Fam Out 3 - Sophia Laforteza
Sophia Laforteza X Reader
Synopsis - Your girlfriend finally finds out why she is SO delighted with your "family moments"
Genre – Fluff
a/n - Wow, Part 3, I guess I'll have to keep going until they actually have a family (oops, spoiler) <3  (request)
part 1 part 2 part 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The stadium was huge, everything looked beautiful and the atmosphere was exciting. Sophia made sure you accompanied her and the Kats to watch the Rams game, and even though you knew you were going to be the photographer of the night, you wouldn't turn down a night out with your girlfriend.
After taking several photos and record countless videos for tiktok, you were finally seated, your hands intertwined with Sophia's, watching the game. You didn't watch many games, your work took up a lot of your time, but you always liked to watch a match or two when you had free time.
Your concentration was soon interrupted with Sophia squeezing your hand twice, and you knowing what it means, immediately looks at your girlfriend.
"Something wrong, my love?" You say, your eyes interspersed between your beautiful girlfriend's face, and what was happening on the field.
"Can you get more drinks for me and Yoonchae, please?" She says, leaning in and leaving a lingering kiss on your cheek, for a moment you felt dizzy.
Reluctantly taking your eyes off the game and looking at your girlfriend's smile, you smiled and gave the Filipino girl a quick kiss on the lips.
"Of course, beautiful." You stood up giving a friendly wink to Yoonchae, who laughed at your antics.
Waiting for your turn to order, you notice a woman right behind you, assuming she was waiting too, you didn't worry about it, at least not until the stranger patted you twice on the back, making you look back.
"Hello." She said.
"Hi." you said with a polite smile, turning back to the front.
"Ah, so..." The stranger continued, making you once again look back. "I saw you when you walked in, you're very beautiful."
"Thank you." You said, at some point she would understand that you weren't interested in whatever she was going to say.
"I was wondering if you don't want to finish watching the game with me and my friends?" She said biting her lower lip.
The girl had brown hair and green eyes, she was much shorter than you, and now that you noticed, it looked like she was very close to you.
"I don't want to, sorry, I have a girlfriend." You said, turning around again and seeing that it was your turn to order.
You said everything you wanted and waited patiently, taking the money out of your wallet.
"Well, I'm not seeing her here, so maybe she doesn't need to know." The girl says, putting both hands on your shoulders, making you jump and instantly take her hands off you.
"Look..."
"Mom, why are you taking so long? Mommy's worried about you."
Both you and the woman looked shocked. Of course, for different reasons. The woman was shocked that you apparently had a daughter, who appeared to be a teenager, while you appeared to be only twenty or twenty-one. And you, well, you just wanted to know why the hell Yoonchae was calling you mom.
"Oh, who are you?" Yoonchae says, looking at the woman.
"Do you have children?" The woman asks, disturbed by the situation.
"Yes, she does! Why? Do you think I don't look like her because I'm Asian? That's pretty racist, you know?" Yoonchae said defensively.
Now, in this situation, you and the guy behind the counter were just watching the whole mess.
"What's going on here?" Sophia arrives suddenly, wanting to understand the situation.
"Mommy, this woman is hitting on mom, and she's still insinuating that I'm not your daughter!" Yoonchae said like a spoiled child, honestly, you weren't understanding anything.
"WHAT, NO! Sorry, I didn't know she was married, and I'm not racist either. I'm sorry, I'm leaving, I'm sorry."
The woman ran away, while Sophia and Yoonchae let out a laugh. You didn't know it before, but now you were sure you were surrounded by crazy people. Taking her drink from the tray, Yoonchae looked at you and said;
"So "mom", what did you think of my performance?" The younger girl took a sip of her drink quietly.
"Are you crazy? What was it all about?" You say, a laugh escaping your lips.
"You can't think a bitch is going to hit on you and I'm not going to do anything darling." Sophia said, grabbing your cheeks with her fingernails and stealing a kiss.
Grabbing her drink next, the Filipino girl chuckled as she walked back with Yoonchae to they places. Leaving a very perplexed Yn behind.
"COME ON BABY, YOU'RE LOSING THE GAME!"
Tumblr media
It was a cold day, and after much urging from Sophia and (mostly) Yoonchae, you found yourself driving towards a store to buy Christmas decorations for the Kats' house. It was still November, but the girls were pretty excited about it (Your girls in particular). So here you were, pushing a shopping trolley that would soon be full of things chosen by the euphoric girls who walked in front of you.
Sophia would put things she thought were beautiful in the cart, asking for your help on the shelves she couldn't reach, and even making you hold some up high to see if they matched what she was machining in her head. Meanwhile, Yoonchae disappeared and came back soon after with something completely random asking the traditional question, "Can i have this?", receiving some "yes" or "no" from Sophia.
"Okay, what do you think of that one?" Sophia showed a small Santa, probably to put on top of some shelf.
"He's cute." You say, making a point of paying attention to the details, after all that seemed very important to Sophia.
"Yn, can I have this?" Yoonchae shows a simple snow globe, a small house with a few trees in the midst of a large amount of snow.
"Of course." You say, without losing the smile that the younger girl gave you.
After paying for things, you were heading to the car with more bags in your hands than you could count. Sophia waiting for you to leave the bags in the car so you could carry a huge, heavy box with your girls' chosen Christmas tree. Anyone looking from the outside would feel sorry for the young girl carrying so much weight, but oh man, you couldn't love it more.
Driving home, Yoonchae slept peacefully in the back seat, while Laufey played softly through the car's speakers. Your free hand caressing Sophia's thigh while you both had the most beautiful and true smile in the whole world.
"Are you okay?" You asked as the car pulled up to a stop.
"Better impossible." Sophia says looking into your eyes, leaning over and stealing a kiss.
Tumblr media
After assembling all the decorations in the Kats' house, you finally got a rest. With the kats out and about to buy food, you and Sophia had some time to yourself. Enjoying every second with a make-out session, you had Sophia sitting on your lap, her legs on either side of your thighs, their hands ruffling your hair, while you had your hands on the Filipino girl's thighs, your back resting on the headboard.
"I think I finally understood why I love our moments with Yoonchae so much." Sophia said, interrupting the kiss, making you lower your lips towards the black-haired girl's neck.
"I thought it was because you loved us." You said in a playful tone, momentarily stopping the kisses and looking at the woman on top of you.
"That too." Sophia said, rolling her eyes with a giggle. "But the main reason became very clear after the last few days." Said the Filipino girl, taking your hands and intertwining with hers.
"And that reason is..."  You said, waiting for her to complete.
"I want to have a family with you." She said, looking into your eyes.
For a minute, you were speechless, but soon you regained consciousness, and with a smile on your face, kissed Sophia passionately.
The kiss was full of love, a kiss that conveyed security, a non-verbal way of saying that the desire to have a future together was mutual. When you stopped the kiss, you saw tears in Sophia's eyes, you seemed to be hypnotized by each other, and in sync, you both thought you wanted it to last forever.
"I want to spend every day of my life by your side, did you hear?! I want to build everything with you." You say, kissing Sophia's tears and then looking at the beautiful woman in front of you.
"I love you, Yn!"
"I love you much more, Sophia."
Tumblr media
OMG, part three, that's a lot.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it, and Christmas is near, maybe some Christmas story ideas...

Welcome back! So happy to see that you are doing well ☺️
Since requests are open, I was wondering if you could write some headcanons/drabbles about how the Genshin men (including Pierro, Capitano, and Dottore my fave) would react if their darling, who was pregnant with their child, tried to run away? Saying "I refuse to raise my child with a monster like you!"
what it takes to love | various yandere! fatui harbingers x pregnant reader
content warning: mentions of blood, idk if childe's being sorta trad or not but I'll still put it here. I'm also a bit rusty so they might be ooc...
a/n: definitely not a drabble... I hope you enjoy!

CAPITANO
with the newfound knowledge that you were gone, the captain was on the way home.
there was not a lick of hesitation, no, he dropped everything. your leaving meant you were alone on a cold night while pregnant. who knew what trouble you could be in?
the captain knew you couldn't travel far-- it was too dark, too cold. all that surrounded the manor was woods and woods. he made sure to wear his thickest coat and brought with him his weapon in case you were in true danger. he saw your footprints in the snow, it looked as if you were stumbling about in the cold.
Oh, poor you.
this isn't how things should be-- you, running about at night without him there to protect you. you should be in the safety of his arms, in the walls of his manor.
he wouldn't try to further frighten you, that must be why you ran, no? he would place his coat over you and take you home with him.
following those footprints, it seemed you tumbled and fell a couple of times. you couldn't possibly be in a good state. (y/n)... where could you be ?
"(y/n)," the captain called out. he saw you, your cowering form, pressed against a tree, using one of his coats you'd taken with you to warm yourself, "oh, (y/n)."removing his coat, he set it over your shoulders and lifted you into his arms, expecting you to comply.
"no! st-stop. let me go, i... I'm fine!" you'd argue, though, it seemed you were in no state to.
"(y/n), no," the captain shook his head, trying to keep a gentle hold on you even as you squirmed and argued, "you're tired- you don't understand what you're saying. I'll be taking you home."
"i know what I'm saying," you shook your head, pressing your hand against his mask, attempting to push him away, "i don't want to be with you or near you! l-let go of me!"
the cold must be getting to you, capitano reasoned, who knows how long you've been out here? you're clearly not in your right mind. pressing a hand against your cheek, he felt your skin, he felt how cold it was. you needed to be home and in bed. "hush, you're delirious. (y/n), stop fighting me, i need to bring you home. you're harming yourself *and* our child."
"let go of me! stop- i refuse to raise my child with a monster like you!"
his hold on you loosened-- he was stunned, caught off guard. a monster? his hand gripped at the fabric of the coat over your shoulders, "is that truly what you think of me?"
you hated him? that was why you ran? "(y/n)," the captain repeated, his grip on the coat lessened, "answer me. is that what you think of me?"
do you understand how that makes him feel?
it's not as if you always thought this of him, this was a recent development. after getting pregnant, he was... more protective. he took extreme measures to keep you home, to "keep you safe."
it drove you mad.
so, when you woke up one morning to see that all of the house staff, including your maid that you truly loved, had been replaced-- you knew you had to leave.
"yes, yeah..." you nodded, a stray tear running down your cheek, "so, let me down- let me go," you demanded once more, squirming, trying to get away from him once more.
capitano raised his hand and wiped away that stray tear, "(y/n), do not say that-- not to me, not to my face," his hand dropped back to his side. he needed you home with him, now.
and that need was stronger than any other feeling he had at this very moment.
holding you against his chest, trying to keep you as warm as possible as he worked on getting you home.
he needed you back home; whatever happened afterward could happen, as long as you were home with him.
Tumblr media
DOTTORE
how things seemed, you enjoy causing dottore problems.
if you weren't knocking his vials over, you were barging in on his experiments, and if not that, you'd rejected him when he expressed even the slightest bit of affection.
it was always something with you.
and now, on his day off-- on the one day when he had nothing to do and nothing planned, you ran away, or at least you tried to.
dottore refused to let his good day be ruined by something so trivial, so he took precautions.
knowing you, you would do something so he prepared for just about anything you could do.
just about anything... well, he didn't expect you, a pregnant woman, to attempt to jump out of your window to get away from him.
he heard the tell-tale shatter of glass and just knew it was you-- it was always you. he begrudgingly got up from where he was resting and went to your room, where you were halfway out of your window, bloodied from the broken glass digging into your skin.
dottore sighed, "goodness, (y/n)," dottore was approaching you and you could hear him coming closer, so, you tried to lunge yourself out of the window, to get away from him-- to protect your future.
pressing your hands against the sides of the window, you pushed yourself forward, slipping out of the window, but, of course, dottore caught you by the ankle just as you were falling.
you wasted not even a second before you began screaming and swearing at him, trying to squirm out of his grip, "let me go! let go-" you kicked at him as he dragged you back into the room.
once you were in, lying on the glass-covered floor, somewhat numb to the pain, dottore stood somewhere near your side, his arms crossed over his chest, looking down at you. he was disappointed, but why?
"don't... lie in the glass. (y/n)..." he sighed once more, and reached out, grabbing your arm and helping you stand.
it was then that he assessed your injuries, asking that you stand still as he looked at your bloodied arms and torso area-- it was painfully cut from the glass.
*you must be in pain, no?* dottore mused, straightening his back as he looked at the thin layer of blood coated on his fingertip, "I'll forget about this-- I'll even forgive you for... attempting this," dottore assured you, holding your arm as he began to guide you out of your room, "I'll forgive you, i just ask that you never attempt such a thing again."
but... you refused, tugging your arm back and out of his hold, "Don't touch me-- i don't *need* your forgiveness!"
you'd never hated him quite as much as you did after finding out that dottore had no problem with experimenting on children that the knave gave him.
it made you sick. you couldn't allow your child to grow up with a man like him, "i *refuse* to raise my child with a monster like you."
dottore's eyebrow twitched, though you couldn't see it. he thought he knew what to expect from you, but, you always surprise him, "a monster? can you genuinely call me such a thing after all I've done for you?"
when you nodded, dottore stifled his third sigh and brought you along with him, despite all of your arguing and fighting. "(y/n), you're hurt. let me clean those wounds of yours. since you cannot accept my forgiveness and let this go, we'll have a talk tomorrow."
dottore cared for you, of course, he did.
he realized just how much he cared for you-- just how much he needed you when he felt his heart drop at the sight of you trying to leave.
he understood just then how much he'd hate it if you left him.
a/n: lowkey ooc...
Tumblr media
PIERRO
escape was impossible.
with guards at your door, and all around pierro's manor, you couldn't escape.
but, when pierro found out that you had still tried to leave him-- attempting to walk right out the front door, dressed as if you had places to be, he was displeased.
he was immediately informed of this.
so, as you tried to open the gate that was locked, pierro approached you, "(y/n), where exactly are you going?" he asked, stopping to stand right behind you, "it's cold, and you aren't dressed for the weathers condition... ah, aren't you supposed to inform me of where it is you want to go before going?"
pierro knew exactly what you were doing but for you, he could play dumb. it was better than making you feel cornered and possibly upsetting you further.
he could change, he wasn't above it. after all, there weren't many things he wouldn't do for you.
he held his hand out for you, hoping you'd take it, hoping you wouldn't give him trouble-- not now, not when he was in such a generous mood.
you didn't take his hand, no, you weren't even looking at him as you said, "I'd like to go... I want to stay with my family."
your family? pierro felt his eyes twitch-- he wouldn't allow himself to be seen as the jealous type, no, pierro instead nodded his head slowly, "why don't we go back in? it's terribly cold tonight, is it not?" he'd tried to change the subject, try to ease you back into the house without an argument.
"no, uh... I've got a ride. i just need the gate to open."
pierro saw and understood what you were feeling perfectly-- desperation. "we can talk about this tomorrow, no? it's late, (y/n), im not particularly in the mood to be standing out in the cold while you talk about leaving me."
"pierro- im leaving... I'll send you letters and I-I'll even come to visit," you offered, taking a step towards the gate, looking at the lock, that stopped you from leaving.
"no, no, (y/n), you aren't leaving, at any point. how ever you feel, I'm sure you'd feel better if you spoke to me about how you feel-"
"i want to leave because i dont want to raise my child with you."
first, you cut him off, and now you say this? "you're being very rude-- now, we're going back inside. do not argue with me," pierro took your hand into his and began to guide you back toward the manor.
"no! let go, stop it!" you would drag your feet, crying and arguing, "I don't want to be here! not with you! st-stop it! let me go!"
it saddened him, truly, to hear you cry and beg so desperately, but those words rolled off of him. he didn't care at the moment; he just needed to get you back into the manor, and whatever happened after didn't matter.
he'd have a talk with the guards too.
"You're so evil! let me go-! let me be!" you'd argued, dragging your feet, attempting to make things harder for him, "i refuse to have a child with a monster like you!!"
you couldn't imagine raising a child in this environment, in the fatui...
pierro stilled, glancing back at you, his grip on your hand tightened-- then immediately loosened, "you're testing my patience, (y/n). please, just come inside with me. we can talk about this inside."
because there were fewer places to run inside.
(y/n), you truly are a work of art, pierro mused, as he dragged you along, well, he attempted to be gentle but you were making it hard for him.
but since it was you, he'd do anything, even tolerate your rude behavior, since you were his woman and his alone.
Tumblr media
CHILDE
when childe found you, whenever that was, there was no telling what could happen or what he'd do. he loved you, that much was obvious but he was an impulsive guy.
maybe he'd take off his coat and put it over you-- you'd like that, wouldn't you? or maybe, just maybe, he'd hug you out in the blistering cold until he felt good enough to release you... which would be near to never.
or maybe he'd react in anger. again, he loved you, it was inconsiderate, rude even, to leave him while you were pregnant with his child. didn't you promise to start a family with you? (he misheard you. you said you didn't want to start a family with him.)
he wouldn't let his anger get the best of him, no. he was better than that-- he was raised better than that. yeah, he was raised better than that.
childe raised his hand and wiped at the tip of his nose, he was cold. he couldn't image how you'd be feeling right now.
that was all more the reason to find you as soon as possible!
he took this journey alone. he thought it would be somewhat intimate if he found you on his own, it would be manly too-- you'd think he's the type of man you want to raise children with... that's what he thought anyway.
you got a bit of a head start on him, he had just gotten back to snezhnaya when he was informed that you had run off a few hours before he'd gotten back.
oh, he was worried. real worried.
he forgot everything he was planning to do-- eat, change into something warmer, brush his hair, those sorts of things, he forgot all about. you were more important!
before running off, you were staying with his family. it was probably easy for you to leave, just say you're going for a walk and never come back, since his family didn't exactly know all about your relationship with him and how he sorta smuggled you into snezhnaya.
he got home and followed after your footprints for a good while. the sun was setting, and it was only getting colder; at this point, you were probably regretting leaving him and wished to be at home in his arms-- that was just an assumption, of course.
when he finally saw you, in a thin dress and coat, stumbling up a snowy hill, he smiled. (y/n)! its (y/n)!
oh, he felt so relieved to see you!
running past all the bushes and trees in his way, he ran straight into you, hugging you tightly from behind, his hands on your pregnant belly.
"are you hurt anywhere?" that was the first question he asked as he turned you to face him, patting his hands over your arms, checking for any signs of blood on your or your clothes.
he leaned in once again, hugging you after being sure you weren't injured, and his second question, asked in a muffled voice by your ear, was, "What'd ya go running off for?"
"because I don't want to have a child with you."
huh, it seemed childe couldn't hear all of a sudden, as he released you from the hug and slipped his coat off, tossing it over your shoulders, "bet you're cold, huh? now, what'd you say?"
"i do not want to have a child with you."
again, it went through one ear and out the other for childe. he wasn't hearing things right, he couldn't be, could he? "huh? what was that?" his eyebrows raised, and he leaned closer, gesturing for you to repeat yourself once more.
now annoyed, you leaned closer, saying, "I'm leaving you because i dont want to have a child with someone like you."
he straightened his posture, backing away with a less-than-happy expression-- he looked defeated. so, he was hearing things right, huh...
"we gotta see it through... y'know that, right?" still holding your hand, his grip loosened. childe had never felt quite so... sad? angry? betrayed? before.
"no, we don't. I want to go back home, I'll see it through with my famil-"
"we are family," quickly cutting you off, he corrected you, his fingers tensed around your hand, "I'm your family-- everyone back at home is your family. we're your family so why are you trying to leave us?"
he bit at his bottom lip as a means of stopping it from quivering but you could see the tears in his eyes.
"are you kidding me? you forced me to be here with you! you think i came here willingly or someth-"
"you promised me we'd make a family together! you said it yourself, so, why're you acting like you hate me?" his hold on your hand tightened, and he leaned closer to you.
he was desperate-- he didn't want to hear this! not from you, not from anyone he loved, but especially not from you because he didn't just love you; he loved you.
attempting to tug your hand away from him, you shook your head, "I never said that, ever. let go of me- i wouldn't... i refuse to raise my child with someone like you!"
everything he thought knew and believed came crumbling down around him, " oh, well... i don't care," he replied-- he had abandoned his feelings for you, for now at least, he just needed to get you home without harming you, "I love you and... I guess, sometimes that's all that matters."
you could figure it out later-- you could learn to love him later but he loved you now and couldn't let you go so easily.

