she sighed, the weight of her confession pressing heavily on her. "and i’m sorry for being a mess. i really am, but sometimes it feels like you’re the only one who sees me. even if it’s from a distance."
dabi watched her in silence, his expression shifting from annoyance to something deeper. "you think that’s what i’m doing?" he asked finally, a hint of vulnerability creeping into his voice. "pushing you away?"
"maybe," she admitted, feeling the heaviness of the alcohol wrapping around her thoughts. "i don’t know. i just… i feel like every time i try to get closer, you shut me out. it’s like you want to keep me at arm’s length."
he was quiet for a moment, and she could see the gears turning in his head. "and you think i want you to feel like shit?" he asked finally, his tone softer now. "you’re not some joke to me, y/n. you’re just… complicated."
"complicated, huh?" she snorted, her frustration bubbling back to the surface. "that’s one way to put it. you’re so busy being an asshole that you don’t see how much i wish things were different."
"different how?" dabi asked, genuinely intrigued, and for a moment, it felt like she had his full attention.
y/n fidgeted on the bed, her heart racing as she tried to gather her thoughts. "different as in… sometimes i wish you could see me for more than just a nuisance," she said, her voice trembling slightly. "i get that i can be a mess, but it feels like i’m always just… your project to fix."
dabi shifted his weight, an unreadable expression on his face. "you really think i see you that way?" he asked, his tone surprisingly soft.
"i don’t know," she replied, frustration creeping back in. "you’re always so wrapped up in your own world, and it makes me feel like i’m chasing after you for attention. i guess… i just wish you could let me in. i want to be someone you want around, not just someone you tolerate."
he remained silent, watching her with an intensity that made her heart flutter and ache all at once. "you’re not just a project, y/n." he finally said, his voice low. "but you’ve got to understand that i’m not great at this stuff. i’m not the guy who knows how to make things easy."
"yeah, i get that. but…" she sighed, struggling to find the right words. "it’s hard not to feel something more when you’re the one who shows up for me, even when i’m at my lowest. it’s like i can’t help but want you to be part of my life, in every way. and that scares me."
dabi opened his mouth as if to respond, but then fell silent again, letting the weight of her words hang between them. y/n could feel the tears pricking at her eyes, and she quickly wiped them away, not wanting to show that kind of vulnerability. "i’m such a dumbass," she mumbled, forcing a laugh that didn’t reach her eyes. "i shouldn’t be pouring my heart out to you when i’m like this."
"y/n—"
"no, really, forget it," she interrupted, her voice cracking. "i just… i don’t want you to think i’m some lovesick idiot or anything. it’s just hard to ignore what i feel when you’re right here, acting like you don’t care. i’m sorry for being such a mess."
dabi let out a sigh, unable to speak, and only shook his head in frustration. y/n wasn’t the only one at a crossroads. he too knew that there was something up with the way he felt. he always felt it, but the feeling only got stronger when he was around y/n. the feelings brought him confusion, and dabi hated that feeling, hence the reason why he took it out on y/n anytime they were in the same vicinity of one another.
right now, he was failing to realize his true feelings. he failed to point out what it was exactly. he hated the feeling, and as he stared down at y/n, whose eyes were gradually heavying with sleep as stray tears dried, it only worsened.
he knew something was there, and it killed him since he didn’t know what.
---
as the morning light streamed through the curtains, y/n slowly stirred awake on her bed, the remnants of last night flooding her mind like a relentless tide. the dull ache in her head reminded her of the shots she'd had-and the impulsive confession she'd made to dabi. she sat up, rubbing her temples, and glanced around her room, half-expecting to find him sprawled beside her. but the bed was empty, and a wave of relief washed over her.
after a moment, she swung her legs over the side of the bed, the wooden floor cool against her bare feet. y/n took a deep breath, trying to steady her racing thoughts. she stood up, feeling slightly unsteady, and made her way to the bathroom to splash some water on her face and brush the taste of last night's mistakes from her mouth. the cool water helped, but did little to erase the embarrassment now gnawing at her chest.
once she felt somewhat human again, she headed downstairs, the house settling into its usual stillness. glancing into the living room, y/n was surprised to see dabi lying on the couch, still fast asleep. the sight of him made her cringe, her mind replaying fragments of last night's disaster. she sighed, scolding herself as she stepped into the kitchen and set the kettle on the stove.
the kettle's whistle was loud, painfully so, and she cringed, knowing it might wake him. grabbing two mugs from the cabinet, she placed them on the counter, her mind swirling with thoughts of how to navigate the morning ahead. she wanted to avoid him, but the temptation to face him and clear the air was stronger.
while the memories of the night were hazy, she recalled enough to feel mortified-her indirect confession, the sting of tears, and the bitter taste of regret. she felt like a mess, and her pounding headache only confirmed it.
y/n rubbed her eyes, trying to shake the weight of last night's events, but dabi's voice cut through her thoughts.
"morning."
she poured hot water over the tea bags she'd placed in the mugs, nodding in response as she turned to hand him one. his hair was disheveled, his clothes wrinkled, and the remnants of sleep lingered in his eyes. "morning," she muttered quietly.
just as she was about to leave the kitchen, his hand caught her wrist. "what are you doing?"
her gaze avoided his, her usual confidence nowhere to be found until he spoke up again. "about last night-"
"forget about last night," she interrupted, her voice wavering. "i was drunk. didn't mean to say all that bullshit. i'm sorry."
"why are you apologizing?"
"because last night was a complete shit-show. i can't handle my liquor, and i don't even know why i drank so much, but i regret it. i put us in an awkward situation, and i'm sorry for that." she spoke in one hurried breath, not giving him a chance to respond before continuing. "i'm not expecting anything from you out of pity for feelings i know can't be returned. i just... i'm sorry."
she tried to pull away from his grip, but he held her in place. "touya, it's fine. let go. keeping me here, forcing me to face you, is torture."
"you done whining?"
"i'm not whining." her brow furrowed as she finally met his gaze with a glare. he set his tea down on the counter, and before she could react, his hands were on her cheeks, pulling her in close.
"touya..." she whispered cautiously.
"don't freak out."
and with that, his lips were on hers, warm and firm, leaving no room for doubt. it was a rash decision on dabi's part, driven by a feeling he didn't fully understand. but it was real, and for once, he wasn't running from it.
there was no hesitation, no second thoughts, just the warmth of the moment. y/n's hands instinctively gripped his shirt, pulling him closer as their lips moved in sync. dabi's hand slipped to her waist, tugging her toward him until their bodies were pressed together, a sigh escaping his lips.
the kiss broke suddenly, leaving y/n breathless and dabi smirking slightly. "i think that went better than your confession. i win."
"shut up, touya. it's not a competition."
"oh yeah?" he teased, but his voice softened as he let out a deep sigh. for dabi, apologies didn't come naturally. he scratched the back of his neck, avoiding her gaze as he leaned against the counter. "look," he began gruffly, "i'm not good at this. feelings, whatever. you already know that, so don't act surprised."
y/n remained silent, her eyes focused on him, waiting.
"i didn't mean to make you think i didn't care," he continued, clearly struggling with his words. "i just... don't do all the emotional crap. alright?"
the silence between them was palpable, her gaze heavy on him as he clenched his jaw in frustration.
"i don't know what the hell i'm supposed to say. i didn't even realize i was feeling... anything until recently. and you think i know how to handle that?" he laughed dryly, rubbing a hand over his face. "i'm not used to it. but i don't want you thinking i don't give a damn."
finally, he met her eyes, his expression more serious than usual. "i want to be with you. i don't know how to say it right, and i'll probably mess up again, but... i'm not blowing you off. this is just... new for me."
he shoved his hands in his pockets, half-turning as if he were done, but then muttered under his breath, barely loud enough for her to hear, "i care, y/n. more than i thought i could. so... there. happy now?"
it wasn't the most graceful confession, but for dabi, it was as close to vulnerability as y/n had ever seen. and she accepted it, even if she couldn't resist teasing him.
"wow, touya," she said, crossing her arms. "that was almost... cute. maybe you should write a book on feelings. 'how not to apologize 101."
"oh, fuck off, y/n."
with a sudden pull, dabi wrapped an arm around her waist, guiding her toward the couch. "what are we doing?" she asked, stumbling slightly. "barely got any sleep last night because of you," he grumbled, settling back and pulling her onto his chest. "so, we're fixing that." he sighed. "what if i don't want to sleep?"
"you do realize talking to me instead of sleeping is like asking a cat to fetch, right?" he groaned, pulling her closer.
"fine."
"thanks," he muttered, closing his eyes. "and y/n?" his voice was soft now. "hmm?" she questioned.
"i'm shit at communication so i know i don't have the right to say this, but promise me it won't take you getting wasted to tell me something that important again."
"deal."
"no. say you promise."
"i promise, touya."
with a kiss on her forehead, silence fell between them-this time, it was peaceful, a welcome contrast to the chaos of the night before.
got a request? send it in and i'll write it :D

you have really good taste in fanfics in the tag game so was wondering if you would mind sharing so more of your favourites?
oh my god YES
i would love to thank you for asking <3
because i have no self control, i'm going to restrict myself to 3 5 10
1. the condominium community committee by @jusst-you-race . it's funny, it's light-hearted, and it has all the good feels. honestly it's the chat fic of chat fics, where the grid all lives in the same apartment building and have different lives, but are still super close! if you're feeling a bit down or if you want something fun, this is a great fic to read! status: WIP. word count: 28K+
2. crash landers by @janinaduszejko . carcar omegaverse my beloved, where oscar is an alpha and carlos is (secret) omega. a little bit angsty, a lot bit smutty, and overall delightful. it hurts a little bit, but it feels so good, and there's a happy ending! status: completed. word count: 57K+
3. i’m going back to 505 (if it’s a seven hour flight or a forty five minute drive) by julodinae_sunsets. another omegaverse (my weakness) but this time it's maxiel, where daniel is an alpha and tries to court max by accident, but stops himself because OBVIOUSLY max is an beta and doesn't want that. well. he's wrong. but second chances exist for a reason. it's really enjoyable so far, and it's made me grin stupidly way too many times, so. it's a win! status: WIP. word count: 19K+
4. Don't Want Your Sympathy (Just Your Company) by @1425fivefive . landoscar, where oscar is outed via blurry photos of him kissing another guy at the club. to get his mind off it, lando offers to have him stay at his place for the summer. a very cute teammates to friends to lovers, with a little bit of hurt but a lot of comfort. and smut. also, logan is best friend goals, honestly, and the little pockets of humor make you laugh when you least expect it. status: completed. word count: 64K+
5. Sunlight by @onboardsorasora . an absolutely delightful magical realism au (my other weakness) with a dewis pairing. they're one of the authors that got me into the pairing in the first place! people are touched by the elements in varying degrees. some people aren't touched, while others are touched by rare elements (like sunlight). daniel doesn't think he's touched by any. it's whumpy and a bit angsty but so, so sweet. honestly a lot of fluff too, with a sweet ending. status: completed. word count: 10K+
6. Loud and Clear by @oscatmeowstri . race engineer oscar with driver lando au, landoascar. it was wonderful. the formatting was so cool, and their relationship developed really well, from colleagues(?) to friends to occasional kissing buddies to lovers. some angst, but it's resolved pretty quickly, and there are lot of fluffy moments. status: WIP. word count: 48K+
7. cheap wedding (sticky pretenses) by @wormeo-and-juliette . i know i've mentioned the strollonso work by her before, but this is also so, so good. honestly, all her works have got me in a chokehold. it's lesteban, with a marriage of convenience (that eventual turns into love!). lance shows up in rural France, meets esteban, decides they're both lonely, and proposes marriage. absolutely delightful, and there's even the public coming-out which had me squealing. status: completed. word count: 12K+
8. champagne problems by @brocedesmadhouse . it's a love story to brocedes, and it's beautiful, heart-wrenching, and utterly amazing. toto gets replaced with a new team principal — who happens to be nico rosberg. it's set during the 2024 season, and it made me both cry and laugh — sometimes at the same time. absolutely wonderful. status: completed. word count: 60K+
9. empty streets, it's only you and me now by @the-ships-to-rule-them-all . intriguing and sweet, it's an exploration of Jewish folklore and golems, with sweet, sweet strollonso. lance has a golem, who happens to be incredibly protective of fernando. lance also happens to be in love with fernando. it's very cute and has the perfect plot-to-smut ratio. status: completed. word count: 5K+
10. k19tog (knit 19 together) by @nobrakesdown . really sweet and lovely, it's set in the 2022 season with seblance teammates. lance is a knitter, and seb convinces lance to teach him — and eventually, the rest of the grid. really heartwarming, and it has serious grid-as-family vibes that had me smiling like an idiot when I read it. also got me interested in the fiber arts, and it's really cool! status: completed. word count: 7K+
there are so many more fics that i could rec, but the sake of this post (and my need to study) i will limit it to just 10. please let me know how you like these recs, and feel free to rec for more (and if there are any particular pairings you're looking for)! this was a lot of fun, thanks for asking!

