Have any other Galladay shippers gone diving into HSR lore cause you're a little too obsessed with the game and ended up thinking about how you could create parallels between not only Sunday and Dominicus, but also Gallagher and Aelenev (and that you could make it gay)? Or is it just me who's spending too much time wishing we had more lore about the Harmonic Strings?
Putting my ramblings under the cut cause it's long and there's some spoilers in case anyone still hasn't finished the Penacony quests
Sunday and Dominicus, that's pretty obvious. It's the Wisher of the Harmonious Choir that he attempts to bring forth at the Charmony Festival, using his power as well as the Order to spread Ena's influence among all those slumbering within Penacony. When talking about Dominicus, "A Hymn of Charmonic Strings" says "Prayers you suckle from the millions gathered here, and the masses' heartstrings you play," which could very well allude to Sunday's plan of placing everyone into the most perfect dreams they could wish for, dreams they would never wish to wake from. And like, apparently the name Sunday is even derived from Dominicus or something, according to the etymology notes on the HSR wiki page.
But that same readable mentions Aelenev, the Commander of the Eternal Centurion, and first of all that's just a cool fucking name in general. Second of all, there's several points that can stand out when looking upon the full section of the hymn,
"O, Great One of Paradise, Caress this scripture that is stained by blood on the battlefield, and kiss my longsword of bone and soul, Life is howling, and the sharp blade of streaming colors hangs high. Aelenev, do you hear? The soldiers' bones are buried at the end of the world. Comrades' whisper united, and the gospel can be heard for miles long, Blissful rain pours out thus, and one person equals to thousands. Thought they be the invincible steeds and death, they too long for their home deep in their soul."
The main part that I choose to look at is "one person equals to thousands," as there's lots of ways that could be interpreted. There is, of course, the fact that the Family is basically a hivemind, and also how Aelenev was summoned on one occasion and his sword was "unsheathed from the scabbard of 4,630,000 Hounds" which I take to mean as sort of manifested from their collective minds and wills, so to speak. Similar to how Gallagher is a lie manifested from the traits of 52 loyal Family members, no? And longing for a home deep in their soul, soldiers' bones that have been buried, a scripture stained by blood, I personally think that those could easily be taken as references to Mikhail, the revolution that led to Penacony being formed in the first place, and how Gallagher misses those he used to know. Or maybe not references, but they certainly could hold a similar meaning. I don't know, I'm not a fucking literature major or anything, I study animals and nature. This is just me being a massive nerd on the internet.
Anyways, this is mostly just to wonder if anyone else has/is thinking of using these parallels to make really gay stuff. Sunday should get more weird and fucked up with his affection in fics, because I think it would be really fun to see. Have him call Gallagher "my Aelenev" or something, make him want to craft Gallagher into a wonderful embodiment of the Harmony the same way as he attempted to usurp Dominicus' power. Get weird with it!
Or hey go a step further and make yaoi about the Harmonic Strings themselves. I'd do it. I'd fucking do it. I'm insane about this game's lore sometimes.
Also: Robin could be a parallel for Constantina, the singer of the Panacoustic Theater. That just leaves Beatriz, the merrymaker of the Blissful Ball, who I suppose could be parallel to Sparkle? Not to say that all four of them need to be represented by members of the Penacony cast, I'm just coming up with random thoughts about it.

i love how you slander yansim characters bc they're wayyy too true
can you slander kencho next...
i wanna hear what you have to say
🎤
Wow, what do we have: another useless Saikou family member. Fork spotted in the kitchen come on guys why are you even surprised.
Tumblr media
Hear me out: give up on your dreams and die. Being the youngest child of a eugenist inheritance-based is a one-way ticked to bassically internal death. At this point you should just befriend Fun Girl and rot in the folders since you don't serve any other purpose then just to fill Megami's description
Wait... you do serve a purpose! What is that purpose again? Ops, same as we talked before: to kill Megami with Ayano. Shit, thought we were getting something interesting about you since you're bassically the "back-up" but no no no we can't have good things here. This is Yandere Simulator after all!
Dear Kencho, one word is written all over you: plot-device. A character, one that seems pretty major needs to do these two things: to entertain the audience and to move the plot forward. If you entertain the audience but don't move the plot, congrats, you're useless. If you move the plot without entertaining them then congrats to you too, you're a plot device. We get it, you have many internal struggles does the audience really care? Do I really need to see him trying to justify internalized misoginy cause "ohhh he does not like his big sis 🥺". At this point the inferiority complex is justified. I say that because you just don't really have stuff of your own to show off. To prove my point even further, your wiki page, the one dedicated STRICTLY to you has just 5 rows. 5 rows of personality. Just as many as a student at Akademi. Wouldn't have been bad if he wasn't shown as the bastard who litterally takes part in the killing of the final boss! You're meant to just kill Megami. And it ends here. Does he regret it? No the fuck he does not because this is Yandere Simulator and everyone in this game is a fucking piece of trash!
So why even bother to slander a bland piece of paper... He doesn't entertain me or anyone else even tough he's supposed to do that. Wasted character even tough we had like a shit ton of years to develop him.
♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎♠︎
(P.S: He also reeks of misoginy.)

Amanda's misguidance.
I was doing bad- Then I saw a THIRSTY ass post and began giggling (if you can assume who you are, thanks I guess!) but I'll still speak my weewoo brain. (Ok! I never posted this back then, this has been sitting for maybe a week, but the thirsty post was someone's dream.) (WEEKS NOW) I think uh, one of the things that really gets to me about Amanda's character is truly how misguided she was. I know a lot of what I'm going to say has been talked about and all that jazz but I don't really care... This is my rambling not yours. Anyway, she didn't have any solid parental figures even before John. We know that her dad was abusive/neglectful and her mother is never mentioned, not to my knowledge. I've kinda headcannoned her parents as addicts as well, obviously addiction and things such as it can run through families. (Saw X has now highlighted how terrible her father is even more) The wiki page for Amanda Young
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is where her self destructive nature began developing, the lack of care and love but an abundance of neglect and abuse resulting in her not really knowing how to take care of herself or others. I'm not saying she can't love or care for things either, but she doesn't know the correct way of doing so. Amanda loved John, that is a very clear thing. I don't think she knows how to handle her love or where to pinpoint it however. In the sense that she's not experienced parental love, friendships or romantic relationships- Not ones at least that weren't with people who were as down under as her, so I don't count Cecil.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She sees John as a father figure, a leader and a teacher. John is her only guide to life, somebody who set her on a path, even if it wasn't the right one. Amanda is indebt to him for ''helping'' her, even if it's up for debate whether he truly did help, Amanda's drug addiction was by far not her only issue if you look at the bigger picture. She clung to him like a lifeline, even when he hurt her, made her do things she didn't truly believe she could. We know she feels guilt for killing Adam due to the deleted scene where she has a nightmare about him and we also have the fact it was a ''mercy'' killing in the first place. Amanda is tested repeatedly and we also have to acknowledge around the start of her becoming an apprentice, she was going cold turkey, which the symptoms for are horrible. However, she still kept loyal to John and his cause, other people going through such a thing are quick to tell their closest family members they hate them or even ''backstab'' them in pursuit of a fix. Amanda doesn't. Even later on, she never turns back to drugs, instead going back to using self harm as a coping mechanism. I don’t believe the ''love'' she has for John is one sided either, I think he does care for her in his own way, but his self righteous nature at times doesn't let him fully give the support and tenderness Amanda needs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It makes you wonder what Amanda could of been had she found somebody else who could give her direction, a cause. Somebody prepared to have her as a first priority over their ideology. Where would she be? Could she function in society or would she crush under the pressure. She's never been ''evil'' to me or a cold hearted villain like other horror icons. Amanda is a severely traumatized mentally ill woman, one who kills and tortures due to the fact the only person she has in the world is telling her it's the right thing. Of course, some people will argue that she purposely makes her traps basically impossible, so she isn't even fully listening to John and his beliefs but that's because of how misguided she is.
Tumblr media
She DID survive her trap and look at her. Obviously, it also comes from the fact she believes people can't change but you can't really blame her for that either. The amount of death and torment she's been subjected to lasted her a lifetime and was her death, no peace. And even in death? She was reaching for John. Because even with all the pain he put her through, mentally and physically, she loved him. Her saviour who caused so many of her wounds and left others to get infected.
Tumblr media
Misguided to the very end.

DRAGON FIVE: Lee Chung-Yoon (+ Lee Jin-Sung)
Tumblr media
CHUNG-YOON <333333
...He matters a lot to me ok. I actually discovered him thanks to the Random Page button on the wiki (I needed to make some Sims back in 2020), so my attachtment to him is slightly longer than the overall bench. Though it is interesting that as I was actually writing a setting for him, a japanese fan made me realize something about this player that, well... Changed my whole view about him, for better or worse.
However, there's a little catch, and there's an extra character here, Fire Dragon's Coach Lee Jin-Sung. I already spoiled the reason why, but I'm going to develop on it further here.
Enjoy!
Both Chung-Yoon's parents work at the same hospital. His father is a nurse, and his mother a doctor. He mostly has to rely on his grandparents for care at the moment.
Like his profile says, he's very praised for his well care of the elders, including those of his own family. In fact, we could also say she's the actual caretaker of his grandparents instead. Some appreciate the detail and patience he has with old people, and his father often wonders if he could work as a nurse in the future. However... Let's say that's only one side of the coin.
...CY lives a double life, pretty much. While at home he's gentle and silent, at school he's a literal beast. Not only he's cold and asocial, but he's also extremely aggresive, often getting in trouble with the local bullies and delincuents of the class. All hidden from the adults and teachers of course; there are many, many street fights that Chung-Yoon participated AND won.
...It is actually unknown if CY does actually like this brute lifestyle or not. But it seems he at least tries very hard to cover it up from his parents -and specially his elders-.
