The way Carlos' first thought after getting the trophy was to show Charles. He made him look at his inverted face in the reflection on that podium in the full access video is too endearing. Silly boys winning races. 🥰
i know right and charles' smile after carlos said "you have it" i'm- :') gave us the best pic from that podium

💄 Eva's dyed blonde hair has been the envy of many. It contrasted very well with her dark skin and green eyes. People often staring at you both as you walked down the halls, you were flustered most of the time. Mainly because Eva always made you wear a top that showed off your collarbone and back after a long night of cumming into your insides. Showing off the hickies she left just hours earlier
👠she wants atleast 3 kids, coming from a small but loving family. She thinks you'd look absolutely beautiful carrying her offspring. Often times getting a boner straining against her skirt just thinking about it.
👜 before meeting you she was quite a bit of a player. Breaking hearts here and there, even cumming inside a few to relieve stress. But afterwards? She stuck to you like glue. Suddenly she was tucking that monster dick in-between her legs and only whipping it out if you asked her to
💄 once, some smartass thought it would be a good idea to hit on you. Right Infront of her. It didn't end well for him. Later that night, after Eva fucked your brains out as usual, she took a video of her fully hard cock still inside you. Thrusting slowly and zooming in on where your body's kept meeting. The video picked up on all your little moans and whines. Guess who she sent the video to afterwards
👠Eva fucks you like an animal. She's happy to out a baby in your belly anytime, anywhere. Just make you bring the condoms unless you want to actually get knocked up. The mating press and full Nelson are her favorite positions
👜 if you ever suggest a threesome with Sam, she'll reluctantly consider. As long as it makes you happy, she guesses she can share you with her ex? Let's just say by the time it's finally done, you're covered in Eva's cum and Sam's slick. Sam being the horndog he is, would probably lick it off you
💄Eva has a thing for stretch marks, belly rolls, body hair, etc. She loves to bite anywhere she can reach, and besides it's all natural! There's nothing wrong with that. She's down to do try anything as long as she gets cum inside you by the end of it

Why was Diana so Reluctant to Open Up and Tell the Truth?
Returning from a previous post I had sent on this blog, I had theorized that Diana may have potentially gone through some experience in the past that has prevented her from being able to properly open up. I was rewatching the trial from chapter 1 and from what I could find on rewatch, is that Diana seemed to be particularly concerned about how others around her would react. And from three different lines of dialogue that I could find, is that Diana seems to be afraid of not being heard out or invalidated. Considering her bio states that she was in the popular crowds before the events of the game, it seems like Diana's fear came from the draw backs of being in the popular crowd. And in being part of the crowd, she would become much of the subject of conversation. She got so much attention on her, which may have caused her to become alienated or isolated in an emotional manner. In the screenshots I have provided, Diana has mentioned things like how others could twist her words around. Suggesting that she may have attempted to dispel or disprove untrue rumours about her. Which resulted in the aftermath not going her way and ultimately nothing was solved. The first screenshot details this aspect of her.
Tumblr media
And because Diana must have failed to stop these rumours, this may explain why she often blames herself for not doing the 'right' thing or perceives herself as powerless. Because, Diana was caught up in an unfair situation. The rumours may have gotten so out of hand that Diana may have been cornered and forced herself to remain quiet. Complicit that these misconstrued words were true. She has likely accepted that at the time she couldn't change what others thought about her, and as much as Diana didn't like these rumours, she must have chosen to stop saying anything.
Tumblr media
And this may have resulted in potential self isolation or some emotional blockage. As a means to avoid getting hurt by the people she cared about. For her own reasons, Diana seems to feel like telling the truth things would 'just get worse' in the following screen shot, the next sentence may allude to the case. But it does seem to be telling of what she feels about her self worth. She doesn't seem like her input is anything good. And that she would be better off staying quiet. Because she may have blamed herself for the rumours that occurred or worsened, because of her attempts to intervene.
