With Q constantly invading Picards private space and the overall closeness and fixation I think it would be a given that once in a relationship with Picard (friendship, qpr or romantic) where he would be allowed to actually touch him even if it’s only a hug or having his arm across Picards shoulder he would be very much into PDA and quite physical.

#to be honest I don't think hugs once they are on good footing would be a problem #I know there is a post out here somewhere showing how many hugs Picard has had with some of his friends #it could just be a bit of the nature #of the touch like with Q having an arm across his shoulders and having him close in front of Beverly or Riker #making the gesture seem just a little bit possessive #or #the intensity and to please have some professionalism when they are at public events or just on the Bridge #qcard #could also be #platonic qcard #once given allowance Q would so hold Picard in front of Guinan #if only to gloat in a not so subtly manner that Q is not forcing anything but that the Captain is letting him do this #even if Picard finds this particular kind of behavior rather immature