...My reasoning to this whole HC comes from his actual hissatsu lineup, in which Breakthrough 2 is included. He's the only FD member to have it, you're welcome.
youtube
The only one who knows about his secret life however is Lee Jin-Sung, the FD coach. In my setting, he is the step-brother of Chung-Yoon's dad, as their parents married when they were young. So he's technically his uncle, even if they don't look that similar.
When CY was called to the selection, some controversy sparked upon making the connection; even making people accuse Jin-sung of nepotism. Since he doesn't seem to have any children able to play, why not use his brother's one instead?
This does cause Chung-Yoon to be seen down by other korean players and the media, often disregarding his actual soccer skills. And hell, even CY himself starts to have his own worries over why was he the one choosen for FD. But no matter what how many times the confronts the coach, he always gets the same answer from Jin-Sung: "There's a hidden potential in you, but you have to realize it".
Similarly to Ji-Nan, Chung-Yoon also uses football to express his anger away, unfortunately with a very aggresive playstyle involving way too many tackles to the opponent. And maybe few red cards. Maybe as the tournament progresses he'll eventually to find other ways to play without causing unnecessary harm.
At least, not everything with Chung-Yoon is always pain or harm. When practice is over he likes to spend his time window shopping, specially around those streets that sell unique things. Most of the time he'll do it alone, but in rare occassions he'll get to do it with one of his teammates.
Regarding them... Let's just say that CY isn't an unknown name at all, specially for the FD players that live in his same city; so -almost- everyone is aware of what Chung-Yoon can do if he gets angry. Because of that, nobody ever tries to take that risk.
I think the only time it went south with him was with Nagumo Haruya, I wouldn't be surprised if his atitude got onto CY's nerves. If it wasn't for both Aphrodi and Chang-Soo, chances were that Nagu wouldn't have survived until the Inazuma Japan match.
As for the bench, I think he gets so and so with them. Not bad, but its true that deep down Ji-Nan and the others are terrified of him, so they always have to watch their step whenever Chung-Yoon is nearby. Well, maybe not Hyeon-Dae. He treats him like he'd treat everyone, be it for ignorance or by innocence. At least CY takes it well, it seems...
One last player that treats him surprisingly nice too is Cho Myong-Ho. Yes, CY is intimidating, but look at those kicks! There's a formidable taekwondo rival hidden within! During the whole FFI he begged CY again and again to at least have a versus together, though it was never accepted from the bencher. Maybe it is for the best.
And with that, all the benchers who were clearly vissible on the anime have been covered :D

not sure if anyone here or or elsewhere in newer websites has mentioned this already but.... technically, isn't Tomoe Ame also a "two first names" kind of name? I don't think anyone assumes either name is her last name tho if they've read the comic... Now i'm thinking about going down this thread of thought to see what I find, just out of curiosity, since I've seen different stuff said about her name specifically.
I know she's named after a candy Stan once liked as a child called Tomoe Ame (トモエ飴) but also loosely on Tomoe Gozen, a real-life samurai who lived during the late Heian period and took part in the conflict that led to the first shogunate. I think some sources also say that while Tomoe "is her given name, Ame is her family name" - like this info page of the UY RP game in the HERO System Role--playing game.
But I wonder if older Usagi fans have brought this up about her name before? Or had arguments about it?
There is this Talk page, dating from 2005 and 2008 under the Wikipedia page for UY characters;
Tumblr media
"Ok, so "Ame" is her given name and "Tomoe" is her family name? I thought it was the other way around." (2005)
"Ok, that's backwards. See her official bio page:" (2005)
"But her bio reads "Ame Tomoe"..." (2008)
The Usagi Yohimbo fanwiki also has this trivia (as do other similar "fandom.com" wikis:
"Sakai claims to have based the character's appearance on female Japanese martial arts star Etsuko Shiomi, a member of Sonny Chiba's "Japan Action Club"."
But I cannot find this info or sources for these so I will have to check these later when I'm less tired x3 Basically, when it comes to fanwiki's, you can't always trust them. Having been a sole moderator for another fanwiki for years, I know just how many people like to add misinfo or their own headcanons or other things they've heard onto official/unofficial wikis, meaning most trivia without some source (like even what book or episode it was mentioned in), is a bit useless info in many cases. Sometimes I think that maybe I should make a Samurai Rabbit fanwiki, just to have one with legit info and have one new place to discuss things about the show itself but.... lol i am so tired of fandomcom wikis haha
Here is the official cast page info about her btw:
https://www.usagiyojimbo.com/the-cast/
"Tomoe Ame is an anthropomorphic cat who is loosely based on the famous female samurai, Tomoe Gozen.[7][8] (Tomoe Ame is also a brand of Japanese candy.) She is a samurai of the Geishu clan and serves as Lord Noriyuki's personal bodyguard and closest adviser. She also happens to be a very close friend of Miyamoto Usagi, whom she and Lord Noriyuki first met in the story "Lone Rabbit And Child" (from "Book #1: The Ronin"), as they were being pursued by assassins that Lord Hikiji hired to kill the young lord. Usagi was able to help protect Lord Noriyuki as they made their way back to the Geishu manor, even when Tomoe almost died from drowning in a fast-moving river after being attacked by an assassin disguised as a ferryman. After recovering, she has become very grateful to Usagi, and the two have helped each other out many times since. In the events of "Book #4: The Dragon Bellow Conspiracy", Tomoe was captured by a villainous lord after discovering his scheme to assassinate the Shogun, and it was up to Usagi to rescue her. Even though Usagi and Tomoe have been very good friends as well as partners in combat, it is believed that the two have deep feelings for each other that go beyond mere friendship, as seen in the story "Chanoyu" ("Book #22: Tomoe's Story"). However, recently, Lord Noriyuki is preparing to form an arranged marriage between her with another lord. An animated version of Tomoe Ame appears in an episode of the 2003 TMNT animated series "The Real World - Part 1".\"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So not much about the name again besides what already knew before haha ^^;
I'm still waiting for the Tomoe Ame book to come back in storage at my local book shop so I can order it, but until then, I'll probably slowly continue reading UY where I can and start a list for info shared abt the characters in the books.