Tumblr media
It is possible that Diana could tell Damon about this particular issue in the story in Daily Life or from the Free Time Events, since Damon still needed to persuade Diana to explain her case. With some empathy, Damon may have used the right words to help Diana feel at ease to tell the truth. Assuring that he would listen and hear her out. Which may have not been something, Diana herself couldn't have had before the free time events or the trial. It's a stark contrast compared to the second free time event. Where he made his accusation of her being suspicious and making Diana uncomfortable with opening up. Though between the free time events and in the story, no one really truly knows why Diana is so afraid to open up, and be fully honest with others around her. In relation to a character like Damon, he is someone who is used to biting his tongue when others don't trust him or have something that would antagonize him. He doesn't open up to anyone because he percieves his vulnerabilities as an exploit. Yet in a similar vein, Diana too, cannot be vulnerable around others, out of fear that she would not be listened to. Potentially invalidated, unwanted or even abandoned. Possibly out of these fears she can't bring it in herself to lose her 'friends' again, and validates her helplessness by the end of the trial. The way Diana and Damon seem to handle their experiences past and present couldn't be anymore different from one another, yet they share an underlying similarity that sets up an interesting character dynamic. Damon acts more empathetic in response to her emotional distress. And in response to Damon's empathy, Diana was able to properly open up and have her voice heard in the court room. From this interaction it maybe possible that while tension between Diana and Damon will persist, ie: "I will follow in Wolfgang's Footsteps" (this maybe the source of Damon's anger in the end, not Diana's speech, exactly as many cut him out to be), it may fall on them growing closer that may allow them to become the better versions of each other. By helping each other out and setting their differences aside, for a greater common goal.

General Thoughts About Eden's Garden
I have, at long last, finished chapter one of Eden's Garden. And I really liked it! While it wasn't perfect, I still really enjoyed playing it and am very glad I got to experience it. Since I wasn't around for the Another fangames, this is the first time I've been able to keep up with a project like this as it's coming out, and it's been really cool.
So, without further ado, let's get started! Project Eden's Garden spoilers below. :)
I'll start with my criticisms, since I don't have a lot of them. Honestly, my biggest complaint has to be the technical issues I faced while trying to play this game instead of watching it. But I'm not going to sit here and pretend making a game is easy by any means, so I don't really hold that against the game, even if it was frustrating.
Plus, I'm an idiot. I sat for like half an hour trying to figure out the Non-Stop debate controls and thinking my WASD thingy was malfunctioning and not letting me switch truth bullets, when there was only one truth bullet I was allowed to use at the time. I was just being stupid and not catching on when it only showed me one truth bullet in the corner, haha. The repeated crashing of my game, however, wasn't my fault. But I was able to get my hands on a work-in-progress low-spec version of the game that stopped most of the crashing and stuff! After that, most issues went away, except for after the trial ended and the after-trial dialog wouldn't pop up, leaving me on a black screen even after a restarted my computer and tried a few more times. But I'm not too unhappy about that, it's not like I was missing any riveting gameplay sections, haha. I could just watch the YouTube version of the execution and stuff.
Other than those technical difficulties on my end, there are only a few actual problems I had with the gameplay, haha. The first being that I am terrible at bullet hell-styled gameplay, apparently, and Argument Altercation kicked my ass in normal mode. I really wish there was a way to switch your difficulty on that, or maybe checkpoints, because after about thirty or more tries of not being able to get past stage three, I gave up and ended up just getting my hands on a save file from after the minigame. I may love videogames, but that does not mean I'm good at them, haha.
As for the actual writing, I don't have too many complaints...I suppose if I had to say something, though, it'd be that some of the characters felt like they didn't have enough to do this chapter. Ulysses is probably the main one I felt this applied to, even if I love him, he didn't give us too much this chapter, other than a lore drop during the pharmacy investigation (His limited screentime didn't stop me from growing attached to him, though haha). Other characters, despite getting a little more screentime, felt like they didn't really develop at all in the grand scheme of things. But I don't want to focus in on this too much, since it's only chapter one and most characters usually don't start having any big changes until a murder occurs. And the disproportional screentime may just be the writing style of Eden's Garden being that they focus on a certain group of characters each chapter, when they have the most relevance. Wenona, for example, feels like she's being set up to be a larger player down the line, even if she wasn't a super major character this chapter.
