the school day was almost coming to an end as y/n walked back into the dreaded door of her class after going to the restroom.
she took a huge sigh as she sat back in her seat, not too far from the boy she liked, park sunghoon.
“okay class, since we’re just gonna be doing our assignment, i’m gonna let you guys move around. go ahead and sit where you like,” the teacher announced with a smile.
in seconds, students scrambled around to find their friends. y/n huffed out another sigh after realizing her friends were gone. min-su ditched, ji-woo got sick and stayed home, and dae was doing a make up test for another class.
“damn i really am alone today,” she mumbled to herself while taking out her phone.
sudden movements were made to her empty table and her eyes landed on two guy friends.
“you look lonely y/n,” one of them said with a smile.
she rolled her eyes at him. “shut up..,” she replied, laughing with a wide grin.
as her two friends sat in the table with her, she heard a clear scoff come from the back of her. y/n’s eyes widened, suddenly remembering that sunghoon most likely saw the two guys approach her — the two guys he didn’t recognize as their shared friends, but only hers.
she didn’t see it because she avoided his gaze, but the man was burning holes through the other two, sending glares as his tongue poked out of his cheek.
✩ ‘i don’t like the way he’s looking at you’ ✩
while her friend talked in her ear, she drowned it out with her attention lingering on hoon’s reaction that she couldn’t see.
“y/n?” her friend called out to her.
“hm? oh sorry,” she said with an apologetic smile. “continue on.”
as her friend yapped on and on, to which she was actually paying attention to, he immediately stopped once he noticed something distracting.
“oh my god y/n, guess who just sat next to him.” he harshly whispered next to her.
slowly, y/n draped her head over to where sunghoon was. her eyes blew up in shock — “mei?? mei’s sitting next to him?”
she felt her heartbeats in her throat, everything almost spinning in her head as she huffed out a sigh.
mei, her old friend who was deemed a little too toxic and got cut off from the friend group, decisively sat next to y/n’s known crush — sunghoon, who didn’t seem bothered at all.
“fuck,” she mumbled to herself, subtly rolling her eyes and turning her head back to her friends.
“you okay?” she heard one of them ask. she furiously shook her head — “no but.. it’s whatever. we’re not even together,” she said with a scoff.
“you’re definitely acting like you are,” the other friend said with a teasing laugh.
“i will end you,” y/n blatantly said with a straight voice. “whatever, it’s fine.”
she went back to her two male friends who were now making jokes about a game they played. soon after, her cousin, who was the girlfriend to one of her friends joined the group.
“hey y/n,” she greeted with an eye smile.
“hi eun!” y/n said back.
“did you see sunghoon with-“
“yes, we’re gonna move on from that.” y/n heaved, rolling her eyes before shaking her head.
at this point, she almost didn’t care if hoon and mei could hear her. she was clearly pissed and nothing could calm her down.
as eun opened her mouth to speak, a sudden notification from her cousin’s phone stopped her. y/n’s eyes immediately checked in hopes that one of her friends had responded to her text, only to receive one from sunghoon.
‘You okay, y/n?’
y/n immediately scoffed, turning her head to the side of where hoon was.
his eyes that poked through his glasses suddenly met hers as they almost sat side by side, the little space between the tables separating them apart. she nearly softened at how meaningful he looked, almost apologizing with just his eyes that she could get lost in.
she fell hard for him.
“hoonie??” y/n suddenly heard mei call to him.
her eyes widened and she automatically let out a loud scoff. she let her eyes blink repeatedly as she watched her so-called situationship look back at the girl. she swiped her tongue through her teeth in jealousy, unable to calm down her heart rate at the name call.
“hoonie?” she guffawed with an eye roll. “hoonie???”
her voice slightly raised, catching the rest of her friends attention.
“did you just hear what she said?” she harshly criticized to the group, folding her arms and trying to calm down before sunghoon was fully aware.
“she’s just messing with you, y/n. you know that, don’t let it get to you.” her cousin comforted with her brows knitted together in a reassurance look.
y/n’s hands tightened into a fist, nails digging into the flesh as she began growing envious of her old friend called mei.
however, a sudden squeak in her chair was made when she moved around. it became her breaking point when she stood with a groan, going to the front of the class and picking up a perfectly fine chair to replace the loose one she sat in.
as she walked back to her table where her friends were, her eyes instantly landed on mei by accident — noticing a soft scoff and eye roll appear on her face towards her before attempting to get close to sunghoon.
y/n’s mouth gaped open in shock, turning to look at the boy if he saw, only to see that he gave her a blank face. no expression nor emotion was displayed, and it only brewed more rage in the girl he liked.
‘so that’s how it is then?’ she thought to herself with an amused grin forming on her face — ‘fine, i can play that game too.’
y/n moved her position from almost side to side with him, to facing her full back against him. she could no longer see his handsome features that paired perfectly with his glasses as the back of their heads almost bunked against each others with the same, pissed demeanor.
the two guy friends and her cousin awkwardly looked at each other, sharing the same glance that screamed — ‘should we do something?’
“go on,” y/n said with a monotone voice, gesturing for them to continue on with their topic in gaming.
as class continued on for a few minutes longer, her friends remained talking as she kept quiet — feeling best to not say much as the thought of her crush and her old friend consumed her.
she’d hear the faked out giggles from mei and the awkward laughs directed from sunghoon, both floating through her ears.
her eyes were almost filled with tears with the thought of them enjoying each other’s presence.
y/n indeed could not play the game.
she bit her lips, almost piercing through the barrier of flesh as she pleaded to not let tears fall because of something so stupid.
her hands shakily pulled out her phone, texting her other friend group who was gone for the day.
‘i really really wish you guys were here..’
‘why do you guys have to be gone :(‘
as y/n was about to send another text, her friend’s whisper caught her attention — “you okay y/n??”
his mouth was close to her ear, sending a soft shiver down her spine as she slightly backed away with watery eyes.
“yeah, i’m fine.” she pressed her lips into a half smile to reassure that she was okay.
a quiet, almost nonexistent click of the tongue was heard in y/n’s ears. her head slightly turned where the sound came from — only catching on to see that hoon had his head turned as well.
from what she didn’t know was that his eyes were shooting daggers at the male who seemed a little too close to her for his liking. he’d turn around just to glare for a second, hating how insanely close he was.
when hoon got up to sharpen his pencil and come back to his chair, she noticed the jealous boy roll his eyes before slowly curling the inner corner of his lips.
he turned his gaze away from her, replying back to mei with whatever words he had in his mouth.
y/n scoffed before looking at her friend who was awkwardly in between the mess.
“sorry, just got distracted.” she spoke with a bitter taste in her mouth.
her friend chuckled. “yeah i noticed, you’re down bad for him.”
her mouth opened in shock. “what..? no i’m not!” she immediately sent a smack to him, laughing loudly at how hurt he got.
sunghoon’s eyes quickly went to her after hearing the sound of her giggles he’s been wanting to hear all day.
man, was he wishing he was in that guy’s position right now.
he harshly sucked his teeth with his tongue as he blocked out the remaining words he couldn’t process from mei.
✩ ‘i’m starting to think you want him too’ ✩
. . ‱ ☆ . ° .‱ °:. *₊ ° . ☆
long minutes passed within the time left for the school day.
with y/n and sunghoon facing back against each other, tension filled the air as they provoked one another.
the two were petty, and they intended staying petty.
their heads would turn to the side here and there, just to catch a quick glance at the tuffs of each others hairs.
no one could break the prolonged silence between them.
y/n was trying her best to not let hoon win and see how jealous she was.
she wasn’t a jealous girl, she never was.
but seeing him with someone she doesn’t talk to anymore sparked something she didn’t know she could feel. he was talking to that girl like they talked on a daily basis, and it annoyed her.
with the way she was obviously flirting and trying to be sweet with him had y/n poking her tongue out through her cheek.
it fueled fire in her blood.
sunghoon wasn’t accepting the advances mei was making on him, but he wasn’t exactly shooting them down either. that’s what annoyed y/n. he was just provoking her, and he was doing it well.
but even if he was kind of winning, he was failing the game himself.
✩ ‘am i crazy? have i lost you?’ ✩
although she didn’t use her guy friends to make sunghoon jealous, he already was just by catching how close she was with them.
the friend would occasionally talk to her about personal details from his workplace since they both used to work at the same job.
through constant times, hoon had his eyes on her longer than intended. they’d just automatically land on her like a magnet. he’d squint and dart his gaze at how his lips nearly touched her face. he just couldn’t help the possessive feeling.
✩ ‘i’m getting red in the face’ ✩
she was his girl even if they weren’t together yet.
✩ ‘you can call me obsessed’ ✩
he rolled his eyes whenever he thought her male friend would get a little too close every time he practically breathed in her ear. he wished he did something other than watch, but their little game was too far into it — and neither wanted to lose anyway.
to be quite honest, they didn’t even know why they were being petty and making each other jealous. it just happened.
so when class ended and the school day finally finished, y/n waited for everyone to leave class before she left like usual.
“bye, y/n! i’ll let my mom know about the family gathering.” her cousin bid her goodbye, waving her hands before walking out with her boyfriend.
the other friend exited from the class as well, telling her that work was calling his name. y/n laughed to herself as she purposely walked out in a slow pace, letting time pass.
however, as soon as she walked out, she felt a hand fling to her wrist — the grasp tightening as she suddenly got pulled to a more vacated area. she shook her head in confusion, looking up to the person who owned the hand that held onto her.
it was sunghoon, of course it was.
he was holding back for her to walk out, knowing she always waited to be the last.
as he waited, his head leaned against the school wall, eyes glancing at each person to make sure she didn’t leave without him knowing. when he noticed her two guy friends walk out, he specifically gave the one who talked to her a little too much for his liking, a stank eye.
✩ ‘it’s my right to be hellish’ ✩
his hold on her strengthened as he thought back to how close he was to her — steam practically coming out of his ears.
✩ ‘i still get jealous’ ✩
“geez hoon! stop tightening your hold,” y/n complained with a disgusted look.
sunghoon rolled his eyes at her. “are you going out with him or are you going out with me?” he angrily spat impulsively.
she blinked repeatedly to process his sudden words. “w..what? excuse me? first of all, we’re not even dating.” she said with a scoff.
“o..oh.. that’s right
,” he mumbled, biting his lip and closing his eyes — wanting to smack his own head at the moment.
“and i should be the one asking you that. are you going out with mei now?”
sunghoon scoffed, a satisfied smile curling onto his lips. “i thought we weren’t dating?”
“we aren’t, but i’d like to know if you’re actually into me so i don’t waste my time here.” y/n gritted through her teeth, wanting to slap the smile off of his face.
“of course i am.”
her heart skipped a beat for a second as blood suddenly rushed to her cheeks.
but she rolled her eyes in attempt to look unfazed as she said, “yeah right. seems like you’d rather go out with mei instead. you’d like that, wouldn’t you? going out with someone like her.”
she watched his face grow in confusion, and possibly disgust as she continued — “actually, you should go out with her since you just couldn’t get away from her the entire class. was it fun, hoon? talking to the girl who almost split my friends up?” she angrily raged, clenching her jaw in annoyance.
sunghoon scoffingly chuckled in response. “and was it fun to have your guy friend’s mouth close up in your ear? was it something enjoyable with how you always laughed and hit him afterward, hm?” his eyes grew dark as it still softly glistened with pain.
he furthered his steps closer to y/n, ultimately trapping her between him and the painted wall. her eyes stared straight at him, a hint of betrayal also displayed in her gaze as she didn’t respond back.
hoon exhaled a deep sigh before reaching out to hold her hand. his demeanor instantly becoming soft as he felt a relief wash over him once he came in contact with her hands.
“y/n
,” he gently called.
she was now looking down, half to hide away her blushing cheeks and half to ignore him. she shook her head as a response for him.
“maybe we should just talk another time,” the doubting girl spoke, trying to dangle her hands out of his hold, even if she didn’t want to — only to be forcibly back in his tight grip.
she gulped at the action, looking back up at him to see that he was shaking his head.
“let’s talk now,” he said while refusing to let go of their hands still clinging to each other.
“hoon
,” she faintly scowled with a soft voice.
“i like you,” sunghoon suddenly blurted. “i like you y/n. not mei, never mei. i shouldn’t have let her sit next to me, i wish i moved but i was jealous. i hated how close he was to you, i hated it so much.” he sucked in a breath of air once his lips made a firm line in humiliation.
y/n couldn’t help her inner corner lips curl as she heard his confession, it was almost like a reflex.
“oh god.., i like you too hoon.. and yeah, i was jealous too
,” she shyly admitted, closing her eyes instantly to avoid his shit eating grin.
“yeah? you were jealous? i kind of like knowing that it wasn’t just me.” he replied, raising his brows in amusement.
she shut her eyes again, sending a smack as she said, “shut up! you were more jealous than i was!” she cackled out a laugh whilst watching him smile widely in return. “are you gonna let go of my hand now?”
“no, why would i?” sunghoon’s eyes lightened with delight. “we’re together now.” he brought y/n’s hand up to his lips, placing a quick kiss on it — earning a gasp from her.
“you didn’t even ask me out!” she cracked a smile as she furrowed her brows at him.
hoon playfully rolled his eyes. “y/n, will you go out with me?”
“mm.. no! go ask out mei,” she teased with a grin.
the girl attempted to leave the scene, getting out of his hold for a second — actually believing that she’d flee successfully, just for her to get pulled back in his grip. hoon’s arms flung around her body, holding her back as the two laughed together.
“sunghoon!!”
the smitten male behind her closed his eyes in bliss, wiggling with his arms around her.
“i’d rather go out with you, i think you match me more.”
“you think or you know?” y/n emphasized, turning to face him with an eyebrow raise.
hoon took a pause, side eyeing from his left vision to the right before placing a soft kiss on her lips.
“sunghoon!” she quickly whined, hands hitting his arms as he only chuckled.
his ears became red, blushing all over in how cute she was being. watching how she struggled to get out of his strong hold was a heart skip to him. a smile coiled onto his face as he leaned in for another kiss.
their lips met, breaths on each others while he softly pushed on hers. hoon lowly groaned with his glasses falling to the tip of his nose, finally feeling her lips kiss back after having their small argument.
this was definitely the highlight of the day for him.
his hands met her warm cheeks, pulling her face closer to his as he smiled against her lips. she felt them gently move, causing her to grin as well before pulling away — loving the smitten look on his face for her.
“wow you let go of my hand.” y/n teased, putting her hand up on display for him to see. sunghoon only laughed, shaking his head as he replied — “fine, i’ll let you win this one.”
he quickly ruffled her hair, letting it fall messy to the front of her face to smile even more in amusement.
“sunghoon..!”
“i’m congratulating you!” the boy defended, putting his hands up in the air like he was in trouble.
y/n rolled her eyes, smacking him like always before intertwining their hands together.
“whatever, let’s just go.” she said, feeling his fingers tighten around her hand.
“that’s my gorgeous girl,” sunghoon complimented. he placed a longing kiss on her cheek, only for her to playfully wipe it off.
“hey!”
she chortled out a laugh, dodging his other attempts on kissing her cheek.
after a few more tries, the poor boy finally got to kiss his girlfriend.
y/n sighed, letting him win in satisfaction as they both left school together, hand in hand.
they were finally dating, and nothing could no longer separate them. their situationship was over but their relationship had just begun.