I wanted to know if you could make another request for the Bat Brother that was created to be a weapon when the Black Canary said he was ready to go to school, Bruce put him in one, but a boy tried to intimidate him and the Bat Brother broke his arm. He still couldn't understand what he did wrong because of his training.
I sure can. I love that idea. Also, this gif is Bruce explaining to the Bat Bro, that no, you can't go break people's arms.
Summary: (Y/N) doesn't understand that intimidation doesn't require broken bones.
Warnings: Bruce is a tired dad, (Y/N) is a weapon, but nothing specific about training, mentions of attacking, but nothing specific
Tumblr media
Bruce sighed as he got a call from the Justice League. Another child that was created to be a weapon. Why? And why is he the first person they call? Damian was with him, since he was on patrol with him since they got the call.
" Father, why are we here? " Damian asked as the two used the Zeta tubes. Bruce sighed yet again.
" Because they think I'm an expert when it comes to children who are murderous. Just because I made sure you are tame I presume, " Bruce replied and Damian scoffed and rolled his eyes.
" Oh please. I'm not murderous. "
" Should I start talking about shrubbery? My beloved animal statues are still recovering. You started at what, 5 am? I did eradicate that habit of yours, didn't I? "
Damian huffed again, crossing his arms.
And yes, if you somewhat managed to tame Damian, a child murderous as him if you don't have Damian, you are officially an expert. That's why everyone turns to him when there is a murderous child. Bruce should start teaching them how to deal with such children.
" Superman. " Bruce nodded in his direction and Superman nodded back.
" Evening you two. We've managed to get the boy's name. His name is (Y/N), last name still unknown. We found him in one of Lex's labs. Under some nth alias. " Superman crossed his arms and Bruce scoffed.
Of course. When in doubt who else could be creating clones? Lex Luthor.
" Why isn't he thrown in prison when there is overwhelming amount of evidence against him? " Damian questioned and Bruce more often than not wondered the exact same thing.
The answer?
" Connections Damian, connections. " Bruce rubbed his chin and Damian scoffed, muttering an of course underneath his breath.
" But don't worry. He'll fall down eventually. If my hunch is right, he is probably messing with taxes. And if there's one thing that America doesn't like, is when you mess with taxes. That's how they took down Al Capone, " Bruce said to Damian, who nodded.
" We'll be waiting for a while then. " Damian crossed his arms now and Bruce chuckled.
" Don't worry Damian. IRS will take care of him. And once he's down, we'll strike as well and put him away for life. Don't worry about it. And how is (Y/N) doing? " Bruce asked, turning back to look at Clark.
" He's... Well, he had to be sedated. He broke Flash's nose. And we checked on him via cameras and he seems... Calm, but I've known you long enough to know that he is simmering deep down inside. " Clark chuckled and Bruce smirked.
" So you called me because the boy is mini me? " Bruce mused and Clark chuckled, shaking his head in amusement.
" Yup. I wouldn't recommend meeting him now though. He is pissed off. Black Canary will come by in the afternoon so she can talk to him. I know that she can take care of herself, but you should be here, just in case. " Clark scratched the back of his head, yawning.
" Tired already Superman? " Bruce teased and Clark chuckled.
" I'm going back to the cave father. Should I tell the others about (Y/N)? "
" Please do Damian. Warn them about the new addition that is going to come. I'll be back in about 20 minutes. Tell the others to sleep as well, " Bruce told Damian and the Robin nodded, disappearing through the Zeta tubes.
Bruce turned back to Clark, who offered him a tablet with the information that Bruce was interesting in. They both knew each other so well.
" Everything here is an estimate, besides the physical appearance. The age and all that stuff, " Clark explained and Bruce nodded as he read over everything. " He's a mini you Bruce, " Clark added and Bruce rolled his eyes underneath the mask.
" Alright. I'll transfer these to the Batcave and just text me the time when Black Canary is coming so I can ditch work. I'm pretty sure I can ditch a boring meeting. " Bruce smirked to himself as he started the transfer.
" Ah yes, the infinite meetings of a CEO. " Clark chuckled and Bruce handed him the tablet back.
" The boy will be fine, I'm sure of it. With some therapy and stability, he'll be good, " Bruce said and Clark nodded.
" I can only hope so. "
Months went by since that last conversation. (Y/N) was aggressive at first and outright refused to talk to Black Canary, who had Bruce behind her, just in case. And yes, Bruce had to restrain (Y/N) to make sure that he didn't hurt himself or Black Canary when he has decided to attack.
And attacks were frequent at first. More often than not, Bruce had to restrain him just so that they could get through a single session. And slowly but surely, therapy has started to work. (Y/N) was slowly but surely starting to opening up and became less and less hostile. Of course, there was a long way to go still, but he was making decent progress.
Bruce brought his boys to socialize with (Y/N). The boys are all trained and if (Y/N) does get hostile, they can take care of themselves. Bruce has warned them about it, so they were all prepared.
And (Y/N) seemed to appreciate the gesture, although distrusting of them at first. So, the boys have decided to take a different approach. Dick has decided to bring some books to (Y/N), some of his own favorites, so that he wouldn't be left to his own devices, aka, his mind and be pissed.
So Dick brought a lot of books. (Y/N) liked them all and Dick was proud to say that he had a great taste in books.
Jason has simply decided to talk to (Y/N) about stupid things he could think of. (Y/N) had a lot of questions for him and Jason was more than happy to answer them. He found (Y/N) nice, but too similar to Damian when he first joined.
So Damian and (Y/N) bonded quickly over their experiences. Damian opened up about his own experiences, sharing techniques on how to remain calm in certain situations. Offered meditation techniques as well and gave him advice on how to accept certain things.
And Tim brought him a tablet where he could watch cartoons, movies, whatever he wanted to get familiar with the world outside of fighting. Essentially, it felt like they were socializing a little puppy. (Y/N) really liked the tablet and took great care of it.
Black Canary also like the approach that the boys were taking and (Y/N) has been even less hostile in their sessions and has actually started to open up to Black Canary. Bruce was also a constant in their sessions, and while he may have looked like a brooding figure, he actually helped (Y/N) be calm.
Soon enough, (Y/N) went to school since Black Canary deemed him ready enough. Was Bruce nervous beyond belief for the first time in a long time? Yes. Damian might have been raised to be a weapon in some sort of capacity, but he was raised as an assassin and assassins are to supposed to blend in. And be somewhat sociable.
(Y/N) was not really raised to fit in. He was raised to be a weapon. Not to fit in. Only to kill. So was Bruce nervous beyond belief during the first week. He has hoped he wouldn't get called in to the principal's office.
But hope doesn't last forever.
Bruce was in Wayne Enterprises, in his office, doing some paperwork when the phone rang and Bruce recognized the number. It was the principal of the school. Bruce knows that number since he used to get a lot of calls from the same man while Jason was still going there.
It's burned into his memory.
He had a feeling it was about (Y/N) and was proven right. He muttered a simple ' I'm coming.' Bruce pinched the bridge of his nose and took a deep breath. This was going to be one rather uncomfortable conversation.
(Y/N) got suspended for 2 weeks. Bruce was not happy in the slightest. (Y/N) broke the poor boy's arm just because the boy decided to intimidate him. Was intimidating (Y/N) fair? No. But was breaking someone's arm just because of that justified?
Absolutely not.
Bruce sat (Y/N) down in the kitchen, thinking that the others wouldn't be home. Oh he was very wrong. They boys were back earlier since they had heard what happened. How? Bruce can't exactly know, but he knows that he has trained those boys. So somehow, they all found out and were ready to listen in.
" (Y/N)... We've talked about what to do when someone is intimidating you. You can't put your hands on them. " Bruce put his hands on his hips and (Y/N) crossed his arms.
The four boys were enjoying this. Jason snickered to himself and Damian smirked.
" I mean, (Y/N) isn't technically in the wrong. Why was the kid intimidating him in the first place? " Jason muttered to himself and Damian nodded, agreeing with Jason.
" It was a form of self defense. "
Tim shook his head and Dick chuckled to himself.
" No, self defense would mean that he put his hands on you first. But he didn't. You did. Which is assault. Thank God that by paying the medical bills would keep them off our back. " Bruce now crossed his arms, trying to be calm and patient. " I know it's not easy to live a normal life when you weren't raised like that, but you have to adapt. Black Canary and myself have taught you that. Where is the disconnect? " Bruce inquired.
" Well, he threatened me. Soon enough, he would turn into a real threat, " (Y/N) defended himself and Bruce swore that (Y/N) was like an another version of Damian.
" It doesn't matter. It's not self defense. I've texted Black Canary and you are going to have your sessions double during these 2 weeks, " Bruce declared and (Y/N) scoffed, showing some sort of sass.
Bruce wanted to rip his hair out.
" Go to your room and reflect on what I told you. I'll call you down when dinner is done, " Bruce sighed, rubbing his forehead. (Y/N) clenched his jaw as he walked upstairs.
Damian and Jason were smirking, knowing exactly how he felt. Tim and Dick sighed to themselves. They knew that (Y/N) felt frustrated and angry. They had another version of Damian on their hands. Maybe an even more difficult version.

——IT ALL BEGAN SO SIMPLE. Once Gojo got you home, he opened the trunk of his car to reveal the fifteen dresses he'd purchased for you, all of which he forgot to tell you had also been tailored for you as well.
He left that part out because the two of you had gone to get a dress tailored once just a few days ago. The dress you wore to Sukuna's party was specifically tweaked to fit you perfectly and after that, Gojo took the extra step of having the tailor keep your measurements for future dresses.
It was a detail he decided to leave out because he'd been planning for this for a while now and he didn't want you to think he was weird in any way-- even though the gesture was rather nice of him. Gojo was also sure to leave out how expensive each dress actually was, never wanting to reveal the fact that he'd spent his entire bank account on you if he could.
You went upstairs first, carrying only one dress with you as you did so. When you got into your apartment, you quickly noticed that Shoko had left some time ago, giving you the space for a while. Since it's a Friday, you recall that she has one class and then usually likes to go out and do something right after.
Within minutes after you walk into your apartment, Gojo is entering with the remaining dresses piled up in his hands. You would've helped him carry more but he insisted otherwise.
He takes all the dresses into your room and places them on your bed, just as you instruct him to. Once he's done, the man goes ahead and seats himself onto your mattress with an expectant look in his eyes.
You blink, one dress still in your hands as you wonder why Gojo's looking at you in such a patient way, "What? Why are you still sitting there...?" You ask simply.
Gojo shrugs, "I mean I didn't buy all those dresses for no reason..."
You scoff out a laugh, "Ohh, you want me to try on the dresses for you?"
He flashes you this innocent little smile, "Mhm..."
You narrow your eyes at him, "You'd see the dress whenever I wear it though..."
"That's not true, I'm not gonna be at this nightclub every time you go, I'm just taking you tonight since it's your first time there," Gojo explains.
You stare for a second, then nod, "Uhuh... Fine then, I guess I'll try on the dresses for you..."
He smiles, "Let me know if you need help putting them on-"
"You're not slick, Satoru," You cut off as you turn and dip into your bathroom.
The sound of him chuckling is heard as you move around and begin to change yourself into the first dress. Like all the others, the dress is beautiful and so obviously expensive, despite whatever Gojo tells you about it not being pricey.
You're careful to put the item on, quickly noticing how it fits like a glove and how pretty it looks on you. This first dress is silk and dark blue, almost royal blue, backless, and rather enticing. Just looking at yourself in it makes you feel odd.
The dress you wore to Sukuna's party was one thing, after all, you've been to plenty of parties before so it was your typical dark red party dress. But this dress... Well, you know Gojo said the club was pretty fancy but based on this first dress and the glimpse you caught of the other ones, it seems like classy is what you're gonna have to go for.
When you consider yourself to be done, you open the bathroom door with your eyes down on the dress as your free hand moves to smooth it out. Gojo's eyes are all over you instantly and when you look up, you're not too surprised to see him moving to get off the bed.
"Why are you getting up?" You chuckle, watching him casually approach you.
Gojo's soon standing in front of you, towering over you like always, "I needed a closer look."
"You might need glasses because I'm pretty sure anyone could've seen everything perfectly fine from my bed," You say in response.
He smiles and tilts his head at you, "Gimme a spin."
You fold your arms under your chest, "Say please."
"Please?" Gojo utters as if it were second nature to do so.
With a roll of your eyes, you slowly turn yourself around and give him a full three-sixty of the dress. Gojo's got this big stupidly happy smile on his face as you do so as if he couldn't be more at peace watching you perform such a simple act.
When you're done and come to a stop facing him once more, he's still smiling at you. "Well?" You ask.
"Y'know I'm gonna say you look beautiful in everything, right?" He sighs, the look in his eyes just dripping with affection.
You swallow, "Then what's the point of me trying all these on...?"
"I'm gonna help you figure out which one you should wear tonight!" He says cheerfully, "Gotta' make sure you make a good first impression on Nanami."
A brow is raised in question, "You do know he's seen me before, right?"
Gojo does this gesture with his hand as if to wave off what you just said, "That doesn't count."
"Right, sure it doesn't." You say, shaking your head at him.
"Oh, I also bought you shoes," Gojo suddenly tells you, turning away and heading back over to your bed.
You watch with wide eyes as he flops down onto your mattress, "What? Why?"
"Uh, to go with the dresses, sweetheart." He hums.
"Well, where are they?"
"Check your closet," Gojo says, laying down on his back and staring up at your ceiling, "Shoko said they came earlier this morning."
You blink, not sure how exactly to react just yet. It's so unusual for you to get spoiled like this. It's one thing for him to buy you a dress every now and then, and another thing for him to pay you for your sinful acts but to go out of his way and purchase this much for you is just...
New.
Your feet move to your closet and the second you open it, you're met with a shitload of new shoeboxes. "Wh-What the hell..." You say softly.
Gojo sits up slightly, holding his body up with his elbow and looking in your direction, "Hm?"
"Satoru..." You whisper, your eyes darting all over the fifteen different boxes of shoes in front of you. "You didn't really..."
"I did," He hums, "I swear they aren't as expensive as you think they are-"
"Shut up," You cut off. He closes his mouth quickly and you crouch down to the first box that catches your eye. "Satoru, these are Christian Louboutins...."
"Oh, I forgot I got those..." He replies.
You move the box around in your hand to inspect the item, "They're like a thousand dollars for each pair on average..."
"Okay...?"
Your eyes go to the other boxes nearby, "I'm seeing seven different pairs..."
"Seven different colors," Gojo explains with a casual shrug.
You take a second to reply, wondering what the hell is wrong with this man and trying to figure out why he'd go out of his way like this. "That's roughly seven thousand dollars on just shoes." You point out after some quick estimates made.
"Okay.....?" He chuckles, "They're shoes for you."
Your heart throbs in your chest in reaction to his emphasis on the shoes being for you-- as if he were implying that the price will never matter if it's something for you. Carefully, you place the box back down, too scared to even open it and look just yet.
"I..." You release a sigh, "I don't understand you..."
For a moment, Gojo goes quiet. You can't see his face so you don't catch how his expression grows worried. He feels like you may even be upset with him for a moment, which is the exact opposite of what he'd hoped to achieve with this.
After a moment of thought, "Is it too much...?" He asks softly.
"Yes, yes it is." Your response is quick and you go on to ramble immediately, "Why the hell would you buy all this for me just for me to go to one little nightclub? There are thousands of other heels you could've bought for me that aren't nearly as expensive. I'm gonna feel like I'm literally walking on eggshells the entire night because of how expensive these are. What if I break them? What if they get dirty-"
"So..." Gojo cuts you off, raising a brow, "I should've bought you a backup pair for each shoe?"
He sounds so genuinely confused that it's almost funny. "No Satoru, you shouldn't have bought me anything this expensive to begin with." You say calmly.
He blinks, "Why not?"
"I..." You sigh again, "It's weird."
"Weird how?" Gojo questions, not understand your reaction at all. He thought you'd be happy about this kinda thing, he's seen the way your eyes light up whenever he pays you so what's the difference here? "I'm buying things for the woman I love, what's so weird about that?" He questions.
"Stop saying that."
His brows pinch together, "What? That I love you? Or, that you're the woman I love?"
"It's all the same, just stop." You tell him.
"Why?"
"Because..." Your words fall off your tongue as you lose the reasoning behind why you want to hear him stop uttering such a phrase.
Every time he says those things it's like you can hear the truth behind his words. Almost as if in no universe could you deny the fact that you wholeheartedly believe he's in love with you. And for some reason, that belief of yours confuses you.
Gojo grins a little, "Because what sweetheart?"
"I don't know how to feel when you say things like that." You finally explain.
"There's no right or wrong way to feel, y'know..."
You shrug, "Well, it makes me feel... weird."
A sneaky little smile spreads across his face, "Is it because you love me t-"
"No." You deny it instantly.
"Alright then," Gojo sighs, "What is it?"
"Sympathetic." You correct him, somewhat figuring out what it is you feel as he utters those three words to you.
"Huh?"
"Every time you say that you love me or do things that make me feel like you love me... I begin to feel sympathy for you." Your explanation makes his heart race for some unknown reason.
Gojo swallows, "W-Why?"
"Cause' it's like... the things you do are making up for the bullshit you make me do. A-And it's all so fucked up because the last thing I want to feel is sympathy for my blackmailer." You stammer, steadily getting worked up over this small conversation.
Gojo lets out a sigh of relief and then smiles softly, even though you're not looking at him yet, "Listen, I'm not spoiling you like this because I want you to forgive me for what I've done. I... I don't ever expect to make up for it. But, if getting you new expensive things can put a smile on your face, even if only for a second, I'd sell a limb to be able to provide that for you."
Your head whips around to the man, "What?"
"Anything," Gojo says, meeting your gaze. He's so serious that it's almost dark the way he looks at you, "I'd do anything for you."
There's this sharp feeling in your chest. It's like you could feel the gravity of his words weighing your heart down. Almost as though, you knew he was serious.
Nearly overwhelmed by his seriousness, you quickly turn your head away, "I appreciate that..." You murmur, unsure of a better way to respond.
"Great-"
"But," You interrupt, "I don't understand why."
"Those three words." Gojo explains, "That's why."
"Because you love me?" You ask.
"Mhm." He hums in response.
"Well," You slowly begin to stand up and move out of your closet. "I don't understand that either."
Gojo watches as you grab another dress to try on and take it into the bathroom. He gets how you find his feelings for you confusing and has no intentions of explaining them just yet so instead, he results in saying something rather simple.
"Love isn't meant to be understood, sweets," Gojo tells you just before you shut the bathroom door.
You merely hum in response to that and the rest of you trying on dresses goes pretty smoothly.
With each dress, he'd comment on either how the material looks good on you or how the color makes a certain feature of yours stand out, all of his comments well thought out and making you feel all warm inside. You eventually even start trying on the heels with these dresses and each outfit is something you never thought you'd find yourself wearing.
Not that they didn't fit your usual style or anything but the prices that followed the items you wore were just something you'd never given yourself the leisure of even looking at. So to have such pretty and expensive items on your body and in your closet felt really nice.
Eventually, you land on the last dress. The color alone made you not want to wear it because simply looking at it reminded you of that morning you spent with Gojo. It was baby blue and rather small on you. There were these thin spaghetti straps that went over your shoulders, a decent amount of cleavage was revealed, and once you got down to how it just barely stopped at your thighs, there was this small slit in it.
It was cute and when you turned around, you noticed it hugged your ass nicely. Even so, you didn't want to reveal yourself in it to Gojo because you had a feeling you knew what his reaction would be.
"It's been fifteen minutes, love. Need some help?" Gojo calls out from the other side of your bathroom door.
You looked to the bottom of the door and noticed his shadow was there, smiling to yourself at how he so clearly knew you were purposefully taking a while. "No, I don't need help..."
"Thennnn what's taking you so long?" He hums.
"Nothing." You say before moving to open the door.
You're quickly met with Gojo standing there, leaning against your doorframe like always with a little smile on his face. His eyes are on your face, not yet dropping down to the dress.
Slowly, he allows himself to get a look at you and you watch the way he smiles. "You are so..."
"Beautiful?" You finish, having heard him say the same thing for the past hour or so, "Yeah, I know-"
"Perfect," Gojo corrects, "You're absolutely perfect."
You roll your eyes at his compliment for the millionth time, "Whatever."
He moves a hand to your waist and suddenly pulls your body close to his. Your chest presses up against him and your eyes frantically search his in question of why he's suddenly touching you.
Then, you catch that look in his gaze that you haven't seen in a while. It's the look that makes your knees go weak, that begging and pleading look of his that so clearly tells you he wants his lips on yours. You hate the way you recognize it so quickly now.
Gojo leans down to you, his arm slithering all the way around your waist, "This is the one." He whispers to you.
You blink, "The one what?"
"The dress you should wear tonight," He clarifies.
"Why? Does Nanami like blue or something?" You ask curiously.
Gojo shrugs, "I think so."
"Oh.." You murmur, watching as Gojo's face nears yours.
He stops himself just an inch away from your lips, his head tilted and his eyes low on yours. He doesn't say anything just yet, simply looking at your lips with the strong desire to place his own over them.
"Can I..." He trails off a little, almost as if he's nervous to ask his question.
You don't know why but you just nod, permitting him to kiss you.
What was it about this man that made you miss the feeling of his lips over yours? You don't know. You have no idea why every time Gojo's lips press into yours and you kiss him, your knees go weak, your brain stops working, and you feel so drowned in love.
You don't feel the same for him but damnit you can't deny how much you enjoy the way he kisses you. Sometimes, like right now, it's gentle and slow, his lips carefully and strategically moving over your own until his tongue is in your mouth, affectionately making out with you as his hand travels up and down your back.
Other times it's hot and heavy, both of you chasing the feeling of each other's lips as if time will one day stop you from feeling that connection.
Currently, you find yourself lost in his kisses, panting softly by the time he pulls away and both of you moving in for more just as quickly as you pulled away. So lost in it, you don't even think as he eases you into your bathroom and lifts you onto the counter, his lips desperate against your own.
Gojo's not kissing you like he wants to have sex with you or anything, he's kissing you like he just enjoys the feeling just as much as you. It's like he melts into your mouth, releasing small hums and even smaller whines into your parted lips as he sinks into the moment.
His hands go to your face, cupping your cheeks in his hand and kissing you like his life depends on it, and as if he's worried you'll slip away from his grasp at any given moment. After which, Gojo's hands would be on your thighs, sliding up your legs and just barely going up and under the dress, eager to just feel your skin.
As he does so, you think you get dizzy when he pulls away just to whisper, "I love you," In the lowest voice you've heard from him.
And it's not just one time he does that, it's constant that he breaks the kiss just to whisper those three words into your lips as if he wants you to never forget it as if he needs to chant the phrase in order to pass the needed level of understanding behind it.
"So much," Gojo utters, "I love you so fucking much." His lips are back on yours within the next second, needy tongue shoving into your mouth that you so gratefully accept.
You're unsure of what you've done to make this man be so deeply in love with you like this. Maybe the day you find out, you may reciprocate the feeling but as of now, the the only thing you can do in response to his repeated claims is kiss him back.
You could never utter those three words back to him. I love you. It's a phrase you've reserved for someone else. A sentence in which you direct toward an entirely different man. Even now as you make out with Gojo, you still think of who's stolen your heart.
Somewhere deep down inside, you tell yourself that it should be him instead. It should be Choso telling you that right now. It should be him holding you so lovingly, kissing you so tenderly, and longing for you the way Gojo does.
That's who you should be with at this very moment and yet, there you were, against Gojo's lips hearing how in love with you he claims to be.
As of now, you could only await the day in which you'd be where you're supposed to be.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆ . . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
After about forty straight minutes of locked lips with Gojo Satoru, the two of you eventually pry yourself off of each other. You hadn't even realized you kissed him so long and you didn't even notice the way your lips made it to his neck at one point.
It was almost subconscious the way you left hickeys on his neck, marks that he had no intention of stopping you from making. Gojo actually held your head at his neck at one point, thriving in the feeling of you against him.
When the two of you were done, you watched him admire the work you'd left on his neck as he gazed in the mirror. His fingers traced over each one and the man wishes he could keep them there forever. To have evidence of you on his skin was something he'd wish to keep forever.
Even so, the two of you eventually left the bathroom and it was decided that the final dress you tried on was what you were going to wear that night.
Gojo left later that afternoon and told you he'd be back to pick you up when it was time to go. You still didn't quite understand why it was so important for him to take you there but you didn't argue with him about it.
Shoko eventually stopped home later that afternoon and she teased you about going out for the second night in a row. This time, even though she wasn't going with you, she went ahead and got ready with you-- the two of you helping one another with makeup and accessories.
She even made a comment on the dress you were wearing, saying that it was really pretty on you and that she loved the color. She also not-so-sneakily made a comment on how she recalls Gojo having a tie from high school that matches it but you brushed her words off.
And of course, to your surprise, the tie in question ends up being around the neck of Gojo Satoru when he comes to pick you up. Why would he match his tie with your dress? You don't know and you didn't care enough to ask. It's not like you and him would be side by side throughout the night anyway, you were supposed to be meeting Nanami.
The nightclub in which you were set to be was located all the way across town and the drive took forever. The ride was filled with low music and Gojo telling you things he thinks Nanami would look for in a woman.
He tells you that you have to be careful not to be too bold with him because Nanami may misinterpret what you've approached him for, going on to tell you how the guy apparently gets hit on a lot and turns a lot of people down. So basically, you'll have to be careful with your flirting.
You take a mental note of everything he's saying and by the time you get there, you think you're ready for the whole thing. You've only seen Nanami twice, once in a photo and another in person but you could spot the man in a crowded room since he has rather distinguishing features.
Plus, Gojo told you he'd be at the bar and probably the furthest away from the dancefloor so you'd most likely find him there.
Even so, Gojo wanted to at least be in the building with you so he walked you to the door and entered the building with you. The man even gave the bouncer at the entrance a death glare for ogling you. After that, the two of you entered and you quickly noted how fancy the place really was.
It wasn't your typical club with people partying and drinking all over the place or loud music blaring throughout the building. Instead, there were people dressed very classy and almost elegant in certain areas. The dancefloor was filled with a few couples, all of whom danced to some slow jam.
You actually liked the scene in front of you. The only thing you felt nervous about was looking out of place. Luckily, by Gojo's side, you fit right in since he was wearing a suit and pulled himself together rather nicely. But, you wouldn't be around him the entire night.
And that was what worried you.