Echoes of the Night (Chapter 1)
☆ Tags/warnings: alcohol abuse, rivals to lovers fic, bartender diluc
☆ Notes: I wrote this back in april! I kinda retired fic writing, but I want to get back into it because it was always a hobby that made me happy.
I have chapter 3 of my adachi fic half way written as well for anyone waiting for that! super excited to share that and this! :) thank you for taking the time to read!
-
The dimly lit bar echoed with the sounds of clinking glasses and hushed murmurs from patrons scattered throughout the building. Some were there to share a dinner with their family, and others were loud with celebration. Yet, in this atmosphere of joy, you found yourself the odd one out.
The purpose of coming to the bar tonight had long left you, drowned in the constant noise and the swirling currents of conversations around you. The air hung heavy with the scent of various liquors, wines, and as you sat amidst the lively crowd, all you could do was let your thoughts attempt to bubble into something coherent before completely vanishing.
“ Ughhh .” you groaned under your breath. How did this happen? You were so drunk you couldn’t remember what was even in your drink, let alone how you managed to finish it all plus several others.
Empty beer mugs were stacked haphazardly around you, evidence to the hours you had spent here. Your thoughts were jumbled and slurred and any attempt to make sense of them ended with an expected failure. “I want more.” The words stumbled out on their own. “I want to order something sweet.”
Charles, who was only a few steps away, turned to face you. The friendly, familiar bartender smiled at you, followed by a firm head shake. "No can do, little lady." With a quick denial, he started to gather the glasses cluttered around you. "Yer already sloshed beyond limit. "
“ Charles !”
“None of that whining. I would have cut you off earlier if I wasn’t swamped tonight. I’m gonna have to find someone to bring ya home.” He glanced around. “and I gotta start getting ready to close. Closing early tonight! Big plans—.”
Despite his words being clearly spoken, you found it increasingly difficult to clearly hear him. The subtle movement of his lips became a blur, and strangely enough, the more you blankly stared at him, the more you forgot what he looked like. The sounds coming out of his mouth seemed to fall on deaf ears as your attention drifted into an abstract haze.
You allowed your head to fall back into the empty air. The corners of your mouth quivered feebly, attempting to form a smile that refused to come to light. Suddenly, your body convulsed as your head involuntarily fell forward and vomit forced its way out of your throat and into some sort of rustic bucket in front of you. The acrid taste of bile and alcohol lingered in your mouth, making you gag even more. Your breath was heavy and you gulped harshly to suppress the desire to puke more.
You were confused, drunk, sick, and you wanted to ask why the bar was across the room when you were sitting there not even two seconds ago. Did you move yourself or did someone move you? Maybe you were teleporting.
As the wave of nausea passed, you lifted your head, opening your eyes to a blurry world. Shapes and colors swirled around you, and you could hear fragments of sentences from other voices. Your head felt like it was spinning out of control, and the sounds around you were distorted and garbled. Then, for just a moment, all the different lines and textures and colors of reality lined back up together to form visuals you could actually understand.
Three individuals you couldn’t make out stood in the empty bar. ‘When did everyone leave?’, you wondered. The bucket in front of you is filled with the remnants of your previous meal, or lack thereof. All of them were talking and still you couldn’t make out any of the voices.
“ I’ll go home by myself,” It came out as more of a sob. One of the figures, someone you knew yet couldn’t recognize, was swift to stand by your side and rub your back. The compassion you could feel from them reminded you of your mother which made you break into another drunken sob. They quietly spoke sweet words you couldn’t stop yourself from ignoring. “I’m– no , I'm fine!” Stumbling through the thick haze of inebriation. Whatever they were trying to tell you wasn’t important enough for you to retain the information. More words tumbled their way out of your throat, but you were none the wiser to what was being said.
Their voices continued to speak, but moments were slipping away from you. Everything around you felt like scattered fragments of a dream. A dream you were enjoying.
-
The shrill sound of bells forced you awake.
You bolted upright unintentionally. The unstable bed shook, creating a wobble which tossed you off the side of the bed and straight onto the floor. Strings of curses escaped your lips, but you gathered yourself and sat on the edge of the bed; burying your head into the rough flesh of your palms.
The events from the previous night were blurry. Fragments of memories were somewhat understandable; only due to the burning shame in your chest and pounding headache. You remember going to the bar and throwing up, afterwards you ran out to go home... then... bricks. Lots of bricks. What was that about, you wondered?
“Oh my god…” you mumbled.
You glanced up and came face to face with today’s chaotic appearance. Your hair was messy enough to represent a rat’s nest. And geez, you didn’t want to even mention the sorry state of your eyes. The unfashionable black circles were darker than usual, creating a sharp glare. If a child saw you, it wouldn’t be unreasonable for them to scream, "Mommy, there's a raccoon trying to impersonate a human again!"
This was a daily thing. Looking in your mirror and pointing out any flaw you can find. Some people might argue it's not good for your mental well-being, but for you, it was a comforting routine. It brought some order into your life, something you could rely on.
You'd even think of ways to fix yourself. A haircut could sort out the messy hair, and maybe some skincare advice from Marjorie could help with those tired-looking eyes.
Yep, with just a little touch up you could really sparkle. Similarly to the ruby ring on your dresser.
…...?
A ring?
There, on the dresser, a vibrant ruby ring laid, catching the light and dazzling in your gaze. The gem alone was huge, but the gold accents made your mouth fall open! Confusion set in like a fog. That can’t be right; for you knew you could never own, let alone afford, such an extravagant ring.
You attempted to think back and decode your blurry memories to figure out how this ring even got here, but you knew it would be a failed effort. You can’t even remember how you got home!
You were left with one giant question. How did this ring end up here?
Oh goodness… you could only pray you haven't accidentally turned into a mugger. If getting blackout drunk transformed you into a thief, your drinking would be developing into a real problem and that wasn't the case! You never drink by yourself so that means you're perfectly fine.
Surely, there was a reasonable explanation. Perhaps you struck someone's fancy and they gifted you this ring as an attempt to capture your favor?
You glanced back over at the mirror. Nope, you've unquestionably sunk to the station of a mere thief.
With your sole concern being speed, you swiftly dressed and tidied up your hair as best as you could. There was only one thing you could do; return to the scene of the crime and figure out step by step what events led to the ring to end up in your home. And god forbid, if you did end up stealing the ring, you were prepared to humble yourself and plead with them not to press charges.
You wouldn’t be able to survive in jail! They don't allow prisoners to go to the bar!
As you power walked back towards Angel’s Share, suppressing the anxiety of facing the consequences of the previous night, one name dominated your thoughts: Mr. Six-Fingered Jose. He was an excellent friend, a genuinely kind soul who continues to uplift you despite your obvious flaws. The best part is, he sings at the bar almost every night. Surely, he must have seen you last night at Angel’s Share and can give you some sort of summary of what occurred.
Best case scenario, Jose can confirm that the only crime committed last night was the embarrassing display you can only assume you provided.
Worst case scenario, he already contacted the authorities and is currently giving them your description.
The building came into view and you swallowed any lingering anxiety as you walked inside. And if Jose doesn't have any information to help, Charles absolutely should. “You’re fine,” you thought to yourself, “one conversation and all this worry will go away.”
The tavern's warm wooden exterior came as a surprise. You were used to the cluttered atmosphere during the evening. The knights dragging their buddies in and out of the bar, the inside flooded with loud singing and lots of beer.
Potted flowers hanged along the windowsills and families seemed to be enjoying a meal together out in the sun. The sight put a thought in your head you never had about the establishment before.
How peaceful. Why would anyone drink at home when they can come here?
As you stepped inside, the interior was flooded with natural light, revealing more patrons eating, chatting and spending quality time in a social setting. The scent of brewing tea and the hum of conversation filled the air, much different from your usual visits. Amidst the lively day-time experience, there was a disappointing absence. The spot by the door, where Jose usually performed, was empty. You blinked a few times, your gaze transfixed, similar to a hydro slime caught in the blinding glare of a sudden fire. A dreadful feeling of idiocy crept up your spine as it dawned on you that the only lead you had wasn’t at the tavern because Jose only plays here at night!
You were so concerned with the sudden appearance of your, or whoever's, ring, that you didn’t take into account the time of day. Jose doesn’t waste his days confining his performances to the tavern alone. He wasn’t like you, he had a life beyond this place, other audiences to impress, and possibly more enjoyable company elsewhere.
Well, the simple choice would have been to walk out and continue your obligation of figuring out the events of last night. But you walked all this way! Surely, it’s alright to stay for a brief moment. A glass of wine is a must, especially in a troubled situation such as this one.
The bar was empty, but that didn’t surprise you. It was always quiet when you first arrived, with people trickling in as the night went on. Besides, it wasn’t like you came here earlier for the sole purpose to drink. You just had a good reason to come here and a good reason to drink.
A sense of shame welled up inside you, with the rational part of your mind warning against the terrible idea of drinking this early, especially after last night which possibly involved theft. But still, your heart rate was skyrocketing and you felt your breaths getting choppy. This ring was making you anxious.
“Just one glass is okay, it'll make the hangover more bearable” you justified to yourself, “and you’re in a stressful situation. It’ll chill you out."
Plus, while drinking you can speak to Charles. You vividly remember him cutting you off, so he might have an answer and you won’t even need to bother Jose with more of your troubles, so going to the bar is actually a great idea. The glass of wine is icing on the cake.
“Now may I ask why you’re here so early?” The words spilled from lips you didn’t know. With an air of sophistication and directness; it was obvious this wasn’t Charles. You had been so in your head about last night causing you to overlook the fact that an unrecognizable figure now occupied Charles's customary spot and, worst of all, was wearing his uniform.
...What intense eyes.