Five years ago
“Come on! Let me take you out. You don’t even have to think about the breakup anymore,” Taehyung called out, trailing after Jungkook as he moved from his bedroom to the kitchen, then back again.
Namjoon had texted Taehyung earlier, saying Jungkook had been sulking around the apartment for days. The breakup was mutual—or so Jungkook claimed—but it was still a gut punch. He and his girlfriend had been together since the start of college, and the shift from something so constant to nothing at all wasn’t easy to navigate. Jungkook hadn’t gone into much detail, just muttering something about them not wanting the same things anymore.
His silence, though, was worrying his friends.
Jungkook barely acknowledged Taehyung, focused on shoving notes and books into his backpack. “I can’t, Tae. I have to meet my project partner.” he muttered, his voice laced with mild frustration.
Taehyung leaned casually against the doorway, arms crossed, a knowing smirk playing on his lips. “The one who already doesn’t like you? Sounds like a good enough excuse to put it off.”
“I can’t,” Jungkook said, sharper this time. “She already doesn’t like me, so being late will just make it worse. I’m barely tolerated as it is. We’ve been working on this for weeks, and it’s been nothing but cold shoulders and annoyed muttering.” He slung his backpack over his shoulder, heading for the front door.
Taehyung wasn’t giving up so easily. “So...is this the same partner you were complaining about before?”
“Yes.” Jungkook groaned, not breaking stride.
“Well, maybe I should come along. I’m great with people. Could smooth things over—”
“No,” Jungkook cut him off, opening the door. “Anything connected to me seems to make it worse.”
Taehyung kept pace, still grinning. “But you’re already late. What’s five more minutes? I can be a neutral third party. Mediate, make her laugh, maybe even—”
“No.” Jungkook protested again, but Taehyung followed him. Then kept following him all the way to the library.
Once inside, Jungkook scanned the study area. He spotted you almost immediately at a small table in the corner, papers spread around you like a protective barrier. You were frowning, your hand moving quickly across a page as you scribbled something down, a furrow of frustration etched between your brows.
“Alright, time for you to leave.” Jungkook hissed, spinning around and shoving at Taehyung’s shoulder.
But Taehyung wasn’t going anywhere. He caught sight of you, and his playful expression shifted to one of delight. His mouth fell open, and then a slow, mischievous smile tugged at his lips. “Well, hello, gorgeous.” he muttered under his breath.
Jungkook frowned. “What?”
“You didn’t mention she was hot.” Taehyung said, his grin only widening and a wiggle to his eyebrows. “I can work with this.”
Jungkook groaned, grabbing at Taehyung’s arm to stop him, but Taehyung sidestepped him easily, practically skipping as he made his way over to you. You were deep into some calculations for your math class and you felt like you were going insane when someone sat across from you, you peered up to see a stranger swiftly pulling out another chair at your table.
“Hi.” He said warmly, tilting his head as if he’d just stumbled into a casual coffee chat.
Raising an eyebrow to him, you blinked, your pencil pausing mid-air. “Hi? I’m sorry, do I know you?”
Taehyung shook his head, “No, I’m Taehyung.” He held a hand out to you to shake.
You hesitated for a beat, then placed your hand in his for a quick, polite shake. “Nice to meet you, Taehyung. I don’t mean to be rude, but I’m actually waiting for someone.”
“Ah, don’t worry. I won’t take up too much of your time.” Taehyung said smoothly, leaning back in his chair. “I’m here on a mission.”
You let out a heavy sigh, “If it’s to ask for my number or anything like that. I’m not interested.”
Taehyung waves you off, not that he would mind slipping you his number, “Nothing of the sort
I mean unless you like what you see.” Taehyung leans back posing in his chair, and you can’t help but laugh at the absurdity of him. “I’m actually here to get some information.”
“Okay?” You cross your arms over your chest, an amused grin on your face. Jungkook from a small distance amazed you haven’t bitten Taehyung's head off.
Taehyung nodded gravely, but his eyes sparkled with mischief. “I’ve come on behalf of my dear, troubled friend, Jungkook.”
Your polite smile faded instantly, replaced by a tight line of irritation. Casting a quick glance past Taehyung. Sure enough, Jungkook was standing a short distance away, half-hidden behind a bookshelf. His expression torn between embarrassment and dread. “I have to apologize Taehyung–”
“You can call me Tae.” He grins with a wink,  and you roll your eyes.
“Okay Tae. I don’t know you well enough to get into all those details.”
“How about we have dinner and discuss it then?” Taehyung scoots his chair closer to yours leaning his arms on the table. Just at that moment a hand comes down on Taehyung's shoulder, he glances up to see an annoyed Jungkook towering above him.
“That’s enough.” Jungkook wants to avoid your annoyance at him increasing any further by Taehyung's antics.
“You’re late,” you said pointedly, your tone icy as you picked your pencil back up and focused on your notes. Refusing to look at Jungkook.
“Can you see why?” Jungkook gestured to Taehyung and took another seat at the table. Taehyung rubbing his chin glancing between the two of you with some amusement.
“Wow, there really is some hostility here
almost electric.” Taehyung leaned back in his chair, rubbing his chin thoughtfully as his gaze shifted between you and Jungkook. His grin was as sharp as a knife, cutting through the tension with deliberate ease. “For the sake of Jungkook’s sanity—and mine—I have to know. Did he ghost you? Forget a birthday? Sleep with you and never call you again?”
Your eyes widened, disbelief freezing you for a beat before your voice finally squeaked out, “Excuse me?”
“Tae.” Jungkook kicks his leg under the table and Taehyung winces.
“I was just curious!” Taehyung raises both of his arms up in surrender, “Seriously, what did he do?” He pressed, eyes sparkling with mischief as he ignored Jungkook’s obvious irritation.
You shifted in your seat, feeling caged in under their expectant stares, but your posture stayed composed. You refused to let them see you squirm. “I thought I already said I don’t know you well enough for the details?” You replied coolly, hoping to deflect.
“Well,” Taehyung said, clearing his throat as if settling in for a monologue. “I’m Kim Taehyung. I’m a Capricorn. I enjoy wine and find most other alcohol kind of overrated. Jungkook’s one of my closest friends, like, ever. I love dogs, but I have a massive respect for cats. See? We know each other better already.”
His brazen confidence was so unexpected it caught you off guard, drawing a small laugh from your lips despite yourself. “That’s all fine and good,” You said, shaking your head, “but this is personal, Tae.”
“Can I at least put in a good word for him?” Taehyung raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow, gesturing toward Jungkook like he was trying to sell a piece of furniture.
You hesitated, glancing at Jungkook than back to Taehyung. “Alright.”
Jungkook was surprised you were even entertaining his theatrics. Taehyung’s face lit up in triumph, and he shot Jungkook a smug look before leaning in like he was about to share a juicy secret. “Okay, listen. Whatever he did to earn this
frustration from you, I can guarantee it wasn’t on purpose. Either that, or he’s completely oblivious. Probably the second one, honestly.”
You tried not to let his words affect you, but the sincerity in his voice was hard to ignore. He didn’t seem like he was messing with you.
“Here’s the thing,” Taehyung continued, his tone dropping lower as if the next part was especially important. “Jungkook’s one of the best people I know. Seriously. He’s somewhat dumb sometimes, sure, but he’s also loyal and
well, kind of a big softie. I think whatever’s going on here is probably just a huge misunderstanding.”
You blinked, caught off guard by the honesty in his words.
Then, as if he couldn’t resist, Taehyung grinned again and reached over to pinch Jungkook’s cheek. “Plus, he’s a big baby and such a cutie, right?”
Jungkook groaned, swatting Taehyung’s hand away. “Stop.”
“No, seriously,” Taehyung insisted, turning to you with exaggerated curiosity. “He’s cute, right?”
You froze like a deer in headlights, eyes darting between them. “I mean
he’s alright, I guess.” you said, shrugging in an attempt to play it cool. It wasn’t like you hadn’t noticed Jungkook’s looks, they were hard to miss, but you weren't really on the market these days.
“Okay, but what about me?” Taehyung tilted his head, all innocent. “Am I more than just ‘alright’?”
“Goodbye, Taehyung.” Jungkook stood abruptly, tugging Taehyung up from his seat. “We’re leaving.”
Jungkook got up from his seat trying to pull Taehyung away from his own. Taehyung resists for a moment, snatching your pencil to quickly scribble his number down on a blank piece of paper you had out.
“Call me.” Taehyung lifts his hand up to hear ear to motion for you to call, as he is getting dragged away by Jungkook. Far out of your sight from your table. You glance down at the number, it was poorly written but you could still make it out.
You knew you wouldn’t call but Taehyung's genuine honesty and unabashed personality was a breath of fresh air. At least you could really only hope everything he said was real and not him covering for Jungkook.
After a minute Jungkook returned to the table, annoyance written all over his face. He took his seat again with a heavy sigh. “Sorry
 about him.”
“Oh, it’s okay. I could tell he meant well.” You brush him off and continue to write something in your notebook. “Seems like a good friend.”
“He is.” Jungkook nods, finally taking the time to pull out his own books and notes. “Just a tad nosy.”
“You think?” You raise an eyebrow with a small smile, presenting the phone number. “Severely cocky too.”
Jungkook laughs, shaking his head at the horribly written numbers on the page. “Yeah, you’re welcome to burn that.”
.ăƒ»ă€‚.ăƒ»ă‚œâœăƒ».ăƒ»âœ«ăƒ»ă‚œăƒ»ă€‚.ăƒ»ă€‚.ăƒ»ă‚œâœăƒ».ăƒ»âœ«ăƒ»ă‚œăƒ»ă€‚.ăƒ»ă€‚.・
Present Day
Taehyung had always been nosy, maybe even intrusive at times. He really just liked being in people's business and being in the know. This time though, he just happened upon this information and wasn’t really trying to be involved. He really couldn’t help himself in this case.
“If you tell me what’s going on with you and Y/N.” Taehyung said, propping his chin in the palm of his hand. His elbow rested on the table as he studied Jungkook with a knowing glint in his eye.
“What are you talking about?” he asked, his voice steady, though a flicker of unease slipped into his tone. He casually raised his drink to his lips, taking a slow sip as if the conversation was of no consequence.
Taehyung grinned wider, his head tilting. “Oh, come on. Don’t play dumb. I saw you.”
Jungkook frowned faintly, still feigning confusion. “Saw me what?” Jungkook didn’t react—not outwardly, at least. Years of navigating intense courtroom scrutiny made him a master of keeping a cool exterior. But beneath the surface, his pulse quickened.
“You and Y/N. Leaving together after emo night.”
Jungkook blinked once, twice. “Okay?”
“Okay?” Taehyung repeated, drawing the word out mockingly. He leaned forward just enough to make Jungkook feel cornered. “Y/N wouldn’t share a fry with you, let alone a ride home. It doesn’t add up. So I started thinking.” He paused, tapping his fingers rhythmically on the table, each tap feeling like a provocation. “At first, I let it go. People share cars sometimes, sure. But then Jimin mentioned you’ve been acting... off. Quiet. Weird.”
“It’s called maturity,” Jungkook quipped dryly. “You should try it sometime.”
Taehyung snorted, leaning back in his chair. “Maturity? You? The guy who stress-ate three bags of gummy worms during trial prep and then tried to convince us it was a ‘tactical’ decision?”
“They were sour gummy worms,” Jungkook shot back defensively. “Completely different vibe.”
“Sure but you’re usually unbearable before a trial.” Taehyung raised a brow. “Pacing around, running through every tiny detail like your life depends on it. Hell, last time you made me and Namjoon sit through your entire case just to ‘practice.’ You even roped Melanie into being the jury. Still can’t believe she ruled against me.”
“She has great judgment,” Jungkook quipped, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth.
Taehyung rolled his eyes. “Sure, sure. But here’s the thing: this time? No pacing, no rambling, no pestering me to play the opposing counsel. Just radio silence. It’s weird.”
Jungkook shrugged, his shoulders stiff with tension. “Maybe I’ve gotten better at managing my stress.”
Taehyung snorted. “Yeah, right.” He turned in his seat to face Jungkook fully, his expression sharpening. “When Jimin said something, I started piecing it together. Thinking on the last few weeks. I thought maybe it was family related but, you hadn’t mentioned anything recently. So then I thought, who’s the only person who throws you off your game? Y/N.”
Jungkook’s stomach dropped, but he kept his face neutral. Barely.
“I also thought it might have just been the forced proximity. You two always go nuclear when you spend too much time in the same 500 yards. Except I remembered how weird you two were acting at the wedding, and how you guys disappeared for a while during the rehearsal dinner.” Taehyung continued, his voice dropping just enough to feel like a warning shot. “You think I didn’t notice?” He tilted his head, his gaze cutting. “So, one more time—what’s going on with you and Y/N?”
A silence hung between them in quiet confirmation. Jungkook's face was hot and he was flustered, but also
filled with relief? Like a weight was lifted? Jungkook hadn’t told anyone what had been going on with you two but Taehyung figuring it out made it suddenly so easy. It had all gotten him so wound up and freaked out that he hadn’t realized how much he really wanted to talk. Talk it through, you certainly weren’t going to want to discuss it.
Taehyung’s face morphed into a relaxed and understanding grin, clearly reveling in his own detective work. “Hey, listen. If you’re not ready to talk about it
whatever! I think it’s great. Whatever it is, friendship, relationship, sex. You’re both adults. Have fun.”
Jungkook let out a breathless laugh, adjusting in his seat. “I don’t even know what’s going on. Definitely not a relationship, I’ll tell you that much.” His lips curled into a shy smile, but his voice carried an edge of uncertainty.
Taehyung nodded knowingly, leaning back in his chair. “Well, start by telling me how this all started.”
Jungkook hesitated for a moment, organizing his thoughts. “What’s weird is that, thinking about it now, it feels
insane. We fought at the rehearsal dinner. Like, properly fought. Then we went outside to cool off, and I don’t know—something shifted. We started talking about how we’re terrible at communicating. Like, talking has never worked for us.” He paused, running a hand through his hair. “So, I said maybe we should try something else. Something physical.”
Taehyung’s eyebrows shot up. “You suggested that?”
“Yeah. Why is that surprising?”
“Because Y/N would never suggest that, and you’re usually too uptight to even think about it.” Taehyung took a long, deliberate sip of his drink, clearly enjoying the moment. “So you guys
?” He trailed off, leaving the question hanging even though it was painfully obvious.
Jungkook sighed and gave a reluctant nod.
“Oh my god,” Taehyung said, leaning forward with wide eyes and a grin. “I knew you two had chemistry.”
Jungkook frowned. “No, you didn’t.”
“Did too! The first time I met Y/N, it was so obvious. Sure, she was silently plotting your demise, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t heat. You can have tension and attraction, you know.”
Jungkook rolled his eyes, but a small smile tugged at his lips despite himself. “You’re delusional.”
“So,” Taehyung pressed, clearly not planning to drop the subject anytime soon, “How does Emo Night fit into this?”
Jungkook leaned back, exhaling slowly. “Honestly
it’s kind of a blur. We were fighting, then we weren’t. Then we were laughing, and the next thing I knew, we were going back to my place.”
Taehyung let out a low whistle, giving Jungkook a congratulatory pat on the shoulder. “Wow. Good for you. It was only a matter of time.”
Jungkook blinked at him, confused. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
Taehyung shrugged like it was the most obvious thing in the world. “I mean, come on. You’re both hot. You’re both single. Nothing wrong with playing around and seeing what happens.”
Jungkook hesitated, his expression shifting. “I don’t think it’ll happen again.”
“Why not?” Taehyung asked, his tone light but his gaze probing.
Jungkook shifted uncomfortably, his hands fidgeting in his lap. “I don’t know. Every time it’s happened, I’ve felt this
weird sense of guilt afterward. Like I’m doing something I shouldn’t. It’s hard to explain, but it’s like I’m not even living in my own skin.” He hesitated, then added, “I’m not the type to just hook up, you know that. I don’t have the time or the mindset for it.”
Taehyung tilted his head, studying him thoughtfully. His voice was softer this time, almost careful. “Do you feel guilty because you think you’re not supposed to? Or is it because it actually feels good, but since it’s with Y/N, you’re telling yourself it shouldn’t be happening?”
The question caught Jungkook off guard. He blinked, his brow furrowing as he thought about it. “I
 don’t know.”
Taehyung chewed on his lip for a moment, his expression pensive. “If I’m not overstepping,” he said cautiously, “I think you are enjoying yourself. And sure, I know you only like to sleep with people if you’re considering a relationship—”
“That’s the thing,” Jungkook cut in, his tone sharper than he’d intended. “I’m not looking for anything right now. Let alone with Y/N.”
“That’s not what I’m saying.” Taehyung held up a hand, his voice calm but insistent. “I’m saying maybe
let the chips fall where they may.”
Jungkook frowned, his confusion evident. “What do you mean?”
Taehyung leaned back in his seat, his fingers drumming lightly against the tabletop as he chose his words. “You’ve had so much going on in the last year. Maybe this—whatever it is—is happening at the perfect time. It doesn’t have to mean anything. It doesn’t have to be forever. But maybe it’s exactly what you need right now.”
Jungkook snorted, shaking his head. “I’m not like you. I can’t just sleep around. Plus, work takes up all my time.”
Taehyung laughed lightly, a teasing lilt in his voice. “Oh, I’m not saying with just anyone or all the time. I’m saying just whenever it comes about naturally
 with Y/N.”
“No way.”
“Yes way,” Taehyung said, grinning now. “Funny enough, I think Y/N is perfect for this. She’s not going to get attached to you, and you already know you have chemistry. It’s like the universe handed you the ideal situation on a silver platter.”
“No,” Jungkook said firmly, shaking his head again. “It’s too complicated with Y/N. It shouldn’t happen again.”
“Why not?” Taehyung pressed, his teasing grin fading into something more thoughtful. His voice softened, but the curiosity behind it remained sharp. “Have you even talked to her about it? Like, actually talked?”
Jungkook let out a dry laugh, the sound short and humorless, as he rubbed his chin. “Sort of. Not really. We talked about the wedding for about five seconds, and then we fought about
 well, the last time.”
Taehyung snorted, propping his elbows on his knees as he leaned forward. “Wow, groundbreaking. Gossip of the century. You and Y/N fighting? Stop the presses, I’m shocked.” His voice was thick with sarcasm, and the smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth made Jungkook glare.
“You act like conversations come easy for us,” Jungkook shot back, his tone defensive.
Taehyung tilted his head, his expression shifting to something softer—almost amused. “You know,” he began, his voice thoughtful, “I’ve gotten to know Y/N pretty well over the years. She’s not as stubborn as you make her out to be. If anything, she’s way softer than she lets on.”
Jungkook looked at him sharply, his brow furrowing. “Okay?”
“It means,” Taehyung said patiently, “you should at least try.  Y/N is actually pretty reasonable once you sit down and actually talk to her.”
“Talking to her isn’t as simple as you’re making it sound,” Jungkook muttered, his fingers fidgeting with the hem of his hoodie.
Taehyung raised an eyebrow. “You talk to people you don’t even like all the time at work. How is this any different?”
“Where do you think I got all that practice?” Jungkook retorted dryly.
Taehyung let out a bark of laughter, his head tilting back briefly before he fixed Jungkook with a pointed look. “Fine. You’re going to Namjoon’s tomorrow, right?”
“Of course.” Jungkook said, crossing his arms like the question was ridiculous.
“Perfect,” Taehyung said, clapping his hands together. “There’s your opportunity. Just try to have a normal conversation with her. Just
be casual. You can do that, can’t you?”
Jungkook raised an eyebrow. “Do you even know me?”
Taehyung ignored the jab, waving a dismissive hand. “I’m serious. You don’t have to solve the world’s problems tomorrow. Just talk. And for the love of all that’s holy, keep your clothes on. Since that seems to be difficult for you two now.”
“Alright I’ll try.” Finishing off his drink, Jungkook stood. “I should go now. I need to get some more work done tonight.” Jungkook started to leave when Taehyung called after him.
“Hey!” Taehyung called after him as Jungkook made his way to the door. “Just think about it, alright? You might even realize I’m right. It happens more often than you’d think!”
Jungkook just waved to him as he left. He was going to make his way up to his car but he paused. Pulling out a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket. Taking one and lighting it. He hadn’t been smoking as often lately, but he felt he deserved one after the success of the week. Jungkook took a long drag letting the smoke fill his lungs before blowing it out through his nose. A small buzz washed through him, cigarettes didn’t really have the same hit these days but couldn't quite kick the habit.
He knew the smell would stick to him, would linger and cling to these clothes. He started to walk up the street to his car. Just finishing off the cigarette slowly and making sure he was more than safe to drive. Thinking about what Taehyung told him, he hadn’t thought he had been so stressed. Hooking up with you continuously was just a recipe for disaster, it had to be. He was just asking for something to go wrong and you two were always on thin ice as it was. Not that Jungkook would ever bring up any of Taehyungs advice to you
 again.
Last time was the last time, a very specific set of circumstances had to come together for the last two times to even work out.
All though Jungkook had become the furthest thing from your mind this evening. You were entering the hospital at the ungodly hour of 10:30pm because you decided yeah I can totally switch shifts this weekend! I haven’t done a night shift in a while so this will be fine! You are majorly regretting it now. You had slept most of the day but you were still somehow exhausted.
“Good morning beautiful.” Vic greeted you as you trudged your way to sit next to her at the nurses station. You shot her a glare sitting down in your chair pulling out one of the tablets.
“I hate the night shift. Why did I agree to this?” You groan, typing your password multiple times and failing.
“Because you are lovely and wonderful and Maya really needed the switch.” Vic stood up and behind you and rubbed your shoulders. “You can do this, it’s pretty simple at night anyways.”
“Ugh please don’t jinx me. You’ll say that and suddenly everything’s gonna go wrong.” You lay your head back looking up at her with a small pout.
“You’ll be just fine, plus Yoongi is here all night with you. He’s fun to torture during the night shift.” Vic patted you before she grabbed her bag and rounded her way to the elevators.
“Have a good night.” You call out to her but then dive your head into your work. Since it was so easy going you knew this would be a good opportunity to finish up paperwork. There was always plenty to catch up on, you could maybe even get a medication inventory count done tonight as long as everything goes smoothly.
You spend the next little while just working. Yoongi came and joined you after a while and you both just made small conversation here and there. The two of you had actually gotten closer in the time you’ve been up here. He’s actually super nice and much funnier than anyone gives him credit for. The quiet exterior thing was mostly a professional front but when he’s around you and Vic he loosens way up.
Once one of the other night nurses, Kay, had arrived you stole him away to help you with meds.
“Okay would you rather broadcast your thoughts to everyone around you at all times or never be able to think in words again?” You ask as you write down some notes about things that need to be ordered.
Yoongi thought for a moment as he is opening up a box to inspect the contents, “Can I think in pictures?”
“Hmm I’ll say yes but you can’t imagine pictures of words.” You tap your pen against your mouth.
“I’ll never think in words again. I don’t need everyone knowing my thoughts.” Yoongi says and you nod. “What about you?”
“You know what, I agree. I don’t need everyone knowing how often I think about quitting.” You snort under your breath. Yoongi smiles amused.
“We all know, you don’t need your thoughts broadcasted for that.” Yoongi teased and you push his shoulder.
“I’m quitting right now.”
“Right.”
You sigh looking around. “Well we’ve barley made a dent. I’m going to going do a loop and check in, will you see if Kay needs anything?” You hand him the notepad you had been making notes on.
“No problem, and we can totally finish this tonight. Plus we have like 10 more hours.” Yoongi points around the room. It’s true you guys just needed to stay focussed.
“Nah you have better things to worry about tonight. I’ll just force Wendy to help me when she gets in.” You wave your hand back and forth, leaving the closet.
You make your way up and down the wing. Most patients were asleep and you would slip in just to make sure there was nothing you guys were missing or not being alerted about. You had pretty good systems and alarms to make sure that didn’t happen but you always liked to check just to make sure. Everyone seemed in good shape for the night, you decided to ends your rounds with checking in on Ji-eun. You poked your head into the room to find she was in fact awake. She was looking at something on her Ipad. The light dimmed.
“What are you—” You step into the room, Ji-eun's attention pulled to you. At that moment your attention is immediately pulled to the couch that came into view. Someone was asleep there with blanket pulled over them and they were facing away. You drop your voice to a whisper. “Oh my god I’m so sorry. I didn’t know someone was here with you.”
You try to backing out of the room, but Ji-eun waves for you to come back. Her voice also a whisper, “No no no come back in. I’m happy to see you, you’re never here this late.”
A sigh of exhaustion leaves you, “Yeah one of the girls needed to switch shifts due to an emergency. So here I am.”
“That’s nice of you. I can’t imagine overnight shifts are at all easy.” She gives you a sympathetic smile, setting her iPad to the side.
“It’s alright. Dr. Min and Kay are good company.” Your attention is pulled back to the figure on the couch that shifts slightly. Maybe it was Ji-eun’s husband? You hadn’t had a chance to meet any of her family yet. They were never here when you usually worked. “Is that your husband?”
Ji-eun looks over and then back to you with a shake of her head. “Oh no, this is one of my boys.”
“Oh! How sweet he’s here with you.” You glance over and then back to her.
“Yeah he must have arrived just barely before you. He’s had a long week and hadn’t been able to stop by. Then he fell asleep.”
“Is this his first time coming to see you? Since you got here?” You found your curiosity peaked.
“Oh no no. He was with me the day I checked in and then he’s been here several times since. Always late like this.” She glances over then back to you. “I hope it’s okay he’s here.”
Technically you really shouldn’t let family stay over night but it wasn’t a rule. More frowned upon due to some incidents in the past. “Usually we try not to allow it, but I’ll let it go for now.” You give her mischievous grin, and she laughs to herself.
Ji-eun had an operation schedule for two weeks from now for the tumor in her leg to be removed. She was in high spirits about it. Removing that tumor would officially bring her back down to stage 3. The hope was that they could remove the whole thing.
Dr. Kim took a new biopsy earlier in the week and you learned this tumor was completely unrelated to the liver cancer, which was the original belief. Since the tumor had gotten down almost to the bone she would be off her feet for some time. She also will have to stop chemotherapy for a while until she heals from this operation. So mostly good things but concerning in terms of her cancer and how aggressive her case has been.
The current treatment hasn’t shown any signs of improvements to the tumors on her liver. It was still early so it was inconclusive. You could tell from the way Dr. Kim and Yoongi had been speaking about it that they were hoping for more improvement. Ji-eun hadn’t lost her spirit though. She was still so cheerful everyday you saw her and always had a story or smile to give. She’s made the weeks up here easier. In the time you’ve spent up here you have seen a few patients pass. Two just this week. You didn’t know them well but it was still tough. Especially because they were cases that had much better odds than most. Needless to say it weighed on you, so talking to Ji-eun made it easier.
Vic and Yoongi had also done a good job at showing you how they handle it. In other specialties you don’t spend as much with the patients, little easier to become impersonal. Up here you have people who are here for weeks or months so you learn about them. Which makes it worse if they don’t pull through.
“Why are you up so late?” You sit on the end of her bed, “You just had treatment on Tuesday, you need rest.”
“Just a touch of nausea it’ll pass.” She pats her stomach.
“Are you finally admitting to feeling it a little?” You say, talking about the chemo. Ji-eun had been doing well on this one and not shown any major symptoms yet. At least, that is what she was telling everyone.
“A little.” She huffed, “Nothing serious. It’ll pass soon.”
“I can get you something if you need. You don’t have to just tough it out, even though I know you try too.” You lean on one of your hands, your face falling into slight concern.
“I'm tougher than you think. No chemo can get me down. Now you go. I’m sure you have plenty of work that needs to be done.” She tried to wave you out of the room, but you roll your eyes.
“I’ve got a minute.” You glance over to her ever updating pile of crochet projects. “What are you working on right now?”
Ji-eun glances to her pile. “I know it’s a big clichĂ©, but I’m working on a few things for you and Victoria, and the docs.” She pull over some of her stuff, “It’s just scarves.”
She pulls out one that looks to already be complete that is green and blue and red stripes. Another that is all red.
“The stripped one is for Dr. Kim. The red is for Victoria. Felt fitting since she is so fiery, and Dr. Kim is so flamboyant.” She held them out to you, they were very well done. She picked a very oft thread for them as well so they were nice to touch.
“Oh these are lovely.” You fold them and lay them back down on the bed. “Dr. Kim will love his, I assure you.”
“And this,” She reaches down on the side of the bed, “will be yours eventually.” She pull out a dark blue scarf that had stars being stitched throughout. It was still a work in progress, maybe about half way done? It was truly lovely so far. “I think it looks pretty good!”
You give her a happy pout looking at it, “I love it. It’s so cute. I can’t wait to wear it.”
“Well I better hurry up and get it done!” Her voice was a little louder than she intended, and whichever of Ji-eun's sons was on the couch stirred. “Whoops too loud. Can I get your opinion for Yoongi? I want to make him one but I’m not sure.”
You thought for a moment if you should tell her to give him something outrageously bright just to see him feel forced to wear it. You decided against it though. “Probably something neutral. He’s not the flashy type. Maybe a black or grey.”
“Awe I was hoping maybe he had a colorful streak hidden under that quiet exterior.” Her face twisted in annoyance, “Neutral it is.”
You get yourself off the bed. It was time that you got back and continued your work. It was a nice little break but there was a lot left to be done tonight.
“I must leave you now. If you need anything you know where we are.” You take a step towards the door.
“I’ll try.” Ji-eun huffs with fake annoyance in her tone like you were a mom scolding her.
You roll your eyes knowing she’s just going to continue to be tough about it. You turn to the door before something catches your attention before stepping out. It was subtle and you hadn’t noticed it before but you definitely smelt it now.
Just a faint smell of cigarette.