I haven't read the books yet so I'm a big newbie when it comes to the Dune story, but I've managed to pick up on *some* info regarding the world building from wiki pages and yeah, regarding the character arcs I feel like the movie cut off way too much than what it could've had regarding the characters. Oddly enough the most moving part for me aside from the Duke's death and how even in the catatonic state he was in, mourned his family, was Paul's visions moment. I still don't know how I'll get around to feeling about his character later on (I do know that you're not supposed to think he's a hero or is right at all), but I feel like *that* moment established how what's to come for him will not be good in the slightest. I feel like they could've easily made it more positive or less ominous if they wanted to, and it would've helped to establish him as an actual savior (though obviously a white one) if they wanted that, but the music and his obvious distress over it just made it clear that what the potential future for him will be is /not good/. And granted, I don't want to excuse him by saying "well this is what he's meant to do" because frankly he could've allowed himself to die in his battle with Jamis! Like if you know that so many of the visions you get are not good then maybe it IS better for you to go! But nope, he doesn't.
I am sad to hear that Jessica and the Duke's emotional bond and trust was a more watered down version of the book because the concept sounds really intriguing. Because technically she IS supposed to be manipulating him from the start by making sure that she has his child for future political treaties through a marriage and she has to give him a daughter for this, but ends up giving him a son because she loves him? Whereas in the movie I feel like the mother superior telling her "you're so proud of yourself you think you could bring the holy messiah to earth" kind of made it look like she did it more for herself than because she loved Duke so much that she was willing to "betray" her superior and her teachings for this. Idk how Jessica will handle the role Paul will get later on I guess but what I could see from the movie is that she def loves him as her kid, and not just as this actual supposed superior being. I kind of wish we just got more scenes between Paul and the Duke because I feel like that relationship lacked more emotional depth and nuance? In comparison to Paul and Jessica as son and mother, but idk if they're just more distant in the books so this is how it's supposed to be. Regarding the other characters I VERY much agree with Yueh's betrayal feeling lackluster. Idk how it is in the book but his role felt kind of subpar that when it happened, while the overthrowing was grandiose on a cinematic scale, on a personal one, it wasn't as good? Like he just seemed a more distant character from the family members and the fact that he did it because he wanted to save his wife isn't really shown enough for an audience member to feel for his character more. He's essentially trapped and he did it because it was either his wife or this family but like....it all happens so suddenly that by the time he's dead you're kind of 😐 about it.
This ask is too damn long and I'm sorry, but yeah my basic 2 cents as a newbie.
Okay I love the energy of this long ass ask.
I wasn't totally feeling Paul's vision--except for the shot of him and Chani above Caladan (so ominous)--but I'm glad it worked for you! I think they could've done more to make Paul's trajectory more clearly evil if that was what they were going for, but it did feel ambiguous. I didn't get a triumphant/heroic impression of the Atreides, especially not from the Fremen. Personally, Leto's singular tear really did me in.
Jessica and Leto's relationship in the book was a major emotional anchor for me, so I too was disappointed by their depiction. Removing the "traitor in the house" plot also removed the implicit, deep trust Jessica, Paul, and Leto had in each other and their allies despite all the other fuckery they get into. There was so much more going on between just Jessica and Leto, let alone how they delegate their people. The movie didn't impress upon us how coveted, talented, and integral Bene Gesserit are to the galaxy, which in turn definitely impacted Jessica's relationships and the way she drove the plot. I die for complex marriages whose conflict doesn't come from infidelity or abuse. Also women with powers and dark agendas.

(I can ask less if you're getting overwhelmed) I don't honestly know much about the internal structure of suna. Could you outline the power structure, in as much or as little detail as you please? My fic needs it and you're waaaay more interesting then the wiki pages. Also are there any other named players in the village who have political influence or who helped during the shift in power?
Hahaha I'm glad I'm more interesting than the wiki pages, I try 😤. So yeah lemme lay it out for you as best I can.