It was the first thing you noticed from the striking figure; deep, fierce ruby eyes. Matching red hair was tied neatly into a bun, adding some flair to his proper appearance. Chiseled facial features, followed by a strong jawline and high cheekbones, you could gather that he was a younger man.
And yet, the allure of his looks was overshadowed by the rude intentions the young man brought forth with his words. His furrowed eyebrows, on top of a glare not so subtly hidden, presented the first ever unwelcoming attitude you witnessed in this establishment.
“Excuse me?”
“It’s noon.” The unnamed bartender pointed his finger towards a clock, not even bothering to look in its direction. He was too busy gazing ahead, seemingly scanning something. Perhaps other customers.
You didn't know how to respond. This rando’s audacity actually had you stunned! What was he implying here? You mean, he could be busy tending to other odd jobs before the flow of bar-goers hits and is annoyed you interrupted that, after all he did seem distracted, but with that glare? No, he's absolutely shaming you for drinking wine this early.
You wanted to scream at him, get over it! Making drinks is the main part of the job and you should be ready to do it whenever! Even Charles, who has kicked you out a few times and cut you off more times then you can count, always maintained his professionalism within the job.
“And…? The bar is open at noon isn't it...?” You fired back, heat creeping up your spine and igniting an intense warmth in your cheeks. You haven’t even ordered yet. Glancing around, you spoke with a bit of huff in your tone. “Is Charles around?”
With a raised eyebrow, he responded “He is not.”
“Where is he?”
“How come you’re asking?” The red headed man stopped the minimal cleaning he was tending to, leaning onto one elbow against the bar and giving you his full attention. “Did you come here to speak to him?”
It was as if you were in an integration seat. “Well, no, I was looking for Jose. Not that it’s any of your business.” With a sigh, you avert his gaze. Eye contact makes you nervous. "But, if you must know, he isn’t here so I thought I'd speak to Charles. Glass of red wine, please.”
The red-headed man crossed his arms, his gaze unwavering and filled with suspicion. Frustration lingered as you tried to understand why this guy would be here instead of Charles. He lacks social manners! Why would they hire him? You didn’t even know they were hiring!
"Why do you need to talk to Charles if you were originally looking for Jose?" he inquired.
Letting out an over dramatic sigh, you sank back in your barstool. “None of your business.” your eyes wandered to the enticing array of wines displayed on a shelf behind the bar. “Just get me a glass of red wine, please .”
The bartender clicked his tongue disapprovingly. "Your attitude wasn’t this unpleasant last night."
"Attitude?" You began to raise your voice. Your body was halfway off the stool, preparing to create a scene. However, when the eyes of nosy customers bore into you, transforming your surroundings into a sea of awkward silence. You couldn't help but cringe at yourself as you shifted back into your seat, realizing your impulses always find new ways to embarrass yourself.
The bartender, with an eyebrow furrowed, was still looking at you as if he was waiting for a response.
“Wait, huh?” Your head tilted sideways, “You said last night?”
“Yes.”
“You mean, you saw me last, last night?”
“…Yes.” His lips pressed together in a straight line. “Remember? We talked lots about–”
“Oh my god!” Jumping out of your stool, unintentionally creating the scene you just narrowly avoided, but that was no longer a concern. There was a break in the case! “We were here, right? At Angel's Share?”
"I guess you could say that…" His nose scrunched up.
"You guess?!" More eyes focused on you. Embarrassed but trying to stay cool, you cleared your throat, sat back in your seat, and lowered your voice. "Sorry, I meant—what do you mean by 'you guess'? Did you see me leave the bar?"
His expression tightened. It was strange—every part of his face was tense, from his stiff lips to his furrowed eyebrows. "…You were there. Don’t you remember?"
Why was he acting so weird? If he actually saw you last night, it shouldn't surprise him that you blacked out. "You saw me last night, but didn't notice how drunk I was? Of course I don't remember."
His eyes shifted, but he didn’t say a word.
Your demeanor transformed into a gentle plea for the answer. Initially, the bartender regarded you with a puzzled expression, as if you were speaking an ancient language, confused on why this interaction was taking place.
“It was painfully obvious you were drunk." He finally spoke. "But... to forget the entire night is unthinkable.”
"Well, news flash, liquor can do crazy stuff like that," you snapped, your voice sharper than intended. "Aren't you supposed to be a bartender? Shouldn't this be common for you?"
"This is my first day." He cocked his head to the side. "Surely, you would have seen me before if I was regularly working."
Yikes. You fell silent. After all, what could you possibly say in response to that? He got you good with that one.
If only Charles was here. You hated eye contact, yet here you were, locked in a silent stare with him. It felt like the final round of a staring contest, with a billion mora on the line. First, you wake up realizing you might’ve stolen a ring expensive enough to get you jail time, and now you have to deal with this… "aggravating roach."
"Did you say something?" "Yeah, I said, where's the wine I ordered?" You huffed. "Since Charles and Jose aren't here, and you aren't adding
You expected another snappy response, but instead, his face finally softened. Maybe if he kept it that way, the wrinkles on his forehead would ease up too. “…You were here past closing last night…” His tone wasn’t harsh. "I was here to talk with Charles about business. When I arrived, the place was supposed to be cleared out, but there you were. Head in a bucket. Jose was rubbing your back."
"And…?"
"….hm." He glanced to the side. "Jose walked you home."
Your smile transformed into a frown, the disappointment hitting hard. You had hoped for more—some crucial detail. Instead, all you got was a shrug and a nod, and the vague confirmation that Angel's Share was not the place the ring was snatched. Unless, of course, you pickpocket someone without anyone noticing, but that's absurd. How could you sneakily take a ring, drunk as hell, without anyone noticing? Especially when you were escorted home. The weight of the ring in your pocket felt heavier now, a reminder that you needed to figure out what the hell happened before there were any serious consequences.
He nodded, then turned his back to you, probably getting back to work. But who cared about his job? Certainly not you—what kind of bartender doesn't bring the wine after being asked twice? Whatever. That wasn't the goal right now.
Frantically, you reached into your pocket and pulled out the ruby ring, holding it delicately between your thumb and finger. You leaned forward, showing it to the aggravating roach. “Do you know whose ring this is?”
He glanced back for just a moment. “....It’s yours...?” The bell rang, notifying him that more customers walked inside. He turned over to the side, no longer looking at the ring.
Well isn't he unhelpful? Just loud and wrong. You parted your lips to speak, but then quickly shut them. Even if you knew it wasn’t a good idea to reveal to a stranger that you could possibly be a thief, especially one who asks so many questions for no reason. He absolutely seems like the type to report you to the Knights of Favinous! And yet, he was so quick to answer. It must be embarrassing for him to be so confident in an incorrect answer, but you can’t even point that out without exposing yourself. What a shame, that would have been good payback for earlier.
“That’s was a strange question,” he added, disrupting your thoughts. His attention was back on to you. “Do you not like it now that you’re sober?”
Is he implying you bought it when you were drunk last night? Funny, like you or him could ever afford such a ring. This is at least six months of your old salary.
You tried to think of a reasonable response. “It was… uh, lent… yeah, it was lent to me and I need to return it.” shaky reasoning, though it was all you had, “I’m just having some problems remembering… the wine... where's the wine I ordered?”
The man's lips tightened into a thin line before he pivoted and reached for a bottle of red wine. With no words, he poured the crimson liquid you had been yearning for into a glass. With an indifferent gesture, he placed it in front of you, not even granting you a glance anymore. "Jose performs near the Favonius Cathedral during the day, if you still want to talk to him.
"I'm well aware!" you retorted, quickly and untruthful, but he had already moved on to attend to another patron.
With shame, you brought the glass to your lips, allowing the robust flavor to momentarily distract you from the unsettling realization that this jerk seemed to know your friend better than you.

question! im considering doing dividers as gifts for my friends and I was wondering if you had any tips? is it a better idea to hand draw the designs to avoid any potential copyright issues or is using free to distribute clip resources okay?
I know how to draw and do edits just fine I’m just not sure what other graphic artists do in this regard
Hi anon!
Okay, so this is going to be a little long winded and maybe stuff you might know about the process, but I hope it’ll be helpful as a guide for others too maybe? Tips under the cut otherwise everyone’s gonna have to scroll through it.
1. Personally, I LOVE Canva because it has a library of pre-uploaded elements and its super easy to use. Like if I search stars hundreds of individual elements come up as results.
(I know some people also use Visme, which I don’t have any real experience with, but it’s an alternative with good reviews.)
As long as you are not claiming each individual element is your own creation, you’re in the clear. People making graphics like these almost always use premade elements and combine or edit them into a unique piece. That being said, if you claim that an individual element is your own, you’ll probably be called out. I don’t know how familiar you are with the community so forgive me if I sound condescending: the graphics/digital art community is a wild place when it comes to plagiarism but it’s good that artists look out for each other.
Anyway. Creators that upload designs/elements/templates to Canva are aware that they can be changed/edited. If you have Canva pro (which I recommend because you can do transparent PNGs so easily) some elements are only available via pro subscription and you’re compensating the creator for the use of the element and however you change it.
Basically, the divider/graphic is yours, but the individual elements are theirs. You don’t need to give credit because it’s like using stamps or stickers. For example: You wouldn’t typically use Lisa frank stickers on a coloring page and then credit Lisa frank in the corner of the paper. ⚠️I strongly urge you to stay away from AI art. Generators steal from artists to create what the user searches for!⚠️
2. Hand drawing can get a little tricky. You have to be careful with your dimensions and even file size sometimes. In my personal experience, if you’re new to this type of graphic art you should wait until you’re comfortable with it. It can get confusing. I’ve had MANY graphics come out a blurry, frustrating mess and I’m by no means the best divider maker/graphic artist on the planet.
An extra example: my Cute Coquette set vs my Dark Siren set. Technically, there’s nothing wrong with the coquette ones, but they look fuzzy/blurry. I made them when I was first starting out and I struggled with how to line up the right dimensions. I keep them up because as much as I don’t like how blurry they are, it shows my progress and I’m rather fond of them. It’s not even close to what I do now, like the Dark Sirens, which even zoomed out have a lot of detail but are clear and defined. 🤷🏻♀️
3. To avoid said blurring, I recommend using these canvas sizes:
Banners and headers: 1055px x 500px, I’ve also done 3000px x 500px.
Standard Size Dividers: 3000px x 240px
Thicker/Thinner Dividers: Basically you can go as thin or thick as you want as long as that first number is 3000px. I added a screenshot of ones I’ve used recently that might help.
I think if you’re using software like procreate, the canvas sizes are the same but you’ll have to go through some extra steps if you want to get it into canva or whatever graphic editing software you’re using.
4. Lastly and most importantly, just have fun. Play around with the settings and figure out what works best for you!! You of course can DM me with more questions, but I hope this at least helped a little bit.
🩵🌸
*Edited 2 hours after posting to add personal examples, and this little guide can now be found in my navigation post!*

Prose (sneak peek!)
In which y/n's taking way too many units, and Harry's the teaching assistant for her Literature class.
+++
He locks the door behind them, with y/n lingering closely by, waiting for him. “Do you live far?” he asks.
“No, not really. Just a 15 minute walk.” They walk towards the building exit, and Harry pulls out his umbrella. “Not too bad, as long as there isn’t a monsoon going on outside,” she finishes with a petulant grumble.