After a long and grueling night. Your shift was coming to an end. You and Yoongi, with the help of Wendy another night nurse, you managed to get a good jump on inventory. The rest of the night you mostly just did paperwork and bothered Yoongi when you could. No major issues except you were not really built for a night shift. About an hour ago you took advantage and stowed yourself away to get a tiny bit of rest in an on call room. With your slumber abruptly interrupted.
“Rise and shine baby girl!” Vic hit her leg on the side of the bunk you were sleeping in. Rattling it and you awake.
With an angry grunt you rolled over to look at her. “You’re so obnoxious.”
“I’m here to relieve you. Get up.” She holds a hand out to you to help you get to your feet. “How was last night?”
“Not bad.” You yawn and stretch your arms straight into the air. You fill her in on some other details and you both leave the on call room and walk back to the nurses station. Giving her some updates on what you and Kay did in the night.
You collected some of your stuff from the desk when you overheard some of the other girls you worked with talking.
“Okay but like you saw him.” Lana, a new hire here, leaning on both of her hands swiveling from side to side in her chair. Dramatically star struck.
“You were right, hot.” Angel, another girl who usually works opposite shifts of you. So you haven’t gotten to know her much.
“Ladies,” Vic interrupted arms folded, “I think we have better things we could be doing?”
“Yeah but Lana’s crush was here. So she’s all distracted now.” Angel rolled her eyes, nudging Lana to come out of her dream state. You laugh under your breath.
“Who’s her crush?” You breath, balancing your stuff in your arms. Looking between the two of them.
Lana groaned, “I don’t actually know his name. I’m just pretty sure he’s Ji-euns son. You had to have seen him Y/N, you’re on her case.” She looked to you, her pupils practically turning into little hearts.
“I actually haven’t met any of Ji-eun’s family. I’ll see what I can find out.” You yawn thinking back on it. Sad Ji-eun’s been excited to introduce you to her family and you just barely missed him. Maybe next time.
“Get his name as soon as possible please. So Lana can bug you about it instead of me.” Angel got up from the desk, walking away as quickly as she could. You and Vic watch her go in her annoyance and you both have amused smiles.
“I’m sure you could just ask. Ji-eun uses any opportunity to talk about her family.” You pat Lana on the shoulder, “Hope he’s everything you hope he is.”
“Me too.” Lana gets up as well taking a tablet with her in a day dreamy walk.
“Don’t encourage her. She’s new so she doesn’t need to get her hopes high. ”Vic nudged you. She was mostly teasing.
“Hey, we need some new entertainment around here other than Yoongi. I’m just sad her crush isn’t on him so we don’t get to tease him about it.” You laugh, just then Seokjin and Yoongi were rounding the corner.
“Good morning my wonderful staff.” Seokjin beamed between you and Vic. Vic narrowing her eyes at Seokjin already. Oh he’s in for a long day.
“You didn’t sign your charts last night.” She taps her finger impatiently. Yoongi trying to hide. “Yoongi this goes for you two, and you have no excuse you were here all night.”
You place a hand on her, “To be fair he really helped us out with the medicine and inventory count.”
She huffs, “Okay fine you’re off the hook. You sir,” pointing back to Seokjin. “You’re gonna sit and do it before you do anything else today.”
“What’s with the hostility? To think I bought treats for you today and this is the thanks I get?” Seokjin sniffs and fake wipes his eyes.
“I’ll be less hostile when you sign your charts.” She barks.
You decide you need to slip out now before the blood bath begins. You made your way home in record time. You were desperate to sleep in your own bed because you were finally going to see Melanie tonight. You were so excited that her and Namjoon were back, and tonight would be all in good fun. Or at least you hoped it would.
Jungkook's annoying presence would certainly be something to handle
 considering.
You couldn’t even think straight as you crashed on your bed. You didn’t even bother to change, just letting the weight of the night overtake you. It felt like a blink of an eye though as it was suddenly 6 pm. You needed to get up and get ready for sure now. You had roughly about an hour before you needed to be getting out the door. So you shower the night off and dress casually, you had a feeling you may be crashing there tonight so you didn’t need to look amazing.
You certainly didn’t feel too amazing, exhausted really.
After too long you were arriving and knocking on the front door. Namjoon and Melanie had a very nice townhome, it wasn’t decorated in a typical fashion. It was always very warm and welcoming and homey. You tended to hang out here a lot because of how good of a job they did at making it so nice. Unfortunately that did involve many night where you, Ash, and Melanie overtake the house and Namjoon is left sleeping in the guest room or downstairs. He really didn’t mind but you always felt a little bad.
With a swift swing open of the door Melanie was who you came face to face with. “Finally! My knight in shining armor has arrived!” Melanie swooned against the door frame.
“My darling I’ve return from war!” You step inside and are immediately enveloped into a hug. It was so nice to finally have her back. You didn’t want to bug her with anything while her and Namjoon were away but now it was free game. “I need to hear every detail about your trip.”
“Oh trust me I’ve got a whole presentation prepared.” She keeps an arm around you as you enter the house.
The entryway was a long hallway with tall ceilings, stairs lined one wall, with entrance to the living room first and then just up the hall entrance to the kitchen. A small bathroom tucked under the stairs.
“Oh I can’t wait.” You giggle and rub your hands together, “I need something to eat though I’m starving.”
“Oh there’s plenty of food so help yourself. We’ve got all night.” She pulled you into the living room where you were greeted with Ash and Namjoon in a heated debate about what looked like a just finished match of Mario kart. Taehyung was sprawled out on the couch, looking like a kicked puppy. Melanie sat down on the opposite love seat leaving you standing,
You squat down to Taehyung's eye level, “What was it this time? Eleventh or twelve?”
He fakes sobs, “If there was a thirteenth place they would make it for me.” You snort and ruffle his hair.
“You’ll get him next time.” You sit down on the love seat with Melanie laying your legs across her lap.
“You don’t want to sit with me?” Taehyung sat up on the couch with a puppy dog look in his eye.
“I need some Melanie time tonight. I’ll give you my attention another time.” You say but Taehyung still played sad.
“Mel! Back me up! He so cheated!” Ash erupted between the three of you, pointing to Namjoon accusingly.
“I did not!” Namjoon quipped back, “She’s the one who was trying to shove me the entire time!”
“I’m not getting in the middle of you two and your stupid Mario kart rivalry again! I made that mistake once and I almost got my head bitten off for it.” Melanie grumbled in annoyance at the two of them. They both deflated but still were annoyed.
“You know how competitive they get, why let them play?” You ask, raising an eyebrow to Taehyung and Melanie.
“I left the room for five seconds and suddenly they were deep into it by then.” Melanie raised her hands in innocence. You believed it, Ash and Namjoon had a years long running tally of Mario kart wins. They always stayed neck and neck and it was very serious for them. You were okay at it, always coming out somewhere in the middle.
“Well I need a drink if this is how the night is going to continue.” You get back up from your seat.
“There’s tons of wine please drink it.” Namjoon called after you, you gave a thumbs up behind you in response. Heading down to the kitchen.
Rounding your way into the in there really was tons of snacks and food at the ready on the island counter. You imagine Melanie had meant to bring it into the living room but got sucked into the game with the others.
You pick a random bottle, opening it and pouring yourself a glass. It was pretty good for a random pick. You balance your glass, the bottle, and a armful of snacks bringing them with you to the living room to lay them out on the coffee table.
“Oh thank you.” Melanie beamed, taking a bag of chips from you.
“I figured they got left behind in the gaming escapades. This wine is also nice.” You take another sip from your glass, setting the bottle down.
Melanie takes the bottle holding it up to Namjoon, he also looks at it, “Joonie, where did we get this one?”
“Jungkook got it as a gift.” Namjoon nodded when seeing the bottle.
Taehyung dramatically held onto the nearest object. You gave him a funny look.
“Sorry Jungkook's name was mentioned in your presence. Thought I should prepare for a disaster.” He teased, you hit him on the shoulder.
“I’m not that dramatic.” You settle down on the couch next to him. “Here I’ll give him a compliment right now. He can pick out a nice wine. Let’s hope it’s not poison.”
“Wow,” Taehyung deadpanned, clutching his chest. “Don’t strain yourself.”
“Anyways, what’s going on with you these days.” You look at Taehyung. “I haven’t seen you since the wedding.”
“I tried to catch up with you at emo night but seems you got stolen away.” Taehyung says and it makes you take a slight moment of pause. Taehyung said it that way on purpose. Knowing what he knows, “You know cause you went home early.”
You nod, playing it cool. “Yeah I had too much. It was good I called it early because it could have gotten messy.”
“Probably smart, a little too much to drink can make us do some questionable things.” Taehyung says it almost with some suggestion, like trying to point to a certain subject. It didn’t slip by you, it felt too intentional.
“Yeah, I guess?” You play it off, “Anyways, any new girl I can hear about as of late? Any crazy stories you got for me?”
Taehyung shakes his head, “I’ve taken a little break lately. Trying to be serious.”
“Really? You?” You cock an eyebrow.
“Nah,” He smirks, “What about you? Anyone wrapped around your finger at the moment?”
You narrow your eyes at him, Taehyung had a way of trying to subtly gets answers. Him asking about your love life never comes without a catch. Last time it was a blind date he wanted to set you up on. “No. I’m not really looking right now.”
He slowly nods his head, his stare a bit too intense for comfort. “Very interesting.”
“Okay what are you planning? If you're planning on giving my number out to someone can I at least know who and why?” You groan, leaning your head on the back of the couch looking up to the ceiling.
“No I wouldn't do that to you
again. I’m just confirming a solution to a problem I’m working on.”
You wanted to probe further into what Taehyung was talking about, but decided to just leave it. Whatever he had cooking up in his mind could not be good. Better to not indulge him.
The night buzzed with the hum of wine-fueled laughter, the clink of glasses, and a playlist that had long since fallen victim to the chaos of too many requests. You were tipsy, just enough to feel bold and carefree, your giggles blending seamlessly with the chatter around you.
Ash, Melanie, and you had claimed the big couch as your domain, limbs tangled in a haphazard heap. Your head rested in Ash’s lap, where she was absently braiding and unbraiding sections of your hair, likely creating a disaster you'd deal with tomorrow. Namjoon and Taehyung had been exiled to the love seat and the floor, making them easy targets for your drunken commentary.
This was how these nights always went—wine, games, and an inevitable retreat to Namjoon and Melanie’s room, where the three of you would indulge in a late-night slumber party like teenagers.
Just then a ring from the doorbell sounded through the house. Announcing the arrival of the demon spawn. Namjoon sprung up from his spot and trotted to the door. You could hear a few voices echo in the hall before Namjoon and Jungkook reentered the room with some laughs.
“Golden boy finally arrived.” Taehyung held his arms up in celebration. The wine in his glass almost flinging everywhere.
You rolled your eyes so hard you were sure they’d get stuck. Melanie wiggled her way out from under your legs to give Jungkook a hug, which he returned with genuine warmth. You looked away, muttering under your breath, “Great, now we’re all blessed by his presence.”
Melanie beamed, entirely ignoring your sarcasm. “Okay, now that everyone’s here, we can finally show pictures from the trip!” She dashed out of the room and returned moments later with her laptop, bounding around everyone and hooking it up to the TV.
“Oh you actually had a presentation prepared?” You laugh at her and Melanie rolls her eyes.
“Yes,” Melanie retorted, tossing her hair over her shoulder. “You’ll like it. Now, everyone, sit.”
Melanie urges Namjoon and Jungkook to sit back down. Namjoon took the available spot next to Taehyung, which left the spot your legs currently occupied the only place left.
The command turned the room into a musical chairs scramble. Namjoon reclaimed his spot by Taehyung, leaving the couch seat you were sprawled across as the only one open.
Jungkook eyed the seat with a smirk and crossed his arms. “Guess you’ll have to move.”
Without budging an inch, you waved dismissively at the floor. “There’s plenty of space down there.”
Jungkook, tilted his head, tongue in cheek. He should have expected the immediate annoyance he would get from you being here. Taehyung watched from the other couch with bated breath, sipping on his wine.
“Oh this looks like such a comfortable spot though.” Without warning Jungkook places his butt right on top of your legs. Sighing joyfully, it was not comfortable but the face you were making was worth it.
Ash immediately burst out laughing, her hands still tangled in your hair. “I mean, he’s not wrong. You’re pretty cozy.”
“Get off.” You groan, tugging your legs out from under him and sitting up straight.
Jungkook stretched out leisurely, claiming the newly vacated spot with a satisfied smirk. "Ah, much better."
You narrowed your eyes at him, resisting the urge to shove him off the couch entirely. Taehyung, still observing from his perch with an amused glint in his eye, raised his glass in toast. "And just like that, our main event is underway."
"You're enjoying this way too much," you snapped at Taehyung, who simply shrugged and sipped his wine.
Melanie clapped her hands, reclaiming everyone's attention. "Alright, children, settle down. You're distracting from my masterpiece here." She gestured to the TV, where the first picture from their trip was already displayed: a stunning view of a mountain range bathed in golden light.
The room collectively oohed and aahed, and Melanie launched into a detailed explanation of the hike they had to endure to get the shot. Namjoon chimed in with a few quips about Melanie nearly slipping on a rock, which earned him a playful swat on the arm.
Ash, kept you grounded in your spot so you didn’t push Jungkook away. He didn’t try to antagonize you again. He stayed settled to his spot and his attention on Melanie. Staying engaged with everyone except you. You got another drink into you during the presentation and so did Ash. both of your giggling every now and then on your side of the couch. Entertaining yourselves thoroughly.
Jungkook just stayed as far on his side as he could. Didn’t mean something else was happening. Because Taehyung was texting him.
Tae: So are you going to talk to y/n tonight??????
Tae: I think you should ;)
Tae: Remember just keep it casual!!!
Tae: Could lead to
 well you know
 again ;)
Tae: I’ll even break the ice
Tae: ;)
Tae: Should be an interesting evening
Jungkook would look every once in a while and not dignify Taehyung with a response. Jungkook could feel Taehyung’s eyes also boring into the side of his head in anticipation. He was looking for that spark, maybe there was something much more going on here.
After a little while, the wine was really getting to you. As well as your messed up sleep schedule making you fuzzy. Warm. You were watching Melanie talking about some trail her and Namjoon followed and got lost along as your attention was caught to Jungkook moving his hand to run through his hair. Settling it back down into his lap. It caught your attention for a moment and it felt like it moved in slow motion. Then without even realizing you were staring at his hands in his lap.
He was fidgeting with his fingers. Probably mindlessly playing with them. Your mind began to drift though, because you know those hands now. You know they are much softer than they initially look. They were warm and strong. His fingers are long and slender, pretty even. Pretty in an artistic way, almost. A memory of them running all over your body imprinted on your mind. Being pulled to the surface.
Almost too quickly you felt like your face was on fire. The memory coming in small flashes. A laugh to a messy drunken make out in a fluorescent bathroom. Your lips finding their way to his skin. Then being in his apartment and stripping down together. Then suddenly being laid back. First his fingers and and then his tongue painting you with pleasure. You could see his hands in your mind so clearly, then suddenly his eyes. Looking back at you, while he took you over the edge.
You need to stop. You shook your head and adjusted in your seat almost too quickly. You cannot be thinking about this right now. What is wrong with you? It had to be the wine, you always got somewhat horny when you drank wine. You settled back into your spot, playing it cool. Your eyes danced around the room for a moment. Pulling yourself back down to earth. Keep it together, you are better than this.
Your eyes glanced at Jungkook for one second. Not even trying to look but you caught him right as he was playing with his lip ring with his tongue. Forcing your eyes to look back to Melanie and the screen.
Pay attention to the presentation.
Your foggy conscience easily betrayed you though. This time, quiet and patient kisses in an elevator. Then a dark hotel room. An image of Jungkook standing above you saying please. Then him placed behind you, slipping himself inside–
You take in a sharp breath in through the nose. You begin to pick your own nails. Surely if you keep your hands busy you can keep your mind distracted. Yes you were a little tipsy and you were having flashbacks but you can fight this. Remember he’s gross, awful, and has said horrible things to you. He drives you insane.
You will not let your tipsy mind flow to... Jungkook.
You decided you needed to get some ice cold water. The pictures wrapped up, Melanie’s enthusiastic commentary dwindling to polite applause as everyone shifted back to casual conversation. You decided it was the perfect moment to escape, slipping away toward the kitchen with quick, deliberate steps. The quiet was immediate and welcome, wrapping around you like a shield.
Getting yourself a glass and getting some water from the sink. Sipping it quickly, letting the coolness slow your mind.
The reprieve didn’t last long.
You heard the floorboards creak and glanced up just in time to see Jungkook stroll into the kitchen. His presence was impossible to ignore. He didn’t look at you at first, but you felt him there, his every move trying to pull at your attention like a gravitational force.
Your grip on the glass tightened reflexively.
“Jungkook.” Your voice was flat, carefully devoid of emotion.
“Y/N.” He mimicked your tone, brushing past you to grab a glass of his own. His voice carried a teasing edge, but there was something else—something softer underneath.
The silence that followed was sharp and deliberate, the air thick with unspoken words. Jungkook could easily toss out some snarky comment to rile you up, it was practically his trademark, but he didn’t. Not this time.
Instead, he lingered, standing just close enough for the faint scent of his cologne to drift your way. Cedarwood, or something like that. It was annoyingly intoxicating.
You busied yourself with your phone, scrolling aimlessly. A quiet laugh escaped you at something you saw, but it felt too loud in the stillness, too revealing.
Clearing his throat, Jungkook finally broke the silence. “How are you?”
You blinked at your phone, unsure if you’d heard him right. Slowly, you glanced his way. “What?”
“How are you?” He rubbed the back of his neck, his movements almost shy.
“Why?”
“I’m making conversation.”
“Why?”
“Because it’s what people do, Y/N. They talk.” His tone had a touch of exasperation, but his lips curled into a faint smirk. “Just answer the question. You’re not going to combust if you do.”
You hesitated, the urge to deflect warring with the odd sincerity in his gaze. “I’m good,” you said finally, though it felt like pulling teeth. “Exhausted, but good.”
“How come?”
You narrowed your eyes, trying to read him. Was this a setup? “I worked an overnight shift last night,” you said cautiously. “So my sleep schedule is all over the place.”
“Overnight shift, huh?” Jungkook turned to lean against the counter, crossing his arms as he studied you. “And you still showed up tonight?”
“Yeah.” You shrugged, suddenly hyper-aware of how close he was. “I missed Melanie and Namjoon. We usually crash here after these things.”
“Crash?” He raised an eyebrow, the faintest hint of a grin tugging at his lips.
“Yeah.” You smiled despite yourself. “Mel, Ash, and I take over Namjoon and Melanie’s room after too much wine.”
Jungkook let out a low laugh, the sound unexpectedly warm. “That explains it. Namjoon was muttering about an invasion yesterday. Makes sense now.”
You laughed lightly, the tension between you softening for a moment. “Yeah, invasion is probably accurate. If you and Taehyung weren’t here, the living room would already be in ruins.”
Jungkook moved then, stepping toward the sink to fill his glass. The motion was smooth, casual, but you couldn’t ignore how close he came, the heat of his body brushing against yours. The scent of his cologne floating your way one more time. You took a small step to the side, trying to ignore the way your pulse quickened.
He seemed to notice your shift but didn’t comment, his gaze flickering to you for a split second before returning to his glass.
You cleared your throat, your voice quieter than you intended. “How are you?”
Jungkook stilled, glancing at you with something like surprise. For a moment, he didn’t answer, his dark eyes searching your face like he was trying to decide if you meant it.
“I’m alright,” he said finally, his tone subdued. “Busy, though. I’m in the middle of a trial.”
“Right,” you said, nodding. “Lawyer stuff.”
A small, wry smile tugged at his lips. “Yeah, lawyer stuff.”
“What kind of trial?” you asked, surprising even yourself.
He hesitated, as if weighing whether to tell you. Finally, he said, “It’s a class-action case. Workers suing their company for unpaid wages. I’m representing them.”
Your eyebrows lifted, genuinely impressed. “Wow. Didn’t expect you to be on the workers’ side.”
Jungkook tilted his head, his expression unreadable. “Why not?”
“I don’t know.” You gestured vaguely. “Knee jerk reaction. I typically expect the worst from you. Most people would go for the big paycheck.”
A low chuckle escaped him, warm and deep. He couldn’t blame you for jumping to a conclusion after all these years. “Fair enough. It was the right thing to do though.” Jungkook rubs on his neck another time. You noticed it, he had done it a couple of times tonight. Almost like it was bothering him.
“What’s wrong with you?” You tighten your eyebrows together, Jungkook’s eyes meeting yours for just a moment before darting away.
“Oh,” He twists his neck trying to relieve the discomfort. “My neck is just hurting. I think I slept wrong.”
“You could take something, or there are some stretches I know that can help.” You begin to look around the kitchen seeing if you can find some ibuprofen. Your hurriedness surprised Jungkook. Threw him off balance.
“I already took something but didn’t seem to help. Still some pain.” His eyes tracked you round the kitchen as you continued your search.
“Well I’ll show you the stretches then, grab a chair.” You exhale, nodding your head to one of the chairs at the dining table.
Jung walked over and pulled one of the chairs out and took a seat. You hesitated for a moment before you stood right behind him. Your hands hovered hesitantly above his shoulders. What the hell were you doing?
“Are you okay if I just do it
t-to show you how?” You say hesitantly.
Jungkook doesn’t look back to you but finds himself rather
nervous even. Had you gotten him in the perfect position to actually just strangle you out? Were these his final moments?
“Just don’t kill me
but yeah go for it.” He nodded, not looking back to you.
“Okay. Just relax.”
Jungkook feels you place one hand on his left shoulder, making sure his posture stays back and your other hand resting on the top of his head gently pushing it forward. Jungkook could feel a small pull in his neck stretching it out. The pain was on the right side so this was too bad. Your hand on his shoulder was touching some of the skin on his neck and it felt like it was burning into him. It was quiet, just your quiet breathing filling the room.
“So you lean your head forward and then you roll your head side to side,” you murmured, guiding his head gently to the left Your voice was softer than you’d intended, the quiet of the kitchen making every word feel heavier.
Jungkook’s breathing hitched slightly, though you weren’t sure if it was from the stretch or the weight of your hand on his shoulder. His skin was warm beneath your touch, and you realized with a jolt that your fingers lingered longer than necessary.
“You should feel a pull right along here.” You hovered for a second, but drew a line along his neck where the muscle was tense. Trying to focus on the task and not the way your voice seemed to tremble.
Your touch made Jungkook want to wiggle away from you. So light but almost electric. His mind drifted away somewhat, almost remembering last week but he kept himself grounded in the present.
“Yeah,” he replied, the pull was slightly painful but felt good. “It’s
helping.” His words were simple, but something about the way he said them made your stomach flip.
You adjusted your hand, sliding it to the other side of his head to tilt it gently to the left. “And this?” You kept your eyes focused on the wall now, You had already spent too much time looking
and thinking about his hands tonight. You didn’t need to think about his neck.
Jungkook exhaled, a slow, deep sound that felt too intimate in the quiet space. “Better,” he said, his voice quieter now.
“It also helps to roll in circles slowly too. Trying to stretch those muscles as far as you can. You want to feel the pull.” You remove your hand, but keep them on his shoulders as he rolls his head around in slow circles.
The kitchen, bathed in the soft glow of the overhead light, felt suspended in time. The sounds from the living room—muted laughter, clinking glasses, the occasional burst of louder conversation—faded into the background. It was just you, Jungkook, and the lingering ghost of your touch on his skin.
Your hands had rested on his shoulders longer than they should have. Neither of you had acknowledged it, though Jungkook had noticed. He couldn’t stop noticing. The weight of your touch, light but grounding, had felt entirely different from the energy you normally exuded around him.
Gentle.
It made his pulse quicken, a response he tried desperately to suppress. But his mind betrayed him, conjuring thoughts he had no business entertaining such as your hands moving from his shoulders, sliding down his chest, fingers tracing his jawline—
He swallowed hard, forcing himself back to reality. Because that feeling was there again, that small guilty twist in his stomach. What he had been telling Taehyung about bubbled up. He still couldn’t name it, because guilt didn’t feel right. It wasn’t that but it felt so strange. What was that?
Almost like the universe had heard his struggle, Taehyung appeared in the doorway, a wide grin already plastered on his face. His eyes scanned the scene quickly, locking onto Jungkook still seated and you standing just behind him.
“Oh my god it’s finally happening. Y/N is going to strangle you out!” Taehyung gasped and threw his hands over his mouth dramatically, “Y/N please spare him! He’s a good boy!”
You laugh to yourself, stepping back from Jungkook letting your hands fall away from him. The absence of touch is almost louder than the conflict itself. “I’m not strangling him,” you said, crossing your arms and giving Taehyung a look. “This time. Now roll your shoulders back.” you instructed Jungkook, stepping even farther away as if to reestablish boundaries.
Jungkook complied without a word, rotating his shoulders as you’d shown him. He tilted his head from side to side, testing the stretch. When his gaze flicked back to you, a faint smile tugged at his lips. “You’re good at this,” he murmured, his voice quieter now, almost thoughtful.
“I do it for patients all the time, the hospital beds are notoriously uncomfortable.” You replied, shrugging as if it were nothing. Your arms stayed crossed, a subtle shield against the shift in energy between you. “It’s not a big deal.”
“It doesn’t feel like nothing,” he said, his words soft but lingering. His eyes stayed on you a fraction too long, enough to make your chest tighten and your cheeks warm.
Taehyung, clearly enjoying himself, stepped farther into the kitchen. His smile widened, but he kept his tone light. “What exactly were you doing?”
“I slept weird last night,” Jungkook interjected, standing up from the chair and adjusting it neatly back under the table. “My neck’s been hurting all day. Y/N was just showing me some stretches to help.”
Taehyung hummed, unconvinced. His gaze darted between you and Jungkook like he was piecing together a puzzle. “Right. Stretching. Sure.”
You decide this is your chance to escape out of here. You pick up your glass and exit the kitchen quickly to rejoin the others in the living room. The kitchen was quieter now that you’d left, though the tension you’d unintentionally abandoned seemed to cling to the air like static. Taehyung leaned against the counter, his grin infuriatingly smug as he watched Jungkook refill his glass of water, the younger man pointedly ignoring him.
“If I had shown up even a second later, you two would’ve probably stripped naked,” Taehyung said.
Jungkook groaned, turning his back on him to hide his flushed face. “We were only talking.”
Taehyung nodded sagely, his expression far too knowing. “Oh, sure. Just talking. Nothing else. Completely innocent. Two people practically pressed against each other in a dimly lit kitchen, having a totally platonic chat.”
Jungkook shot him a glare. “You’re insufferable, you know that?”
“Of course I do,” Taehyung replied smoothly. “But it’s part of my charm. So, what was it really? A nice heart-to-heart, or were you two silently fighting like usual?”
Jungkook paused, his hand tightening briefly on his glass. “No
no, actually. It was just a conversation. Awkward, but
maybe the most normal we’ve spoken to each other in years.”
Taehyung’s grin widened as he pushed off the counter, his eyes alight with mischief. “Told you.”
“Shut up.”
“I’m always right and you know it.”
“No you’re not.”
“She was sweet, though, wasn’t she?” Taehyung continued, his voice quieter now, his teasing edge softening. “Almost shy? Kind, even?”
Jungkook hesitated, his gaze fixed on the countertop. He hated how easily Taehyung saw through him, but there was no use denying it. “...Yeah,” he admitted grudgingly, barely above a whisper.
Taehyung clapped him on the shoulder, his grin shifting into something genuine. “See? Progress. Keep trying.”
Jungkook sighed, rubbing the back of his neck where your touch still lingered faintly. “Yeah. Easier said than done.”

