Let me just mmm crawl out of my hole here.

I've been gone for a while. Life happened and is still happening, but I am safe and sound and return with a new dnd character!

This is Euodia, a circle of spores druid satyr! I am excited to play her soon and I really enjoyed scattering mushrooms all over her design!

I think I want to create a background for this one....

I will slowly post some other pieces I did over the past few months. I just didn't feel like posting anything. But I was still around! Just hiding. 👀

Euodia, Charikleia, and Uyanga! I have NO idea where they are timeline wise, but whatever it is, is after Tseren.

They're referred to as the triplets but that's just simplifying the fact that they were born on the same day. Euodia and Charikleia are the actual twins, and it's that fun situation of how fraternal twins can have entirely different sires. Meaning there's overlap between these three and who they're related to. Euodia is a surkysayle kid, Charikleia is an ysaylevenat kid, and Uyanga is a surkiestinien kid.

More in depth stuff below, because yeah discussion around pregnancy (planned and unplanned) and infertility but it's - at its core - more relationship dynamic stuff + relevant info about the kids

The actual twins are Ysayle's, and the plan was to have a child with Venat. The black hair is a thing because that's Ysayle's original hair color (hc) which ties back to her ancient self, Khione. This is also why she wanted to have a child with Venat because of how Venat wasn't able to have kids with her original partners due to Charon's dysphoria and Khione's infertility. So the plan was A child, but they weren't against the idea of twins; Ysayle just found the news a bit exhausting since Tseren wiped her out and she remembers how Surkie was with Yukiko and Toskr.

Same time as this, Surkie and Estinien talk about having another kid together since the first time they did was unplanned and right before an apocalyptic event, and having a second try at it when shit isn't falling apart and having it not be so damn stressful is something they would both like - especially since it gives Surkie an excuse to slow down and just not have to do WoL stuff for a year or so, which means more time with what kids they already have.

Obvs both groups talk it out and they're thinking that it's going to be staggered since they're now actively trying, but both Surkie and Ysayle are pregnant and very early on when this happens. Surkie's got the one kid, Ysayle turns out to have twins. They assume they're both Venat's, so seeing horns and scales confuses everyone and really deeply embarrasses Surkie for. Reasons. But that's part of why Euodia's name is Greek - Surkie refused to claim any naming rights to her. Venat literally doesn't care though, she thinks it's both funny and sweet - like why would she be against something that effectively encapsulated their triad?

All three were born on the same day so they're triplets for simplicity's sake. The fact that Venat can have kids in this vessel is something she's deeply grateful for and very emotional over - especially since said child looks so much like if she and Khione had managed to have a child. Because hi, I really like exploring that motherhood theme in Venat through her being a trans woman.

Euodia is likely to have similar weird stuff going on like Tseren, but it's Uyanga they're concerned about. They don't think there'll be much weird stuff wirh Charikleia, all things considered, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Uyanga, though, was carried by a parent who fused with a Voidsent and is a very terrifying dark knight, and sired by a coerthan elezen who's still got the whole nidhogg's aether going on. Hence the eyes, and hence concerns similar to Yukiko; except Yukiko was born before the Voidsent stuff. Uyanga is a major wildcard.

that's lucky! - ulysses butterfly

"the sign" brought back one of the most important non-speaking characters in the show--flappy the butterfly, an eye-catching ulysses butterfly. the females are a bit less vibrant, so this one is probably a male. they also don't keep those bright blue markings on the outside of their wings, but for animation's sake i'll give it a pass.

this pretty swallowtail was first seen in "slide", when lila and bingo saved it as a caterpillar (pictured here on an agapanthus plant). the caterpillars of this species are bright green with white markings. this helps them blend in with the leaves of the euodia tree, their favorite food.

with such a striking color, the ulysses butterfly is an iconic and beloved insect. in 2016, there were some concerns about the decline of the breeding population, but it seems like they've been able to bounce back. this little guy is indirectly responsible for much of the events of "the sign", and he deserves it! a pretty butterfly like this is too good to go unnoticed.

🌵- What did you start with first for your WIP? Worldbuilding, character, or plot?

I don't have a clear answer for this, since I usually work on all these things at the same time. Generally, I lean more towards character at the beginnings of my stories? Idk but I will share the general story about how The Proper Way to Break a Man if anyone is interested in hearing about the disaster worldbuilding project of a middle school me.