Harry chuckles lowly, his dimples shining brightly. “I was just going to offer… y’know, since it’s still raining and you’re umbrella-less…” his eyes twinkle teasingly, “I could drive you home? Wouldn’t want you to get soaked again when you’ve only just dried off.”
“Oh!” she bubbles, looking at him with wide eyes. “Really? You would do that?” He nods, but she presses, “Are you sure that wouldn’t be a hassle? I mean– like, really I could just stay here and read until the rain dies down–”
“S’not a hassle,” he reassures. “Y’don’t even know when the rain will be gone– could be all night. It’ll be cold, n’dark… it’d make me feel better knowing you got home safe, yeah?”
“Gosh that’s… that’s really nice of you,” she says, almost pouting.
He just smiles, pushing the door open and opening his umbrella for the two of them to huddle under. His car is parked in the graduate student parking lot, so it’s not too far of a walk (although they’re doing more of a brisk speedwalk, trying to get out of the rain and wind as fast as possible). The rain patters harshly on top of his umbrella, but they manage to stay dry, shoulders brushing together and their warm bodies radiating heat onto each other.
He unlocks his car and opens the passenger's seat for her, making sure that she’s covered from the rain as she slides into her seat. He then runs over to his own side, quickly shutting his umbrella and throwing it into the backseat. His fingers are numb as he turns the car on, and he immediately blasts the heat for the two of them, putting his frozen fingers in front of the warm air. “God, not even three minutes out there n’ I’m already freezing m’bits off,” he mumbles to himself. He turns to her, and smiles when he sees her copying his actions, “Isn’t this so much better that walking home?”
All she can give is a nod, wriggling her fingers in front of his heaters. Her teeth are chattering as she barely manages to chatter out, “S’freezing.”
“Wind would’ve blown you away before you even made it home, I reckon.” He plays with the windshield wipers until they’re on the highest setting, but even then his windshield is blurry from the rain. He makes sure to drive extra slow and cautiously, reversing out at the speed of a snail and turning his high beams on.
It’s only when she’s sitting in the front seat of his car that a somewhat important thought floats to the forefront of her mind – “is this allowed?”
“Is what allowed?” He's half paying attention, half checking both sides of the road before turning left onto the street.
“Like– I mean you’re sort of my professor, I guess,” she stumbles over her words, “Is it… would you get in trouble? For like… giving me a ride?”
Harry’s eyebrows pinch thoughtfully, “Well, first of all– Dr. Richmond’s your professor, not me. Secondly– I don’t see why it would be against the rules. S’just a car ride,” he shrugs.
She relaxes in her seat, nodding. She supposes he’s right. It’s just a car ride.
“But– if anything,” he adds on with, turning to her momentarily with a mischievous glint in his eye, “I won’t tell if you don’t.”
Y/n’s lips curl. “Okay,” she giggles.
It’ll be their little secret. :)

task force 141 reacting to [reader] having excessively watery eyes — python333
— — — —
synopsis just as the title says once again! tf141 and their reactions to [reader] having excessively watery eyes. if you want to get a bit more medical, the term for it would just be 'high tear drainage capacity'! it's basically just something some people have where they naturally just produce more tears and as a result their eyes water excessively at (as far as i know) random times!
relationships platonic!taskforce 141 & reader.
characters cap. john price, soap, ghost, gaz.
warnings 2nd person pov [you/yours/yourself], usage of c/n [code name/call sign], might be ooc. :{
note i was watching super 8 when i got this idea, because my eyes got watery all of a sudden while watching it and i was like 'omg i should post this on tumblr' because i'm a writing whore so here i am again. my fingers hurt from typing all the things in html to make the text small and shit but we still up!!
JOHN “BRAVO SIX” PRICE
➥ he thinks you’re crying at first.
➥ it’s not his fault! he had no idea your eyes just water up randomly.
➥ when he sees your eyes well up with tears, depending on how close y’all are, his fatherly instincts—which he, obviously, developed after meeting gaz—kick in immediately.
➥ “Are you okay, [c/n]?” “Why are you crying?” “Did something happen? What happened?” “... What do you mean?” “This is normal?”
➥ he’s kind of embarrassed for worrying so much after you reassure him that you were okay and that your eyes just excessively water, to be honest.
➥ he’s glad that you’re okay though, obviously.
➥ he never really gets used to seeing you tear up randomly? even though you told him it was normal?
➥ like he knows that 99% of the time you tear up it’s just because you do that, but he still likes to be sure that you’re okay, so he always makes sure to ask if you’re okay.
➥ he’s such!! a father!! i’m crying!! and it's not just my excessive eye watering!!
—
You both had just been hanging out in the recreation center, Price on the couch and you sitting on a chair right by that couch. You were scrolling through your phone, while Price was reading the newspaper—usual old man activities. While scrolling through your social media feed, you didn’t even notice the way tears started to well up in your eyes until your vision got blurry and you felt a small, wet trail of a single tear roll down your cheek.
You’d sighed and pulled a pocket-sized tissue pack out out your pocket, pulling out a tissue and dabbing at your eyes, ridding them of the tears. Of course, the tears didn’t just stop there, they kept coming, so you kept wiping and dabbing at your eyes, hoping that they would go away soon. This was a fairly regular occurrence— for you.
Price caught sight of this and immediately looked worried. He stared at you for a moment as you wiped your eyes, wondering if he should speak up, and eventually had tentatively asked, “Are you okay, [c/n]?”
You looked over at him and pulled the tissue away from your face for a moment, “Yeah, why?” Your voice didn’t sound strained or hoarse like Price had expected, seeing as you were practically crying.
“You’re crying,” Price had pointed out, pointing to your eyes as if you couldn’t notice it, “Did something happen?”
You sat there, a bit dumbfounded, and Price took your silence as hesitation to tell him what was going on. “You can tell me what’s going on, [c/n]. I won’t judge you,” He’d reassured you softly, setting down his book and putting all of his attention on you.
Oh God. “Nothing happened,” You’d quickly assured him, “This is normal, don’t worry about it.”
“... What do you mean, ‘this is normal’?” Price asked, now confused as well as concerned, “You cry often, mate?”
“I mean, kind of?” You had replied, before sighing and clarifying, “My eyes just water up a lot. It’s not really crying.”
“Oh,” Price said dumbly, before nodding and giving you one last concerned look, “Right, then. Uh… sorry about that.”
“It’s okay,” You smiled at him, going back to dabbing at your eyes with a tissue, while he reluctantly went back to his book.
—
JOHN “SOAP” MACTAVISH
➥ can’t mind his own business for the life of him.
➥ similar to price, he thinks you’re crying at first.
➥ but he doesn’t hesitate at all, the moment he sees you tearing up he’s like ‘woah what the fuck are you okay??’
➥ you have to firmly tell him that yes, you’re okay, you just have very watery eyes.
➥ he still offers to get you tissues and some water, worried by the amount of tears you’re producing, thinking you’re gonna get really dehydrated.
➥ makes sure you’re completely okay and that you’re not just making this all up to hide the fact that you’re actually crying.
➥ after that whole interaction, he doesn’t get as worried when your eyes randomly water up, and instead teases you about it.
➥ learns to know when you’re actually crying, just so that he can offer comfort when it’s appropriate, and tease you when it’s appropriate.
—
The two of you were hanging out in Ghost’s room, since his was cleaner than the both of your’s combined, and he was away on a mission. Soap laid down on Ghost’s bed while you were sitting on the edge of the same bed, the sheets and blankets wrinkled from you both moving around on the bed. Soap was scrolling through his phone while you sat opposite of him and read a book Price had recommended to you—in his usual old man pseudo-father fashion, he’d told you to spend less time on your phone and ‘read a damn book’—so you were doing just that.
It was when you’d just reached chapter six when your vision got blurry and you sighed, knowing what was happening already. It was just annoying, honestly, having to pull out your tissues every ten minutes because your stupid tear ducts couldn’t function properly. When you went to pull out the mini tissue pack you always carried with you—or so you thought—you were surprised to find that the familiar plastic rectangle of tissues were nowhere to be found in your pockets. You checked your back pockets, front pockets, and yet they weren’t in either.
You let out a small, frustrated sigh through your nose and got up from the bed, the movement making Soap look up and over at you.
“Hey, where are ye—blimey, are ye cryin’?” Soap questioned, his questioning tone quickly becoming concerned, “Are ye alright? It wasnae the book that made ye cry, aye?”
You looked back at Soap, sighing, wiping at your eyes with the sleeve of your shirt, “Yeah, I’m fine. Don’t even worry about it, it’s normal, I just need to go get some tissues.”
“What dae ye mean this is normal?” Soap asked, sitting up. I just want to grab tissues, man, You think, miserably before short explanation that yes, you’re okay, no, you’re not crying, your eyes are just watery—basically the same answer you give every who eventually asks about your little ‘quirk’.
“Ye sure ye’re alright?” Soap asked, just making sure you’re actually okay, “Ye’re definitely no’ crying?”
“Definitely not crying,” You confirmed, “Just watery eyes.”
“Alright, then,” Soap breathed out, relieved that you were okay, before getting up and asking, “Dae ye need some tissues, water, anythin’?”
“Just tissues,” You answered, walking towards the door, “I can get them—”
“Nah, nah, ye stay richt there!” Soap quickly said, somehow getting to the door before you despite him having been right in front of the bed moments earlier, “I’ll get it!”
You watched him run out the door at a speed comparable to the usain bolt and stayed there for a moment, just staring at the now opened door, before huffing out a small laugh and heading back to the bed and sitting down.
—
SIMON “GHOST” RILEY
➥ he doesn’t notice until you’re wiping at your eyes and huffing in frustration when tears keep coming.
➥ the first time it happened, he didn’t ask if you were alright verbally, but did shoulder nudge you and gave you a look that asks ‘are you okay?’
➥ when you nodded and continued wiping at your eyes, ghost gave you one last look before trusting that you were okay and continuing on with his day.
➥ he pretended he didn’t care but thought about it for a bit afterwards, especially if you guys are really close.
➥ he asked price if you tearing up is just a normal thing or if you were actually crying, and let himself relax when he was told that yes, your eyes just water up randomly.
➥ he’s naturally a very observant person and will be able to tell when you’re actually crying fairly quickly.
➥ he’ll still look you over to make sure you’re okay, of course, just to double check, but once he’s confirmed that your eyes are just getting watery again he’ll let himself relax.
➥ depending on how close you both are, he’ll carry around a pack of tissues for you.
—
You and Ghost were in a helicopter, another mission successful. It wasn’t the worst one you’d had—but it was far from easy to accomplish. You were reasonably tired after this mission, all the leftover adrenaline wearing off, making you slump a bit in your seat.
You were just about to close your eyes to rest them, when suddenly you realized how blurry your vision had gotten. You were confused for a moment before realizing—oh, right, that happens.
You sighed, knowing you didn’t bring your usual pack of tissues with you, thinking it would just take up useless space in the pockets of your tactical gear. You wiped your eyes with the gloves you’d been wearing, albeit they weren’t the best option but the sleeves of your shirt were far too short for you to use, the hem of your shirt was dirty, and while your gloves were dirty as well, the back of them weren’t nearly as filthy as the hem of your shirt.