The Company
Double Life
Fluff and Angst (Dark theme)
Tumblr media
Chapter 12
1735 Words
(Company OC lives his everyday life, taking care of his business and ensuring everything runs smoothly. He has a soft spot for Mina, being his first recruit as the CEO. He also cares for trainees like Nayeon, who are as important as anyone else. Running a business is hard work, and sometimes you must get your hands dirty to ensure everything runs smoothly.)
After arriving from San Francisco, you went straight to work. Setting up an acting division within the company seemed easy, but recruiting talent was the most important part.
Luckily, the company executives took care of recruiting personnel and coaches while your main focus was on selecting actresses.
While you look at some actress profiles, you get briefed on what you missed last week. IU mentions that rumors about the acting division have been circulating since someone, a well-known actress, visited the company. Officially, nothing hasn’t been confirmed, but you knew this was bound to happen.
“We’ve been receiving many inquiries from trainees, asking if they can audition for a position in the new acting division.”
”Damn, what do you think? Should we open the recruitment to the trainees?”
”That’s up to you, sir. You mentioned you want to get some well-known actresses first, so maybe you should focus on that.”
”You’re right. Once we’re settled, we can think about expanding it to the rest.”
Also, while you were away, the trainee, Mina, stopped by. She mentioned that she wanted to see you.”
”Oh, okay. I’ll get in contact with her. Thanks Ji-eun.”
——
There is a knock at your door, and you see a silhouette, “It’s me, Mina.”
”Come in.”
Mina slowly opens the door and walks inside, “Good morning.”
”Good morning, Mina, how are you?”
”I’m okay. I didn’t know that you left abroad.”
”Oh, I’m sorry. I forgot to tell you. Did you need something?”
”No, I just haven’t seen you, so I came to stop by.”
“Aww, that’s nice of you. Come and sit down.”
Mina takes a seat on the couch and stares at you.
“How’s it going with your training?”
”It’s going well. I still have a hard time talking to all the girls, but I’ve gotten close to Momo and Sana.”
”That’s great. It's nice to see that you have someone to talk to.”
”They speak Japanese, so it’s easier for me. I just wish I didn’t get nervous.”
Don’t worry about it. People are naturally going to come to you based on your personality. You’re a really sweet girl.”
Mina’s ears get a bit red, and you find it kind of cute. You can’t help but see her as a younger sister, someone to protect.
”Oh, by the way, your parents sent you a package,” you say as you stand up and get the box that is on the other side of the room.
“Oh, what is it?”
”All they told me was that you had to open it before it goes bad.”
Mina picks up the box and places it on the table. You hand her an envelope cutter and opens the box, “Aww, they sent me my favorite snacks.” She grabs one of the snacks and hands it to you, “Here, try it.”
You try the bag of Skittles she gave you and share some with her. You can’t help but smile as you see her show her gummy smile. “Do I have something on my face?”
”No, it’s just that it’s nice to see you so happy.”
Mina’s ears turn red from your comment, “It’s just that these are my favorite, plus my parents sent them, so it makes it more special.”
”You’re right. Let's send something to them as well; what do you think?”
”Really?”
”Yeah. You don’t want to?”
”No, I do.”
”What do you want to send?”
”Umm, maybe some bread?”
”That sounds nice. Do you have an idea of where we should buy it?”
”Umm, there is a bakery that they used to take me to when I was little.”
”That’s nice. Let’s put in an order and have it delivered to them.”
”Are you really going to do it?”
”Yeah.”
Mina goes towards you and gives you a hug, “Thank you so much, Oppa.” It only takes a few minutes for her to realize what she did, and she steps back, face completely blushed, “I’m sorry, I just reacted without thinking.”
“Don’t worry about it, it happens.”
The two of you end up talking a bit more before Irene interrupts you two, “Sorry, I didn't know you had someone with you, sir; I’ll come back.”
”It’s okay, I was leaving anyway. Thanks, Oppa.” Mina waves goodbye and exits your office, leaving you and Irene to discuss important matters.
———
You finish your evening run and go to the nearby cafe by the company building. Coming out of the cafe, you see one of the trainees standing in front of one of the gates that lead to the campus buildings. From afar, you can see they are pacing back and forth like they are waiting for something. You see a person cross the street and walk towards the trainee and wonder what’s going on.
They seem to be talking to each other when you see the person, who seems to be an older man, grabs the trainee by the arm. The trainee struggles and tries to let go and yells, “Let me go!”
You exit the cafe and walk towards the street, trying to get an idea of what’s going on. As you walk closer, you see Im Nayeon, one of the transfer trainees from JYP. “She said to let her go” as you grab the man’s arm.
”This has nothing to do with you, so let me go!” shouts the older man.
”It does; I’m responsible for her, so I’m going to ask you to stop bothering her.”
“Nayeon, tell that man that I’m not bothering you.”
You turn and see Nayeon frozen, unable to say a word.”
”Come on, sweetie, tell this man to not treat your father this way.”
”You
 you’re not my dad.”
”Don’t be like that, Nayeon; of course, I’m your dad. I’m the one who raised you and your gold-digging mother.”
”Don’t call her that.”
”Well, she is a gold-digging whore. She’s been asking me for money and forcing me to support you.”
You can tell that Nayeon is getting upset by this whole situation and asks, “Nayeon, do you want this man here or not?”
Nayeon shakes her head, “No, I don’t want him here.”
”See, she told you to leave; now go before I call the police.”
”Fuck you, let me go. Nayeon! Listen to me; I’m going to get my money back, one way or another!”
You grab the man’s arm and push him in between toward the sidewalk, “Go or else it’s going to go worse for you,” telling him in a serious voice.
“Fuck! This doesn’t end here!”
Turning around, you say, “Nayeon, are you okay?” She doesn’t respond and is frozen from the encounter. You grab her hand, lead her to a private area, and sit on one of the benches, “What happened? Why did that man say he was your dad?”
”He
he’s not my actual dad but my mom’s ex-husband. He’s been harassing us ever since my mom broke up with him.”
”Did you try calling the police?”
”We did, but they wouldn’t do anything. He just wants us to pay back the money he spent on us.”
”What a douchebag.”
”It’s one of the reasons why I decided to join JYP; I thought I could earn some good money after debuting, but that hasn’t happened.”
”I’m sorry to hear that, but I've heard from your coaches that you’re one of the top trainees in the group.”
”How does that help me now? I was supposed to help my mom and get us away from that man.” Nayeon begins to cry, upset at her current situation.
”Everything is going to be okay,” you say as you try to comfort her.
“I’m sorry you had to see me cry; I’m so embarrassed, especially since you’re the company's CEO.”
”There is nothing to be embarrassed about,” you say as you caress her head. It takes her a while to calm down, but after settling down, she asks, “Is there a way I can work part-time while still being a trainee? I just want to pay that man back so he can leave us alone.”
”You don’t have to do that; just focus on your training. I’ll try to contact your mom and see what we can do to ensure he doesn't bother you again. Nayeon agrees, knowing that she can’t do anything in her situation. Jeongyeon and Jihyo appear a few moments later after receiving a message from Nayeon earlier.
You head back to your office and look for one of your family’s contacts, a friend who can help you in these situations.
”Hey, Don, It’s me. I have a bit of a situation going on.
”

