it’s my birthday tomorrow, i have no plans and instead of panicking about that i feel okay, which is suspicious and i’m waiting for that ”i feel weird and kind of bad on my birthday” feeling i usually get.
#even if the day is enjoyable#birthdays always feel weird to me#because i kind of want to make. maybe not a big deal of it but. at least a deal you know.#but i feel like no one around me really celebrates birthdays so it would feel too attention seeking#or those who like celebrating birthdays are for away from me#and everyone is always so busy that i start feeling like i’m being too selfish#if i suggest that i want to actually celebrate#i feel like it’s only acceptable when it’s a Big Age like 30 or 40 or 50 but other than that i can’t ask someone to give me attention#it’s okay when it’s someone else asking#but i’m not allowed to ask these same things and yes trying to grow out of this kind of thinking#i don’t know how to ask that for myself#so it’s just. whatever.#but this year i haven’t felt bad about that#i’m just like. oh right it’s my birthday tomorrow. okay.#like i said#suspicious#hjesfsf#anyway i think in celebration of my birthday oliver should post a thirst trap#for old times sake since he never posts them anymore#i already bought a new lipstick and a blush as a treat so now i just need some other treats too

I did start this whole blog with the dreams of one day being able to draw better equines. So Yes. I did need this.#The true benchmark of my art progress is actually the quality of how I draw Little Apple.#(no seriously go look back at my little apple tag. Then come back here).#Hey welcome back! I know right! What was I even doing at the start? That was *not* a donkey!!!#That aside - I really am thrilled that I can draw her more. Even if she's only *really* in two more comics for season 2.#I wish I had more thoughts here. I'm so distracted by the donkey rotating in my brain. I missed her so monch.#Oh! Yeah I really like the parallels here between WWX and Little apple.#Specifically the sense of how we get a nod to how he's changed.#Little apple and WWX have both grown a little less lean and hungry (one literally the other metaphorically)#This whole episode is basically about WWX's desire for something peaceful and domestic in his life.#and here is little apple - his first companion from the start of his new life - changed to something softer.#Very much a 'look how far we have come moment' that is rather subtle but enjoyable.

An integral part of UT/DR!! She's awesome!#WE ARE OFFICIALLY ON Day 2 BABY#yes- there is still a little everyman easter egg as well as some other things... ;)#I tried so many new and different things for these panels. I was a little nervous implementing them. But im having a lot of fun with it!#i try to put my own artistic enjoyment above all other things :) its what I strive for.#Angle's landing day! excited for the festivities!#Chara is feeling stabby :)#loved detailing Chara's hand in the last page. When I detail the hands- just know shits getting real#I'm really happy with how I was able to redraw Toriel here. She showed up in the second part and that was it for 2 years -w-#so even if she's not a major character- I wanted to give her some good screen time <3#I did not make the Darkworld “Mayor” just for that one joke....but dang did it fit perfectly.#these 4 pages took longer than I wanted. since i'm talking about bull today, i think its a bit of a mistep to say bull turning against the inquisitor in trespasser is an act of revenge for the death of the chargers. this isn't a result of the inquisitor betraying bull or hurting him. it is a result of the inquisitor reaffirming iron bull's place within the qun. it isn't something that the inquisitor "deserves" for killing a group of beloved soldiers. it is simply the consequence of choosing a political allegiance- the qun- and enforcing the idea that a small part can and should be sacraficed for the greater whole. the chargers can be sacrificed for the inquisiton, the inquisitor (and dorian, and vivienne, and sera, and anyone else bull befriended) can be sacrificed for the qun.

Okay I caved and checked in real quick for the MHA ending specifically to find out if the hero ranking still exists and the fact that it does is what's really disappointing. From the beginning the theme was that hero society was corrupt because they were all focused on status and celebrity and wealth over helping people. The hero ranking was the prime representation of that. Logically speaking if the story was about improving society, I expected that ranking to be abolished by the end of the story. Even if the villains couldn't be saved and Deku can't be powerful again, maybe society can be changed so history doesn't repeat itself. But the fact that it's still there means no progress was made. The cycle continues