TEACH YOU A LESSON carl grimes x fem!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warnings — both are 18+, repost of an old fic because i feel bad for depriving you guys, overstimulation, ruined orgasm, jerking off, oral (m!receiving), sub!carl
Tumblr media
it got on your nerves how all of a sudden a new girl comes to the school and your boyfriend is all over her. maybe you're overreacting, but he's still spending too much time with her for your liking. the two of you have barely spent time together the past few days.
that brings you to now. sitting outside next to ron. you were in your normal spot, right next to where carl was supposed to be sitting. instead he was teaching enid how to use a gun, which the girl was already clearly an expert at.
the worst part, he was way too close. arms around her close, ignoring her murderous glare.
but what really caught your attention is the way he was looking at you. you've been with carl so long that you can read him like an open book. he was doing this to get a reaction out of you. soon after he was making his way back to your spot, but you don't even give him time to sit down.
you grab his arm and stand up, "let's go."
"go? where?" it didn't take a genius to recognize the suggestive tone in his voice. but you didn't answer him, just took his hand to lead him to his house.
he would say snarky things while you walked even though he knew he wouldn't get an answer. "cat got your tongue?"
you whip around and grab the collar of his shirt, pulling him down harshly. "i don't know what you were hoping for but trust me carl, you're not getting it."
the smirk on his face drops but quickly returns. "punishment or not, you're gonna fuck me."
he was right, you did. but here the boy is now, squirming on his bed on the edge of his third orgasm and you showed no signs of stopping. it was a sight to see truly, his head thrown back, legs quivering. your hand was working on his cock in slow motions.
"please, please, please."
you giggle, speeding up slightly causing the boy's mouth to drop open. "please, what baby?" he didn't answer you, all he did was grab your arm and whimper.
you pout in faux sympathy, "want me to stop?"
his grip on your arm got tighter and he leaned forward, guiding your hand to make sure you didn't "no!"
a sadistic smirk finds its way to your lips, something popping in your head that would guarantee carl never stepping out of line again. maybe it was a little harsh, your heart clenching a little at your precious boyfriend. he'd already apologized and was doing so good.
but it would teach him a lesson.
you continue pumping him, speeding up a little and nearly laugh when 'thank you's repeatedly fell from your boy's lips. you truly can read him like an open book, so you could tell when he was about to cum. you wait until the moment he was about to and pulled away, ruining it for him.
tears spring his eye at the dull feeling, "why?" he whimpers, head lifting off the pillow to look at you before falling back in desperation.
maybe you felt a little bad, but you also really liked it. "i'm sorry baby, was that mean?" he nods, pretty tears falling from his eye. your hand wraps around him again and he jolts, pushing it away.
"oh, you don't want me to finally give you what you want?" his eyes widen,
"no, i do! please," you smile at him and lower yourself on the bed.
once your mouth is level with his cock you look up at him again, "you sure you can take it baby?"
he nods, "mhm, i'll be good. promise."
he nearly sobs when you take him in your mouth, sucking on his tip lightly. you watch his reactions and wonder how someone could be so pretty when they're a mess. you lower your head, attempting to take him all in your mouth no matter how difficult it may be. you wanted to see just how wrecked he could get.
his hand finds its way to your head, not pushing, just tangling in your hair while he looks down at you in ecstasy. when you start bobbing your head it's obvious he won't last longer. he finishes down your throat with something between a moan and a groan.
"i hope this teaches you a lesson carl."

"Kyeom, I'm gonna go. I have assignments to do"
"What noooo, the game's just about to start" he mutters, he even kick feet like a little kid
"Then stay, but I'm going" you didn't even give him a chance to say anything because you're already out the gym doors. Your bestfriend used to your attitude at this point, he lets you be.
You pull your bag on your shoulders as you walk towards the school gates, some students were also on their way out since classes are done. Just as you were about to exit, someone calls your name making you look back.
When you spot who was calling you, confusion took over your face. Wondering why Kim Mingyu is here running after you when he should be inside with the basketball team.
"Hey, glad I caught you" he smiles at you.
Kim Mingyu, the guy who's known across all campus. He's the star student, all the teachers like him, he's never missed a class, he's good at studying, never the troublemaker, has a big circle of friends and an even bigger number of admirers from all across the school.
"What's up, do you need something?" you nonchalantly replied but that didn't deter him one bit
"Yea uh actually I wanted to ask you out" he scratches the back of his neck, looking down at his shoes as he waits for your answer
"Me?"
"Yea, I like you"
"Oh uh thanks. But I'm not really looking for that type of thing right now"
You watch the smile fall from MIngyu's face before it comes back again, it doesn't quite reach his eyes though. You notice.
"Oh"
"Yeah, sorry but uhm goodluck on your game though. I'm gonna go now" you wave goodbye before going your way. Not once turning to look back where Mingyu was left standing.
The rest of your high school life flew by like that. You still mostly kept to yourself, a few close friends, never really wanting to have any eyes on you. Mingyu never contacted you after that. You two acted like strangers once again, his confession something only you and him know.

Present Day
"Did you get the invite?" Dokyeom asks the moments he enters your apartment. After all these years, he's still your bestfriends. Most of your 'friends' from high school you've already lost contact with, you realized you were only friends with them only because you saw them everyday. Not many of them really made the effort to keep in contact, you can't blame them though since you didn't either.
But that's life. People come and go.
"For?"
"Our high school reunion, please tell me you're going"
"I did get it, and no I'm not going"
"What? Why? It'll be fun" he still does this thing where he stomps his feet like a kid when you say no to him, annoying but he's your bestfriend so you learned to put up with it.
"I don't even talk to anyone from high school apart from you"
"I'll be there, you can talk to me" he weakly reasons out, trying to plead with you is like trying to move a cement brick wall. He knows it's a losing battle but he still tries anyways.
"You won't stop bugging me unless I go, won't you?"
"You know me too well"
"Fine, but I'm not staying long"
"3 hours tops"
"2, take it or leave it"
Leave it to Dokyeom to make sure you're actually coming because by 5pm the day of the reunion, he came to your apartment even though you're taking your own car since you don't plan on staying as long as him.
"Oh you actually got ready" he says when you open the door
"I don't want another long message from you, let's go before I change my mind"
The two of you drove separately to the venue, as an introvert you admit when you got there you already want to go home. You see the familiar faces, already dreading the amount of small talks you have to do for the rest of the night. Cursing Dokyeom in your mind.
Your bestfriend didn't even give you a chance to step back inside your car before he's pulling you inside, saying hello to everyone on your way in. He's always been the nicer one between the two of you.
The two of you grab some snacks and drinks before continuing on meddling with your former schoolmates. Your social battery draining drastically by the second when you hear Dokyeom almost scream from beside you,
"Kim Mingyu! Yo dude you made it"
You look over where Dokyeom went, watching him give a bro hug to the guy. There Kim Mingyu stands, still as handsome as ever. A lot of years passed by but he still looks the same, just even better now.
The years have indeed been kind to him.
With everything happening around you, you can't help but feel overwhelmed. A few moments away from sneaking out but Dokyeom catches you once again before you can even give it a try
"Y/N's here too, you remember Mingyu right?"
You wanted to step on your bestfriend's shoes to make him shut up but instead you just shoot him a tight lipped smile before turning to the taller guy,
"Hi"
"Hey, it's been a while. I haven't seen you since... graduation"
"Yea, you too"
End of conversation.
You're still the same, Mingyu thinks. You're still the same girl he liked back then, you're still just as hard to read, still answering with single sentences, still beautiful like the day you broke his heart.
He wonders how you've been since then. Are you dating anyone or are you still out there breaking other guys' heart with your cold demeanor. He's still friends with Dokyeom and last he heard you've been doing okay. No mention of a boyfriend.
You don't give him a chance to ask any question, you say something to Dokyeom before walking towards the door
"Is she alright?" he can't help but ask
"Oh yea, she's being her usual self. It's a miracle I even got her to go tonight so I won't even be surprised if she's about to sneak home now, I'll just call her later"
"You two still close?"
"She's my bestfriend, dude. Of course we are, we're like twins ya know. Anyways how's the cafe going"
Mingyu hangs out with Dokyeom for the rest of the night, they didn't really run out of things to catch up on. He can't help but wonder how two very different people manage to stay close friends. But then again it's Dokyeom, one of the nicest guy he knows. At the end of the day, he's glad you're friends with someone like him.
The next day Dokyeom calls you to bombard you with stories about the reunion that you missed when you came home, he goes on and on about catching up with Mingyu then some other people from your batch you don't even talk to anymore but you listen anyways.
After the phone call, you get ready to go to work. You go on with your routine and before you know it you're done with your 9-5. That goes on for the rest of the week.
Some people hate it but you liked having a routine, it drives you crazy when things don't go your way.
Like tonight, your workmates all but forced you to come with them for afterwork drinks. You wanted to decline but you already done so many times so they made sure you come with them this time.
"Okay okay so what if you're in a room full of all the people you ever liked, who would you go to?"
Everyone take turns to answer until all head turns to you, "Oh me?"
"Yea, come on spill the details girlie we won't tell" one of your workmate jokes, clearly drunk
You take a few more seconds to think before you say your answer
"I guess this guy I rejected in high school"
"What? Oh my gosh whoooo, tell us tell us what happened" they excitedly ask
"Oh no big deal, just a guy. He was nice, like really nice. I liked that about him, but uh I guess high school me wasn't ready for any kind of commitment so I rejected him. I choose him because I want to apologize, that's all"
"Aw did you hear that? that's so cuteee"
"So where is he now?"
"I don't know, I never really kept in touch"
You grab your glass so you can avoid any more questions, after an hour to tell them goodbye since you still have to go to work tomorrow.
And as expected you woke up with a slight headache, even though you wanted to stay in bed for the day you know you can't. You get up and get ready for the day, planning to stop by this cafe your workmates keep on mentioning on your way to work.
Good things it's still early, when you got the cafe there were only a few people inside. You can smell the freshly brewed coffee and pastries on the stand.
"Next, Hi goodmorning what can I get you?"
"Hi, can I get an iced Vanilla Latte and a bagel with cream cheese to go? Thank you" you say your order while the cashier notes it down "Okay, for a moment I'll just get your order ready"
"Sure" you wait on the counter for your order, checking the other pastries and the menu board.
Mingyu was at the back, getting some stocks ready for the day when he spots someone on the counter. He had to do a double take to make sure it was you standing in his cafe, immediately a smile forming on his face as he watch you look at the display case.
You're too lost in your own world to notice him now standing Infront of you so he clears his throat to get your attention, "Can I get you something else, see anything you like?" he asks
He can see you weren't expecting to see him here, out of all places.
What in the twisted fate was this, you think to yourself.
"Oh uh the other barista already took my order" you tell him, Mingyu goes to the other guy telling him something before returning to the register with your order, "One iced vanilla latte and bagel with cream cheese, here you go. Anything else?" he asks again
"I think this is all for now, so how much?"
"On the house" Mingyu says with a smile, makes you wonder if he does this on a regular basis but you shake the thought away.
"What? No, come on I'll feel bad. Tell me how much" you tell Mingyu but he just shakes his head at you
"Free coffee for the pretty lady"
"Do you tell all your lady customers that?" you ask him, the words already out before you can stop yourself. You can feel your cheeks heat up but Mingyu just chuckles, again he shakes his head
"Just you, tell me next time how's our coffee and baked goods are then we'll call it even" he tells you, pointing at the suggestion box
"Are you sure? My workmates recommended this place and they said the coffee is good but I never really went with them" you tell him,
"You work close by?"
"A few blocks from here, I sometimes pass by here but it's always so busy. I guess I got lucky today"
All this time you were this close to where he was and he never knew. Mingyu mentally agrees with you, indeed it is a lucky day because for the first time since he met you you finally said more than one sentence to him.
17 year old Mingyu would be pouting and kicking his feet out of jealousy, he would never believe this day would come but here you are.
"Thank you for the coffee and food, uh see you around"
"You too, Y/N. It's nice to see you again" he smile again, you shoot him a small smile before going your way.
He watches you go out the door, the scene of you walking away hitting him like a Deja vu. A scene from 10 years go playing in head. Just as you were about to exit the door, to turn around to look at him behind the counter then shoot him another smile then you were gone.
This time though Mingyu wasn't left with a heart to mend but something to look forward to. Maybe just maybe this time it'll be his chance.
"You're down bad" Hoshi, his co-owner and other barista, says from beside him
"Huh?"
"Really?? Coffee for the pretty lady? so original" he laughs
"What? I never used that on anyone" Mingyu mumbles, "I know, that's why I said you're down bad. Who is she by the way?"
"Someone very special, call me when she comes back" he pats Hoshi on the shoulder before going to the back to resume his re-stocking duties.
Mingyu didn't want to expect (but he was), he would be lying if he didn't tell Hoshi he'd open tomorrow and man the register just in case you come in early again. He would be lying if he says he looked up every time the bell dings signaling another customer came in only it wasn't you.
It took you a few days before you visited again, and this time luck wasn't on Mingyu's side because he was not on duty.
"Hey, you're Mingyu's friend" Hoshi remembers you from the other day, greeting you with a big smile making his eyes almost disappear. He seems like a warm person, very friendly.
"Yeah, you can say that" you shyly answer him "Oh right sorry, what can I get you?"
"I'll get another iced vanilla latte. The last one you made was really good" you tell him
"Thanks, make sure to drop that inside our box" he jokes "Anything else?"
"Can you recommend any pastry for me to try? They all look so good"
"Honestly, not to be biased, everything's good here but that chocolate cake is extra special. Mingyu makes it himself everyday, want a slice?"
"Sure, sounds great"
Hoshi, you learn his name, goes and make your order like before then returns to the counter "Okay here you go, and the man says it's on the house"
"Huh?" you ask confused "Mingyu said it's on the house if ever you come back"
"Oh I can not not pay, he already said that the last time" you said, already getting your card out
"No really, he insists. And between us, I'd be in bigger trouble if I let you pay. If you want to scold him, feel free to do so and drop it in the box"
You chuckle, finally taking your drink and food "Thanks again, let me write something" you seat on a vacant chair to get a paper from inside your bag, writing a quick note before going back to the counter to drop it in the box. You say goodbye to Hoshi before going.
You feel your phone ring in your pocket, Dokyeom's name flashing on the screen "Barbeque later"
"Are you asking or are you telling me?"
"I'll come by after work" then he hangs up.
A few hours later, your bestfriend shows up with a few grocery bags and a loud mouth. You two catch up on what you missed on the few days you didn't get to talk, he likes staying up to date with your life even though nothing really ever happens. He's like the brother you never expected but you're now stuck with.
"Do you have any sweets here, chocolate or something" you hear him scrummaging through your kitchen
"I have a cake slice in the fridge"
Dokyeom finds it then walks back to the dining table, setting it in the middle to share between the two of you
"Oh gosh this is so good, where did you buy this?"
"At Mingyu's cafe, did you know he had one?" you ask back, Dokyeom's head springs up to look at you
"You went there? Mingyu did mention he had a cafe. So you two talked?"
"Yea he was there the first time I went, it was really nice the coffee is good. The other barista said Mingyu baked this" you tell him, taking another bite
"You know, you never told me why you rejected him"
Dokyeom suddenly mentioning that made you cough out loud, "You said you liked him right? Then all of a sudden you were telling me you rejected him"
"Are we really talking about this? It's been 10 years"
"Yea"
"Like I said, I didn't have the time and I got overwhelmed. Everyone knew who Mingyu was, I didn't want that kind of attention on me too. I guess 17 year old me got scared"
Dokyeom listens to you, watching you stab the piece of cake before taking a bite "For what it's worth, he really liked you back then. He even asked me what your favorites were, I said you liked cakes more than ice cream"
Back at the cafe, Mingyu comes in after Hoshi closes so he can start on baking tomorrow's batch of cake. He's in the kitchen getting the ingredients ready while Hoshi cleans the display case and front of the house.
He was humming to himself when he hears the kitchen door swing open, "Oh by the way Y/N dropped by today"
Mingyu forgets the number he was on, now he has to measure the flour all over again. He turns to look at his friend with an annoyed expression, Hoshi holds his hands in the air
"Hey don't blame me, not my fault she went here on your only day off. But I did say it's on the house courtesy of you, so you're welcome"
"Atleast you did something right" Mingyu says
"And she got the chocolate cake, she also dropped something in the box. Go check it when you're done, I'm going now" he waves goodbye before going to the office to do a few more things before leaving Mingyu alone at the shop.
He tries to focus first on what he's doing, going back to measuring the ingredients and putting it in the oven before going to the counter to get the box.
How will find your note here when there's about 30 others in here, he's not so sure. He reads through a few of them when finally he finds one
Coffee is great, maybe even better with company. On me next time I come back, thanks Gyu :)
He knows it's from you because of the nickname, a lot of people from highschool used to call him that. It may be common but it sounded extra special when you're the one calling him that. He takes the note and put it in his pocket before putting the others back.
Tonight's cake about to be extra good.
When Mingyu comes in the shop the next day he was expecting you to come, he wasn't going to lie about it this time.
It might seem silly but he never really got over his crush on you. There's something about you that he admired so much, even though people said you're the 'ice queen' with your stoic expression and one line answers he thinks you're just always straight to the point.
He never harbored hard feelings even after you rejected him, he understood your reasons. He knew you were focused on your studies but he just wanted to shoot his shot.
That day when he asked you, he already saw you in the gym before the game. He thought you were going to watch only for you to disappear a few minutes before they started, he chased after you with high hopes only to be handed his heart back in a few pieces. But even then he still liked you, he continued on admiring you from afar. Cheering you on your academic victories and cheering for you on your graduation day when you gave out your valedictorian speech.
He liked watching you achieve your goals, you always had that laser focus and determination. The entire class knew you deserved it.
Now a decade later, you're still the same in some ways. The night during the reunion party, he didn't expect to see you there. You didn't age a day, you still look so beautiful. You now carry this confident but reserved aura around you, he admits he was a bit intimidated to approach you so he thanks Dokyeom for being there.
The day passed by and still no sign of you, when he turns the open sign over to close he lets out the biggest sigh. Looking at the last slice of cake on the stand, ironically very similar to him. Waiting for you to come by.
He's busy mopping the floors to notice he didn't lock the front door, you just got out of work and decided to check if the cafe was still open. The sign said closed but you spot Mingyu inside so you try to knock on the glass door but he couldn't hear you so you let yourself in.
You walk closer to where he was before tapping him on the back making the tall man jump up in the air with mop in hand.
Mingyu turns around, holding his hand to his chest as he looks at you blinking back at him "Fuck you scared the shit out of me, sorry" he mumbles the apology after letting a few curses out
"Sorry, I didn't mean too. I knocked but you couldn't hear. Uhm is it a bad time?"
"No, I mean no it's good. I was just cleaning up. Do you want anything?" he asks you, putting the mop in the bucket before walking towards the counter with you following. He stands by the cashier while you stand on the other side
You spot the last piece of cake like it's calling your name, Mingyu following your gaze. Smiling to himself while he waits for your order.
"I'll get the last piece of chocolate cake, please. Hoshi recommended it yesterday and it was really food. Glad I got the last one" you smile
Little did you know he made that recipe with you in mind. He knew you liked chocolate cakes. "Chocolate cake coming up, anything else? Our cookies are good too, let me get some for you"
"As long as you let me pay for it"
"Not a chance, miss" Mingyu smirks, putting the remaining cookies in a box along with the cake before walking back to face you
"Not this again, you already got it for me the last few times I was here. How will you run a business if you keep on giving it out for free"
"I don't always do it" Mingyu shrugs
"Just let me pay please" you say giving him your card but he just pushes it back
"No"
"Mingyu"
He smiles, looking over at you. For a second you were taken back by his stare. The only way you can describe it was sweet, he looked so sweet like the cake he baked. He looked so soft and gentle like he wouldn't break a heart.
"Come back next time, I'll let you pay"
"You said that the last time"
"Then keep coming back, maybe one day I'll let you" he confidently tells you, the underlying message of wanting to see you again lies in the air. He holds his breath waiting for your next words,
"If you don't let me pay the next time, I won't come back" you threaten him cutely, finally taking the bag from him. Mingyu smiles walking to the other side to walk you out.
Before you reach the door you stop, "Actually, there's something I need to tell you" you turn to look up at him
"Go ahead, I'm listening"
You take a few seconds, again surprised with how he's staring right at you. Like he's seeing all of you.
"I would like to apologize for what happened before, you know the whole rejection thing. I know it's a bit overdue, actually it's very overdue but I've always wanted to say sorry. Someone asked me if I was in a room full of all the people I liked, who would I run to I said you. That's because I wanted to say sorry... so yea. I'm sorry" you mumble, now you're looking at his chest. Too shy to look at him
"You like me?" Mingyu mumbles
This make you look at him again, "That's all you heard?"
"I mean I appreciate the thought, apology accepted. Now back to my question.. I heard that right, right?"
"You're not wrong"
You and your one liner answers.
"So how many are there in the room" he asks, now he's teasing you. You can't help but scowl at him, rolling your eyes.
"It's a very short list and you're missing my point"
"No I get it, and no need to apologize. I respect your decision back then and I still do now. No need to say sorry over that, no hard feelings" he smiles at you.
Mingyu wanted to reach out and hold your hand but he stops himself. He didn't want to mess this again with you, if this is finally his second chance then he's not going to do anything to mess it up.
"I really am, it's been 10 years but I just wanted to tell you that. So yea.. that's uh that's all"
"Can I ask something?"
"What?" you ask back "Who else would be in the room with me, do I know the others"
"Oh my gosh! It's a very short list"
He laughs at your answer, reaching up to tuck the loose hair than fell on your face behind your ear.
"I believe you, tell me about it next time you get coffee"
"Seriously making me rethink about coming back here" you pout, this made Mingyu's heart pound like crazy. A hundred shots of espresso got nothing on you. Only you can make him feel this way, so alive.
"I'll bake you a cake" he bargains
"Chocolate?"
"All yours, on the house"