”
”Let me send you the info.”
”

”
“Let’s make this as discreet as possible. I don’t want it causing problems anymore.”
————
Nayeon’s former step-father walks out of the gambling club after losing his month’s earnings. Defeated, he cuts through the alley, trying to return to his cramped apartment after getting kicked out of his house. ‘Fuck that gold-digging slut and her daughter, stealing my hard-earned money. Throwing me like some trash after supporting them for so long.
Covered by the darkness comes out a figure, “Hey man, it’s been a while.”
”Do I know you?”
”No, but I know you.”
The former step-father is too late to realize and falls to the group. He only sees a vague silhouette of a figure standing before him in the dark alley, “Who are you?”
”No one, I’m just here to take care of someone who’s been causing trouble to my employer. They send their regards.”
There’s no response, only a man lying on the cold, dark floor in an unknown alley.
Don takes out his phone, calls his employer, “It’s done,” and clicks it.
The door of a black van opens, and multiple men step out and carry the man lying on the floor. They toss him inside and shut the door before leaving the alley like nothing happened.

could you please write something about a darling worried about being too clingy? boyfriends always ask me to loosen up, that i need to give them room to breathe, that im too clingy often. id w9nder how your ocs would deal with a darling that has decided that this relationship will be different! even though she wants to be clingy, she tries her best not to!
a/n: another grouped up thing LOL! if you want more specific ones, send the request again and i'd be happy to rewrite it! thank youu for the request!
also, this request is Big Moodℱ and i relate so so much to this. anon, i want you to know that you're not clingy. you're not too much. and you should never settle for someone who doesn't enjoy being around you, okay? there will be someone out there that will love you in all your wonderful gorgeous clinginess.
Tumblr media
you belong to them and, last they checked, they weren't telling you to doubt yourself, were they? if you ever come to them with your concerns or they ever notice you pulling away, they'll address it immediately. in their minds, they own your entire being and, if they haven't told you anything about hating how you act, you should use your pretty little brain to worry about other things. plus, they'd like a clingier darling anyway because it shows how dedicated you are to them and it reminds them that you really are all theirs.
liam, fujio, ayaka, mel, ryouta
Tumblr media
awww, poor baby. they'd definitely reassure you that it's fine, that they prefer their darling to be clingy. if you ever give them room to breathe, they'll just pull you back in. they don't want space! they want you all over them 24/7! and, of course, anyone who told you that you were too much suddenly disappear. but that's not something you should be concerned with! what you should be concerned with is them; paying attention to them, being glued to them, always being near them. that's what they want and they'll make sure you never forget it
gavin, ryuu, soren, casimir
Tumblr media
what? clingy? you haven't been clingy at all! in fact, they'd tell you that you're not clingy enough! they'd be a bit shy to tell you but they'll steel their voice and try their hardest to come off confident and sure. they want to reassure you that they love you, that you're theirs and they're yours and there's nothing in the world they'd love more than for you to lower your walls for them. they want you to treat their relationship like home. they want you to be comfortable, happy, safe, warm. their love for you is unconditional, darling, so be as clingy as you want, okay?
gawain, yeong-bae, eun-jeong, emm, isamu
Tumblr media
Yeah, bitch, you are clingy and it is annoying. Is that what you want him to say? Shut the fuck up! If he thought you were too clingy, he would've told you! Don't fucking thing he's some passive aggressive asshole that would imply things instead of just being straight with you. He loves you for you, in all of your entirety, and he'll literally be so pissed off if you even think about holding something about you back, no matter how small you think it is. And, anyway, he's the clingier one of the two of you so he doesn't know what the fuck you're talking about.