Like everything else with Suna, we know pretty much nothing and so I have accumulated my knowledge from the other mods and I painstakingly researching through 500 different wiki pages some of which provide conflicting information with one another and then trying to tie things together where we could. I've seen a few things describe Suna as a monarchy and I will say that is completely incorrect based on the information we do have. I assume this comes from there being a thing on some wikis called "Kazegake Family" which is false. There is no canonical implication at all that any of the kazekage are related and in fact they all tend to look extremely different from one another. The only two related as far as we are aware are Gaara and Rasa. Monarchy doesn't necessarily need to be hereditary, which is the most common type of monarchy, as far as I'm aware. Basically, being a monarchy means one person has complete control and power when ruling. This would be closer to Konohagakure actually, where we see a Hokage who is the only one with the ability to pass laws or just do things. They have advisors, but these advisors actually have no power or say in what the Hokage decides.
So, what is Sunagakure? Well, upon further research because I am really no expert on governments, Suna holds similarities to a Monarchy, one ruler with checks and balances from something such as a parliament, but even that doesn't fit very well. Maybe its more of a combination between a few types. Basically this search has shown me we really can't compare the kages to our own political forms of government because Naruto is, in fact, fictional and I, in fact, am no political science expert. Let me just explain how Suna does function to our knowledge instead.
The kazekage does seem to have the most power, but even then is more of a figure head leader. It seems to us that the council and kazekage work in tandem to deal with political matters, assign government officials to tasks, and do whatever else needed. The kazekage alone cannot make and pass decisions and likely a majority vote is needed, if not a unanimous one. Thus making the kazekage, to my understanding, this figure who has the power and leads the village but has the same power as the council members in political matters (likely containing powers they don't have in less political matters such as assigning shinobi missions, although consulting the council is still likely with certain things). The council seems to be made up of those recognized to be intellectuals and those possibly with power and experience, it is mostly made up of crusty old farts anyways.
As far as other prominent members go, there are some names we have for council members. To be honest I am unsure how accurate they even are as I keep seeing new information, but we've recognized there to be smelly old men on the council named: Joseki, Sajo, Goza, and Ryusa. There was also Yuura, not an old man but just as musty as them. Of course our wonderful angel Baki is on the council too. To my knowledge, Kankuro is also sort of a member of the council, whether that is because he was elected to it or because he is Gaara's top aide/advisor. Yes, Kankuro has an important spot in the government (Kinda scary but also I support him)! He seems to mostly serve as an advisor to Gaara though. Frankly that's all we really know about the council.
Hope this helps!

One more time...
There are no doctors.
I can get a tow truck to come if my car breaks down, but the tow truck has a driver that you can see, and an assassin that you do not see, those two have communications with all of the passing motorists on the freeway where my car may break down, so, all of the motorists all become assistants, they are all part of the Canadian terror army, they help the assassin do the kill of the motorists who’s car broke down and called for a tow-truck.
I can get a tow truck to come get my car, and there will be an attempt to kill me on the roadside, as loud vehicles go buy making noise cover and other drivers come close to the soft shoulder, to make sure the victim stays out of view as much as possible.
I cannot see a doctor without experiencing similar condition as if I called a tow truck. There are no doctors at the hospitals, there are no doctors at the clinics or Urgent Care, there are only terror soldiers who specialize in the kind of murder that can happen at a medical facility,
no one will send help, and the haters, keep on hatin’,
Please send help to Josephine county Oregon.
=================================
8:19 pm:
I took a walk to the mailbox.
The terror audible signaling was in the form of the Sunflower terror cell peacock bird calls. The audible signaling is done to alert the other terror cell member assassins that I have gone outside, and I will be in range momentarily for an attempt to kill me.
The audible signaling occurred late in the walk, there were no sounds until I was passed my driveway gate, I suspect the signal was activated by a motion sensor or camera/motion sensor combination that is located near the pond at Monroe terror cell, as there is electricity available there and many places to conceal a camera or sensor. The actual bird call was a recorded sound played through a very powerful amplifier at Chartrand's terror cell.
As I reached the mailboxes, and having used my Bic Lighter as I was walking, approximately every ten seconds or so, there was a shout from the Monroe yard ... "C'est Chaud! Tank lit!".
A moment later, someone driving a small black car that meets the description of one of the cars at Bad Guy Automotive terror cell at the corner of Russell Road & Three Pines Road left the Monroe terror cell towards Russell Road, the car I am thinking of is a Honda Accord, about 1989 model, black.
So, all signs point to a terror soldier that launched towards Russell Road, and then someone left Monroe's to do the evac of the launched terror soldier ("evac" is the term used by the terror army), however, I did not see the launch this time, only heard the tell tale "C'est Chaud! Tank lit!". Once the nitrous tank is ignited, there is very little time before the terror soldiers either "burst" when the tank ruptures, or, they "launch" like a rocket. nitrous oxide is rocket fuel, look it up, it's used as a propellant in areas where oxygen is scarce or thin, and works even better when oxygen is plentiful, as is the case in the front yard at Monroe's, and all over the low earth atmosphere.