Aggressive Caregiver ~ Tsu'tey x Reader
Warnings: Jake being an idiot at times, mentions of broken bones, Tsu'tey being a softie, pretty much just fluff and stuff
Synopsis: After an incident where you get hurt, Tsu'tey agrees to take care of you while you recover.
Masterlist
"Jake, I don't think this is a good idea." In retrospect, it was a fucking stupid idea. But I couldn't just flat out say that to my brother in front of Neytiri, who he was trying to impress. I wasn't trying to get in the way of what he was trying to do, but I also didn't want to have to explain to the healers why he would be returning to the clan with multiple broken bones.
Jake had somehow gotten it in his head that he could mount his ikran in midair if he called for it before jumping. He told me about the idea just moments before Neytiri had come over to us to hear what he was talking about. Jake had just pulled us along in order to prove what I knew was going to be a complete disaster without even telling Neytiri a word of the plan. I wasn't even given a chance to attempt to talk him out of it before he was already climbing.
Jake was about halfway up the tree when he finally walked out onto one of its branches. He looked down towards the both of us before he finally said, "Come on. Everything will be fine as long as it works out. Besides, what is the worst that could happen (Y/n)?"
"I would like to remind you that nothing good ever follows that statement whenever you say it. Now please just come back down here before its too late." When that statement left my mouth, Neytiri's ears had perked up slightly. While she may not know what he had planned, she certainly didn't want anything bad to Jake. Especially after all the time and effort it took to train him.
As she was about to say something, a voice sounded close behind us, "What is the skxawng doing this time?" We both turned to find Tsu'tey walking over to us while he had his eyes on Jake, who was about 100 feet in the air. There was an unamused look on his face as he stopped not too far from where me and Neytiri were standing.
Jake looked down and smiled at the new arrival. "Tsu'tey, you are just in time! I was just about to show the ladies here something I thought of. I'm glad that you will get to witness this as well."
"Jake Sully, don't you dare move off of that branch unless you want to get yourself killed!" I immediately yelled at him. I was throughly unimpressed with the fact that not only was Neytiri having to bear witness to this idiotic display, but Tsu'tey also had gotten roped into it as well. I huffed while glaring up at my brother, wondering how I would finally convince him to come down without much of a fight.
Tsu'tey looked over to me before he spoke once again. "You did not come to training so you could convince your brother to not get himself killed? That is your excuse for why you didn't show today? I was pulled away from my duties to teach you our ways and this is how my time is repaid?"
Looking over toward the man, I glared over at him like how I did with Jake. Using a slightly rude tone, I retaliated with, "You make it seem like I enjoy having to be one that makes sure that he stays alive. Do you know exactly how many ideas I had to talk him out of in order for him to survive this far in life? Way too fucking many. And this might actually be one of the worse ideas that has come to Jake's mind." Looking back up towards Jake, I yelled out, "Now get down from there this instance!"
Jake leaned over the branch slightly, smirking down at us. Holding his hands up in surrender, he hollered down, "Alright, you win little sister. I'll come down, but on one condition. You have to come up here and lead me back down yourself. Otherwise, this is still happening. You have 20 seconds to make up your mind. Time starts now."
I rolled my eyes at his childish behavior. Of course he would still have me be involved even though he was backing down. I dug my foot into the dirt while glaring at the ground.
"15 seconds left! What's it going to be (Y/n)?"
Neytiri placed her hand on my shoulder. I looked at her, seeing the concerned expression that was on her face. Neytiri looked directly into my eyes while she quietly said, "Maybe you should just go up and get him. Keep him from hurting himself."
"Ten! Nine! Eig-"
"Alright! I'm coming! Just stop counting." I reluctantly made my way over to the tree before starting to climb upwards. I continued climbing, mumbling under my breath the whole time. Soon, I had made it to the branch that Jake was currently standing in the middle of. I remained close to the trunk as I glared over at Jake. "Alright, I climbed up to get you. Now get your ass on the ground."
Jake smiled while walking a little further down the branch. Shrugging his shoulders, Jake looked downwards while saying, "I said you had to lead me down. Means you have to come out here and get me."
I remained in my position, refusing to move an inch. I could tell that the branch was slightly unstable, moving gently with each move that Jake made. I looked Jake in the eyes as I said, "I am not getting on this branch. Now come down before one of us get hurt."
Jake smiled towards the sky as he continued to speak, "You know, maybe if I called my ikran now, then-"
Before he could finish the sentence, I was already at his side. He had managed to walk out over halfway towards the end of branch. I carefully pushed Jake in front of me in order to lead him so we could return to the ground.
Jake laughed as I continued to push him. He looked over his shoulder with a smile, "See? Nothing bad happe-"
As soon as those words left his mouth, the branch gave way. We fell towards the ground, leaves and vines occasionally slowing the fall. When we finally hit the ground, I landed first directly on my back with my arms spread out from the impact. Jake came down soon after, landing directly beside me. Which also means he landed on my arm, causing me to scream out at the same time that I heard a sickening crack follow soon after his drop.
Neytiri and Tsu'tey were quick to come over to us once we hit the ground. I could only cry as they helped pick Jake off of me, the pain in my arm almost becoming unbearable. I knew it was definitely broken, but I had no idea how bad it was. All that I could seem to do was curl up onto my side while trying to keep my arm as still as possible.
Jake was by my side soon after he had regained awareness of his surroundings. His hands came up to my face, wiping away as many tears as he could while I cried. Neytiri was behind me, rubbing my back while trying to calm me down. Her efforts soon became fruitless as she rubbed over a certain area which then caused me to let out a small scream from the sensation. Clearly, I hurt a portion of my back as well without my knowledge.
Neytiri quickly removed her hand while looking over at the two men that were gathered around my sobbing figure. With a gentle voice, she said, "We must take her back to my mother. She will know how to properly help (Y/n)."
"Alright. Come on sis, I got you." As Jake had reached out for me, I started smacking him with my one good arm.
I glared at him through my tears as I yelled, "Don't touch me, you ass! I should have just let you break your neck trying to do your stupid trick!"
Jake just pulled away, trying not to get hit anymore while I was laying on the ground. Neytiri stepped over to Jake before looking over at Tsu'tey. "Tsu'tey, you take (Y/n) back while I help Jake."
"Neytiri, I don't need any help."
"Ma'Jake, your ankle is swelling. You won't be able to walk by yourself." After Neytiri had said that, I looked towards Jake's feet to realize that his right ankle was slightly bigger with a somewhat dark shade of purple covering it. I slightly grimaced at the sight, but knew it was probably only just a slight sprain that he had.
Before much else could be said, Tsu'tey had picked me up as gently as he could. He moved my good arm around his neck so he could pick me up. He used one arm to hold me up beneath my legs while he used the other to wrap around the middle of my back. As I wrapped my legs around him, I moved my head to rest against his shoulder as I tried to take some deep breaths in order to calm myself down. After he made sure that my broken arm settled in between our torsos, Tsu'tey started to head back in the direction of the village.
Everything was quite for a few minutes before Tsu'tey finally spoke up. "You should not have walked onto the branch."
Even though I wasn't looking at his face, I could practically feel the look of disapproval from his tone alone. My ears dropped slightly as I let out a small, "I know."
I could feel the huff that left him as I spoke. I knew he was upset from the fact that both Jake and I got hurt. Him and Jake had become friends soon after the war had ended. Though, we had a bit of a weird relationship. We were friends, but it almost felt like a bit more than a standard friendship. We always seemed to spend a bit more time with each other, normally by hunting together or going on a flight with our ikrans. Sometimes he would even joke around with me when it was just the two of us. Though sometimes I did wish it would be something more than just friends, I was ok with the relationship that I had with Tsu'tey. As long as he was apart of my life, I would be happy either way.
I let out a shaky breath as I mumbled, "It really hurts, Tsu'tey."
He carefully rubbed my side as he quietly said, "I know. We are almost to the village. Mo'at will look over you and then you will be fine. Just a few more minutes."
It was silent for a bit before I decided to speak up. "Tsu'tey, could you put me down? I think I can walk the rest of the way."
"Absolutely not." He immediately shot down my request. In fact, he tightened his hold on me slightly in order to emphasize his point.
I let out a small whine before saying, "Tsu'tey, people will see. The clan already talks enough, I don't want to give anyone another reason to start assuming anything."
I could feel the scoff that leaves him as soon as the statement left my mouth. "It does not matter what they say. You need me right now, so I will be here." I could tell from his tone that I had absolutely no room to argue with him.
Once we entered the village, I avoided the gaze of anyone that we passed. I could hear people whispering to one another as Tsu'tey continued to make his way towards the healing huts. It didn't take long for us to finally get there as Tsu'tey had pushed past almost anyone in the way of our destination.
Once Tsu'tey had walked through the door, Mo'at had turned towards us. She stood while motioning for me to be sat on of the beds that was in the center. Carefully, Tsu'tey had placed me down while helping me sit up as Mo'at started to grab supplies from one of the shelves.
"What happened to her?" While her tone was slightly harsh, when I looked at her, Mo'at's gaze was soft as she started to inspect over my body carefully.
Tsu'tey spoke softly as he started to explain everything that had happened. He pointed out the part of my back that had cause me so much discomfort earlier. Mo'at gently ran her fingers over the spot causing me to flinch away with a soft whine. Mo'at made a noise of disapproval as she started to apply some ointment to the area. With some help from Tsu'tey, she wrapped some bandages around my torso before she moved to inspect my arm. I whined as she moved my arm to get a better understanding of the extent of my injury. I took a few deep breaths as Mo'at started to apply more ointment on my arm before she put more wrapping on my arm. Once she was done, she brought a small bowl with a strange liquid in it towards me. I was about to take it with my uninjured hand when Tsu'tey grabbed the bowl from Mo'at. He brought it towards my lips and helped me drink from it. I grimaced at the taste before coughing slightly from the sting of the medicine going down my throat.
After my coughing fit was done, Jake and Neytiri had made their way into the tent. Jake looked down at me, taking notice of the bandages covering part of my body. Neytiri helped sit him down before getting more supplies in order to help Jake.
He looked over to Mo'at as he asked, "How bad is it? Is she going to be alright?"
Mo'at had finished looking me over for any more injuries that I may have gotten. Once she was done, she moved over to Jake to start checking on him. "She will not be able to move her arm without pain for a while. She will also need to rest in order for her back to properly heal. Meaning that you will need to stay with someone while you are healing (Y/n)."
"She can stay with us. It's the least that I can do after all." I glared at Jake as soon as he opened his mouth. He shrunk back slightly from the intensity of my gaze, an apologetic look crossing his face.
Neytiri went over to Jake's side as she started to treat some of the scratches that littered his body. As she applied the paste she had onto his body, she softly said, "Ma'Jake, you won't be able to walk on your own for a few days. I will have my hands full with you as is."
"Besides, if I stay with you right now, I will kill you while you sleep." I continued to glare at him while I spoke. Jake let out a shaky laugh which turned into a whine when Mo'at grabbed at his ankle.
Tsu'tey spoke up from beside me as he watched the interaction. "I will look after her while she recovers." He placed his hand on my shoulder in an act of comfort. My face started to heat up, though I chose to believe it was the medicine finally taking effect. He looked over at me as he continued, "Only if you are comfortable with it. You do not have to if you wish to stay with someone else."
I looked back towards Tsu'tey, who was staring at me with a soft expression on his face. I gave him a soft smile before I made up my mind. "I would really appreciate it, Tsu'tey. Thank you."
He smiled at my words as he moved so his back was facing me. My blush started to deepen as I began to realize that he wanted me to climb on so he could carry me. I hesitated at first, but finally accepted after acknowledged that he wouldn't let me leave the healing tent any other way.
Once Tsu'tey had his arms secured underneath my legs, he stood up and started to leave. I placed my head on his shoulder as I let out a small sigh. I could feel the people staring once we walked out of the tent. They all must be curious as to why the clan's best warrior was carrying me in a way that would appear so intimate for him. Tsu'tey seemed unfazed by the stares as he continued the walk to his hut.
When we finally go to the tree where Tsu'tey's hut was in, I heard him quietly say, "Hold on tight." Once I secured my hold on him, Tsu'tey immediately began climbing up the tree. He moved so quickly up the tree, it seemed as if I didn't weigh anything to him. It didn't take long for us to get to his hut. When we entered, he started heading straight to his hammock. Tsu'tey helped me get into it with minimal incident.
I tried sitting up so I wasn't laying down just yet, but he pushed me down gently by my shoulders. I tried pushing against his efforts, but he stayed firm on his decision for me to rest to what he deemed the best way. To show how serious he was, Tsu'tey gave a small hiss before I finally gave up on fighting him. Once he was certain I wasn't going to get back up, Tsu'tey moved his hand away slowly. He started walking to what seemed to resemble a kitchen. At least that's what it seemed like from where I laying down. He was moving around swiftly, grabbing things as he went. I watched him for a little bit before I turned my attention to things that were closer to me.
It was the first time that I had been over to his home, but it didn't quite seem like it was completely him. There were more plants around than I would expect him to be interested in having. Small groups of flowers had wrapped themselves around some of the branches that were overhead. I smiled at the homely feeling that was emitting from the little details that were littered all over. I turned to my side to look around a little better when I took notice of something that was close by. I strained my eyes to see what exactly was on the ground. Once I figured out what it was Tsu'tey had finally made his way back to me. He used one hand to roll me onto my back once again, then shoved a bowl of fruit into my hand with the other. He started mumbling something about me 'not listening' while he was gone. I just smiled looking up at him.
"Hey Tsu'tey, did you make a necklace over there? It looks really nice." His face paled as he went over to where the piece of jewelry was placed. Tsu'tey picked it up before hastily putting it away where I wouldn't be able to see it. I let out a small laugh from the change in his behavior. "Come on Tsu'tey. I wanna see what it looks like."
He turned back towards me with a slightly conflicted look on his face. "You should not have seen it. It is not how things are supposed to work when it comes to the matter."
"What do you mean? It's just a..." It took a minute for me to fully understand what he meant by that statement. A look of understanding crossed my face when I barely whispered, "It's a courting gift." He looked at the ground, his ears pinned against his head in what seemed like shame. I sent him a gentle smile before saying "Tsu'tey, I'm sorry. I didn't know that you were interested in anyone like that. Why didn't you say anything?"
Tsu'tey looked back at me as he slowly made his way back to the hammock. He refused to make eye contact as he tired to find the right words to explain. "It is complicated, (Y/n). It does not feel right talking of this with anyone when it comes to the matter."
I could tell that he felt awkward about the current topic. I brought the bowl he had given me towards him as a form of comfort. He hesitantly took a piece, fiddling with it instead of eating it. I looked back up at the flowers that decorated the branches above us. Sighing mostly to myself, I decided I was going to try and lighten the mood.
"Can I give you some advice about this whole thing?" He gave a small huff, but didn't stop me from continuing what I was about to tell him. "I think I have an idea who it could possibly be that you might be courting. And I have to say just this." I looked back towards him to notice that Tsu'tey's body was completely tense. I tried hold back my smile as I continued, "I know Jake is a great guy, but you could do so much better than my brother. I mean, Jake is an idiot and he alw-"
Tsu'tey tossed the fruit he had in his hand at my face. He let out a short hiss, but he had a playful smile on his face. I gasped before grabbing a piece of fruit and tossed it at him in retaliation. Tsu'tey was able to dodge it, but he pretended to be as if he had actually be struck. I began laughing at the face he made, causing him to join in soon after.
The next few minutes were just of us laughing at practically nothing. When we finally calmed down, I looked back at him with a serious expression. "In all honesty though, any woman that you choose to have as your mate will be lucky to have you. You deserve to be happy Tsu'tey. Everyone will stand by you with whatever decision that you make."
He smiled at my words of encouragement, clearly feeling slightly better after hearing them. He looked around his home as he began to talk again. "I am grateful that you feel that way. I have been trying to make this place feel more welcoming for her. Though, the plan I had for the courting process doesn't seem to be going the way I had hoped."
Confusion crossed my face as I decided to inquire, "Really? What went wrong? Is she making you work to get her attention?"
"Actually, she fell out of a tree and ruined the plan of having her to meet me later tonight."
I was left speechless from his sudden confession. Sure, I knew Tsu'tey saw me as a good friend, but I didn't think that he thought of me the same way I did him. Though, I must have been silent for to long, because he started to stand with his ears pinned back.
"I'm sorry, (Y/n). I thought you felt the same way. I will leave you be for now."
Before he was able to walk away, I grabbed ahold of his wrist. He looked down in shock, not expecting me to touch him. I gave him a loving smile as I whispered, "I wanna see it." He looked confused, clearly not understanding what I meant. I moved my hand down to hold his as I spoke again. "I wanna see my necklace if I'm going to say yes to your proposal."
His ears perked up as soon as I finished talking. I slowly let go of his hand when he moved to retrieve the necklace from its recent hiding spot. Tsu'tey had the biggest grin on his face as he walked back towards me. He held it out for me to see the details, clearly proud of his work. I was awestruck by the detail of it. He had used blue and green beads decorated almost the entirety of the necklace. In the center was the dulled down tip of an arrow. I smiled when I realized that it was from one of the arrows that Tsu'tey had replaced not to long ago.
I sat up slightly as I ran my fingers across it softly. I looked back up at Tsu'tey before asking, "Can you help me put it on?"
Tsu'tey leaned over to secure the necklace on me. Once he made sure it wouldn't fall off, he placed my chin between his fingers to tilt my head. He let out a hum of approval as he admired how it hugged my neck. He had a prideful smile on his face as he barely whispered, "Look at you. So beautiful."
A blush started to form across my face as I looked away in embarrassment. Tsu'tey caressed my cheek before he leaned down to place a kiss on my cheek. I giggled as he continued to leave kisses all over my face. He continued for a few moments before leaning in and placed a kiss softly on my lips. I leaned in to deepen the kiss slightly.
I reluctantly pulled away, taking a deep breath. I rested my forehead against his, closing my eyes at the domestic moment we were having. We lasted like that for a few minutes, just basking in each other's presence. I sighed before letting out a mumbled, "Can we cuddle, please?"
Tsu'tey chuckled at my request, but helped me move around so he could lay down with me. When he finally got situated, I snuggled into his side. He was careful as he pulled me to be laying down on top of him, his tail wrapping itself around my thigh in the process. I nuzzled into his neck as I began to let out quiet purrs. Tsu'tey began to draw small patterns on the uninjured part of my back as he continued to chuckle to himself.
We stayed like that for a while until he finally broke the silence. "There is one thing that I have been wondering." I gave a soft hum as I waited for him to continue. "Why was your brother in that tree to begin with?"
I held back a giggle as I said, "It's kind of a long story. I don't know if you even want to hear it."
I felt his laugh vibrate throughout his chest at my answer. "(Y/n), you aren't going to be able to move around that much for the next few days. I'm willing to listen to anything you have to tell me. So tell me what Jake was trying to accomplish from halfway up that tree."