There was a lot more I liked about the chapter than disliked, though! All the characters really grew on me, for the most part. Well...Almost everyone. There is one character who I'm kinda meh on right now, since I'm not quite sure what they're going for yet. He's entertaining, I like him fine, but he's not quite on the same level as everyone else. And that character is:
Jett.
Honestly, I think the main reason I'm having trouble is just how he treats Toshiko.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jett, why are you picking on a literal child??? What are you doing??? This wouldn't bother me if I knew an explanation for it that gives cool insight into his character, but as is I'm just kinda annoyed at him for it. Then again, I haven't bothered to experience any of his FTEs yet, so it's possible he gives some sort of explanation for his child-belittling ways there, haha.
The Mark and Jett thing was fine, I'm liking the set-up there. I think the only difference that makes me like the Jett and Mark stuff over the Jett and Toshiko stuff is that Damon actually calls Jett out for not respecting Mark's boundaries, meanwhile no one really reprimands him for belittling Toshiko because of her age. When he shares her blackmail, no one says "Hey, man, that wasn't very cool of you." They just shrug Toshiko's blackmail off and say no one should share anything else. Wolfgang even calls her blackmail a "joke". No wonder Toshiko is so desperate to be respected, everyone but Ingrid is so rude to her (I can forgive Grace, though, because the gremlin bit was the funniest thing in the prologue to me).
Of course, if they end up calling out his behavior towards her later, as well as everyone else's, I'll be happy and probably end up liking him more. His whole never taking off his helmet thing is pretty cool, I'm interested to see where that goes and to see any character development he has. And him and Cassidy's little friendship being established through gaming was fun.
...Writing all this out actually made me appreciate Jett a little more, since I don't think I would be able to say this much about some of the other characters...I mean if I felt something other than passive enjoyment maybe they’re doing something right…
Oh, right, there were other characters this chapter. Let's get onto them!
Damon was just as entertaining as last time, I'm excited to see what happens next with him. Him letting Diana defend herself made it seem like he was going to be more empathic to others and improve, but Eva betraying him might mean he starts trusting the others even less than before.
In daily life, Eva...Might've been my favorite. Don't get me wrong, Kai is still my favorite character overall, but I loved Eva in daily life so much. Her "Bweh..." and "Raaaage..." voicelines are some of my favorites in any fangan and I'm happy I experienced all her FTEs. I loved her in daily life, deadly life was...Still fine and good, the execution was super well-animated and cool. But her being the culprit did sort of undercut my enjoyment a little, since it sort of calls into question the truthfulness of certain aspects of her character that made me like her. Still really cool, though.
Kai was great. I'm going to make a post dedicated to him later, where I'm sure I'll ramble on and on for a while, so for now I'll keep it brief. He was just as funny as last time, surprisingly helpful in the class trial, his large amount of screentime was a pleasant surprise to me, I'm super excited to see if he'll be the new support, and his FTEs were really cool. I'm super hyped to ramble about everything concerning him later.
Ulysses, despite his limited screentime, managed to be pretty charming this time around. Him already telling backstory stuff to us makes me a little worried for if he'll die soon, but oh well. Him literally saying "um, actually" when he starts his objection was great. Toshiko calling him ugly in...the Prologue, I think(?), was blatantly incorrect because I really like his design. There's something about his color scheme that I enjoy, idk. Plus, owls are my favorite animal, so I was pretty much guaranteed to like his theming.
Diana being heavily suspected by the fanbase and then being suspected in-universe in the trial was cool, the whole "choose the culprit" minigame legitimately tricked me into thinking it was her for a hot minute...Until I remembered how much unused evidence we had, haha. Excited to see where she goes from here.
Wolfgang...Damn those sprites in the Diana flashback were cool. I should definitely check out his FTEs to get a little more context, but wow. While I'm not surprised he was the chapter one victim, I'm a little disappointed we'll never hear more from him.