As you wiped away with the back of your glove, Ghost noticed your watery eyes and nudged your shoulder with his own. You paused and pulled your hand away from your eye, giving him a questioning look. He didn’t say anything, but instead gave you a questioning look back, a look you assumed to be one that asked, ‘are you okay?’, judging by the way his eyes darted to your own very watery ones. You nodded, mouthing the words ‘I’m okay’, and he nodded back, going back to staring ahead of him.
Hours after you had gotten off the helicopter, you were walking by Price’s office, and couldn’t help but hear Ghost’s voice. Being the nosy person you are, you cautiously pressed your ear to the door.
“—don’t worry, it’s normal,” You heard Price reassuring Ghost, “I doubt they’d cry after a mission like that, anyway.”
“And they’ve told you it’s normal?” Ghost asked, just to confirm, “You know this for a fact?”
You didn’t stay long enough to hear the rest of the conversation, instead walking away and suppressing a smile at Ghost’s mildly worried tone.

KYLE “GAZ” GARRICK
➥ he notices pretty quickly.
➥ no matter how many times he’s caught you tearing up, he’ll still ask you if you’re okay.
➥ he makes sure to bring a clean handkerchief with him, just incase you forget your tissues.
➥ he’ll even bring it with him on missions, knowing you don’t want to bring your small pack of tissues with you.
➥ the first time he catches your eyes watering up, he gets pretty worried.
➥ he makes sure not to make a big deal out of it though, trying to be as considerate as possible, and instead quietly asks you if you’re okay.
➥ when you reassure him that you are and tell him your eyes are just naturally watery, he’s pretty relieved, and lets it go.
➥ he trusts that you told him the truth, and doesn’t question you again after that.
➥ around the fifth time it’d happened, he’d grown pretty used to it, so when you started tearing up walking back to the rendezvous point with him after a mission, he had a handkerchief ready for you.
—
You panted while you walked, trying to get your breathing under control. You’d done a lot of running today—while you were pretty fit, and could run perfectly fine, you didn’t particularly like running as fast as you can away from enemy soldiers while your teammates shot them down, leaving you praying that the bullets that tailed your feet didn’t hit you.
Eventually, you got your breath under control, but immediately afterwards, your eyes had started to water.
You sighed and were about to wipe at your eyes with your hands, before your hand was stopped mid air. You looked over at Gaz, who had caught your hand by the wrist and offered you a handkerchief with his free hand.
The handkerchief was fairly clean, and you grabbed it, muttering a small ‘thank you’ as you did. Gaz smiled at you and gave you a simple pat on the shoulder.
Once the two of you reached the rendezvous point, you handed him back the handkerchief, hoping that your grateful smile was enough to express your full gratitude.

Crossing Worlds
A little ficlet inspired by how inspired Miles was to go to Princeton for their physics program. What if Miguel and the Spot weren’t a thing?
“You should go home, Miles,” Dana says. It’s late. Miles should probably listen.
“I’m close,” he says instead, scanning the latest results from the model he was running.
“And you’ll be close on Monday morning, too,” she says. “Come on, you’re a Junior. You should be out enjoying your Friday night.”
Dana’s nice. She’s extremely dedicated. Miles couldn’t ask for more in a mentor and the lead Grad student in their studies.
Part of Miles wants to listen to her. There haven’t been any alerts for Spidey tonight—that’s rare. Maybe he should go enjoy a rare night out without thinking about Spider-Man. Or the other Spiders.
“Thirty minutes,” he tells her, and turns back to the monitor. He runs another query. If only he could identify the source of the influx of dark matter. Then he could isolate the mass dependency on—
“Sure,” Dana responds. “Just don’t stay too late. You don’t want Professor Marks getting after you again.”
Miles nods, and looks back at the results. When his eyes get blurry like this, sometimes he can see Peter in the numbers. Penny in the white spaces between them.
He sees Gwen almost everywhere else he looks.
He runs another model. The results are promising. He stands and runs over to the other monitor. He punches in some numbers. The super computer will need to work overnight for this kind of a simulation. But that’s exactly why he needed to stay tonight. Tomorrow morning, he might—
His thoughts are interrupted when he feels a strange charge in the air. He feels light, all of a sudden, and the pencil on the table starts to lift into the air. He’d seen these exact indicators in the model he’d run. But that didn’t make sense. It’s not like he’d turned the collider on.
His Spidey sense is oddly quiet despite the world around him shaking.
And then it happens. Something he hasn’t seen in years appears before him. He’s been dreaming of these interdimensional portals since he’d sent Peter and Gwen back through them.
She steps out of it. Years older, like him. More beautiful than even his unrestrained memory.
His jaw drops. He’s too stunned to speak. Her smile starts small, and then grows. Her hair is longer, but she’s kept the same side shaved. He thinks he can see her Spider-suit just under the collar of her blouse.
He wants to rush to her. He wants to pull her into a hug. He wants to ask her how and why. But he’s frozen by her. Unable to do anything but take her in.
She glances around the lab they’re in, and her eyes sparkle as she recognizes what kind of lab it is.
“Hey Miles,” Gwen says. She smirks. “Need some help figuring it out?”

Adolescent Antichrist (Book 4) Chapter Twenty-Two
Father Figure! Lucifer x Teen! Reader
Chapter Twenty-Two: Can I Order You to be Executed?
Summary: Demons, angels, and humans walk into a sacrificial chamber and go looking for a fight.
(Y/N) squirmed against the ropes as more were added to tie them to the sacrificial table in the Mayan nightclub. When they got out (because they refused to let anyone go through with sending them to Hell), they were smashing this place to bits. Seriously, this sort of theme was asking for trouble, and now (Y/N) was having to deal with the stupid irony.
“You guys are going to regret this,” snapped (Y/N), eyes blazing with anger as they glared at Squee and Dromos.
Dromos scoffed. “As if you have any power here. An angel is formidable, sure, but a baby bird like you? We can handle you.”
“They can’t even bring their wings out,” said Squee.
(Y/N) pulled against the ropes around their torso, and the itch in their wings flared as they wanted to bring them out but couldn’t.
“Soon, this will be all over,” said Dromos. “And we can clip the bird’s wings if we have to.”
“Can I help?” said a woman demon, walking out of the shadows.
Yaaaay, more, thought (Y/N) sarcastically.
“We can all pull a feather,” said Dromos, chuckling.
I’m really going to need to talk to Dad about what he taught these guys, thought (Y/N). They’re worse than him.
“You’re not pulling anything from me,” snapped (Y/N). They smirked. “But if you want, you can get close to my shadow.” The drugs were still subduing their abilities, but they could move their own shadow enough. “I can pull on you.”
The woman took a step back, and Squee eyed the shadow beneath (Y/N) warily. Dromos confidently took a step closer and grabbed (Y/N)’s hair. He jerked their head back, and they bit back a cry at the awkward angle their neck was forced into.
“You’re really Lucifer’s kid. Only his kid would be so stupid as to challenge the people in charge now,” said Dromos.
“Yeah, well, if he’s an idiot, what are you for obeying him for thousands of years?” sneered (Y/N).
Dromos growled and roughly slammed their head against the stone before letting go and walking to Squee to make further preparations.
(Y/N) blinked away blurry vision after hitting their head. They watched Squee hold up a vial to Dromos and the light. They knew what that meant: they were running out of time.
l
“Alright, is there anything we need to know about how to fight a demon?” asked Chloe as she, Lucifer, and the LBGTQ+ Breakfast club (minus (Y/N)) walked towards the Mayan.
“Not really,” said Lucifer. “They’re just super strong, scary, and mean.”
“They’re like Maze except they can’t feel pain ‘cause they’re borrowing human bodies and lack any care for any humans,” said Em.
“So we don’t have to feel guilty if we harm the bodies?” said Marcel.
“No, they’re dead human bodies,” said Em.
“Well, that’s one thing off my conscious,” said Olive.
“I really don’t think you four should be here,” said Chloe. “You’re just kids. I don’t want you fighting unkillable demons.”
“We’re staying,” said Leon matter-of-factly.
“Detective, they are killable,” said Lucifer, helpfully for the teens but unhelpfully for Chloe. “You just need a little extra oomph.”
“We’ve got oomph,” said Noa.
“Yes, but none of you are coming in,” said Lucifer. “No humans are coming into the Mayan to fight.”
“What?!” Chloe and the teens all clamored angrily.
“Oh, yes, I am,” said Chloe.
“We’re not staying out here while (Y/N)’s in danger,” exclaimed Marcel.
“Demons or no demons, they’re our friend,” said Leon.
“It’s too dangerous for humans,” said Em, shaking their head.
“Detective, you in particular…could cause some problems. I’m vulnerable when you’re around, remember?” said Lucifer.
“But not when (Y/N)’s there,” said Chloe, easily seeing through Lucifer’s attempt to get her away to safety.
“I don’t make you vulnerable, either.”
Everyone jumped and turned to see Eve walking in the street behind them. She had followed them. Em growled and moved forward, but Olive grabbed her shirt and pulled her back with impressive strength.
“Eve!” exclaimed Lucifer, also frustrated since he didn’t have time to deal with her. His kid was in danger inside the Mayan.
“You’re supposed to be at the Penthouse,” said Chloe.
“I know,” said Eve. “But I needed to apologize for…for all of it, and everything I’ve put you through. And for (Y/N). I never wanted them to get hurt. I-I’m really sorry.”
“Tell it to (Y/N),” snapped Em.
“I-I will. That’s why I’m here. I’ve realized that I-I wanted Lucifer, or I thought I did, but I realize I’ve just been missing the person I used to be. When I was with you.” Eve looked down. “(Y/N) was right. I was trying to make you someone you’re not because I don’t know who I am. And I’m so so sorry I didn’t realize sooner.”
“Well, I hope that you find who you are, but I really wish you’d had this epiphany before you let demons loose on Los Angeles,” said Lucifer.
“You and me both,” said Eve.
“I can still punish her for her lack of vision,” grumbled Em, and Marcel put his hand out so she’d run into him if she got away from Olive.
“I know I deserve it,” said Eve. “I understand that there’s nothing I can do to make up for what I’ve done. But I’m gonna have to try. So, that’s why there’s nothing you can do to stop me from going in there.”
“Very well,” said Lucifer after a moment. Eve didn’t seem to be lying. And he was all for having more people on their side against the demons. It meant he had a chance of saving (Y/N). “We’ll just have to wait for my brother and Maze to—”
As if summoned, Amenadiel landed from the sky carrying Maze. His black wings disappeared into his back, and he put Maze down.
Maze stared at Eve. “What are you doing here?”
“Lucifer told us what you did,” said Amenadiel.
“Hey, adults!” said Noa. “Can we focus on getting (Y/N) out of there?”
“I’m sure you’ll all be able to argue later,” said Leon.
“What are they doing here?” asked Maze, staring at Chloe and Lucifer.
“Relax, they know,” said Em.
“They know?” said Amenadiel.
“(Y/N) told us,” said Olive.
“We’re here to help,” said Noa.
“So let’s focus,” said Marcel.
“There really isn’t any time for this,” said Lucifer. “(Y/N) is in danger. We need all the help we can get.”
“Then let’s help them,” said Chloe, touching Lucifer’s hand.
He nodded, and everyone turned to the Mayan with pure determination.
l
Dromos walked up to the stage with the vial in hand. He raised it over (Y/N)’s tied body and uncorked the bottle. (Y/N) clamped their lips shut, determined not to drink it as he lowered it towards them. They weren’t doing any goddamned ritual.
“Dromos!”