Five years, five years yourself and Jessie had been together you thought to yourself as you fixed your hair in the hallway mirror waiting for Jessie to appear from your room. You heard a small cough and turned to see a suited up Jessie stood in the door way. Your breath caught in your throat at the sight of her, five years and she still flawed you every time you saw her.
Jessie was wearing black pants, a matching long sleeve shirt that was unbuttoned down to the middle of her chest paired with some white air forces. Her hair was slicked back and she had the biggest grin on her face as she took you all in.
"Are you sure you're still hungry enough to go out?" You laughed turning back towards your own reflection
"Mhmm, why?" Jessie looked at you puzzled
"Because you practically just ate me with your eyes Jess!" You smirk at her through the mirror
"Can you blame me, you look gorgeous tonight babe"
"I could say the same about you but it wouldn't do how good you look justice"
After a few minutes of you both just staring at each other Jessie made a move to get the car keys from the bowl by the door. Making her way to the car she opened the door for you, like she still did after all these years having never once let you open it for yourself.
You got in and drove in relatively comfortable silence, occasionally one of you would steal a glance at the other a few times making eye contact and quickly looking away. You felt like a giddy school girl with a crush on the cutest girl in class.
Once you got to the restaurant you were seated in the usual dimly lit booth in the corner, the same table you sat at the last five years you had been here. It had become tradition that you'd repeat your first date every year sitting at the exact same table, ordering the exact same drinks and the exact same food.
Before long though you found yourself unable to concentrate on the conversation that Jessie was having with you.
"So do you want to go?" Jessie asked picking your hand up from the table
"Huh?"
"I said would you want to go?"
"Go where?" You questioned your eyebrows furrowed together.
"Y/n were you not listening to me? I said it's Niamh's 25th soon and she asked if I'd fly back to London for her party with you. Would you want to go?"
"Oh sorry.. yeah I'd like that" you said after thinking for a second, it wasn't a difficult choice a trip back to England to see one of your good friends with the love of your life. It was practically a no brainer.
Yet within seconds you were distracted again
"Baby what's wrong? You've hardly listened to a word I've said" Jessie stoked her thumb along the back of your hand concerned.
"Nothing Jess"
"It's definitely not nothing, you've been zoning out all evening"
"You're right, I'm so sorry I know tonight is supposed to be special but I just can't help but picture that outfit on our bedroom floor Jessie and it's doing things to me"
Jessie giggled as you kicked her leg under the table
"It's not funny" you whined
"It is too, but you'll have to wait. Let's get through dinner and then we can head home?"
"I'll try" is all you could mutter
A few minutes later and you were trying so hard to keep conversation with Jessie without your thoughts wondering when you felt Jessie's foot grazing along the inside of your thigh under the table.
"Jess don't"
"Don't what baby? I'm not sure I know what you're talking about"
Which earned her a glare from you, that didn't stop the way her foot which was now shoeless making its way up and down your thigh.
Slowly getting closer to where you wanted her most and the inner turmoil you were having debating between grabbing her foot and stopping her or rocking yourself into her was causing sweat to bead along your forehead.
"You've got five seconds to stop before I pull you into that bathroom Jessie" you warned her
"Well you better get ready because I'm not stopping" Jessie tried to call your bluff.
Within seconds you were grabbing her hand and dragging her down the hallway to the bathroom, shoving her into a stall and locking the door behind you.
Your lips found hers in a passionate kiss before she'd even had chance to fully back into the cubicle, cupping her face and tangling your free hand in the curls on the back of her neck you trapped her body against the wall with your own. Deepening the kiss by swiping your tongue against her lower lip begging for entry.
Jessie moaned into your mouth allowing your tongue to slip in and roam around tasting the beer she had been drinking, her legs subconsciously spread and your knee found the place she needed you most.
You tugged lightly at the nape of her neck causing her to groan as her hips lifted looking for the pressure she so badly needed.
You pulled away slightly, lips puffy and red as you looked into her eyes
"You're so fucking gorgeous Jess, you don't understand how bad I need you"
Before Jessie could respond you found the button on her pants looking back up at her and receiving a nod you undone the button your fingers finding their way into her soaked underwear.
"Fuck Jess"
"Shut up y/n/n, it's your fau.." Jessie tried to blame you
but instead of you being the one to shut up it was Jessie as soon as your fingers glided across her slick finding her bundle of nerves. You applied some light pressure earning some whimpers and mumbles from the girl you had in front of you.
You kissed her again swallowing her moans as one hand continued to scratch at the back of her neck the other tracing her folds before slipping a singular digit into her wet heat. Jessie tilted her head back and gave you that look.
Which you knew meant only one thing, she needed more. It didn't take much encouragement before you added a second finger and then a third pumping rhythmically into Jessie as she bit down on your lip grunting as you curled into her.
That's when you heard muffled voices coming towards the bathroom door and stepping inside. The air in the cubicle was stifling and you attempted to move earning a small moan from Jessie. To which you quickly removed your fingers from inside of her to cover her mouth, at the sudden movement your knee brushed against her core causing your fingers to push more tightly against her lips.
After what felt like an eternity you heard footsteps leave the bathroom and you looked back at a panting Jessie who stared back at you, eyes dilated as she opened her mouth and gently took the fingers still covering her into her mouth sucking off her own arousal.
She hummed and hollowed her cheeks as she sucked and swirled her tongue around your digits before releasing them with a pop. A sudden rush of wetness surging to your aching core.
You grabbed Jessie and kissed her almost intoxicating yourself from the taste of herself on her lips. Groaning your fingers found their way back into Jessie's waistband taking mere seconds to find exactly what you were looking for again.
Jessie's pussy swallowed your fingers with ease as you used your hips for leverage and slowly rocked into her. Jessie slammed her head back against the wall riding your fingers as you thrust harder into her your free hand gently squeezing the base of her neck.
Your lips finding their way to where her jaw meets her neck. Gently sucking and soothing the same spot with your tongue, you squeeze a little harder and thrust your fingers deeper than before.
Jessie struggling to keep on her own two feet as you used your own body to pin her up, legs weak you were keeping her from falling to her knees.
After establishing her as your own with the bright red marks along Jessie's neck which would definitely land you in the bad books tomorrow morning when she had to go to training looking like she had been attacked by a vampire. You released her neck after one extra squeeze and whispered in her ear "I'm going to fuck out every last orgasm you have in you tonight"
Jessie closed her eyes and whimpered
"I'm going to make sure everyone knows you're my good girl Jessie, you'll be screaming my name by the end of the night because that's the only word you'll remember" you husked into Jessie's ear your breath gently tickling her skin goosebumps decorating her body.
"Fuck y/n I'm going to cum"
"Not yet baby" you say with a smirk your fingers speeding up.
"Please, I can't hold back much longer y/n/n I need to cum" she looks at you pleading.
Just as her legs start shaking you remove your fingers shoving them into your own mouth and groaning at the taste eyes rolling back.
"Get yourself dressed we are going" you demanded
You walked back to your table and paid for you meal waiting for Jessie to return after freshening herself up.
As soon as you got back home you had Jessie up on the kitchen counter stood between her legs. Lifting her shirt over head and removing her bra before doing the same to yourself. All items of clothing discarded recklessly on the floor.
Your hands came to Jessie's waste slowly stroking up and down before meeting her waste band for the second time that night. Again you looked at her and she nodded. You removed them along with her panties leaving them strewn on the floor with your other garments.
Once naked on the counter in front of you, your eyes raked over her perfect body taking in every curve and every freckle until your eyes became glued to her glistening core. You licked your lips subconsciously which earned a giggle from Jessie.
Which was unwise on her part because you dropped to your knees and grabbed her hips scooting her to the edge before diving into her. Licking broad stripes across her centre to her hooded clit circling it before adventuring back across her folds and dipping into her clenching hole. Tasting her nectar right from the source.
"Fuck" you mumble into her, which earns a smirk from Jessie.
"You taste so fucking good baby, my perfect girl"
Jessie's hips arched off of the counter and bucked into your mouth. Your arm resting over her hips subtly pushing her back down onto the counter.
It wasn't long before you felt her excitement dripping down your chin, you smiled into her as your fingers rubbed loose circles around her clit.
Her hands finding their way into your hair tugging gently at every slight jolt of electricity you sparked inside her.
You worked Jessie back up close to her peak just like before and it didn't take long for her to start begging.
"Please let me cum this time, please baby, I'll do anything for you I just need to cum on that pretty tongue"
You knew this time you couldn't deny her request and were relentless, lips attaching to her clit sucking rhythmically as your fingers entered her once again. Curling deep inside her hitting the spot that made her legs shake.
Within seconds Jessie's hips began stuttering following your mouth and fingers. Head snapping back and white heat filling from the depths of her stomach before flickering across the back of her eyelids. Wet heat gushing from her as you lapped at her. Her toes curling shuddering as she came down.
You gently picked her up from the counter carrying her to your bed placing her down against the pillows. It didn't take long before Jessie got her breath back and recovered from her mind blowing orgasm.
"Take your pants off"
Jessie gave you a look that you knew you were not to mess with and did as you were told
"That's a good girl"
You smiled at her abashedly
"Come here" she motioned to you as she laid back against the pillows. You looked at her confused when it clicked. You kneeled on the bed kissing your way up her body, across her navel and the swell of her breasts along the marks you'd made at the restaurant before placing a quick peck on her lips.
You straddled her chest and her hands guided your hips so you were hovering above her face. Jessie gently lowered you down on to her lips.
Her pretty pink tongue poking out slightly to flick along your clit, you were absolutely soaked at this point. Feeling yourself drip down her tongue your face flushed red with embarrassment.
"You're so hot like this" Jessie praised into your centre, spurring you on.
You ground down harder on Jessie's face as her tongue lapped around your entrance sliding into you as she gripped your hips rocking you back and forth.
Her nose gently bumping against your bud of nerves making you feel so alive like your skin was on fire.
Your head thrown back in pleasure as her fingernails dug into your thighs, the only thing you could focus on was the immense desire that you felt.
"That's my baby, ridding my face like a good girl" Jessie groaned out as your hips fell out of rhythm.
You were embarrassed but her actions and words soon had you cumming down Jessie's throat. You squeezed her hand still entwined with yours before falling next to her on the bed.
Your head rested against her chest as you gently traced shapes along the valley of her breasts. You were deep in thought before Jessie looked down at you.
"Can I fuck you with the strap?"
Your pussy stirred at her words and you nodded your head eagerly.
Jessie jumped up grabbing your strap from the draw, placing it around her hips and securing it making her way back over to you, the mattress sinking under her weight.
You sat perched up on your elbows watching as she got closer.
She kissed you gently pushing you back before mindlessly playing with your throbbing pussy. After awhile of tasting you she brought her hand up to her mouth spitting on her fingers before returning to your opening.
Jessie slowly enter her fingers scissoring them stretching you open, getting you ready. It was then she began stroking the tip of her strap where you needed her. Jessie kissed you gently lacing your fingers together as she pushed in slowly.
With each inch Jessie studied your face to see if there was any discomfort before she bottomed out in you her hips flush with yours. The end of the strap bumping against her own clit.
You squeezed her hand showing her you needed a minute before you allowed her to continue.
Jessie was gentle with you as if you were made of glass. When she was content that you were ready to begin again she slowly slid in and out of you before you groaned in frustration.
"Please Jess, I need more"
With that Jessie's hips snapped into action and she pulled out almost all the way before slamming back inside of you, earning an ear piercing moan that your neighbours definitely heard.
This was all Jessie needed to hear before she flipped you onto your front grabbing your hips and fucking you senseless. Grabbing your hair she pulled you up so you were on all fours your back arched as she ravaged you.
Pulling harder your back pressed flush against her front as she rutted into you over and over again until your vision became blurry.
One of her hands momentarily leaving your waist before a loud crack rang out around the room as her hand landed on your ass.
Satisfied with your reaction she repeated the movement on the other side until your other cheek had an identical hand print.
Listening to you moan and pant mixed with the pleasure the end of the strap gave her made her legs burn, biting your shoulder, closing her eyes and gently urging herself to continue. Her hips smashed into yours with precision, the wet sound of you taking her deeper filling your ears along with how breathy she was.
"I'm so fucking close Jess"
"Fuck"
"Please don't stop"
"Oh godddd Jesss"
You could stop whining as she claimed you.
Flipping you over onto your back again Jessie hunched over you sucking down on your left peak catching the other between her forefinger and thumb tweaking it before releasing your breast with a pop. Bringing you ever closer to the edge before swapping and paying the same attention to your now stiffening right peak.
The cold air meeting the saliva left on your nipples sending a spark between your legs.
"I want to see your face as you cum"
Jessie leaned down capturing your lips, pounding into you as your nails scratched down her back drawing blood and you screamed out. Jessie watched as she ripped another orgasm from deep inside of you. Eyes rolling back mouth hanging open as an ungodly amount of curses spilled from your mouth.
Jessie continued pounding into you as she chased her own orgasm, causing you to become oversensitive. Breathless you couldn't express yourself to Jessie as she too found paradise and fell against you pushing deep inside. As you came down you begged Jessie not to move so that you could regain the feelings in your legs and not become even more sensitive.
After sometime Jessie asked if she could remove herself and you allowed her to. Apologising she threw the strap to the floor before kissing your temple and curling into your side.
Jessie stroked your warm and sweat damp skin as you regained your breath, slowly your panting stopped and you began to reach your regular heart rate.
After a few minutes Jessie removed herself much to your protest.
"Where are you going?"
"I'll be back shortly, just one second"
"One"
"That's more than a second!"
Jessie came back in with a warm wash cloth and washed you gently between the legs before handing you a bottle of water.
"And you said you'd rip every orgasm from me but here we are" Jessie shrugged
Void of much energy you just rolled your eyes at her.
"You want me to go make a snack?" She asked sweetly as if she hadn't just fucked you into another world.
"I'm good but I could do with a shower" you counter
Within seconds she'd swept you off your feet and had you in the shower.
Her hands gently massaging your scalp with your favourite coconut shampoo, nails digging in and your eyes closing with pleasure. Although different from the sexual pleasure moments ago the new action made your heart swell with so much love.
She then lathered your body in soap, running her hands along your curves, the soft flesh of your inner thigh and to the valley of your breasts where you now saw purple bruises forming from the way Jessie had gone to town on them not to long ago.
Once fully lathered and clean she began to rinse the suds from your body, kissing each part as it became clean, first your shoulders, your stomach, your arms, down your legs before a quick kiss to your bikini line and a peck on your lips.
"What did I do to deserve you?" You ask her
"The real question is what did I do to deserve you?" She retorts
After you got out of the shower Jessie dried you off bringing you back into the bedroom handing you a pair of her Canada shorts and her UCLA hoodie before she tucked you in bed grabbing you some hot coco.
Slipping into the bed with you after cleaning up your clothes from the floor and you had finished off your mug of liquid heaven (that was unfortunately not Jessie's) you placed the empty vessel on your nightstand
Turning back over you snuggled into Jessie's side as she read her book, stroking your hair tearing eyes away from her book to smile down at you before reading again.
"What are you reading? Do you think you could read it to me?" You ask her
"It's just a book about photography and how to take the best shot" Jessie tells you
"Sooo I just love listening to you"
"Baby you won't like it"
"I like anything if it's your voice reading it" which was the truth, you found her voice soothing.
She was never one to deny you so you lay there listening to Jessie's soft voice talk to you about aperture and the importance of picking the correct lenses and the rhythmic beat of her heart as you slowly doze off on her.
The last thought you had 'five years down, forever to go'

ৎ⸝⸝⠀DETECTIVE AND MURDERER IN HELL . —
#pairing : alastor x gn reader. #cw : may include adult content. enemies to lovers trope. #summary : you were a detective when you were a human! but uh oh, you died.. and you meet the target that you were on to before your death? #note : I feel bad for not posting for so long, here's a little sneak peek at what I'm working on! i received this prompt from an anon in my inbox and do i love it very much. i have so many ideas for this fic, it'll be my first ever long fic on this blog! i'll reply to the ask once I'm done with the fic :3
Tumblr media
“my, isn’t it my favorite detective!” you hear a static, loud voice speak from behind you. you quirk a brow, slowly turning your head to see a demon that somehow resembles a deer. a red deer, that is. he wears this wide smile that stretches from ear to ear, his whole attire so formal it makes you question if you’re underdressed. he holds a cane in his hands; it looks like a speaker that he got custom-made. confusion bubbles inside of you, and multiple questions float across your mind. who is this man, that so happens to know what you work as when you were still alive?
and, out of all demons, why are you his favorite?
“I’m sorry, but have we met?” you turn your body to face him fully, your eyes scanning from head to toe wondering if it’s just a fuzzy memory of yours. the demon steps closer to you, a sense of uneasiness instantly rushes through your veins. you shudder suddenly..
“aha, of course we have! you were even so interested in me back when we were alive!” his words only made your confusion grow. you, being interested in someone? in what way? your work has never allowed you any extra space to catch feelings for anyone around you, so surely it’s not a crush unless you’ve misunderstood. It’s like he read your thoughts, he quickly adds in with a light chuckle.
“constantly trying to gather information about me, pinpointing my location, guessing my next move. fun times! I truly enjoyed watching you do so.” something clicked in your head. so this demon was presumably a target of yours before he died, but how could you know exactly which? you had so many targets, so many psychopaths you had to track down and lock them up for good. though, something about his deer features brings a blurry memory of a specific target that you currently can’t quite put a name to his face.
everyone in the hotel watches your interaction with the red demon quietly. the air is tense, nobody dared to breathe any harder than they are now. charlie is the most anxious one out of everyone in the room; angel is starting to doubt whether he should’ve brought you back to the hotel. but, surely, the manager is smarter than to kill off someone interested in staying, no?
“care to remind me which one are you?” your hands instinctively hide themselves in your pockets as a habit. your tone isn’t as friendly as it was when you spoke to the others, and the demon is loving the reaction he’s getting from you.
“gladly, my dear friend! i’d say my case was the one you spent the most time on,” you suddenly feel a strong tug on your hand before realizing that you’re shaking hands with the demon. his smile widens as you grow more uncomfortable. “the name’s alastor! pleasure to be meeting you, quite a pleasure! I was there to witness your lovely slash boring death,”
you pull your hand back from his grasp, face scrunching at the mention of your death. he witnessed your death? what is he hinting? Is he trying to tell you that it was he who took the life of yours?
“I watched as you were murdered by one petty man i convinced, it was one of the most boring deaths i’ve ever seen! but dear, was i disappointed that you’ll never be able to put a close to my case when i thought you’d do better at fighting back.” you freeze suddenly, blood running cold from your face as he carries on.
“I was the last target you had before dying, it was a joy toying with you like a little mouse.”
so that’s what all the familiarity you felt was. his demeanor and personality, all that was jotted down in the notebook you had for research. he matches everything you wrote; you remember word by word from the number of times you’ve reread it, the times at night when you’re desperate to finally put the case to a stop. you feel anger and disgust pound in your chest, feet stepping back a couple of times.
he’s the reason why you died. you stare at his mocking smile, his expression that clearly shows his enjoyment while watching your reaction. a growl bubbles from your chest, and you see the spider demon hesitantly approach you. he stays beside you, rubbing his arm nervously while trying to think of a reason to pull you away from this scene.
“I died because of you,” you breathe out, body shaking not from fear but anger and realization. you suddenly leap forward when angel is about to reach out for your arm, your fingers curl tightly around the collar of alastor’s shirt. his smile only widens at your actions, a light hum that slides out so smoothly and audibly. “and it was purely for fun?” it’s even possible to notice every small feature you have on your face from how close you’ve pulled his face to yours. you earn a mere shrug from the demon.
“woah! babes, hey, calm down would’ja? let’s head somewhere else.” you feel a tug at your arm, but you don’t budge. you want to hurt this demon, to beat him until he’s curled up into a ball on the ground, but you can’t. there’s something holding you back, something telling you to not go any further than what you’re currently doing. he reeks of danger and mystery, hell knows what would he do to you if you were to cross his line. with another growl, you harshly push him away and he stumbles back a few steps with a small ‘oh!’.
angel sees this and takes the chance to quickly drag you away from the scene, and you let him. Everyone in the hall watches angel drag you all the way to the kitchen until alastor is out of your sight. his clawed fingers release your arm, a concerned gaze fixated on your slumping figure as you let out a deep sigh while pressing your face onto the surface of your palms.
now, you’ll really have to think it through whether you want to stay in this hotel. having so many things to take in so suddenly messes up your thoughts, something you’re unfamiliar with considering how you’re always sharp and organized.

Golden Week Happy Bag 2024
Kagari’s Story
One day, during my stay in Kogyoku, I had been whisked away by Kagari.
Tumblr media
Kagari: "Princess."
Emma: "Wah...!"
Suddenly pulled back by the shoulders, I instinctively cling to Kagari sitting beside me.
Kagari: "...You were leaning too far forward. You would have fallen if you stayed like that."
Emma: "Oops, Sorry, I'll be more careful."
Kagari: "You better be. If you get injured, it'll ruin the cherry blossom viewing."
(Even though it was you who forcefully brought me here...)
(But you don't often get to see such a beautiful view, do you?)
The place where Kagari took me to was atop a cherry blossom tree in the castle with red tiles.
The fully bloomed cherry blossoms filling my sight, along with the blue sky and the town visible through the gaps, create a fantastical scene like a painting.
I gaze in wonder, as a gentle breeze caresses my skin, carrying the cherry blossom petals that fluttered around.
(It's beautiful...)
Tumblr media
Kagari: "In Kogyoku, it's said that if you can catch falling cherry blossom petals with your non-dominant hand, you'll find happiness."
Kagari: "I suppose you want to try it, Princess?"
Emma: "Of course. I'll make it happen in one go, so please watch."
Focusing on the fluttering petals, I waited for the right moment.
(Now!)
Kagari: "..."
(Here it is!)
Kagari: "..."
(This time for sure!)
Emma: "That's odd, seems like I'm off my game today."
Kagari: "Just admit that your reflexes and visual acuity are lacking."
(Well... that's harsh.)
The result was a crushing defeat, ending with me just grabbing at thin air.
Kagari: "Your hair seems to be doing a better job."
As soon as the hand wrapped in red gloves touched my hair, petals began to fall from it.
Kagari: "That’s one, two, three... four petals."
Emma: "That's a lot."
Kagari: "It seems you're fond of this cherry blossom. Hold still since there are still some left."
Emma: "Uh, okay."
(It feels like being petted on the head. It's nice, but a little embarrassing.)
Pretending not to notice the warmth on my cheeks, I wait for Kagari to withdraw his hand.
Tumblr media
Kagari: "..."
Emma: "Um, is something the matter, Kagari?"
Noticing the intense gaze, I keep my gaze on Kagari without averting them.
For some reason, Kagari takes a cherry blossom petal from my hair and puts it in his own, then tilts his head towards me.
(Is he… asking me to take it?)
Reaching out to his fiery red hair, I pluck the petal.
Occasionally, my hand is pressed against his head, and instinctively, I start to stroke it...
(Ah… it feels like being affectionately approached by a big cat, it's cute.)
Seeing a slight softening in his expression, my heart tightens.
Kagari: "Is it over already?"
Emma: "Yes. I've taken all the petals out."
Kagari: "...I see."
(Somehow, he seems disappointed.)
(Come to think of it, why did Kagari bring me to see the cherry blossoms?)
Subordinate: "Your highness."
I lowered my gaze at the sudden voice to find Kagari's subordinate standing there.
Subordinate: "The preparations for the meeting are complete."
Kagari: "Alright. You may proceed with it."
Subordinate: "Yes, understood."
(A meeting...)
●●●●●● Flashback ●●●●●●
Emma: "Um, Kagari, you seem to be injured..."
Tumblr media
Kagari: "It's not my blood."
Kagari: "Your timing is truly terrible, Princess."
●●●●●● Flashback End ●●●●●●
(Is another battle about to begin?)
Anxiety and fear crawl up my spine as the image of Kagari covered in blood flashes in my mind.
(I’d been taught that battles are like everyday occurrences in Kogyoku.)
(Still, I hope the damage isn't too severe.)
Although I'm an outsider, I can't help but earnestly wish for it.
Kagari: "...Apologies are meaningless now."
Emma: "Huh?"
When I looked up, the expressionless emerald eyes that had been staring at me turned towards the cherry blossoms as if passing by.
Kagari: "The cherry blossom viewing is over. It was a good distraction."
The wind once again stirred the cherry blossoms, showering petals.
Kagari effortlessly plucked a petal dancing in the air between his thumb and forefinger, and offered it to me.
Kagari: "A petal caught by a demon should have some effect."
Emma: "Only some effect?"
Kagari: "Don't want it? Fine then, suit yourself."
Kagari: "Did you want to become that happy?"
Emma: "I want it because it's a petal you caught for me."
Kagari: "Is that so?"
Emma: "Yes, it is."
Kagari: "...I see. It feels good to hear that."
Emma: "Thank you. I'll treasure it."
(An apology... Was that the meaning behind the cherry blossom viewing?)
(Yasha and battle maniac are terms used to describe him, but at heart, he's a kind person.)
I carefully cradle the received petal in both hands, making sure it doesn't get swept away by the wind.
(Another memory that's been made in here in kogyoku.)
Kagari: "You're that happy over just one petal? You're an easy-to-please Princess."
Emma: "Whoa...!?"
As I’m forcefully pulled closer, Kagari scooped me up in his arms and descended from the cherry blossom tree.
He’s always abrupt and forceful like this.
As my feet touch the ground, a sense of loneliness washes over me, as if signaling the end of a dream.
Kagari: "Farewell, Princess."
Emma: "...Yes."
(I've met Kagari many times already.)
(Yet... he never says "see you later," does he?)

Always (By your side) - JJ Maybank X Reader
Tumblr media
Request here
From the moment JJ was stabbed, you had been by his side. You were there when John B and pope helped drag him to the hospital, and you were there as the doctors rushed by his side. He needed an emergency surgery, and you sat right outside the door the entire time, hours passed. The pogues were just as stressed as you were, but despite Sarah and Kie's effort to get you to eat something or rest, you insisted on staying there. You had to know that JJ would be okay. You couldn't eat or sleep until you knew he was.
Finally, after hours of surgery and doctors prepping a small room for him, you were able to see him. He was covered in dirt from the sand storm, The doctors had his abdomen bandaged and he was hooked up to a heart monitor and an IV of fluids. You sat in the only chair in the room, right by his side once again.
Everyone was hell bent on revenge, and the pogues had gotten a hostel room to stay in. You had fallen asleep next to JJ, the doctors said he would wake up any minute and begin his recovery but you didn't want to miss it. Even when the others offered to look after him in shifts so that he wasn't alone when he woke up, you declined and stayed with him anyway. You appreciated the company and reassurance of your friends though. It was sweet. As you lay with your arms folded on the side of his bed and your head turned towards him, your chest rising and falling softly.
Because of your exhaustion, you were fast asleep when JJ woke up. He groaned softly and put his hand on yours, pulling you out of a light sleep. you gasped and pushed your chair closer to him. "Hi." he smiles weakly, his hair is a mess and his eyes are hazy, probably from the pain medicine. "Jayj," you say softly, holding his hand. "Fuck that hurts," he grit his teeth and winced. "Take it easy," you encouraged. "You really scared me." you admit softly, tears flowing from your eyes as if on cue. you sob softly, wiping your tears away. "Hey, you couldn't get rid of me that easily." he jokes. you smile softly, holding his hand to your face.
"How do you feel?" you ask him gently. "Like I just took a shit ton of morphine." He says he can't laugh without pain, so he chuckles as gently as he is able. "I'm sorry. Just lay back and rest." you ordered. "I'll let the others know." he holds your hand, you are unable to move he tightens his grip. "Hey," he says, his voice is hoarse and tired. "I love you." he says. you smile again. "I love you, J." you say, leaning down to kiss his forehead softly before stepping outside the room to let the others know he is awake and that he's ok.
John B is the first to rush in there, and then kie followed by pope. Cleo and Sarah stay with you for a moment in the waiting room. "Hey, Y/N." Sarah says gently. "Why don't you go back to the hostel, you must be exhausted." she urges. Cleo nodded in agreement, "We need ya to stay strong." Cleo adds. "JJ would want you happy n' healthy." you bit your lip and then nodded. they were right. you hadn't left JJ's side in days, and he was going to be okay. The doctors said so, you just wanted to be there when he woke up to make sure he was actually okay. "Yeah you're right." you admit, defeated. you knew they understood, and if it were John B Sarah would be in the same boat. they were understanding and kind to you. The love of your life was stabbed by his father, it wasn't exactly a happy feeling, it was traumatic. But you were happy you weren't going through it all alone.
"Hey, where's Rafe?" you asked before walking off. He was sort of new to the group so it was no wonder you wanted to know where he was. Sarah sighed. "He has a plan for revenge. He's out piecing things together." she said.
It was interesting, but you wanted revenge. If you ever saw Chandler Groff again you would take revenge on him for nearly killing the love of your life.