Love Blooms | Chapter Three
Tumblr media
🌾Fic Pairing: Jin x Hoseok 🌾Rating: MA 🌾Genre: divorced, single father AU | angst, fluff, smut 🌾WC: 8854
⚠implied homophobia, smut
Jin was sorting through Eun-Ji's colorful array of drawing pencils when the soft chime of the doorbell interrupted the tranquility of the afternoon. He glanced at the clock, wondering who could be visiting unannounced in the middle of the day. With a pencil still in hand, he strode to the door and opened it to reveal Soo-Min standing on his doorstep, her arms crossed and her brows knitted in an all-too-familiar disapproving furrow.
"May I come in?" she asked without preamble, her voice carrying an edge that hinted at the storm brewing behind her eyes.
"Of course," Jin replied, stepping aside to allow her entry. The light-heartedness that had been floating through the apartment seemed to condense into a thick tension as Soo-Min entered.
As they settled in the living room, the soft cushions of the couch contrasted with the hardness of the conversation that was about to unfold. Soo-Min wasted no time. "I heard about your... friend," she said, the pause before 'friend' loaded with disapproval. "Hoseok, is it?"
Jin nodded, his grip tightening around the forgotten pencils, the rainbow hues now gripped in a white-knuckled hand. "Yes, Hoseok."
"I don't think it's appropriate for Eun-Ji to be around that," Soo-Min continued sharply. "I want you to keep him away from our daughter."
Jin's throat tightened. This was the moment he had feared, the confrontation he had hoped to avoid. He studied the rug's pattern underfoot, tracing the woven threads as if they could guide him to the right words. He wanted to stand up for Hoseok, for himself, but the thought of Eun-Ji being caught in the middle pulled at him like an anchor.
"Look, Soo-Min," Jin began, his voice measured, though the slight tremor betrayed his inner turmoil. "Hoseok is a good person. He cares about Eun-Ji, and she likes him. I wouldn't let anyone near her if I thought they'd do her harm."
Soo-Min pursed her lips, her gaze sharp enough to slice through his defenses. Jin felt the weight of her stare pressing down on him with all the gravity of their shared past. Yet, despite the pressure, something within him refused to bend completely—a newfound resolve inspired by Hoseok's own unyielding authenticity.
"Jin, I'm not questioning his character," Soo-Min retorted. "But think about the kind of influences—"
"Isn't it more important to teach Eun-Ji about love and acceptance?" Jin cut in, the heat of his conviction rising to his cheeks. He could feel his heart beating a frantic rhythm against his ribcage, yet he held her gaze, his own firm and unwavering.
“Love, yes,” Soo-Min countered, her voice laced with a hint of frustration. “But there’s a societal norm—”
“A norm that’s changing, Soo-Min,” Jin interjected, his voice gaining strength. “Eun-Ji will grow up in a world where love comes in all shapes and sizes. Shouldn’t we prepare her for that reality instead of clinging to outdated ideas?”
Soo-Min’s mouth thinned into a line, a flicker of uncertainty crossing her eyes. The air grew thick with tension. The only sound was their ragged breaths. Jin watched her closely, a silent plea in his gaze.
“It’s not about outdated ideas, Jin,” Soo-Min finally said, her voice quieter now. “It’s about what I think is best for Eun-Ji.”
Jin leaned forward, his voice dropping to a low murmur. “And what’s best for Eun-Ji is to have happy, accepting parents. What message does it send her if we can’t celebrate love, even if it’s different from what we expected?”
Soo-Min remained silent, her gaze dropping to the coffee table for a moment. They sat there, locked in silent contention, the air between them thick with unsaid words and unacknowledged fears. Jin's fingers relaxed around the pencils, a patchwork of color now etched onto his palm. He watched Soo-Min closely, noting the flicker of uncertainty in her eyes, the slight quiver in her perspective.
The silence stretched, heavy with the weight of unresolved emotions. Jin watched Soo-Min, hoping to see a crack in her disapproval, a flicker of understanding. Finally, she sighed, a long, weary exhale.
“Look, Jin,” she said, her voice tight, “I won’t pretend to be happy about this. It’s
difficult for me to wrap my head around.”
Jin softened slightly. He knew change, especially regarding deeply held beliefs, could be a slow process. “I understand,” he admitted. “This is new for both of us. But can we at least agree on one thing?”
Soo-Min raised an eyebrow, a silent question.
“Eun-Ji’s happiness is our top priority,” Jin pressed on. “Regardless of who I’m dating, wouldn’t you want them to feel comfortable and accepted?”
Soo-Min hesitated, then nodded slowly. “Of course. But there’s a difference between accepting someone and exposing Eun-Ji to
a lifestyle that might confuse her.”
Jin chose his words carefully. “Maybe it wouldn’t confuse her. Maybe it would just be normal. Kids are more accepting than we give them credit for. What if, by seeing a healthy, loving relationship between Hoseok and me, she learns that love is love, no matter what?”
Soo-Min didn’t respond immediately, worry etching lines on her forehead. “Maybe,” she conceded finally, the word laced with doubt.
Jin saw an opening. “How about this? Before you jump to conclusions, why don’t you meet Hoseok? Get to know him as a person, not just my partner. Maybe then you’ll see there’s nothing to be afraid of.”
Soo-Min’s lips pressed into a thin line. The suggestion hung in the air, a challenge and an olive branch all at once. The conversation wouldn’t change her mind overnight, but Jin had planted a seed. Now, he had to wait and see if it would take root.
“Jin,” she finally began, her voice low, “you know I can’t guarantee anything. But
” she paused, taking a deep breath. “For Eun-Ji’s sake, I’m willing to try. But,” her voice hardened slightly, “don’t expect miracles.”
A flicker of relief washed over Jin. It wasn’t acceptance, but it was a concession, a willingness to consider. “That’s all I ask. Just an open mind.”
“When?” she finally asked, her voice barely a whisper.
“How about next weekend?” Jin suggested, hoping to capitalize on the tentative truce. “We could all grab lunch together. Casual, no pressure.”
Soo-Min considered this for a moment, a flicker of something unreadable crossing her eyes. Finally, she nodded curtly. “Fine. Next weekend.”
The agreement lay between them, fragile and uncertain. Jin knew this was just the beginning, a small step towards a future that remained unclear. But for now, the possibility of acceptance, for both Hoseok and Eun-Ji’s sake, was enough to spark a flicker of hope within him.
The door clicked softly behind Soo-Min as she left, her parting words echoing in Jin's mind like the fading resonance of a struck bell. He sank back against the kitchen counter, the cool tile somehow grounding him amidst the storm of emotions brewing within. His gaze drifted over to Eun-Ji's crayon masterpieces on the refrigerator—an array of vibrant expressions of joy and innocence.
"Love and acceptance," Jin murmured again, but this time the mantra seemed to crumble under the weight of Soo-Min's disapproval. The air felt heavier, tinged with self-doubt that crept into his thoughts, clouding his once-clear conviction. What if she was right? What if his choices were selfish? What if Hoseok's presence did more harm than good?
"Damn it," he muttered, raking a hand through his hair. It wasn't just anger that furrowed his brow, but an acute sadness too—sadness for the struggle that had become a tightrope walk between personal happiness and parental responsibility.
Clutching his phone, Jin hesitated a moment before dialing Jimin's number. He needed a friend, a confidant—a lifeline. The call connected, and hearing the familiar click signified more than just a connection; it was an opening to a sanctuary.
"Hey, Jimin," Jin began, the words tumbling out in a torrent. "I need... I just need someone to talk to."
"Spill it," came Jimin's immediate response, his voice a warm embrace in the chill of Jin's doubts.
So Jin did. He recounted every detail of Soo-Min's unexpected visit, each word of her disapproval, how it made him feel like a small boat caught in a squall, unmoored and directionless.
"Jin, you're overthinking this," Jimin interjected gently after a lengthy pause, his calmness a stark contrast to the tempest in Jin's mind. "You know your heart. You know Eun-Ji. That's what matters."
"Is it enough, though?" Jin's voice was barely above a whisper as he confessed his deepest insecurities.
"More than enough," Jimin affirmed, with the confidence of someone who had faced his own battles and emerged stronger. "Eun-Ji is lucky to have you. And as for Hoseok, if he makes you happy, then that's a happiness Eun-Ji will see—and learn from. Isn't that the kind of influence we want for our kids?"
Jin let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding, feeling the knot of tension in his chest begin to unravel. Jimin's words weren't just comforting—they were a reminder of the power of authenticity, of the courage it took to live one's truth.
"Thanks, Jimin," Jin said, a smile creeping onto his lips despite the lingering echo of Soo-Min's words. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
"Probably grow a mustache and start wearing socks with sandals," Jimin teased, his dry wit a welcome lighthearted jab that punctured the gloom hanging over Jin.
"Never," Jin chuckled, feeling a sense of normalcy return. The conversation with Jimin had acted as a balm, soothing the raw edges of his worries. Love and acceptance—it wasn't just a mantra. It was a path forward, one Jin resolved to walk with his head held high.
The fairy lights strung across the patio twinkled like fallen stars, casting a warm glow over the bistro table. Hoseok pulled out Jin’s chair with a flourish, the smile on his face as bright as the lights overhead.
“Thanks for suggesting this place,” Jin said, settling into the seat. The quaint Italian restaurant boasted a cozy atmosphere and even cozier seating, perfect for a quiet date night.
“My pleasure,” Hoseok replied, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “Though, the real thanks should go to me for scoring a reservation.” He winked, a playful glint in his eye.
Jin chuckled, a blush creeping up his neck. “Smooth, Hoseok. Very smooth.”
A comfortable silence settled between them for a moment, broken only by the soft murmur of conversation and clinking silverware from nearby tables. Jin picked up the menu but found himself more interested in studying Hoseok from under his lashes. The way the fairy lights danced in his hair, the soft smile that never quite seemed to leave his lips - Jin felt a warmth bloom in his chest.
“Having second thoughts about your date?” Hoseok asked, his voice laced with amusement.
Jin snapped his gaze back to the menu, a flustered laugh escaping his lips. “Definitely not. Just, admiring the
 ambiance.”
Hoseok’s smile widened. “Well, the ambiance is definitely improved by the company,” he said, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “But seriously, what catches your eye?”
Jin relaxed a little, the playful banter easing his nerves. They spent the next few minutes discussing the menu, their laughter mingling with the music playing softly in the background. Finally, they placed their orders, a comfortable ease settling between them.
As they waited for their food, the conversation flowed effortlessly.
“So, Hoseok,” Jin began, “tell me about your passion for dance. You mentioned you’re a dancer, right?”
Hoseok’s eyes lit up. “Oh yeah! I’ve been dancing since I was a kid. Mostly street dance and hip hop, but I love exploring different styles too.”
“That’s amazing,” Jin said, genuinely impressed. “Eun-Ji’s been wanting to learn creative skills lately. Maybe dance could be an option.”
Hoseok’s smile widened. “Really? That’s great! I’d be happy to teach her some basic moves sometime. Kids seem to have a natural rhythm, you know.”
They continued talking about dance for a while, Jin sharing stories of his favorite dance movies from his youth, Hoseok explaining the appeal of different dance styles. The conversation then shifted to their dreams.
“So, what about you, Jin?” Hoseok asked. “What are your biggest dreams?”
Jin took a thoughtful sip of his water. “Honestly? My biggest dream right now is to be a good dad to Eun-Ji. But,” he laughed, “there’s another secret I’ve been harboring for a while. I’ve always dreamt of stepping onto the stage and becoming part of a local theater production. The idea of inhabiting a different character and bringing a story to life in front of a live audience is incredibly thrilling to me. Maybe someday I could even take an acting class and see where that journey leads.”
Hoseok’s eyes gleamed with excitement. “That’s amazing, Jin! I could totally see you as a thespian. You should totally go for it. Imagine the look on Eun-Ji’s face if she saw her dad up on stage!”
Jin ducks his head. “Well, would she be the only one watching me on stage?”
“No, she’d definitely have to compete with me for the best seats in the house.”
“I’m sure I can afford two VIP tickets.” Jin laughed, a warm feeling spreading through him. He was enjoying his time with Hoseok, the way they could talk about anything and everything.
When the food arrived, they dug in with gusto, stolen glances, and lingering touches, adding a layer of unspoken intimacy to the meal. With each passing moment, Jin felt a sense of contentment wash over him. Here, bathed in the warm glow of the fairy lights, with Hoseok across from him, everything felt perfect, uncomplicated.
As they finished their dessert, a slow, soulful melody began to play. Hoseok looked at Jin, his gaze warm and inviting. “This song is beautiful,” he said, his voice a low murmur. “I actually have a great sound system at my place. We could listen to the rest of the album there if you’d like.”
Jin felt a blush creep up his neck. The invitation was clear, yet Hoseok had phrased it casually, leaving the decision entirely in Jin’s hands. He met Hoseok’s gaze, a flicker of desire sparking in his chest. “That sounds lovely,” he finally replied, a smile playing on his lips.
Stepping out of the warm glow of the restaurant, the cool night air washed over them. Jin shivered slightly, pulling his jacket tighter around himself. Hoseok, ever observant, noticed the gesture and slipped his own arm around Jin’s shoulders, the warmth of his touch sending a welcome jolt through Jin.
“Here,” Hoseok offered, pulling a beanie out of his pocket. “Looks like you could use this.”
Jin took the hat, the soft knit, a stark contrast to the calloused hands that offered it. “Thanks,” he murmured, his voice barely a whisper as he inhaled the faint scent of citrus and something uniquely Hoseok that made his heart skip a beat.
They walked in a comfortable silence, the rhythmic click of their shoes against the pavement the only sound in the otherwise quiet street. The city lights twinkled above, casting an ethereal glow on their path.
Hoseok’s apartment turned out to be a haven of warm lighting and curated chaos. Records lined the shelves, vibrant paintings and sculptures decorated the space, and a collection of dance trophies sat proudly on a small side table.
Soon, the music from the restaurant started to play softly in the background. Jin turned around, catching Hoseok moving away from the record player. Hoseok poured them each a glass of wine, the clinking of the glasses echoing in the quiet room. They settled onto the worn leather couch, the atmosphere more intimate than the crowded restaurant from earlier.
Jin took a sip, the liquid smooth and warming his throat. He glanced over at Hoseok, who was watching him with a smile that seemed to hold a thousand unspoken questions.
“This is your space,” Jin finally said, gesturing around the room. “It tells a lot about you.”
Hoseok chuckled, a warm, inviting sound. “It definitely does. A little messy, a little chaotic, but it’s me.”
“I like it.” Jin looks around, slightly confused. “Where’s that cute dog of yours?”
“Oh, Mickey? He’s with my brother, Yoongi. He’ll drop him off sometime tonight or in the morning.”
They sipped on their wine for a while, the music weaving its magic between them. Slowly, the conversation picked up again, this time taking a more personal turn.
“So, Jin,” he began, his voice soft, “tell me about your love life. You mentioned you were married before, but have there been any relationships since then?”
Jin chuckled, a touch of nervousness in his voice. “Honestly, not really. It’s been a bit of an adjustment, you know, getting back into the dating scene after marriage and also coming to terms with the fact that I’m gay.”
Hoseok’s eyebrows shot up in surprise, but his expression quickly softened into understanding. “Jin,” he said gently, “it takes a lot of courage to come to terms with your sexuality, especially later in life. I admire your honesty.”
Jin offered a humorless laugh. “Truth is, Soo-Min and I drifted apart long before the divorce. There was just
a disconnect. Maybe because I never truly admitted to myself, or her, that I was only attracted to men.”
“That sounds tough,” Hoseok said sympathetically. “It takes a lot of strength to walk away from a marriage, especially when there’s a child involved.”
Jin appreciated the sentiment. “Yeah, it wasn’t easy. All the fighting was really starting to upset Eun-Ji, and she was walking on eggshells around us.  But Eun-Ji is happy now, and Soo-Min and I are working on co-parenting. That’s the most important thing.”
Hoseok nodded. “So, what are you looking for now in a relationship?”
Jin thought for a moment. “Honestly, I’m just looking for someone who understands me, you know? Someone who I can connect with on a deeper level and who will be a good role model for Eun-Ji. Someone like you, maybe.”
A smile spread across Hoseok’s face, his eyes twinkling with warmth. “I like the sound of that.”
Suddenly, the music shifted to a slow, soulful ballad. Hoseok’s gaze met Jin’s, a silent question hanging in the air. Jin felt his heart skip a beat. He wasn’t sure if he was ready for a physical step forward, but the emotional connection he felt with Hoseok was undeniable.
Hoseok stood up, his eyes searching Jin’s. “May I?” he asked, extending a hand.
Jin hesitated for a moment, then placed his hand in Hoseok’s. The touch sent a jolt through him, a spark of electricity that ignited a dormant fire within. Hoseok pulled him gently to his feet, their bodies close but not touching. He could feel the warmth radiating from Hoseok and smell the faint citrus scent of his cologne.
For a moment, they simply stood there, lost in each other’s gaze. The unspoken tension vibrated between them, a silent question hanging in the air. Then, slowly, Hoseok leaned in, his lips brushing against Jin’s ear.
“This feels right, doesn’t it?” he whispered, his voice sending shivers down Jin’s spine.
Jin closed his eyes, a single word escaping his lips. “Yes.”
The kiss that followed was slow and tender, a gentle exploration that spoke volumes. Jin’s heart raced as he wrapped his arms around Hoseok’s neck, pulling him closer. The warmth of Hoseok's body against his own felt comforting and familiar despite it being their first real physical contact.
As they broke apart, Jin couldn’t help but smile at the sight of Hoseok’s flushed cheeks and slightly parted lips. He had never felt such an intense connection with someone before.
Hoseok took a step back, his hand still lingering on Jin’s waist. “I’m sorry if I overstepped,” he said apologetically.
Jin shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. “No, it’s okay. I wanted this too.”
A relieved expression crossed Hoseok’s face before he leaned in for another kiss. This one was more urgent and passionate than the last, each movement filled with a desire that had been building between them since the moment they met. Their bodies moved together in perfect sync as they kissed, hands roaming freely over each other's bodies. Jin could feel himself getting lost in the sensations, his mind consumed by Hoseok's touch.
When they finally pulled away to catch their breaths, Jin couldn’t help but chuckle at how disheveled they both looked. His hair was mussed up, and a pink flush spread across Hoseok’s cheeks. “This is starting to feel like a teenage make-out session,” Jin said jokingly.
Hoseok laughed along with him before pulling Jin into a tight hug. “I don’t care how old we are,” he mumbled into Jin’s shoulder. “I’ve wanted to do this since I first saw you.”
Jin smiled against Hoseok's neck before pulling away to look at him. “Me too,” he admitted honestly.
The playful banter died down as their gazes locked again. There was a newfound intensity in the air, the lingering taste of the kiss hanging heavy between them. Jin's hand instinctively reached out, tracing a soft line down Hoseok's cheek.
"Let's go back to the couch," Hoseok murmured, his voice husky with desire.
Jin followed him willingly, the plush cushions sinking beneath their weight. Hoseok settled them in, his body warm and inviting against Jin's side.
This time, the kiss was different. It started slow and deliberate, exploring every corner of each other's lips. Tongues danced, a silent conversation spoken in heated touches. Jin felt a spark ignite within him, a yearning he hadn't known existed.
Hoseok's hands trailed down Jin's back, sending shivers erupting across his skin. His touch was a delicious combination of gentle and firm, igniting a fire that spread through Jin's body. Jin reciprocated, his fingers finding purchase in Hoseok's hair, deepening the kiss further. They explored each other with a newfound urgency, their inhibitions melting away with each touch.
As the heat intensified, Hoseok pulled away slightly, his chest heaving. His eyes, a dark smolder, met Jin's. "Maybe," he whispered, his voice thick with desire, "we should slow down a bit."
Jin, breathless and slightly dazed, nodded in agreement. He knew Hoseok was right. This was all so new, so exhilarating, and he didn't want to rush anything. Still, he couldn't help but let out a soft moan of protest when Hoseok's lips migrated down his neck, sending shivers cascading down his spine.
Hoseok chuckled, the sound warm and intimate. "Don't worry," he whispered, placing a feather-light kiss on Jin's collarbone. "There's plenty of time to explore later." He nuzzled closer, wrapping his arm around Jin's waist and pulling him into a comforting embrace.
Jin sighed contentedly, a deep sense of peace settling over him. The physical intimacy had been electrifying, but the feeling of being held close by Hoseok, feeling safe and desired, was just as intoxicating.
"So," Hoseok said softly, breaking the comfortable silence, "it's getting late. How about you stay the night? We can cuddle on the couch and watch a movie."
Jin felt a warmth blossom in his chest. It wasn't just about the physical attraction; there was a genuine connection here, something he craved. "Yeah," he replied with a smile, "that sounds perfect."
The last pancake landed on the plate with a satisfying plop, Jin's practiced wrist flick earning him a silent victory. Sunlight, a warm intruder, spilled through the kitchen window, painting the countertops in a golden glow. A new day dawned, carrying with it a newfound resolve. The echo of his friend's unwavering support still resonated within him. Soo-Min's disapproval wouldn't be the captain of his heart's course any longer. Choosing joy, the kind that bloomed with Hoseok by his side, felt like shedding a heavy cloak. A lighter version of Jin, ready to face the day, stood there, a smile playing on his lips.
"Smells amazing," Hoseok commented as he sauntered into the kitchen, his tousled brown hair catching the light, the corners of his mouth lifting into an easy smile that reached his eyes.
"Thanks," Jin replied, placing the golden-brown pancakes onto a plate. "I hope they taste as good as they smell."
"I’m sure anything you make is delicious," Hoseok assured him, reaching out to steal a piece of pancake, only to have his hand playfully swatted away.
"Patience," Jin teased, his heart swelling at the simple domesticity of their morning. They both lingered, enjoying this novel moment, savoring the slow-paced comfort of sharing smiles and light banter.
As they settled back on the couch for breakfast, their bodies naturally gravitated closer. Thighs brushed, shoulders grazed, a comfortable silence settling between them before morphing into easy conversation. Light chatter about everything and nothing morphed as Jin pivoted the conversation.
“So,” Jin began, “tell me more about this mischievous dog of yours.”
Hoseok chuckled, a warm sound that filled the room. “Oh, you wouldn’t believe the trouble he is in. Just yesterday—”
Hoseok launched into a story with such enthusiasm Jin could practically picture the tiny culprit in action. "...and there he was, nose buried in a flowerbed, completely oblivious to the trail of uprooted tulips he'd left in his wake!"
Jin laughed, shaking his head. "Sounds like a character, that Mickey of yours."
"He is," Hoseok agreed, a fond smile gracing his lips. "But he's also a cuddle monster and the best alarm clock a guy could ask for."
"Speaking of Mickey," Jin began, a mischievous glint in his eyes, "maybe we should give him a chance to stretch his legs before I head home?"
Hoseok's smile widened. "You up for a walk in the park? I know a great spot not far from here."
"Absolutely," Jin said, already pushing himself up from the couch. "Fresh air sounds perfect."
Hoseok disappeared for a moment, returning with a leash and a bright orange ball clutched in his hand. A tiny, white, and brown blur shot past his legs, a joyful bark erupting from its throat.
"There he is," Hoseok chuckled, scooping the excited Shih Tzu into his arms. "Mickey, meet Jin. Jin, meet the master of mayhem himself."
Mickey, all fluffy fur and boundless energy, licked Hoseok's face with abandon before turning his attention to Jin. He wagged his tail furiously, a happy whine escaping his tiny body.
Jin knelt down, offering Mickey a tentative hand. The dog sniffed it cautiously before giving it a couple of enthusiastic licks. Jin felt a smile bloom on his face. Maybe, just maybe, this little guy wouldn't be so bad to have around.
"Alright, Mickey," Hoseok announced, clipping the leash onto his collar, "let's go show Jin your favorite digging spot!"
Mickey barked again, his entire body wiggling with excitement as they headed out the door, ready to greet the day with sunshine, laughter, and maybe a few uprooted flowers along the way.
They strolled through the park, hands brushing against each other until fingers tentatively intertwined—a silent acknowledgment of the bond forming between them. Trees overhead whispered in the breeze, leaves rustling like the fluttering of hearts open to possibility.
"Look at that," Hoseok pointed towards a group of kids chasing each other around the playground, laughter filling the air. "Pure, uninhibited joy."
"Reminds me of someone," Jin remarked, nudging Hoseok gently with his shoulder. It wasn't just the children who reminded Jin of unbridled happiness; it was Hoseok himself, with his vivacity and charm.
"Guilty as charged," Hoseok grinned, squeezing Jin's hand.
When the conversation shifted to more serious matters—the challenges of past relationships and the complexities of navigating life as a single parent—they found solace in each other's understanding. Hoseok listened intently as Jin opened up about Eun-Ji, his love for her evident in every word.
"Thank you," Jin said after a pause, his voice soft as a whisper of leaves. "For being here, for listening, for... just being you."
"Where else would I be?" Hoseok replied, his voice laced with sincerity. "Besides, you're stuck with me now, Jin."
"Stuck, huh?" Jin teased back, but the warmth in his chest told him that 'stuck' was exactly where he wanted to be.
Several days later, Jin watched with a fond smile as Hoseok chased the giggling children around the park, his tousled brown hair catching the sunlight. The laughter seemed to dance on the breeze, weaving through the air like a song of pure joy. Jimin sat beside Jin on the bench, their eyes following the playful scene before them. Every now and then, a dry quip would escape from Jimin's lips, and Jin would chuckle, shaking his head at his friend's wit.
"Look at them," Jin murmured, gesturing toward Hoseok, who had just been 'tagged' and was now pretending to be it, much to the kids' delight. "They're so... free."
"Freedom looks good on you, too, Jin," Jimin replied, nudging him gently with an elbow. "I'm telling you, happiness suits you."
“You’re right,” Jin said finally, his voice filled with a quiet contentment.” There’s a lightness to me I haven’t felt in years.”
Jimin raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile playing on his lips. “The power of a good first date, or maybe a good few after that?”
Jin chuckled as the memory of their many kisses radiated through him. “Both, maybe. But it’s more than that. It’s feeling accepted for who I am, not just by Hoseok but by myself, too.”
Jimin nodded thoughtfully. “That’s a powerful thing, Jin. It takes courage to face yourself, to accept your own truth. And it seems like you’re doing a damn good job of it.”
The day carried on like that, with bursts of laughter punctuating the gentle hum of the world around them. Outings with Hoseok had become frequent, each bringing a new layer of closeness, a shared look here, an intertwined hand there.
Back at Jin's apartment, the sun began its descent, painting the sky in soft pinks and lavenders. It was time for dinner, and Jin moved around the kitchen with ease, a rhythm to his movements that felt like a dance. The table was set with his best dishes, each place arranged with deliberate care. He added a vase of fresh flowers in the center, their scent mingling with the aromas of the cooking food.
Hoseok entered the kitchen, drying his hands on a towel, and wrapped his arms around Jin from behind, resting his chin on Jin's shoulder. "Need any help?" he asked, his voice a warm whisper against Jin's ear.
"Just your presence is enough," Jin replied, leaning back into the embrace for a moment before turning to face Hoseok. Their eyes met, and everything else fell away—the clatter of dishes, the simmering pots, the outside world—none of it mattered.
"I can't believe this is real," Jin confessed, his words soft but filled with wonder.
"Believe it," Hoseok said, pressing a quick kiss to Jin's forehead. "Because I'm not going anywhere."
Together, they finished the preparations, Hoseok setting out the silverware while Jin checked on the bubbling stew. It was a simple act, creating a meal together, but it was imbued with significance.
Jin took a step back, surveying the scene: the table bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun, Hoseok's easy smile, the sound of children's voices drifting in from the other room being entertained by Jimin. It was more than he could have hoped for, a sense of belonging that was palpable, comforting, and above all, real.
"Everything looks perfect," Hoseok said, joining Jin in his contemplation.
"It does, doesn't it?" Jin agreed, feeling a contentment that ran deep. Tonight, they would gather at this table, share food and stories, and solidify the bonds that had already begun to take root.
"Let's eat," Jin announced, calling everyone to the table, ready to fill the room with the sounds of clinking glasses, shared laughter, and the quiet warmth of love in its many forms.
Eun-Ji's small hands fluttered like butterflies as she arranged the napkins beside each plate, her movements meticulous yet imbued with the carefree energy of a child. Jin watched his daughter from across the kitchen, a tender smile on his lips. The sound of her humming a tune they had danced to just days before filled the space between them, intertwining with the savory scent of the meal simmering on the stove.
"Appa, do you think Hoseokie will like the flowers?" Eun-Ji asked, her voice tinged with hope and the faintest quiver of uncertainty.
"Of course he will," Jin assured her, his heart swelling with pride at her thoughtfulness. "You picked them out yourself, didn't you? They're beautiful."
Beaming, Eun-Ji returned to her task, adding a final flourish to the table setting with a cluster of wildflowers she had insisted on picking during their afternoon walk. Each blossom stood vibrant against the soft cream of the tablecloth, a testament to the new life they were cultivating together—bright, bold, and full of promise.
The anticipation in the apartment was palpable, an electric current that buzzed through the air, charged with the excitement of shared moments yet to come. Jin glanced at the clock, noting the minutes ticking by, each second a step closer to the arrival that would complete their little assembly.
And then, the moment arrived. The unmistakable sound of a firm knock at the door sent Eun-Ji scampering toward the entrance, her giggles trailing behind her like a melody. Jin wiped his hands on a kitchen towel and followed, his own pulse quickening with every footstep.
Eun-Ji's squeals reached a crescendo as Hoseok is shown standing in the now open doorway, tousled brown hair framing his face, that infectious smile already in place. "Hoseokie!" she exclaimed, throwing herself into his open arms.
"Hey there, superstar," Hoseok chuckled, lifting Eun-Ji into a hug that lifted her feet off the ground and spun her around in a gentle whirl. "I've missed you, too."
Their laughter mingled, a sweet melody to Jin's ears. As he approached, Hoseok set Eun-Ji down, and she immediately began tugging at his hand, eager to show off the evening's preparations. But first, Hoseok's gaze met Jin's, and the world seemed to soften around the edges.
"Hi," Jin said softly, the words carrying more weight than the simple greeting implied.
Eun-Ji pulled Hoseok towards the table, her excitement palpable as she pointed out all the dishes she had helped make. Her chatter filled the space, but Jin found himself lost in Hoseok's gaze, his breath catching in his throat.
It was this feeling, the one that settled over Jin whenever Hoseok was near. It was warm and familiar, like slipping into a well-worn sweater on a cold day. But it was also new and exhilarating, like discovering a hidden gem in the midst of a crowded city.
"Jin-hyung," Hoseok said softly, breaking through Jin's thoughts with his gentle voice. "Everything looks amazing."
"Thank you," Jin replied, feeling his cheeks flush under Hoseok's praise. He couldn't help but feel proud of their little family and the home they were creating together.
As they sat down to eat, Eun-Ji chattered on about her day at school and asked Hoseok about his work at the dance studio. Jin watched Hoseok's eyes light up when he talked about his students and their progress. It reminded him of how passionate and dedicated Hoseok was to his craft.
After dinner, Eun-Ji begged them to have a dance party in the living room. With a quick glance at Hoseok, who nodded eagerly, Jin agreed. The three of them pushed back the furniture and turned up the music as they danced around together in joyful abandon. In that moment, surrounded by laughter and love, Jin felt more alive than he ever had before. He couldn't remember the last time he had felt this happy or content.
As they twirled around to an upbeat song, Eun-Ji accidentally tripped over her own feet and fell to the ground with a thud. She let out a little cry before bursting into tears.
Hoseok immediately dropped down next to her, scooping her into his arms. "It's okay, Eun-Ji," he soothed. "You're okay. It just looked like a big fall."
"My knee hurts," Eun-Ji whimpered, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Hoseok gently checked her knee for any visible signs of injury but couldn't see any cuts or scrapes. "It's probably just a bruise," he reassured her.
Eun-Ji nodded but continued to sniffle as she snuggled closer to Hoseok, seeking comfort. Seeing the scene before him, Jin's heart swelled with warmth and protectiveness. He loved the way Hoseok effortlessly comforted Eun-Ji, offering a tenderness he had never seen in her mother.
"Let's get her cleaned up and put on some ice," Jin suggested. He gently took Eun-Ji from Hoseok's arms and carried her toward the bathroom.
As he cleaned her knee and applied a cold compress, Eun-Ji continued to sob intermittently, but eventually, her cries subsided into hiccups. Jin held her close, whispering soothing words until her eyes finally fluttered closed sleepily.
He carried her back to the living room, pausing only to let Hoseok know he was going to get her ready for bed, but he’d be back momentarily. Hoseok studied the portraits sporadically decorating the living space as he listened to Jin’s gentle voice guide Eun-Ji through her bedtime routine.
He turned on his heel as he heard a throat being cleared behind him. Observing Jin’s still slightly worried expression, Hoseok closed the distance between them, cupping the older man’s cheek.
"She'll be okay," Hoseok whispered, his eyes meeting Jin's.
"Thank you," Jin said sincerely. He meant it on so many levels: for comforting Eun-Ji when she fell, for being there for her, and for making Jin's life brighter.
Hoseok's smile softened. "It's no problem. I care about both of you."
Jin felt his own smile tugging at his lips. He couldn't imagine his life without Hoseok now. He was everything Jin had never known he needed, a partner, a confidante, a friend. And maybe, just maybe, something more.
The soft glow of the lamp cast long shadows across the room, creating an atmosphere of intimacy and warmth. Jin reached out and gently took Hoseok's hand, their fingers intertwining. The warmth of Hoseok’s hand sent a tingle through Jin that wasn’t entirely unwelcome. He squeezed back gently, their eyes meeting across the space between them. There was a question in Hoseok’s gaze, a hesitant vulnerability that mirrored Jin’s own feelings.
“Can I
?” Hoseok began, his voice a low murmur that sent shivers down Jin’s spine.
Jin swallowed, his throat suddenly dry. “Yes,” he breathed, the word barely audible but laced with a desire he couldn’t deny any longer.
Hoseok’s smile turned into a slow, seductive grin. He leaned in slowly, his eyes never leaving Jin’s. As their lips met, the kiss was different from their previous encounters. This one was charged with a newfound intensity, a hunger that had been simmering beneath the surface. They explored each other’s mouths with a deeper urgency, their bodies pressing close, seeking warmth and connection.
Jin’s hand traveled up Hoseok’s arm, sending sparks flying where his fingers brushed against bare skin. Hoseok responded by deepening the kiss, his tongue dancing with Jin’s in a silent conversation. Long shadows stretched and danced, their own silent ballet. Their clothes became an encumbrance rather than a comfort.
With a shared gasp, they pulled apart, chests heaving with exertion. Jin’s eyes fluttered open, meeting Hoseok’s gaze, which burned with a desire that mirrored his own. In that unspoken moment, a silent agreement passed between them.
“My bedroom’s down the hall,” Jin murmured, his voice husky with desire despite the nervous excitement bubbling in his stomach. This was unchartered territory, but the thought of exploring it further with Hoseok was exhilarating.
Without another word, they stumbled down the hallway, hands entwined like they’d always been meant to be together. The door to Jin’s bedroom closed with a soft click behind them, sealing them in their own private world.
The room was awash in the soft glow of the moonlight filtering through sheer curtains, casting everything in a silver hue. Hesitantly, Jin reached out once more for Hoseok, his heart pounding a frantic rhythm in his chest. His fingers trembled slightly as he began to undress Hoseok, letting each article of clothing drop to the floor with a confidence that Jin had never known himself capable of.
Hoseok’s eyes never left his as he let Jin explore him, every touch and caress imprinting on his memory banks. He felt more alive than he had in years as Hoseok’s hands now traveled up his shirt, unbuttoning it with practiced ease. They both knew this was right, that this connection was something special.
As the last piece of fabric fell away, they stood nearly bare before each other. Every flaw and imperfection laid bare under the moonlight. But instead of retreating, they moved closer, drawn to one another like magnets. Hesitant but eager kisses soon turned passionate. Hands roamed over each other's bodies, memorizing every curve and dip. Moans escaped their lips as their arousals pressed together inside their boxers; the desire for more was nearly suffocating.
With shaking hands, they removed the final barrier between them before their bodies met in a hot rush of skin-on-skin contact that left them both gasping for air. Jin moaned into Hoseok’s mouth as their hips rocked together in a primal rhythm, their bodies finding effortless synchronicity. Heat pooled low in his stomach, with a building pressure threatening to consume him whole.
“Fuck, you’re beautiful,” Hoseok murmured, his lips mouthing down the side of Jin’s neck as he backed them toward the bed.
Jin wanted to touch Hoseok everywhere, not even knowing where to start — the pressure of his hard dick against his own felt so good. Jin’s knees buckled as he felt the back of the mattress pressed to his legs. Hoseok followed him down, reconnecting their mouths in a wild, messy kiss.
Hoseok settled on Jin’s lap, arms slipping around the broad shoulders of his hyung. Moans echoed between parted lips as their lengths came back in contact. Hoseok slowly, deliberately rocked his hips, dragging their cocks against each other.
Jin’s fingers dug into the curve of Hoseok’s waist. “Please,” he breathed desperately.
“Please, what?” Hoseok continued to tease their cocks together. “Tell me what you want, baby.”
Jin worried at his kiss-bitten lip before blurting out his desire. “Will you fuck me?”
The motion of Hoseok’s hips stilled, his hand cupping Jin’s nape. “Are you sure? We can, but we don’t have to do anything—”
“I’m positive,” Jin cut Hoseok off, hands sliding down to grip his hips.
“Okay, baby, I got you.” Hoseok sealed their lips together again, resuming the rocking of his hips.
“Condom,” Jin managed to gasp out between heated kisses, motioning toward his nightstand. As Hoseok reached for the foil packet and lube in the nightstand, he couldn’t help but marvel at how natural this felt. This was right, like puzzle pieces clicking into place after years of being misplaced.
Jin scooted back on the bed, resting his head on the pillows. Hoseok slipped back between Jin’s spread legs, soothing a hand down the older man’s thigh as he settled between them.
Hoseok sheathed himself in the condom before warming a generous amount of lube on his fingers. Hoseok leaned over Jin, pressing open-mouth kisses along Jin’s hipbone as he began to tease a single digit at Jin’s entrance.
“Relax, baby,” Hoseok murmured. Hoseok continued to gently rub at the furled muscle before slowly easing his finger inside. Jin pressed his head back into the pillow, a moan escaping.
Hoseok watched Jin intently as he gently but efficiently prepped him. Soon Hoseok had Jin a writhing mess, three fingers pressed deep and the other hand wrapped around his weeping cock.
“Please, please, please,” Jin begged, his chest and neck flushed with want.
“Okay, okay,” Hoseok soothed as he slowly withdrew and positioned himself between Jin’s spread thighs.
They stared into each other’s eyes as Hoseok slowly pressed inside of him. Jin gasped at the breached feeling, unfamiliar and yet strangely exhilarating. He had never known this kind of intimacy was possible with a man before tonight.
As Hoseok began to rock his hips, picking up speed, Jin moaned loudly, his head tilted back in ecstasy. His nails dug crescents into Hoseok’s back as white-hot pleasure coursed through him. He'd never felt so alive, so free.
“Slow down,” Jin panted, “I don’t want this to end.”
But Hoseok either didn't hear him or chose to ignore the plea because he continued to move faster, thrusting deep within him until they were both moaning loudly — consumed by passion. Jin tried to muffle his moans in the crook of Hoseok’s neck, but it was nearly pointless as he was stretched so full that it was almost too much. But the pleasure that seared through his body, he didn’t ever want it to stop.
Finally, unable to take any more, Jin arched his back and came with a muffled shout into his fist. Wave after wave of pleasure washed over him, centering him in a way nothing else ever had before. Hoseok followed suit moments later with a hoarse cry of his own that seemed to reverberate through the room, their bodies intertwined together in their shared euphoria.
As their bodies came down from the high of their releases, Hoseok collapsed onto top of Jin, both of them breathing heavily. They lay there for a few moments, basking in the afterglow until Hoseok finally rolled off and pulled Jin into his arms.
“Are you okay?” Hoseok asked, concern lacing his voice as he pressed a kiss to Jin’s temple.
Jin nodded, a small smile on his face as he snuggled closer to Hoseok. “I’m more than okay,” he replied softly. A comfortable silence settled over the two before Hoseok murmured that he would be right back and slipped out of bed.
Hoseok padded quickly to the en suite bathroom, disposing of the used condom and grabbing a warm rag. He quickly returned and knelt next to the still-prone Jin and proceeded to gently clean him up. A small smile played along Jin’s kiss-swollen lips, enjoying the aftercare.
Tossing the rag, Hoseok slipped them both under the sheets, pulling Jin into his arms. They cuddled close, whispering to each other until they both drifted off to sleep.
Jin awoke to the sound of Eun-Ji's giggles and Hoseok's soft laughter. Blinking sleep out of his eyes, he sat up in bed, the events of last night rushing back to him. His body ached in a good way as he recalled his first time with Hoseok, and a slow blush crept up his neck.
Slipping out of bed, he quickly changed the sheets and slipped into a pair of joggers and a shirt before padding into the living room. The sight that greeted him warmed his heart. Eun-Ji was perched at the breakfast bar next to Hoseok as they munched on cereal. Jin could hear Eun-Ji chatter away about what would happen at school that week.
"Morning," Hoseok greeted briefly, resting his eyes on Jin before returning his attention to Eun-Ji.
"Morn," Jin mumbled, rubbing at his disheveled hair before yawning widely.
"Sleep well?" Hoseok asked with a grin after Eun-Ji finished her story, knowing full well the answer.
"What time is it?" he asked, realizing he'd slept much later than usual.
"Just past eight," Hoseok replied, finally looking up at him. "I let you sleep in since you seemed...tired." His eyes twinkled with mischief as they raked over Jin's lithe frame.
Jin felt the heat rise to his cheeks once more as he walked over to the coffeemaker in the kitchen area. "Thanks for getting her breakfast," he mumbled into his mug, unable to meet Hoseok's gaze.
“It’s no problem at all,” Hoseok replied, his voice warm and inviting. “I enjoy spending time with her.”
Jin couldn’t help but smile, feeling the truth of Hoseok’s words.
“Appa, can we go to the library today?” Eun-Ji asked, her eyes wide with anticipation.
“Of course, sweetie,” Jin replied, ruffling her hair affectionately. “But we have to get dressed first.”
Eun-Ji bounced in her seat, quickly devouring the rest of her breakfast. Jin watched as she slipped off the stool, placed her bowl in the sink, and rushed to her room to get ready.
Hoseok slipped around the counter and into Jin’s arms. “Good morning,” he said, nuzzling into Jin’s neck.
“You already said that,” Jin reminded Hoseok, his own hands resting on Hoseok’s hips.
Hoseok kissed his way up Jin’s neck to his lips. “I know. I thought it bore repeating,” he whispered right against Jin’s mouth before pressing them together in a sweet kiss.
Jin pulled away from the kiss, a playful smile tugging at his lips. "Alright, alright, you win. Best morning kiss ever awarded."
Hoseok chuckled, wrapping his arms around Jin's waist. "Just making sure you start your day off right."
The playful mood faded slightly as Jin cleared his throat. "Actually, there's something I need to talk to you about."
Hoseok's brow furrowed. "What's wrong?"
"Remember how I mentioned Soo-Min wanting to meet you?" Jin began, his voice hesitant.
Hoseok nodded, his smile fading completely. "Yeah. You never did tell me exactly why."
Taking a deep breath, Jin explained, "Well, the truth is, she's...not exactly thrilled about me dating someone new. Especially someone..." Jin hesitated, searching for the right words.
"Someone like me," Hoseok finished, his voice laced with a hint of bitterness.
"Exactly," Jin admitted. "She doesn't understand, doesn't approve of our lifestyle." He reached out and squeezed Hoseok's hand reassuringly. "But I'm hoping that maybe if she could meet you, get to know the kind of person you are – "
"That maybe she'll change her mind?" Hoseok finished, a flicker of hope battling the lingering hurt in his eyes.
"Honestly? Yes," Jin admitted. "Eun-Ji's happiness is the most important thing to me, and that includes having a healthy relationship with both of her parents. If Soo-Min can see that you're a good influence, someone who cares about both me and Eun-Ji, then maybe, just maybe, things can work out for all of us."
Hoseok considered this in silence for a moment, his gaze thoughtful. "So, what's the plan?"
"She wants to meet for lunch next weekend," Jin said. "Just the three of us, to get to know each other better. It'll be...awkward, for sure. But, I really think it's important."
Hoseok squeezed Jin's hand back, a determined glint in his eyes. "Alright. I'm in. If this helps things with Eun-Ji, then I'm happy to do it."
Jin let out a relieved sigh, a wave of gratitude washing over him. "Thank you, Hoseok. This means a lot."
Just then, Eun-Ji's voice piped up from the hallway. "Appa! Hoseok! I'm ready!"
The promise lingered thick in the air as Eun-Ji's cheerful voice cut through the tension. The weight of the conversation was momentarily pushed aside. "Alright, sweetie! I’m almost ready."
He turned back to Hoseok, a silent understanding in his eyes. "I'll call you later, okay?"
Hoseok nodded, a small smile gracing his lips. "Sounds good. Have a good time at the library."
Gathering his things, Hoseok cast a quick glance around the kitchen, a hint of lingering awkwardness clinging to him. "Is there anything I can do before I head out?"
Jin appreciated the offer. "Actually, there is. Eun-Ji spilled some juice on the counter this morning. Could you grab a paper towel for me?"
As Hoseok wiped down the counter, Jin returned to his room to quickly dress for the day. Jin returned after getting cleaned up and walked up behind Hoseok, resting his chin on Hoseok’s shoulder. “Thanks for doing that and for last– you know, last night.”
Hoseok's smiled and twisted in Jin’s arms to face him. "Trust me. It was my pleasure.” Hoseok pressed a quick peck to Jin’s lips. “I’ll see you later. Have a fun time at the library.” Hoseok gave Jin one last squeeze before stepping out the front door.
Jin gazed at the closed door for several beats before calling for Eun-Ji. “Sweetie, are you ready to go?”
Eun-Ji emerged from her room, clutching her favorite stuffed dinosaur, Mr. Rex. "Can we get some new books about dinosaurs?"
Jin chuckled. "Of course, sweetie. We can always find some new dinosaur adventures."
Jin quickly packed a small bag with snacks and water bottles. The upcoming lunch with Soo-Min loomed large in his mind, but he pushed those worries aside for now. He wouldn't let them ruin his day with Eun-Ji.
"Are you ready to go yet, Appa?" Eun-Ji chirped.
Jin smiled, the warmth spreading through him genuine this time. "Absolutely, sweetie. Let's go explore some prehistoric worlds!"
With that, they locked the door behind them and headed out to the car, ready for a fun-filled afternoon at the library, a new adventure waiting to be had.