Grace was great, her demeanor is kinda similar to another favorite character of mine, so I've become pretty endeared to her. I'm interested in seeing where the bunny symbolism goes, and how she'll react to Wolfgang being gone. She had no FTEs (her actually responding when I tried to enter her dorm (I was doing an experiment to see if I could enter anyone but Kai's and Damon's) jumpscared me haha), so I'm guessing she'll live a bit longer and receive some character development! Yay!
Wenona was fun, her attitude was as entertaining as ever. She's probably one of the characters I most want to go do the FTEs of, I'm interested to hear more about her.
Desmond and Eloise's friendship was fun, the scene where they try to get Grace to let them in Wolfgang's room was definitely the highlight of both their characters for me this chapter. Eloise standing up for herself during the confrontation and Desmond backing her up without hesitation was awesome. Can't wait to see their friendship expanded on (And Desmond being angsty during the closing argument was hilarious).
Toshiko and Jett already had most of my thoughts laid out above. Jett I've mostly finished describing, but I did like Ingrid and Toshiko's friendship this chapter. Toshiko's whole pretending-she's-totally-not-freaking-out-and-being-actively-traumatized thing was good, I liked how she was desperate to sound smart in the trials, it fits her character.
Mark was a little ruder than I thought he'd be going in, but I'm not complaining. While I don't think anything topped "Grace, call the fire brigade" this chapter, some things got pretty close, like his annoyed facial expression when you agree with him. Him not wanting to be acknowledged at all at the gaming tournament was interesting, I'm excited to see where they take his character.
Ingrid...Was fine. I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed at how my view of her failed to change at all this chapter. Even her blackmail was something we learned in the Prologue already. Still, I can appreciate her. Even if she didn't change much this chapter, I still like what she is right now. She's all-around pretty cool, and I like how she makes sure to defend Toshiko, unlike some characters I know. /j
(Her being called "reliable" made me immediately feel like she might not last long, though... :()
Jean is pretty interesting to me so far, Cassidy suggesting that he might just be posing as a 'pirate' was intriguing. Him saying there was an arcade on his ship made me think of a crack theory that he worked at a Chuckie Cheese type place, but instead of there being a strange mouse, you could hang around at his prop ship and take pictures with him and his "crewmates" (Co-workers or employees) in costume, with an arcade and snack bar nearby...His knowledge of machinery stuff is also cool. I should check out his FTEs.
Cassidy's whole gaming gimmick is cool, and I like her, but I think if I'm being honest, her fun design and awesome voice actor kinda carry her for me. I don't think she'd be one of my favorites to hear speak otherwise. Some of her voicelines are just hilarious by themselves, too, though ("I better zip up my fly, my genius is showing" was my favorite, like what the fuck that is so random and funny and she only uses it once). She's a character who I don't think I'd find nearly as funny if the vocal delivery wasn't as on point as it is, but seeing as it's totally awesome and on point I have nothing to complain about she’s really cool haha.
And those are all my general thoughts on each of the characters. Now onto a few individual moments I really liked!
I replayed the Prologue before playing through chapter 1, and something really cool I noticed was that when they're on the train, this happens after Cassidy says she smells something weird:
Tumblr media
I thought it was really cool how they subtly foreshadowed his lack of a sense of smell like that! The devs really thought his character through from the beginning, I suppose.
But moving on to chapter 1, specifically the trial. One detail I really liked was this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Near the boiler room door, I discovered a thin piece of metal.”
“During the investigation, there was a strange smell permeating the boiler room. It took me a moment to notice, but when I did…”
Damon takes credit for both the scrap metal and the smell.
This happens very directly with the metal, where he says that he discovered it. While he does admit he didn't think the metal was important before, what he fails to do is give credit to Ulysses for pointing it out to him, since Damon didn't notice it until Ulysses did. And when Ulysses did notice it, Damon berated him for even writing it down. And yet now here he is, pretending that he took note of the piece of metal all by himself.