So back in middle school there were two people I was really close with, we talked all the time, we've fallen out of touch since then but (as far as I'm aware) we're not on bad terms. We used to have this discord roleplay server where we had a TON of stuff going on. There were like six kingdoms and way too many characters and plotlines to keep track of, it was a mess, but it was pretty fun. One of the kingdoms I created in that server was Silvarum, which is straight up just a Latin word. I can't find my conjugation charts to confirm if this is correct, but I think I chose it thinking the name meant 'of the forest,' and I bet you can't guess what the main biome of this kingdom was. So I decided 'okay forest kingdom' and basically just started throwing characters in it. I created Rasiel (originally Raziel) first for the main plot which was... something, I think originally the nobility of each kingdom was arguing over some land disputes and Raziel was the spoiled entitled asshole Queen that thought she deserved to take everyone else's land for no reason. She also had her wife Iodia (originally Euodia) at this time. These two characters have stayed pretty much the same since their original creation, the only real difference being that I learned to write them better and stopped making Euodia be a caricature of an abused 'i can fix him her' wife.

So those two existed for a while and I developed the kingdom more. It evolved from 'forest kingdom' to 'forest kingdom that has really advanced technology.'

Now I'm gonna talk about Pio because he's changed a LOT from his original creation. So in Silvarum I had characters mostly given Greek or Hebrew names, a few biblical names, and a few completely made up names, anyone who didn't fit those that I can remember was born in a different kingdom and immigrated there. Hebrew and Greek is already kind of a weird combo to draw names from but it's about to get weirder because out of nowhere i just decided... why not throw an Italian name in there? So among a bunch of Greek and Hebrew names we got Giuseppe 💀 don't ask me why i have no idea why I named him this. The original concept for his character was 'femboy detective' because of course it was. Anyway I can't remember how he went from that to being... whatever he is now but I did eventually change his name to Pio because I thought that was cute and it called to mind the word 'pious' which checks out for him. As for the plot I literally was thinking about how the religion of this kingdom would work, came up with the concept of Prophets and their Holy Children, and went 'hey what if Rasiel decides to do that and is just unnecessarily cruel to her Holy Children' and it spiraled from there.

Anyway I just used this as an excuse to ramble because I'm in a rambley mood today, hopefully that was at least somewhat entertaining. Dunno how to close this so here have a doodle I did a while ago of Rasiel and Pio genderbent :3

Another child from our upcoming campaign! This is Dereos and he is an Aasimar eldritch knight! He and Euodia have some history, as her archfey used the fact, that he is an Aasimar, to make him sort of anchor for Euodia to step into the prime.

Our first session starts monday! We only had a small prelude for our two characters recently. I am so excited 👀👀👀

Filipi 4:5 berbunyi: "Hendaklah kebaikan hatimu diketahui semua orang. Tuhan sudah dekat." Ayat ini memberikan arahan penting tentang bagaimana umat Kristen dapat menunjukkan kebaikan hati kepada semua orang:

Philippians 4:2-4 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life. Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.

The word "Joy" is repeated 16 times. When Paul wrote this book, he was in prison waiting to be executed. He was still able to have joy, to show care and concern for the church. How can he be happy in such a state? Can you be as happy as Paul is in your terrible situation?

How can we be truly happy?

1) Live in harmony with one another.

Philippians 4:2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.

These two are prominent leaders in the church. No matter who you are, you will encounter conflicts. As christians, it is important to forgive.

Mark 11:25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Matthew 5:23-24 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

This means that you are to stop worship if you have not reconciled with someone and you are do so before continuing.

Reconciliation is forgiveness in action. Go beyond forgiveness, to reconciliation.

When you reconcile, you bring the hurt and pain to light. And the devil can no longer use that against you.

Do you really want true happiness? You have to strive to live in harmony with everyone around you.

Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Romans 12:18 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.

Steps for reconciliation:

Do not focus on the differences but in what is common between you and that person.

Pray for the success of the other person.

Look for opportunities to show kindness in small ways.

Ask a friend/cell leader to hold you accountable in this area.

When ready or where necessary, arrange to settle the disagreements.

2) Live with contentment with the Lord.

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Philippians 4:11-12 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

Contentment is learnt best when we have everything. As humans we just want more and more and more but we need to learn to be content.

Ecclesiastes 2:10-11 I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. My heart took delight in all my labor, and this was the reward for all my toil. Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.

Covetousness is the desire for the possesions of others.

"Unhappy is the man who is not so much dissatisfied with what he has as with what the other has."

We have to choose to be contented and say that Christ is enough for us.

Truly Christ is enough for us. Do you truly want to be happy? The change will start with you. It has to. You need to obey by deciding that you will find contentment in the Lord.