There is voter ballot in the mail. I think it's to vote if we want to have a municipal fire department in Josephine county, as it stands now, there are two private fire service companies and one of them only uses the trucks for parades, never for a response to a fire, they are movie prop fire trucks, are for show, not fire service.
The vote is fake, the outcome is already known, has been known since before the ballot book was printed, and I suspect that it will pass, and the cost will be enormous increase in my property tax.
Since I am the only US Citizen left alive, and not held as a slave in captivity, I still pay for my own mortgage and all of the bills I get, I pay myself, while the terror army has all of their needs provided for them for free, Screen Actor Guild leadership arranges all of the housing, transportation, food, clothing, everything the terror family cells need, is all paid for by others, with digital money magic done through JP Morgan Chase Bank, and with falsified inventory, and falsified digital money transactions at the checkout registers, debit machines, at the retail stores. They pretend to make purchases, but it's all an act, the activity of standing in line at the checkout at a store to make a purchase is all for show, it's done as part of the attack plans, so everything looks normal if investigative persons were to be watching, there is not much to see, and the terror army is able to fool the investigative persons right there, while the investigation is taking place.
So, that means that I am the only person who is affected by increase in prices, increase in taxes, and affected due to COVID Corona Hardship situations, the terror army is not affected financially in any way, shape, or form by any kind of hardship caused by the COVID, or any other reason where it costs more to live than the income can cover. They have everything paid for.
So, that municipal fire station measure is there only to hurt me, the last remaining US Citizen, and the only person who still has to pay for what I consume.
I think someone launched at Monroe's terror cell when I went to check the mail.
I have massive leg cramp, leg swelling, pain, foot swelling, more pain, after the 1600 foot round trip walk to check my mail.
The walking produces leg swelling, that in turn is increased blood pressure, that pressure drives the poisons out of the open wounds, and also, the increase in pressure causes the poisons to come out of my eyes like tears, it happens with increase in activity when I move around a lot, or walk, that is when ice cold tears begin to drip from my eyes. After taking a walk is a good time to rinse with peroxide as that is a time when there is abundance of poisons near the surface of the open wounds, rinsing at those times results in the material that comes out is very frothy like foam, more than if I rinse without a walk. So, even the swelling can be useful, if you think about how to use it.
no help has come.
There are no signs of helpful people anywhere.
Please send help.

Reminder:
Here in Oregon, all of the people were killed and replaced with terror army soldiers.
The way it used to be, we had citizens, there was some law enforcement and some public safety persons, there was fire stations and ambulance services, to name a few things that many US citizens take for granted, don't really think about very much.
now, the citizens are all Rank & File terror soldiers.
With the terror army in charge of the state, the needs for municipal services are no longer present. The reason is that the inhabitants of the municipality, as a Rank & File army, indeed compose their own law enforcement, public safety, ambulance service, and fire service.
In that way, every citizen, is effectively a police officer, a fire prevention specialist, an ambulance driver, and with all of them connected to one another with individual blue-tooth communications, each inhabitant is a public safety officer.
Unfortunately, it's a backwards system, one that protects the terror army.
Each terror soldier has responsibilities the same as US Military service persons do when on a base. Each one is there to protect the base, and each other. So, we have in Josephine county, essentially a terror military base. In the neighboring counties, those are other terror army bases, also, each inhabitant is a municipal public servant who duties are equivalent to police officers and firemen, they do those duties in parallel to their other duties of capturing and killing all of the US Citizens for USA takeover, and ultimately global domination.
Those conditions may be helpful to know about, in order to understand how the police and sheriff are all just for show, and also serve as roving death squads, because they really are an elite terror cell with very special privileged, equipment, situational conditions, and duties.

(tumblr text boxes come in two different styles, these ones with the colorful icon control buttons that happen when I respond to someone sending a note, like this entry is, (I don't often see these colorful icons, they are usually grey) and there is the text boxes that happen when I simply start a entry without answering a question, as I almost always have done. The two kinds of text boxes behave much differently. These text boxes with colorful icons allow that the URL's actually post as a link that shows up, while the usual text box with grey icons has very little functionality, and the links do not show up as a web page like that one above, with exception of YouTube links, they seem to post while others do not, if I take extra steps to make them post.)

(part 1) ur gonna roast me for this but im legit curious why mafia AUs are so bad? im asking in a non confrontational way, i get it romanticizing mafia is wrong, but i also believe that 1)most mafia AUs are a really toned down type of mafia;2)they do make for some interesting kinds of dynamics with fanart and with fics; 3)in a fic specifically u can create your own world and call something mafia and still make it so they don't kill innocent people but only idk members of other gangs or sth
(part 2) plus theyre a way to put ur charas in a completely diff context and see what theyll do. i mean i dont believe that writing ships in a certain context (like mafia) equals romanticizing that context. mafia AUs arent even my fav things to read (in fact i almost never do), im sure many ppl romanticize it and i obvs dont agree with that but im just trying to udnerstand bc i believe fandoms are a way to explore things that we normally wouldnt.