He also takes credit for finding the smell, albeit slightly less directly. But he still makes it sound like he noticed it by himself, when Jean was the one who had to directly point it out to him. And even then, Damon could only smell the generator at first, and Jean had to further explain what he meant. And Damon pretty much plagiarizes his description of the smell without crediting him, too. You’d think a debater would know how to cite their sources correctly, haha.
So long story short, Damon fails to mention that he got help investigating from both Ulysses and Jean. I find that interesting because even though Damon says he can only rely on himself right before this trial starts, he is actively ignoring that he is only able to steer the trial in the right direction at certain points because of the help he received from others. The game is both proving his point about him only relying on himself (+Eva this trial) wrong, while also letting the player further see his mindset. Pretty cool. (Though I’d honestly be kinda pissed if I was Ulysses haha).
I also really liked Eva this chapter. Legitimately the first chapter death I've been most sad about in any Fangan. Usually I see the fake-out support thing coming a mile away, since it's such a common thing in fangans, but they genuinely fooled me with Eva. I really got attached to her and I'm sad to see her go.
I still haven't really fully processed her character, but what I do know is that she's really cool and relatable and her voice actor is very talented. Her design is amazing. Her sense of humor is immaculate. Overall, amazing character I was devastated to see go.
One cool detail I noticed, in order to commemorate my love for her:
Tumblr media
After avoiding Grace, which Damon theorizes was because she didn't want her talent mocked, she investigates the Dining Hall people. And yet, even though she mentions Jett and Mark being unhelpful, she says nothing about Kai.
This could be shrugged off by the fact Kai said something helpful about the footsteps when Damon approached, but since Kai says this info like he hasn't shared it with anyone else, I don't think that's the case. Instead, I think this confirms Damon's suspicion that she is avoiding those who mocked her real talent, since Kai is definitely a jerk about it to her face on at least two occasions. She legitimately just didn't speak with him. That really hits home just how uncomfortable Eva was with a lot of the people in the killing game.
(I'll talk more about this in the Kai post, but Eva not mentioning Kai when you enter the dining hall, and Desmond also not mentioning where he went before that, made me actually start worrying that we were gonna find a second body haha, that's why I noticed this).
Lastly, I'd just like to say:
Tumblr media
Even Desmond and Eloise being like "dude no stfu" at Diana in this CG was hilarious and I love it.

We're told that at the beginning of the Golden Age "human lifespans tripled" - my impression is that this continues to be a case and that the humans we know are often well over 100 years old. In my head at least, Eva is in her mid 200s. Am I wrong, or is this supported by canon?
I believe it is still the case, though finding evidence is really difficult, mostly because we simply don't have a timeline. I think it would make sense for this to still be in effect because nothing else from the Traveler's terraforming and gifts was removed post-Collapse.
However, the question is also how much of the extended lifespan was due to the paracausality of the Traveler and its gifts and how much was just advancement in technology. Or a combination of both? If the majority of the lifespan extension was just due to technology, then this would've been lost post-Collapse. But possibly some of it could have been regained in the recent years, affecting the lifespans again.
One of the most obvious questions is Eris and the status of Lightless Guardians and aging. She lost her Light in the Great Disaster which was quite a while ago, but how long ago exactly? Long enough for this to affect her? Long enough to be noticeable or not? It doesn't seem to be very noticeable, so either it wasn't too long ago, or Guardians don't age even after losing their Light, or the lifespan is still extended so Eris is just old and it's not a big deal.
Eva is also a curious case, as we know very little about her life. She's very clearly an older woman, but we have no idea about when she was born. There's not a single mention of anything from her youth that would help us place it somewhere in the timeline. Has she been around for a normal amount of time or extended? She made one comment to Osiris (at the time Savathun, but Eva didn't know that):
"Eva. It's been too long. You look as bright as ever." Osiris melted out of the shadows near her doorway. The ex-outfitter snorted. "That's faint praise coming from someone who's been fifty for several centuries."
More under:
This can be read in several ways. it might just be a phrase because Guardians are known to not age. She knows Osiris must be the same as he was when he was rezed and she knows that he's been around for a while, given that he's a well-known Guardian. Or maybe she's also been around for a while and has seen him before; while she aged normally over the centuries, he didn't.