A powerful voice boomed and echoed around the room. (Y/N)’s heart pounded in relief.
“Dad!” they cried.
Their head turned to see him, and the demons looked up from the sacrificial table to Lucifer as he stared at them. Amenadiel, Maze, Eve, and Em stood beside him. Farther back in the shadows, (Y/N) could see their friends and Chloe waiting to help.
Everyone came…to help me? (Y/N)’s eyes widened. They knew Lucifer would care and so would their friends, but to see so many people…it was a shock.
“Surely you know that underage drinking is illegal here on Earth,” said Lucifer, smirking.
Dromos laughed mirthlessly as he leaned back and corked the vial protectively. “Now, you see, the thing is, I don’t take orders from you anymore. Not since the whole abdication thing. So…long live King (Y/N). We just have to clip their wings a little, and they’ll listen to some input from us. Think of us as…regents to the throne.” Dromos grinned.
“If I’m King, can I order you to be executed?” snapped (Y/N), but they clamped their mouth shut again when Dromos dangled the vial over them.
“Now, Lucifer, you gotta admit you’ve been a bit of a selfish king, keeping the whole Earth thing to yourself,” said Dromos.
Isn’t it really God’s thing? thought (Y/N), but at this point they really couldn’t expect demons or angels or anyone else biblical to have logic.
“Give me my child,” snapped Lucifer, not having anything to offer Dromos other than anger at his treatment of (Y/N), Lucifer’s child, his first love.
“Over my dead body,” said Dromos. He chuckled. “Oh, that—that’s right. It’s already dead.” The swarm of demons around him snickered and grinned. “So you’re gonna have to get a little creative.”
Maze drew out her demon blades, and Em pulled out their own. They jumped down to the nightclub’s dancefloor with Amenadiel and advanced on the demons. Instantly, several demons jumped towards them, and the battle began. Maze sliced through several demons, and even when she got hit, she refused to stay down. Amenadiel was just as formidable, able to take attacks and deal out ones of significant strength. Em relied on her smaller figure and speed. She dodged around attackers and slashed at muscle to slow down their human bodies. They didn’t feel the pain, but torn tendons and ligaments affected movement all the same.
Eve had one of Maze’s knives and stabbed at demons that tried to make it out the door. Chloe was waiting for those trying to run into the fray and shot at them. Several ran for the humans guarding the exit angrily. If they could kill the humans, after all, they could bring out more demons for their cause.
One grabbed Olive from behind, and she cried out before grabbing their wrist and throwing them over their shoulder. The ground cracked upon impact, and she stared before curling her hands into fists. If she was suddenly strong, that was fine with her. She pivoted and punched a demon going for Em.
Noa grinned and decided to not wait around, either. Chloe was shooting demons, and Noa grabbed one running for her. The demon’s strength faltered, and he seemed to gasp for breath before falling to his knees. Em sent a knife through his head before he could recover at all.
Leon grabbed the knife and spun on another demon, dodging the swipe from her. They grabbed her arm, and the demon blinked sluggishly as she felt herself tire. Leon took advantage of her sudden exhaustion and plunged the knife into her. Em ripped it out and went for another demon.
Marcel hit one demon when he went for Leon, and the demon jerked back. He turned on Marcel and grabbed the teen, but as he tried to throttle him, he coughed. The demon coughed heavily, and blood spilled over his lips. Marcel made a grossed-out face and kicked the demon back. Olive grabbed him and tossed him carelessly to the side.
None of them asked questions about what was happening and just continued fighting.
Lucifer approached the stage, but Dromos dragged (Y/N)’s body up and held the vial over their mouth, forcing it open with his other hand.
“Ah-ah-ah,” he said as Lucifer slowed and tensed. “I wouldn’t come any closer if I were you.”
Two other demons lunged at Lucifer, and he blocked their attacks. They remained in front of Dromos as Lucifer narrowed his eyes.
“You are going to pay, Dromos,” said Lucifer darkly.
“Really? My money’s on me, pal,” said Dromos, still dangling the vial.
The two demons attacked again, but Lucifer easily parried them. Still, one landed a hard kick, and Lucifer stepped back upon impact.
Dromos clicked his tongue in disappointment. “You’re getting soft,” he admonished condescendingly. “Getting all mushy with the humans. It’s disgusting.”
“Ah!” An angry yell pierced the air, and Eve threw a makeshift blindfold over Dromos’s eyes. He stumbled and let go of (Y/N). Lucifer quickly threw the other two demons to the side before grabbing his kid.
“Dad!” they said in relief as he cut through the ropes holding them.
“(Y/N), you have to run,” said Lucifer protectively. “Do you understand? Em and your friends will get you out.”
“No, I have to fight with you!” said (Y/N).
“No!” said Lucifer, grabbing their shoulders. He stared into their eyes. “This is your father trying to protect you, do you understand? I’m not letting my child stay in danger. Go.” He cupped their cheek. “Let me protect you for once.”
(Y/N) stared at him before nodding and running off of the platform. Instantly, Em was at their side. She touched their hand to reassure (Y/N) she was there (and to reassure herself). Then, they were off, running towards the entrance where their friends were defending their exit.
Several demons ran at them and grabbed their friends. (Y/N) reacted instinctively and raised a hand. The shadows erupted out of every pool of darkness and grabbed the demons attacking the teens. They were dragged back, and (Y/N) quickly stood in front of their friends.
Their wings burst out from their back, bright red and glorious. They glared at the demons as the shadows rose up around them. The demons had the good sense to take a step back.
“You threatened the people I love,” said (Y/N) darkly. “No one gets away with that.”
The shadows grabbed the demons even as they tried to flee, and Em’s knives were ripped from their hands by shadows to plunge themselves into the many demons. The bodies slumped to the ground, permanently dead. Around them, Amenadiel, Eve, Maze, and Chloe were finishing the others. Lucifer kicked Dromos back, and the leader of the demons stumbled.
“There’s no one left, Dromos,” said Lucifer. “Party’s over.” He was ready to punish the demon for what he’d tried to do to (Y/N). No one got away with hurting his kid. “I think it’s time you went home.”
Dromos glared. “Make me.”
Amenadiel and Maze grabbed Dromos’s arms while Lucifer took off his coat. “Very well.” His eyes turned red, and he took Maze’s demon blade and held it to Dromos’s throat.
Dromos smirked. “Are you sure you want them to see this?” he said, staring over Lucifer’s shoulder.
Lucifer faltered and glanced back at where (Y/N) stood and was watching him. He…He couldn’t be a monster in front of his kid.
“(Y/N)…you were supposed to run,” he said, turning to them worriedly.
“I have to protect my friends,” said (Y/N) simply.
“It’s so sweet I’m gonna puke,” sneered Dromos.
“I don’t want you to see this,” said Lucifer.
“Then don’t do anything,” said (Y/N). “Just let Maze stab him. I don’t need you get revenge for me.” They swallowed. “I just need my dad.”
Lucifer took a step towards them.
And then the doors broke down. Everyone flinched, and Dromos laughed as an army of demons stalked through the doors with various weapons. There were even more bodies being inhabited.
Instantly, (Y/N) backed up towards their friends, their wings fluttered nervously and angrily. Lucifer’s eyes went to Dromos in anger and then back to (Y/N) protectively. The swarm overtook the whole room, grabbing Eve and Chloe.
They reached for (Y/N) and their friends, and even as the shadows fought to grab them, several demons grabbed (Y/N)’s wings and pulled them down. Em sliced at many hurting (Y/N), but they were one demon against a swarm. And Marcel, Leon, Olive, and Noa’s inexperience fighting was forcing them to lash out as best they could.
Even Maze and Amenadiel were being distracted and forced to just focus on fighting. Everyone was fighting for their lives as the swarm of demons just kept coming.
Dromos laughed. “It’s amazing how many demon souls you can suss from a little church confessional.”
“(Y/N)!” said Lucifer, trying to push through the demons to grab their hand. His kid was in danger. I’m coming, I’m coming. I’m going to protect you!
He grabbed their hand, and they held on tightly. “Dad!” they cried in fear. “Dad, my friends—help them!”
Even in the midst of so much danger, they were thinking of everyone else they cared about, not themselves. They were being selfless and willing to sacrifice themself for everyone else.
Lucifer’s heart swelled with pride. And then he decided to make (Y/N) proud. He let go of (Y/N)’s hand and stepped up on the dais again.
“Enough!” he shouted, his voice distorting into a boom of brimstone and fire.
His devil wings expanded from his back, and his skin and face turned devilish as his anger and desire to feed fear into the demons around him flared to life. He was Lucifer the angel, but he was also the Devil. And he would be damned if those demons didn’t remember exactly who he was.
Everyone stared in shock and froze. The demons tensed in fear as Lucifer glared out at them.
“Now bow down to your king!” boomed Lucifer’s demonic voice.
The demons let go of Lucifer’s friends and knelt. Em also kneeled in fear, but (Y/N) reached out for her hand. They wouldn’t have them kneel. So, Em stayed close by their side.
Even Dromos knelt. He could see his king wouldn’t have mercy for anyone who didn’t obey. Not when they had already done so much to displease him.
“You do not belong here,” said Lucifer. “Go home.”
His voice carried the command to all the demons. Instantly, every body being possessed collapsed, limp and dead. The demons were gone. Lucifer’s body faded to its natural skin tone, and he took several deep breaths as he looked out over everyone still standing. To his relief, everyone was alright.
“’Bout time they went to Hell,” muttered (Y/N) in exhaustion, and their wings folded away. They made eye-contact with Lucifer, and he broke it first. They frowned, knowing he obviously felt shame for having to show such a side of himself. “Da—” Lucifer’s wings unfurled, and he flapped them once. He was gone. “—d.” (Y/N) sighed.
“Go,” said Em.
“I should stay to make sure you guys are—”
“We’re fine,” said Marcel.
“A bit bruised,” said Leon. “And the shock is likely setting in.”
“But we’re fine,” said Noa before Leon could continue.
“Go to your Dad,” said Olive. “I know he was worried.”
(Y/N) looked at them and smiled. “Thank you for coming. Really.”
“Of course, Birdie,” said Em. “You’re our friend.” And more.
(Y/N) smiled and squeezed her hand. “Thank you.” They ran out of the room. They might not have flying down yet, but they were going to their Dad all the same. All the biblical bullshit be damned.

No More Bad Dreams
This was requested by 🦊 anon who I am desperate to find as I am done with their latest fic but don't want to post it until I find them! Here's an old one in hopes that my tags will bring them back lol.
Elle is gone for two weeks and finds you sick, sniffly and miserable.
=====
Two weeks. Elle had been gone for two weeks. And she’d come back to find you in a shivering mess on the floor, whimpering to yourself about some sort of case related nightmare. She couldn’t imagine what being so sick on a case like the one she’d just left would’ve gotten you.
Penelope had been giving her updates on your condition, letting her know how you were refusing to eat and how high your fever was, etc. etc. She had worked her ass off to solve the case as quickly as possible, using every avenue to have to do so, some that she was not entirely proud of. The Unsub liked brunettes, so she flirted. It worked like a charm.
“Hey bud, it’s time to get off the floor.” She sighed, kneeling down beside you. She squeezed your shoulder, trying to pull you out of your nightmare. Your eyes flew open at the gentle touch and you flinched away, not fully recognizing the blurry, chocolate eye’d figure.