I’m not gonna roast you don’t worry xD okay wait let me check if I replied to this already if yes I’m gonna c/p because it’s half past midnight otherwise I’ll just go at it again wait *checks tags* fff obviously I don’t have a general post but anyway pls read this after you’ve done with my post and then this which is also choke-full of links. plus for a (not nice) laugh: here. AH WAIT I FOUND THE POST.
okay, so, let’s have it out of the way: I have nothing against mob aus or crime aus. I have a problem against calling them mafia AUs because in the US mafia = organized crime at large, in Italy mafia = ACTUAL EXISTING ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE ACTIVELY HARMFUL. now that I introduced the topic I’ll c/p you the reply I gave to another anon who while discussing the issue pointed out that most writers don’t even know Italian mafia is a thing, which is pretty much on the same discourse so...
*The thing is - in the US it might not be enough of a deal anymore and I honestly do get why people make the mafia = regular mobsters, since the mafia was the first foreign organized crime being exported to the US via italian immigrants (sorry if this sounds horrible in English but I just woke up and I still didn’t have coffee) so I understand that mafia became the umbrella term. But the thing is that - as you said, these people don’t even know that there’s a mafia in Italy anymore or where the word comes from.
I’m going to link to italiansreclaimingitaly’s tag about the mafia and its perception outside Italy because they posted about this extensively and it’s an excellent resource, but meanwhile I’m gonna do a very short bullet point list and about the topic:
Mafia might not be a big deal in the US, but it still is here. We have the beauty of four different mafias (Cosa Nostra - the Sicilian one, camorra which is the one in Campania but has tendrils spread everywhere, the 'ndrangheta which is in Calabria and the Sacra Corona Unita in Puglia) which are all active [especially camorra and 'ndrangheta] and whose actions have direct impact (negative) on our economy and on our society. Actually mafias are one of the main reasons we’re currently economically fucked up, and if I start talking about how mafia culture keeps some areas literally backwards I could talk about it for three months.
There are still people who are killed for standing up against them. These days the most prominent personality is Roberto Saviano who is a writer who dared to put together a book documenting minutely the way camorra works and he’s been living under protection for years by this point. Like, they want him dead because he wrote a book. And I’m sorta sure that he was talking about leaving Italy and going to the US after years of sticking with it here because he can’t take it anymore but I don’t know if it was a taken decision or if it’s still debating it.
It wasn’t even thirty years ago that we had the stragi di mafia - in english it’d be something like the mafia slaughters, basically around the beginning of the nineties there were a number of bombs planted by the mafia targeting people who were trying to oppose it including judges Falcone and Borsellino, actually the anniversary of Falcone’s death is like... tomorrow. And they’ve killed people for way longer than that. Here is a list of only Cosa Nostra victims including the ones from the eighties/nineties. And people are still dying because of it. The slaughters I’m referring to are just the ones in the nineties which are enough of a number.
They also perpetuate a culture where if you testify against your mafia-employed relatives you’ll be shunned forever. There are women who testified against their families and couldn’t see their children anymore never mind that they weren’t automatically considered a relative anymore the moment they sided against the mafia. Some people have committed suicide after becoming witnesses also because our police force/justice system can be terribly non-supportive in this kind of situation so they got left on their own. Never mind that back in the day - it was the beginning of the nineties? - I recall at least a particular story of - I think, correct me if I remember wrong but I can’t remember the names for the life of me - where this guy testified against the local mafia when he either used to work for them or was forced to pay them the pizzo and in retaliation his six-year old (or five? Anyway he had a son younger than ten for sure) got kidnapped, killed and thrown into acid to dispose of the body. That happened in what, 1993? 1994? It’s pretty much yesterday. And now the camorra is doing the same - there’s a list here of camorra victims among which accidental passerbys that got killed because they were in the way which I can tell just by glancing is not complete. And I’m not even going into the 'ndrangheta. That is to say, here mafia still kills people and cripples our country.
Now, I get that it’s a word, but the point was: let’s say that instead of the Italians the Japanese came to the US first and the umbrella word for organized crime was yakuza rather than mafia and let’s say yakuza was still what it was originally in Japan while in the US it stopped being a big deal and people write yakuza!AU instead of mafia AU. Let’s say someone Japanese gets angry at that and goes like 'listen the yakuza is a real deal it does this this this and that and it’s a plague in our country so can you please at least look it up before writing your fanfic’, which is what had happened way back then when this whole mafia and fanfic thing blew up. A bunch of people told us to get over it because it’s just a word and if it’s a problem in Italy it’s not in the US so why should they care? Now, if we had been Japanese (or Chinese or Russian or Mexican) would they have said the same thing? Considering the general tumblr attitude I’m pretty sure they would have received either an apology or 'this is an important deal let’s keep that in mind’ with signal boost reblogs and stuff.