But that also becomes a problem with his exile because that would mean she would have to have seen him for a while before his exile and then years would've passed during the exile and she's still around now, which would make her quite significantly old (and would also prove extended lifespans). But we have no real proof of this.
Speaking of Osiris and his exile, there is one other specific piece of evidence, but it also depends A LOT on how well we can estimate when certain events happened.
Sister Faora! She led the Cult of Osiris at the time of Osiris' exile (and for ?? years after). We know this because she got to meet Osiris merely weeks after his exile:
The weeks since his departure from the Last City have worn on him.
The last time she appeared in the setting (in-game wise) was around House of Wolves; after that, she was no longer mentioned. I honestly thought she died of old age and that this wasn't important enough to mention because she's a fairly niche character.
But she didn't die. She appeared in the City during Season of the Deep. And it's not a story of something from the past, it's her being in the City in the present time because she meets with Shayura who is mourning Reed-7's death (which occured at the start of Lightfall). This now gives us a unique insight because she's a normal Lightless human, and we have two specific points of reference: Osiris' exile and the Witness' attack on Earth in Lightfall. We would just have to figure out how long it's been between these two events, which is where the problems start and assumptions must be made.
My first assumption is that Faora must've already been old-ish when she was the leader of the Cult back during Osiris' exile. I think it's reasonable to assume this, given her position as a leader. I always thought she would've been at least 40 or older at the time of speaking to Osiris after his exile.
The first problem is the timeline of Osiris' exile. We know he was exiled around Twilight Gap which brings us to problem 2: when was that? This leads to assumption 2: Twilight Gap happened at least a century ago. There's some evidence to this, namely Osiris saying the following:
They were young, and nearly a century of navigation through the Infinite Forest had honed Osiris's ability to remain unseen.
But does this refer to the time passing in general or the time dilation in the Forest? So the problems continue. It's basically impossible to tell what's the time span between these events; both the Great Disaster (for the question of Eris' age) and Twilight Gap are notoriously hard to place, even in relation to each other. This has been an ongoing debate for years.
If Twilight Gap is not that long ago - maybe a few decades - then Faora's age could probably be within normal limits, though depending on her age at the time of Osiris' exile, she could be pushing 100 or more. So even if Twilight Gap was less than 50 years ago, Faora could still be too old for non-extended lifespans.
She would have to have been in her 20s and Twilight Gap would have to be at max 50 years ago for her to be within a reasonable current age if the lifespan is not extended. Both of these estimates feel too low to me, especially Faora's age as an established leader of the Cult with a lot of authority. As I said, I imagined her being at least 40-50 at the time of speaking to Osiris.
And Twilight Gap has to be at least several decades away. I find it hard to believe that the Gap happened like 20 years ago; it's always talked about like Guardian history and its relation to Osiris' exile is fairly significant as well, so I'd give it at least a century, which also matches with Osiris' statement. If Twilight Gap happened at least a century ago and Faora was at least 40 at that time, she would have to be 140 right now which I think would suggest extended lifespan. However, depending on how we do the estimates, she could easily also be around 60-70.
But the truth is, we don't know. Much like the timeline, I think this is also very deliberately vague. I think it's very possible that the lifespans are still extended, or perhaps that there is some middle ground. The original Golden Age lifespans are still out of reach but the technological advancements in the current age combined with everything the Traveler has done to the system in the Golden Age allow for humans to push past what we have today. So maybe they can't get to the projected Golden Age 300 years, but possibly being 150 or 200 isn't out of reach.
Unfortunately, we don't really know for sure. We could probably go into analysis of every normal mortal human character mentioned and try to figure things out, but there will be confusing and contradicting evidence all over the place, keeping this fairly vague. And there would also be the issue of individual outliers; either those that live longer or die younger for reasons unrelated to aging.
Personally, I think lifespans are at the very least at least somewhat extended.

What would happen if bill cut his hair?
CAN he cut his hair? Is it like a Rapunzel in tangled the series type situation? Is he just not allowed? Would it turn into a bunch of smaller snakes? What if he shaved it? What then?