Those eyes brought you comfort, smoothing down the jagged edges of your fever induced nightmares and pulling you back into the real world. She was home and you were incredibly relieved. It wasn’t that you minded being alone, it was that you felt horrible and being alone was a hellish disaster that resulted in you falling asleep on the kitchen floor.
“Elle…” You rasped, reaching up for her with sluggish movements, feeling sort of like a baby with the way you were trying to grab her. Elle pulled you up into a sitting position and held you close, cradling your head against her chest.
You clutched a fistful of her loose shirt and coughed, your chest burning with the effort. Sitting up had made you dizzy and your vision was full of spots. There was a real concern that you might pass out, and definitely would have fallen and cracked your head on the floor without Elle’s support.
“You’re lucky you’re cute, because you’re being super dumb.” The brunette said gently, her voice full of kindness and love. That was her way of showing she cared, that was her way of showing affection. She didn’t often do showy romantic things, but she had her own way of proving her love.
After a particularly rough case she’d make the two of you mugs of cocoa and you’d curl up on the couch together with a crappy sitcom to wind down. Eventually, you’d get around to actually share what’s wrong with the other, but that typically required some sort of alcohol.
When either of you were sick though, all of the norms were gone. She’d spoil you with absolutely anything you wanted, even going as far as to make soup, which she absolutely despised. For a woman so good at cooking, she sure as hell hated it.
When she was sick she got extra clingy. You’d watch romcoms together, get her ice cream, help her shower and yell at Gideon if necessary. You knew she’d do the same for you. Your work schedule was incredibly demanding, working for the FBI was of course rewarding, but also exhausting. There were times when you just needed to rest and take care of yourselves.
“Have you checked your temperature at all?” Elle asked, pulling you out of your quiet musings. You squinted up at her, trying to remember anything from the last few days. Judging by the fuzziness in your brain and the heavy feeling in your limbs, you either hadn’t checked it, or you had and then neglected to take any sort of medication.
“I’m going to take that as a no,” Your girlfriend sighed, tucking a strand of your damp hair behind your ear. She laid a hand on your forehead and hissed softly, her expression turning from loving to pure worry in half a second. Tears filled your eyes at her sudden change and you pulled away, wondering if she’d be angry with you for neglecting your health. Your former partner would’ve been. They probably would’ve just left you alone to fend for yourself.
“Shit, your fever’s really high, we need to get this down, babe.” She said, cupping your cheeks with both of her hands. Her face was a mix of emotions, but you couldn’t detect any anger.
“Okay, here’s what we're going to do,” She decided, frowning over at the bathroom. She was probably trying to decide how exactly she would get you there. “I’m going to start the shower, but we're going to keep it lukewarm so that we can get your fever down a little. Do you think that you can shower on your own?”
You hesitated, honestly unsure if you could do it by yourself. You sniffled and rubbed your nose on your sleeve, giving her an uncertain nod. The brunette smiled and kissed your sweaty forehead, doing a good job at not showing her disgust.
“Good. You shower and I’ll make you some tomato soup.” She helped you stand and walked you to the bathroom, staying with you until the water was at a temperature she deemed acceptable.
“Need help changing?” The profiler smirked, raising her eyebrows at you. You wrinkled your nose and pushed her playfully, nearly falling over with the small expenditure of effort. She grabbed your waist to keep you upright, face contorting back into one of concern.
“Are you sure you can do this? I don’t want you to hurt yourself.” You forced a smile and nodded, blinking away the dark spots dancing in your vision.
“I’ll be fine. Don’t burn the house down.” You leaned over and kissed her forehead, pushing her out of the room.
The shower was awful. You made it about halfway through washing your hair before you got too dizzy to stand up and resolved to just sit on the floor under the cool spray. Not only did your body hurt, but the water was much colder than you thought it should be. Sure you had a fever, but was it really bad enough that it warranted pellets of ice on your head?
“Y/n, you alright in there?” Elle called, drawing you out of your spiral of self pity.
“M’okay. Out in a minute.” You slurred back, practically dragging yourself out of the shower. That's when you realized that you had forgotten a change of clothes. So there you were, standing in the middle of the bathroom, dripping wet, tears beginning to fill your eyes. Every minor inconvenience set you off when you felt this awful.
There was a bathrobe. Comfortable enough, and cozy. It wasn’t quite clothes, but it was clothes enough. You dried off quickly and crawled into the robe, wrapping yourself up in the soft fabric.
You emerged from the bathroom and plodded into the kitchen, leaning comfortably against the woman who was stirring the pot of soup. She chuckled softly when she saw your outfit and grinned at you.
“You look adorable, but you need some real clothes. C’mon sweetie, let's get you into bed.” She teased, turning off the stove before wrapping an arm around your waist. You put your head down on her shoulder and yawned hugely, feeling the heavy exhaustion weighing upon you.
Elle helped you into a soft shirt and flannel pants before laying you down in your big, soft bed. You sniffled softly and laid back, curling up under your duvet. She kissed your hairline and grabbed the remove, quickly turning on a Disney movie, which was one of your sickday pleasures.
“I’m going to get you a bowl of soup, just stay put.” You listened, too tired to get up and follow her anyway. Normally you'd just ignore her warnings and do what you wanted, but your body had pretty much given up on moving. You turned your attention to the television screen, on which an orange fish was swimming too far away from the reef. Stupid fish.
You were thinking about the damn fish and why it was making dumb decisions when Elle returned with a steaming bowl of tomato soup. She sat beside you on the bed and smiled, looking beautiful as ever. Her smile was gorgeous. Everything about her was gorgeous.
“You’re pretty.” You mumbled, sniffling quietly. The congestion had settled in your sinuses and you rubbed your nose on your sleeve before coughing harshly into your elbow. The coughs grated against your throat, bringing your attention back to the incredible pain there. As much as you hated to admit it, you felt absolutely miserable.
“Okay honey. Swallow this for me.” She produced a pill and a glass of water which you downed silently, wincing as the pill scraped down your throat.
“Good. Now, a few bites of soup and you can go to sleep.” Since when had she gotten so demanding? Well, she’d always been firm, but now it felt like she was being mean. You whimpered and took the bowl, uncertainty filling you.
She wrapped an arm around your waist and sat beside you, using the other hand to keep the bowl from spilling in your shaky grip. One bite. That’s all you managed, you couldn’t do it. The warm soup was probably supposed to help your throat, but all it did was make everything worse.
You shoved the bowl into her hands and shook your head, curling away from her. She looked at you with wide eyes, surprised by your sudden change in demeanor. She knew that you had mood swings when you were feverish, but this was unprecedented even for you.
“Hey, what is it?” She asked, putting the bowl down on the side table. She placed a hand on your hip but you jerked away, turning back to her with teary eyes.
“Please just don't–don’t touch me.” You ordered, trying to keep your voice from trembling as badly as it was. Elle nodded and hugged her arms to her chest, frowning at you.
“Okay, can you tell me what’s wrong?” How exactly could you tell her? How did you let her know that your body hurt and so did your mind. That the shadows were turning to twisted monsters in your mind. That all you wanted to do was sleep, but your body ached too badly to let you do so.
“I can’t-it hurts too much.” You finally admitted, feeling stupid for telling her that. You were an FBI agent. Well, you both were, but still. There was a mostly unspoken rule that as agents you couldn’t show weakness. And what had you been doing all day? Showing weakness. You hated it.
“Oh, love. You’re sick, of course it hurts. You don’t have to eat right now if you don’t want to, we’ll figure it out. Come here, we can just watch the movie for now.” She soothed, pulling you into her arms. You put her head on her chest, your body shaking as you cried. She didn’t mind, just shifted so that she could hold you more comfortably.
“Just watch the movie. We’ll get everything taken care of.” Elle rubbed your back and turned up the volume on the TV, just loud enough to draw your attention back to the screen. You were still sniffling quietly, trying to keep your tears inside. After what felt like ages, you felt your eyes begin to slip closed as Lilo and Stitch replaced the sounds of Finding Nemo.
“There you go mi querida. Rest, you’ll feel better when you wake up.” She promised, kissing your forehead. You loved it when she spoke Spanish to you, it felt strangely intimate and always served to calm you down. With those words embedded into your feverish mind, you let the dark, dreamless sleep take over, grateful for the mind numbing cold medicine. No more dreams for you.

Maybe some Optimus angst. Do you write car crashes? If you don't, thats fine. Anything will work :)
I had a few ideas for this, but I decided to go with a romantic x reader thing. I do have another idea for this with just Optimus and I might write that in the future too, but we’ll see. I’m not super happy with how this came out but I got tired of working on it and just wanted to get it out, also Idk if this is particularly angsty either
“You want me to go? I’ll go” you said tearfully and marched to your car, slamming the door shut behind you as you hopped in the driver’s seat.
“(Name), please-” Optimus started, but you were already driving.
You were in tears as you sped out of the base and back towards Jasper. You weren’t even sure why you were crying, it’s not like you hadn’t had this exact conversation before. It was always the same. He would start acting distant, pushing you away and while you knew why, it didn’t make it any easier. He wanted to keep you safe and he wanted to give you an out in case you ever got scared. You knew he did it because he cared about you and wanted you to be safe, but you couldn’t help but feel like maybe he didn’t care about you as much as you cared about him, like he didn’t want to be with you anymore.
Optimus didn’t understand what he had said that had made you so upset. He was convinced anyone who got close to him was doomed to suffer. He didn’t want that for anyone, and since you had no part in this war, other than being with him he wanted to give you an option. An option to get away from his vicinity, because he believed you would be safer that way. Little did he know, you getting hurt would have nothing to do with him.
You were driving down the dark road. It was already late and there were no streetlights on that particular stretch of road. You had to keep wiping your eyes, because you just couldn’t stop crying. Your vision wasn’t blurry but that wouldn’t matter. When the car coming towards you swerved into your lane, you didn’t even have time to react. You felt the impact and then the world went dark.
When you woke up, you weren’t sure where you were. The room was only dimly lit and there was a mechanical beeping and whirring coming from somewhere near you. You couldn’t remember how you’d gotten there or where “there” even was. You tried to look around but your vision was blurry and it felt like you couldn’t focus your eyes on anything.
It sounded like someone opened a door near you and when you looked in the direction of the sound, you saw someone standing there.
“Where am I?” you asked, still groggy from whatever had happened to you.
“You’re in the hospital honey. How are you feeling?” a female voice asked.
“Tired” you answered. “What happened to me?”
“You were in a car crash. Your injuries were quite severe, and you required surgery because of some internal damage, but you’re going to be just fine” the nurse said, as she looked at your chart.
“Is my phone here, I-I need to make a call”
“I can bring you a phone, you must have lost yours in the crash” the nurse smiled and left the room.
She returned moments later and handed you a phone.
“Thank you”
“I’ll give you some privacy” the nurse said, before closing the door.
You dialed the number to the base, and Ratchet answered quite quickly.
“Hey Ratch, is Optimus there?”
“(Name)? Where have you been for the past day?” Ratchet questioned.
“In the hospital. I’m told I was in a car crash”
“A car crash?!” Ratchet exclaimed.
“Yeah, I really need to talk to Optimus, is he there?”
“Yes, yes of course. I’ll go get him”
You heard his footsteps getting farther away from the phone, until you couldn’t hear them anymore. Then there was another set of heavier footsteps that came towards the phone.
“(Name)?” Optimus asked hesitantly.
