URGENT HELP NEEDED

my partner and i have been living off of my part-time income due to my inability to work full time and the continuous rejection of my partner from jobs they've been applying to for months. usually we would doordash in free time to be able to pay bills, but-

recently our car has been broken and we have had to work on it ourselves in the parking lot of our apartment complex as we cannot afford a mechanic. the front right suspension needed to be entirely rebuilt, and as of now we only need the strut assembly before the car is back in working order. that part will be delivered to us tuesday or wednesday (10/10-10/11) and our plan then was to replace the part, and then i would travel to mississippi to live with my aunt for the opportunity for better money.

on sunday night (10/8), a neighbor that my partner worked with briefly came over and attacked them, which i caught on video and we called the police to report. despite not pressing charges, yesterday (monday 10/9) at 1:20 PM, the neighbor had our car impounded for being inoperable as retaliation.

we need $278 to get the car out of the impound, $120 for a tow back to our apartment complex, and $30 for uber rides to the impound and back

Help save Bilal's family!

i want to talk about my friend Bilal @bilal-salah0. for over a year now, Bilal has been living in germany, trying to adjust to his new living situation in a foreign country, learning a new language and working full time. 

when the war started, he was far away from home and his family and has been living in daily fear for their lives ever since. 

being forced to work long hours and promoting his family’s fundraiser at the same time, he has taken on more responsibility than anyone ever should. still, he managed to raise money for their evacuation fund and helped take care of his family’s daily needs with the money he was making while working. 

in a cruel twist of fate, all of this got taken away in an instant. he lost his job and his apartment and even his residence permit. which means he is at danger of deportation from germany that could happen as soon as next week!

i have been in daily contact with Bilal for a while now and connected him with some of my friends in germany. together, we are trying our utmost to make sure he can stay in the country. anyone who knows german bureaucracy knows what kind of hell it is. but we won't give up.

without his job, he was forced to dip into the money of his family’s evacuation fund to cover their daily expenses like food and shelter. this meant he had to raise his goal from €70,000 to €100,000. this was not an easy decision for him to make, he even asked for my advice on whether or not to do it, because he did not want anyone to think he was scamming people. 

even in such a desperate situation, Bilal does not want to be seen as someone who would ever take advantage of people's generosity

his family is comprised of 18 members, 10 of them are adults and 8 are children under 16 years old, some of them newborns who were born amidst the chaos of war and displacement.

ive posted about her before, amal is a mother of a young daughter who was only 9 months old when the war began. her and her husband and daughter have lost everything and been displaced many times and now struggle to afford daily necessities. the funds from this campaign have been helping them survive since they have no other income and prices are extremely high in gaza.

unfortunately theyve just been displaced again when the genocidal israeli army ordered them to evacuate deir al-balah and go west, towards the sea. every time that people are displaced in gaza it is extremely expensive and taxing. transportation and fuel prices are high, and because the idf gives little warning and constantly changes "safe zones," people often are forced to leave behind their tents. read amals post where she explains everything theyve been through and how much its cost them in her own words.

its such a scary situation in gaza right now. so many people being forced to leave again to even smaller areas with nowhere to go. thankfully amal and her family have survived so far but she's had to spend a lot of the money from the campaign on these expenses. shes raised the goal of this campaign to reflect this.

amal sent me these messages earlier today... people are trapped in an actual living hell right now. its really far beyond what we can comprehend from the outside.

URGENT: TENTS GETTING FLOODED, NEED FUNDS

Falastin's family is certainly not the only one affected by Gaza's recent heavy rains, but it doesn't mean they suffer any less. As you can see from the video, it's barely better inside the tent than outside it - and the floor is completely drenched.

Ever tried to sleep outside in a rain? It's not only sopping, dehumanizing experience, it's also painful because you get cold from the water and there is no way to get warm. Try to imagine how it is to eat soggy bread while you can barely move your aching from the cold hands. Try to also imagine to barely be able to sleep from the anxiety and constant noise, noise from the buzzing planes and drones and relentless dripping water. Try to imagine that you need to calm down your children, and come up with new lies every day - for why they are not in a warm home, why they don't have food to eat, why they can't be treated for their cold. Because the reality is so soul-crushing that you cant explain it to them - or if you do, they'd think you are punishing them. The reality is that Falastin was trying to raise funds for her 24 family members for evacuation from Gaza since late June and barely got 1% completed. She gathered 43,682 SEK (4,292$) which doesn't cover even one evacuation - but even without that the border is closed, they need money FOR EVERYTHING since none of them can work right now for obvious reasons. Not only they need food, water, medicine (especially for the flu which is in season right now), they also need more tents and waterproof material.

The reality is that you can help them right now, by donating some of you money. If you can give 100$, give 100$. If you can give 50 cents, give 50 cents. Not a cent will be wasted.

The next short-term goal is 6,000$ and Falastin really needs to reach it as soon as possible to keep her family alive.

Coming back after being almost a week without electricity, phone, and internet connection. Huge storms with lightning and rain, and winds. We have never have winds like that here and the roof of so many houses were ripped off, stuff flying, etc. All this bc global warming, and the deforestation and mining in our lands. At this rate, in 5 years we will have tornadoes, a thing we have never ever have here. Nor our lands, infrastructures, states, and culture are prepared for this. Areas of the country are devastated, ppl have died, many are without electricity nor Internet connection so they are isolated. The houses are flooding with water, and the ones that not, are leaking from the ceiling. Too many neighbours and compatriots don't have roofs and the streets are full of fallen trees and pieces of roof material, no electricity, no signal, food rotting, but suffering at the same time for the cold of this terrible winter, and trying to do something, patching even when its gonna go to hell when the storm comes again this next days. More than 33,200 people affected and 41,500 isolated due to 5 days of rain and windstorms. In just a couple of days there were 170,000 homes left without power due to wind and rainstorms and even more as time went by.

Just saw this and I want to put my 2 cents in These people don't speak English as their first language most of the time, and they are being put in one of the most stressful situations to ever experience as a human, most of them aren't scams, they're people genuinely in need. They are reaching out to whoever supports their fight for freedom because it's somebody who is on their side, and it's a smart thing to do, trying to campaign to people who don't support you is a one way ticket to being ignored. Scammers utilise situations like this often but aren't the majority, so if you can, share or donate even if you think it's a scam because of the grammar, the grammar is bad because it's not their native language. Don't let shitty people stop you from supporting people who need eyes on their situation.