My place (Miguel O'Hara x reader)
Summary: Miguel has a thing for his neighbor.
Warnings: brief mention of masturbation (m), reader's wearing a dress.
Note: Y'all, I'm not gonna write smut at work.
Tumblr media
After losing the family that had never really been his, Miguel promised himself to focus on work to fix things, to make things right after what he had done. But that wasn't the only thing he promised himself. He also decided to stay away from relationships, keeping up his walls so no one could get too close to him again.
But you…
You were hard to resist. You had moved into the apartment next to his about three months ago, always greeting him with a beaming smile when you met in the hallway. He often thought about letting you closer, inviting you over for coffee or dinner, maybe even making a move on you at one point.
There were times when he touched himself fantasizing about you, believing nothing bad could come out of thinking about you every once in a while, imagining what you would be like when he fucked you senseless. All the sweet sounds that would leave your lips, the whimpers, the moans, his name, all of them sounding like a perfect melody that filled the room. He had a feeling you would be very vocal during sex, and the thought drove him crazy.
“I think this is the point where I need to remind you that this is practically stalking,” Lyla told him one day when he was waiting for you near the building you worked in.
Miguel let out a sigh as he considered her warning. She was right. He had been following you around when he had the time a few times in the past week or so, but he always justified his actions by saying it was to protect you. Just to know you got home safe. It was the right thing to do as Spider-man, right?
“You should go back to the HQ,” the AI spoke up again. He let out an annoyed groan, one to which she replied with a roll of her eyes behind the sunglasses. “Or maybe try to talk to her this time. You know, like a normal human being would probably do.”
“I'll talk to her when the time is right,” he replied.
“And when will that be? You've been neglecting work lately. People are looking for you.”
Miguel looked down at Lyla, his mouth open as he was about to answer. But then he took his time, deciding not to lash out at the one person who was trying to help him. “I'm not neglecting work. If anything, I'm neglecting sleep,” was all he said.
His assistant didn't push the matter any further, but it made him think about what he was doing and he realized what a creep he had been. He should talk to you the next time you meet, telling you how he thought about asking you out, just as Lyla suggested, hoping you wouldn't turn your back on him halfway through his monologue.
To his surprise, though, he received a message while he was working at the HQ. It was from you. He had no idea how you found him, but seeing your number–that he already had from not-so-legal sources–made his heart rate jump. At first he didn't even want to read it, being afraid whatever it was would just avert his thoughts from more important matters for the rest of the night. But in the end it turned out not knowing why you wrote him was much worse, so he opened the message and began to read it.
You: Hi, it's your neighbor from 349. I got your number from the janitor who apparently had it for emergencies. Anyway, I know it's probably weird, but I was wondering if you'd like to join me tomorrow evening to watch a play. I got two tickets at work but have no one to go with.
He had to reread the message a few times to understand that you've just asked him out on a date. Or maybe you were just trying to be friends with him with no other intention. Why did this have to be so confusing? After cursing out loud in Spanish, happy that no one was around apart from Lyla to hear it, he began to think about how to reply. He had to be cool about this.
Miguel: Hey. It sounds nice, I'd gladly join you.
You: Cool. Meet me in the hallway at seven?
Miguel: Sure.
“You'll have to talk to her tomorrow, you know,” Lyla noted as if he hadn't known that.
The next evening couldn't come fast enough. He busied himself with work to make time pass faster, but you were always on his mind, the possibilities of how your encounter would end on repeat in his brain. If he played his cards right, he might have you where he really wished to see you–in his bed.
When he stepped out of his apartment two minutes before seven, you were already there, wearing a gorgeous black dress with high heels that were killing him. The moment you noticed him, your eyes began to shine and your lips curled into a sweet smile, making him wonder how you could be this cheerful all the time.
“You look absolutely stunning,” he said before he could stop himself, but you didn't seem to mind. “I can't say I wasn't surprised when I got your message, though.”
You nodded as you licked your lips nervously. “I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be weird, I just… I've been planning to chat with you for a while now anyway. Thought tonight could be the chance for that,” you explained.
“I'm glad you invited me. And you're not weird.” Miguel assured you with a smile. “I've been thinking about talking to you, too, I just wasn't sure you would be interested.”
“I am.”
You fell silent, but just when he was about to break the silence and ask you if you were ready to go, you launched forward and pulled his head down to kiss him. It was a messy, hungry kiss, and he was sure he would devour you if you weren't careful enough. But you didn't seem scared, not even when you felt his fangs tear into your bottom lip.
When he pulled away for a moment to breathe, admiring your puffy lips and the way you were looking up at him through your lashes, he realized that you didn't want to go anywhere. You had your finger hooked under his belt, and you were pulling him towards your door at a painfully slow pace.
“I don't know about you, but I'm not even that interested in that play,” you whispered quietly.
Miguel kissed you again, this time not holding back when he pushed your back against the wall. “My place,” he growled against your lips, and you were quick to nod in response. “Good girl.”

neurosurgeon!hongjoong × reader
buy me coffee ?
where love and peace is held, i never expected for this to happen. i planned and i planned, i expected, and i hoped, but it was never you. you held what i wanted hostage to make room for you, the thing that i needed but has no means of acceptance. deny me, live your best life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It didn't occurred to you that you had fallen asleep until you felt hands tapping your shoulders gently, slowly waking you up from your slumber.
"Hey, did you fall asleep here?"
Your eyes adjusted for a moment, trying to remember where you were only to feel your lower spine cracking as you shifted in your seat. It was a mistake fallung asleep while sitting on the floor of Hongjoong's bedroom.
Realizing you had let out an involuntary groan that was louder than you intended, your eyes snapped to the boy sleeping in a sprawled out starfish position to make sure that he didn't wake up and thankfully he was still snoring (and drooling) away. "When did you came home?" You croaked out as you tried to stand up in front of Hongjoong who was snickering at you, "Just now. Has Kijoong eaten lunch?" Your head turned to the side to look at the clock that had struck 2.37 so you nodded, "Yeah he ate around an hour ago before I put him down for a nap," you said as you stretched a little while Hongjoong nodded, soon moving to put his work bag by his side of the bed after giving Kijoong a peck on his forehead.
"Hey, you must be hungry. I'll go heat up lunch," before you stepped out of the room, you made sure to turn pn the baby monitor you had put on the bedside table on Kijoong's side before clipping the other on your jeans. As you checked if the monitors were functioning correctly, Hongjoong took notice and furrowed his eyebrows, "Is that his baby monitor??" You spared him a glance and nodded, "Yeah, I've been using it this whole time when I need to do stuff when Kijoong is asleep. I'll go get food ready for you," with that, you left the room.
Hongjoong couldn't help but stare in awe of the way you're taking care of his son with what he could only see as expertise and affection. Though he wasn't that attentive, he noticed the shift in the way you cared for Kijoong. You still held a firm hand but you seem to be more nervous, cautious, even paranoid to leave him all alone. While Hongjoong appreciated you staying at his place to care for Kijoong, he wonderee why you volunteered in the first place. You may have your own reason and he wouldn't dare pry if not needed, but it did made him wonder if this was what Kijoong's own mother do had she been around for this situation. That is... Had she even been around for Kijoong, would he still have pnes?
Trailing behind slowly, Hongjoong watched the way you move around his apartment. Over the course of a month, you had made several changes in his place to the point that it didn't feel like his apartment anymore. It felt like a home. There were more proof of life what with scattered toys that weren't there because Kijoong would usually be at the hospital daycare after school, his stove now have scratches and his pots and pans have scorched bottoms. To add to that, his home smells different. It smells like warmth that spreads through his chest.
"You look like you're deep in thoughts," Hongjoong jumped at the sound of your voice. Though you had your back on him, you talked like you were watching him this whole time. "I'm..." he was trying to come up with an answer but he couldn't think of any. Even when you turned around to place the soup you made on the table, he was still standing there just staring. You walked around the table and pull up the chair he usually sat on, patting it twice, "Come on, sit down, I'll get you some rice," you said and he obeyed.
Once seated, his gaze shifted to the food before him and without thinking, he blurted out, "Is this what having a woman in the house feels like?" Your hand froze mid-scoop of rice, surprised at what he said. "I... I was just wondering about Kijoong's mom," Hongjoong continued. It was the first time he had mentioned Kijoong's mom ever since you started working there.
You were silent when you closed the rice cooker's lid and even as you placed the bowl in front of Hongjoong and sat across him. You were curious, sure, and you've never really had the opportunity to ask him. Thinking about how it was just the two of you and Kijoong was asleep, you decided to ask. "What happened to Kijoong's mom anyways?"
To be frank, you expected him to be taken aback, pausing momentarily, something. But Hongjoong simply chuckled as he reached for a sausage from one of the banchan plates spread in front of him. "Her name was Seo Aejeong and I met her at the hospital by accident the first year I became a resident. She said she was waiting for a friend who's seeing a psychiatrist there and we ended up talking and even exchanging numbers. She mentioned how she wanted to become a doctor too but ended up going against it because she wanted to have a family of her own and being a doctor meant she couldn't dedicate her time to tend to her children even though she had the capabilities. I found that admirable and we started seeing each other outside the knowledge of anyone at the hospital and... Around four months later... Well..." "Even doctors forgot protection, huh?" you teased, causing his face to flare red in embarrassment, "It broke, okay?" he huffed, shoving a rolled omelette in his mouth and chewing aggressively like how Kijoong would when you told him he couldn't have chocolate before dinner.
"We both agreed to have the baby because we were on the same page on most things and after further discussion, we were financially able to anyway. But shit fell apart when I brought her to her first check-up," he sighed and you could tell that what he wanted to say next was more baffling than it is painful. "There, I found out that she wasn't even who she said she was. See, when I met her, she told me that her name was Seo Aejeong, turns out, her name was Kang Minhee and she was the patient of Mingi's Attending and mentor. The life she told me about was half true and half a lie which was made so because she has Borderline Personality Disorder which causes delusion. In this case, she believed that she wasn't Kang Minhee, she believed that she was Seo Aejeong, a girl who went missing in 2002, the same day Kang Minhee got separated from her nanny when they went to a park only to be found at the doorstep of her family's estate 4 days later. Or so people told her because she believed that her rich family paid someone to kidnap Seo Aejeong and pretended like she was Kang Minhee because the real Kang Minhee died. She believed it was so because she had no recollection of her life before that."
You were staring at him with your mouth agape, shocked that this Grey's Anatomy-level drama was part of your life. Hongjoong looked up after taking a sip of his soup, confused by the way you were staring at him, "What?" He asked as if he hadn't just told you what was probably the juiciest story you've ever heard. "I'm sorry, aside from that AMAZING backstory, what actually happened? Where is she now?" Then, that moment, with that question came pain. "I... Well, we did end up having Kijoong and we even lived together. I actually got close to Mingi because of her as he was tasked to keep an eye on Kijoong's mom and he helped me aid her condition because when she gave birth, she got into a rather serious postpartum depression. Her parents wanted to put her in a postpartum care centre not because they thought she needed it, but because they thought the baby would need the attention their daughter wouldn't give them. Nice people they are, Kijoong's other grandparents. They still try to chip in every now and then and while they didn't get to have a relationship with Kijoong, they still send us things. And at first, I thought she was getting better because she did. After a month of being at the postpartum care centre, she came home happier and it even seemed like she was bonding with Kijoong. Until the day Kijoong hit his three-month milestone, I came home after a long shift to find Aejeong... Minhee... She, sitting on the couch with Kijoong in her arms but she was dressed like she had somewhere to go with a paper that signed her parental rights away on the table. She told me that her giving birth to Kijoong was cathartic because, as she said, he allowed her to leave Seo Aejeong behind and move forward as Kang Minhee for her own well-being," he said, smiling bitterly.
You were not one prone to serious violence but at that moment, you really do want to find whoever that Seo Aejeong/Kang Minhee is and beat the living shit out of her. It was one thing to get pregnant accidentally, but it was a whole other thing when she gave birth and realized it was a "cathartic" experience that allowed her to "move on" with her life. Who the fuck does that?
You slammed your hand on the table, effectively causing Hongjoong to choke on his soup, "What the fuck!? She used Kijoong as a therapy tool? I mean I get that she has mental issues but that doesn't excuse anything," you scoffed, crossing your arms on your chest as you glared ahead, making it seem like you were glaring at Hongjoong. After managing to calm his breathing down, Hongjoong waved his hand around, "Okay, it's nothing like that. She didn't use him, the catharsis just happened after she gave birth and I do agree that she needed to get better mentally so... I let her go," he said. You couldn't help but squint your eyes at him curiously, "Is that why you haven't been able to move on from her?" Abashed, Hongjoong averted his gaze, "You don't know how it is to have someone you're so fond of be taken away from you," he muttered.
While you didn't know how it was being him, going through what he went through, you had your own experience.
Leaning back against your chair, you smiled up at him, "Don't you ever wonder why I quit my last nursing job?" Sensing that you were about to tell him something, Hongjoong straightened up in his seat, "I lost a kid and I couldn't handle it," you prefaced, "It was a mistake that should have never happened but it did, it happened because there was a lack of communication happening between the nurses and t was so stupid," you sighed. This intrigued Hongjoong as seen from the way he rested his elbows on the dining table and leaned towards you. You then continued, seeing his interest, "I was assigned a case, a kid with a blood disorder which didn't allow his blood to have a strong flow because they clot too easily so we did a coagulant therapy with heparin. His name was Junhyuk and I think he was around eight years old when I met him. He was the exact opposite of Kijoong but I'm willing to bet he would've liked playing with him," Hongjoong couldn't help but crack a grin at how you affectionately laughed at the memories of Jinhyuk and even including Kijoong in your memories. "Because of his condition, he was prone to having a stroke and he actually came in because he had some clots that could potentially risk a heart attack so he was scheduled for a thrombectomy after seeing that the heparin didn't really do much. The hospital I worked at had a strict morning and night nurse schedule rotation we were in the middle of a restructuring so our night nurses were temps. I left that night after checking up on Jinhyuk and I even made sure to note that he had surgery at 8 am the next day. I should've listed what he could or couldn't have because the temp gave him heparin because it was part of his scheduled medication so when a little mishap happened with the catheter, he bled profusely and because everyone assumed his heparin was stopped, no one suspected that it was the drugs so they opened him up and..." "He bled out on the table," Hongjoong concluded.
"I came to work only to be greeted with the news that Junhyuk had died. I basically had a breakdown and I was given a week off. They did an autopsy on Junhyuk's body and when I found out the cause, I couldn't bring myself to come back to work. I blamed myself for what happened." You had been trying to hide your tears but when Hongjoong slipped tissues into your hands, you realized he was paying every bit of attention to you. "Is that why you were so... Frantic when Kijoong choked on jello? Because you lost a kid?" Hongjoong asked, now finding a new side of you he hadn't taken into account before. "I couldn't let another kid die on my watch," you hiccupped softly. Grabbing your hands, Hongjoong pulled your gaze onto him, "You were not at fault, it was an accident you couldn't have predicted so it's not something you could've prevented. You're only human," he said.
The two of you held hands as you made the realization that you both were not so different after all. You realized why he was so frustrating to you, it was because there was a connection between you two that was amiss for a while.
"Two idiots in a room holding hands, getting emotional over abandonment say what?" you cracked the silence which caused Hongjoong to furrow his eyebrows, "What?" he asked. "What?" you teased. Once he realized what just happened, Hongjoong scoffed, rolled his eyes, and let go of your hands though the grin on his face remained.
The moment was cut short by the sound of soft sobs calling for you from the baby monitor on your hip. "Welp, that's the boss calling," you pushed yourself up and out of your chair, "I'll be back to clean the dishes, you really should consider taking a shower because you smell like cheap coffee and IV drip," you teased, moving past Hongjoong only for him to grab your hand mid-way. You thought he was going to make a snarky remark but your eyes widened slightly at the way he was looking up at you with a soft gaze, "Thank you for taking care of Kijoong and me so well, (y/n). I truly appreciate it," he smiled, causing your heart to automatically skip a beat. Though it was the first time he had ever done that to you, you didn't feel awkward at all. Not even when you squeezed his hand gently, "It's my pleasure, Hongjoong. Really," you smiled back before rushing to tend to Kijoong who had started sniffling and trying to get out of bed to look for you.
It felt nice for Hongjoong to be able to share a person he trusted with Kijoong. For a moment, things felt real. For a moment, it felt like things were where they were supposed to be.
For a moment, he was able to breathe.

Introductions Pt 2
Pt 1
Pt 3
Tumblr media
Summary: Reader is a vigilante on young justice who goes to the same school as Walls. Only Wally doesn't know the readers identity, but she knows his. SLOW BURN
Wally West x Fem!Reader
"Hi, I'm Wally West. It's nice to meet you."
As his voice rang in my ears, and he seemed to look back at his book, my heart would begin to race. I sat there for a moment too long, so I quickly would pick up my own voice, even if it cracked. "I'm y/n l/n. It's nice to meet you too." He doesn't know. He can't know.
Wally would once again look back up from the textbook, his eyes seeming to scan along my face. "You're not new. I know you." shit. "Well, I just changed classes, not schools. I've been at Keystone my whole life. I'm just not the most popular person."
"Oh cool, I hope you like the advanced course. If you ever need any help I'll gladly give you my number. Science is one of the only things I seem to be good at." he genuinely doesn't know? I'm glad, at least this is my chance. Let's find out who Kid Flash is under all the spandex.
He's a nerd. He's a total nerd.
Often, before class, I would find myself in a conversation about the latest scientific fact, most of them being obscure. He seemed to always speak with his hands, a grin never leaving his face. I found out his uncle is a forensic chemist, which helps explain his passion for all things scientific. Even if he didn't outwardly say it, I could tell he meant a lot to him. But when the class would eventually begin, Wally would totally shut off the conversation, rarely continuing it over a note. He took the class very seriously.
He's not exactly how I would have expected him to be. Compared to how he is as Kid Flash, he's much more sporadic. He seems to always lead a conversation, which I don't always mind, but when he asked me about what I liked one time, he didn't interrupt. He let me rant for a while before I realized what I was doing, though he only encouraged me to go on with a smile.
...
"So that's why I've got to go to Central City for the week." Wally lied about some other excuse for a mission. It felt wrong knowing he's really going to fight crime. I have no room to talk, really. I'll be busy at Keystone myself. I wonder how much of it is actually a lie and how much is really fact.
"It's fine, I understand it's not your fault, but i'll miss you." Wally seemed to avoid eye contact almost if my comment had made him uncomfortable. I was telling the truth though, I would miss him. Even more than I would like to admit. I didn't pressure him about it further as the class went on.
But when it was time for us to take notes from the textbook, and the whole class was sent on their own, Wally would slide me a folded piece of notebook paper. He didn't even look at me, so if any outside eyes had seen the exchange, it would look as if he was returning something of mine. I would quietly open the slip to be greeted by Wally's hastily written writing.
Hey, text me the work I'll miss next week
My eyes scanned the page only to land on his number at the bottom. He could just get it from the teacher, but the fact he trusted me enough with his perfect grade was flattering. Wally's handwriting is another one of those things I didn't think would differ from note to note. Ones he had the time to write at home are always much neater, though his handwriting is much bigger than normal standards would accept, I don't mind. The notes he writes me at school are always messy, almost like he's trying to write faster than he can but doesn't want to use his speed, so in the end, it's just much slopper. If one didn't know Wally, they could rightfully assume the contrast between his writing could be the work of two different people.
Sure, but is it just for the notes right?
I would put in my own words under his before slipping it back to him. He would immediately slide it back into my hands. I didn't even think he wrote anything until I opened it again. This time, his handwriting was perfectly placed, almost as if it was typed.
Yes.
I tuck the paper in my jacket pocket, I'll put it in my drawer with the rest when I get home. I feel bad about throwing them away, so they sit in my bedside table, its not like anyone would ever go into my room and find them anyway. Sometimes, I like to read over them before I go on patrol. It reminds me of our conversation at the warehouse. One where I'm not as alone as I think I am.
Yet the nervous tapping of Wally's pencil brings me back to the class. He taps it ten times before flipping the pencil back over, continuing to write. No matter what, he seemed to always tap it ten times. In a way, it felt like he knew I zoned off. It was him bringing me back to everything. Even if it wasn't intentional. Wally fidgets a lot when he tries to focus or distract himself, the repetitive movements being a form of comfort.
...
It's Tuesday now, and I'm perched on top of a building in full gear. My phone sits in my hand with Wally's contact staring back at me. I need to text him the work from yesterday. I haven't even said hello yet. Hello is too formal, we are friends, a hey would fit better.
These past two days have been abnormally quiet. His empty seat in class is only a reminder of why he's really gone. I hope he's okay.
FLEETFEET
Hey, it's y/n. Here's the work from yesterday and today. Hope everything is okay in CC

I would sit there for a bit, looking at the screen. Maybe he's already on some sort of mission. Why is texting so stressful? As soon as I started to shut off my phone, it would light back up with his reply.

Hey y/n! Central City has
been pretty cool, my Uncle Barry
showed me around his work at Star Labs today. That place is surprisingly
really huge. Thanks for sending
the work.

Its almost midnight, he should really go to sleep. I should really start patrol. This really isn't a good idea.
Nothing much hbu? just watching
traffic go by. I swear I've seen three
crashes in the span of two
hours ppl r wild.

Dude you should see it here.
Traffic is actually so slow it
makes me want
to scream. We sat at a
red light for 4 whole mins.

