si tienes un 9.56 en bachillerato y tu nota máxima de selectividad es un 8 quiere decir que en tu colegio te han inflado la media como si fueras el precio de un fichaje del City, bienvenida al mundo real https://t.co/qSM2KfBWLO

[ID: Traditional drawing of modern AU Zukka. It's a close up of Zuko taking Sokka's chin while they look lovingly at eachother. Framing the characters you can read "¿Qué es poesía?, dices mientras clavas en mi pupila tu pupila azul. ¡Qué es poesía! ¿Y tú me lo preguntas? Poesía... eres tú". End ID.]
@zukkaweek Day 1 modern au but a week later 😜
The quote is a poem by Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer. It (roughly) translates to "What is poetry?, you ask while your blue pupils penetrate my pupil. What is poetry! And you ask me? You are poetry".

WELL ITS NOT!!!
ITS A FICTIONAL NOVEL!!!! Here's the summary (google translated bc i can't bother with it rn)
One day in early autumn in 1793, the young Sebastien-François Précy de Landrieux arrived in Paris for the first time. He had not yet turned sixteen. But the city that welcomes him is not the one he dreamed of so many times. From the windows of his carriage he contemplates, in the plaza through which he crosses, the Artifact with its blade suspended on top, the famous and feared scales of justice of the Revolution. And he feels a light breeze on his neck. Sebastien still does not know that, through a contact of his father, he will start working in the office of Deputy-Minister Lindet, which will allow him to deal with senior officials, including Robespierre himself. Without realizing it, Sebastien finds himself in the administrative heart of the Terror. At death's door, Sebastien writes his memoirs of those days. And so the events and emotions that from September 1793 to August 1794 marked not only the French Revolution but also the birth of modernity unfold before the reader's eyes. The result is a historical novel, with intrigues and epic moments, and a novel of ideas at the same time. Along with an extensive presentation of historical figures, magnificent, difficult to surpass, and possibly never done before in Spanish, we witness a stark denunciation of the lie on which the essential values of our civilization were built, which while boasting having achieved the freedom of its citizens, it will hardly be able to do the same with respect to equality. A magnum opus in the author's career, Robespierre is, both ethically and aesthetically, an oceanic proposal -as were the Revolution and especially the Terror-, after which the shipwrecked readers will find what they were looking for.
T-there's a preview available... should i check and see how bad it is?💀
Why did the author choose to just call it "Robespierre"? to lure and disappoint me, personally i guess

Girl you are managing university stress and also writing just masterworks...... WOW. Here I can't handle Alevel 😭 but you're doing triple the work. YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELF!
shut up you’re making me cry even more 😭 my works are ok, but i don’t think they’re THAT good
the fact is that i’m a person who works surprisingly good under pressure. i grew up with so many extra curricular activities after school that i’m used to it. been in all the sports you can imagine. i studied for six years professional music studies (just like alessia from my seb’s series, Adagio for two!) while studying school and english to improve my level. last year i was managing uni with getting my english language certificate, working as an english teacher and, of course, writing. now i’m just focusing on my studies (this was the hardest year, my god) and on my mental health (especially when my ex bf left my message on read and never got to break up with me lol), so writing has been quite helpful and, tbh with you, it’s on what i’m focusing the most!
next year i start studying for a public exam to get a job as a teacher and idk how i’m gonna get to write, but pretty sure i’ll do it!
i did my research and i feel like alevels are similar to the selectividad/evau/ebau/pevau (whatever is called lol) in spain, so good look! pretty sure you can do it without any problem 🫂🫶🏻

In EVAU (university entrance exams) they grade your total grade from 0 to 14 calculating your Baccalaureate average grade multiplied by 0.6 + the average of the four main exams multiplied by 0.4 + the results of the optional exams that depending on the major you're choosing you-- you know what it's complicated. I got my friend complaining that when he did the EVAU he cried himself to sleep to get a 10.5 (he needed at least a 10) and here I am with an 11 up my ass while I was chilling all the way through the exams last week and not even putting the effort to get that grade because I only needed a 7 lmao I just got it randomly, those exams were easy as fuck

Y'know, every time I look up at the night sky I get hit with the realization again that, while people are often surprised that I'm not doing arts, instead doing science in school; maybe my pull for astrophysics isn't necessarily a different side of me that the artist side of me
Like every time I read any sort of scientific data on planets or see pictures of them, I get hit with the same raw emotion you get when seeing a classical painting, and it inspires in me the same desire to create.
Sometimes my little brother (10yo) and I would be home alone late at night and he'd be afraid so I'd take him out to our patio and teach him how to identify stars, planets, and ig that's when it first hit me that maybe my call was Space
Tbh physics as a career (to then specialize in Astrophysics) is quite hard to get in (most places ask for a 12.5+ evau score...) but it does motivate me so much

¡Hola! I'm a 2nd Bachillerato student and I am seriously trying to figure out if I want to go into psychology. Do you have any advice? Why did you choose it?
Holii Nonny! I've been thinking about this ask and how to better answer since you sent it, sorry it's been so long.
I do warn you that my advice is completely subjective and would probably not apply specifically but i can offer you my point of view.
First thing first: since you are in 2do Bach, I'm guessing you are doing the Sanitary one (biology and chemistry). If this is not the case, I should warn you that those are the only two subjects with a 0.2 score in EVAU to get into psychology. I didn't know that fact and did the Social Sciences branch (geo and economy) meaning that with my mark on EVAU I couldn't access to any public university so I am currently studying in a private one.
My overall advice is try to find which branch of psychology is taught at which university. As every other discipline I guess, psychology is known for having different ways of approaching the same concept and depending on which one you've studied (and like more) your therapy sessions will be difference. For example, I know that in UAM they are into cognitive psych, in my uni they used to be cognitive but when I started they changed to neuropsych (i have a lot of bio subjects, basically). This also means that your subjects might change in terms of contents.
So if you can try to find the overall branch because even if you study them all, it does have an impact depending on where you study.
I guess another piece of advice is to have patience. I thought when I first started the career that it would be really practical, and that they would idk teach me the secrets of the universe to help everyone who came to my therapy office and it would be like medicine. It is not. I am in third year and only now we've started to see more practical things. Until now I could probably tell you for example that you had depression according to the manual, but I still don't know how to treat a person with depression, you know?
Along with that one I would say make sure you understand the basics. The first year is all basics and it's all boring. BUT if you don't understand classical conditioning then later on when you study more complex things you won't be able to understand them either because they are based on classical conditioning. So understand and learn the stupid experiments with rats so that you can later get why bullying is reinforced.
Um for the next question I'm gonna quickly drop a tw for bullying because it was a major thing that made me choose psychology.
Honestly I wanted to study psychology not only because I have gone two years to therapy for bullying when I was in middle school, but also because my mom is a psychologist herself.
It is not as important I guess, but you'll probably understand if I told you I was the "mediator" of my friend group when there was a discussion or a fight and people came to me with their problems.
I guess there's like a lot of different small reasons that sum up into it, but if you asked my class for example there's a lot of different examples and stories.
Feel completely free to ask anything else you want to know!
Also good luck with EVAU!!!!! It's a really stressing time so make sure you are resting enough and sleeping well <33