It’s the fact that we should get over people not knowing that it’s still a real problem for us and that they can’t take five seconds to google it that is the problem imo. Especially when instead of mafia au you can just say mobsters au or tag it as organized crime and everyone is a lot happier, mostly because as the tag above explains romanticising the mafia is a good thing for them because it means they can act outside Italy with less stigma because everyone thinks that the mafia is dead or not relevant anymore, if I’m explaining myself. (And it’s active outside Italy - like, there was a mafia kill in Germany in 2007 where six people died (sorry the link is in Italian but there isn’t an English wiki page, if you look the city up you’ll find something probably) and it was because of the 'ndrangheta.
I’d really like to not get worked over it because it meant it was a thing of the past y'know, but the problem is that it isn’t and I’d rather spread some awareness in hope some of these writers look it up (because it’s a good thing that people know what mafia is since as stated they have tendrils everywhere - if you read Saviano’s book the entire first chapter is about how camorra regularly deals with Chinese import/export in Italy for one) than shrug and figure that since they’ll think everything is good for fanfic then it’s not even worth my time.*
Now, ^^^ that was the c/p-ed reply that should answer most of your doubts. What I didn’t address was:
im sure many ppl romanticize it and i obvs dont agree with that but im just trying to udnerstand bc i believe fandoms are a way to explore things that we normally wouldnt.
aaaand as we say here in Italy, this is where the donkey falls (sorry we have weird sayings), because in theory there’s nothing wrong with that... except that in 99% of the mafia aus I’ve seen around the thing is that they’re supposed to be cute.
like, I see a lot of shit with TINY MAFIA BOSS STEVE ROGERS with RUSSIAN ENFORCER BUCKY (????? bucky isn’t even russian???) and the yoi thing I saw before had the japanese character being the leader of a russian mafia gang which is... like... guys it doesn’t happen it really doesn’t, and a lot of them re-use wrongly terminology taken from the godfather without context or knowing what the hell it means, and it’s always from the criminals’ pov and they’re somehow seen as criminals doing justice where the police can’t (???) and like... no. mafia bosses/enforcers/employees are bad people period, and at least here if you try to leave or repent they kill your family in retribution. like, not even ten years ago there’s been a woman who used to belong to a mafia family (or one colluded with the mafia) who testified and her entire town/family shunned her and she couldn’t take it anymore and... killed herself drinking acid if I don’t recall wrong. it’s not even special cases. this shit is not funny, it’s not cute, it’s not adorable and it’s not good fodder for your imagine your otp scenario (srsly I saw one like.. let me find it,
LIKE. just look at this shit. in a regular context, the enforcer goes to the show owner to force them to pay a monthly sum to their boss lest they destroy their shop and their lives and their family’s life never mind that mafia culture is deeply homophobic so the mafia enforcer flirting with the shopkeeper is like completely fucking out of the question. I mean, people here like to shit on the sopranos but that show was actually excellent representation of Horrid Criminals Who Were Never Supposed To Be Good People and the small arc that happened when one of tony’s friends turned out to be gay (closeted) was REALLY well done. btw, it ended that when they found out he was gay most of the crowd rejected him and thought badly of him until I think they killed him also for other reasons, but that spiraled from finding out he liked dick. and that’s american mafia that they actually based on well-done research of the culture in Italy it came from, I assure you that here it doesn’t work that differently. like. the shit above is so inaccurate and frankly offensive, it’s like... I get people romanticizing problematic stuff but the thing is that when you tell them that it’s actually offensive you get brushed off as ‘ah well you’re being too sensitive it’s just a word u__u’. now, I’m all for exploring shit we wouldn’t be into, but not like THAT, because that’s like mafia romantic comedy and that’s not how it works. now, you wanna do a fic where the mafia characters are deeply flawed and bad people and the police tries to catch them? fine, great, go ahead. you wanna do a fic where the enforcer above deals with dunno an entire life of internalized homophobia when he finds the shopkeeper attractive and feels conflicted over having to con money out of him and doing horrible shit for a living and maybe understanding that crime isn’t worth it and then he actually collaborates with the police and gets shit from about everyone he knows and loves for that? okay, awesome, go ahead. nothing bad in that.
but the shit above is not exploring things we wouldn’t/writing darkfic, it’s THINKING THAT A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION WHICH IS STILL A THING IN OUR PART OF THE WORLD IS CUTE AND ADORABLE. and that only plays in their favor because it takes the bad aura out of the word and we really should not let that happen. like. that is what is bad about mafia aus and mafia discourse, that people don’t realize the mafia is alive and well and thriving and not a thing that doesn’t exist or a generic word for organized crime.
you wanna write the shit above? okay, CALL IT CRIME AU or mob au, not mafia au.
btw, add-on: idk if I mentioned it in the above post or not, but in case I didn’t, I said that people would balk at the idea of a mexican cartel au. sadly since then I’ve found out a fandom where not only there is one but it’s also extra cutesy and people apparently love it and it has a bunch of kudos/comments and idek I’m not even touching that with a ten foot pole but like... I’ve avoided it and everything that author wrote because to me it’s just... nope. like, nope. if you do mafia aus don’t make them fucking cute. (also: in the same fandom I had to mute a v. famous fanartist whose art I actually liked but did cutesy mafia aus and.. like... haahahhaahahahahaha nah sorry. can’t go there. nope.)