I’ve thought about this quite a bit and I need to know Eva
oooo this is an interesting one. let’s see if i can answer it and not create new plotholes accidentally. actually,,, lemme answer in the form of a not-fic-canon drabble >:D well, not-canon as far as the story, canon as far as the mechanics.
taking place as a variant of chapter 5 after ford bandages the stupid oyster shucking wound. tl;dr at end. a little bit suggestive. enjoy, or don’t, this is a little fucking stupid
⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂ ⠂⠄⠄⠂☆
The ex-deity sat upon the kitchen counter, legs crossed as he swirled his wine. Smiling in good humor, a bandaged cut on his hand, snakes atop his head slithering excitedly as though they, too, were laughing. The light of the sunset came in through the window and hit Bill’s face just right, illuminating his skin and smile a beautiful golden color.
It was then Ford thought to himself, how could something this beautiful possibly be a mistake?
Ford put the oysters into the oven and set an egg timer before moving back over to Bill, leaning on the island opposite the counter where Bill sat.
“You know, if we’re going to keep this a secret, those snakes are gonna give us away quick,” Ford stated. “Earlier today, we got lucky that I’d brushed them out right before Stanley saw us. If we were fighting and those damn snakes looked all happy, we’d be discovered quickly.”
Bill pondered for a moment. “You’re right. And it’s not like I can keep brushing them out all the damn time.”
The scientist tapped his chin thoughtfully. “Is… cutting them an option?”
“Huh. Guess I never thought about it,” Bill shrugged. He reached across the counter to the knife block, pulling out a pair of kitchen scissors which was immediately wrestled away from him.
“You’re not using sharp objects for a while,” Ford grumbled, putting the scissors back in the knife block. “Can’t you just ask your axolotl-therapist-guy anyhow?”
Bill pouted. “Awh, where’s the fun in that?” He hooked his leg around his partner’s knee. “Wouldn’t you rather find out for yourself?”
Ford couldn’t explain exactly why the action, or perhaps the way Bill said his words, made his heart stutter. “My muse, we’ve had enough problems with various parts of you getting cut already. If someone you can access already has the answer, it’d be much easier to—“
The blonde hummed quietly as he touched Ford’s chest, which managed to shut him up quickly. “Wasn’t it Gotthold Lessing who said something like—” He leaned in close to whisper in the scientist’s ear, “—If God were to hold all Truth concealed in his right hand, and in his left only the steady and diligent drive for Truth, albeit with the proviso that I would always and forever err in the process, and to offer me the choice, I would with all humility take the left hand. —?”
Ford refused to explain why that, also, made his heart stutter. “A-Are you trying… to quote philosophers… in order to get me to do something we both know would be stupid?”
Bill gave a little grin as he pulled away from Ford’s ear. “Is it turning you on a little bit?”
“I really don’t wanna answer that.”
The ex-deity handed his partner the kitchen scissors once more. “You can do the honors, smart guy.”
Ford snipped the scissors at thin air experimentally. “Should I just—“
“Yeah, just snip the head off one,” Bill said with a nod.
The scientist cringed at the suggestion. “That feels like decapitation.”
Bill rolled his eye. “They’re not alive, IQ. They’re made of hair. Just snip it!”
“No!” Ford protested. “At least brush them out first, so I don’t have to look in their eyes as I decapitate them!”
The ex-deity obliged, running a hand through his hair until the snakes disbanded into little strands of honey blond hair. “Happy?”
Ford gingerly took a lock of hair between two fingers, and snipped off what must’ve been five inches of Bill’s long hair. To his wonder, the lock appeared to spontaneously grow back at inhuman speeds, all the way to the length it was before he cut it.
“Astounding,” Ford marveled as the snakes began to reform in his very hand. One slithered up the side of Bill’s face to headbutt his forehead disapprovingly.
Just then, a chime rang from Bill’s prism watch. When he checked it, the message wasn’t anything like what he’d seen before.
DON’T DO THAT AGAIN.
“Hm, I suppose that settles it,” Ford conceded.