Oh. My. God. 4 whole mins?!1!
How can they do that to you!
Don't they know who you are!!!

The hottest guy alive thats who.

I couldn't help but laugh at his statement. Typing back a quick 'pls lol' before turning off my phone. It was getting too late I needed to start. I wish he was here, sometimes I could get a glance of the yellow and red highlight speeding by back home, on this road, about this time. He never worked late at night. That was more left up for the other heros, ones like me. I look to the streets, the dim lights from the lamps only shone back with a faint glow. No streak of color to be seen, but a part of me hoped it would still apear.
My night was full of stopping petty crimes, luckily I didn't have to go against any metahumans, but still like any other night everything would start to hurt after a certain threshold. Inbeetween threats I would find myself checking to see if Wally had kept our conversation going.
He did.
Until 4 am.
He was asking me mostly about myself, which was weird in a way. But in another, it made sense. The questions were more deep then anything since he already had asked the basic getting to know each other questions months ago. In the end, though, he stopped the conversation telling me to head to sleep, as I had school in the morning. Which was true. Even after patrol, I was still texting him from the comfort of my home, but I would eventually listen, heading to get some rest.
The week would continue the same as the night before. I was sending Wally the work and him dragging on our conversation throughout the night, but never long enough for the sun to rise the next day. On Saturday was when one of his messages caught me by surprise.
FLEETFEET
Are you free to call?
Seen 1:12 am
Before I could even protest how that could be a bad idea or how that might reveal who I was, his contact was flashing onto my screen along with his picture. I place the phone to my ear and answer it. I hoped the interstate couldn't be audible up from here.
"I told you shes not going to- hey! Hey..."
Wally's voice picks up on the other line, he seems to be in some sort of living room, as the hum of a television can be heard in the background as well as someone else having a conversation.
"Hey Walls? What's up?" My voice sounded strained from not speaking for hours, I hoped Wally couldn't tell. "Oh, um, I was just wondering about some of the work you sent me. Like you took the photos of the work perfectly okay, but in the background, I saw something." At the word something, his voice would slightly jump.
Did I leave my equipment in a photo? was my reflection shown? Was it something he wasn't supposed to see?
"Yeah It's-It's going to sound really stupid. What... what were those papers spread out on your bed?" Oh. Ohhhhh no. The notes, I left out his notes on my bed. I must have got some of them into the frame. I quickly opened out a chat to the last photo. There they were. Luckily, they were not in focus, so he couldn't really tell what they said, but still. There they were.
His voice would start up again after my second of silence. "Are they really swamping you with that much work?" "Yeah, yeah. My other class, a big final its uh its is coming up, so I was studying the notes." I let out a sigh of relief. "But that's not your handwriting? It actually kind of looks like-"
"Wally, I have to go. I'll see you Monday at school."
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
That was terrible. He would never let me live that down if I told him I was keeping such things. That even more was embarrassing, I have to explain why I had to go. And I have until Monday for these excuses. Which is technically tomorrow. Fun.
...
I was saved. I got called into a mission before school at Mt. Justice. Even though Wally would be there, y/n technically wouldn't. When I arrived, he was already in costume talking to Megan about something. He still did the thing with his hands while he spoke. Making his statements larger than life and thoroughly exaggerated. "I just don't know what to do. I trust her more than anything, I wish she would just tell me. It's not like im going to judge her. She knows that. I mean, you heard the conversation. "
His back was turned to me, so I couldn't see his face while he went on. Although I knew what he was talking about. "Hey Megan. Hey Wally." I waved at the two while I walked past them to the kitchen. "H/n! You're a girl. I need advice. What do I do when my friend is keeping stuff from me." I would stop and slowly turn around to his pleading gaze. "Walls, aren't you keeping stuff from her? You have to trust her in that sort of regard. Give her time to open up."
"Thats...Fair." Wally would drop himself back to normal as my words got through to him. "Besides, it took me a while to realize I trusted you." Both in and out of costume. I do. I trust him more than anything. More than anyone.
So I should have told him. He said he wasn't going to judge me, and I know he wouldn't have. I let my emotions get the better of me at the moment, If he asks again, I'll tell him the truth. No matter what.
...
The mission went by with a breeze, the biggest threat being now as Robin sent Wally falling towards me at full speed. I ended up catching the both of us before he could send us tumbling over a building. I held us there for a while, my arms wrapped around him in a hug. He just looked at me. His heightened breathing trailed my neck as he grasped onto my arms. He didn't admit it, but he was scared, I was too. Fifteen stories were a lot to fall from.
The other heroes, as well as criminals, paid us no attention, too occupied in their own fights, as I held Wally at the edge of the roof. One of my feet hanging halfway off. I was closer to falling than he was. My back was to the city.
"Hey, h/n." Was all he said as his face began to knowticablely regain too much color. "Hey West." Wally would move his head to rest in the crook of my neck as he tried to calm his rapid breathing. He told me late at night over text one time he was scared of heights.
As I started to try to move us back away from the edge, Wally would only plant himself in my hold even more. I needed to help him snap back into the situation. Before he messed up and tipped us over.
"Wally. You've never asked me who I am before." Trust. He needs to trust me. "Be...Bec..Cause! You're not comfortable... ye-yet."  Inbeetween words, he would let out large audible gasping. "You won't judge me, right?" He shook his head side to side, keeping his eyes remained shut. I would let out a sigh of my own.
"I trust you. Kid Flash, I need you to trust me. Not only as h/n but as y/n. y/n l/n. The one who's going to get you off this roof. Back to the ground floor."

Better Strangers. (Unless?)
Well it took a bit more time than I expected, wonder why THAT is (side eyes the wizard that put a curse on me, currently tied up in the corner) but it's here now, so I hope you enjoy! She's long, and I had to cut some stuff because it wasn't working, but such is life
If you've never read Confused Spirit, this will make a lot less since to you lol, so I recommend reading it first (though it's not a requirement). Again, this bad boy is canon to the story, but will never be directly mentioned in it
Word count: 7500
Song rec: Tommy's Party - Peach Pit (ignore the lyrics, it's the vibes that matter here)
Also posted on Ao3 if you prefer reading that way.
Content warning: Mentions of self-depreciation, self-gaslighting, depression, bits of yelling, etc. Small bits of using alcohol as a coping mechanism. Additionally, if you've never experienced what it's like to be anxious-drunk, you're in for it. Reader discretion is advised