Winter |
Tumblr media
"Winter paused long enough to feel the shiver of trees, the stars and the breeze, the marvel of nature in pure harmony." (Angie Weiland-Crosby.)
Characters: Choi Jong-in, Cha Hae-in, Sung Jin-woo, Woo Jin-chul, Eun-seok, Lee Ju-hee, & Min Byung-gyu.
~ ❆ ~
Choi Jong-in
‱ He wondered if he could ever get cold. The soft freezing wind, nibbling on one's skin, always turned into warmth when it touched his own. Snowflakes melted in his palms and had not lasted a few seconds in his hand. Jong-in used to be fascinated with the cold season, wondering how it formed and fell from the sky, but now that he was an adult, winter was rather a passing hello. A hello to the frozen waters, a hello to the desire to feel the heat, a hello to the powdery white snow in the streets. Nonetheless, Jong-in liked watching the snowflakes, tiny particles waltzing in the air until they gracefully touched the ground, dissolving out of plain sight; he reached his hand out and waited for the single snowflake to slowly descend on his hand. He smiled when it finally did, feeling as if the snow had kissed his fingertip. He might not be able to completely experience the winter's wonder, but he always felt the winter's magic.
Cha Hae-in
‱ For once, she felt at ease; the icy blues of the sky and the tiny specks of snowfall drifting gradually in the air, they made her enamored, drawn in a spell that she could never take her eyes off. There was something about the winter that soothed her soul like a lullaby. Today, she woke up past her usual time, which only meant that winter had arrived. The season allowed her to sleep longer until her body was satisfied. Hae-in made herself hot chocolate milk, added with marshmallows, she stirred her mug and sat on the bean bag next to the broad glass window. She dragged a fur blanket over her lap as she glanced at the city outside of her condominium, the sky was clear and clouds were like cotton, utterly white that there were no trace of a bad weather in them. The streets were engulfed with snow and some areas might be slippery. Hae-in's mind ran over various of ways she could spend her day as the first day of snow. Sure, winter would stay for quite some time, but Hae-in hoped she wouldn't miss a thing. Winter had brought the inner child of her which she never expected it was still there.
Sung Jin-woo
‱ Inhaling the frigid air, it reminded him of the coziness brought by the heater as he and his sister were wrapped under the comforters, watching the movie their father had chosen. His mother would return from the market and prepare the most delicious stew. Jin-woo tugged on the collar of his jacket, burying his hands into his pockets to feel a tad warmth. Tank and the other bears were rolling around the snow, whining tenderly, their pleasant mood was palpable for Jin-woo to stay longer outside in the empty field where no other person could see them. Kaisel crawled under the snow and sprung up, sending fragments of snow everywhere, flapping its wings in delight. The ants were oddly curious of their surroundings, sniffing and even eating the snow, while Beru and others had found themselves forming shapes out of snow. Whether he admit it or not, he liked what he was witnessing, rather than a bloodshed battle. With his shadows happy, he was happy too. Seeing their other side was enough for Jin-woo to feel as though he had not lost that part of him either. Perhaps he could drag his sister out to play later on. Make snow angels and throw snow balls at each other. But now, Jin-woo chose to relish in the happiness radiating from his soldiers.
Woo Jin-chul
‱ The barista placed the cup of coffee on the counter. Jin-chul muttered his 'thank you' and grabbed the cup, bringing it to his lips to take a sip on the creamy, chocolatey coffee. He pushed the door on his way out and the temperature immediately changed. From the warm and cozy ambiance of the cafĂ© to the icy and tough atmosphere of the winter. His breaths came in small clusters of mist, the tips of his ears turned into a soft taint of red, though he did not shiver and continued his stroll. Usually, most would do the best out of snow, but for Jin-chul, he'd rather stay in the background and watch the lives of people and the way they coped with the cold. It was him and his hot coffee against the breezy winter, shrouding the whole city — country — into pale white.
Eun-seok
‱ He had a dream. . . The shivering wind gyrating around his hand, the softness of snow beneath his feet, and the tender warmth from the fire. He wished to feel it again. In his grandfather's home, where it was him and his cousins, curled on the ondol floor, sprawling their bodies as they waited for the old man to finish the oyster stew. Winter had been the happiest season in his life, he loved each day of it more than the rest of the seasons. He couldn't wait to hold a mug contained with hot chocolate and a movie waiting for him in his living room. Eun-seok cracked a smile, staring at the clear blue sky, imagining the things he wanted to do. . . Things he still wanted to do. As his life came short, falling into the deadly hands of the vicious ants, devouring every inch of his dear life, he hoped that if the afterlife existed, he would wake up in winter's embrace, surrounded by endless snow.
Lee Ju-hee
‱ She was not a big fan of the cold. Lee Ju-hee already missed the beaming shine of sunlight, radiating across the city. Bright and lively. Now, she had woken up to the streets covered in white, so rather than making breakfast, she dressed herself in layers of clothing to keep herself warm and a pair of mittens to protect her hands from touching anything that had been grasped by the harsh atmosphere. She returned to the comfort of her home once she was done, along with the purple petunia that she had picked up after noticing how it was not coping well with the snow, she placed it next to the window where it had the most sunlight. Ju-hee gently caressed the petals with her bare hand, feeling the softness beneath her skin; she smiled, glad how it did not easily waver in the freezing wind. Just like her. Winter had not been her favorite season, but she learned how tender things could be, thus must be held in the warmest hands.
Min Byung-gyu
‱ Children were always rhapsodic no matter what season it was. Whether it was the embracing winter or the beaming summer, Byung-gyu lived to see those smiles on their faces as if the world they stood upon was a paradise. Laughter echoed in the wind across the neighborhood, kids threw snowballs at one another, Byung-gyu watched with a broad grin; he used his arms to shield his face from being hit by the snowballs and turned to his back on the playful children as he gathered a cluster of snow, pressing it into a ball, then he launched it at one of the kids. He guffawed when he heard them squeal. Unfortunately, it was all when he heard a cry among them. A little boy was sniffling after being hit in the head, so knowing what he must do, Byung-gyu placed his hand on the boy's head to ease the pain; everything returned to the way it was in an instant. Byung-gyu wished to maintain the happiness amidst the cold climate, as well as keeping everyone from pain.