Bill looked up from the glowing face of his prism-watch. “Where are your clippers?”
Ford blinked with surprise. “Bill, the watch said—“
“Yeah, I know what the watch said, Sixer!” Bill exclaimed. “But goddamnit, I wanna have sex with you, and I do not want your brother to punch me in the face again! And getting rid of these damn telltale snakes is the only way to actually keep us a secret! So unless you have any better ideas, please, tell me— where are your clippers??”
⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂ ⠂⠄⠄⠂☆
“For the record, I still think this is a terrible idea,” Ford said, clippers buzzing in his hand.
“Come on!” Bill pleaded. “Worst case scenario, they grow back, and we try fire next.”
“No, worst case scenario is finding out you’re not only bald, but you have a lumpy head,” Ford muttered. “And it would be a shame if I had to break up with you for such a petty reason.”
Not finding the joke nearly as funny as his partner did, Bill flicked Ford’s forehead disapprovingly. “Just start shaving, smart guy.”
Hesitantly, Ford pressed the blade of the clippers to Bill’s hairline and dragged them from the front of his head to the back. He made quick work, like ripping off a band-aid, hoping to get the pain of losing his partner’s gorgeous hair done and over with. When he was done, he turned off the clippers and tried to suppress a grimace at how Bill looked with his new buzz-cut.
“Are they growing back?” Bill asked.
Ford carded through the centimeter-short hair, trying not to grieve the blond locks on the kitchen floor. “Doesn’t look like it.”
“Cool!” Bill replied, running his hands just across the top of his head. Ford withdrew his own hand, biting his tongue as to how much he disliked the new look.
Just as the scientist repressed his complaint, he saw something. The tiniest spark, coming from Bill’s control collar. Another tiny spark, and another.
Then, a not-so-tiny spark. One that made Bill jolt, then convulse, then scream. Ford could do nothing but watch as his partner’s every muscle forcibly contracted at the sudden electrocution. Between each flash of impossibly bright light, another few inches of Bill’s blonde hair grew back.
Only when Bill’s shirt began to smoke did the shocks stop coming. His hair, with newly reformed snakes, had grown back to their original length. Amidst panting and shaky breaths, the two heard another chime from Bill’s prism-watch.
I SAID NOT TO DO THAT. THE THERAPRISM HAS A BUDGET, YOU KNOW.
“Are you alright?” Ford asked, his hands clutching Bill’s shoulders like precious stones.
Bill let out a hiss of pain through his teeth. “Not exactly, ya genius.”
Ford bit the inside of his cheek, wincing at himself. “Sorry. Stupid question.”
“No, that’s… I was the one who…” Bill sighed, burying his head in Ford’s chest. “Y’know, for an all-knowing dream demon, and a genius with twelve PhD’s… we’re pretty stupid.”
The scientist chuckled, laughter running a little rumble down his pillowy chest that inexplicably soothed Bill.
“So, you said something about trying fire next?” Ford ribbed, burying his face in Bill’s newly regrown snake-hair.
Bill groaned at the mockery. “Absolutely not.”
“Oh, absolutely not? But what about Lessing? What about the steady and diligent drive for truth?” Ford teased.
“You’re an ass.”
“I know, why don’t we try acid next!” Ford suggested sarcastically. “Surely that’s a good idea!”
Rolling an eye, Bill placed a peck on Ford’s crackled little lips. “Would it kill you to shut up?”
“It would, actually,” Ford crooned, going soft at the gentle kiss. “Keep kissing me, though, and it might ease the pain of death.”
As much as Bill wanted to give his lover a slow and painful death for being such an obnoxious asshole, he did not. He opted, instead, for the kiss.

when the haircut so bad they electrocute u :(
Tumblr media
^ me but yapping 😎
tl;dr— bill’s snake hair has set length and doesn’t grow beyond that, so no practical needs for haircuts. he is Greatly Discouraged from cutting it (read: electrocution). if it is cut, it magically regrows to its set length. if it’s shaved, ford pitches a fit and it is Greatly Discouraged (read, once again: electrocution).