“Yeah, it’s me” you said quietly.
“I apologize for upsetting you yesterday, it was not my intention”
“I know, but I appreciate the apology”
“How are you feeling?” Ratchet told me what happened to you” Optimus asked.
“I’m okay, just tired. I’m probably gonna be out of here in a couple of days” you explained.
“Would you like me to come get you when you get released?”
“I’d appreciate that” you said.
“I’m sorry, I need the phone back” the nurse said as she peeked her head into the room.
You nodded at her and told Optimus: “I’ve gotta go, but I’ll call you to come get me when I’m released, bye”
“Goodbye my love”
You ended the call and sighed, handing the phone back to the nurse. You were tired and just wanted to sleep. You couldn’t help but feel like Optimus would find a way to blame himself for you getting hurt, even though it was totally unrelated to him. You would just have to make sure he knew you didn’t blame him, and maybe that would help his feelings of guilt too.
Optimus was relieved you were alright, he had called you a couple of times in the past day, but he never got through. He had been worried, but he had also been sure you’d just been angry at him and not that something had actually happened. When Ratchet spoke the words “car accident” he was sure you had died. He was sure the last words he’d spoken to you would have been ones that had made you upset and that you had died hating him. For that split second of quiet between Ratchet’s words, he had felt like his whole word had fallen apart. That didn’t end up being the case though, you were hurt, but you were alive and he was so thankful for that.

Could you please go into details as to how touch is Jonathan's love language? 👀💙
+ Same anon - I didn't want to imply anything lewd, physical touch as a love language firs him very well (that and snark as his other love language) and I'd love to see you elaborate on it!
Hehe of course I can. Thanks for asking!
We’ve got some great examples of Jonathan using physical touch as either an expression of admiration, companionship, or affection.
Take the first time we see Jonathan and Evy interact in The Mummy (1999) - when she’s feeling down, the first thing he does is console her and he does this through physical touch (also words of affirmation, which I believe is his second love language, though you’re spot-on with snarkiness.)
Wow, who made these gifs? They’re so good. [x]
He even holds onto Evy’s arm when they visit the prison where Rick is being held. Yes, it can be that he’s afraid of being there (especially since he stole from Rick) but it’s also a way for him to protect his sister; being able to tug her away if there’s any danger and also in case she feels afraid as well.
Then, when he first interacts with Rick outside the prison, he gives him a warm handshake and pats him on the chest as if they’re already good friends. They hardly know anything about each other at this point, but Jonathan makes the effort to be as friendly as possible (that’s also probably due to his British charm but I digress.) This interaction also acts as “I apologize about before but I promise I’m pretty decent once you get to know me” without saying the words directly.
Now, what about in a romantic sense? Take the first time we see him in The Mummy Returns (2001) - he’s walking with Sheila down the hallway, an arm wrapped around her side and holding her close to him. Yeah, he’s feeling great right now but the option to simply walk beside her is right there and he opts for sticking as close to her as possible instead.
I’m going to take this brief moment to say that he’s a huge gentleman since this is most likely after ~things have gone down~ and he’s walking her out, either to her car or to drive her back to her place (as discreetly as possible.) I just think that’s neat. He keeps up a conversation with her and keeps up the physical touch as well.
Of course, we have all the sweet moments with him and Alex; a hand on the shoulder, wrapped up in a hug, leading the other by the arm, hand holding, etc. Their relationship is so adorable. [x]
Also, he grabs a hold of people in an effort to protect them. Even if he can’t do it very well, he certainly tries (I’d screencap those moments but it’s always mid-sprint so the picture comes out super blurry.)
He also gains comfort through physical touch. Since he’s been through a lot of high stakes, a friendly pat on the back or arm, or even getting pulled away from danger (Rick yeets him so much, it’s so funny) gives him the assurance that 1. he’s not alone & 2. there’s someone there to help him.
I think Jonathan is one of those people who think that when words fail, actions speak louder. So, he shows his love for people (whether platonic or romantic) through physical touch; something that says that he cares without uttering the words himself.
That’s just my opinion, though!
#inbox for schnoobums#anon messages#the mummy#jonathan carnahan#he's so lovely and so caring#one hug from him would cure my mental illness#(i say that after i wrote out an entire reason as to why i believe physical touch is his love language)#there's most likely more i could say but alas i have the attention span of a fly and have decided to eat lunch instead#hope this made sense!

It’s my Vaguetype And I’ll Do What I Want With It
Originally posted on the Fictionkind Dreamwidth on April 6, 2024 In my last entry I talked about my Ga’Hoole owl type and how I experience it as a vaguetype. I’ve been meaning to make a companion piece about my dracomon x vaguetype, but I couldn’t get it to work for the longest time.
So this one is gonna be looser–more stream of consciousness on what I am currently exploring as a digimon – digivolution.
Primer for those not familiar with digimon
If you’re not familiar, digimon can evolve, but unlike Pokemon the evolutions are not a one-way street. They are capable of “de-digivolving” to a previous form for a number of reasons, but it’s usually something to do with taking damage/strain.
So the normal flow of forms go like this:
Baby > In-training > Rookie > Champion > Ultimate > Mega
Most digimon sit at an in-training or rookie level as their base form, but that’s not always the case. If a digimon acquires enough data they can digivolve and move up their base form a level with each level taking substantially more data. So champion and even ultimate level digimon can be seen running around the digiworld, though they are uncommon (especially the latter). However, humans super-charge everything and digimon partnered with them are the exception.
Digimon are extremely susceptible to the emotions and wishes of humans. When bonded to one, digivolution is supercharged and temporary evolutions to even the highest levels are possible. And that, depending on the partner of course, there would be a lot more room for diversity of forms. When the digital world isn't in danger of being torn apart, a lot of digimon species would live together in the same environment with similar life experiences and would be more likely to evolve into a smaller set of evolutions. If they evolved much at all, since again there's a lot of digimon that don't go far beyond the rookie or champion phase.
X-Digimon
Why do some digimon have an “x” after their name? It denotes that they were infected with the x-program, and were able to survive by mutating their code. This change also brings out any latent potential stored in their digicore and alters their appearance - making them stronger in the process. Depending on the amount of latent data, the change can be rather small, or significant. Some digimon are natural carriers of the x-antibody, without an original form to upgrade from, and do not have the x in their name.
Considering my other forms
I am confident in saying my base form is dracomon x – a rookie digimon. However, I also have strong noemata of being a holydramon (the creature in my avatar!) which is a mega.
My other forms…I’m not sure? I have some fleeting sensations and feelings, but these two were so strong, so obvious, that it’s weird now feeling like I’m stumbling around in the dark for my other forms. I must have had them – I had a human partner, I remember digivolving and I wouldn’t normally just skip right to a mega! So what were the others?
For the longest time I just assumed it was coredramon and wingdramon – both of which are the typical evolution path for a dracomon. I haven't ruled them out completely, but I'm also not making progress with them. I don't have a good way to word it, but like, before thinking about my champion form felt like looking at a blurry image that only got more blurry when you tried to look closely. By looking at other digimon options I feel like I'm starting to make progress and bring things into focus more.
This is the closest I've come to making a definitive list so far. The ultimate level (black dragon near the center) is the one I am the most up in the air about. Of course there’s a chance this form might not be a registered digimon, but I know so little about that form it's hard to tell. In the other forms I feel a lot more confident!
To start with, I mostly went off of phantom sensations and noemata. Like, I just felt like the champion forms were bipedal and the ultimate level had an association with flight + a metal component. Also, I felt the champion form was a dragon form, more feral temperament, and flight wasn't necessarily a defining feature like in the other forms, and I knew the general size/shape.
Thing is, this describes a lot of digimon.
And here is where my troubles begin!
What I've been doing this past couple weeks is looking through lists of digimon, sorting out the ones that might fit and trying them on. This includes learning about them/their personality/powers, trying out the form in the headspace and putting thought into what it would have felt like, as a digimon trapped in the human world, as that thing to see how much it makes sense.
I'm actually really comfortable with growlmon. I kept dismissing it because it didn't fly and the artwork for the x variant is off-putting to me. But I kept coming back to it and when I saw other artwork for it, gave it a chance and opened up to the idea of not every form having flight, I took to it really quickly.
Or, I felt that way one day and then the next immediately felt the exact opposite. I felt so strongly that a different digimon, raptordramon, was my champion form. It was bipedal, mechanical, feral and a natural carrier of the x-antibody. Also, it had flight, but I definitely felt more a pull towards it’s temperament. For comparison, here’s the descriptions from the wiki for both digimon:
“Growlmon X is a Demon Dragon Digimon and carrier of the X Antibody. Because it has accepted and contained the extraordinary power of the "Digital Hazard" within itself, and that its attack instinct as a Virus-species enhanced further, it will exhibit a ferocious nature where it is unable to control its overflowing power, changing its personality into one on a thin line with justice depending on how it grows up. However, Growlmon's power has clearly increased, and the blades on both of its elbows have enlarged even more, developing and causing plasma to appear when attacking the enemy.[2]”
“Raptordramon is a Cyborg Digimon and carrier of the X-Antibody. It transformed itself from a wild Digimon that possessed a predatory instinct into a basis for modifications in order to reliably bring down its targets. Because the ferocious nature it possesses is too strong for its organic body to bear, it remodeled them with their corresponding weight in pure Chrome Digizoid metal, restraining their capacity for movement. However, whether it has high power output and flying ability or not is due largely to the organic body of the wild Digimon, before it was modified. Although it's small, if it gradually releases those abilities, it has the capability to easily bring down even a massive Digimon in a single blow.[2]”
I also had been considering a split champion level evolution with raptordramon -- and I think it makes sense. I struggled a lot with being aggressive and spiteful after surviving the end of my world and finding refuge in the human world. I see growlmon x as being an extension of my rage. Of wanting to do the right thing, but being overwhelmed with ferocity and relying on the strength of my partner’s heart to direct my power. To make up for what I lack in self-control.
In contrast, raptordramon has a history with predatory instincts, but has tempered them more with their cyborg parts. Yeah, the goal with the modifications is power, but there is more of an intention there. More thoughtfulness and this digimon is a vaccine type vs. growlmon x being a virus type. I believe raptordramon was an evolution I got access to later, after my partner and I grew to trust one another more and I became more disciplined and less jaded.
Here There be Paratypes and Linktypes
This still leaves my ultimate form unaccounted for. This one is the hardest to pin down. Besides flight and metal components there’s nothing defining to go off of. How did I come to put hisyaryumon on the list?
Looking at digimon evolutions once more, I found a single canon way for dracomon x to turn into holydramon x through growlmon x and hisyaryumon – who can also turn into raptordramon and is also a natural carrier of the x-antibody.
It’s a neat, perfect way to top off the digivolution list and looks awesome to boot. But is it the correct form? Have I put an acceptable amount of thought into it? What even are these forms to me? It's weird being these things, but also not often? Only some of the time? And kinda only because of being a dracomon?
Right now I do feel like hisyaryumon is the closest. I wouldn’t call them kintypes. Paratypes would be closer since my connection to them stems from my established identity of dracomon x. I don’t subscribe to a totally spiritual view of my ‘types, but kardiatype seems close too – something you were in a previous life, but no longer identify as. A part of me feels like I am just picking something to not have a gap. But so what if that’s the case? I’m happy and it’s my vaguetype, I’ll do what I want with it.
- Hortense