Tumblr media
· His parents are native to South Korea. As soon as they were married, they moved to America to give their first and only son a better life. It was a typical life, too. He was happy and content. His was smart, loved to explore different things and often delved into music. That wasn't ideal for his parents, but they allowed him to take guitar lessons regardless if they wanted him to learn the skill or not. In high school he met his first love, Jun Park, another Korean in the small town of Astoria, Oregon. They grew close relatively quickly and she got the approval by his parents quickly, too.
· The two of them managed to go to college together, graduate and simply live a good life. They were happy, but they did not get married. A part of Jude wasn't sure if the married life was in the near future for them, though he had the desire to marry. As they started to grow together, he was becoming more and more okay with the idea of marrying Jun. Their life did change drastically when she became pregnant and had their son, Ewan. Jude fell completely in love. He was a good father, happy to do anything they his son and girlfriend needed. Yet, he still did not ask her to marry him. He wondered if that's why she did what she did - Jun cheated on him. It completely devastated him.
· It was a messy break-up. Their son caught in the middle of it all. Luckily, it was a dual-custody agreement between Jun and Jude but there's been an agreement where Ewan spends more time with his father as it has started to become a drag for Jun to take care of her son. At least, that's what it seemed like. The visits became less and less and contacting Jun became harder. The situation was rough for Jude, but he prevailed nonetheless. He decided a move was more than needed.
· Dauntridge, Oregon became a haven that Jude and Ewan didn't know they needed. He found a place within the small, quaint town. He bought a townhouse. He got a job at the local pub which tips help him get by. Jude even joined a local band and they often play at the pub or other small venues in town of presence and being a single dad but he genuinely gets by the best he can with what he currently has.

Dramas I watched this past month! The month of the rewatch. (Also spoilers!)
Crush (cdrama) 6.5
This had such a strong start and then went downhill bad (like really bad).
Psychology student decides to sort of intern (? at a special education school and meets a blind braille teacher there. There’s also music involved.
Like in most cdramas I’ve watched, everyone behaves like a twelve-year-old, and the conflict starts out of things that an adult should be able to prevent. The main couple drastically changes in the second half, and it’s like you are watching a whole other drama.
Into the Ring (kdrama) (rewatch) 10 ⭐
My eternal love to Nana in this (and in general. I’m in love with her). Se Ra is probably my favorite FL from all the dramas I’ve watched.
I remember being very skeptical the first time I saw this (because politics, kinda boring?) but it was so worth it.
Park Sung Hoon is also such an excellent companion to all of her craziness. His and Nana's chemistry was one of the best ones. The awkward but somehow very comfortable atmosphere you feel while watching them is next level. Still one of my favorite dramas. 10/10, I adore it.
Doona! (kdrama) 8
I still have mixed feelings about this one. The sort of angst romance was on point. Actors were good, narrative was fast-paced and kept me entertained. Doona is presented as a complex character and so the story even with happy moments, feels very bittersweet. But even with all that, I feel like I'd have to watch it again because there’s something that puts me off but I can’t quite decide what it is exactly.
I also want to know why they had her wearing tiny tank tops and shorts in snowy winter lol

A Business Proposal (kdrama) (rewatch) 8.5
The first time I watched a business proposal I didn’t really like it. I thought it was way too cliche and absurd and dropped it after the third episode. It was the fourth kdrama I had watched after Crash Landing on You, Hometown Cha Cha Cha, and Twenty-Five Twenty-One so like
it had big shoes to fill in. I came back to it eventually and finished it.
Now after rewatching
I think learned to appreciate a good over-the-top rom-com (they became my favorites lol) and this definetly hits all the boxes. It feels like an instant classic. Also music 10/10.
Usokon (jdrama) 7
If it is marriage contract/fake dating then sign me the fuck up!!! Usokon started strong but at some point (around episode 8/9) I started getting frustrated. We know that there are feelings involved, but nobody is doing anything about it. The ML (even though he absolutely steals the show) doesn’t do anything to move forward, and the FL is too clueless to make a move. And so there’s not enough romance in a drama that is primarily romantic since the main focus is their fake marriage/ relationship. Also, it had such a frustrating ending!!!
My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (kdrama) 7,5 ⭐
Nothing beats old kdramas, they have such a particular nostalgic vibe that makes you unable to stop watching. My girlfriend is a gumiho was so sooo stupid, childish, and even cringe, but so cute!!! Every time Shin Min Ah and Lee Seung Gi were together on screen I couldn’t stop smiling. I can totally see this one becoming a comfort drama. Another one with soundtrack 10/10.
Daily Dose of Sunshine (kdrama) 9
I read somewhere that this was like a mental health for dummies book, and to be honest, it’s kind of like that, but it works so well! The way they visualized mental disorders was so creative, I was impressed.
All the characters were intriguing enough to keep me going. Everyone had something to offer here. Even the patients from each episode.
Watching this felt deeply sad yet deeply comforting as well. Park Bo Young absolutely kills it (as usual. QUEEN).
Twinkling Watermelon (kdrama) 9.5
This one was pure gold. Time travel to meet the younger version of your parents? Sign me fuck up. The idea of sending Eun Gyeol back in time to try to understand his family and live his youth is such a cool (and emotional af) premise. It had the ideal balance of comedy and emotion. I feel like sixteen episodes weren’t enough. I could have sat there for another twenty episodes watching those teenagers being silly lol.

With the twin flames ask. I get how stelena and Ashburn are twin flames and I can easily see how they're mirrors of each other other. But in another post u also said eun tak and kim shim are twin flames and I know they have an otherworldly connection and she jump started spiritual growth for him but I don't see how they're mirrors (one soul in two bodies)
Which is interesting considering that I find that the visuals of the drama indicate that type of one-soul-in-two-bodies connection
Tumblr media
Another characteristic some have said about twin flames, which is related to the two-bodies-one-soul aspect of the connection is the excruciating pain one feels to be away from their twin flame
The separation stage will send you into a depression like you have never been before. You might feel physical pain or like you are losing a part of your body to be apart from your twin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shin can't bear to be away from her to the point that he effectively chooses to condemn himself to limbo just so his presence can be around her
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The 'mirror' aspect of the twin flames connection has so many different definitions but it's effectively that a twin's behaviour mirrors something internally in the other, there are just many different characterizations of what that actually means. And frankly, narratively speaking, I think the definitions fit Reaper and Goblin more since their roles are literally to be reflective of each other/foils for each other.
Although there are some elements of the mirror concept that do fit with Eun Tak and Shin, like an example that's been made is that if you're angry with your twin flame then you could actually be responding to their own disdain about themselves and your outward anger is mirroring their inward anger so Eun Tak's frustration with Shin and his elusiveness mirrors Shin's inner frustration and how he tries to elude loving her because he doesn't want to leave her/doesn't want her to kill him/doesn't want her to suffer being the one to murder him and that all catalyzes Shin's ability to just be in love with her and when he has that ability to just be in love with her, when he reaches that growth, that allows for them to be happy (for a while because, you know, fate).
The issue with mirroring and why there are some characteristics of twin flames as a dysfunctional and toxic concept is I think anyone can stretch that and it can kind of mean anything so it's why I focus on the other characteristics of the idea when applying the connection to ships.

i tried not to make it long. i’m sorry. i was little hesitant to send it in but after the announcement, i figured why not? i was sad when i wrote it 💔😔
TC!dad!JK
you just nod your head and lay your head against jungkook’s chest. he tells you he’ll improve, he tells you that he missed you, he tells you he’ll never hurt you again, he tells you all of these things and promises and you’re not sure if they’re coming from an honest place or not.
you tried turning your prison into a happy home and it never works.
your mind can’t keep revamping yourself over and over. mentally, you’re tired. so, so tired. you’re not sure you’ll be the same after all of this because you aren’t happy. nothing makes you happy anymore.
when you hear your whining children and jungkook’s response to it, you chuckle. jawon is just playing with his toys, not really paying attention to the two of you but ayra and ji-eun clearly want your affection. they whine for you and just keep saying mama until you get them out.
maybe that’s why he got so harsh with you. you don’t know what his father did to his family but it’s clear he still has a grip on jungkook even in death. it’s probably why he refuses to leave this all behind. maybe it’s to prove that he could rule and conquer better than his father ever could. sure, it’s because he cares but with a father like his, you’re sure he just wants to prove his father wrong.
your eyes sadden when jungkook reveals what he did to him and his mother. you feel TERRIBLE for comparing jungkook to that monster when truly he’s nothing like that. his kids love him, the people adore him, his allies support and appreciate his leadership. he may not be the best partner but he tries.
you kind of feel ungrateful and start believing that you’re the problem. it is always you starting stuff and whenever he tries to finish it, you just keep going.
that’s why he blamed you because it really is all your fault.
“you don’t have to live that life anymore. he’s gone and you’re a better father than he ever could be. i can’t sit here and lie about that. you didn’t let his words get to you and you became an amazing dad for your children. i’m sorry i said that. i didn’t know how much that would hurt you. i won’t say it again” you say as you pull away from jungkook who is reluctant to let you go. it feels cold without your embrace. “i
i have to go” you say and you just leave.
over the next few days, you’re awfully blue. nothing makes you happy anymore. sure, your kids mean the world to you but not even their smiles can bring a smile to your face. it’s like a cloud lingers over your head and follows you around.
you still tend to your duties and your kids but your wellbeing has been a concern for everyone in the palace. some people say it’s just the baby blues. some say you’re doing it for attention. some say you might be pregnant again. some say you’re just severely tired but many believe you’re in a deep depression.
when it gets back to jungkook, he was hurt to hear about it. he noticed it, sure but you normally push through. maybe too much has happened for you to be happy again.
he asks a maid where you were and they report that you’re in the royal garden. he instructs the nannies to take the kids somewhere so he could have some private time with you. he was going to do something special for you.
so there you were, sitting in the grass, and writing in a book. your hair is in a messy updo and you’re sporting glasses; you look like a little scholar.
here goes nothing, his attempt at making you happy again

~đŸ«§
You look so beautiful and peaceful like this. It’s like almost he doesn’t want to disturb you, but he knows that you’re going through something and you need him.ïżŒ
Just like he needs you.
Jungkook sighs and exhales, he slowly walks towards you, and you don’t even notice his presence because you’re so focused on your book. and he takes his time to notice your expressions, the way your eyebrows furrow and the way your nose scrunches from time to time.
You are the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen in his life.
“Yn? Sweetheart may I sit beside you?” he asks you. So you finally look at him, and you are surprised to see him. “I swear I won’t disturb you. Just wanted to spend some time with you.” he scratches the back of his neck awkwardly smiling.
When you finally granted the permission to sit beside you, he doesn’t waste any time, and now he is sitting right beside you.
He takes his time to notice the book in your hands, but it doesn’t interest him at all. “what are you reading about?” he looks at you smiling.
You tell him about the content of the book and he just nods along because he’s really not interested in the book but it’s good to see you talking to him without stuttering or thinking, or being even careful of what you say to him.
“Mhmm.. so I can tell that something is on your mind and you are not happy yn.” His eyes hold a concern look in them he doesn’t know how to go about it so he just said it.
“baby do you need to tell me what is bothering you so I can help you because it’s really hard for me to see you like this I can tell that you are really depressed.. I have noticed the way you don’t even smile around the children anymore
and that’s really serious.” he just wants to make you happy, but he doesn’t know how to because he’s always the reason behind your sadness.
“Yn..” you are nervous, he can tell. So he takes your hand, and he puts the book aside on the grass. he stares right into your eyes and caresses your hands. Trying to get you to calm down and relax.
“Look
tell me. I’m willing to fix it all for you. Just I need to know why you are so sad is it because of me? Or maybe you have fallen out of love with me and it’s a burden to be with me?” he whispers the last part because it is so scary to even hear these words come out out of his mouth.
He doesn’t want that to be at the case at all.
“you can tell me anything and I swear I won’t react the way I do and I’ll listen to you without any complaints.”

Y/n: Do you know why because my fucking family left me while as was barely 3 years * grabs a knife and start cutting her wrist and crying and laaughing crazily*
Y/n: I have been searching all my for them that maybe we can become a family again  but as I grew up I started hating them more and I don't care whether there died the only reason why am still alive is probably because of my mom and others So if you want to kill me then fine or better still take the necklace I have finally found a to abandon it just like the of my family did
A/n: Every one of them is shocked suddenly Jungkook came to her slowly and

So you've written about how your ocs meet their darlings but which one of them would immediately kidnap her and which one of them would wait?
a/n: hewwo.... i have broken another hiatus. sorry ive been gone for so long all the time hehehe but you guys keep the inbox filled so i always have to return!
i dont think ill have any more medical emergencies so i should be able to keep going til at least after kinktober hehehe i have plans!!
anyway, thank you for this wonderful ask! ive grouped them up but, if you want more in-depth headcanons, just send another ask in and id be happy to write something!
warning: mentions of kidnapping, just yandere things

kidnapping you almost immediately. they know that you're the one so why waste time and wait? it'll be a very impulsive thing so the whole plan is sloppy and it's honestly a surprise that they don't get caught. will take care of you as best as they can but they're not very prepared so they don't keep you anywhere else but their bedroom with a couple of cheap handcuffs or something

will only kidnap you when their obsession reaches its peak. there won't be anything that really triggers it honestly, which makes it a bit unpredictable. their love for you just keeps growing, you know? and, at some point, they just can't be without you by their side constantly. they need you there with them. might be well planned, might not. definitely would keep you in their bedroom though because they can't be away from you for a second!

will only kidnap you when they get jealous. the world doesn't deserve to even gaze at you and the fear that you'll be tricked by some idiot out there scares the shit out of them. they need to keep you safe, far away from anyone that would threaten to take you away. also might be well planned, might not. leaning more to the might not because they need to get you away as soon as possible and sometimes that means right that second that they get jealous

kidnapping you is the last resort. most likely, these yanderes are the most self-aware of how unacceptable their obsessions are so they know that they need to push these urges to have you to themselves as far as possible. still, sometimes, push comes to shove. they'll also have the most elaborate method of kidnapping and they'll be hardest to get away from. after so long of meticulously planning, they've thought of everything