"Okay, money's on the counter, Lisa needs to do her math homework before cartoons, and if you could do some flashcard practice with Gabe that would be super great but no worries if not, okay bye!" You say in a rush before opening and closing the front door.
You lean back against it briefly, take a deep breath, and force yourself to march over to your car.
It's your least favorite day of the quarter, second only to your least favorite day of the semester.
Parent-Teacher Conferences.
Comparable to Report-Review day at work, or tax season. The reason it was your second least favorite was because the other Parent-Teacher Conference day usually landed on a Friday, meaning you had one more night of the week you had to go out.
This one was just a bit more bearable in that yeah, you had work afterward, but at least you could use all of tomorrow evening to recharge. And you certainly intended to.
The school parking lot is filled with parents coming and going, chatting with those they know. You briefly greet anyone who says hello, but keep on your way, you want this to be quick, you've only got an hour or so before your late shift.
The meeting goes about how you'd expect, Lisa's the perfect little angel at school, it's just with you that she's a complete and utter menace. You'd considered the evening to likely being end on a high note based on this, but you'd be wrong.
Very wrong.
It's as you're walking out that you run into what would be your catalyst.
"Oh, funny seeing you here, dear!" Helen says as she approaches.
Inside you're saying every swear you can think of, outwardly you smile, "Hi Helen. It's parent-teacher night, of course I'd be here."
"I know, I know, merely joking."
You stand there, awkward, head nodding once, "Well if that's all then I'll be on my way then-"
"Well it's just, how do I put this," She tutters, shaking her head, "I can't imagine what your meeting must've been like. And I won't speculate of course, I just want you to know that I'm thinking of you, is all."
Your brows furrow briefly, but you try to remain neutral. Chill, you're chill. You can kick Helen's ass in a fight if you wanted, it's fine.
"The meeting went well, actually. Lisa's a good kid, I only stopped by because Mrs. Isley's been wanting brag on her in person."
This doesn't deter Helen, which you'd been, actually you can never tell what to expect with her. Doesn't matter, she keeps that sad look on her face, hand coming to rest on your shoulder, "Well, I wasn't sure if she was aware of the tumultuous situation with your family is all. It sounds like something that would greatly be affecting Lisa's performance. But I'm so glad to hear that's not the case."
"What, what do you mean?"
"Well, I ran into your aunt, Hannah's her name, right?" Helen tsks, "She told me all about your situation. Just awful to listen to, you know."
It occurs to you to glance over to where Helen came from, her typical group of parents she gossiped with. They're looking at you now, that same, bullshit look on their face. And you can just catch some of the things they say.
"To think someone like that's taking care of Lisa."
"I know, could you imagine, being so cruel to your family?"
"Typical twenty something, has no regard for anyone but themself."
"It is selfish, isn't it? Their parents would be ashamed."
You freeze then, something in you shutting down. You don't know what to say, how to react, how to even, think, for a moment.
This is possibly one of the worst case scenarios you could ever imagine. Helen knows an exceeding amount of information about you that you've done your best to hide for the sake of your siblings. Stuff that would otherwise be harmless, where you work, where Lisa goes to school, what daycare you use, etc. But could be incredibly dangerous when the wrong person find out about it. And at this point, you have no idea one way or the other if they have.
Has Rick's family tried shit in the past? Of course. Have they ever taken it that far? Debatable. You'd done your best to keep your personal life unknown to them for a reason however. But did you really know what their limits were? You had absolutely no clue.
And that terrifies you.
And it's your fault in the first place.
"Are you alright?" Helen asks, in a tone that is so fake you swear you can taste plastic.
You snap out of it. Not here, not now. Instead, you beam, "Of course! Why wouldn't I be?"
This throws her for a loop finally, "I, well I-"
"I appreciate all the concern, Helen, really, I do. But we're doing just fine," Your hand pats the one of your shoulder and she flinches back. Ironic, you know.
You laugh, it's loud and fake as hell but it does what you need it to, "I don't know what you've been told, but let me assure you, there's a reason we're not on great terms. Didn't file that police report for nothing!"
At this, people start to turn towards you both, muttering quietly. Usually, such a thing would embarrass you. But you're channeling your rage to smother your panic. Your shame.
Hannah and the rest of Rick's family lives on the complete other side of the city. Helen would have had to go out of her way to manage to run into any one of them. And it sounds like she had.
If you had to guess, it was probably incidental, you have no social media, they all do. All it would take is a bit of profile browsing to find the connection and if she ever came across any of them, could easily strike up a conversation. Still crazy, but slightly less crazy than other options.
"Is everything okay over here?" Looking to your side you see Mrs. Isley, glare on her face, pointed toward Helen, before sharing a concerned look briefly with you.
You nod, "We're just fine, but I do have to get going now. Thanks for the, words of encouragement, Helen."
Her face has grown red, and can't even muster a response. Satisfied, you lean in as you pass her by, voice low, but still loud enough for the teacher behind you to overhear, "Hope you got what you wanted from that. Because next time, I won't be so nice and just say outright how the PTA president goes out of her way to find someone's toxic family members and delve into their personal life for no damn good reason."
You give her a rough pat on the back, and march out of there. Behind you, you can hear Mrs. Isley start to lay into the soccer mom who had so much free time on her hands to try and upset the 23 year old who, apparently, must be doing a better job at parenting than she was, as that what the only explanation you could come up with for her vendetta against you.
Once you make it out of the building is when you allow the facade to start to break down. You're panicked, you're freaking out. You're trying to determine if you're going to have to switch school districts now or what. You really don't want to uproot Lisa because of a mistake you made, which was believing that Helen Chase would mind her own damn business and-
Someone is calling after you. You look up from unlocking your car to see it's Mrs. Isley.
You raise a hand as she makes it over to you, out of breath, "It's fine, Aubrey. Just the typical bs. I'm okay."
"I'm sure you are," She says, pointing back to the school and shaking her head, "But that, was unacceptable behavior on her part and I am not going to let it fly by, rest assured. She's the head of the PTA, she's well aware of the school's 'no-contact list'."
"I-"
She raises her hand now, "No. Not this time. I get it, you don't want to make waves. But this was too far, and it's not fair to you in any which way to just leave it lie. She will be reprimanded, and if anything happens because of it," She shakes her head, "Well, I'm not going to let it."
"Thanks," You manage to choke out. The stress and relief both getting to you in that moment, due in large part to her firmness on the matter.
The teacher hugs you then, squeezing tight, "We have rules in place for this kind of stuff. And I'm sure once her husband hears wind of this he'll do his best to make sure nothing comes of it," She pulls back, hands on your cheeks, "Okay?"
You nod, hoping she can't see the tears pricking your eyes, "Okay."
Aubrey lets you go, "You're sure you're fine?"
"Yeah," You shake your head, "Just the words of someone who doesn't know how to mind their own business. I've had worse."
She nods, "Alright. Have a good night, and be safe."
You say goodbye and she walks off. You have to grip your wrist with your free hand to keep the one that's shaking steady enough to grab the door handle.
You drive in silence to the Plex, both hands tight on the wheel.
You're not going to let it get to you, you're not going to let it get to you, you know she's wrong, she's always wrong, she's just an asshole and you know that you're doing your best, you're doing great! Lisa's proof of that, Gabe's proof of that. You're fighting and you're trying, you're trying, you're trying-
The doors to the Daycare shut behind you, interrupting your thoughts.
Adjusting your bag on your shoulder, you look around for your beanbag, finding it absent.
"What are you doing here?"
You turn, finding Sun cleaning up art supplies across the room.
You shake your head, "Not in the mood for this tonight, Sun. If you didn't want me around you could've just said so."
His rays flick back and forth, "What are you talking about?"
"Uh, my beanbag?" You nod to the empty spot, not ignoring the confusion he also displays, "Not the end of the world, really, but still."
He just stares over at you.
Then, "Bright Eyes, it's Friday."
Shit. It is Friday. You'd lost two days. Too caught up in work and stress and so on, to the point you'd hired Clara for the night and hadn't even realized. Not that it was her fault, she had no reason to question your foolishness. Your fault. Your mistake. Your fuck up.
Like always.
"I, right, yeah."
"Now, as much as I'd be thrilled to continue to entertain you, I have a preparations to be making," He walks over and starts to guide you, not gently, towards the door, "You understand I'm sure."
You shrug him off, embarrassed, not helping your already growing negative feelings and thoughts, "Yeah, I got it. Night."
You walk out, a bit aimless now. You're frustrated, you're upset, and you really, really, are feeling a bit shitty. There's tears pricking your eyes again, and honestly, you don't know what you need right now to fix it.
"Boss? What are you doing here?"
You turn, "Pete? It's eight o' clock on a Friday, why aren't you home?"
He puts both hands on his chest, "I'm here for my best buddy Jacob's birthday. See the hat," He points to his head, where indeed, he's wearing a party hat, "Did you want to join?"
"I, you know what? Yeah. I would."
"Great! Come on," He slings an arm around your shoulder, changing your direction to the West Arcade, "Some of the gang's upstairs. Savannah was busy, and Jesse's out of town, like a loser, but you'll know most everyone I think."
"You're not going to question me anymore?" You ask.
He shrugs, "Well no, not my business what you get up to. Unless you want it to be?"
You shake your head instantly, you didn't need to embarrass yourself by telling your coworker you let a middle-aged woman's words make you cry.
He nods, looking forward again, "Besides, you looked like you needed a distraction. For a bit anyway."
"Thanks, Petey," You sigh, "I do."
The atmosphere inside the West Arcade hits you instantly as you walk inside.
People are chatting, dancing, drinking and making fools of themselves, what you'd typically expect from a Plex party. Or really, any party with a bunch of burnt out twenty-somethings.
You meet up with Liv and Tyler, and are given a party hat and a drink shortly thereafter.
You stare down at it for a moment, briefly, and check the time, you have Clara until 11:30, you can have one and sober up in time.
You say the same thing after the second, and after the third argue that you can just, pick up your car tomorrow, grab an Uber.
After, drink four, you take the time to sober up for just a moment, which ends up being a mistake. Because now you're alone with your thoughts, and after the night you've had, that's the worst place for you to be.
The words said to you by a bunch of women in their 40s should not upset you like this, they're the ones choosing to pick on someone half their age. Sure, maybe they weren't wrong but that didn't, that didn't give them the right to talk like that, right?
You weren't just thinking about yourself, right?
They wouldn't be disappointed in you for not trying to make ammends.
Right?
Fuck, you really should sober up, sober up and go home.
"Hey, you alright?"
Liv's sitting next to you now. You give a practiced smile, "Just need a little more water. I'll be fine."
"You're sure?" She waves over the bartender to get you another water and order another drink for herself.
You nod, "Positive. If I wasn't I wouldn't be here."
Lying through your teeth is somehow so much easier when you're drunk.
You drink another water, and don't feel any better. You just feel more, aware. Aware of how you don't fit in, how you're here because Pete took pity on you, how awful of a friend, a sibling, a daughter, a partner- No, not that last one, we're not getting into that mess tonight.
Has it really been that long since the last time you drank this much? You check the time, it's been an hour or two. You still had time. Fuck it, have another drink and try to have some fun. Something's gotta distract you from this feeling eventually, right?
When you check the clock again and realize it's 10:40, and it'll take at least twenty for an Uber to get here, you fumble for your phone and call Clara.
"Hey, I'm uh, gonna be home a bit later, is that okay?" You ask against the loudness of the room. You should have went outside instead of going to the quietest corner you could find, but you're kind of losing your logic.
You have to strain to hear her response, "Yeah, not an issue, I'm mid breath of the wild playthrough so time has no meaning to me."
"You've got breath of the wild? Jealous," Focus, you need to focus so you don't sound stupid, "Anyway, I'm guessing another hour or so, and if it gets too late you can stay over so you're not driving home so late."
"As long as you don't mind me gaming in the living room into the late hours of the night that's cool with me. What are you up to out of curiosity?"
You swallow, "Birthday party."
"Oh, Jacob's yeah? Savannah told me about it but since I was busy I couldn't swing by."
"Oh?" Why does that make you feel bad? Why do you feel so excluded now? That your coworker's sister got an invite and you didn't? Or did you get an invite and you forgot? Why do you care? You're not friends with Jacob. You’re not friends with these people out of work, really. Right?
"-speaking class."
You don't know what she just said, "Gotcha, gotcha. Well, I'll see you later tonight then."
"You got a ride?" You can just make out her button-mashing, followed by a sigh, "Sorry, if you've been drinking I mean."
"Yeah, I'll be good. Thanks."
After hanging up, you just stare down at your drink, then out to the dancefloor. You see everyone having such a great time, so why can't you? Why do you have to be like this? Why can't you just let yourself be happy? What does it take to make you relax and just, chill the hell out?
You haven't relaxed in months you realize. Not after what happened that night. Ironically, at the last Plex party you attended. If anything, you think being here, doing this, has just made everything that much worse.
You need to get out of here. You need to go somewhere else, do something else, be someone else.
Too bad you can't make that last one happen.
You finish your drink, and after a small head rush, walk over to where your friends? coworkers? are and say your goodbyes over the music.
"Hey, it was really good seeing you tonight!" Pete says, then nods to where Jacob's at on the dancefloor, "Jacob appreciated it for sure."
He's lying. He's just being nice because you're his boss.
Liv gives you a quick hug, "We should hang out outside of work more often. Maybe somewhere a bit more quiet."
She doesn't mean that. She's pitying you.
"Yeah, that'd be great!" You smile.
Tyler raises his fist and you bump it, "See you Monday, broski. Stay safe out there."
"Can do, have a good night guys."
"See you!" And "Be safe!" are shouted out behind you.
You believe the genuity of that. You may know that they hate you, but they're nice people.
Your feet walk you in the direction you don't want to be heading. Split between this impulse decision and just going home. But you can't make yourself go home, you can't go home, home just remind you of everything, and everything you're not-
The Daycare doors feel heavier than usual, which makes sense considering how much you've had tonight. Inside, you find it's, pretty much the same as usual, you don't know what all the fuss was over on Sun's part.
Speaking of, where is he?
You shuffle in, taking note of the small plastic tea cups and saucers sitting on a table that's been moved to the center of the space. Along with... snacks? Right, Chica's supposed to be here. Seems she hasn't shown up just yet.
You're trying to remind yourself why you came here as opposed to calling for a ride, when you hear the doors open again.
"Oh. You're back."
You turn, Sun is holding a tray with a teapot, and there is indeed, steam coming out of it. Now you know.
"Did you want something or are you just here to bother me?" He swiftly walks past you, setting the pot and tray down with pointed showmanship.
Something about his tone sets you off. Not unusual. But because you're not sober, you speak your mind in a way you otherwise wouldn’t. Unfortunately unusual.
"You know, starting to wonder that myself."
"Really now?" He speaks with a bored enthusiasm that grates on you.
"Yeah, really. You know, I don't sleep at night because of you," You shake your head, "My dreams are just, filled, with nothing but that night. Over and over again, it plays in my head. And you see, the worst part is that it's not even the idea of seeing him in that stupid machine. You know what keeps me up? You. And what you did to me," You take a deep breath, looking back to him, "And what I did to you."
Sun's rays tick a few times.
Then, "You're intoxicated."
"Yeah, no shit, glad you finally got up to speed."
"I'm just rather surprised you'd be interested in taking such risks again considering what happened to you last time."
You scoff, "Don't even try to pull that, I wasn't wasted, I had a concussion."
"I was referring to being at the Plex so late alone, Starshine," His gaze narrows, "But rest assured, you're increasing my concern the more you speak."
"Concern for what? Because we both know it isn't for me. And that's fine, shouldn't expect, don't deserve it. Even if I-" You stop yourself, you're not out of it enough for that, "I'll just give it to you straight; you have no reason to be concerned. For my siblings? They don't need me, Clara sees more of them than I do and she does a hell of a lot better job. My work? Someone else would fill the gap when I'm gone, my team's more than competent without me. My friends? They've got each other, or, or partners. And our little investigation? You," You slow down for a moment, "Well, I'm sure with that charming personality of yours you could trick another sorry sucker into helping you with ease."
You throw up your hands, laughing, "So, no need for concern here, Sunny. If something happens to me no one will notice!" Your face feels wet, "No one's going to fucking care. So, you can take your concern and shove it."
You bring a hand up to your face, confirming that you are crying, "Fuck, exactly what I needed to top off the night."
You sniff once, and then turn around, you seemed to get everything you'd wanted to say out of your system, maybe you can go home and be happy now. Or something.
"Why did you come here tonight?"
You pause, then laugh quietly, hand coming up to run through your hair, "Hell if I know."
A hand is set on your shoulder, one that makes you spin around. The motion slightly jogs you.
Sun's gaze is down at you, rays spinning once or twice but otherwise motionless.
"Stop that. I don't like being analyzed," You mutter, averting your eyes.
His other hand comes up to guide your focus back to him, "You're in no condition to go anywhere. Not right now."
You manage a half-hearted chuckle, "Give me some credit, Sun. I'm calling an uber as soon as I'm out of here."
You think if he could frown he would, instead, his eyes narrow and grip tightens just a tad, "Not wise. Not if you're alone. I suppose there's other options. Hold still. And don't look down."
"What are you-hey hey hey, what are you doing?" You argue, anger flaring momentarily as he takes hold of you, your feet coming out from under you as he lifts you into his arms.
Before you know it, you're up in the air, having to squeeze your eyes shut so you don't get dizzy from the change. You feel Sun land on solid ground again several seconds later.
"You say a word about anything and I'm putting you in the theater instead," A brief pause, "Or on a naptime mat down below."
You open your eye, "Wha-Oh."
"I mean it. Not. A. Word."
You put your hands up, "Okay, okay."
He didn't say anything about making private observations to yourself.
The Attendant's room is somehow exactly what you expected and not at all. Your first thought is organized. Your second thought is empty.
Clean also comes to mind, there's not a speck of dust in sight. You take note of the different standout features. An old, Hollywood style dresser with matching mirror and lights, string lights hang from the ceiling among the rafters. There's a set of cubbies containing spare toys, and some seemingly ongoing craft projects.
You spy your bean bag in a corner with a few others. There's also a large pile of blankets and stuffed animals, almost like a bed. Lying nearby you see a charging port.
The most interesting thing to you, however, is the green tube in the left wall, leading obviously to somewhere, you just don't know where exactly.
You don't get to find out, Sun sets you down on the blanket pile, and if you weren't so hypervigilant you'd sink right in, exhaustion is starting to hit you after the combination of drinking, yelling, and crying.
You hear a click and realize he's left the room. It's the perfect opportunity to snoop, but the desire for rest outweighs this urge. Besides, it's rude. And you're not that rude.
You feel like all you did was blink and he's back again. You rub your face and pat it a few times to try and wake up, glancing over to the bot.
"I've already taken the liberties of informing your babysitter that you will be home after several hours of sleep. And agreed upon compensation." Sun answers your look of concerned confusion by raising his hand with your phone, "You dropped it when I picked you up, she had asked about your well-being. You can check to confirm I did nothing else if that eases you."
The fact you can't recall that happening proves it's probably for the best he did that.
"God she's going to hate me," You groan, rubbing your face with both hands.
Sun sets your phone down beside you, and sits down in front of you, glass of water in one hand, "She does not. Drink."
You eye the glass with suspicion.
"Are you seriously debating whether I've tampered with it?"
"Should I not?"
A scoff, "It's a glass of water, I've done nothing to it."
"Sound like something someone who did something to it would say," You muse.
Another scoff, and he leans down, rays clicking, "If I was going to do something, Bright Eyes, it would have already been done. And need I remind you, I can't cause harm even if I wanted to."
"Fine," You huff, taking the cup and muttering as you sip, "I'm surprised they let you have glass."
No answer. You look over, eyebrows raised.
Then it clicks, "Ah. Contraband. Noted," You finish the glass and wipe your mouth, "Thank you."
"You're welcome."
No words for a bit, your head hurts, but this helps. That might be a good thing to bring up, you're not a fan of this kind of silence.
"Why did you help me? Or I guess, why are you actively, helping me?"
Sun shrugs, hands clasped in his lap. You expected a snarked out comment that you're strangely not receiving.
Then, "I'll get you another glass. You should rest in the meantime." He stands up, and in your current state the action panics you.
"Wait," You reach out, grabbing his arm, "Don't go. I'm, I don't want to be alone. Please." God, you sound pathetic.
You also realize what it is you're doing, and to whom, and you let go, "I, shit, sorry. Just, yeah just go get the water. I'll be fine."
You pull your knees up to your chest, controlling your breathing. You didn't need to start crying again. You're fine, you know you'll be fine.
A soft jingling sound interrupts your thoughts, and looking up you see Sun unwrapping one of the ribbons from his forearm, then his wrist. Once he's finished, the ribbon and bells piled in one hand, he holds it out to you.
You furrow your brow, but take the offering.
"It's the best way I can think of to assure you I'll be back. I'd look rather silly if I went around like this, right?" He waves both hands up by his face.
You sniff, "Yeah."
"And if you're truly, concerned, just ring, and I'll be here," He stands straight again, taking the glass, "I'll just be a moment."
"Ok."
He leaves the room, and you're alone.
Having nothing better to do, you lean back against the numerous pillows and stuffed animals behind you, hands clasping and resting on your chest.
You take note that the ceiling has a few glow in the dark stickers you recognize from the Daycare proper. Someone must've snatched the extras when they had the chance. The thought makes you laugh softly.
It also occurs to you then that Moon is additionally assisting in this, mess, you've created, given that the theater is probably dark, and you don't believe that door leads anywhere else.
You close your eyes, shame welling up in you. This is pathetic on your part. Truly and utterly. You're an adult, and you can't take care of yourself after a night of drinking? You can't manage to drink responsibly, avoid the typical stereotype and make a fool out of yourself saying shit you shouldn't? God, you're so-
You're being gently jostled awake, "You can't sleep like that, friend. You'll regret it." More quietly, "And he won't shut up about it, for that matter."
You open your eyes, they feel a tad heavy from the short nap you got. Your senses perk up however, when you smell something greasy yet heavenly. Pizza, currently in Sun's hand, soon to be in your stomach if you have anything to do with it.
"Thought you were just getting water," You say, as if you're not two seconds away from devouring that pizza whole.
He scoffs lightly, setting the pizza in front of you and handing you the water, "I had a feeling if I told you what I was doing it would only make things worse."
"You'd be right," You take a brief drink of water, then open the pizza box and grab a slice. It's divine. And you don't say that lightly when it came to Fazbear pizza.
You groan mid-bite, leaning back against the plushes behind you, "God, I wish you could taste how good this is right now. Like," You take another bite, "So frickin' good."
You're too focused on eating to overhear Sun laughing quietly at your antics. You managed to scoff down three slices before he takes it away from you.
He places it over on the dresser, "You'll get sick. And preferably, I'd rather not be cleaning up vomit at 1 am, if it's all the same to you."
"Just one more! Come on," You whine, then pause, eyebrows shooting up, "Oh I am not sober, that's for sure."
You realize Sun's staring at you, and your face heats up.
"Don't look at me like that, it just makes it worse," Your hands come up and cover your face.
At that Sun laughs. And maybe you're a bit out of it, but it doesn't sound mocking, or pretentious. It's genuine.
You feel a compulsion to right your wrongs from earlier, or at the very least, try to.
"I'm, I'm sorry for what I said. You didn't deserve that."
"I don't accept." Sun states.
You cringe, and nod, "Fair."
He chuckles, "I don't accept, because it wasn't directed at me. You may have said those words at me, but I think we both know their true target."
You think for a moment, nodding solemnly, "Helen."
"Who? I-" He shakes his head, "Starlight, I meant yourself."
"Oh. That makes a bit more sense." You decide to give him a bit more context to save some trouble, "She runs the PTA. My third worst enemy, behind you, and Grab Ass. You got a Katie Chase in that little directory of yours?"
"Yes? But-oh. That one."
Your brows raise for a moment, "Wow, I've never heard you speak with that much disdain before."
"We all have limits, friend," His tone shifts, like he's about to boil over with rage, "We all have limits..."
You yawn, and his attention shifts. He motions for you to take off your shoes and the likes, and you get the hint. You lay back into the bed-you're pretty sure there's a mattress buried under here somewhere, feels like it-letting loose another yawn.
Sun takes one of the blankets and tosses out over you, it falls slowly down on top of you. Then, he bends down and presses his smile to your forehead, pulling back after a moment and patting your head.
"What was that for?"
His rays spin, eyes widening a fraction. Seems he's just now realizing what he did, "An unfortunate matter of programming. One I'm hoping you'll forget by morning."
You scoff, smile on your lips, "That's not how being drunk works, you know. Only if you've drank a lot."
That seems to relax him.
"So explain it to me then," He sits at the end of the blanket pile, "I'm curious."
You sit up slightly to make eye contact with him, "Really? All the stuff you could learn about and that's what piques your interest?"
He nods.
You stare at him a moment, then lay back down, "I mean, alright. Do my best here."
You explain. Sun asks you a question every now and then. You just, talk. You talk to each other for, awhile it feels like. You talk until your throat starts to get sore. You, you haven't spoken with someone like this in a long time. Long enough you can't remember when the last time you did was.
You start to get tired and Sun notices immediately. He mutters a brief goodnight to you, and the lights are shut off soon thereafter.
You roll over to your side to watch Moon appear.
"Thank you. Both of you," You say, as he walks back over to you, "You didn't have to do all this, it's, appreciated."
He nods, "You are welcome."
A sudden realization hits you as sleep begins to take over.
"My stuff..." You mutter, "I, left my stuff back in the West Arcade, if it's not stolen already."
Moon stands, "I'll retrieve it for you. Will you be alright?"
You sleepily raise your hand, bells jingling in your grasp, "Got these. And I'm a bit more sober now. I'll be okay."
Moon nods, "Then I'll return shortly."
"I might be asleep by then," You yawn, "So I'll preemptively say thank you, and goodnight."
"Goodnight, Diana. Sweet Dreams."
You huff lightly, "What, no goodnight kiss?"
It takes you all of 0.5 seconds to realize what you just said.
"Oh goddammit-"
Moon leans down, and presses a kiss to your forehead, his tone cheeky as he pulls away again, "Is that satisfactory, your highness?"
Your face is hot with embarrassment but you refuse to lose.
"'Twas," You turn over and away so he can't see your wide-eyed 'holy shit' stare, "But I'll have you know that I'm not that demanding when I drink. This was a one-time thing. Won't happen again."
"Of course not."
You snuggle further under the blanket, mumbling, "It won't. I mean it. It was a stupid mistake. One that's going to haunt me for a while."
Quiet. You feel him sit down beside you, "Everyone makes mistakes, Icarus. It's how we learn from them that matters."
"Trust me, I know."
A hand on your shoulder presses down and makes you lay back on your back. You stare up into red eyes, narrowed with concern down at you. The gaze makes you uncomfortable. You try to brush it off.
"I don't need a pity party, Moon. I gave myself enough of one earlier."
He tilts his head, "It's funny how you always assume care to be pity. I wonder why that is?"
You're about to say it, and play it off as a joke, but he beats you to the punch.
"Well, it's not fair to speculate. So I'll just tell you, you don't have to suspicious of such with me. Or either of us for that matter," His focus goes back on you, "We mean what we say."
You raise a brow questioningly.
"For the most part, I should say."
You chuckle, "Yeah, I know."
"Your friends mean what they say too, you know. They care about you. As does your family. It's obvious to anyone that sees it. You just simply need to allow yourself to." He pokes your forehead.
You sigh, looking up to the ceiling briefly, "Oh, that's a lot harder than it sounds, Moon-man."
"I never suggested otherwise. I merely intended to remind you."
"I've been reminded," You smile slightly, "And I'll do my best to continue to do so."
"You'll have assistance." You can't tell if that's a tease, a threat, or a promise. You'll just be on the safe side and assume all three.
You smirk, "Goodnight, Moon. For real this time."
"Goodnight, Andromeda. For real." He rises from the bed, giving a quick two-finger salute.
You snicker, shake your head, and close your eyes.
A few moments later you hear the jingle of bells fade out into the Daycare itself.
Your hand clutches the bells and ribbon in your hand a tad tighter, and you feel yourself start to drift off into sleep.
You find yourself awake some time, you're guessing, much later. Your head isn't nearly as heavy, and you feel as if you slept for at least a decent amount of time.
Groggily, you fumble for your phone, finding that it's been about three hours since you fell asleep.
You become keenly aware of someone staring at you, and scanning the room find Moon staring down at you from the rafters.
Normally, this would be an alarming sight at 4 in the morning, for you and your half-asleep mind, it arouses mild surprise.
"Why are you awake?" He asks.
You sit up, fumbling for the glass beside you, "I become very awake in the hours after drinking," You gulp down the glass, "For a very short period of time. I'll probably start feeling tired again in a few minutes."
You wipe your mouth and look up to the Attendant, "Why were you watching me?"
Moon shrugs, "Bored."
"Yeah right," You scoff, "Not with the amount of shit you get into on the regular. What's your real reason, sport?"
"Sport?" He asks.
You wave your hand, "It's a combination of sleepiness and leftover drunkenness, just ignore it and save me some embarrassment."
"Noted."
"You didn't answer the question. Don't think I didn't notice," Your arm moves jankily as you point your finger at him.
His faceplate spins, "We simply wanted to ensure you were alright."
"We? That's a shocker. I'm surprised he isn't having a hissy fit about you making such an implication."
There's a bout of binary before Moon answers with a sigh, "He is now."
You giggle, "Sorry."
Quiet for a few moments.
"Your belongings are located beside you," Moon points to where your bag sits on the floor not too far from the bed, "They appeared to be in order, though I can't say for certain."
Your eyes widen for a moment before you nod your head slowly, "Oh yeah, forgot about that. Thanks."
Moon nods.
"Sorry if I um, ruined your evening plans."
The Naptime Attendant chuckles, "Plans? What is it that you think we get up to, Pandora?"
"You know what I mean, I know you don't just sit and stare at the wall for hours until open," You shrug, "You explore, fuck around with your mechanics, which I don't approve of still," You send him a scolding glare, then continue, "Sun has gossip night with Chica, seems to be a bit crafty as well."
Moon whistles, or plays the sound, at least, "Impressive."
"Yeah, yeah," You wave him off, yawning.
"Seems you've expended your remaining energy."
You settle back into bed, "Getting there."
"Anything I can do to help?" He asks, shifting position to hang upside down from the beam, feet hooked over the other side.
You scoff lightly, "You, aiding those in desperate need of rest? I don't buy it."
"It's my specialty." He insists, and you both quietly laugh.
"Want me back to bed that bad, huh?" You ask, hands clasping on your chest while you stare up at him, thinking.
"Have any good bedtime stories?"
His faceplate spins, "More than you'd imagine."
"Pick one for me then, and I think that'll do the trick," You nod once, affirmingly.
"Very well."
He starts, voice smooth, soft. Really, perfect for storytelling if you're being honest. It helps your mind to settle again, and well before the end, you're asleep again.
Waking up the next morning, you find yourself face to, back? with a yellow animatronic.
Sitting up, you see Sun is slouched beside the bed, facing away from you. Examining him more closely you see there's a charging cord plug into the back of his head.
Curiously, you reach out to poke him.
"I'd appreciate the ability to recharge in peace, friend."
You jump back, cursing under your breath.
Then, you huff, "There's no way you could tell what I was going to do."
"No, but a bot can have his suspicions," He turns to look back at you, "And plenty of mine have been right about you."
"'Plenty of mine have been right about you.'" You mock quietly.
"How are you feeling?"
You sigh, shrugging, "Fine. Maybe a little hungover. I'll live, if you were worried."
"I wasn't," He retorts as you snicker, "But good to know."
You nod to the charging cable, "Thought the two of you switching kept you from using that too often."
At this, Sun flusters. Taking a moment to articulate himself.
"Typically. However, Moon felt-" A bit of binary, before doubling down, "Moon felt it would be unfair to have the lights on in any manner of speaking while you slept. So they remained off throughout the night."
You muse on the words for a minute, nodding thoughtfully. Inside, part of you is overjoyed, and the other is a mixture of shocked and maybe touched? You're not going to think on it further. Point is, Sun gave up his hours-willingly or unwillingly-to give you the chance to sleep.
"Well, it's appreciated," You reach up and flick his forehead, narrowly dodging around him to grab your phone as he shoos you away.
He grumbles a response you don't catch.
Checking the time, it's around 8 am. Looking at your messages, Sun told Clara you'd be home by 10. Yikes. Good to know how little faith he had in you. Well, best not waste it.
You stretch, giving a final yawn, "This place have a breakfast special? Feel like I swear I've heard about it at least once."
"It does, but I'll inform you it's not one that's served in bed."
"Relax. I can take care of myself just fine now," You throw off the blanket and stand up, "I'll be back. Hold down the fort in the meantime, yeah?"
Sun sputters, a "What?" As you pat him briefly on the back and march out of the room, on the prowl for food to satisfy your hunger.
Once you find it, you sneak your way back into the Daycare. The Plex is still pretty much abandoned at this point in the morning, but you don't want to have to explain yourself if you don't have to.
Walking in, you plop down on the bed beside Sun and dig into your breakfast sandwich. Either you're much more hungover than you thought, or this is delicious. Potentially, both.
"Sorry you missed out on your shit talking session," You say between bites, "As a fellow disgruntled employee I know how important those can be."
Sun scoffs.
You turn to look at him, "And thanks for taking care of me. It's appreciated."
This appears to surprise him, rays ticking to one side, "You're welcome."
"You're not the worst person I've ever met, you know," You take another bite, "Up there, but you have your good qualities."
"That means the world coming from you," He says, hand on his chest and voice syrupy sweet.
You nod, "I know."
He huffs, it turns into a laugh after a moment.
"You're not the worst person I've met, either," His gaze meets yours, "Not as much as you believe yourself to be."
You pause, surprised. Then, you swallow, coughing, "T-thanks."
He turns away again. You continue to eat.
A thought crosses your mind.
"You know, if you were really worried about the light, you could've just closed the curtains."
Sun freezes. Then, he sighs, heavily. Hand coming up to run down his face before falling into his lap.
"Yes. I suppose that would have, been an option."
You burst out laughing, which only grows as the two attendants seem to argue back and forth with each other.
As you bask in the moment, you find yourself thinking back.
Yeah, you weren't perfect, but you cared. A lot. And you think that says a lot. Means a lot.
To someone, at least.

Well, you can probably see now why this bad boy was scrapped as a chapter. Believe me I had the full intentions of saving it, but I'll admit once I saw an out by using it as a one-shot I jumped on it lol
I don't know if it's everything that I wanted, but I think I hit the main points I'd originally set out to.

03:14 — all these little things...
IWAIZUMI HAJIME was someone you look up to. He was considerate and knows how to take care of the people around him. Someone that even the teachers can rely on.
He’s an admirable person that you didn't even wonder why he’s always surrounded by people—especially your fellow students.
When you heard that there was an available spot in the volleyball team as a manager, you immediately took off and tried your luck.
But who would've thought that this would take you several hours before actually managing to stand in front of table where the coach and the members were at.
Once you met the gaze of the team's coach, you stood frozen on the spot. You could feel the forming of cold sweat on your forehead, but you tried to remain calm.
“See you tomorrow,” Coach Irihata said before calling the attention of one of the reserve players.
Your body shook before you even managed to respond to what the coach had said.
EVER SINCE THAT DAY, you were able to spend most of your free time with the team. You were there to assist them with menial task, and you were also there to cheer them up after their match with Shiratorizawa.
“We're almost at the end of the line,” Oikawa suddenly said while your friend group was walking you home. “What are your plans?”
“Oi, Oikawa, are you nervous?” Maki joked.
“You're not scared of Ushijima, are you?” Mattsun added while grinning.
“Leave me alone!” Oikawa began before ranting about how much he loathed ‘those geniuses.’
You watched the three of them from behind as they create ruckus in a quiet street. Although it was already nighttime, you weren't that worried to stay behind them.
All thanks to him. Hajime.
“Now that I think about it, have you finally decided the course you'll be taking in college?”
You glanced at him.
“Well, I'm not sure yet,” you responded. “How about you? Will you still be playing in college?”
He looked at you with a smile.
“I think I'm going overseas. I'm not sure though if I'll be playing in a competitive level, but I am sure that I won’t abandon this game.”
“I wonder what would happen to us in the future.” You both look at the three dorks walking ahead of you two. “Especially since that guy who's deadset on following his idol overseas.”
“Hm... I wonder too.”
SEVERAL YEARS LATER, you found yourself in a bar, sitting in a stool while watching the match between Hajime and Oikawa.
As the announcers were introducing the players who might turn the tides during the game, they started to mention some information that touched the sore spots in your team’s heart.
You chuckled while listening to Maki and Yahaba's response.
Who would've thought that Iwaizumi would become the trainer of Japan's National Volleyball Team?
“Ah... you still have that sparkling eyes,” Maki pointed out, making everyone in your group turn to you. “He's been here for awhile now, but you still haven't told him yet?”
“Oh, what's this? Is manager looking at a certain trainer that barely got his own screentime?” Mattsun added with a grin.
“Leave me alone you two.”
You lifted the mug of beer, a poor attempt in hiding your embarrassment.
When did they caught on? You were sure that you were able to hide your feelings towards Hajime for so long. You were keeping yourself in check for years.
So, how...?
“I won't spoil anything, but... I don't think anything could go wrong if you tell him about your feelings.”
You look at Maki who kept his gaze on the screen.
“He's not that dense, you know.”
For some reason, their words started to make sense.
“I-Is that why he's avoiding me?” you asked, looking at Maki, then at Mattsun. “I messed up, didn't I? Oh no...”
Before you know it, you were already on your way back to the hotel where you're staying at with the rest of your friend group.
Maki and Mattsun, feeling guilty and responsible for your drunkenness, decided to stay with you. Making sure that you won't do anything stupid.
“What will I do if Iwaizumi push me away? Should I change everything? My face, my name? But I like my name!”
Unfortunately for them, you were that kind of drunk.
“This is why I told you to stop them from drinking too much.”
You weren't sure if you're tripping, but you could hear his stern voice in your room. You tried to stsy still as you hide underneath the blanket, but Iwaizumi already know where you are.
He also watched you hide underneath the blanket.
“They're a mess when they're this drunk.” Then, you heard him sigh. “Let me get some things. I'll take care of them.”
However, before he could even take a step further, you began to wail.
“Waaaaah! He really hates me now... What should I do? He's leaving me behind...”
You were more than just a mess.
“Hajime don't leave! I don't like you anymore. I... hic... promise...” you shouted while sobbing.
Hajime sighed while shaking his head.
“I'll take care of her,” he told the two before walking towards you.
The mattress near where you were sitting on dipped. With swollen eyes, you looked at him.
“Ha... jime...”
“Silly,” he whispered as he wiped your tear-stained cheeks with his rough fingertips. “I told you to stay sober until after the game, but you didn't listen.”
You look down on your fingers, but Hajime was quick to cup your cheeks and made you meet his gaze.
“You probably don't know how much I like you.”
Your heart flutter.
“From that moment you sheltered those kittens on that rainy afternoon, to the day you started to stay with us through all those ups and downs as our manager...”
Tears began to form in your eyes once again.
“My feelings only grew over the years. Even during those years when I was studying in the US. You were the only one in my heart all these years.”
You started to wipe your own tears, but it seems like your tearducts have no intention of stopping those tears from running down your cheeks.
“I thought I was the only one who felt that way...” you sobbed.
Once again, you heard him chuckled before feeling his warm embrace around you.
“Silly,” he said. “But I love all these little things about you.”
